It had been a long while since Bear had the chance to stretch his legs. He wasn't used to staying in one place for too long, so the idea that this castle was his new home was hard to wrap his head around. Being the kind of person Bear was, he wanted to cause problems, drink, fight, fornicate. (Well, maybe not so much the last one, ladies often having a hard time getting past his stench and grimy appearance. And manners. And, well just about everything else about him.) It was time to restore some normality in his life. He was going to get to know his new headquarters.
Starting his raid in the kitchen, Bear went about opening and rifling through each and every cupboard and drawer, pocketing what he saw fit like he owned the place. Finding a few knives and a new flask he liked, Bear headed for the fridge. Drinking from the cartons and bottles, opening food only to reach a hand in, or take only one bite. Not replacing anything in its spot. Though there was little of interest inside the icebox, Bear was able to find a bottle of Chteau Le Pin Pomerol 1999, which he uncorked at took a thirsty swig of.
Bottle in hand, kitchen as if raided by a grizzly, Bear headed towards the cellar. There were plenty of hallways and stairs, but the brute had a feeling the cellar was where he needed to be. Not to his surprise, upon stumbling down the last set of steps, and finishing the bottle of wine, Bear was met by a mechanical door. On the other side, a goldmine.
Grinning, Bear grabbed hold of the door's steal handle, dwarfed by his large hands. Pulling hard, there was a loud hiss, as the door opened. A completely climate-controlled wine cellar staring him in the face. His booming laugh echoed through the room and out the halls as he slowly closed the door behind him. Happy as a miner who'd struck oil, or someone who'd won the lottery, Bear began to skip through the rows of wine, looking for just the perfect one.
Finding the bottle, a Dom. Romane Conti 1997. Much more expensive than the Ctheau, this running roughly 1,500 zeni a bottle. Uncorking the red wine, Bear again took a swig, slumping down against a cold wall. This was nice; a true return to normality. He knew the chances were that he might not get such a chance again. Setting the bottle beside him he exhaled deeply, a hushed, ”What the hell have I gotten myself into,” and Bear closed his eyes and rested his thoughts.

It had taken a considerable amount of his precious time to explore the castle he was temporarily staying at but it was worth it. He had heard rumors that the previous king had an expansive and lavishly expensive wine cellar and the rumors were true. With a smile Rosen sat in the cellar slowly savoring a small scotch that cost enough to feed a third world nation for a year.
This was his third glass.
As he drank he pondered how right this was. Rosen was a man of means, a man of power, it was only right that he live in a castle now. Granted the castle belonged to Kemuri instead of him but he could get used to this. Yup he was used to it. Now it was only a matter of time before he bought a castle as well. As a matter of fact…
He looked over his shoulder to where his ever present assistant Mercy stood.
“Mercy, make a note, use the corporate funds to buy a castle. Though make it somewhere nicer than Central City, somewhere in Italy or England perhaps. If you can find one where the people around the castle still pay homage to the lord all the better. As he looked over he noted her glass was empty. He had generously allowed her to sample one of the lesser scotches. He was clearly getting soft.
Maybe it was time to stop drinking. If he was already at the point where he allowed his assistant to drink than he was far drunker than he should be. Still it was delicious and for the moment everything was going Rosen’s way, instead of stopping he poured himself another glass.
As he was filling up his glass his day took a sour turn however. A man who Rosen would normally assume was a homeless despot walked in; luckily Anri, the larger mercenary, had warned Rosen all about this Bearman. He had told Rosen to be careful of the man for he was more than he seemed at first. This warning was enough for the moment and Rosen held his tongue simply hoping the creature would leave. Instead he had the nerve to grab an expensive wine open it and drink.
”What the hell have I gotten myself into,” he said leaning against the wall and sliding down till he was seated. This was too much. If he had entered and left Rosen could have held his peace, maybe if he had taken the wine, but to sit there and disturb his own quiet.
“You have gotten yourself into a wine worth far more than a man of your stature deserves. Normally I would take it from you but after you’ve put your lips on it you couldn’t pay me to touch that. Still if you’re going to drink it do the bottle the justice it deserves. Let it sit and breathe for a moment or you might as well just be drinking swill.”

