"This is insane!" The doctor protested. "-This is science!" Ivan countered. Both scientists eyes were gaping wide, except one was horrified with fear and the other thrilled beyond comprehension. His grin stretched from ear to ear as he gazed into the monitor with undivided attention. Meanwhile, the aides were having a meltdown in the background; some even starting packing their bags and backing up all their files and data. Saiyans are unpredictable and violent. They are easily angered, especially when their pride had been tested the way Ivan had with his ludicrous taunting. But he did not repent. Ivan was mesmerized in the valuable data they were obtaining from this little 'spar'. The doctor, however, stood with tail between his legs and a foot out the door.
The entire chamber was illuminated by the saiyan's boundless energy. Electrical currents sparked across the dome shaped walls and conglomerated towards the center of the roof. Man struggled to glance at the sun that was Conri as he cast the shadows asunder in his culminating blaze. The numbers continued to rise still with no sign of retardation. Among the static reverberating throughout the chamber, Man could hear Conri's voice echo in the distance from within the flare. "The date of my activation took place approximately thirty days ago," he responded. The android could not understand the relevance of such an inquiry, but he saw a window of opportunity. Perhaps he could learn something about the saiyan, something statistics could not. The basic information about saiyans were already downloaded into his system long before his awakening. He knew they resided on the Earth's Moon and that they had previously perished from the universe before being rebirthed through DNA cells. He was also aware of their characteristic traits, such a black hair, black eyes, a tail, and an impulsive and destructive personality. Conri only reconfirmed all this information with the exception of his blue hair. Man knew he power-level, and the scientists were sure to have figured out his approximate age -otherwise, they could look it up in the roster of the late tournament.
So Man was left with a question of his own. What did he not know about the saiyan?

So, the android was built thirty days ago and he was only asked for testing at this point? That seemed a bit odd to test so far after the activation date, what were they testing him for against Conri then? More questions just seemed to pile up in his mind around this situation and he was liking it less and less. Still, if the android was going to be so forward with information maybe he could try to figure out some extra things about what these people were up to here. "Alright, couple more questions then. What was the purpose behind your creation, what were you built for?" it seemed a simple enough question, so he figured it would be easy to answer as well.
The energy continued to build up, and as he thought about what he was doing, he realized that it was probably would have been a better idea to try it at a lower power output. Oh well, he was about to science a bit himself here so why not go for broke with the technique and so he continued to draw in all the energy that he could. That was when he began to alter the composition of the electricity as a whole, wrapping it around his frame instead as a thin veil of electrical energy. He wondered how badly this would hurt if he pulled it off wrongly, and didn't really want to find out, it was more of him creating a brand new technique on the spot. Whether they understood that or not didn't matter to him, they would remember what he was about to do with it that was for sure.
There was no time to make sure everything went off without a hitch, so he focused on the most important aspect of it right now. Lightning swirled around him faster and faster, engulfing the Half-Saiyan completely in a sphere of electricity, as the power continued to increase. Charge 3

"My purpose..." Man's eyes dropped to the floor. His true reason for existing was one he could not disclose to the saiyan, especially while he garnered all of that energy. If he were conscious of their goals, he could blow them up in an instant. His attack would wipe him out along with all of the scientists, the facility, and perhaps the entire town as well. But he could not simply disregard the question either; it would be far too suspicious. The android searched for a feasible explanation. Any answer, as long as it were reasonable, would likely satisfy the saiyan. But, just the same, any wrong answer could tip him off like a time bomb and eradicate all life within their range. "I'm...-" "Allow me to answer that question," Ivan buzzed in through the microphone and saved the day.
"I'm sure you wanted to hear it from Zero himself, but being his creator, I know much more about him than he does," the scientist cleverly explained. His silver tongue was known to subdue any. "I have to say, I'm both thrilled and flattered to see you are interested in our project. My team and I have worked thoroughly to create the next line of defense. Model Zero is the first accomplished attempt at developing an intelligent machine, designed to keep the peace and order within the Omega Collective. Martial Artists like yourselves have proven to provide more than enough protection, but records of battles throughout history recite the tale of fallen patriots who could have been saved if such technology existed at the time. Model Zero is such technology, a war machine, and he will prevent would-be heroes from having to throw their lives away to threats of terrorists or everyday muggers. In the first days of his creation we have been running tests to make sure he would not run wild like previous prototypes. There were countless corrections and safety procedures to undergo before he could be exposed to outside interaction. Thanks to the Intergalactic Tournament, we found you, the strongest warrior in the known universe; thus, the perfect candidate for such an occasion. I really do apologize for using you like this, we are infinitely grateful."
And with that, the transmission ended. And of course, he let out the fact that Man was destined to annihilate Conri's race for a crime they would probably never commit. The android glanced overhead with a distant gaze. Is that really all I am? he thought. He had heard that speech countless times, every time they were said in a different manner and every time it sounded like God handing him a book with everything he ever was, is and will be. For a split second, hearing his master describe him yet again seemed to bring about an internal inspection of himself, but that did not last long before the saiyan's power began to cause worry. The chamber began to shake vibrantly at its core, but not yet enough to knock Man down. The android stood steady, and his disassociated gaze focused on the shining ball of energy bulging above. Man squint his eyes as an attempt to cope with the pressure of the saiyan's might. His power level grew incessantly to the point that electricity sparked throughout his body and burned his scouter's processor.
Man placed his hand over an eye. No longer able to detect his surroundings, he was practically blind with only his visuals to fall back on. "What are you trying to do?" he interrogated.

