“I discovered this, my own mother among their victims which prompted me to confront them myself.” The woman on the screen said before the video paused.
“Play it again.” Nasu said in response. This time the screen jumped forward a little bit before again the woman began to speak.
“I was forced to deliver justice with my own hands.” she said and once again he pressed a button on the remote and the video froze. He stopped the video on a point where she was looking forward into the camera, into Nasu’s eyes. She didn’t look like a monster, she looked like his sister, the woman all his life he had wanted to connect with. The woman he had tried to reach out to, not once, but twice.
And both times she looked at him like he was scum.
“Play it again.” he said to the computer, this time though the video did not start again from the beginning. Instead the AI that ran his ship manifested itself in front of him. The hologram chose to appear as a tall balding man in a tailored suit. Looking around his ship Nasu realized the AI looked out of place, far too classy for the dump he lived in now.
Granted since he had heard the news his father was dead by his sisters hand he had let the ship fall into disrepair. Instead throwing out every piece of equipment that wasn’t vital so the ship could add on speed and not waste fuel carrying around extra tech. It left the ship looking ravaged, almost like it had been looted. But it had brought him home.
A little less than a full day after he had heard the news and he was only minutes away from his destination, his home.
Though his banishment had been admittedly brief it was still painful and the memory of the day his home was taken from him still hurt. His sisters ultimate betrayal. He had told her everything, he had been one hundred percent honest with her, believing she would see, she would care. Instead she had rejected him, just like the rest of his so called family. But it hadn’t ended there, she had assaulted him, almost killed him in her rage.
Only now did she learn that every word Nasu had spoken to her was true. Her mother was dead and now karma was coming home to roost.
“Play it again.” Nasu said turning to face the AI.
“I’m sorry sir but do you think that’s wise?” the ship asked concern tinging the machine’s voice.
“I said, play it again.” Nasu demanded not even bothering to stand up.
“It’s just that...you’ve already watched this non stop for the last 20 hours. Sir you haven’t even taken a pause to sleep.”
The speech would have been touching if it weren’t coming from a worthless computer program. This time Nasu did stand up, stepping forward till he was only inches away from the AI’s face.
“I own you.” he said his voice barely more than a whisper, “And if you don’t rewind the god damn tape and play it again, I will wait till we land on New Vegeta, invest in the largest magnet I can find, then inch by inch I will wipe that magnet over every damn computer you use to function in this whole damned ship. Now are you going to play it again or am I going to have to wipe you like a teenagers search history.” while his voice never rose above a whisper he could hear the rage building in his voice and he knew the ship had heard him.
“Yes sir.” the ship said as the AI disappeared and the video started again from the beginning.
”Brothers and sisters of New Vegeta, I must first assure you that you are all safe.” she said….
It was getting harder and harder for Nasu to keep control of his temper. Being honest he had always considered himself happy go lucky and he was the first to crack a joke, however more and more he was losing his temper. Causing injury or jumping to violence when it wasn’t necessary. He had begun to question himself before he heard his sisters message.
“I was forced to deliver justice with my own hands.” the screen said but Nasu didn’t hear it, he was a million miles away in his mind. It didn’t matter he could recite it all from memory by now anyways. In his head he was back on New Vegeta, he was in the tent surrounded by his father, his brothers, Akassa. He told her who he was, what her family had done to him. And she responded by trying to kill him.
“Sir I feel obliged to inform you that you’re still a banished on pain of death from New Vegeta. I know I can’t convince you to turn the ship around but would you at least consider not landing in the main space port. The area was just attacked you’ll be noticed the second you land.” the AI said over the ship’s speakers this time not manifesting a physical body in front of him.
“No.” Nasu said firmly. “I want to be seen. Take us down.”
“In that case, we will be hitting the atmosphere in one minute you should brace for landing.” the ship said it’s tone defeated.
Nasu left the video running as he buckled his seat ignoring it again as his home planet came into view. He could see Earth as well but it was of no concern to him at the moment. The planet had always hung over the saiyan’s heads, so much larger, so much better, so much easier to live on. But that was never the saiyan way, they didn’t want easy to live on. And the small desolate rock was truly their home.
Finally the ship pulled in and he was home. It was silent as the doors opened except for his sister’s speech playing on endless loop in the background. That all changed when he took the first step out the door however.
Apparently Queen Natisha had been thorough in letting the guards know what he looked like. She must have been convinced he would come back some day. Still if she was so convinced she should have put stronger guards protecting the space port. The two who recognized him were dead on the ground far before they could raise the alarm their necks snapped at a brutal 180 degree angle.
Nasu didn’t say anything as he stepped foot once again on his home planet he didn’t need to. Instead he took the remote in his hand and he turned up the volume on his sisters speech to the point where it could be heard throughout the entire port. It was almost deafening, but each word sent new waves of anger lacing through him.
Nasu used the anger as fuel, reaching inside himself for the new well of power. It took more effort than he thought but eventually he found it, his power exploding around him turning his aura a bright gold, sending his hair standing on end, and once again electrifying the air around him. And still he said nothing.
His power level was by far the largest on New Vegeta easily sensible miles away. Even though his sister had no natural gift for sensing energy like he did there was no way she wouldn’t be able to sense his energy. She would come to investigate herself, and when she did...

Akassa had noticed her brother’s approach before his ship had even set down within her kingdom. While she did not actively scan the stars for others a power level that sat at just over 100,000 was no common thing. As his ship entered the thin atmosphere that lined their mutual home planet her natural senses had picked him up, the signature familiar to the newly crowned Queen. In the palace she sat and waited as his ship descended towards what was left of the space port, the area already undertaking repairs to get it operational as soon as possible. Curious to see what he might do since she had invited him back, the Queen not aware that her announcement had actually been what prompted his return, her eyes widen some when the two signatures that were nearest to him wink out. What occurred next shocked her to an even greater degree. Nasu’s power shot up to over one million, raising to a level that Tsuyo himself had not been capable of. Blinking she knew she could not let this play out any longer.
Snorting some Akassa rises to her feet. The loss of the two guards was something she would not normally excuse, any attack on the Saiyan people was an act against her, but she saw the grander picture in this scenario. Her reason for inviting him back to New Vegeta was so that he could live here as he had always deserved, as a royal. Like her he was half blooded, his royalty something Akassa had recently confirmed with her new access to the Dark Siders group of soldiers. His mother had been murdered as well, another crime of Natisha’s that until not had remained hidden. Perhaps if he was to learn the truth and to see how similar the two of them actually were, he would serve her as she had served her family for so long. Such an outcome was even more desirable now, this new level of power he had reached something she had not predicted. Taking to the air the Queen blasts off towards the port, not wanting another Saiyan life to be lost at the hands of her half brother. Two deaths was going to be hard enough to explain, anymore might make the situation unsalvageable.
