It felt as if the moment her eyes glanced over to the Queen the woman erupted. Keeping a level and calm stare directed at the Queen, Akassa said nothing. Standing in silence she barely reacted to the harsh words and the disrespectful labels her supposed step-mother spat forth. Mutt was one she had heard plenty of times, and not just from her mother, but being labeled as a bitch was something the Queen had not done before, at least not loud enough for Akassa to hear. As the woman continued to try and explain that Ninjin was never going to be replaced as the heir to the throne, something the Princess herself was in complete agreement with, she was glad there was no one else within ear shot to over hear all of this. In her mind most of what had been said and was currently being said was downright disgraceful to be coming from the mouths of Hattori’s.
What aggravated her most about her Queen’s outburst was the reaction from her father. His only display of any control over the woman was his simply words, not silencing the woman outright as he should. She was Queen, ranked higher than almost everyone one else, but not higher than him, no one had the right to speak to her father as she did. Natisha had lifted her hand to silence the King, such a disrespectful gesture having caused Akassa’s jaw to tighten ever so slightly although it only lasted a moment. For a fraction of a second the thought of stepping over to smack the woman across the face came to mind, wanting to remind the female of who she had been wed too. As quickly as the uncontrolled thought formed, it vanished as the female calmed once more.
Through her peripheral vision she saw Ninjin moving forward some, suddenly dropping to knee in full salute. The action almost made her gasp out loud. Her brother always paid respect to the King and Queen, but almost never adopted the formalities that came with it, especially dropping to a knee. As he quickly starts to apologize for his comments she suddenly felt as if the whole scene was quite awkward. Such words and actions were incredibly uncharacteristic for her brother at least as she had known him in the recent years. Had his trip to Alpha Prime really humbled him as much as he had said?

As the soldier watched this incredibly awkward, loud, and obnoxious scene play out before her she had to hold back a smile and stifle a laugh. This was the nail in the coffin, so to speak, to confirm what this tournament had brought to her attention in the first place. Despite their titles, formalities, and supposed 'higher blood' this family she was working under was no different than anyone else. Their positions over her were nothing more than random chance due to being born in the royal household. If the roles were reversed and Celeh had been born into such circumstances she would likely be on the same level as them in more ways than just raw power. She could see it clearly...if she had the support, opportunities, and respect that the King's children had when she was born...she'd have excelled much faster in her training and her rank. It's true that they had much more responsibility now that they were of age, but children are still children and royal or not, they would have been given leniency in their youth for the sake of learning. The king did not seem to be an unforgiving man, and certainly not to his children. The queen, however, it was hard to say. Celeh's experience with her pegged her as fickle and unpredictable at best.
Still, though, what came as the next step in this already awkward display was something that both surprised Celeh and made her want to really laugh. Ninjin had showed that he really had grown some from their time here. The first time she'd seen it since meeting the royals...Ninjin was on a knee and respectfully, formally addressing his parents in a calm, almost subordinate manner. She dropped her head as Ninjin spoke and closed her eyes, simply listening to his words and to what his parents may have to say in response.
It was clear that her presence here right now was all but nonexistent. She practically had no say at all in any of their affairs and was only there as eyes and perhaps an extra set of hands when work needed to be done. She hadn't risen from her kneeling salute since arriving, and it appeared that she would remain such until a time that the king decided they should actually depart instead of letting this scenario continue in the public eye of a rather unfavorable location. Obviously, though, it was not her place to address such concerns at the moment. And so once again Celeh kept her lips sealed. She could not speak up about anything right now. She had a somewhat unfavorable position in the royals' eyes thanks to failing her mission, so speaking too freely or asking a favor would be...poor form right now.

