Anri grinned at the girls reaction to his gills in truth he was sure he could talk for hours on end about his own anatomy though he didn't know that she would understand it all, there was a gap in their two intellects and he had no idea just how much schooling she went through if any at all, he would have asked...but with her memory being as shattered like a dropped mirror there was little chance she would remember anything that could be of use. But at this point he was far more interested in the young pink haired demon, she was unlike anything he had come across which was saying a lot given his galactic travels. He wondered if her current form was just a mask comparatively towards that of Jenn's ability to change the form of her frame at will to anything that she could think of. She certainly didn't seem like the kind of person to hold things back, her carefree, laid back demeanor showed that off quite well but at the same time he had never met Makio before so there was no real way to compare the situation that he was in now. As for right now though he would trust what she had to say and take it as the full truth, she hadn't done anything to earn distrust from him, and truth be told it was refreshing too find someone that was so energetic... for some reason it felt as though he had met her before... or at least someone like her... but the memory seemed just out of his reach of his mind. Just as soon as he would reach out for it did it disappear leaving him lost in a thick fog once more, trying to find a light to guide his way. Maybe this experience with the girl would trigger some memories in him as well... though he wasn't about to let the girl know what he was thinking as of yet, there was a chance it would scare her off, and he needed her if anything was going to come back to him.
Snapping out from the semi-trance that he was in Anri watched as the girl looked off into the distance at where she had mentioned she had come from, even from the city you could make out the green blur that was that of the plains, though he was sure that he had a better view than she did with her unaided eyes. It really wasn't too far, even with one of the human vehicles he was sure it would only take but an hour or so if that but luckily he had come across the special talent of flight one fair day on a far off planet. After doing a "kind" deed more or less, a stranger had taught him the technique after the alien displayed it for him, and of course afterwards he had to have the skill, though Anri had flown in planes before nothing compared too the feeling of flying under ones own abilities. Turning his attention back to Carmen it looked as though she was in a deep thought of whether or not to take the alien up on his offer and Anri could understand why that was, after all they hadn't know here for more than an hour and it wasn't the norm to go out on adventures with people you just met...right? While Anri was not new to the vale anymore he found that cultures on planet varied greatly and while one thing might seem strange on one world it wasn't so much on another.
Piping up from the silence Anri grinned as she added a condition too them going out to the field, this little thing was going to bargain with him? He was growing to like her more and more with every second. Not many were able to talk too him in such a manner and he was finding that people here on Earth had that way about them, not usually adhering to the customs of the rest of the vale but he was interested in what it was that she wanted from him.
"Carry you?" Anri gave out a deep laugh at her words, at first thinking it was a joke but by the look on her face it made him laugh all the more that she was serious. A person at such a power that she was at could surely make it there in a single bound, or could she not? There was a clear line of muscle under her smooth skin he was sure she had the capabilities to do it... but at the same time some people just wanted to be carried though it was usually the young that liked this the most, and with the way she acted he could see why this would be. Though the need be carried made him wonder if she had anyone in her life that watched over her, the action alone suggested she wanted attention, if not to just to touch someone. With her lack of memories and the way she had come into this world it wouldn't come as a shock to him to learn that she was alone.
"Alright... well if that is your demand them I accept this. If we have enough time I'm sure I could show you how to do it, really its not that difficult. It always helped for me to imagine I was a bird or something." Anri mentioned as he broke his eye contact with Carmen, swinging his feet out from underneath his body he was quickly on his own two feet once more.
"So how are we going to do this? You can ride on my back... but you'll have to put you hands around to neck for support... and I don't think you would want to do that. If I remember correctly you think their 'gross'." He flashed her a grin as he pointed as his gills, slowly the moved back and forth as he breathed through them.
With using a single hand Anri scooped the girl into his large hands and held her they way someone might hold a new born child, with the warmth of his plates resting against her back.
"That should work pretty well unless you have a better idea?" Anri asked Carmen.
If the young girl had no objections too his plan then Anri would turn too face the direction that the field was in and taking a running start he would leap from the roof top making the fragile roof top collapse from his launch as they sped off and away from the city with his flight abilities kicking in once more to keep them aloft. Anri always loved the feeling of flying, it made him feel alive with nothing that bounded him too the world below him, if it wasn't for the vastness of space he would just continue off the planet and head off towards another world but it would take years too make a single journey. With the wind there to greet them as they flew Anri closed his eyes to enjoy the short trip that it would be though he wasn't going as his full speed, he was sure Carmen would enjoy the flight as well not knowing if she had taken flight before this point.

Carmen hadn’t even thought about the similarities or difference between the two of them, the Makaio always focused on the here and now. She wasn’t and idiot or lacking in intelligence, she just lacked focused. Always focusing on one thing or another, letting her mind wander as it did she never really got much done. Perhaps if she spent more time with Alexander, her new business partner if you would, he might help her learn to focus a little more. Anri was probably capable of playing the same role as the other male, but only if he saw continued interest in her. No matter what path her life took her down the pink haired girl was most likely going to find pleasure in it, she always did. Life was rather easy when you had not a care in the world beyond what sort of entertainment you might find on a given day.
When he agrees to carry her to the grass field outside the city she smiles anew, eyes sparkling some as he agrees to take her into the air with him. Now they needed to decide the best way to do this. The mention of having to put her arms around his neck instantly made her nose crinkle, she didn’t want to be doing that. Chewing on her lower lip a little the Makaio tries to figure out the best way for them to travel, her eyes drifting to the floor some as her posture suffers from her thoughts deepening. The girl is drawn from her thoughts as he steps over and scoops her right up in his arm. Letting out a small cry of surprise, on verbal warning given, the light female finds herself easily held aloft by the stronger of the two.
”Ummmm…this will work just fine… I guess.”Even with the small bit of uncertainty in her voice there was a smile on her lips once again. ”Now how do we….ahhh!” The small girl letting out a cry of surprise as he just breaks into a run before leaping from the rooftop. Hearing the concrete crack and fall in upon itself as they take off she couldn’t help but giggle. While she wasn’t an overly violent creature she did enjoy a little chaos now and then, the crumbling of the roof entertaining her more than one might expect. Her first experience in Central City had been a similar act, a drunken man throwing a car through the front of a bar. Of course that had lead to a fight with several other individuals, but that was neither here nor there at this point.
As the odd duo launched into the air, pulling up and away from the tall building Carmen clings to him a little out of instinct considering how high up they were. The fall, even from this height, probably wouldn’t hurt her that much, but she didn’t realize that. Her body growing ever stronger she did not know what it was truly capable of, the girl not having tested it much since her creation. Traveling through the sky away from the city she looks ahead, loving the feel of the wind whistling past her face. Her pink hair whipped around her face as they traveled, occasionally catching her in the eye, but she didn’t care.
”Is it easy to fly Anri? I have never tried it myself…but it’s fun!” Not necessarily wanting to learn the technique, she wanted to at least know how difficult it was to master incase she ever attempted it herself. Part of the reason she didn’t know how was because of her unique fighting style. Carmen had the ability to channel Ki like most creatures, but for the most part she channeled it into her custom weapons, a growing collection of guns that could channel the demon’s energy. The two pistols at her hips were the first and most common of her weapons, her weapons of choice if you would.