As she first leaves the compound her silver aura trails behind her, but that did not remain. Able to sense Nasu’s power through her natural senses and read the impressive number from the screen of her scouter, Akassa was well aware she could not contain him in her current state. Her brother thought himself powerful; she would show him what true power was. With a battle cry and sheer force of will Akassa activates her Super Saiyan form, her aura shifting to a blazing golden hue as her power shoots up to close to her maximum. With the new power fueling her flight it did not take long for the female to reach the port, the city of New Vegeta not that vast to begin with. As she drew near, her keen eyes note the similar aura that her brother sported, Nasu having attained the same ascended state as her. Still a small smirk curled onto her lips. He may have achieved Super Saiyan as well, but she could tell he was still weaker than her. No one could match Akassa Hattori.
Dropping from the sky, the Queen lands a dozen or so yards from Nasu, her calm eyes looking to him from across the damaged port. From this distance she clearly heard her own voice echoing out of the speakers of his ship, the speech she had given just recently about the changes that were coming to New Vegeta. The two bodies on the ground, her soldier’s necks twisted to grotesque angles, only made Akassa’s stare harden. With Nasu standing before her, his power close to rivaling hers, she shrugs off her weighted jacket. As the heavy garment hits the floor her power spikes to its true maximum so that her brother would fully understand what it was he was up against. If he had thought the punch she had thrown at him during the war council hurt, he was in for a world of pain if he chose to attack her.
”So this is how you accept my invitation to return home, with murder? Regardless of your anger for me, killing others only argues against your return. Should I have left you in exile?” Not taking her eyes from him now she was ready, unsure if he planned to come at her right here and now. Her hope was that if he wished to come at her, Nasu might see clearly enough to move from the populated area. Even Akassa, in her rage when confronting Tsuyo and Natisha, had kept the fighting to the royal compound. Leke may have been a casualty of that conflict, but the body count would have been atrociously high had the fight made its way to the streets. Despite her harsh words the Queen looked to solve this without the loss of life, but if her brother could not be reasoned with she would have no choice but to eliminate him. Convincing him to join her was what she wanted, but protecting New Vegeta was what mattered the most. He could sense her approaching. Her power growing as she came nearer, it brought a grim smile to his face; she had accepted his invitation. He knew what he had to do but it didn’t make it any easier, she was family. Still he knew her power was no where near his own. He would make this mercifully quick.
Then in an instant everything changed. Her power level shot up rivaling his own and he smiled more genuinely. This wouldn’t have been nearly as rewarding finishing it instantly. Now it would be a fair fight. They would truly see who was the strongest Hattori, the true heir to the Hattori name. Though Nasu had to admit he had no interest in the throne he wouldn’t let his “sister” take her place there without a fight either. She hadn’t earned the throne simply by killing her parents, if anything she had shown her weakness. Nasu had told her, he had told her everything and she rejected it.
Then to go and cry later, to claim oh I never knew what they were capable of! To continue to serve them for weeks, after she was told the truth was disgraceful. The Saiyan Ruler needed to ACT on information not just sit their with their thumb up their --.
Nasu’s thoughts were cut off as his sister landed a few feet away from him, her golden hair matching his own, except for the sole lock of hair she had long ago dyed red, the Hattori colors. Ironic all those years it was the only association with the Hattori family colors she was ever permitted and now after her ascension and their murder it still remained.
Still as his sister landed the grin that had been playing earlier fell from his face. Regardless of how happy he was to be home, or how pleased he was that this would be a fair fight this was not a happy reunion. He had come with a purpose in mind, and the more honest he was the more he had to admit, his goal wasn’t even to kill his sister. He needed to test her, to show her the error of her ways. To-
For the second time in the last few minutes she cut off his train of thought. This time it was as she dropped her weighted jacket to the ground. Nasu felt her power spike far beyond his own and for a brief moment his eyes widened in shock. That moment would be all she would see however, as his eyes hardened in rage again. He knew the chances of him winning were now next to none but he was a true saiyan despite his half blood, he had his pride and he would never back down from the fight after calling her out like this.
Akassa took a moment to look at the bodies of the men he had killed. Claiming she had summoned him back from exile. As if it had been her choice which brought him back. And going so far as to judge him after everything she had done.
“You’re one to talk sister. Tell me again how Leke died?” it was a leap of faith but one that made sense. He knew there was no reason for Tsuyo to kill Leke, if anything he would have died protecting his true son, and Natisha...while she wouldn’t have died for him or anyone else in his mind would never harm one of her own children. That only left Akassa…
Before she had a chance to answer, the recording reset and began to play again this time Nasu parroting every word having easily memorized them all.
“King Tsuyo Hattori and the Queen, Natisha Hattori had been taking the people of New Vegeta as fools for quite some time.” he said in perfect time with her own voice over the loudspeakers.
“Behind closed doors and in the shadows they murdered civilians and visitors, extinguished innocent lives in order to cover up their own mistakes.” his own rage began to grow as he parrotted her words. HIS words.
“I discovered this, my own mother among their victims which prompted me to confront them myself.” finally it was too much. With his psychokinesis he reached out and crushed his own ship as easily as he would a beer can. And the sound system abruptly cut off.
“When I demanded justice they looked to silence me as they thought themselves above our own laws.” he said looking her square in the eyes the spaceport now deathly quiet.
“Sound familiar?” he said a crooked cynical grin spreading across his face. But there was no joy behind the smile, only anger.
“I told you!” he shouted “Every single word you announced to the galaxy, to planets far and wide. Every word I told you and how do you respond. To deny it, to answer my words with violence! I show you the truth and you attempted to kill me!” Nasu was in the heat of the moment but he had his senses out extended waiting for any sign that Akassa was prepared to strike him, but instead he felt something surprising. Dozens if not hundreds of other far smaller powers sources all around him. They were cowering behind crates, hiding behind walls all hoping to avoid what they knew was to come. He realized for the first time where they where in the middle of a crowded space port, in a heavily populated city, full of the last of his own people. All hoping not to become the next victims of the Hattori family rage. Taking a deep breathe he calmed himself but only for the barest of moments.
“This isn’t the place for this.” he said and without another word, without waiting for any kind of response from her he took off into the air. He didn’t look back to see if she was following him as that would be a sign of weakness. He knew she could easily outpace him, to cut him off and attack, or strike him while his back was turned. But that would only prove further she had no right to be Queen.
He had no true chance of beating her in a fight but still he hoped for better from her and even through his rage that was where he put his faith. In that she would show him she was more than just mindless violence and it was for that reason he took off to the edges of New Vegeta, to the edge of the livable section of their terraformed planet. To the next set of people the bastard Tsuyo and his wife had framed.