As the android paused from starting to talk, the Half-Saiyan could see that he was thinking about something with serious regard. An interesting thing to see from an android considering that they tended to not have to think much regarding what their purpose or mission. As Zero started to speak once more, he was interrupted by the one called Ivan, the one that had taunted him just moments before this little experiment of his own. There was something that annoyed him about this guy, probably had to do with the way he tried to sway things away from where Conri wanted them. As he gave the textbook version of what this Model Zero was supposed to accomplish which wasn't the answer the Half-Saiyan had wanted either.
"That's all well and good, but a war machine designed to be replacement for people who protect the innocent? You don't see the problem with that train of logic? Well, I guess logic is the problem in that regard as well. Anyways, what I wanted was Zero's take on it, what you say he's designed for and how that gets interpreted to him are different things. So, Zero, tell me what all that means to you and how you would be able to accomplish such a thing?" he was curious about it. Though his curiosity was for different reasons, if he was supposed to be helping this android then he would do the job right as well. There was no way that he would just let a weapon loose after having trained with it, he was going to make sure that it would follow the right way of doing things. Whether the guy named Ivan liked it or not, and given his little surprise for the scientists he doubted they would like him after all this was done and over with.
The energy was hitting its peak power, with this he would be ready to fully shape and unleash it, but before he did the latter he wanted to learn a bit more from Zero. If the Android could interpret things different from how his creator's thought, then maybe he could also alter his mind in a way that was for the better. The mission of protecting people and keeping law and order wasn't such a simple task that it could just be done in a linear way, after all. Whether the scientists knew that or not, he didn't know nor did he care that much about finding out from them. He wanted to know if Zero knew that. The question from the android brought a smirk to his lips.
"I'm creating a brand new, never before seen technique," he answered, starting to shape the energy into the true form he wanted it to take now. The energy blanketing him in a dome, as it became a thick sheet that block out vision, he began to draw in the power so as to limit how far it reached out before it was unleashed. The energy now being restrained to about ten feet around Conri, it swirled in a manner that made it appear as a contained vortex. Charge 4

Ugh! Ivan snarled, "he's persistent, isn't he..." the scientist was starting to grow impatient with the pushy saiyan sticking his nose where it did not belong. His hands reached for the microphone yet again, but they were promptly stopped by the scaled grip of his reptilian assistant. "Doctor!?" he whined, glaring at his fellow peer. The doctor shook his head in disapproval, "Ivan, if you keep interrupting, the saiyan will become suspicious -and the last thing we want is the Saiyan Empire sticking their tails where it does not belong. Model Zero is a smart android, he wont give us away." "-But!" the scientist protested, but the doctor silenced him with the lift of a finger. "If Model Zero starts showing any signs of self-awareness, we'll just reprogram his memories, right?"
Finally subdued, Ivan laid down his hand reluctantly, cursing to the wind. "Yes, but there's only so many times before we run out of combinations..."
Conri's attack began to condense and tighten around the saiyan's body. Being an android, Man was unaffected by the intense solar flare emitting from the mass of energy he had formed. But his armor began to slowly give way to the heat radiating from its core. Touching Man would probably singe the skin of a living being, and in return, a blow -given right- would deform his metallic components and have him look disfigured. The scientists had a lot of things to fix after their little spar. It was not just the chamber anymore, but Man himself. Of course, not considering that he had yet to unleash whatever monstrous technique he was about to demonstrate. What really had him anxious though, was the loss of his scouter, which he relied on so heavily. And yet again, the question was restated, awaiting an answer from the android.
"I'm not sure how I'd do it," he said, "but if my purpose is to protect the people of the Omega Collective, then I will do so no matter what the cost may be."

