When you kill a god there is a price that must be paid. For Nasu the seven days of fighting that had led up to Tejun, Yakuin, and Nasu finally closing in and killing Nikuyoku, Okui, Yoku, Namakemono, and Senbo, had cost him sleeping peacefully possibly ever again. It had cost him in seeing his friends fall and die beside him. It had cost him some of the bloodiest fighting he’d ever seen and scars that would never go away even with healing tanks. For the Red Flag it had cost them most of their officers, about half their men, and a healthy dose of their pride as they were killed by wave upon wave of zealous priests. And finally for the people of Jiyu it had cost them their homes, their families, and their lives. All of them were torn apart by the war the people of Jiyu had hired the Red Flag to rage. To free them from their pantheon of seven gods and the priests that had ruled them with an iron fist.
But after seven days of fighting through literal hell five of their gods lay dead at their feet and now that they knew their gods could bleed, the people thirsted for more. They were so close to freedom they could taste it, but two still stood between them. Ikari and Puraido.
Nasu hadn’t known each of the gods originally were named for one of the seven deadly sins until he had seen Okui in person. The man was so obese it was almost laughable, standing at seven feet tall and what had to be close to 600 pounds Nasu had thought there was no way he could move with speed. As Nasu’s men surrounded the large god the living embodiment of gluttony laughed at them.
Almost faster than Nasu’s eyes could follow Okui lunged forward grabbing the man immediately to Nasu’s left, biting him in half and swallowing all in one motion. The god reached up to wipe the blood off his mouth smiling threw the remains of the man he’d killed at Nasu knocking him back. Three more of his men died before he had the chance to stand up. Yakuin charged the godling from behind driving a spear through his stomach and the men rallied behind him driving dozens of spears through the man only to see them disappear into his his body. Absorbed into his stomach leaving no trace of damage.
If Tejun hadn’t come flying in at that point all of them would have wound up dead. It was only through overwhelming the gods in numbers that they had managed five victories so far, and the price had already been so steep. Now as they approached the final stronghold of the pantheon the last two demigods had holed themselves up together. Ikari, Wrath and Puraido, Pride. Nasu had no idea how they would contend with two near immortal demigods at the same time. So far the only way they’d found to kill these men had been decapitation and even then if you didn’t burn the body afterwards they would still be able to fight and put themselves back together as they had all learned at too high a cost.
Now as the sun started to rise Nasu stood on the front lines next to the only other two surviving officers Tejun and Yakuin and prepared to face whatever was to come.
****
-Two Weeks Earlier-
“Please I need your help.” the orange man said running up and grabbing Nasu by the front of the jacket.
“Um, what?” Nasu was very articulate when he was startled. Quickly extending his senses he could tell the man posed no real threat, but still he could have pulled a knife or something, Nasu shoved him off and took a big step back.
“What?” was all he could manage before the man breaks down in sobs.
“Please, I need your help, we need your help. Please.” the orange man said in between sobs
“Um, I’m gonna need more details.” he said finally putting together a coherent thought.
“My planet is at war, our Gods are cruel, heartless beings. Our planet has risen up against them after centuries of oppression. But we can’t do it on our own, please” he said pointing to the flag pinned to Nasu’s chest identifying him as a mercenary. “Help us.”
Nasu sighed. He had just eaten, all he wanted to do was go back to the barracks and take a nap, but Tejun would be pissed if he walked away from a potential job. Nevermind a travel job that was sure to rack up a huge bill. Then again the man looked like an oompa loompa and his power level was so low a strong breeze could take him out. This was bound to be an easy job, easy money, and a nice vacation. Take out some pricks who think they’re gods because they have long lifespans enjoy life on a local planet for a bit then go home richer.
“Fine, follow me. We’ll see what Tejun makes of all of this and he can decide one way or another.” without another word Nasu started walking back towards the Red Flag camp.
It took them longer than normal to reach the camp as the orange man ran out of breathe once on the way there and had to stop to catch his breathe. Nasu was in his heavy weights making all of his movements slower and more difficult and he still had no problems walking. Honestly he considered leaving the orange man behind but if he ever found his way to the Red Flag on his own and Tejun found out Nasu had abandoned a client just because he was impatient Tejun would beat him to within an inch of his life. By the time they reached the camp it was getting dark and the orange man looked like he was about to pass out. Damn if he was a true representative of his race how did they ever plan to overthrow “gods”. Hell how could they feild anything resembling a real army on their own? No wonder they were looking for outside help.