Nasu took off to the only place he had ever called home. Moments later he landed softly in a destroyed camp far from any civilization where there would be collateral damage.
Looking around at the shattered buildings and bloodied walls he sighed, more resolved than ever. There would be no more collateral damage here, because Akassa had already made sure to kill any surviving members of the Red Flag camp.

The mantle of Queen often changes those that assume it. Akassa had always been a hot headed individual, the standard for the better part of her race. Throughout her years her aggressive attitude had directed her towards the up close and personal fighting style she was so adept at now. Beyond those that were part of the Hattori line, and not even always them, she had been abrasive towards others. Even the friendly Conri Lane had earned her wrath for a flirtatious gesture that most would have probably taken lightly. She had giving him multiple puncture wounds instead. Even her ascension to the throne had been through violence, the previous King and Queen executed with her own hands. That was not to say it was not justified, but only more evidence of her naturally violent nature. Until then her main philosophy with threats was to attack first and ask questions later if her foes survived. Nasu knew better than most, having been the direct target of her explosive personality. He might not have realized it yet, but the Akassa that stood before him was not the same woman who had slugged him across the face during the war council, she had changed. Did that mean Natisha had once been different, perhaps not as cold hearted as she had become?
The thought almost made the Queen chuckle.
No, there would forever be a difference between Akassa and Natisha. The previous Queen had done so much simply for the sake of her own pride, and while Akassa was not devoid of a prideful streak she would not take lives simply to feed it. This truly was a new age for New Vegeta and Nasu might be one of the first to actively take part in it. That was assuming he did not throw his life away simply to prove his point.
The first words from his mouth would have had the old Akassa already beating him into the ground, but despite how much they stung at her she does not lash out at him. Instead she stands before him as he asks of Leke’s fate. All he need do was listen to the recording that played from his ship, and then he would know just like everyone else that Leke had been caught up in something far beyondwhat he was capable of handling. There had been no desire within Akassa to take the younger Hattori’s life, but he had gotten in the way. Her kinetic blast had been meant to remove him from the area completely; it had just proven too powerful for his body to withstand. Akassa did not exactly regret doing it, yet if there was some way to undo it…she would.
Still silent the Queen listens as her brother parrots her own words, mocking her for the truth’s she revealed to the galaxy and the actions she had taken against the King and Queen. The boy did not realize how similar the two of them were. He had tried to warn her, she could never deny that nor deny how poor her judgment had been that day. Yet, Nasu did not realize one major difference between the two of them. He had known about the murder of his mother for most of his life, training and preparing for the day he might confront Tsuyo and take his revenge. She had been betrayed in the same manor, but on top of it all their father had lied to her for years. Countless years had been spent defending and serving those closest to her and those that had betrayed her. Nasu had always known the truth of it all while Akassa had been made a fool for two decades. Blindly she had served her mother’s murderers and had based her whole system of honor and discipline on lies. When she had discovered the truth she had lost more than a mother that day, she had lost everything she had believed in for the majority of her life. She planned to make him understand, even if she had to beat it into him.
Without warning Nasu crushes his ship, her brother apparently having extended his skills into that of psychokinesis. Raising his voice as he continues, now speaking on his own instead of reciting her speech to her. As his voice elevated and his words grew more heated she wondered if he might attack her right here and now. The destruction of his ship implied he did not plan to be leaving anytime soon. Ready for him if he chose to come at her Akassa keeps her eyes on him. With a moment of silence passing between them she was soon relieved to hear his next words, the boy not wanting a fight to break out so close to a populated area. Giving her no chance to respond he launches off the ground and away, heading away from the port. Golden aura flickering around her she glances around at the brave individuals that peek up at his sudden departure. They would be safe now.
Taking off after him, eyes fixed forward as she locks onto his similar golden aura, the Queen was now unsure what he wanted. At first it had seemed he wanted a fight, yet he had not attacked her. The notion of talking everything out was a ridiculous one for he could have contacted her through a comm line if that is what he wished. Tailing him all the way to the outskirts of the city and beyond, Akassa sets down as he does, among what remained of a camp. Knowing the layout of her home world quite well she knew where they were, the old home of the Red Flag organization. She had not destroyed it herself, but knew it had been taken out the same day Nasu had been banished. Touching down barely ten feet away from him the Queen levels her stare at him a moment before speaking.
”Leke ‘s death was an unfortunate event. I tried to warn him that he was endangering himself, just as I will warn you now. If you take another life I will take yours.” Akassa’s voice was calm and completely serious, the Queen then allowing a short pause before continuing. ”You did tell me Nasu, you attempted to show me the truth about the King and Queen. Did you honestly expect me to react any differently? My life has been spent in the service of the crown and I was supposed to take the word of a man I barely knew over them? I was wrong, I can admit that, but you have to see that interaction from my perspective. I was lead to believe a false truth my entire life; until I heard it from their mouths I was still unsure. Tell me Nasu, who do you think killed your mother?” From what she had seen in the recording Natisha had shown them and what she had heard from Nasu’s own mouth, Akassa figured he thought Tsuyo was the one to murder his mother, or at least give the order. While their father had taken part in covering the act up, he was not solely responsible.

His sister, the Queen followed him which he found to be a good sign. She didn’t use the opportunity to attack him from behind which he had honestly placed as a fifty fifty chance. Out of all his siblings he had known the least about Akassa. It wasn’t for lack of trying but he ran into Ninjin many times as they were both growing up and had fought together, bonded together.
Akassa and Leke he had only met once before and out of the two of them Leke had been the far kinder. Where his younger brother seemed more trusting Akassa had regarded him with suspicion and disdain. While neither had exactly opened up to him the way his eldest brother had Leke at least seemed more like him. Happy go lucky and easy to like. His sister had struck him as constantly business like and just as likely to put a knife in his chest as accept his help.
Luckily the three of them had survived their first encounter but she had just killed off a brother she knew all her life for getting in her way. It wasn’t a stretch in his mind to think she’d kill off someone who she had only met twice, and the only other living person who knew what she had done.
Still the moment passed and Nasu and Akassa landed in what was left of the Red Flag camp without her striking him from behind and he let out a small sigh. If this came to a fight he would have a hard enough time keeping up as it was, never mind if she got the jump on him. He tried not to let it show but his shoulders relaxed ever so slightly when they landed and she was again standing in front of him.
His anger returned full force a minute later as he once again saw the destruction of a place he had considered his home. He knew it wasn’t the Universal Church that had done this to him. For all their talk the church had never been able to take anyone he cared about, they weren’t strong enough. The Hattori family however. They’d taken everything from him.