Grinning at Carmen's unsure respond he thought it was funny with even how nervous her voice sounded she still held a smile on her face, a good quality for a person to have, nervous but still willing to par take in what was going on. Though he started to laugh at her whelp of surprise as he took of from the building as part of the roof collapsed in on itself, an accident but not one he was going to take responsibility for, he had already had plans for his cash and it wasn't for fixing roofs, that's what insurance was for. It didn't seem as though Carmen minded the small destruction of someones life as she looked back over at the sudden sound, it just made things easier with the aline knowing her lapse of care for others destructive habits. Though he wasn't sure it was best to display just what he was really capable of in front of her, while his true strength was being repressed right now he wasn't sure she would take too fondly of what he could really dish out once he sought a fight, or was threatened, though he didn't see any of that happening today. This was a lazy laid back day where fun was too be had, whether it was a cool drink and bad TV or investigating this young girls past.
Tearing through the skies with the young girl in her hands the distance they covered in the single leap was impressive but the rest of the way that they were going to travel was under Anri's own strength as his Ki kicked in to keep them afloat in the air. Many years had past since he had first learned the skill and had almost forgotten how difficult it had been when he was training for it, it took him a few days before he had finally gotten the hang of it but it wasn't until weeks later with much practice was he fully able to control his own flight patterns as if he had been born floating, like a jet leaving white streaks across the sky he was now, without worry of every having to touch back onto the ground ever again if he so chose too. While it did consume Ki the rate at which it replenished he could float with little air movement for hours if not days at a time, letting the world take him as it pleased, if it had not been for his work getting in the way then he would have stayed that way forever, but people had money and needed others to suffer.
Anri had notice just how much she was pressed into him but it only made him smile, it looked as though this was her first time this high up before but as the fear began to melt away he could feel her moving a little closer from his grip as she looked over the vast horizon, the great plains that spanned for miles on end, and the blue grey mountains as they prodded their way from the planets crust. Off in the distance large groups of birds came out from the city behind them and joined up with the two as they flew amongst them, like a member of their own flock the small feathery creatures didn't seem to have much fear if any from the two strangers. With the wind whipping around their faces Anri almost hadn't heard the girls question with his attention focus solely on the act at hand. Slowling down a tad bit the wind lessened as he spoke up in case she would have had difficulty hearing.
"Is it easy to fly? Hmmm... that is a good question and I would have to say at first it is, but hard work pays off. When I first started off I could barley make it off the ground more than a few inches before my heavy ass would come crashing back down. With time my skill grew and I could stay up for longer periods of time... looking back I find it funny that I had such difficulty doing it, now I can do things like this." Taking a tighter grip on Carmen Anri would spin while continuing his forward moving doing a aerial crock screw leaving a trail of white behind the two of them. Not needing more too show the girl he did only one less she would ask for it again, laughing he released the extra grip he had on her and resumed his normal grip.
"It is very fun, and it should be something that everyone should learn, not to mention it can come in handy in certain situations. Running or even fighting it can be useful, however if you just want to have some fun with it that works just as well." As he noted the red aura that belong to Anri would kick in as their speed would more than double as they torn into the sky leaving the flock of birds in their dust. Climbing higher and higher the two of them would eventually come face to face with the clouds and Anri swiftly directed himself between the clouds until a large one loomed over them.
"Everything will be fine, just hold on tight. You ready?" He asked though regardless of her answer he would dive into the gray cloud.
Lunging forward the two would burst into the cloud as the water droplets would collide with their skin making it feel as though they were going through some mid morning mist, cool to the touch and just a tad moist. Anri loved this feeling of riding through clouds, his home world was much more moist than that of Earth's, raining almost everyday for months at a time, while Earth was much dryer than Riva. Though being in a cloud was very similar it was a bit of an over kill but he still enjoyed it with a grin held on his face. Slowly with the light breaking through from the top of the cloud they would emerge as Anri ascended a few more feet and stopped as they held their position above the cloud tops. Spining slowlying in a circle it would give Carmen a good view of their surrounding as the white puffy clouds meshed and moved with the jet streams below.
"Though I feel like its views like this that really make it worth it."

Soaring through the air with her escort Carmen couldn’t have been happier. The cool aired whipped past her ears, whistling occasionally as it did. It was the first time that she had actually flown and it was something she was definitely going to have to do again. Of course at this point that meant she was going to have to get someone to carry her around since she had not learned how to do it on her own. That was fine with her though, if someone was willing to carry her where she wanted to go then she was definitely going to let them. Why do the work yourself when someone else was willing to do it for you? Alexander and Nex could both fly so either of them would probably be fine with carrying her in the future, she did work with them after all. Grinning still she hears a strange noise to her left. Turning her head some, as awkward as it was considering how he was holding her, her eyes widen at the large birds flying near them. The Makaio had almost forgotten that there were creatures on Earth that could naturally fly. Was it bad that her fist instinct was to pull out her pistol and shoot one?
Not sure how Anri might react, and not wanting to ruin the fun she decides against it though. Luckily his words distract her before she can second guess her decision not to shoot one of the animals. Looking back to him she strains a little to hear, but his strong voice manages to pierce the wind whipping around her ears. According to the one that knew how to fly it wasn’t the easiest of things to learn, but once you did easy to continue doing. It sounded like to much work for the pink haired girl, but maybe one day she would look into it.
”Well I could….ahhhhh!” The small girl screaming out as he suddenly spins with her, his tightened grip thankfully enough to keep her from plummeting to the ground far below. He should have warned her he was going to do that! Although the only protest she puts up is a small slap on his arm as she giggles a little, apparently amused now that the initial shock was over.
”Well perhaps sometime I will take the time to learn it. Ready for what?” She states and asks after his aura flares to life, the new power level more than enough to leave the startled birds behind them. Again she was not warned as he dives into the dark cloud before them, the moister within cool and refreshing even if it did dampen her pink hair. Opening her mouth Carmen wonders what it might taste like, never having had the chance to taste a cloud…had anyone? Sadly all she felt was water though, the fluffy looking mass nothing more than an accumulation of vapors. Shrugging some with disappointment she blinks a little as they rise up out of the cloud, the sun bright once more.
This high up she couldn’t see the ground, but being above the clouds themselves was enough to tell her they had risen quite high into the air. As she puts that together her hands grab at him a little tighter, having no idea how her body might handle a fall from this sort of height. Hearing him speak again she looks around, having to admit it was a sight like nothing she had ever seen before.
”It is strange to be so high…did you home have clouds like this in its skies?” A little curious as to how similar his home world might have been in that aspect she relaxes a little as they float, glad to take a break from zipping through the air.