Luckily saiyans are among the most warlike races in the known universe and had more than enough warriors to spare for his fight. Not stopping anymore Nasu led the man straight to Tejun’s office. Knocking twice he walked in not waiting for a response. Tejun was behind what looked like a small mountain of paperwork but he still looked up and saw Nasu enter with the strange man tagging along behind him. For the first time in miles the man ran forward only to flop into the seat in front of Tejun’s desk.
Tejun looked at Nasu questioningly but he had no answers. The man had practically assaulted him on the streets to get the meeting now he’d have to sell Tejun on it himself.
“I need your help.” the man said not exactly gasping for air but breathing heavily. Nasu frowned, he had used that exact same opening on him as well. Tejun however seemed to handle it a lot better. Standing up walking around the desk and handing the man a bottle of water.
“Clearly, it looks like you’re about to pass out. However we’re not an inn so you’ll have to go somewhere else.” Tejun said frowning now as well.
“No no, I need to hire your warriors. As many as you can spare, all of them if you can manage it.” the man said tears again in his eyes.
That stopped Tejun who was in the act of walking to the door to show the man out. He paused and looked back. Finally sighing much the same as Nasu had he walked back to the front of his desk and leaned on it facing the bright orange man.
“Ok I’m gonna need some details, and then we’ll see what we can do. Nasu go grab Yakuin. We’ll wait till you’re both back before we start. It will give our guest a chance to...calm down a bit.”
Nasu didn’t need to be told twice, jumping on the chance to leave the strange man if only for a few minutes he raced out of the room extending his senses for Yakuin’s familiar power signature.
He finally sensed his power behind the door to his room, his power was lower so he must be sleeping. Smiling a the chance for some much deserved revenge Nasu used his telekinesis to unlock the door from Yakuin’s side sneaking in finding the lights off and the room almost black..
Looking to the right Nasu spots a small garbage basket, picking it up he filled it with water, sneaking back to Yakuin’s bed he dumped the whole thing on his head.
Yakuin jumped three feet in the air his silver aura flaring around him eyes looking around wildly as water dripped off him.
“Tejun wants to see both of us immediately.” Nasu said evil smile on his face as he used his telekinesis to flick the light switch at the other end of the room.
Yakuin sank back down to the bed his aura vanishing, as he shot Nasu a look that would frighten a lesser man.
“Toss me a towel then.” he said and as Nasu threw him something to dry off slightly.
“No time to change we have to go.” Nasu said laughter in his voice and still grinning from ear to ear.
Still drenched but no longer dripping, Yakuin walked over and punched Nasu in the shoulder mumbling curses under his breath the whole time. By the time they made it back to Tejun’s office he was still visibly wet but at least Nasu had stopped laughing.
Opening the door Tejun takes one look at Yakuin and pinches the top of his nose with his thumb and pointer finger.
“The hell happened? I gave you a simple task? You, you’re...you know what. Nevermind. Just shut up and lets find out about this job. First off though, we’re gonna need some more information.” he said turning back to the still sitting orange man. “Lets start with who you are and why you need to hire a merc unit and we can go from there.”
The orange man looked around at the men surrounding him for a moment before taking a deep breath and starting his story.
“My name is Goman. My people the Jiyu come from a planet about two weeks travel from here by ship called Opri, for generations it was a beautiful peaceful place to live. The ocean’s spread miles, grasslands that would wave in breeze would calm even the angriest soul. Villages where we lived in harmony with each other, we weren’t rich but we were safe and happy. Then the pantheon rose from our ranks. At first we were stunned that they could live so long. Our life spans are normally no longer than any other normal creature, we began to revere them as elders. After a few generations past, we began to worship them as deities. What else could they be? Time didn’t affect them, they lived for centuries no illnesses touched them.
At first it was said they passed on their wisdoms to the rest of us. But over time they changed. They surrounded themselves with fanatical followers and gave into every one of their basest desires. Nothing was off limits to them. We don’t know when they really turned on us, it was a gradual thing, but little by little they began issuing commands. Curfews for citizens who weren’t clergy members, young girls would go missing from the villages and show up weeks later…” he paused for the first time breaking eye contact with Tejun.