Before Nasu had a chance to control his emotions Akassa began to talk. She was blunt, but he didn’t feel like she was lying to him either. She explained why Leke had died, he had brought it upon himself. Then, after openly admitting to murdering her own family because they got in the way, something he considered the same crime Tsuyo had committed when killing Nasu, and Akassa’s mothers she had the nerve to threaten him. If HE killed anyone else. HA!
He raised a hand cutting her off. He knew this could send her into a rage but he was beyond caring.
“The day I found out Tsuyo killed my mother, do you know what he said to me?” he asked meeting her glare. “He said sometimes sacrifices must be made. I take it Leke was one of those sacrifices. He died in the name of justice? Revenge? Does it matter? He died so you could rise to power. Tell me honestly one sibling to another, how is that any different than what Tsuyo did?” he paused for a moment to collect his thoughts but his efforts were in vain as a moment later she did something wholly unexpected. She admitted he was right.”
“”You did tell me Nasu,” she said a moment later. “You attempted to show me the truth about the King and Queen.” and with that his jaw dropped. He had expected more rage, more anger from her. Not acceptance, not admitting the truth so easily. Before he could gather his thoughts into a coherent thought she continued. “Did you honestly expect me to react any differently?” she asked, no she demanded and for the first time, Nasu wasn’t sure. He had gone in so righteous, so full of purpose. He had been cornered in the War Council, Natisha had outmaneuvered him masterfully and he honestly felt admitting to everything, putting all the cards face up on the table would help. But why should a woman he had only ever met once believe him? Her next words only further confirmed that line of thought.
“My life has been spent in the service of the crown and I was supposed to take the word of a man I barely knew over them?” she continued. “I was wrong, I can admit that, but you have to see that interaction from my perspective. I was lead to believe a false truth my entire life; until I heard it from their mouths I was still unsure.” And with that he felt his rage slipping a little. He could see it from her perspective, he was right damn it! But he understood. The aura around him began to flicker with tinges of red interlocking with the gold. While his hair and his eyes stayed transformed the rage that had fueled his ascension was draining from him, slowly being replaced with quiet dejection.
So many people had died for their family, for the family name. He had grown up knowing the realities of his family where as Akassa had probably always believed she was special. She was raised in the palace, she was raised to believe she was a true Hattori. Unlike him she had no reason to ever doubt Tsuyo. Until she did.
“I understand it.” he said finally not meeting her eyes anymore. “I understand why you did it. I understand where your perspective came from. But you were my only family. The only one who could possibly understand. Ninjin…” he paused looking around wildly as if searching for the right words. “Ninjin, has been groomed since he was born to be the King, he was born knowing he was special, knowing his place in the universe. Leke was pampered, he was born to the life of luxury servants fawning over him since he was an infant. No expectations of leadership but still a true Hattori to the bone. But you,” he said looking up and pointing right at her. “You were like me. Born a bastard, denied the honor that should have been yours by birth. Denied even the right to the family colors the way I was always denied the family name. Out of everyone I needed for you to understand. And instead…” all the energy he had a moment before, the vibrant emotion he displayed as he was talking vanished as he thought back to it. “You responded to my pleas for help with violence. To my truth with rage. I might not have expected you to believe but I expected you to think!” he said finally.
He had expected something from her next, some clever defense, some justification, a lie anything he could use to justify his rage further. Instead what he got was a question that only led to confusion for him. Still meeting his eyes she asked. “Tell me Nasu, who do you think killed your mother?” and for a moment he almost laughed.
“Tsuyo of course.” he said with the confidence of someone who had never questioned a fact. The same confidence she had just been speaking of earlier when she said she had trusted her own family. “He was the one who showed me her body. He was the one who told me why she died!” he was shouting now. He didn’t want to hear anything else. It had to be Tsuyo, he had devoted his entire life to the idea that it was Tsuyo. Nasu had been found unworthy and thus Tsuyo killed his mother. That was how it happened. He had built his entire life around that one immutable fact. “He killed her because I was unworthy.”

Keeping her temper level Akassa could not help it as her eyes narrow when he speaks of Leke’s death as if he was present for it, as if he had seen within her heart that day. Part of her wanted to slap him for his insolence, she was Queen now and he was going to grow to respect that. Even now he seemed to speak so highly of Ninjin so why did he not give her the same praise? No one had even given her the respect she had needed, but that was no longer going to be the case. She would be shown respect or she would force it from others. An individual did not have to kneel when they met her if they did not choose. When she was done with them though they would be kneeling, paying respect to the powerful ruler that stood before them. Nasu was no different he was going to act as all the others if she had to…no, she couldn’t lash out at him. Regardless of his ignorance he was family, potentially the only family she had left so she needed to be patient with him.
Letting him talk some more Akassa did not so rudely interrupt him as he did her. Instead she let him speak, let him ramble on about what he thought was the truth and how much it had hurt him when she had not listened to him during the war council. Did the fool not understand why she had personally called him back to New Vegeta? That hook had been a mistake and she had already admitted that, what more did he want from her? As he answered her final question she slowly shakes her head, the boy having been even more mislead then he realized. Tsuyo had not been the one to kill his mother; it had been done on Natisha orders. The King had only arrived to confirm the woman’s death and for whatever reason lead Nasu to believe it had been him. When he was finally done talking she speaks, planning on clearing it all up for him.
”Do not speak to me of Leke’s death. I was there when he died, you were not. He was no sacrifice…only an unexpected cost of my throne. That is the truth of how our brother died. I will share with you another truth Nasu. Tsuyo did not kill your mother. He took part in covering it up, but it was Natisha that ordered her execution, just the same as my mother. All these years you directed your wrath solely at the King when you should have been focused on the Queen, both of which you saved during the attack on New Vegeta.
As for you understanding of my perspective it seems you do not. You claim to see things from my eyes, yet you are stuck on the past. I already admitted my reaction during the war council was wrong, but I cannot undo it. I also apologize for stealing whatever revenge you hoped to take, but you had your chance. All I can do now is strive to better our relationship in the future. Why do you think I called you here Nasu? I wanted you to come back to New Vegeta so that we might get a better understanding of one another, after all we are siblings. Regardless of how I became Queen the fact remains I am queen now and that gives me power. With that power I intend to bring our people back to the glory they deserve. Tell me Nasu, have you never desired to live in the palace with all of the privileges your last name is entitled too? I am prepared to offer you that brother, but only if you can look beyond your petty distaste for my actions in the past. Together we can again bring glory and power to the Hattori name.”
There it was, the real reason she had sent a message for him to return home. Whether he had actually received the transmission or not was now irrelevant. Nasu was back on New Vegeta and his older sister was Queen. His past transgressions against the crown no longer mattered and he had the chance to start his life anew. For years he had lived on the streets, no place to call home beyond the Red Flag organization, and now she offered him a place in the palace. With their combined power there was no force that could stand against them, no ruler in the Universe that would not bend to their will. Akassa planned to restore the Saiyan race to its ancient glory and he could be part of it, if only he chose to forgive her for not believing him when she should have. The choice was up to him.

