Rosen took out a napkin and began washing his hands. He wanted as little of the drug to be in his system as possible. The creature did not seem to have that same problem. Looking up he saw half of her body had fit inside the basket which was no longer full of food...He wasn’t even sure if the basket was full of wood anymore or if she’d eaten that too.
Hell it had looked like she was going to have a heart attack when he first told her she could eat as much as she wanted. But this, this was a tad ridiculous had the creature not eaten anything before. Rosen couldn’t help but wonder what UNITY had in mind when they came up with this girl? What was their plan, was it to rid humanity of their food surplus so they could raise prices?
Seemingly content the girl sat up, sighed and promptly fell backwards to lie on the grass the sun was just beginning to warm. Looking at his watch he knew it would take about a minute for the poison to set in and for the girl’s muscles to be fully paralyzed assuming her biology worked the same way a normal human’s did. Rosen took the opportunity to look into the basket, there were chunks missing.
No definitely not normal human biology.
Still while he had the opportunity he had to get her to react somehow so he would know when she was fully paralyzed or if the drugs had any effect whatsoever.
“Child,” he said trying to keep the warmth she had grown accustomed to in his voice. How he couldn’t wait till he could go back to being himself and drop this forced act. “I realize now I have no idea what your name is. Friends should know each other’s names. Don’t you think? I know you can’t speak but can you nod? Would it be ok if I gave you a name while we talked?”

Vixi sighed happily as she laid in the grass as the gentle breeze blew across her face sending her long strands of orange hair whipping across her skin, she couldn't remember such a time where she had ever been this full before, in fact there had never be a time before this point. This was the biggest meal she had ever eaten in her life, minus the sixteen years she had been inside of the tank she had only been 'alive' for little over a week, and what a week it had been. She had escape from a UNITY lab, lost her father, spoke to voices inside of her head and had a full course meal with so many different types of food she couldnt even fully recount all that she had managed to shove down her throat. Breads, fruits, little cakes, there was so much! Vixi considered herself rather lucky that she had been blessed with such an encounter as meeting the man, though her father might not have approved of talking to him in the first place turned out to be a rather good guy. She was sure that if she explained what had happened he would fully understand, he was a smart person and not to mention caring, though the explanation might prove difficult with her lack of words.
Turning her head she watched as Lance wiped his hands with a cloth, she thought it kind of strange as he cleaned them very vigorously but his clean cut suit and well shaven face showed he was a man that liked to keep clean. Shrugging her shoulder at the thought she turned her attention to the ever brightening sky above them, the dark sky had given way to the dull orange of the rising sun, already it had broken the horizon on the planet and was slowly drifting up towards the rest of the sky. She loved watching the bright ball of fire rise up the sky though the process was slow she would usually watch it until the first people arrived in the park. It was beautiful watching the different streaks of color as they appeared over time in the sky, sometimes if she was lucky all the colors in the rainbow would show up as if just for her.
Lance was the one that broke the silence that grown been the two, though she being she couldn't talk she didn't have much room to say anything to the man that had fed her. Saying that he should give her name if they were going to talk she thought his question over, if wasn't that she minded if he gave her a name though she much preferred that he call her by Vixi, but she could tell him that. It didn't take her long to decide on the thought as she shook her head all the while her long hair was dragged through the short blades of grass, as small pieces of it became tangled in it.

The creature shook it’s head giving Rosen permission to make up some absurd name for it. Damn he thought the drugs would have taken effect by now. She had eaten enough to kill a bear and yet she nodded without giving any sign of being affected. He studied her face with as much attention to detail as he could manage but she showed no signs of being injured.
That left Rosen in a predicament, he now had to come up with a name to call the hybrid as well as find a way to get her to keep moving. Going through his memory he tried to remember what this years most common girl name was. Anne? Amy? It didn’t matter this creature wouldn’t know any better anyways.
“I used to have a friend, a very close friend a long time ago, her name was Amy, would it be ok if I called you that for now?” he said looking at her. Maybe the drugs just needed more time, if not his scientists were going to discover the true meaning of the word pain. Still maybe he just needed to get her moving, to get the blood flowing in her system to get the drugs spread.
“You know my legs are starting to get a little cramped. Amy, while the park is still empty would you like to take a walk with me? You could show me around the area?”
If she agreed he could study her movement, hopefully before too long it would start to grow harder and harder for her. He could see it in his head now, once she was paralyzed he would take her back to the labs and he would still have a word with his scientists over how long this drug took to act. He was getting tired of keeping up the charade that he was a kind caring person. He had places to be and this damned girl was taking up far too much of his precious time!

Vixi thought about the name Lance had suggest for her 'Amy' she thought the name over in her head; it was kinda of plain for her tastes, though it wasn't much shorter than that of Vixi. Shrugging her shoulders Vixi nodded at the name of Amy it wasn't as though it was going to be her real name replacing her name her father had given her, just something the man could call her by until the day she was going to be able to talk, oh how she wished that day would come soon. She longed to actually have a conversation with people instead of just nodded her head or listening, she didn't mind having to listen but there were things she would have liked to add to the conversation, or even just say how pretty the flowers were. She wondered how it was that other people with such a disorder managed to live with other people, it was annoying having to point at everything or just use her body language to get her point across.
Lance spoke up again as he mentioned that he would like to get up and walk around the park as his legs were starting to cramp, she though such a thing odd as her father had never had the issue as they sat on the slide, maybe it was just because Lance was old. She had noticed that the people with the grey hair were often a bit larger than those that didn't and couldn't stand or sit as long as the ones that were younger than them, it seemed like the kids had all the energy while the elderly seemed zapped of such powers. Vixi didn't mind the idea of a walk, it would be a good way to help the food digest after having ate so much of the stuff not to mention she would have loved to go prancing around the green grass in the rising warmth of the sun.