The second Bear's eyes closed he was interrupted: “You have gotten yourself into a wine worth far more than a man of your stature deserves. Normally I would take it from you but after you’ve put your lips on it you couldn’t pay me to touch that. Still if you’re going to drink it do the bottle the justice it deserves. Let it sit and breathe for a moment or you might as well just be drinking swill.”
Snarling, his eyes shot open, searching for the source of the voice. His eyes settled in a quick second on a man and women. The man wore a suit, the girl dressed as neatly. It looked as though this man belonged in an office, not a castle. Standing, Bear looked to his bottle, then to the man and back. Raising it to his lips he would proceed to down half the bottle, tossing the rest to the floor. Connecting, it would shatter, red wine and glass spreading across the floor.
Wiping the 'swill' from his kips with a dirty hand, he would grin, ”Eh, not my taste anyway,” sniffing deeply, Bear could smell the scotch from where he stood, his nose quite accustomed to such booze. ”That scotch of yours; weak compared to what I have in this gourd,” removing his gourd from his waist, he opened it and too a whiff. Delicious. Taking the cap, he would pour a shot, it doubling as a small shot glass.
”Small batch? Try the only bottle ever distilled. Whiskey, the best damned whiskey you'll ever taste,” holding the make-shift cup towards the man, he smiled. Drinking was no fun all alone. Even with the cunning low-blows he delivered, Bear willing to share his fun. Sure, this man was a complete stranger, but he could be no worse than Anri, or Kemuri. The worst thing that could happen, an open invitation. A man with nothing to lose...

The man’s reaction to Rosen was on par with what Rosen would have expected from the beast. Downing half the bottle in one long pull and throwing the remainder to smash against the floor.
“Such a waste.” Rosen said looking wistfully at the glass.
”Eh, not my taste anyway,” the man said in a surprisingly civil voice compared to what his appearance would suggest. Still Rosen was almost ready to dismiss him till the man’s next sentence caught him off guard.
”That scotch of yours; weak compared to what I have in this gourd,”
Really now? The man took the cap off of his drinking flask and immediately Rosen’s nose picked up the smell of strong whiskey and his mouth began to water slightly. The man poured himself a shot and threw it back without a thought.
”Small batch? Try the only bottle ever distilled. Whiskey, the best damned whiskey you'll ever taste,” the man said holding out a makeshift glass towards Rosen.
Normally he would never even consider such a possibility. However he also was slightly tipsy, and had seen that the different people hidden in this castle hid far more than the normal boardroom groupie. Anri and Jenn each presented Rosen with countless new opportunities he couldn’t find anywhere else. The hobo was sure to offer similar prospects. He had been warned to be wary of this hobo, but still nothing risked, nothing gained.
Instead of getting up from the table however Rosen used his telekinesis to float him and his chair across the room landing next to the man. Downing what was left of the scotch in his own class he extended his now empty cup instead and used his other hand to offer his own scotch bottle to the hobo.
“My name is Lance.

Sorry it's a little shorter, next one will be better.

The man seemed intrigued by Bear's offer, and he would have been a fool not to. This whiskey was no ordinary whiskey. It was distilled by monks, who used only the perfect grains, only the freshest water. Taught the art by the monks before them, whom were taught by the monks before them, excreta, excreta, excreta... This was the only chance the man would ever get.
Levitating himself, in his chair, the man joined Bear, offering an empty glass in one hand, his half-bottle of scotch in the other. Bear grinned drunkenly, the man introducing himself as Lance. Taking his gourd, Bear poured Lance a small shot, this was powerful stuff, and introduced himself, ”Name's Bearserk,” he told him, gently taking the bottle of scotch.
Replacing the cap to his gourd, he would quickly grab up his own glass from one of the many wine racks, and pour himself half a glass. Sipping from it, he would eye the man, and his secretary from across the room, ”How about inviting that pretty little face in the corner to join us. The more the merrier,” Quickly snatching a second glass, he would remove the cap to his gourd and pour a shot for her as well, obviously in a sharing mood from the bottle and a half of wine he'd already ingested.
Upon denial of the offer, Bear would simply walk over and place the shot in the girl's hand. If she agreed, he would continue his conversation with the well-dressed Lance. Unfamiliar with modern technology, Bear would not realize the man was somewhat of a celebrity; to him, this man was simply another prisoner of Kemuri.
”What is it that has brought you to such a hell-hole, Lance?” Though it was a castle, Bear didn't figure anyone would have came had there not been something in it for them. Even now, the only reason he stayed was the premise of training under Kemuri, and gaining more power. As a human, Bear was tough already, but Kemuri offered much more than what Bear was already capable of.
((Don't worry about it. My posts are nothing special either.))