Nasu stood feet away from his sister his jaw dropped, an unexpected cost. Was that all a Hattori life was now? A spread sheet in the Queen’s mind, value to the crown vs inconvenience your life caused? He had felt that way about Natisha, but he had hoped Akassa wasn’t going to repeat her mother’s sins.
Above all else Leke had been a good person, that much seemed apparent from the few times he had ever seen the boy. Both times he had seen his youngest brother Leke had been determined to do the right thing whatever it may be whatever the cost to himself. Had that trait finally gotten him killed?
“At what point is the cost too high?” he whispered, he wasn’t sure if Akassa could hear it. He didn’t care, he said it more to himself thinking of the chance HE had had to kill Tsuyo. Nasu had put his family’s life above revenge but that’s because he had years to cope with it. He had accepted the facts and his revenge became a more methodical, patient thing rather than heat of the moment rage and shock he had felt upon seeing his mother initially. If Kass really had her own mother’s murder sprung on her the way she was describing he could understand the anger that flowed through her. He too would snap, and he didn’t know if anything would stop him, if any price would be too high to pay.
With that in mind he bit his tongue against further outbursts. He tried to truly listen and not just burst into a rage over what she was saying. Not let his bias influence everything he heard. And for the first time he heard what he had come for. His sister had apologized for her actions. What more did he want from her? His aura stopped glowing golden entirely, it fell back to it’s normal red hue still flaring around him wildly, his hair was golden and his blue eyes remained, but his power began to subside as his rage fell as her words sank in. She wanted to offer him a family, to let him finally be one of them. A true Hattori.
Nasu stood frozen for a moment. There was a catch something he was missing. He paused for a moment, really trying to think about what she had said. There was something…
Tsuyo...His aura snapped golden around him again, electricity began to spark all around him as his power once more shot up to match his rage. Nasu took control of the electricity that flowed around him forming it into a solid barrier in front of him.
Wordlessly he charged at his sister in a flash the electrical barrier still in front of him electrocuting anything it would touch. If the queen was caught off guard the shield would fry her where she stood. He wouldn’t follow up his attack however having more need for answers than her death.
“What do you mean Tsuyo didn’t kill my mother!” he would shout. “I was there! He showed me her corpse! He told me she was a sacrifice!” he didn’t believe her. He couldn’t believe her, but still. How could he come here, call her out for not listening to him at the War Council. For showing her hard truths that countered things she had believed in all her life. And then when she had done the same, how could he not believe her? She was family...
His power would drop instantly as he fell to his knees. Not only was his golden aura gone but his aura entirely as his hair transformed back to it’s pitch black shade his changed back to dark green.
Everything he had ever believed was a lie. He let that sink in for a moment.
“I let her live…” he whispered lost in the memory oblivious to what his sister was doing now. “I SAVED her. The woman who killed my mother, the one actually responsible for her death...and I saved her life. How can I ever life with myself, how can my mother ever find peace….”
His words trailed off as his eyes lost focus, gazing off somewhere into the middle distance.
“What have I done?”

Again Akassa gave him time, slipping her weighted jacket back on as she does, knowing that this was a lot for him to digest. The revelation that their father was not the one to have directly taking his mother’s life was no doubt hard to swallow. From what she knew about him the boy had used that as motivation for his entire life, the sole purpose he had grown so strong was to challenge Tsuyo and avenge his mother. Even if his target should not have been solely the King, but the Queen as well, Akassa had taken them both from him. She understood that she had stolen his revenge, but she had no choice. How was she to know if he was ever going to return to New Vegeta to confront them? On top of that she had not exactly been in control of herself when she first ascended, the rage that burned deep within her more in control than conscious thought. Emotion had led her to attack them all so recklessly, just as emotion was about to direct Nasu to attack her.
Not having lowered her guard completely, still in her Super Saiyan form, Akassa had relaxed a little as he seemed to be powering down. Whether it was meant to fool her from the start or a representation of his shifting emotions, the decrease in his power caught her flat footed when he charged. Faster than him the Queen lifts her arms to defend against a strike, expecting him to lead with a frontal assault. Instead a wave of electrical energy hits her as Nasu pulls up short. Even with her strength advantage such a powerful electrical charge was not something she could shrug off or swat aside, the shock lancing through her body. Her teeth clench as every muscle in her body tightens for a moment before the charge exits her. With a slight groan she staggers a step but manages to stay on her feet, expecting a fist across the jaw any moment. It never came though, the perfect chance for a combination of attacks ignored as he assails her with words instead.
Fingers twitching as she gains control of her body Akassa narrows her eyes at him as he questions what she just told him. Her words had been the truth, as hard as they were to swallow, they were what had happened. Her brother’s anger had driven him to attack her, but now his despair had dropped him to his knees. Golden aura blinking out Nasu was completely exposed to any attack Akassa wished, payback for the painful shock he had just sent her way. Stepping forward with far superior speed her mechanical arm reaches down to grab the front of his shirt. With ease she lifts him from the ground as he mumbles to himself, giving him a rough shake so that his eyes might meet hers. Stern blue pools met his dark green ones, her brow still slightly furrowed as she holds him aloft. She was angry at him, that much was obvious, but it was not because he had attacked her. Instead his older sister was displeased with the weakness he displayed; ready to reprimand him for it. Yet…she didn’t have the heart to yell.
”Natisha ordered your mother’s death, just as she did mine. Do not mistake my words as sympathy for our father. He knew what she was doing to those he spent his nights with and with all his power did nothing to prevent it. He may have not taken your mother’s life with his own hands, but he was just as guilty.” The Queen gives him another shake to make sure he was still listening. ”Do you think weeping on your knees is what will give your mother peace? When I took Natisha’s life I did it to deliver justice to all she had wronged. It may feel as if I have stolen your vengeance, but what I did I did for us brother. All of those that Natisha murdered have been avenged.” Akassa finishes as she starts to lower him back to his feet.
Akassa and Nasu had not spent much time together, but through blood and the way their father had wronged them both she felt a bond with the boy. Trying her best to understand him she truly desired to give him a spot at her side, to allow him the position that was his birthright. She also wished to help him move beyond the sorrow that gripped his heart so that he might reach his full potential and not drowned in despair. Akassa had dealt with such emotions the same way her entire life, with overwhelming anger. As his boots make contact with the ground she releases his shirt.
”Now, get over it like a Saiyan should. Hit me.”