“At first there were pictures of all the atrocities, we thought if we showed them what they had done we could change them back, the people who went to speak with them were never heard from again. After a while more people decided to try talking to our gods, this time they didn’t disappear, they were made examples. Each one was displayed for the rest of us to see. That was the day their reign truly started. We tried to revolt on our own, there were only seven of them and thousands of us. But their priests they had been given power somehow, strength no one else could match on their own. But then even if we got past them the seven...our weapons had no effect on them. Swords and arrows didn’t even slow them down. We learned the price of revolution. From those days on we lived in fear of their whims. Anyone who ever spoke up was put down, they didn’t bother torturing the person who spoke up instead they killed them and their families were the new examples. We now live in fear, the few of us who are allowed to leave the planet only do so with their permission and only to bring back new delicacies or perversions for the seven to indulge in.
It was on one of these trips I first learned of the saiyan’s and that they were a warrior race. I learned of mercenaries who fought for other people who couldn’t fight for themselves. I went back home with hope for my people for the first time in centuries. Rumor of your race’s power has spread through my people, they are ready to rise up against our oppressors but we need leaders, we need fighters, we need you. When I landed on this planet I learned of the Red Flag’s powers, among mercenary groups you’re widely considered the best. Please save my people.”
He finished out of breath and with tears not in his eyes but running down his face. It was clear he was desperate and just as clear from what he said he didn’t have the money to pay for the services he was going to require. Nasu turned to face Tejun, ultimately the decision would rest with him, but Nasu wanted to go. It showed in his face that the story had affected him, he looked up to see Yakuin’s expression mirror his own. Tejun’s face however was a mask, completely blank though his eyes seemed far away. After what seemed like an eternity he responded.
“Goman...Your story is moving. I can understand the feeling of being helpless, I understand what it’s like to think you have no way out of your situation better than you think. And then to be given a ray of hope, you go for that light no matter how small, no matter what the risks. But mercenaries fight for money. In your story when describing your planet you said none of you were rich. The kind of forces you’re asking me to commit, the distances travelled alone would cost enormous amounts of money.” The look on his face flashed immense sadness for a second and then it was gone hidden behind the mask again.
Nasu took in Tejun’s words, he had figured as much, Tejun could be persuaded to do some things himself, but he wouldn’t risk others lives for nothing. On top of that, others in the Red Flag weren’t as altruistic as Nasu. Not everyone would fight for others because it seemed like the right thing to do. They fought for money, they were mercenaries, that was what they signed up for. Nasu was about to give up but the look on Goman’s face stopped him from losing hope.
“Oh we have money, but you’ll have to earn it.” he said smiling for the first time since he started telling his story. “The temples the seven live in are all covered in gold. Each temple you conquer should more than pay for the costs.”
Nasu didn’t exactly see little dollar signs appear in Tejun’s eyes, but he did notice Tejun suddenly got a lot happier and a lot friendlier.
“Ok sir, why don’t you walk me through exactly what you had in mind.” he said his tone suddenly less apologetic and more service like.
“We have people ready to rise up but they have thousands of priests, on top of the fact that despite everything we’ve done they seem genuinely immortal. We need people who can fight, who can lead us. We need the Red Flag. In exchange the temples are yours. Tear them down, melt the gold, take whatever you want. Just rid us of these gods that have damned us all for centuries.”
The smile on Tejun’s face was absolutely vicious. “I think we can do that for you sir.”

Despite the fact that the mercenary camp was always ready for combat it took a surprisingly long time for the Red Flag camp to prepare to travel, since they were informed they would be fighting against thousands of minor priests as well as the seven gods they got their entire camp ready to move. It wasn’t a matter of there was too much stuff as there were just too many people to move. They needed to move an entire army to a planet two weeks away. Nasu had recently been promoted up to a full officer which meant he was in charge of helping get everyone ready to leave. It also meant he got his own spaceship. Nasu stared at it, he couldn’t help himself, a few years ago he was homeless on the streets and now he owned his own spaceship. How cool was that! It could fit more than one person but on this trip the extra room was going to be used to bring supplies. Plus they could all go get their own spaceship!
After about a week of prep the Red Flag camp was finally ready to depart. Goman had left earlier that same day he hired them stating he had to get back or he would be putting his own family at risk, but that wasn’t a huge loss. He would have been worse than useless trying to help load supplied or get anything ready. Finally after what felt like forever Nasu climbed into his ship said his goodbyes to New Vegeta and took off.
***
The fighting had been ridiculous. For such a weak people in general the priests were surprisingly powerful, and their numbers...no matter how many they killed they just kept coming and coming. Wave after wave. Nasu finally understood how the ocean could wear away a boulder into sand. You hit something enough times and eventually it will break down and the priests were breaking down the men of the Red Flag. One priest individually posed no threat to anyone in the Red Flag even the weakest members but there was never just one. They always came in numbers. You would have one cornered and think this was it you could capture one and get some information but it always wound up being a trap, hundreds more priests would appear almost out of thin air and before you knew it you were fighting for your life.