Massive in size the cloud banks that loomed below the two of them drifted quickly beneath with the rising and sinking from the heat that generated and moved the clouds along the seemingly endless expanse of grey and white. It was an all too familiar sight for the alien; often back on his home he would take a jet from the hangar bay and go out for a joy ride up high into the atmopshere just above the eleavation at which the clouds would stop forming, leaving the sky open and vast above him with only the bright blue star to keep him company, though it wasn't nearly the same feeling as being exposed too the cool breezes that owned this portion of the world's skies. It was impossible for him to enjoy the feeling when trapped inside a cold metal tube rushing at speeds that broke the sound barrier, it wasn't until he mastered- took control of his abilities too fly that he was finally able to climb to such a height on his own too fully taken in the experience first hand and it was a feeling like none other out there. The freedom to hover above the world too look down and see nothing below his own feet, to be in control of everything that happened; the small breezes that whipped at his body and the almost silent air that enveloped them and shifted them through the skies every so slowly. At this point Anri was only using his Ki to keep them afloat not wanting to move other than where the winds too them.
Feeling the young girl pressing harder on his plates Anri gave off a small smile as he cast his eyes down one to Carmen, a girl he had barley known for more than a few hours; here together they drifted above the pluming looking clouds. There was an aura of fear but it was most likely due to the fact that she had never experienced being at such a height before, he could tell from her body language there was a lapse in her own judgement of her skills. Perfectly normal behavior though... at least for people that weren't covered in armor. Anri had taken falls from higher than this even before his flight abilities ever existed and while he took some damage upon impact any Vennor could walk away from the fall as though they had just tripped down a step. However not every sentient creature was as blessed as Anri's people were, by nature the humans where frail and weak, making one wrong footing error and they snapped like a twig. Anri hated to compare Carmen to the weakness of humans but all he had to go by was her outward appearance which shared almost every detail with them, at least in her current state, it was only when she changed her outward appearance when anything different would show on her slender frame.
"Yes... well actually bigger sometimes they would stretch further than the eye could see and fall off the planets edge, over the horizon, visiting distant lands with just its reach alone. The air there was much thicker than it is here, on Earth. Sometimes they would bring with them roaring storms that would rage for days at a time, looking to be no end in sight. The heavy rains brought great floods that tore across the country side and jungles, if anything was caught in their way it didn't usually turn out well. All the cities though were built high and away from the ground so no one really had to worry about it much, but days even months at a time not a drop of light from the stars could be seen. Just rain, rain... every which way you looked, the dark clouds streamed across the sky dropping whatever they contained and them moved on. But we as a people enjoyed that weather, it was what we were used too, days upon days of cool wetness. I can't imagine many, if any of these humans would enjoy such a showering, given their low tolerance too extreme conditions but for us, it was prefect. I for one find this blue orb too be much drier than that of what I am accustomed too but I find there is no room to complain. It would sever no good in the long run." He chuckled as he gazed over the abundance of the rolling clouds, each ball of fluff seemed to have its own body but at the same time was connected to the mass as a whole.
"Your much stronger than you think you are. Such a fall from this height would not kill you, in fact you could most likely walk away from it." He paused as he placed his hand gently on her head and brushed a few stray lengths of hair that fluttered wildly in the breeze.
"Your grasp as been tighter than normal on me ever since we broke through the clouds, and mind you I will not let you fall from my hands. It's natural to be cautious and even timid when trying new things but you shouldn't doubt your own skills. Even before I was as old as I am now, I could fall from such a height and still run home in time for supper. Don't doubt your own abilities, there is much power inside of you." He said his words trying to encourage the girl, not all too sure why he was though. It wasn't like Anri too become to friendly with random stranger but he had found that the Earth had such an effect on him... but it wasn't just that. The faint memories still clung to the back of his mind every time he looked at the girl or hear her speak... there was something there in needed to know, needed to remember but it still eluded his mental grasp. A shivler of hope rested with the girl but doubt was stacked against him, its hollow embrace wrapped around his heart like a snake coiling around its prey. He had spent years following every trace he could, never did it lead to anywhere but to disappointment and hate filled rage; at himself, or the universe around him, fate just never seemed to be on his side. Not only had he lost his people, he had lost his home, his world, even parts of his mind, Anri was not a complete person as others would see him. He was shattered, broken on the inside, though he never let anyone get too close too see all of that, it was too much even for himself to handle.
"By all means though, I do not encourage you to take such a leap. That is something in which you should decided on in time. Being forced to do something never makes that fear and anxiety leave, all force ever does is lead it too build up inside of your mind." Anri noted to make sure she understood what he was trying to say.

Listening to him describe more of his far off home Carmen couldn’t help, but enjoy the view. Sure it was high up, higher than she had ever been in her life, or at least higher than she ever remembered being. Anri’s home sounded like a beautiful place, almost a more majestic version of Earth. It seemed to house all of the same features as her current home world, but in much more breathe taking ways. Perhaps one day, she might visit it…regardless if Anri was the one to bring her there or not. She did not own a ship capable of such travel, but she was aware they could be acquired. Not having much Zeni to her name she would really have to save up in order to purchase one, something she planned on doing at some point in the future. Then again...maybe like she bummed a ride now, she could tag along with someone in the future. Grinning a little at that thought she hears him mention cities above the clouds.
They had cities in the sky! Now she definitely needed to go, there was no way that she could live her life without seeing such a settlement. If it had not been decided before it was right then and there, Carmen was going to travel to Riva…once she found out where it was anyway. For a moment she debates asking him, but considering how he talked about it he himself was unsure as to where it was. Plus, why would he still be here on Earth if he had such a marvelous home to go to?
When his hand moves to brush several strands of stray hair from her face Carmen flinches a little, not out of fear, but out of surprise. The gesture was almost…affectionate. Of course she did not believe he had any feelings towards her more than the friendship they were developing, but it did seem they were becoming friends. Little did she know how much they had in common of their pasts, neither really sure about their pasts even if they had both made it to Earth in very different ways. As for his words of encouragement, that made her smile some. She knew she was tougher than she looked, but for another to see it made her quite proud. Carmen may have looked like a human even if she was far from it, something Anri knew now.
”I am just nervous is all…I am not afraid!” She says, not meaning to raise her voice as she does, but getting a little defensive. Anri had no doubt realized she was a bit childish in many ways, so quick to reject the fact she might be a little afraid like a child might lash back against being accused of being afraid of the dark. ”This is new to me; I am not able to fly through the air like your fancy self.” She continues as the Makaio twists some to look down at the clouds, and ground below. As the clouds rolled by she was able to catch glimpses of the green grass below, the plants hard to distinguish at this height.
He wasn’t encouraging her to jump, but he might as well have been. Starting to move, no longer clutching him so tightly she eyes him a little before turning her attention back to ground below. ”So you are confident I will survive? You best be right.” With that the pink haired girl powers up and shoves away from him, breaking free of his grasp before plummeting towards the Earth. Spinning some she turns so that her back is towards the ground and she can look up at him, a wide grin across her face, the expression accentuated by her pointed canines.

It was amusing just how much the girl reminded him of a youngling where her body matched that of a human as a young adult her mannerisms and speak matched that of someone who was much younger than she looked, it a bizarre twist but one he enjoyed. With her raised voice at her quick reply Anri gave off a deep laugh that vibrated through his chest, very much defensive but at the same time it wasn't something that was unexpected from the mind that she held. With a little reverse physiology he was adamant that he would be able to make her do just about anything that he would ask of her but it wasn't something Anri was going to do, still it was a though that intrigued him. Even know he had the feeling that against his words that she was going to do just what he said she didn't have too, whether she really wanted too and need some encouragement or his words had become a challenge in her mind so now that it was exactly what she wanted too do.