“What have I done?” he said again as visions of his mother circled his memory like vultures. Each act of kindness would swoop in tearing off bits of his flesh as he remembered her corpse, each kind word she had said to him burned as he realized the woman he saved was responsible for her death. He envisioned Natisha standing tall, proud over her kill. Before it had always been Tsuyo, intimidating in the height of his power that had prevented revenge. But it seemed Natisha was smart. Even without trying she had used the mask of Tsuyo’s other worldly power to shield herself, had Nasu only known it was her who was responsible for his pain, his suffering he would have killed her years ago...he could have killed her...he could have let her die...he saved her...and again the vultures circled his mind tearing him to pieces in an endless loop.
Without any warning he was standing, his body was limp however, and he didn’t remember this being a conscious decision. Some outside force shook him, and his body rag dolled, however, ever so slowly his mind came back from the brink. It wasn’t the shock of being shaken however, it was her eyes. His sister’s eyes.
As she shook him their eyes locked, people have believed for millennia that the eyes are the window to the soul. If you look into a strangers eyes one of two things will happen, they’ll look away without even realizing it, or they’ll challenge you, it’s the same with animals, staring into the eyes set of something primal inside humans, animals and saiyans alike. But there’s a reason behind it.
When you look into someone’s eyes you can see a part of them, and while people can hide their true feelings behind a mask of indifference, or act a certain way, their eyes always tell the truth. In his sister’s he saw his own rage, his own resolution and determination, but beyond that he saw compassion. Compassion for the brother she didn’t know she had, and had only met twice.
Her words brought him back from the brink fully. Don’t have sympathy for Tsuyo. The man wasn’t worth it. His sister, no the Queen spoke the truth. He had the power, the power to change lives, to change decisions, to alter orders. Instead he led these women on then did nothing as they were killed. While he didn’t order it himself, he had done nothing. And all that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Nasu would not do nothing.
He would fight for good, he would fight for New Vegeta, for Akassa. He would not be like his father. Anything that stood in the way would be mercilessly crushed. For the greater good his pity died that moment. Taking control of himself he hovered a few feet back while she continued to speak. All those who Natisha murdered have been avenged...did that mean his mother could finally rest in peace, he could stop tormenting himself with her ghost? For a brief moment he closed his eyes, a silent prayer to whatever god was out there, whatever god listened to orphans and sinners. Opening his eyes he met the Queen’s gaze again. Slowly he raised his right hand balling it into a fist and placing it over his heart. Nasu had never been a member of the military choosing instead to join a merc group when he was younger rather than fight for his father’s armies. But still the symbol was common enough, it was a salute, a sign of respect, of loyalty.
“He isn’t worth sympathy.” Nasu said calmly still meeting Akassa’s eyes. As he landed on the ground she spoke her final words.
”Now, get over it like a Saiyan should. Hit me.” she said and for a moment there was a shocked silence. He had expected her to say something along the lines of man up, but to offer to fight him. Nasu looked around at his broken home, the camp that had housed him for the last four years of his life. He wasn’t able to protect them, he needed to be stronger, faster, better.
His golden aura fired up around him again and for the third time in a matter of minutes he ascended, transformed into a super saiyan, his golden hair and light blue eyes making the pair look like true siblings.
“Be careful what you wish for sister.” Nasu said with a smirk. Quick as he could Nasu would launch an energy blast at his sister with one hand and one at the ground right in front of her with the other hoping to kick up a cloud of dust.
If his sister stayed put he would charge obscured by the dust. He would use his telekinesis to bring her tail to his hand, and he would use his momentum to grab her tail and whip her forward into a crumbling wall behind her.

The grin that took shape on Akassa’s face was a genuine one. Her words had gotten through to her brother and he now seemed to understand the opportunity he was being offered. Tsuyo, Natisha and their pasts were behind them both. As unfortunate and full of heartache they had been there was no reason to dwell. The two Hattori children that now stood eye to eye possessed the power to shape their own futures, no longer bound by their unlawful parents. Both of them had ascended to legendary status in already having achieved Super Saiyan. Not even Tsuyo, who had always been stronger than them both, was able to reach this level and he had lived into his forties. Akassa was 21 and her brother 16, yet here they stood as two of the most powerful beings in the known Universe. Nothing would be able to stop them.
Setting him back down her eyes remained on his, her unwavering stare matched by one of his own. At nearly the same height and same power due to her weighted clothing, the two stood as equals…almost. Nasu was her brother, her flesh and blood, but she was still Queen. While her words had been true when she stated she wanted him to stand at her side and reap the rewards that someone with his name deserved, she had not exactly meant as her equal. As it stood she was stronger and she was Queen, something a proud warrior like Nasu might not be able to swallow. Thankfully, whether his young age or the fact she was his sister, Nasu crossed his arm over his chest in salute. His knees remained unbent and that was fine, for the respect conveyed as his fist thudded against his chest was plenty enough for her. He was granted privilege above all else, but he knew she was in charge. After all she was the ruler of New Vegeta.
Bringing her even more pleasure, her final words are well received by her brother as he powers back up into his ascended state. The grin she wore only widens at his response, the statement her only warning before he comes at her.
At such close range she was not able to dodge the blast, her arms instead coming up to cross in front of her and take the brunt of the hit. At almost the same time the ground before her bursts apart from the power of his second blast, the Queen is pelted with dirt and rocks. Experienced enough to know what he intended with the second blast she attempts to hop backwards as her arms remain up to fend off the assault she expected to follow. Creatively her brother targets her tail instead; the golden appendage yanked forward by what she could only assume was telekinesis. A strong hand soon replaces the mental grip with a much firmer one before she is yanked right off her feet. Had her tail not been trained to handle such stress it would have left her in quite a vulnerable state should he have chosen to maintain his grip.
Sent flipping through the air Akassa slams through the remnants of a wall, dirt and stone tumbling down around her as she hits the ground and goes rolling through the dirt. The toss having gotten her dirty more than anything she is quick to recover as her legs kick off the ground, flipping her up into the air to land gracefully on her feet. Arms snapping out to the side, golden energy pours down from her shoulders to encase them both in gauntlets as she activates her Ha-Ken.
Her instruction to hit her had been more than to provide a conduit for his anger and more than a test to see what it was he was truly capable of. Akassa firmly believed that fighting someone was the best way to get to know them. Those she considered herself closest to at this point in her life, Ezekiel, Conri and Celeh had squared off against her multiple times. Through combat one could truly learn about a friend or foe and for that reason she had never understood the idea of not taking a loss personal. There was nothing more personal than one on one combat regardless of who it was against. When it came down to it Akassa probably knew more about some enemies than she ever had about her own father. He had rarely taken the time to train with her directly, something that had almost solely been reserved for Ninjin. With Nasu her only real chance left at family she planned to get to know him as much as she could and that meant plenty of time sparring against each other. Hopefully her brother was could take a hit.