All these thoughts went through Nasu’s head as he rested in a stone alley way with his men. He was in charge of 10 other men, 4 of them had died already and 3 were wounded and back at the landing site getting healed up. Luckily Tejun had insisted on bringing healing tanks with them. After the original story Goman had told Nasu didn’t think they would be necessary at all but Tejun said they were to be brought and he was in charge. Now Nasu didn’t even know how many lives they had saved and there was never a time where they weren’t completely full except when one man left and before another could be put in.
Nasu was stuck in his heavy weights now as all his other clothes had been burned by the fanatics in a sneak attack on the camp shortly after they had landed. The weights restricted his power and his movements but they were better than going into battle naked. Still he’d been in this same set of armor for a week now and it was far from clean.
Nasu looked at the 3 remaining men he was in charge of who were healthy enough to fight. Each had proved their worth ten times over in the last week. They were all resting in the alley with him now and had spent the last day or so in hiding trying to find a way to attack without being spotted. They only had 2 hours left until all of the units were supposed to converge on Okui’s palace in the center of the town. They had it timed down perfectly, it was the only way the attack would work if they all attacked from various sides at the same time.
However so far Nasu’s unit hadn’t been able to get within a mile of the palace before they were overwhelmed by priests and fanatics. Still in two hours they would try to attack and join their brothers new plan or not.
The two hours passed in relative silence, Nasu was quietly coming up with a plan but he didn’t want to bring it up just in case it didn’t work. As the men next to him rose to their feet Nasu walked over to them.
“We’re going to charge and meet up with Yakuin and Sammi’s unit’s we can’t risk using the radio’s anymore they’ve tacked our signals and that’s why James unit was over run. So unless we somehow hear otherwise we’re going on the assumption Yakuin and Sammi will be there. I’m going to take the lead and break their front line. I don’t care what is in front of us, I will get through it.” He said this making eye contact with each one of them to assure them he would get them through it. He didn’t see hope looking back at him in the men, they all had the look of men who were going to die, however he saw determination. They had all been through too much, seen too many of their brothers killed they wouldn’t back down. If they were going to die they would die facing forward not running away.
Still Nasu thought it was on him to give them hope that they could in fact make it out of this alive. “I have a plan, Jason, Mark, Allen. I will get us there, I will. And we will all make it back to New Vegeta I promise.” He saw their faces show a moment of hope each before they sank back to reality. The numbers were just too stacked against them they thought.
Still when the time came they all lined up behind him and prepared to charge. The closer they got to the palace in the center of the town more and more buildings were on fire. These were the homes of the people of Jiryu, the priests had come out and burned them down with the residents inside still. Boarding up the outer doors so they couldn’t escape. At first Nasu had thought it was just to send a message against revolting, but after a failed attack where they were only seen by the firelight casting their moving shadows far into the distance he realized it was actually so they couldn't sneak up on the priests at night as well. Still for burning as many homes and residents as they had there were surprisingly few bodies and nobody could explain that and the residents who were still alive got real quiet anytime someone asked. Nasu didn’t want to understand at this point he just wanted to push forward.
About a mile away from the palace they ran into a squad of about a hundred priests in a narrow alley way. It was make or break time. There was not a lot of room for the priests to surround them but they had the numbers to do it. Nasu gathered his ki to his right hand. The priests spotted them and alarm quickly went up. Nasu put the ki into a ball and tried to flatten it out as much as possible forming a disk. More and more priests flooded into the alley. Finally Nasu reached out with his telekinesis to make sure that none of the priests could dodge to either side creating walls none of the priests could see in time to react as he hurled his destructo disk forward.
“DESTRUCTO DISK!” he shouted launching it as fast as he could. It wasn’t a fast attack he knew it wouldn’t be but the makeshift wall had done it’s job and held the priests in place for long enough. The disk mowed through their ranks killing, maiming and dismembering them one after another as they were all forced into a single file rank.
Some managed to survive but lost limbs in the process but still that one attack had probably claimed two hundred lives in a second. It made Nasu sick to think about but he couldn’t afford to dwell on it as he drew his sword. The priests who had survived were gathering up. They were all zealous, fanatical madmen who would jump on a fire if their gods asked them too. A loss of a limb wouldn’t stop them. There were only about 10 or so left and they were all injured in some way or another, Nasu company made short work of the remaining priests and moved on. He saw new hope in their eyes as they marched forward. They didn’t know that was all he had up his sleeve, how perfectly the situation had worked out for Nasu, how slim a chance there was that the stars would align that perfectly again. Instead they thought Nasu true to his word had a plan to get them through anything. They trusted him now and for the first time in a week they believed victory was possible.