Pulling herself up right Vixi upper body began to sway back and forth as it seemed like the whole world was spinning around her, placing her hand on the ground it helped to support her body. What was wrong with her? Had she simply eaten to much of the food Lance had provided? Having never eaten as much as she had she was completely unaware of what might happen if she had eaten such a large amount as she did. Her head began to grow heavy as did her eye lids, now the world appeared like she had just woken up from her sleep as everything was becoming blurry making it difficult for her eyes to keep open much longer. Giving out one final gasp of shock Vixi fell back into the grass with a light thud as her vision of the world faded to black as she fell into a deep sleep, if one had simply come across her they would mealy though she had decided to take a nap in the park rather than the ugly truth that she had been drugged.
Vixi lay there peacefully on in the grass as already a small line of drool ran down from the corner of her mouth, in the dim morning light it gave her face an angelic glow of youth and beauty like the gods themselves were shinning down upon her. Though such beatuy would be wasted on the chilled heart such as Rosen's was, but person that actually cared about the beauty that existed in the world would have watched in awe at the girl. However even though no one was at Viki's side to help her she was being watched from above by a higher power, as the chances of the clouds moving to shine on her face was not an action caused by the winds alone.

The creature shrugged at her new name but he took that as a yes anyways. People shouldn’t question things, especially things that are given to them. If she had a true name then maybe she should have been in a position to tell it to him.
Honestly after everything Rosen had done for her, offered her. (He pointedly ignored the fact that everything he had done for her had been an attempt to poison her and eventually kidnap her.) This girl should be grateful, she should be offering Rosen her services. But he smirked hiding it behind the facade of a genuine smile. Soon enough she would be providing her services to Rosen Corp whether she wanted to or not.
It didn’t matter that the drugs hadn’t hit her yet. Sooner or later they would, and when that moment came Rosen will have won. Standing up he see’s Amy rise to her feet as well but then her body began to sway back and forth unsteadily, unable to hold herself up she stumbled forward and had to use her hand to support herself. With a small gasp the creature fell forward planting firmly on her face. Had he not known better she could just be sleeping peacefully.
Rosen raced forward without a thought pulling the knife he always kept on his leg out and slashed the little demon’s throat.
Blood flew everywhere, it covered his thousand dollar suit and dripped down his hands a vicious testament to the murder he just committed. With joy Rosen watched smiling all the while as the last lights went out of the creature’s eyes still not comprehending what had happened to her, where she had gone wrong. That’s what the little bitch got for wasting so much of his time!
****
Snapping out of his fantasy Rosen watched for a moment as the creature fell forward to the ground. Because the damned drugs were rushed out of his lab he had no idea if the creature was actually unconscious. He knew she shouldn’t be able to move but he didn’t know if UNITY had given the damned beast any resistance or tolerances. He also didn’t know if she could hear. So instead he kept up the forced facade of the kind and caring friend.
“Amy!” he shouted running forward and kneeling beside her. “What’s wrong? Are you ok?” He rolled her over till she was looking up at him. Inside he was full of glee, he only hoped she stayed like this till the labs dissected her for all the trouble she put him through, but his face showed nothing but terror and concern.
“It’s ok, everything will be ok I promise. I will get you to a doctor.” he tried to sound calm and reassuring. He took off his jacket and wrapped her up in it. Picking her up he would begin to carry her to the car where Mercy was waiting to drive them back to Rosen Labs where the fun would truly begin….

Lances words fell on deaf ears as Vixi lay in the soft grass of the park completely unaware of what was going on around her. She had unknowingly consumed a vast amount of drugs that had been contained inside of the food that had been inside of the picnic basket, there was more enough that was contained inside of the consumables too knock a full grown elephant on its own ass. Though the man sounded like he had great concern towards her Vixi had no idea of his actions at that point in time as her mind drifted peacefully inside of her own head. Though her mind was not as empty as she first thought as the white plain she had once visited began to pull her in towards it, soon she was standing in a never ending white void, the sky, the ground even the far off world was completely enveloped in a thick sheet of white almost as if time there was at a stand still.
Out side of her mind Lance had at this point picked the young girl up and was taking her back to the his car to take her too see a doctor though it might not have been the doctor a person would normally expecting to see after such a fainting. Such things Vixi had no care for right now as she was venerable too whatever might happen to her seemingly life less body, her fate was in the hands of Rosen, which was not well placed but what choice did she really have at the moment. It was like she was a deep sleep, one she might not fully wake up from, all of her senses were dulled to the point were she might have well been in a coma, even the hardest slap to the face would not wake her at this point.
Back in her mind Vixi sat upon the white flooring as she waited, she knew to wait at this point because not long from now it would appear, it had just like before and she knew it would come again. Her patience did not fail her as the persons presence was soon felt over the emptiness of the void, the shaggy dark hair was the first thing she noticed, against the bright background it wasn't hard to miss. The thing looked like her father but just like before it did not hold the same scent as the man she loved, but at the same time it had no scent of its self. Her reaction was not the same as before were she had run up to it thinking it was her father but she knew this time that it was not him. This world she was in wasn't really one of its own, rather it existed only somewhere in the depths of her mind. Her reaction wasn't totally cold as whoever it was that greeted her was in her fathers form, even though it wasn't her father it still shared his appearance not to mention it was kind to her, even its words seemed to have an air of calmness to them. Wagging her tail it slid across the ground the orange fur created a scrapping noise against the smooth flooring, bobbing her head back and forth she waited till the person was but a few feet away and then its self sat on the ground next to her.
"It's been too long hasn't it? I'm sorry I could not come sooner but I had other things to deal with. So many places to be and so many people to guide in their lives. Its a shame that more people can't follow the voice inside their hearts rather than rely on a outside voice to guide them." The voice called out to her as it almost seemed to sigh at the last part.
Vixi didn't mind the long wait, it was just nice to have some one else to talk too. Sure she had found Lance and he was nice but for some reason there was something about him that put her off, she chose to ignore it though because of his kind nature, not to mention the food was always a good way to get on her good side. Shaking her head side to side she noted that it was alright, of course already being a part of her mind it knew Vixi's thoughts as soon as they came to be.