”Clever brother, but you will not catch me off guard again!” Although her voice rises as she speaks there was no anger within it, only excitement. No sooner had the words left her mouth she launches forward, the ground cracking and buckling under her feet as she does. Rocketing towards him she makes no attempt to hide her attacks, going for a head-on assault. Leading with a Ki enhanced right she unleashes a flurry of blows against him. Lefts, rights and seemingly random kicks are directed at all parts of his body in an attempt to get past his defenses. As headstrong as it was the string of attacks was not exactly reckless, the accomplished warrior knowing full well what she was doing. Nasu had never fought against his sister before, but he would probably learn quickly she preferred an aggressive fighting style. In her mind it was perfectly fine to let your enemy hit you, as long as you hit them harder in return.

There was something carthartic about fighting. No matter how full or anger and rage he was, how full of self pity at the start of the fight, he always felt calmer, better when punches were flying. He knew it was because fighting was part of his saiyan heratige it was what made the saiyan people who they were. And it was the real reason he knew he was a true saiyan despite his half blood and his lack of a tail. The thrill of battle is something few outsiders truly understand but it’s something that is as natural as breathing to all saiyans. You can’t truly know someone, understand them until you’ve hit them at least once.
He knew his sister understood his feelings perfectly as Nasu once again reached his full power and instead of grimacing a grin spread across her face and he could feel an answering smile in one his own face in response. There was a sense of pleasure knowing what was to come. As he raced forward his plan worked, his people often worked hard to train the weakness out of their tails but that didn’t mean it couldn’t be used against them still. As his hand wrapped around her tail he threw her forward through the crumbling remains of the wall behind her. It wouldn’t do much more than sting his sister but it would show her that he wasn’t to be taken lightly as well.
While Kass was clearly the stronger of the two of them; as far as Nasu knew their new powers made them the two strongest fighters on the planet and he wasn’t about to make this easy for her. Still as he knew she would his sister quickly sprang back to her feet her power flowing around her kicking up dust and sending sparks of pure energy in every direction. Her raw power pushed him back till he answered it with his own aura, letting it run free and firing up the golden glow around him kicking up his own cloud of dust and debris. Before he could say anything the queen spoke to him “Clever brother, but you will not catch me off guard again.” she said as she rushed forward.
He couldn’t help but smile back wider. “We’ll see about that.” he shouted in answer as he brought up his own hands to defend himself from the bombardment of punches and kicks. For a moment or two the fight is fairly even and while Nasu takes a number of hits to his chest and torso he managed to keep her deadly ki gauntlets from doing any real damage until and even lands a few counters, however even with her weighted jacket back on the Queen is still faster and before too long she lands a solid blow to the side of Nasu’s face.
Within seconds he can taste copper in his mouth as it begins to fill with blood a cut must have formed somewhere inside however there wasn’t time to think about that as the barrage of fists hadn’t stopped. Still slightly woozy from the blow to the head he decides to go with a new strategy instead of swallowing the blood that filled his mouth he allowed it to pool for a moment before spitting it directly in his sisters face at point blank range hoping to blind her again.
“Hope you’re not squeamish sister mine.” he said with a laugh. He knew he was far too close to use his electric shield against her again but a wonderful idea came to him. Instead he would bring up the shield of pure electricity whether his sister was blinded or not, however since they were so close it would materialize a few feet behind her. This time instead of charging however, Nasu would race backwards dragging his wall of electricity with him and directly into his sister’s back if she didn’t dodge.

Assaulting one of two remaining brothers, the Queen was not holding back. At the full power her weights would allow she rushes straight for him fully committed to delivering as many powerful blows as she could. Nasu did well to recieve her, both verbally and physically. The renewed confidence in his voice assured her that she had made the right choice in recruiting him for New Vegeta. During the war council he had shown bravery when revealing his true identity and the truth behind his intentions, but it had not been the right time. Regardless of his plans failure that day it had shown he was willing to put everything on the line when it was called for, not afraid to confront those that went against him no matter the cost. That day he had been around numerous individuals that possessed the power to take his life and still he had spoken. Now, he had returned with that bravado and power to rival her own. While the remnants of the Hattori family lacked numbers, they did not lack power.
Several of her blows made it past his defenses often glancing off of him more than landing a decisive hit. Nasu managed the same, occasionally getting a shot in at his older sister but with little real damage being done. This far out of the city there fight was as private as it was going to be, their massive power signatures easy to pick out among the rest the the moon harbored. Both of them were what they thought was the highest level their race could reach and it reflected in each blocked blow. Each time Akassa's first or knee met that of her brothers the sound of the impact echoes across surface. Small waves of force rippled from each point of impact as the two Hattori children went at it. If any had been watching the fight they would have probably assumed it a fight to the death, the intensity at which the two fought only matched by the raw power they both possessed. Of course someone watching from a safe distance wouldn't have seen the grins upon both of their faces.
Pulling her fist back, but stopping short Akassa manages to catch him square across the jaw with a right hook. Knowing that hit solidly she begins her follow up attack when he turns his head back to face her and spits a mouthful of blood at her. Normally the edge of her raging aura would evaporate anything of the sort, but not at this proximity. Blue eyes squeezing shut in response the Queen lets out a hiss. It wasn't overly painful and she wasn't overly mad, but the fact he had temporarily blinded her was incredibly frustrating. Grabbing blindly for him with her right arm she feels her fingers brush his chest as he pulls back. At the same time the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, the indication of an electrical charge close by. Having fought against Conri Lane and his pesky ability to utalize lightning she knew what the tingling sensation foretold. Not to mention Nasu had already used the technique on her once before. Instincts and intuition directing her as she drives forward. Unable to see she could still sense he was there and at the very least they would both recieve a shock.
Diving forward she attempts to tackle him to the dirt, perhaps avoiding his attack entirely. Grappling with him the two half-Saiyans roll across the ground, tumbling with each other as she struggles to get him pinned under her. Still trying to blink the blood away from her eyes Akassa was able to feel perfectly fine as she tries to get him on his back in the dirt. If she was able to get him down the Queen would then rise to her knees, straddling her younger brother so that she might free up her arms. The whole ordeal would look very much like two young siblings wrestling with each other, although these two possessed the power to obliterate worlds.
Mounting him on the ground and still partially blind she starts to hammer down blows towards his head and chest. Regardless of if she could aim them properly the powerful hits didnt need to hit specific areas, just hit. Her metal arm would be especially uncomfortable if his fleshy ones were to block it, the metal scraping and cutting at is skin as the joints caught it. While on top of him her legs try to squeeze together against his sides to further control him. Should he remain in the position for multiple strikes, even if blocked, they would quite literally beat his body into the ground. There was no way the soil beneath them could handle this type of force for long.