Things had gotten out of hand too much and now the King was dealing with threats to the legitimacy of the crown from all sides. Everyone needed to calm down in the area right now otherwise he was going to level it in an effort to make sure the crown didn’t lose any prestige. He would be the first to admit that his temper had gotten the better of him when it came to his son’s outburst to his father’s frustration over the win in the tournament. But now his wife was putting both Tsuyo and Ninjin to shame quite handedly. He had forgotten the vitriol that Natisha had for his daughter, Akassa, when he had made the threat to Ninjin. He stood and listened to her berate the King over the assumption. He could see Celeh off in the distance keeping her calm; the lucky girl knew not to get involved in matters that could be much greater than her.
Suddenly in an attempt to no doubt distract his mother Ninjin dropped to one knee and crossed his arm in front of him in a formal solute. In all of his years as king he had never seen his son perform this action. “Father I apologize for my comments, I was out of line. Mother I apologize to you as well. It is no way for a future king to act. Please accept my deepest apologies.”
The tactic worked exactly how Ninjin had planned for it to happen. Natisha was caught completely off guard by the act and was left speechless. He would have to remember to give the boy a pat on the back when they were home for getting his father out of a very bad situation. Natisha went to go to speak to Ninjin and no doubt tell him to get off of his knees but Tsuyo would take advantage first.
“Ninjin your apology is accepted and we discuss this further when we arrive back at the palace. Do not think for one second you will be getting away with that kind of disrespect,” Tsuyo boomed in a tone that was stern but thankful for the motion. “Natisha I feel it is time for us to leave this accursed rock that has done nothing but split the Hattori family.” With that Tsuyo turned and began to walk towards the ship. As he did he passed one of the Saiyan guards that were rushing down from the ship to make sure everything was okay. “Make sure Leke makes his way home. Stay on Alpha Prime until you find my youngest son and bring him back to Vegeta.” That final comment was all that was needed as Tsuyo began to board the royal star cruiser. Natisha had hesistated before following her husband and as such was several strides behind without any interruption she would soon be getting prepared to leave.

The tactic worked exactly how Ninjin had planned for it to happen. His parents were both taken aback by the gesture, his mother more than his father perhaps. Ninjin looked up and saw the look of gratitude in his father's eyes. It felt good to have gone from his ire to his praise, but he never did stay within his ire for very long. He was his father's favorite after all. His mother stood with mouth agape staring down at her son. Never before had he bowed like this to them, and he had never planned on doing it. But duty called, and it was not a call he could refuse to answer.
His father accepted his apology and made an vague hint about discussing it further, but Ninjin knew that he meant to thank him for getting him out of Natisha's crosshairs. When he mentioned leaving Omega Ninjin felt mixed feelings. On the one hand he yearned for home, just to be on New Vegeta again and bring a sense of normalcy back to his life. On the other hand he had changed so much on Omega, grown into a much better person than he had been when he arrived. So much had happened to him, it was hard to believe. He watched his father turn and walked up the ramp to board the royal cruiser, his mother behind him. The guards boarded as well, leaving Ninjin Akassa and Celeh alone.
"Well that was uncomfortable to say the least." The Prince said as he turned to address his female companions. "It'll be good to get home."
He turned and faced Celeh, his sister's body guard. Despite her close connection with his sister Ninjin had barely ever said more than a few words to the girl.
"Did you enjoy your time on Omega Celeh? I haven't heard much about your activities so you must have been staying out of trouble." It was a friendly gesture, trying to make conversation with the girl.

Just like that Ninjin was forgiven. Sure their father said they would be discussing it later, but Akassa doubted that. Her brother was able to openly disrespect the King with little to no consequences besides a scolding. Natisha seemed just as fine with it as Tsuyo did, yet the fact Akassa was half-saiyan, something beyond her control, was not forgivable. For a moment the Princess starts to feel her temper rise, but quickly quells it. There was no place for anger in such situations, the moment had passed and the point a mute one. Ninjin was the Prince, next in line for the throne so of course he was easily forgiven.
Watching her father and step-mother head onto the ship she then looks to Ninjin, agreeing completely with his words. Her time on Alpha Prime had been interesting, and even enjoyable at some points, but it was nothing compared to New Vegeta. The Moon was a small home, but it was theirs. A gift from the humans of Earth it was not the grandest of places for the Saiyan race to live, but she felt it was only the start. Perhaps in time the Hattori family would have a station of their own, similar to Alpha Prime, but of course with much stronger leadership.
About to head towards the ship herself, Ninjin’s words to Celeh give her pause. Looking to girl, who was still down on one knee Akassa couldn’t help but smile some. The poor soldier had again been caught up in one of their family arguments again, the “Royal Image” most likely a little tarnished in her eyes. The Hattori’s were the royal family, but they were far from perfect. Akassa only hoped that Celeh realized there was much more to them then these little fights, most of which she felt were rooted to her half-blooded nature. Watching the girl Akassa makes a mental note to speak with her later, in private.
Silently watching as Ninjin asks the soldier about her time on Omega she found herself wondering what Celeh thought about Ninjin himself. Did she notice the changes that had come over him since that first meeting in the throne room? Her brother was different; not a brand new man, but moving towards something she respected. Looking at the two she found it a little strange that beyond her father the two individuals she respected most were the brother she had recently been disgusted with and a soldier that had been assigned her bodyguard. Had this trip changed her as well?