"I'm glad to hear it but I don't have much time so listen carefully and heed my words with great insight as your life depends on it, but remember what I told you last time that you have to have courage. You will be brought to a lab that is similar too that of which you were born into existence, I know feelings about such places and I share your concerns about such things. Once you awaken you must run, run at all costs. I know how you feel about hurting people but such things might not be necessary to escape. Do what you must to survive, and escape from the lab, more lives hang in the balance that either you or Lance Rosen knows of. Once you make it out live the city for a few days, the sun must rise and set three times before you should think of coming back and one more thing I understand your feelings towards Lance but you must stay away from him. Though I can't force these upon you I hope you will take them into great consideration in the next few hours." With the last words the man disappeared from the world around her leaving the little fox girl alone with all that she had been told.
Why did she have to stay away from Lance after all that he had done for her she couldn't understand what he had done to deserve such a thing...but it had been the only person that given her hope in the first place...sighing Vixi lay on the floor as her the white that sky that had been above her began to glow in a spectrum colors. With her hands placed behind her head she watched the colors as they drifted like waves across an ocean, she wasn't sure if she had been the cause of them to form but they helped her to relax in her current situation. Even though the thoughts raced through her mind she knew that she was indeed going to need to escape from wherever she was going to be taken, she just wasn't sure why Lance would take her anywhere were she would be endanger.

As Rosen carried the creature off it’s tail began to wag back and forth. He told himself that it was a reflex, he had no idea what was going on in the depths of the girls mind. As far as he knew she could still be awake just paralyzed. He had no way to know the girl was being given cryptic warnings against him.
Instead as he carried the girl in his arms he looked quite fatherly. He kept whispering calmly, to her, reassuring her how everything would be ok. The girl would trust him to the very end. Then when the rug was pulled out from under her it would be all the sweeter.
As he got to the car he gently put her down in the back seat next to him. Looking up at his assistant Mercy whom he had told to wait in the car. He nodded. That was all the go ahead she needed before the car leapt out at breakneck speeds. They had prearranged the signal since Rosen wasn’t sure just how much the girl would have eaten or how much the drugs would effect her.
He never suspected that she would eat enough of the drug to kill a bull, instead he had prepared for the worst case scenario as always. As they sped back towards the lab he took a wet nap out of his pocket and placed it on her forehead, if she were to wake up Rosen would look caring and concerned but mostly he was keeping an eye out for any other sign of movement like her tail.
Luckily they made it back to Rosen labs without further incident and he began to relax slightly. as the car sped into his underground facility his shoulders slumped, there was nothing UNITY could do to help the girl now. She was his.
His victory brought a genuine smile to his face. Again picking up the hybrid creature himself he handed her to his head biologist Dr. Kline he looked her in the eyes.
“She’s highly drugged and already fully paralyzed, there is no need for a sedative or pain killer, she won’t move and if you dilute this creatures blood even a fraction they will find pieces of your body in every corner of the world. This creature represents a significant investment, now go cut her open and see what makes the little girl tick.”

Gazing up at the streams of color above Vixi lay on the ground as she waited for what was to come next, she knew she wasn't really awake just as this wasn't her real body. They last thing that she could remember was that she had fallen into the grass just after she had finished eating with Lance, though she had no idea of what might have cause such a thing to happen, it wasn't as though eating had ever put her into such a quick sleep before, however she had never consumed such a large as she just had not long ago. Hands placed behind her head Vixi relaxed and waited there wasn't else she could really do anyway when she was here her body was left laying where ever she had last fallen asleep and from what the person had told her Lance was talking her to a lab... lab. The word make her skin crawl at just thought of it, and will all the terrible experiences she had there who could have blamed her; nearly killed not long after she had been born there was no love from her toward such places and she would have preferred to stay away but her fate was in Lances hands right now.
Already Vixi was inside the long black car as it was speeding down the mostly empty streets, as Mercy swerved around every obstacle that was in her path, it looked as though she cared little for the law as she must have broken at least twenty of them with her reckless driving skills. The car came to a screeching halt as they pulled into a under ground structure, no longer was the morning light shinning down on them, as it was replaced with a dim almost green glow that casted long shadows across the parking garage. Snaping the door to the car open Lance stood up from the leather chair with the girl laying in his cradling arms, if it had not been for the grimace of discomfort on his face he would had looked like a caring farther rather than an disgruntled business man.
Rocking back in forth inside her head Vixi looked around at the white room as they colors that had been drifting in the sky began to fade away as even the whiteness that surrounded her pulled away like someone had pulled the plug in a sink. The world around her shattered as the pieces pushed away from each other, falling into the darkness Vixi soon found herself back in her body, though she found that she was not able to move it. It was almost as if she was being held behind a thin wall, she could hear all that was going on around her but she could not see a thing, eye shut closed all she could do was listen. However the first words that came out were not ones that she had been expecting, they belonged to Lance but it didn't sound like something he would say; it was mean just not the words but how he said then, his tone was like ice as it drilled deep into her heart. 'Drugged'...'paralyzed' what was he talking about? What had happened to her? Unable to move or ask questions (regardless if she wasn't paralyzed) all she could do was lay there limp as she was passed from Lance to someone else. Just from the scent of the person alone she had guess that it was a man, they seemed to have a different smell to them that woman did.
Luckily for Rosen, Vixi's understanding of the spoke lanaugae was still in its beginning steps or otherwise she would have understood what he had meant by cutting her open and 'see what makes the little girl tick' meant. Words alone was one thing but such saying were new too her, as such his words confused her but also distilled fear inside of chest. What was it that he had planned for her, and why could she not move her body?

Rosen smiled from behind the glass as he looked in on the dissection. The girl had put him through more trouble than she was worth but he was invested in this now. He’d invested his time and his own personal effort into this project, he was going to watch the young woman in front of him get sliced apart while she was still breathing.