"I never directly said that you were afraid now did I? Little bit defensive are we?" Anri grinned at his words, toying with the girl.
"At one point everything is new, fresh, exciting too all. How do you think I figure out that I myself could survive such a fall like this one? It was really on a dare that I played with a few of my comrades back home, we all piled into a ship and raised higher and higher into the sky. Last one to jump out won all the cash we have placed down, needless too say I walked away from a three mile fall all the richer than before." Anri told his brief tale as he took notice that Carmen's grip on his body has lessened as she was inching herself ever closer to the edge than before, her eyes glancing at the ground below and the puffy grey clouds that floated by. Already he knew exactly of which she was thinking but Anri wasn't going to hold her back any, it was her choice to make and alone she would make it. There was no need to push her any, after all this was something that eventually she would have to do, he was simply there as a guide and a type of transportation for the young girl.
"Carmen I have the up most confidence that you will survive and walk away from this." Anri stated as he watched Carmen power up and roll away from his grip as he let his arms drop back down too his sides.
Falling through the air like a stone Anri watched quietly as Carmen plummet towards the ground, even though she had never flown before she had great air maneuvering skills as she turned around to face him with a grin on her face. Even though she had stated she wished to learn the ability to fly one day he thought that she was ready for it now, many people had issues with directing themselves once they where falling through the air but even with the strong winds the tore around her she seemed too be doing very well for her first time. Whether or not she knew it there was great potential in her that she might have known, even now in her small actions she was displaying it before him, though as she drifted further and further away he would eventually lose sight of her... and for some reason or another the impact might not be as friendly as he first thought then he should be closer if need be.
On that note Anri flipped his body 180 degrees so that his head was now facing towards the ground and boosted himself towards the Earth's surface leaving a red trail in his wake, even though Carmen had gotten a head start on him in no time flat he would be upon her as his Ki powers would cut off leaving him falling around the same speed that she was going. As the fell together their bodies ripped holes in the clouds they broke through leaving a ray of light flooding down from the sun with every cloud they punctured into, almost as if they were angels that had fallen from the heavens above. Even though Anri had taken flight and soared across the skies many times before the feeling of falling was one that he never grew bored of, it was very similar feeling too that of flying but instead one's self was rocketing towards the ground as it grew closer and closer, knowing all too well that soon enough it would meet them head on.
A grin broke over Anri's face as he looked over towards Carmen as her hair whipped wildly back and forth across her face from the winds that gusted around them, it was a warming sight too see just how much she was enjoying the free fall, he hoped that the impact wouldn't be too harsh on her but he had done such a thing in heavier gravity even higher up and had survived from it. Leaning his body backwards Anri was able to perform a flip in the air using the wind pressure and his own bodies weight to maneuver skillfully in the falling sky. He had seen similar stunts pulled off by humans who would take to the sky's in plane like vehicles, once achieving such a height they would too jump out a fall towards the ground with strange winged suits that gave them great control over their direction.
"So what do you think! Not as bad as you thought it was going to be was it?" Anri yelled out his words as with the gusting of the winds around them it would have been difficult too hear anything other than wind less one was yelling too the other person.
As he spoke Anri would glance down as the ground was much closer than he had first noticed though it didn't concern him much, such a impact would leave him stuck in the ground for a few seconds but then he would be fine.
"Alright! Here it comes! Just relax and try not to smash your face, probably gonna burn like hell!" Anri laughed as he spread his arms out awaiting for the embrace of the earth.

Free from Anri’s grip Carmen dropped through the sky like a meteor, her red aura trailing out behind her as she fell. Strangely enough it was rather easy to turn and face him in the air, unbeknownst to the girl; she had already utilized her Ki to reposition herself. Such use of her Ki was incredibly close to the way in which most used I to fly, controlling the flow of your own energy and shoving it out of your body in the opposite direction you wished to travel. Although quite simply in terms of intellect she was a surprisingly quick natural learner, her young mind impressionable and quick to absorb information even if she did not know the best way to utilize it. With her back to the ground she giggles as she pulls farther away from her armored friend. For his part he did not move as she fell, his words having assured her before that she was going to be fine.
Either way she would be finding out the hard way soon enough. Punching through the first grey cloud Anri disappears from her view. How strange it was to take his words of encouragement so seriously, the Makaio confident she could handle the impact when she eventually struck the Earth. It had been the same when she had met Alexander, the young male easily convincing her that they could do great things together, make the world a place of chaotic fun for them to enjoy. Alex had not made her promise any fealty to him though, only that she answers his call when he needed her. She liked that him, and in Anri. The two had been the first individuals to interact with her without any sort of expectations for whom or what she was, they treated her like her. It was no shocking that they were not found of human’s either, such creatures as them were above the inhabitants of this planet. No human could survive a fall like she was about to endure, just another reason she was better. Of course she had no idea about the handful of humans that exceeded even her power, but they were the exception to the rule.
Bursting through another fluffy cloud she spun again, looking towards the ground now as she throws her arms out to the sides. The shift in her momentum causes her to start spiraling, gradually picking up speed as she was again unknowingly using her Ki to rotate in the air. Letting out a childish laugh she is forced to squint her eyes as the wind rushes into them, the sensitive orbs not immune to such things no matter how strong she got. Closing them for a moment she allows herself to fall in darkness, the sensation oddly liberating. Seeing nothing and feeling nothing beyond the wind that rushed around her, the pink haired girl felt completely free. Perhaps learning to fly was something she should master, if just for the freedom alone.
Hearing Anri, suddenly shout from close by, her eyes shoot open as she spins to again have her back facing the ground.
”It’s amazing, nothing restraining me!” She shouts back over the howling wind. The wide grin she wore across her face revealed the complete honesty of her words, the young demoness as gleeful as a child on a swing for the first time. Nodding to his warning she flattens out some in the air, trying to spread the impact of her soon to be collision across her entire body. Despite her joy and confidence, her hear still skipped a beat as she could almost sense the ground behind her.
With an explosion of dirt and stone Carmen slams into the ground, her light body ripping apart the earth as she touches down. The small girl disappears in a cloud of dust as rocks are sent high into the air, a cloud of dirt and dust concealing the area for a moment. Anri no doubt landed off to the side in similar fashion, the two of them probably having reached terminal velocity. For a moment there was nothing but silence as she settles into the ground.
With Anri most likely rising to his feet quickly he does not see Carmen right away, but hears her. A high pitched scream erupts from the cloudy impact crater. A second later the pink haired girl staggers out of the dust, clutching at her right arm with her left as she screams in pain. Her right arm hung at her side as she clutched it, her footsteps staggered as she stumbles then drops to the ground. Something was seriously wrong, the young female no longer laughing like she had done during their descent, it seemed he had been wrong about what her body could handle. When he was to approach her the extent of her injuries would become apparent.