Off in the distance he could sense Yakuin and a few of his men beside him but he couldn’t sense Sammi’s or her unit anywhere? As they met up he found that Yakuin had managed to keep about half his unit still face up and fighting. He had been given twenty men since he was more experienced and eleven of them still looked ready to fight. Nasu flew forward ahead of his unit and met up with Yakuin.
“Where the hell is Sammi?” he asked dreading the answer.
“We saw her get over run. We lost three of our own men desperately trying to get to her unit before they were overwhelmed but we couldn’t get there in time. When she finally realized what was happening she blew herself up rather than just go down. She took about a hundred priests with her to hell at the end there.” he said it all in one breath not wanted to dwell on it. Nasu nodded moving on as well.
“We need a plan, there are sixteen of us here but there are probably another three or four hundred priests before we reach the castle and then who knows how many inside. Do you know if Tejun’s unit is still in tact?” Nasu asked.
“I haven’t heard anything from them in days. But Tejun is too strong to let himself get overwhelmed easily and everyone knows not to use the radios anymore so they have no real way of contacting us. We’ll drive forward like they’re still there until we find out otherwise. If he is there he’ll meet us in the palace.” he said it and looked confident, Nasu knew Tejun was a monster in terms of raw power but even he could be overwhelmed by enough numbers couldn’t he?
Half a mile further up they ran into about 50 more priests. Nasu and Yakuin took them down with some help from their men and managed to do it without losing anyone else or sustaining any serious injuries. The rest of the road seemed oddly quiet. They had expected hundreds of additional troops not just the small regiment they had encountered. Finally determined not to walk into a trap Nasu took to the sky trying to spot where the rest of the troops were. They learned this was a good way to get outnumbered early on. If anyone saw you floating in the air you’d quickly be surrounded by dozens of orange priests but he had to chance it. Instead what he saw however amazed him. Tejun’s unit was approaching the palace from the opposite side drawing all the resistance.
Tejun was out front almost all 50 men he had with him when he started were alive and fighting and it was obvious why. Tejun was a monster. His hands were alive with power as he flung blast after blast into the crowd in front of him mowing down dozens of priests at a time. Nasu flew over and quickly used his own Renzoku Energy Dan to fire hundreds of ki blasts down taking out the remaining troops that stood in the way. The energy that left him was enormous but Nasu refused to let it show.
Tejun gave him a quick nod as Nasu flew back to Yakuin and the men. “Tejun is approaching the palace now. Both our paths are clear lets move out!” with that he led the men to the back gate of the palace where Yakuin sensing Nasu’s energy was still recovering blew it inward with a blast.
At the other end of the compound Nasu heard a similar explosion only this time he saw the other gate go flying through the air destroying the top of the palace from the force of the blast Tejun sent. Yakuin smiled at Nasu and shrugged his shoulders slightly. “Show off.” and with that they all raced to meet up.
Once together Tejun’s men handed out short spears to everyone and explained the rest of their plan.
“We think from the energy readings that there shouldn’t be too many priests inside. Okui sent everything he had to stop us out here and he failed. Now we’re gonna go in, surround him, pin him down with the spears then cut off his head. Yakuin, Nasu, and I all have swords. One of us will get close enough to kill it. If one of us falls, run up and grab the swords. You know the only way these fuckers die is when their heads are cut off once that’s done we burn the body and move on. You’ve all fought well and earned the right to still be standing here right now. So lets go finish this.” A cheer went up from the men as they all mentally prepared themselves for what was next.
They burst into the castle to find it deserted, the smell that assaulted them however was almost worse than the fighting that had led them there. It smelt of sulfur and smoke and the initial wave was enough to make Nasu gag. He had to go back outside take a deep breath and prepare himself to enter the castle again. As he was outside he noticed several other men with very similar reactions.
Finally back inside and running along the castle hallways Nasu saw dismembered limbs lying everywhere. They seemed to have strange markings on them that Nasu couldn’t and didn’t want to identify.
Finally following the largest source of energy they reached the center of the palace and Tejun kicked down the door. What awaited them was horrifying. A giant of a man standing seven feet tall bright orange skin was holding what looked like baseballs in his hands. He was facing the far wall where a man who looked just like Goman was sitting on top of a platform. Below the platform was an enormous deep frier. Where Nasu could see several other unidentifiable bodies already inside.