Looking through the glass he saw four doctors all wearing masks and surgical gear deposit the helpless girl on a cold metal table. The room like the table was cold, concrete walls and surgical gear all around. Doctor Kline hadn’t even bothered to change out of his old scrubs which were covered in blood from his last experiment. It would be a chilling experience to anyone inside the room, Rosen however was on the right side of the glass and looking in brought a smile to his face.
“Sir.” Mercy said from directly behind him.
“Not now Mercy. Can’t you see I’m enjoying a small victory at the moment.”
“Sir, a representative from UNITY, is on the line for you.” That gave Rosen pause. Could they know? Was it possible they had already realized he had possession of their experiment? Well they could shout and curse all they wanted, she was in his labs, she was his property now. Still he needed to know.
“Which UNITY? Their public front or one of Matsushita’s men?”
Sir, it’s Toiu Matsushita personally calling for you.” she said seriously. Really now. That gave Rosen pause. That the director of UNITY would call him meant this girl posed a significant investment for them as well.
“Transfer the call to my office upstairs and tell them not to delay the dissection for any reason.” he said striding towards the elevator.
Once in his office he sat down in his chair and waited another moment before picking up the phone.
“Hello Toiu. So good to hear from you.” Toiu however cut him off before he could continue with what he always assumed were required pleasantries.
“We know you have her. We’re prepared to pay for her return.”
“Brief as always my friend, unfortunately, she did not survive our capture process.” he was lying of course but there was no need for Toiu to know that. In reality she was downstairs in Mercy’s capable hands right now. As far as Rosen knew however she could already be dead. He had no way of knowing how fast the dissection was moving. There was a long pause on the other end of the line.
“Fine, we’ll still pay to get the body back.” Rosen smiled, this was going to net him a nice profit after all.
“Of course my friend. Always a pleasure doing business with you.”

*sorry that this post was so long really got into it*
Though Vixi had no use of her eyes as they were gently shut as if she was sleeping, her soupier sense of hearing gave her a well painted picture in her head of what exactly was going on, but with just sound alone she didn't have much of an idea of who was around her or where exactly she was being taken. The last words she had heard from the man in the white world was that she was being taken to a lab that was similar to the one she had been born in, already the idea created goose bumps up and down her skin. Why had Lance brought her here? She had fainted but why to a lab? She had only a small grasp of the human world but there must have been other places he could have taken her to receive the same treatment as she was going to get here. Thought Vixi could not put her finger on it something in her guts told her something was defiantly off, along with the words that the man had told her she knew that she needed to get away, if not for her own safety just to get away from here, a lab was no place for a free spirit such as herself.
Her body was unable too move with every command she fired at them but she was quickly regaining her sense of feeling as the man who had been carrying her the whole time placed her upon a cold smooth surface. If the tiny bumps that had raced down her body before had not been noticed them surely they would have been now, as even the cool air that blasted at her from the panels in the ceiling seemed bent on freezing her to the core. The sound of scurrying feet could he heard on the hard floor as it appeared that there were at least four other people in the room that scurried around grabbing things from the counters around her, the same clinking sounds that they made her sure that whatever it was that they were reaching for were made of metal. The only thing she knew that was tiny and made of metal were spoons and forks she often saw people in the park use to eat their meal...eat...EAT! Where they going to eat her? Why would Lance have brought her here for this? Did he not care for her?! Struggle as she might to try and move her body it would not respond to the commands she sent out to each limb, it was almost as if they weren't there to being with.
Even with the scraping of the peoples feet, their occasional words to each other and the metallic noises that filled the air she could still make out Lances voice across the room and through the thick glass, though she had no idea he wasn't in the room. Vixi wasn't able to make out all the words of which he spoke there was one word that held heavy from him, UNITY... Vixi by all means wasn't the smartest person alive but she knew that name and knew that nothing go would ever come of it. Before hearing this she was afraid of what might happen but still clung to the idea that everything was going to be fine and had just misunderstood Lance but all hope was crushed at this words. Father had made one thing very clear to her in the short time they were together, never...never trust UNITY, it didn't matter what they said, they would do whatever they needed to in order to get what they desired the most. Needles to say Vixi heart was crashing against her ribs as it begged to be released from its capture, little did she know the scientists around her had just that idea in mind.
****Few floors up****
Already at this point Rosen had retreated from the viewing room above and fled to a room that was much higher in the building, up to his cozy executive suit were he could gaze out over the city and watch the ants they called people march never knowing they were more than just a call away from being killed if the need ever arised. Sitting at this desk the conversation that he had held with Toiu the leader of UNITY was coming to an end, as the man held a smirk across his face knowing he had tricked the fools over at UNITY, of course the girl was still a live but they had no real idea of knowing such a thing. However his excitement over his deal was going to be short lived for the business man; in a flash a stream of pure light would break though the ceiling of the mans office severing the connection of the phone from its base. Particles from the torn ceiling would shatter across Rosen and the table at which he sat at; sun light from the outside of the building would begin to flood through the crack but this seemed to be normal like compared to that of which had just sliced his phone in half. However this was only the first in many steams of light as dozens of streams began to assault through the offices ceiling, ripping through like paper the beams would continue their descent down through the floor and deeper into the facility.
****Back down below, a few minutes prior****
Strapped to the table Vixi lay in wait for something new too happen or for control over her body to come back to her, she prefer the later of the two but then she was at the whim of the four people that were now surrounding her. Their ideal conversations had ended as all she could near now was the dim buzzing lights from above, and their breathing through what almost sounded like their faces were covered. Oh what were they about to do to her? She soon would find out the answer to her question. As her sense of feeling had now returned back to her body she could clearly feel as jacket was being opened as whoever it was tugged at the silver zipper, quickly pulling it down till the end, pulling back the sides to reveal her bare chest. Not a scratch nor even a blemish could been seen across her smooth frame, as if she had just been born not but that day, thought they were off by about a week. Though it seemed like they cared little about that as she could feel something cold and sharp being placed just below her rib cage.