The hobo poured Rosen a shot which he took a moment to savor. He had been right about one thing, his liquor was far superior. The scotch Rosen had been drinking earlier had been one of the best and most expensive liquors in the world and the hobo’s put it to shame.
“The names Bearserk.” he said introducing himself as well. Rosen looked at the man and the name instantly seemed fitting somehow. The man Bearserk glanced over at Mercy. ”How about inviting that pretty little face in the corner to join us. The more the merrier,” he said grabbing a second glass and pouring another shot.
Normally Rosen would have been horrified at the prospect of wasting such fine liquor on someone as insignificant as Mercy however he was determined to befriend this man. He would make new allies in this palace and use them all to his advantage one way or another. So instead of rebuking both Bear and his assistant he waved graciously.
“Mercy there is no reason to be shy, come join us and drink!” he shouted probably louder than he needed to but the scotch and now the whiskey were getting to him. Slowly she walked over her face skeptical but she took the glass from the hobo and threw it back in one quick pull. She lacked the sense to savor it but still Rosen saw her face light up with the joy of the drink.
“That was delicious Bearserk. Did you make this yourself?” she asked her voice rough from the alcohol burning it’s way down.
The hobo looked back over at him quickly seemingly ignoring Mercy for the moment. ”What is it that has brought you to such a hell-hole, Lance?”
It annoyed Rosen to have people using his first name in such an informal manner but he knew that first names and nicknames were the foundations of trust and friendship. He also didn’t know if this man possessed any abilities to tell if he was lying. Rosen didn’t consider this place a hell hole. It was a castle, a seat of power, a gold mine of people and things to be exploited for his benefit.
“Well opportunity is what brought me here.” Rosen said ignoring the hell hole part. “Kemuri represented a shift in power, and sometimes you have to take a chance to move up in the world. And it’s not all bad. Now for instance, I’m sitting here, drinking some of the best liquor I’ve ever had in my life, and enjoying good company. However it seems you’d rather not be here yourself, so what’s keeping you?”

Lance invited the girl over, revealing her name as Mercy. As she joined them, she took the shot and downed it like a champ. Bear, somewhat flustered for a second, attracted by such a feat, almost missed the man's words as he answered him, and completely missed the girl's. As he spoke of opportunity, Bear shook his head; not in a challenging way, but in disbelief.
Sipping from the glass of scotch, he listened. Lance seemed to enjoy it inside the castle, as any normal man would, and saw no reason why Bear would call such a place a hell-hole. Asking Bear why he was here made him release a dry chuckle before shooting down the rest of his scotch and pouring a second glass, this time filling his cup. After a second sip Bear would talk, ”Let's just say Kemuri and myself have some history,” Bear was not lying, but he was beating around the bush a little; something that the already tipsy Lance might overlook.
”Much like you, Kemuri presented an opportunity, and I took it,” he smiled kindly, taking another drink, and a cool, long pause, ”... and then there’s the booze!” A joke that may be lost, but Bear rose his glass to touch it to the man's in toast, a hardy laugh echoing through the cellar.
Looking the man over again, Bear wondered what exactly he offered Kemuri. He had a feeling it wasn't all physical strength, but by the way he phrased his words, formed his sentences; the tone he spoke with in the beginning and the way he spoke to Mercy... It was all so familiar to him; strategical...
”Correct me if I am wrong, Lance; but you seem like a man of high intellect... A man used to using his brain...” swirling his liquor in his cup, Bear thought for a second, trying to connect small hints to where they stood now. ”You don't seem to me like the kind of man that would follow Kemuri without doing his research, correct?”
Maybe it was because of the liquor, or maybe Bear was simply trying to reach out to someone; Anri having hated him, Mahajenn already questioning him; but he wanted to know exactly where Lance stood. If he was in the same boat as Bear, teetering between the two sides, the two could make great allies; business partners of the sort. And Bear needed someone he could openly speak to within the castle. Someone working on his level. Someone like Lance...