When Anri came towards her, like she expected he would, Carmen whirls to face him. The high pitched screams of pain end abruptly as she turns, replaced by mischievous laughter if he had fallen for her strange prank. In reality, besides several scrapes and bruises, the girl was fine. A sometimes sick sense of humor the cause of her mischief. Her laughter plays out a moment later as she tilts her head to the side and smiles.
”Got yah! She says with a giggle, before looking herself over. ”You were right though, I am perfectly fine.” Her tone hinting that she was a little impressed with herself and that she had not fully believed him, even if she had taken the leap.

Large chucks of the grey, poorly shaped clouds tore away as the two of them side by side rocketed towards the ground like that of massive stones, more so on Anri's part than of Carmen, his size and shape alone with his bone plates could resemble that of a boulder if caught in the right lighting. Jots of opposing winds blew at Anri's body as he fought back with his own strength too keep at the same pace with that of Carmen, though with how much air time he had gotten over the years it proved easy for him to stay at her side. Watching her as they dropped through the skies he had a great view of her skills of controlling her position and falling speed the use of her own Ki, it was almost as though she was on the edge of flying, just a small push in the direction and he was sure that she would pull it off. With her arms spread out off to her sides Carmen began to spin around in a large circle making a shape that would closely match that of a star if anyone was looking up from the ground, though if they were it was best for them to move out of the way.
Responding to Anri in a similar shouting fashion that he had done Anri gave off a grin at her words, it looked though she enjoyed the feeling of free falling just as much as he had when he had first tried it, though fortunately for Carmen she wasn't pushed out of plane to get back home, she had chosen too do it on her own free will... even if Anri might have coaxed her into doing it a little. Even with the gusting winds blowing across her face whipping her pink hair around in a crazy mess he had clearly hear what she had said, nodding his head up and down he gave her a thumbs up, some human gesture he had picked up here on Earth. With the ground racing up too meet them Anri prepared himself for the impact, though he really didn't need too a fall was still a fall and he didn't much feel like getting dirt in his eyes. Laying his arms across his chest Anri shut his eyes as he faced up towards the skies; crossing one leg over the other as if relaxing on the beach he waited for the ever approaching soil.
Like a chuck of space rock tearing from orbit Anri slammed into the Earth kicking dust and piles of dirt meters high and away in a fury of power and mass, taking rocks that had been dug deep into the ground they were torn to bits being flung into a fine powder and carried away by the winds. Coughing slightly from a small amount of dirt in his gills Anri sat up from the piles of freshly shifted Earth with a deep laugh that shook inside of his chest. Holding his mouth closed Anri built up pressure inside of his gills until whatever dirt that was stuck in there went flinging out and embedded its self into a small rock, cracking it in half. Streching his back with a loud yawn Anri seemed relativity unphased by having dropping a mile from the sky and slamming back first into the hardened Earth. Snapping his neck to one side Anri was quick to pull himself out of the crater that was similarly shaped to his own frame as he looked back and forth across the field too find the smaller crater resting but a few feet from where he had impacted, small smoke trails rose froth both of the earthen grave from the shear speed at which they had fallen.
"You make it out alive?" Anri spoke cocking his head to one side as he crouched at the edge of the crater.
Though Anri had expected to hear something he did not expect to hear the high pitched scream of Carmen as her voice scratched at his ear drum's, though the girl wasn't nearly as strong as him her voice could seriously injury a person if they were close enough. Hobbling out from what was left of the smoldering crater Carmen was clinging her arm as it lay limb against her side though Anri saw no sign of blood dripping off her skin the bone might have been dislocated or even broken from such a fall. Scratching the back of his head it looked as though he had been wrong in assuming that she would make it out of the fall relativity unscathed, though it really wasn't the first time he had been wrong, and it probably wouldn't be the last time.
"Oops." Anri gave off a quick smirk as he rose from his feet and walked over to Carmen too see just how bad the damage really was, though he was by no means a doctor he had spent enough time traveling to know how to put a arm in a split and even how to shove a bone back into its socket.
Covering the distance too her in a few stride Anri was about to place his arm on her shoulder to turn her around but before he could it was Carmen that turned around with a smile on her face. Shouting that she was joking Anri shook his head and began to give off a hardy laugh at her joke.
"Ya, I guess you did. Lucky thing you told me before I got a hold of your arm, might have tired to reset the bone." He grinned as he looked her body over, other than a few scratches here and there with few lumps on her smooth skin she seemed to be fine.
"Glad too see your fine. Told ya you could make it." Anri smiled as he brushed his hand onto her head with a since of pride that she had believed in him... and lived to walk.
With the small cuts that lined her body Anri reached into the black strap on his bandolier as he pulled away the the material which held everything inside so well, searching pocket after pocket he eventually found one were he kept small bandages. Taking one apart from the white paper than protected and kept it sanitary, with the sticky part facing away from him he was quick to place it on Carmen's cheek just below her eye were a small cut was bleeding slightly.
"Worst one out of them all, so I think you will live. Congratz! You are among a handful of people that have fallen from miles above and walked away." Anri laughed as he turned his gaze too the field around them, this looked like the right place Carmen had been talking about and they had flown the right direction, at least he hoped. With all the flying through the clouds he had lost his sense of direction a tad bit.
"So it this it? Is this the place of your first memories?" Anri questioned the young woman.

Her little joke was a success, well as much as it was going to be with the large alien. In all honesty she had not expected him to panic if she had been hurt, the experienced fighter no doubt having seen countless injuries over the years. He had already mentioned a couple he himself had suffered so it wasn’t really a surprise when he stomps his way over with a simple “oops.” Once he was close she was quick to reveal that she was in fact fine, and a good thing considering what he says he would have done if she had in fact broken a bone. Face blanching a little she waves her arm at him to show that it was indeed fine. Carmen did not want him trying to reset a bone that was already in the place it should be. Climbing up out of the crater to stand before him the pink haired girl’s smile almost consumes her ears.
”Of course I made it! I am a lot tougher than I look you know, even if my body isn’t covered in strange armored plates.” The Makaio explains as she pokes him in the chest as if he needed the natural armor he had to be pointed out. Smiling up at him as his hand runs over her head the girl, although she was in fact a woman, seemed more than pleased he was proud of her for actually jumping. Admittedly it had been rather fun to freefall like that and if she ever learned to fly Carmen was going to take advantage of that. In a short time after she mastered the ability Anri should not be surprised to find a field full of Carmen sized craters. After all, the girl really didn’t know much about restraint when she found something she enjoyed.
Cocking her head to the side as he turns back some to look through his bandolier she wasn’t exactly sure what he was looking for. Since she had met him the Vennor had not once gone inside his pack with sich vigor, checking compartment after compartment as it was soon obvious he was looking for something rather particular. Strangely enough she waits calmly, and waits for him. Finally he turns around with a small white strip in his hand. Head still cocked, uncertainty plastered on her face, Carmen watches as he peels whatever it was apart before sticking half of it to her cheek. Blinking a little she attempts to look down at the sticky paper, but the placement of the bandage compared to her eyes does not allow her to see it.