"Alright I'm going to start the first incision just below the rib cage right at the diaphragm." The man spoke out.
"Dr. Kline don't you think we should at least give her a sedative or at least kill her humanely?" This time it came from a woman to her left.
"You must be joking right? Thank god Rosen had left the viewing room otherwise it would be you on this table. We do not get paid to ask questions nor do I get paid to treat this thing 'humanely' as you can clearly see this...THING is not a human and why should I treat it as such? My job is to slice her up, see how she works and given the result to the boss, as cheaply and as quickly as I can. As long as I don't have to worry about her screaming then I really don't give a if she's in pain, for all we know she can't even feel a thing. Watch." Dr.Kline spoke out as his hand made contact with Vixi face with a hard slap against her cheek, the sound echoed and bounced around in the small room.
Vixi had felt every single cell that was in the man's hand as it struck her across the face as the pain welled up inside of her body, it was the first time she had ever been struck before... she had felt pain before from hunger and cold... but never had seen been hit before....
"See? Not a damn thing? So shut your mouth, do what your told before Rosen gets back down here and straps me too this table." His cold voice rang out.
"...s-s-sir...." The woman's voice called out with fear.
"What is it-!" He yelled but as the words came out from his voice he knew what it was that had struck a cord in the woman.
Vixi lay on the table with her eyes now shot wide open, though her eyes did not look like they usually did, they lacked any sense of a soul like a blank void, even the bright green that was usually vibrate in the light of the day had vanished. Streams of tears ran down her face and down across the now red mark that lined her cheek, though the tears remained the fear that caused them was long gone, replaced by a emptiness inside of her heart. The doctors in their scrubs watched in awe that the girl had woke up at all from the drugs that had been infused inside of her body, but not only that...it was her eyes... it was almost like they were looking inside the very souls of everyone of them and it was the fear that held them in their place. However it was Dr.Kline that had snapped out of the soul sucking void of her gaze, as he still had the scalpel placed in his hand he was the only one that was in the position to kill the creature before it had a chance do make a move. However as if reading his mind Vixi head cocked to face him in a jerking motion, eyes meeting she gazed into his soul; opening her mouth they thought she was going to speak but what came next was a sound they no one would ever forget. A blood curdling scream of a wounded demon exploded froth from her mouth as the force of the impact rocketed Dr.Kline towards the nearby wall with enough force to create an lasting impression of his frame embedded into its side.
Vixi's scream was join along with those from the fellow doctors in the room making it sound all like the slaughter house it was about to become. Feeling with fear at what the girl had just done the remaining three doctors made a bee line straight for the door, tripping over medical equipment that had been knocked over in the scream. As if on command a beam of light torn through the ceiling slicing through the arm of the closet doctor, staring in shock at what had just become of their limbs he screamed out in pain and terror just as three more strands of light ripped through his body craving him to pieces. Having fallen too the floor at this point now the other two doctor watched in horror as their fellow scientists body collapsed too the floor in chucks of meaty fleshy as blood gushed across the once sterile room. Whipping her head back around she glared at the two as their mouths shut from the lifeless stare, slipping her legs off the table Vixi made contact with the solid ground below just as more streams of light burst through the ceiling into the room. With nothing to prepare him for the onslaught the woman screamed in terror as the last of her fellow scientists was sliced to pieces by the gleaming blades. It was her and her alone as the shredding lights flickered in the room, she was alone...with this monster....
With every flicker of light Vixi seemed to inch closer and closer to the woman, each one of her striding steps splashed in the crimson puddles flooded the floor. Soon Vixi was at the woman's feet as the droplets of blood that ran from her face fell onto her legs, peering up she saw the lifeless eyes staring at her. Shaking with fear all she could do was watch as the girl bent down to match the level that she was at, all the while she couldn't break contact with her eyes. Coming down to the same level woman watch as it seemed like the creature had frozen in its movements, even in the flickering light from behind the girl she could make out the pitch blackness of her eyes that were only but a few feet away. Opening her mouth as if she was about to speak once again one final steam of light burst through the room striking down the last lighting fixture and there was silence...followed by a blood drenched scream.

He had done it, he had tricked Toiu, he had captured the creature, and he had sold the little bitch back to her owner for a hefty profit. That wasn’t even including the profit he was going to make studying her blood and DNA before selling it out again to the highest bidder.
He was about to literally pat himself on the back when the first beam struck. Coming down like the fist of God the beam cut a clean line from his ceiling, through the phone on his desk, through his desk and straight through his floor without stopping.
He jumped back in shock.
What in the hell was that? As if the universe longed to answer him dozens more blasts of light followed giving him the chance to see exactly what the hell that was though it left him with very few answers.
Before he could think what the hell was happening or put anything together in his mind alarms started blaring and emergency lighting took over.
“Well a little late.” he complained noting that his office was already destroyed, not thinking that there were probably people on the floors below who hadn’t noticed a portion of the building was destroyed and in danger of collapse yet. Those people weren’t him, so they didn’t matter.
***
Floors Below
Down in the basement emergency alarms were blaring. Already people were trying to evacuate but the elevators were locked down. The emergency stairs weren’t any better as they were swarmed with soldiers that shot anyone who tried to come up not knowing what the threat actually was.
They didn’t have a clue what was the cause of the alarm or what was coming for them, but one thing was for sure, it wasn’t going to get through them without a fight.
****
Rosen was just about to leave and take one of his board members offices when his private elevator dinged quietly and the doors slid open. Out stepped his assistant Mercy. Before he could question what she was doing on his private lift she cut him off.
“Sir, the creature, she’s escaped. She’s on a rampage, she’s already killed everything on B8 and the last reports we have say she’s trying to make her way up.”