Rosen looked over reassessing the man he had thought of as little more than a hobo. Anri had warned him not to underestimate Bearserk but his appearance had led him to do just that. While Rosen valued his suit and other finery he wondered if perhaps he hadn’t been giving up an advantage that Bearserk’s look gave him. No doubt people underestimated him constantly and they would pay for that.
The man clearly had some sort of history with Kemuri if he didn’t want to share it that was his business...that’s not to say that Rosen wouldn’t look into it on his own but he didn’t need to hear it right from Bearserk himself. Still he couldn’t help but laugh when the man made his crack about the liquor being what kept him in the palace. Taking a long pull from his glass he had to admire the whiskey that the hobo had offered him. It was truly wonderful and perhaps caused him to give away more than he should.
”Correct me if I am wrong, Lance; but you seem like a man of high intellect... A man used to using his brain...” Bearserk said as he stared into his cup a moment.. ”You don't seem to me like the kind of man that would follow Kemuri without doing his research, correct?”
Rosen had to look around to make sure this wasn’t a set up. Corporate politics played this all the time, befriend someone, get them to say something incriminating on tape, he had used this same policy countless times, he heard once someone was even caught committing treason on New Vegeta. The idiot.
With all that in mind Rosen chose his next words very carefully and hoped that the man would be able to read in between the lines.
“When I first came here, all I had heard was that Kemuri had defeated the Fuhrer King, and Kami. I had thought he must be a man of great power and would make a good ally, a partner. However when I got here and met Kemuri...He was not strong enough he could have taken even one of them in a straight fight. Nevermind if the two of them teamed up. And it was that moment I knew he would make a fantastic ally.”
He took a moment to grab another scotch from the shelf having finished off his glass and pour himself another round. Taking a sip he put the rest of the cup on the ground for the moment meeting Bearserk’s eyes.
“A strong ally can always be beaten, there is a saying that goes, there is always someone stronger, faster, better, someone training right now while you sleep, while you rest. And it’s true. A strong ally is only good so long as they are the strongest and that never lasts. However Kemuri was not the strongest. Oh he’s miles stronger than you or me at the moment. But no where near Kami or the exKing. Instead he found some way to outsmart them, and that’s the ally you truly want. Someone who knows how to use their brain and their power to their full advantage is someone you want to be on their side. Kemuri will face many who oppose him, who follow Kami’s old way that might makes right. But those people aren’t thinking. Kemuri provides so many more opportunities if you just take the time to see them.”
With that he’d pick up his glass again. Hoping Bearserk would understand the offer he had just made.

As Lance spoke, Bear could tell there was much more to the man than he led on. At this very moment, he was calculating, planning, strategizing; not unlike Bear himself. A smirk crossed his face as the man proceeded to grab a second bottle of scotch, filling his glass once more. Downing the rest of his own booze, Bear's eyes met the man's. The two were on the same page.
Grabbing the bottle, he'd pour himself another, listening to Lance continue. He was absolutely correct. It seemed that he might even be there for the same reasons Bear was. This pleased the dirty-brute; this man was the ally he wanted; the partner he needed. Sure, Bear didn't like Kemuri; but the hyena-man had proved his worth to Bear, just as he had to Lance. And Bear would be sure to milk the opportunity for everything it was worth.
As Lance finished, he picked his glass back up, a look in his eye that almost asked ”did you catch all that?” Nodding, Bear sipped from the scotch, ”You know, I served some time in the military when I was younger...” Bear seemed to change the subject, but he was just leading up to something...
”At first, they asked me what I could contribute, didn't want me to join; even before I looked like this. In three years,” holding up three fingers to elaborate, ”All recruits were required to pass a class that I taught; curriculum I had made. Many of those students are of the highest prestige now,” smiling, obviously reminiscing of the past, the man went silent for a second; he often got stuck in the past when he drank.
”When I was discharged; I thought my life had ended. All my training and skill down the drain. Sweet nectar of the gods, my only friend...” Raising his glass, he would take a sip, eying Lance to see how he was reacting to all this, ”But when I met Kemuri, I realized that a man with nothing to lose, is truly something to fear.” His statement would hopefully be what Lance had been looking for. He wanted Lance to know that he was the perfect ally.