Reaching up with one hand to poke at it she all, but forgets about it when he questions her. ”Uhh…yup, looks like it, smells like it, so it must be it.” Turning away from him the small girl examines the landscape, trying to remember which part she remembered seeing first. With the vast field looking pretty uniform it was a bit hard to pinpoint where she had awoken for lack of a better term. Biting at her lip a little she starts to walk, a slight skip built into the movement as she moves across the grass. ”I think it was around this place somewhere…it all looks the same. Like I said before I just woke up here, just as I am now. Kind odd isn’t it? I don’t think it is how most people are born.”
Carmen had the mystical entity Pandora to thank for her reconstruction after she had been killed by her sister, but the Makaio had no memory of the events. Even upon meeting Carla at the Lookout she would not remember what had happened her not so long ago. It was likely that she would never know where it was she came from, not that it really bothered her. Carmen was not one to reflect on the past, her bright eyes always looking towards the future.

Anri found some amusement after he had placed the small bandage on Carmen's cheek as she tired her best to take a look on it as it rested on her face but her human based anatomy would not let her do so, instead she went around touching it, though just for what rest to why that is was unknown too him. Though her body was that of some one much older looking Carmen's mind seemed to fall some where a years back acting more child than anyone he had come across yet on this world, it could have been the fact that naturally she was just like this, or maybe something more happened before she awoke in the field here. Kids always seemed to like messing with stuff, whether it was the hot stove they had been told not to touch or a bandaged wound they always seemed curious about everything, Carmen seemed to follow along these normal guide lines as well. It seemed as though no matter just where one would go in the vale kids... or those with child like minds all seemed to react the same way to most situations.
The thoughts were being recorded in Anri's mind as she watched over Carmen as she prodded the small white bandage, everything he was experiencing here on Earth, its weather, its people, even Carmen were all something he could take knowledge from even if it was a small detail he never knew just what might save his ass one day. With every planet he explored Anri would do this, over and over again; back in the old worn out clunker of his ship there were vast treasure troves of information from the places he had visited. Most of the planets that he had visited were completely barren places with the occasional drug outpost or crashed satellite he was sent to recover. Too anyone that would have been looking over his shoulder as he typed up the files they would just see lines of text in an alien language, describing his ideas of the planet and how to best survive. In rare cases he would go about thinking of ideas to colonize a world and reap a benefit from it, through either exploiting its resources or extracting power from a nearby star.
He had learned much here from the Earth and it's people though Carmen did add a new twist too it, she was unlike the rest of the humans in the sense that she herself was not one, it was true that she held their appearance as the same, Carmen was something completely different and thus so he needed to figure out just what she was. There was no telling where exactly she came from or just how she came to be as she was today. Truth be told Anri had never dealt with something such as this in all the years of exploring and mercenary work he had done, this was fresh to his mind and he was looking forward to learning more about what she was, but it just wasn't that. There was something about Carmen... something familiar that he felt like he could almost reach out and touch it, but with every chance he tired too the imagine would just slip through his fingers and drift away, almost seeming to mock him with its sly movements. It was Anri hopes that maybe he unlocked the girls memorizes then maybe he would get a hold on his, if not for just a slim moment.
Coming back to reality of the matter Anri asked his question to Carmen who took a quick sniff of the air and told him it smelled about right to her, Anri hadn't thought much about the scent of the area up till now, even as he took a deep breath in it smelled just like grass too him. It was all possible that the girls unknown origins also enhanced her sense of smell, or maybe she naturally had a good sense of it but too Anri it didn't seem much different than that of city, maybe cleaner.
Taking small movements in a circle Carmen examined the land over, peering over the trees and the tall grasses that surrounded them, had Anri not had a good sense of direction he might have become lost in the all similar looking scenery that all seemed to blend together on the rest of it. Breaking off and anyway from Anri Carmen took the led, quickly her steps turned into hops as she skipped her way through the grasses. With how tall Anri was with his long legs keeping at a normal walking pace he was able to keep up with the skipping pink haired girl, crushing the tall grass with each and every weighted step he took. Eventually Anri was able to match her rate of movement as he slide up next to her, moving side by side Carmen spoke up once again mentioning her uncertainty of where the exact spot too which she had originally woken from, withe everything seeming to look alive he wasn't shocked by this.
"I know what you mean, it seems as though this whole place has just been copied and pasted over and over again, everything looks very much the same." Anri noted as he turned his head back and forth scanning over to the horizon's were he could make out the tree line and the smoky grey mountains off in the distance.
"Agreed, I've never heard of such a way of birth before... though if that's how you were born that would have been a first to hear, maybe you're just very special." Anri chuckled with the light joke.
"Hmmm... well something cannot come from nothing, matter and energy have too have an equivalent exchange of-" He paused as he glance over at Carmen, he had noted earlier that her level of education might not have been near his... it was all possible she did not under stand what he was saying.
"I mean, for something to be created- formed, something else that is equal too what is being created has to be use. Like... a plant uses sun light to grow, it takes the energy from the sun rays and makes it into food, then the plant can grow." Anri did his best to make his words less complex for the sake of Carmen, he didn't want to lose her in all of his scientific talk and maybe she might learn something here.
"That being said... when you awoke, here, in the field were you are as you are now? Is this the way you looked when you first woke up, is what I'm asking." Anri asked with interest in his voice, very few races he had come across spawned in their full fledged adult forms, most races were spawned very young, small and frail; not until years passed that they grow into their full size. There were a few reasons this happened as it did; first off the mother would not be able to sustain life with something the size of herself inside of her body, and secondly the amount of nurtiens that would need for both parties would be something that could not be met by one person alone. Less for some reason Carmen's mother was the size of a house, which he very much doubted, then she was formed another way if she was brought into this word as she was now.

Back in the field she had been “born” in Carmen strangely felt no real connection with it. From what she had learned in her short life, human’s tended to have connections with the places of their birth. For whatever reason they felt an attachment to these places as if there was something physical that tied them to it. Even Anri and Tenshi had spoken of their homes in a way that reflected the love they had for them. They may have not realized it at the point, but Carmen had picked up on it for she wasn’t always as dense as she seemed. It was not a lack of intelligence in the girl, but a lack of an attention span. Their tales of their homes and past events though had intrigued her so her attention had remained on them, absorbing details about her two newest friends. Despite all her childish ways and antics she was a smart girl, a quick learner as Anri might have noticed already.
Moving around the field, random trees dotting the landscape, Carmen inspected everything as if she was looking for something. In reality she was trying to jog her memory, to see something that might indicate the exact spot she had woken up. It all looked the same…the grass and trees blending into one landscape. In one spot she found a log that she did not recognize at all, the huge tree having sunk into the ground some, but it was still almost as thick as she was tall. Poking it once she abruptly turns around and heads back the way she had just come. Anri for his part stays right with her once he matches her pace, the large alien easily matching her hops and skips with his long strides. Continuing along she nods to almost everything he said, understanding that things didn’t normally just appear out of nowhere…although there probably were some exceptions…like her. When he asks about what she was like when she awoke she pauses and turns.
”I woke up just like this.”She says as she motions up and down her body with her hands.