“My lord, please no. I didn’t bring these people here!” Goman shouted as Okui threw the first baseball at a switch on the wall missing it by a fraction of an inch. Goman’s power level felt very different for some reason but he couldn’t figure out what it was. It must be the blind panic Goman was feeling that made him feel so different.
The god finally looked over at the company that had entered the room and let out a deep booming laugh. “If you gentlemen will excuse me a moment I have an internal matter that must be dealt with first. Then I will get to you.” he said throwing another ball at the switch on the wall this one missing by even less nicking the side but not enough to compress the button.
“Damn it all he said stepping forward a bit. Ah this will be much better.” and before anyone could stop him he launched the last ball. Nasu reached for his telekinesis and grabbed the ball in mid air inches away from the switch that it definitely would have hit that time. Goman took a deep breath from the platform where he appeared to be tied down unable to move.
“Oh no that won’t do at all.” Okui said and almost quicker than Nasu could follow he rushed forward driving his fist into the switch and dropping Goman into the pool of boiling oil. Nasu was never sure what was worse, the scream or the smell but he knew both would haunt his dreams for years to come if he survived. He saw Goman through the clear window writhing in agony as he burned. He slammed his fists against the clear window but he was never a strong man. Too slowly he stopped spasming and eventually stopped moving altogether sinking to the bottom of the tank.
“That smell.” Okui said smiling and taking a deep breathe in through his nose. Suddenly Nasu knew what had been happening to all the missing bodies from the fires and what those marks were on the limbs around the palace and he wanted to vomit.
The members of the Red Flag began to circle Okui finally the ring closed around him with Yakuin and Nasu at opposite ends holding their spears out in front of them. Okui just laughed.
“You think your spears will help any of you?” he boomed his voice shaking the walls around them. Then moving at speeds that made him almost impossible to follow Okui lunged forward grabbing the man immediately to Nasu’s left, biting him in half and swallowing all in one motion.
He drove his spear through the demigods eye both blinding him and knocking him down. Before he could follow up with his sword cutting off the god’s head Okui threw a punch to Tejun’s stomach sending him flying through the ceiling of the room. Yakuin snuck up behind him slicing his sword through half of his neck but before he could finish cutting off the beasts head Okui caught the blade in his hand.
Ripping it out of his neck he turned to fully face Yakuin his head now hanging at a weird angle. Nasu knew this was the only chance he’d get. Reaching into his inner-strength he formed the energy disk again. This time he didn’t shout out the name knowing he’d need the surprise. While Okui’s attention was focused on Yakuin Nasu threw the disk.
Okui however must have sensed something was up as he turned to face Nasu and the destructo disk. Laughing he held up a hand to catch the disk which sliced right through his hand. Nasu looked on with satisfaction at the look of shock on Okui’s face as the destructo disk cut through the other half of his neck severing his head and sending his body falling to the ground limp.
Nasu walked forward surrounded by Yakuin and Tejun floated down from the hole in the ceiling. Tejun pulled out a capsule and opened it up pouring gasoline all over the body and burning it before he could put himself back together. Once that was done they walked outside and Tejun in a fit of rage blew the rest of the palace up as well. They were supposed to get the gold out of the palace before that happened but Tejun seemed beyond caring for the moment. After a few deep breathes he seemed to realize what he did.
“Nasu get a few able men together and have them pull as much gold as they can from the debri. Don’t be out here longer than nightfall however. Meet back at the camp when you’re done.”
With that he took off back towards the camp leaving the rest behind. Yakuin looked over at Nasu and just shrugged. Tejun had been acting weird ever since they got to this planet but seeing their primary employer fried to death probably hadn’t helped.
“I’ll help you clean all this up.” he said as the two got down to work.

-Present-
When you kill a god there is a price that must be paid. Nasu and the Red Flag had killed five gods so far. And only two remained. Wrath and Pride had allied themselves to face the combined might of the Red Flag and the people of Jiyu. Now as the sun started to rise Nasu stood on the front lines next to the only other two surviving officers Tejun and Yakuin and prepared to face whatever was to come.

This is part 1 of 6. Gonna eventually go through all the Gods *seven deadly sins* but that thread would be like 50k words so I figured I'd break it up.

Technique Learned :
Destructo Disc
This attack is created by forming a disc of energy with one hand. It can be a very strong attack because it can cut through almost anything, but at lower levels is quite slow.
***