The king and queen turned to get onto the ship, with the Prince and Princess preparing to follow. As Celeh was addressed not by Akassa, but by Ninjin, she looked wide eyed and surprised at this as she stood up. A quaint smirk formed on her lips as she gave a response to him, "After my mission failed I kept myself quiet and out of the way as to not draw any further ill attention to myself." She glanced over at Akassa as she said this and nodded, "I did have my job of guarding your sister to tend to in that time as well, Prince Ninjin. Overall, though, I would say my ventures on Omega have been...beneficial to me."
She began to walk over to Akassa, following the Princess as it were. She continued to speak with Ninjin, however, once the King and Queen were out of sight, "I was right to believe you had changed. I don't think I've ever heard of the King or Queen looking quite as baffled as they were just moments ago. I still don't understand everything about the Royal family, but I can tell from our initial encounter when I showed up in the throne room that first time that you have grown. This tournament was more of a personal growth experience for us than anything, I believe. That includes me. We gained more than just strength from our battles here. That much you were right about without a doubt." She glanced over her shoulder and nodded to Prince Ninjin with a full on smile. Maybe she could come to get along with him after all. Despite their first meeting and his brash attitude then, he seemed to have taken great strides in becoming a great ruler some day. She had underestimated him not in the field of combat, but in the social arena, as it were. He made a bold move, so bold, in fact, that the King and Queen had been stumped by it. Celeh didn't know the royals that well, but she'd never heard of anything like that happening before.
She then turned to Akassa, "What do you think, Princess? Wouldn't you agree?" She knew it could be a bit touchy to talk so freely like this, but they were all in a state of relief after that tense moment, so perhaps it would be good to unwind and loosen up.

Ninjin smiled at his sister's bodyguards response to his inquiry. She seemed more open to the conversation than she had been before his show of change. His eyes trailed his father's path, and he yearned to be on the ship with his family on the way back to New Vegeta. Perhaps his company felt the same way. Her words brought him back to the conversation. He had changed, in more ways then they could imagine, though the most obvious was his attitude. It was the first time he had seen Celeh smile. It was a good look for the warrior, and elicited a smile of Ninjin's own. He asked his sisters opinion, but regardless of her answer he what he would say next wouldn't change.
"Care to continue this conversation on the ship? We can be in a room away from mother and father's eyes and ears, though there aren't many places anywhere too far from their knowledge. Regardless Celeh I'd like you to feel open to speak to me as though we were friends, I'd like to make strides to make it so that is true." His words were spoken honestly, even as he made his way towards the ramp of the ship. He was anxious to get home, it had been far too long.

It was odd to see Celeh and Ninjin talking almost casually. When they had first met her brother had referred to the female as “the help.” It seemed the changes that had come over him in the past weeks had done him well. If he could talk to a low class soldier with such a relaxed demeanor it gave her hope that he truly had grown and it was not just some superficial change, wiped away by his first angry outburst. As for Celeh she was different, slightly more vocal than she had been at first. Whether it was confidence or an increased comfort level the girl did not reign in her words as much. If Ninjin had no problem with the way she addressed him than Akassa would make no comment.
”I would agree Celeh…it seems all of us have benefited from our time here, in one way or another.” Turning towards the ship the Princess does not wait for them as she is quick to take to Ninjin’s suggestion. Akassa might actually look forward to a conversation between the three of them, but doing it out on the loading dock was a waste of time. Having a decently long trip ahead of them they would be served much better by holding the chat aboard their ship, enroot to New Vegeta.
Walking up the ramp to the ship, her boots clanking with each step along the steel entry ramp Akassa doesn’t even glance back. Alpha Prime had been an interesting experience, but it was time to go home. As a Saiyan and member of the royal family she was always looking forward, ready for what was needed of her next. (I would say after Celeh posts we can all be considered on the way back home, allowing us post on New Vegeta after the 12 hour travel period while also allowing us to continue this thread as we see fit.)

The soldier was incredibly surprised with Ninjin offered her the privilege to speak to him freely at any time. Of course she already expected that doing so in the King and Queens' presences would be unpleasant. With that in mind, however, she nodded in agreement to the Prince's suggestion of talking more in a more private area. "Of course, Prince Ninjin." Her words were short and to the point. When the other two turned and headed into the ship, Celeh quickly followed behind them with a smile on her face.
Despite everything that had just happened, Celeh was in a much better mood based on the last few minutes than she had been her entire time on this place. The tournament had shown her a great deal about herself and those around her. For the first time in her life, she didn't feel alienated or like mindless weapon. She had begun to think for herself, but at the same time she'd also begun really feeling like she belonged. For someone who spent their whole life fighting for the reasons of others, she finally felt like she had her own reasons to fight...even if they weren't the ones she wanted at first.
And so Celeh got onto the ship with her comrades, preparing to head back to their home.