Rosen finished his story and the hob-the man nodded to him. Appearances weren’t everything and this one was clearly deeper than he let on. Rosen could see he understood what was in front of him and smiled.
”You know, I served some time in the military when I was younger...” he said and Rosen turned to listen to him, much like his own story Rosen knew there was more to this than Bear let on at first.
”At first, they asked me what I could contribute, didn't want me to join; even before I looked like this. In three years, all recruits were required to pass a class that I taught; curriculum I had made. Many of those students are of the highest prestige now,”
Rosen tried to envision the man before him teaching classes for the military. He could almost picture him standing in front of a class, wearing a uniform but quick as that the vision was gone and the man who he had thought was homeless sat before him again.
”When I was discharged; I thought my life had ended. All my training and skill down the drain. Sweet nectar of the gods, my only friend...But when I met Kemuri, I realized that a man with nothing to lose, is truly something to fear.”
Rosen took a long pull of his scotch again trying to choose his words carefully. It was a wonder and a pleasure to have a conversation where meanings could be implied instead of said outright. He liked the brute but he seemed to come right out and say his intentions. It was a change of pace but it gave away too much. This had a layer of subtlety he had missed from Rosen Corp since he’d been in the palace.
Putting his glass down for the moment he looked the man Bearserk in the eyes. “I have recently spoken with Kemuri in regards to the mercenary and the woman who are also here in the palace. In exchange for my services and those of my company Kemuri is considering hiring them out to me for work. Rosen Corp is always in need of a few good men, people who can think for themselves, people who can act without needing orders to know what to do, people who won’t flinch when the first punch is thrown or shot fired. The problem is Rosen Corp is expanding faster than we can find a lot of these men. We need people of quality, far away from this civilization, opening new frontiers.” He paused for a moment his voice getting very serious. “Far away from the palace.”

Raising a brow at Lance's offer, Bear finished his drink; this time not pouring another glass. Setting the glass on the floor, he thought about what had just been asked of him. "Opening new frontiers, far away from the palace... He wondered if that was meant to stay on Earth, or if Mr. Rosen himself planned on expanding into the galaxy. Rosen Corp was not something Bear was familiar with, as far away from technology as he kept himself, but the offer was quite tempting none-the-less.
Taking a deep breath to fight through the intoxication, Bear thought through his words very carefully, "As of now, none of us are in a position to think of the future. We are at war, Lance; the present is where I must keep my focus, and I suggest you do the same. However, once this battle is over, and we have succeeded, I would be very interested in talking further with you about such things." Unknowing if the offer was an open-ended one, Bear hoped that he would not insult the man.
The truth was that Kemuri was forming an army; war was not something Bear was unfamiliar with and he knew the chances he'd come out alive. The best chances were to focus on the present, the now, and leave talks of future for the future. Devoting much focus to anything else now was as good as writing your own will, then pulling the trigger. First-hand Bear had seen such things happening many times.
"Lance, my friend... I have met Anri; fought him, and I know Mahajenn. As it stands, you and I are the only level-headed ones in this palace. I purpose an alliance: no matter the outcome, you and I draw no arms against each other. I can tell that the both of us need someone we can trust, someone that will have our backs," raising a brow in question, Bear extended a hand, "Do you honor my word, Lance?"
Lance was a man of business, he would know Bear was asking him to sign a verbal contract. Open for Rosen to add anything he'd like before closing the deal, Bear just hoped that this man's word was as good as his own. Their future would be bright, Bear offering his own services in the future in exchange for Rosen's now. Simple enough of an idea, but with the future so far away; and a war so close; Bear had to wonder just what might happen.

Bearserk looked at him and Rosen could sense the man struggling to find his sobriety. He wanted to answer Rosen’s offer genuinely. But the very first thing he said gave Rosen serious pause. None of us are in a position to consider the future?! There is always time to consider the future. Life isn’t a series or random events it is a game of chess. And in real life like in chess, insecurity bored him. You had to move decisively, that is why Rosen was here. After all power is a lot like real estate. It’s all about location, location, location. The closer you are to the source the higher your property value. And right now all the power on Earth ran through Kemuri.
Just because there was something as measily as a war coming doesn’t mean there wasn’t profit to be had, deals to be made and then Bearserk offered his own deal. Nonagression was far from the mindless support he had hoped for but it was a step moving forward. It was the first step in a long line hopefully. Extending his hand he shook with the filthy man.
“I would agree wholeheartedly to looking out for one another.” he said with a lifetime of practiced sincerity.
He felt no remorse trying to steal Kemuri’s resources from under him, if the best he could get was non-aggression for now he would work on Bearserk again after the battle. For now he had taken one of Kemuri’s knights away from him and put Bearserk to work watching his own back.
Still he would have to be wary of Bearserk, though the man for now seemed innocent enough, even willing to help, every kitten grows up to be a cat. They seem so harmless at first. Small, quiet, lapping up their saucer of milk. But once their claws get long enough, they draw blood. Sometimes from the hand that feeds them. For those climbing to the top of the food chain, there can be no mercy. There is but one rule: Hunt or be hunted.
If life was truly a chess game, as Rosen always insisted, he was well on his way to steeling Kemuri’s knight and making him his own. Knight to B5, Kemuri.
Check.