”Clothes, pretty hair, guns and all! I don’t think it is how most individuals are born, but it seemed to work just fine for me. Made it simpler really, I didn’t have to earn any money to buy those things. I do not think a naked girl would have been so willingly hired by many…” She sort of trails off, realizing the potentially dark path the statement was taking. Blinking once she looks up at him with a smile all over again.
”Do you think maybe someone dropped me off here? I guess I would remember that though…” She says tapping her chin some. It didn’t make much sense, but there had to be some explanation for how she had arrived on this planet. Carmen obviously wasn’t human and Makaio just didn’t spring up on Earth…as far as she was aware. Little did she know that a force far beyond her own power had reconstructed her human body to the form she now had today. Like Anri she did not know her past.
”Maybe I grew like a plant?!” She pipes up, excitement flowing into her voice as she thinks she might have found a possible explanation. Maybe she didn’t remember because she had only become aware at a certain time in her life?

The grassy fields that filled the gaps between the cityscape of Central City and that of the far off mountains though their smokey peaks were much closer than they had been from before when Anri had first spotted them from the roof top. All around the two of them tall stalks of grass popped up in random patches leaving most of the area free for short bladed grass leaves that danced every so slowly with the weak winds and massively thick trees, many of which reminded him greatly of his own home world, though these would have been considered a sapling by Vennor standards, however the one that Carmen had reached up to touch was most likely full grow at this point in his life span. There was always one way to find out just how old a tree was, through scientific tests or simply chopping it down and counting the many rings that wrapped around its center. The peaceful nature of the area mixed with the wonder and curiosity that filled Carmen's kept him from doing anything of the such, because without any tools to conduction such a test the only means was to destroy the wondrous tree, not something of which he was sure that Carmen would approve much of, after all... this was her birth place.
Leaving the young girl too where her mind led her Anri's eyes wandered across the landscape too see what else that the land here mind set too offer visually or something that could provide nutrients for himself. It had been a long while since his last meal and while he could go weeks without such a need to eat it did effect poorly on his preform in his workings, which would come apparent eventually if he did not find something to bid him stomach over with. Glancing once back over to Carmen Anri spun around in a slow circle, keeping his finely tuned eyes or something that would stick out from the rest of the environment, nuts, berries, even small game. Since the area was mostly in the shades of a green variety anything such as Carmen's pink hair or even Anri's bleached white bones would show off well from a ways off, but the same thing could be said about any animals that roamed these parts. Any off color would immediately pulled his eyes attention onto it like that of a Earthen hawk, the grand, graceful predator of the skies.
Though the area seemed lush with greenery Anri takes notice of the lack of animal life, barley but a faint scent of animal musk in the air, it was all very well possible that they sensed the arriving presence of the two of them but Anri had no prior knowledge of the Earths creatures and any ability to since energies, such an idea seemed far fetched from such other beings but nothing was impossible. The idea of eating small game was something that would have pleasured him greatly but having seen none Anri's standards feel too that of a small shrub with a various amount of dark clustered shells that clung tightly to its branches. Though it wasn't his ideal of a good snack he had eaten worse, much, much worse than this before, compared to the rest this was as though it was candy. Dropping to his knees with a thud that shuffled the nearby grasses Anri went to work at picking the small shell cover nuts away from the base of the branches that they held so tightly onto, try as they might to say held onto their home it proved unless against Anri's natural strength. Picking them off one by one the small brush shook with every pull of his hand and bounced back as the nut was tore from its home, piling them up one by one in his hand Anri soon found himself with a decent collection.
While he was busy picking away it was Carmen that made her way back over to were Anri was knelt over the plant, she was quick to pipe in about of what he had asked her earlier, gladly so he listened though his eyes were still fixated on the work at hand. There wasn't too much for him to say at this point, listening was key to learn all he could from her, her origins, who she really was and what she really was. It wasn't until her comment about a "naked girl" Anri paused in what he was doing and turned his head up and over to glanced at her with a joking grin on his face. The fact that she had mentioned it in such an innocent manner brought amusement to Anri, it wasn't till after the words had left her mouth that she thought there was anything wrong with them. Not needing to say anything on that last part Anri turned his attention back to the food gathering, keeping his ears attentive to her speaking.
"It's all possible... and as for you remembering it... not necessarily...." Anir paused as he racked his mind.
"There are a few cases in which that could cause memory loss. First, brain trauma; a general skull/brain injury that causes partial, or complete memory loss, some time it is permit due to brain swelling certain areas of the brain are closed off for a short time, however there are cases in which it can be long term or even permit loss, though those only really happen in severe cases... I didn't see or feel any scars on your head so I do not think that could be the case of it." Anri paused as he shifted in weight off his knees until he was sitting cross legged on the grassy ground, taking a few of the nuts he tossed them into his open mouth without even taking their outer shell off; with just how large Anri's teeth were and his natural jaw strength there was really no need to worry about it, just more fuel for his body.
"Now there are drugs that cause memory loss, those are usually temporary in effects, not lasting more than a few hours, however if someone was too repeat the process over and over one could possibility lose years of their life in a thick fog. This seems very unlikely though as if this was the case you would have at least some memories of your past before the drugs took effect, and as it is, you have well placed motor skills, speaking skills and more or less active social skills; meaning that this scenario is very unlikely as it stands." All the while Anri placed his hand over his jaw as if he was in a deep thought process.
"And finally... there are technologies that can remove, or even implant memories depending on the users preference. Why someone would do this too you is beyond me, or even who. Such machines are not cheap, even building one from scrap is not something I could ever do; if this was such a case whoever did it too you must have had connections or been vastly wealthy." Finishing up Anri nodded his head at his thought process, almost complete had forgotten that it was Carmen that he was talking too, often finding that he talked out loud to himself more so than been be when he was in deep thought.
Piping up with her idea of being a plant Anri gave out a quick laugh almost choking through the crush shells in his mouth until his eyes caught hers and he realizing that she was being serious.
"Hmmm, I highly doubt that... were as it is an interesting idea, you share very little in common with a plant. You have no stem, no buds, no leaves or petals...but... this does lead me to another idea I had not considered before which would both incorporate you're lack of memories along with your active and developed mortal and speech skills...." Anri's mind trailed off as began to put the pieces together in his mind.
"It is all very possible with what I've been told and what I know of you that you could have been born- created inside a lab... it would certainly explain why you have a human appearance but yield powers that they do not, it would also explain the lack of memories and how you can walk and talk about without any prior memories to learn from." Anri nodded his head sure about the idea in theory but there was really no way he could test it.
"But it's just a theory as it is, I would need more information if I was to continue any further into it. But as it is... this is the best I can think of." Anri sighed hating to run into a dead end so quickly just as he was really getting into it.

Not so hungry, the small girl never really getting that hungry, most of the time she ate only because she wanted to. There had been a delicious little snack she had discovered in Central City known as pretzel bites. The man she had purchased them from after acquiring a bit of her own money had promised her they were the best in the city, he had been right. The warm little treats had kept the Makaio happy for quite some time as she walked amongst the rest of the cities civilians, enjoying the soft pretzel bites. Eventually her walk in the city that day had lead her to a shirtless drunk throwing a car through a tavern, which had in turn led to a fight with a grumpy woman in a dress. Thankfully she was able to finish off her little treat before actually having to enter combat, spilling them would have been a crime.