“WHAT?!” he said before he thought better, there was time for rage later. For now every second mattered. “Fine, seal off every floor no one goes, in, out, up or down for that matter. Collapse floor B7 and B8 just in case she’s moving faster than you think. And then release the nerve gas onto B5 and 6. Any one incompetent enough to let a drugged and unconscious child escape from them doesn’t deserve to live, let alone continue working for Rosen Corp. I want her dead Mercy. Fuck the experiments we can test with her corpse instead.” Before he had even finished talking Mercy was on her phone setting his plans into motion.
No the girl would not escape him so easily. Not at all, Rosen Labs was a death trap waiting to happen and she was still trapped in the basements. On top of all the guards on every floor, Rosen had the codes to collapse any floor in the basement instantly crushing anyone foolish enough to be there under thousands of tons of rubble. And he could gas any floor in the whole damn lab. If this child thought she could just run loose in his office just because she killed Doctor Kline she had another thing coming to her. He’d see the bitch choke on her own blood, from the nerve gas before he ever let her escape and made him look the fool, his deal with Toiu be damned!
Still there was time to lose his temper after she was dead. For now though he had work to do. Walking back towards the elevator to wait for her personally on B1. If it came to it he would stop the girl himself…
But maybe he wouldn’t have to…
“Mercy, quickly. Find the destroyed suit I was wearing the day that brute Anri threw me to the ground outside Kemuri’s palace. I have an idea…”

The scent of iron held heavy in the air as it flooded out through the newly smashed doors of the operation room and down into the main corridors of the level, even in the dim lighting of the emergency lights a streak of crimson was smeared along the ground. Gleaming in the red light from the walls it was still fresh, having not even been there for longer than a few minutes at best, whoever was it was they were bleeding profusely and wouldn't last more than a few more minutes if left untreated. Already it seemed like the whole facility was on lock down as they were fully well aware of what had already gone on down in the labs, not as though it was hard to miss bolts of energy ripping through a building like it was paper. The first sign had been the blaring alarms, their ringing sounds vibrated down the empty corridors as if searching for someone to hear their message...but there was none. The blood smeared walls, random assortment of limbs and chucks of flesh were all that were left of those that had inhabited this level of the labs, there was not a breathing soul left on the floor...all except one.
***Few minutes earlier***
Panic filled the hearts of the few that had been as so lucky to be on the same floor as the girl, already reports from security told the workers that four people had already been torn to shreds by the beast and it was heading their way. It wasn't their first time dealing with such a thing but even so the same reaction never seemed to leave them when confronted by such things, doing their best to take whatever they could the scientists scrambled around the room. As important as they held their lives the data down here was just to valuable to leave behind, if damaged years of research could have been lost, even if they had survived Rosen would had made sure that their existence was not a pleasant one. With the main consoles connected to that of the mother system the scientists sent as many files as they could to other parts of the building to be processed there, it would only be a minute more before the transfer was complete.
"Come on that has to be more than enough! We need to get out of here now, you know what happens if that thing gets here. As much as I like being sliced in half I'd rather want to live to reach retirement!" The security guard yelled out at the scientists.
"Hold on dammit! You know what happens if we don't get this data out of here, I'd rather face that thing than what Rosen will put us through." A male scientists called back.
"I'll take my chances, look I'm heading to elevator. Get done here as quickly as you can and head their, who knows how much longer the boss will let these floors stay in one piece...." With that the security guard slipped out into the hallway.
"Alright guys just a few more files and then-." His words were cut off from the sound of gun fire from the hallway.
As if the world had gone silent all the members in the room turned slowly to face towards the door as they listened to the sounds coming from the hallway. One shot...two, three, four, five- followed by a blood curdling scream that torn through the door. Already a pool of red was dripping under the door way, the smell of fresh blood filled the room as everyone watched in terror of what would come next. The sticky sounds of feet against the cold harden floor echoed into the room as they stopped just outside the door... squeaking on its hinges the blood soaked girl walked through the door way leaving the new found darkness of the hallway behind her. Gasping in fear they looked at the girl as she clenched in her teeth a woman by the neck, as blood ran from the corners of her mouth and eyes, from the red soaked scrubs they could tell she was one of the four that were with the girl when the attack first started.
Seeing that there were people in the room the girl scanned her head from the left and panned all the way across to the right side of the room, all the while her lifeless stare never leaving their sight, not once had she even blinked during the whole time. It was as if it was trying to decided what to do with them as the void of its eyes looked into them sending shivers running down their spines all at the same time. The next part was the one that scared them the most as a toothy bloody grin shot across her face as it revealed the deep gash in the woman's neck were her teeth were placed in. Gasping out in terror one of the scientists back up against the wall knocking an assortment of tools off the nearest counter, as the girl snapped her head to face the scientist, the grin reappeared once more as she left the woman drop from her mouth and land on the floor with a lifeless thud. Vibrations from the ceiling above shook the room as a series of bolts of light ripped through the floors above cutting the wires that supplied power to the lights of the room, in a flash the room had grown dim with the only light source was the few computers that had survived in the barrage. Luckily the scientists seemed to have survived such an attack but during the furry of sparks and light the girl had been lost from their vision, keeping as still as they could, the scientists glanced around the room trying to spot any sign of where she might be.
A scream came from the back of the room as a warm, wet liquid splattered across the other two scientist, even in the dim light of the room they didn't need to see what it was to know what it was. Panic filling their chests they both seemed to have the same thought to run at the same time from the room, if they stayed in the room any longer they would surely have died from that monster. Hearing the nails of the creature clinking on the ground behind them was a great motivator to never stop running, siding out from the door and into the hall way it was darker than once before as it appeared as the flood lights had all gone out along the hallway. Studying the buildings lay out for all those years they knew exactly were elevators were at even without being able to see were they were going, as long as they didn't get lost it was all possible to get away from the creature. As the first scientist cleared the door way and ran to the left the other was not quite as lucky as the girl tackled him as her nails ripped into his back and razor fangs torn at his neck, with such great speed behind her, the strike slammed him into the wall in a furry of blood and guts.