Rubbing his head slightly he was trying to figure out a better way to ask the question to the android, but he wasn't sure how to phrase it either. Sighing softly, there was far too much for him to consider with the wording, so he figured that he would simplify it with a question and see what happened. "Alright, answer me this then, is you main purpose going to be to stop criminals or protect the innocent? There isn't always going to be a situation where both is possible, so you have to make a choice of which is more important," he figured that would be a good question to start with. Then again, even in his own mind, there were variables with it, but the direct question demanded a direct answer. Would man live up to his own expectations or would he fall short?
With the technique finally molded and prepared, he looked over towards the android once more, "Are you ready for this? I have no idea if it will work right or the extent of what it will do. So you should brace yourself." It was only fair to give the android warning about him being ready to unleash the technique, there wasn't a whole lot that could be done to stop it at this point with the energy charge into it. This was one of his favorite parts, testing out a new technique on the spot and then figuring out a way to fine tune it after the first successful test.
"On a side note, do you know what a taunt is?" he asked, genuinely curious as to if the Android understood the simple terminology. He seemed to be lacking fundamentals to his database and a lot of those things were actually important to know for the future, especially where he was going to be fighting himself. It was a shame that there was a need for an android to be built for that purpose as well, but he supposed that there wasn't a whole lot that could be done about it in the end.

Man grit his teeth. More questions, he thought. The saiyan's persistence was beginning to reach even the android's thick head. But his annoyance was not linked with his master's. Man did not mind the act, but the questions themselves and the difficulty they posed. In his mind, there was no difference; criminals threatened the well-being of the public and the general public is powerless against those criminals. If his purpose was to protect the greater good, then destroying the direct source of that very threat meant keeping peace and order. How could stopping criminals and protecting the innocent not be interlinked with each other? Criminals were not innocent and the innocent were not criminals, simple as that. One precedes the other.
As the saiyan warned him about the attack, Man scurried to the edges of the chamber. As none of them apparently knew what was going to happen, he figured that standing with his back against the wall as far away from Conri as possible, was the best place to be. Without his scouter, he would have never been able to predict when the attack was going to be released until it was too late. But at this distance he had more time to react to whatever would become of the large orb illuminating the room. Man clipped away his pistol, figuring that it would be a hindrance in his situation. He held on to his saber, assuming he might be able to deflect any strays coming his way. And as if the imposing ball of energy and his impossibly in-congruent question of good and evil were not enough, the saiyan tosses in yet another question. Man grimaced. He was more concerned about the large ball of ki than the questions. His answer could wait for later.

It seemed that the conversation was over as the android moved to the very back of the chamber to try and keep from getting caught by the attack he was about to unleash. Unfortunately the distance moved wasn't going to be enough to stop this next attack of his, especially since he made sure the distance was approximate to the entire building if not a little more. Then again he mostly just made it far too wide spread than he meant to, and was going to take out an entire city block, it was hard to tell! Either way he supposed it was time to put an end to this little game of theirs and teach them what it meant to mock him. There were things that people could call Conri, but nice was not one of them, he could be a dick when he wanted to be and he had no issues accepting that part of himself.
With the energy now swirling around him and no longer within his hands, he wondered for a moment what this would actually feel like if it hit him. If he wanted to become stronger, he would probably have to figure a way to experience it at some point, just so that he could let his body become used to the feeling. First he had to finish this fight, however, and with that he spread his arms out as far as they would go on either side of him and let the attack loose. With the restraint being released the attack moved outward in a pulse of electric energy that seemed different from normal lightning blasts. This one sent out a radiation-like energy in front of the blast that seemed to not cause any physical damage, but when it reached something electronic the systems would completely fry. Shortly after that came the actual blast of lightning that left scorch marks along the ground, this burst would stop at the walls of the chamber.
The other blast, however, passed through the wall with easy reaching out about one hundred and fifty-two meters frying everything and anything that was electronic. The scientists computers and anything else that was electronic or had computer components would be instantly rendered useless with the pulse. Should it hit Zero head on, it would cause a number of glitches in his system due to the increased power of the technique as well. It would more than likely fry out the gravity chamber on top of that, thus rendering the training and spar finished for the time being. Maybe this would teach that scientist that spoke before a lesson about mocking someone that he knew nothing about, especially when he was someone that didn't take crap like Conri.
Walking to where he remembered the door to be, he used his strength to move it out of the way, turning to Zero's direction, "If you want to know the right way to answer the question, find me when you are ready. It's been fun Zero, take care." With that he walked out of the facility that had just been rendered dark by his newest technique. A rather fun one that carried with it a lot of potential. (PL please, heavy weights) {Technique: Electromagnetic Wave: Conri gathers lightning around his form and unleashes a powerful pulse of electricity that spreads out to one hundred and fifty-two meters. This pulse has two different energies entwined within it, the initial which is a radiation-like energy that renders electronics such as scouters and the like useless and causes glitches in android that are dependent on their power level. The secondary blast is an actual burst of lightning that was used to create the initial one, this one causes damage to anything organic caught in its path.]