Returning to Anri’s side the pink haired girl cocks her head slightly to the side as he plucks the little nuts from their plant. Having no real knowledge of what one could eat or not eat from the wild she found it fascinating that he just started tossing the crunch sounding things into his mouth. Eyes watching his powerful jaw chewing and crushing the strange nuts Carmen barely realized he was talking, never mind the fact he was trying to piece together her “birth.” Realizing it was about her he was speaking the Makaio listens intently, obviously interested in figuring out where it was she had come from. Then again if she never figured it out it was just the same, she could just continue on with her life, but it would be nice to be able to tell others where she had come from. Based on the interactions she had with others so far that was a common bit of information that people tended to share alongside their name.
While he confirmed he did not think she was a plant, mainly because she didn’t look the part, her friend brings up several different possibilities as to why she did not remember anything before this point in her life. Listen off the various ways from head trauma to a machine specifically designed to alter her thoughts he discredits them all, labeling them as not likely considering how developed her mind seemed beyond her own history. Carmen couldn’t remember a thing about her life before this grassy plain, yet she had a very specific personality and unique abilities. The last idea he proposes though did have soe plausibility behind it…even if she didn’t like the sounds of it. Being born in a test tube? That just sounded gross, where some human might have come from. Carmen preferred not knowing where she was from over finding out she had been grown in a lab.
”Yuck…I do not want to know if I was from a lab or not. If I was, wouldn’t that lab have to be out here in the middle of nowhere? I mean it doesn’t make sense that I would be grown somewhere in a lab then just left in a field.” She says as her nose crinkles a little with a pout. There was logic behind her words, but she hadn’t really meant it, only wanting to deny the most plausible explanation they had found so far. Biting her lower lip for a moment she thinks, wanting some way to counter his example with one of her own. ”What if I came to be through MAGIC.” Carmen exclaims as she waves her hands through the air as if it helped explain. ”I have heard magic exists in the world, although I have never seen it. What if I was created through sort of magical spell so that the perfect girl was created?” She adds with a smile, quite proud of whom and what she was. Little did she know her explanation that was meant as a distraction was actually the truth, the powers that had created her magical indeed.

Muching his way through the small stock piles of hard shelled nuts Anri watched as Carmen seemed to think ill of the idea that he had purposed to the pink haired girl, her face brought an amused smile to the old war mercs face; her reaction was one that many thought when cloning or test tube babies were brought into the picture but in reality such people where no different than others, other than their ogrin of course. Putting a normally born individual next to a tank breed one and no one could tell the difference not even Anri with his years of traveling and scientific habits would be able to tell them apart, but regardless many still thought it abnormal enough to find fault with it; Anri on the other hand thought it as answer too many in need. It wasn't just full fledged people than could be grown but that of a persons missing limbs, or even going as far as making a child for those that could not bear one themselves, even cross species lovers could form a child with a varying amount of gene splicing, however these processes were never in a paupers mans dream. Most who thought ill of such tank breed beings did not fully understand just what went into the process, uneducation was the down fall of many scientific break throughs and even as far as many races had come it was the lack of true information that never brought around these technologies. Anri's people had long ago found out such technologies, however they were used rarly due to cost and lack of a real need, the population of their world was set for "X" amount of beings, no more than that was necessary due to the effect of climate with more mouths to feed and more space for those new born's and with such laws who needed a clone?
While for most people the ideas that had been thought would apply but in Carmen's case it was not lack of knowledge that made her hide away from the idea but the fact of her young like personality just thought it gross, which only added more humor to the situation. Going on with her with her train of though Carmen did bring up a good point; if she had been built, or grow in a lab then why would they dump her out here in the middle of no where. It was a good idea though the in the mind set of Anri it was nothing but terrible reasons, which the girl might not like very much. Unlike Anri, Carmen was a young playful girl, though she did have a some what of chaotic sense too her for the most part she was innocent of the true hate and evil that filled peoples hearts and mind, nothing was ever black and white nor good or evil, but many things leaned very close to the fringe of it.
"Well, there are some more possibilities too that, though none of them are very pretty." Anri paused as he tore away at another nut shell, the hardened outer material turning into dust against his large teeth.
"It may not make make very much sense too you but in the world there are people that aren't as kind as you are, evil lives inside many peoples hearts. For example, lets say a company was trying to create you inside their lab. The project costs hundreds of millions of dollars to produced a viable living you, but something goes wrong and they find fault with your design, not wanting their employer find out they dump you out here thinking you are dead, then you awaken. Its not the best of all situations but similar things have happened before. " Anri explained through a mouth full of dry tasteless shells.
"Or another idea here, they finished with your design and were shipping off to another lab, during transport a rival company attacks the transport, somewhere in the attack the ship goes down and you're pulling from the vessel. You fall and land here in the field, before they can find you you leave. Yet again just another idea but all plausible." Moving his head up and down slowly the situations bounced around inside his head thinking them over, it was all possible that either one could happen with such an mysterious origin as her own but without having seen just how she came too be there was really just no way that he would ever know her true origins but it wasn't going to stop him from coming up with theories about them.
Bring up another point this one brought a great deal of attention from Anri on the young girls idea, Anri had little experience with dealing with such beings, even in his travels, such an being of power had never been introduced too him till he found his way to Earth. Jenn was the first person too show him the power and form of magic, though he might have witnessed before hand else where at any point in time before he had met her he would have thought it just some strange form of Ki. This was an area in which Anri was out of his element, he could strip a ship, build a cannon from scrap and hack a firewall, but this... this was not something that Anri could take a grip on too; even with as well as Jenn told him about it, it still seemed very foreign to him, either something you were born with or not.
"I suppose that's possible...." Anri racked his mind heavily.
"One of my... friends, a woman that I work with knows the subject quite well, one would even call her a master of the art. Frankly, I don't- can't take a hold of the concept of magic but she shows a high degree of mastery over it. If anyone could tell you if your origin was an magical one, it would be her. I am one in which that could show you if your origin was that of a scientific nature, that is my area of expertise. " Anri ended on that note knowing it was very likely that she would want to follow suit on finding Jenn, something in which Anri wasn't very fond of showing her. Though he found some fondness in the girl he wasn't about to bring her straight to the castle in which the new ruling leader was awaiting, the dog-man was not one too welcome guests even if they were friends of his lackeys, most likely he would end up trying to recruit the young girl, and though he had never seen someone say no to the command of the dog he couldn't imagine it would end well.
"I think she is busy about now though." Anri lied though his well placed poker face held no glimmer of lies too it.
"She travels often for her work, so I have no idea when she'll be back, or where she might be about now." Anri kept the lie up, the young seemed pretty trusting so it shouldn't be too hard to lie to her without her knowing, and after all it was too here benefit as too right now, once the reign of the dog man was finished or the rebels were finished then he was sure that he could bring Carmen face to face with Jenn, but not while the dog was in the picture.