Adrenaline pumping in his heart the lone scientist marched on down the hallway, fear in his eyes he put everything he had into getting the hell away from that creature it had already killed dozen's of people through out the level and he wasn't about to wind up on its menu. Sliding to side into the next hall he caught a glimpse of the creature from the new found light in the hall, caught in the right moment he could see the girls sparkling bloody teeth glimmering in the dim light. Eyes widden with fear he jetted on down the hall way, already he could see the elevator was still open and waiting for him, though he could see no one else there he didn't care, freedom was only but a few away from him. Feeling a snag on his leg he tripped out yelling in pain as he landed on his back, holding on to his leg he glanced down at where the girl was crouched down watching his body shake with fear, her blank staring meeting his fearful gaze. Placing her hand over to his sides she crawled on her hands and knees growing ever closer to the mans face until their noses were touching, the man did his best to hold his breath as the the blood dripping from her lips was much more than he could take. It was odd that he wasn't dead yet though, the creature had killed all the rest of the staff without so much as any effort involved, why was he still alive? Cocking her head she examined the mans face rubbing her blood covered hand over his face, tracing the out line of his jaw and upper lip, almost as if she was drawing with the red paint. Finishing she looked at the man the black pools of her eyes tracing his facial features... seeming to give up on the man Vixi stood up from his side as glanced around at the hallway not sure of were to go next.
In a state of shock the man watched that the creature had spared his life this far...was she really not interested in him? Turning her back on him he took the opportunity to get sprawl back onto his feet and stumbling into the elevator, falling onto the carpeted floor he kicked the closet button with his foot not even caring to look back if the creature was there or not. As soon as the door closed a series of explosives were set off around the level and the one above sending the two levels crumbling down in rumble, he had made it...just in time. Giving a sigh of relief the man started laughing from sheer fear, sitting up his body was still shaking from the mixture of fear and pain, it had all been too much for him. Pushing himself back to lean on the wall he felt his body hit something much softer than he was expecting the wall to be, that's when he felt saw the droplet of blood fall down on his hand.

Rosen had taken his personal elevator down to B-1 where now he was waiting having his men bring him regular reports. Or they should have been if there had been any word out of any of the lower levels.
He had been waiting for 20 minutes now and so far there was nothing. No reports, no signs of motion, no nothing. Just silence. He had used his private elevator to change into his dirty, torn, and mostly ruined suit. Since only Mercy had been allowed in the elevator with him everyone in the office around him was giving him looks.
Had he really just survived the gas and the collapse? Why had the building collapsed on him? Was this an attempt at a coup he was taking care of personally? But regardless of the situation seeing the normally immaculate Rosen covered in dirt and grime was almost as frightening for his employees as seeing the building collapse around them.
Rosen’s fingers twitched, he had to physically resist the urge to clean himself off, this was unnatural, he should not be put in this position. Still if the soldiers were too incompetent to do their jobs it appeared he could be forced to act for them.
And so he stood as the last line of defense on B-1. Should the beast escape past the poisoned gas on levels 2 and 3 he would be waiting there for her. But he had a plan, diplomacy had not failed him quite yet.
He was so lost in his own thoughts he didn’t notice all his employees turning, he didn’t notice them begin to stare and point in horror. But most importantly he didn’t notice the elevator sign indicating that the elevator was on it’s way up from B-5.
The collapsed elevator should have been in lockdown. It should be unable to move. It shouldn’t be here, unless something over rode it.
He didn’t notice any of this however until he heard the sound.
*Ding*
Turning his attention is finally drawn to the elevator as the doors open.
“Dear, god.”

The slow gears of the elevator quickly filled the outside of the floor as a strange silence flooded in, filling the chest of anyone that was close enough to hear it; in times of emergency and panic most people are prone to freeze up rather than act, just like they stood in silence awaiting to see what it was that would appear from the elevator. Most everyone on this level was tightly wrapped in thick plates of riot gear and were armed to the teeth with a complex assortment of guns and batons too fend themselves agasint whatever threat that was looming inside the deep shattered layers of the building. Many of them had a calm look on their face even if they're hearts were pounding like a hammer against their chest, it wasn't the first time that something such as this had happened but it definitely was the first time that the lower levels had needed to be destroyed. Never before had an experiment had gone so far as too cause Rosen to destroy two levels and flood the rest with Nero-toxins, whatever it was that he had been working on down there he really didn't want the damn thing to escape. Already the death count between whatever it was and Rosen was probably about even though Rosen seemed to preferred letting his technology do the killing rather than digging in with his own hands and spilling blood onto his person.
The dim roar of the elevator buzzed in the air as the the only break in the silence was the electronic dings of each level that had been reached, the strangest fact of the matter other than the elevator was moving was that it never stopped, as if it had a mind of its own, a metal beast that climbed higher and higher up the tower until it would find its next source of prey. Glancing from the lit up numbers that lay inbedded in the metal doorway and the sleek door an air of tension hung to almost everyone there, excluding Rosen of course who at up to this point seemed rather distracted with his own thoughts as he clung to the wall on the far side of the room. It had been a long while since anyone had sent a report last and his patience for news was growing thin, he was used to having information at his finger tips and with his supply lines cut it was as if he was trying to fight a war through the void of nightfall. Though as he waited, expecting some sort of information to come running around the corner no such news would ever reach his ears, everyone he had sent down into the levels below had their fate set in stone as they unknowingly journeyed down into the dark maw that had awaited them, all that would have been found of such people were the garments they had worn on their backs, sliced to bits and soaked in their bodily liquids.
It wasn't until the loudest and final ding did the man finally take notice that the elevator its self had come up from the floors below, the metal beast had followed its masters orders and came to a gentle rest, only when the squeaking of gears stop did the doors pull back to revel an unexpected sight. Laying sparwled agasint the back side of the elvator was a man clearly dressed in clothes that would have been best suited for that of one of Rosen's scientis but the overwhelming scent of blood wafted from him as once a clear line of sight was fixed on him they would notice that his face was coated in a thick layer of fresh blood that almost seemed to mask that of a curdley draw beard along with mustache. It was not the fact that the man was covered in blood that was the most shocking but rather the fact that he was still breathing, so far it appeared as though he was the sole survivor from the levels below, even with that fact in mind his heavy breathing mixed with the shaking of his body proved that he was in shock from whatever horrors he had just witnessed.