Saiyans were dangerous. Saiyans were unpredictable. Saiyans were volatile and violent creatures who's records of destructive behaviors date back to over thousands of years. One day they nearly perished, and the next, they did. The universe lost a pandemic race, and for a time, became a better place to exist. But then the tailed beings were brought back from extinction, and the world's pain was reawakened. Its scars reopened. Such a thing is what they were fighting against. These were the truths Model Zero had been told and accepted blindly. Such tales meant nothing to a drone like Model Zero. He did not think of it. Whether it was real or not did not change the fact that he was his master's creation, and his purpose was to fulfill the will imposed upon him. They were nothing but words, empty, no substance, no attachment, no opinions. But now, his eyes were open, and he could see for himself; they were right. The realization dawned on him as he observed the convoluted sphere above, churning and rippling with excess ki. The sphere he had irrationally allowed the saiyan to produce uncontested. A light so bright it simulated the stars. Light so conceited, it would burn the eyes of whomever was foolish enough to glance at it.
Man, clad in armor, rushed to the edged of the gravity chamber with his back to the wall. His built-in scouter had stopped functioning, but even so, nothing could have saved him from this one. For the first time, he was made to judge with his own eyes, unaided by the mechanisms which were joint to him at the moment of his awakening. He gazed with slitted eyes, observing the sphere above. It felt weird to look at the world without the constant beeping he was so accustomed to, and the figures and numbers which shifted in his lenses and warned him about everything there was to worry about. It all seemed so dull somehow, as if something were missing. But the more he searched and searched, he couldn't find a thing. Zero gnashes his teeth concluding that his efforts were in vain. And immediately after, as if it were specifically waiting for the android to comprehend his situation, the compressed ball of energy expanded.
There were two of them. The first, Man barely noticed as a nearly invisible force oscillating in the wind. It was unavoidable. And it was only a harbinger for the true destruction that followed closely behind it. The wave faded through the android and past the walls of the chamber. It spread to the rest of the facility and beyond, shutting down the lights of streets of several blocks -but most importantly, shutting down the laboratory. The controls began to go haywire and sparked over their monitors. Ivan staggered back as they each began to burn out one after the other in consecutive but short explosions. "Damn him!" the scientist cursed, slamming his fist on the monitor. He was lucky his aides thought ahead and started backing up all of their files, but it would still take plenty of time for them to recuperate from today's events. The doctor stood silently behind him. All he could do was offer a pat on the shoulder and hope it would serve of some solace. But now they were cut from the fight, unable to witness the horror Model Zero was about to endure...
His eyes widened. It was his first time Man experienced an electromagnetic wave. It was like nothing he had ever felt before and he had no idea of how to cope with it; that is, if it were even possible. His limbs spread, paralyzed beyond comprehension as static coursed throughout his mechanisms. He trembled. His vision blurred and dimmed. He felt his systems starting to malfunction as everything began to slow down before him. It was like the gentle but persistent hand of a woman, forcing open the mouth of a lion. The lion could struggle all he wants, but it was only a matter of time before he tired and the woman force her will upon it. There was no real way to fight it -he didn't know how. Gradually he felt his consciousness sway as it hung by a thread. His mind flickering like the screen of a broken television.
The second wave struck the lion down. It came at a distance, burrowing through the ground as it approached with all its destructive power. It tore away at the most superficial layer of the chamber's floor and the domed walls that held it in like a plasma globe. The lightning rippled, growing ever nearer, and he was helpless to do anything against it. Finally, after building up the suspense, Man feels the vine's sharp sting. "AAAGH!!" He yelled. The very first yell he had ever made, forced by the hand of a saiyan. He had never been so loud in his life. But his scream was cut short by the sharp static vibrating throughout his being. His voice throbbed. His body was stripped of most of its armor as the lightning drilled into him sporadically. His senses took turns switching on and off. The room flashed black and white in his eyes. Sound seemed to fluctuate from static to screams to the chirping of a thousand birds.
Soon enough, the lightning finally subsided and Model Zero was free to drop. He collapsed on his knees, and his arms lay blandly beside him. His golden blond hair muddled over his face, concealing his grayed out eyes gazing at the ceiling. Electrical currents stirred and cackled over his shattered frame as steam rose from the etches of his skin. With the little consciousness that remained, he uttered his final words, hoping the saiyan might hear him and answer before departing. But his vocal cords were damaged, and as a result, his voice too weak.
"What's the difference... between a fighter and a warrior? ... Where do you get your... power?"
(Unless Conri responds, this is my final post. Power-level and criticism please. xP)