Smiling smugly, Bear was pleased with the conversation. Turning to the liquor shelves, he paced up and down before finding the perfect booze. Grabbing a few bottles, which he first pocketed, and one to share, a scotch rivaling that of the one Lance had been sipping, Bear took his place facing the man. Sitting hard on the floor; no longer wanting to stay standing, two bottles of wine, and about twenty shots of mixed liquor now coursing through his veins, he opened the bottle and filled his glass, not spilling a drop.
Handing the bottle to Mr. Rosen, he would raise his glass and offer a toast; the perfect way to celebrate and close such a grand proposition. Upon touching glasses, Bear would down most of the drink and run a hand through his beard. So much change in the world; so much good out of a bad situation. Maybe Bear would stay at Kemuri's side a bit longer; and milk it for all it was worth.
To Bear, the two seemed like peas in a pod. They were both smart, strategic; each with a set of skills complementing one-another. In the beginning, Bear had planned to betray Kemuri at the first chance he'd gotten; but that was very short-lived as things began sliding into place. Having Mr. Rosen on his side was a large factor, but he felt much the same way the business man did. Kemuri offered many opportunities, and he would take them. But such opportunities were only good until someone replaced him.
That someone, Bear hoped, might be him one day...
((Dunno where you wanna go with this... I am open to some drunken-sparring, if you are. Or we could end it and turn it in for grading. Whatever works for you.))

(I’m not gonna be here a lot for most of June so you mind wrapping it up? Each of us post one more time just to bring it to a close)
Rosen was already heavily buzzed so when the man whom he no longer thought of as the hobo came back with another bottle as fine as the one they had emptied earlier. Business had been booming ever since he first showed up at the castle.
He couldn’t have been more pleased with the way everything had turned out. A new ally, a partner who seemed capable of thinking for himself, it was a rare commodity these days. So when the man Bearserk came back and offered him a toast he gladly reached for his glass.
“To a new partnership, may it be long lasting and profitable for both parties.”
While it may seem like a tame toast that was actually some of the highest praise he knew how to give. Normally he wanted his alliances one sided. When he was done getting as much as he could he would discard them and leave them to fend for themselves. He could sense however this man wouldn’t be just another tool, another pawn on his board.
He was playing for himself, and together, they could both grow and benefit for years to come. Lifting his glass he clinked with the man and downed his glass in one pull to their new alliance.
“Yes. Let this be the beginning of something much much bigger.”

“To a new partnership, may it be long lasting and profitable for both parties,” Rosen's toast was bland, but it was not lost on Bear. Coming from a man of business, such a toast was one of celebration, of praise. Bear smiled, downing his drink along side the business-suited man. Both were obviously drunk, though neither would admit it; Bear especially.
“Yes. Let this be the beginning of something much much bigger,” Rosen continued. Bear nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly, ”Aye, Lance. But let such things begin after tomorrow, when the two of us can see straight again!”
Turning back to Mercy, whom Bear had forgotten about for the most part, he smiled, winking at her. Returning his gaze to Rosen, he whispered so only he could hear, ”You're not attached to your women over there, are you?” It had been a long while since Bear had had the company of woman, and even if she wasn't very good looking, Bear could no longer tell, he would be happy to have her.
Waiting for a response, Bear would stride over to her, and wrap an arm around her, pressing a finger to her lips, ”Come with me, beautiful. I'll make this a night you'll never forget.” Winking once more, he would wave a goodnight to Lance, and turn to retire for the night. Grabbing a nice bottle of wine and two glasses before he left, he would look at the man one last time over his shoulder, ”Glad we're on the same side, Lance. You have a goodnight, friend.”
And with that, Bear and Lance Rosen's secretary would vanish up the stairwell, and retire in his room; Bear forgetting just how bad he was with women for a night, his confidence enough to overcome all his untactful qualities. Of course he would shower before retiring to the room... And he would have to shower afterwards as well...
((Exit Bear. PL, please. Thanks for the awesome thread, Rosen. You have a great June. Haha))