A mixture of confused, shock, and fear drifted over the room as it was clear that the armed men weren't sure of what too do as of yet, already their heavy loaded weapons were pointed at the now open doors but it didn't seem that the target was a threat; whether the man didn't see the weapons pointing at him or was still in dazed state wasn't clear. Though his eyes stared out into the open room and the armed guards his gaze seemed to be almost staring past them as if off into space, ever so slowly the life came back to his eyes as he craned his neck back and forth viewing the party that had waited him. It wasn't unexpected that such a greeting would been awaiting him after all that had happened below, it was all very possible that these men had no idea of what they were up against...but sometimes ignorance was bliss, and this was no excepting from the rule.
Taking a deep breath he slowly opened his mouth, all the while fighting against the dried layer of caked blood that seemed to attach his lips together, with enough effort he managed to part his lips as he spoke out too them.
"Run...run while you still can...she...it's here...." His words came out weak as his breath came in rapid waves, even with the panic filled in his voice he did little to act on his own warning to the men, clearly the man was defeated mental and no longer had the will power to go on, after what he had witnessed though it was no surprise.
Though the man warning had reached them it was far too late for any of them to be saved, as the lights of the room began to flicker in rapid succession, and quickly one by one the room grew dark, only lit by the small lights that covered the guards equipment and the still active lighting of the elevator. A few whelps of fear shot through the room before they were quickly exhausted by one of the higher ranking officers, however it would have been best if their prattling continued as soon as their wails died down did the quite chilling sound fill the room. Tearing, ripping, chomping and oozing flooded the room from a distant corner, sounded as though it was coming from all around them it was unclear of which direction in which it was coming, just that they were stuck with it, in the same room as the beast.

Normally the expression ‘heads will roll’ was a euphamism for people being fired. Today however Rosen felt he should make an exception. A literal rolling head would be a fantastic example for whoever the hell designed the security protocols in the Central City branch of Rosen labs. They had a hard-line incoming power, a generator, and back up generator in case the first failed and still the lights were flickering. They had armed security, protocols that leveled the first few floors of his labs, and gassed the next two and still the creature managed to get to the same floor as him. He could sense it, he was never adept at sensing energy but the beast exuded enough power that even if he couldn’t pin it down he could still feel her and she was close…
Honestly how was this beast still alive? Just who in the hell did this creature think it was? What right did this beast have to continue drawing breath? Rosen had invested his personal time and effort into this pathetic child and in return she was now destroying things he genuinely cared about. His labs, his property, his men, all of them had suffered at the hands of this ungrateful beast that didn’t have the good graces to simply die. It had now cost him far more than whatever return investment it would be worth. Just the idea that he would be losing capital on his personal investment made Rosen see red. It wasn’t just the money, everyone loses money from time to time, but the fact that he had been forced to resort to such measures to contain the creature. Even if he kept it from the major newspapers, he would never be able to hide the fact from his competition. He would lose face, lose power. The creature would no longer simply die, no that wasn’t enough. The creature would suffer, the beast would suffer enough that stories would be told for generations to come of her agony. Stories that would make children 100 years from now wake up screaming and crying from their peace. He swore that before this day was over the sounds of the bitch’s agonizing screams would be the lullaby to which he fell asleep.
Still the creature had power. Power Rosen could use, power Rosen could manipulate, power Rosen wanted for himself. He turned to his assistant. He wasn’t sure how good the creature’s hearing was so instead he took out a notepad his hand flying over the paper
“Hack into UNITY, I don’t care if we get caught. Find what this creature cares about and bring it to me. I don’t care what it takes get it done.” quickly scanning the paper Mercy nodded leaving the room. It was a good thing she was gone, the creature had never liked Mercy, her presence would only antagonize the beast further. Rosen looked over at the blood covered man in the elevator. He seemed to be devoid of his senses, the tears running down his face smeared the blood mask that he was wearing.
"Run...run while you still can...she...it's here...." he mumbled over and over again almost as if it were a mantra he sung to himself.
Run? Rosen though? Not likely, instead he grabbed a pistol out of one of his guards belts and calmly put a bullet in the man’s head. The message was clear there would be no escape for anyone who saught to run. Even if the creature didn’t kill them, Rosen would. You fight or you die no middle ground.
No sooner had the ring from the bullet faded than the sound of tearing flesh filled the room. He could see the man next to him was clearly uncomfortable but the demonstration he had just made kept him from fleeing. The lights were flickering but each man had a flood light attached to their armor which they turned on filling the room with a more steady glow.
Moments later Mercy’s voice chirped in his ear piece. “Sir we’re into the UNITY server’s there is no doubt we’ve been detected as it was crude hack job, but we’re in. Everything about the creature has been wiped and burned. There is nothing to find, nothing to use. I’ve failed sir, I’m sorry.”
She had failed, but then so had Rosen, he should have seen this coming, had his men restrain the girl in some way. Hell he could have slit her throat himself and saved all this death and destruction. Still there was no point in worrying over what could have been. Slowly Rosen walked to the center of the room taking his time to unbutton his jacket, and slowly he rolled up his sleeves as well. “Fine, Mercy on my mark cut all the lights to this floor, however don’t cut the power just yet.”
Now finally standing in the center of the room the pupils of his eyes began to expand slowly covering the entire eye leaving no trace of color or white. It was more than just a cool party trick, it allowed Rosen to see other people’s heat signatures even if the room around him was pitch black. “Now Mercy, cut the lights.”
As the room went black Rosen couldn’t help but smile, there were still other soldiers and scientists on the floor and even a few in the room but they weren’t important. He was going to kill this girl with his bare hands for what she had done.