"What makes you think I need to see in order to pummel you!" She roars out, seeming to be rather enjoying beating on her brother. Nasu probably understood, how good had it felt to throw her through that wall?

There was a joy to fighting Nasu had always felt had to be contained. Though he was a Saiyan and his people were all warriors they had all been so serious about it. He had always believed a fight a was fun thing, something that should be fluid flexible. His instructors, and by that he meant his opponents had always believed fighting was done with only your hands, your feet and your energy. But their was so much more to fighting than that. So much of it was done in your head. Anyone could throw a punch or a ki blast but he prided himself on being a smarter fighter. And that creativity had kept him alive in more than a few fights. He would never be an artist or a poet. He didn’t need to because he spoke with his fists. And when it came to fighting this was where he shined.
Nasu could feel the shock waves vibrating through the air with every collision. Every fist hitting fist, knee striking knee sent ripples through the air strong enough to crumble the destroyed structures around them. What was left of the once proud mercenary base was now in ruins as the concrete bunkers flew apart like sand caught in a windstorm.
Their powers were unrivaled and this brought a bloody grin to Nasu’s face quickly matched by his sisters own. There was something to be said about being the strongest but that had never mattered much to him. He had only been as strong as he needed to in order to survive, even now at the height of his power he could sense his sister was still stronger than him. Even still she seemed restrained like she was holding back, and he knew if it wasn’t for the weights she was wearing he would be far outclassed. Still she hadn’t used her powers to oppress him. She had the ability to kill him the moment he had stepped foot back on her planet. And instead she had offered him the olive branch. She had offered him peace, a family, a home. Everything he had ever wanted.
Instead of striking him she had given him a gift. And while it seemed too good to be true, why couldn’t it be? Was there some unwritten law of the universe that said he couldn’t be happy? On top of that she had offered him everything while standing by her convictions. She had apologized for striking him while not backing down off her position. She was as a Queen should be corrective but unrepentant.
These thoughts flooded through his head as he brought up the energy shield to strike at his sister. Perhaps he was distracted, just a fraction slower than he should have been. As he dove backwards. His sister managed to tackle him before he could dodge out of the way. Landing on top of him. He felt his energy shield race over them both. A silent wall of energy, he still wasn’t able to turn it from it’s original course. The electricity was close enough that his hair would have been standing on end if it wasn’t already raised from the two saiyan’s elevated power.
For a moment the two grapple each squirming trying to gain the upper hand and position on another. But within seconds he realized his sister’s superior strength would eventually win out and instead he lets her gain the upper hand. At a young age he learned to have the strength to let go of the things he couldn’t change and to come at them from a different angle. So instead as Kass’ fists rained down on him he focused his energy on his own hands.
“"What makes you think I need to see in order to pummel you!" she shouted and he could tell she was enjoying the fight as much as he was.
“Nothing my queen. But I hear sight helps when trying to dodge.” and with that he brought both of his own arms up point blank against her chest and let loose with a blast of energy.
Since he was still pinned underneath her he would almost certainly be caught in the blast himself, however since he literally drove the energy into her chest she was bound to get the worst of it.
As the explosion ripped through the air he was driven further into the soil leaving a Nasu shaped crater in the ground. Moments later bloody and literally smoking he would push himself to his feet. Though he looked in bad shape the damage was mostly cosmetic having managed to avoid hits to his vitals. And he wasn’t able to contain the joy in his eyes or in his face the fight was bringing him . Even though they moved fast enough to make it a pointless gesture he brought his hands up in front of him dropping into a fighting stance to show he was ready and eager for round two to begin. And with that .e would extend his senses prepared for Kass’ next attack wherever she came from.

Despite the fact she was beating him into the ground, there was no love lost between the siblings. Circumstance had kept them from bonding for most of their lives, but now they finally had the chance to get to know each other. In true Saiyan fashion befitting of their royal bloodline they had chosen to do so through combat. In part this had been her goal from the very start, a large part of why she had invited him back to New Vegeta. Sure she wanted a powerful ally to assist in furthering her desires, but there was a second, much more personal reason for choosing him first and foremost out of potential allies. Akassa wanted a family or at least the closest thing she could get at this point. With Ninjin off planet, and not likely to return with a desire to serve under her, she selfishly wanted Nasu to herself. In her mind it was her right to form a bond with the brother that was in truth rather similar to her. Having her brother close would save her from being alone, the one thing Akassa truly feared.
Managing to get the upper hand and superior position, the Queen rains down blows. Randomly switching between quick shots and raising her hands above her head to strike harder she kept up the flurry, far from tiring as Nasu does is best to fend her off. Even when he spoke again, she was not prepared to relent as both of her hands rise above head, hands clasping together. The move would cost her. Accompanied by a blinding flash pain exploded across her chest as Nasu shoved his hands up to it, unleashing a double handed blast at point blank range. Straddling him on her knees there was no way for her to dodge or soften the blow as it struck her head on.
The resulting explosion pushed him further into the ground, but it sent her flying. Launched into the air with a grunt, often the closest thing to a cry of pain the female let out, her body archs up and away from him. Stunned for a moment her lithe form travels across the dark sky, a trail of smoke marking her path. Unable to gather herself quickly enough she hits the ground hard several dozen yards away. With only gravity pulling her down she does not get driven into the ground as Nasu did, but nor does she roll across it. Instead she lands in a heap. For a long moment she doesn't move, lying on her back, eyes blinking as she regains her focus. Rolling over she shoves up, snapping up to her feet before stumbling to the right. Awkwardly she manages to keep herself from falling over as she regains most of her balance. Then, she began to laugh.
While the laughter that rolls across the barren landscape wasn't exactly the most natural reaction to taking such a hit, it might be one Nasu understood. At the level she had risen to no one, not even King Tsuyo himself, had been able to give her a challenge. It had been some time since she had taken a hit like that. Obviously enjoying herself she spins to face him, sleeve dragging across her mouth to wipe the blood away from her split lip. The tank top she wore was in tatters from the explosion, exposing her tone stomach and the sports bra like garment she wore underneath. Dirty and slightly disheveled Akassa couldn't feel more at home than she did now.
"Excellent! Now, shall we truly begin?" A wide grin accompanying the question as Ki rolls down her right arm to form a long whip. Both her gauntlets had been lost in the explosion, her concentration broken by the powerful blast. Cracking the whip once she bursts into motion, sprinting full speed for him. Seeming to be planning another head-on assault her bright eyes lock on his just before she vanishes. Utilizing zenzoken she amplifies her movement speed and a fraction of a second later appears at his right side.
Already mid rotation as she arrives at his side, her left foot launches out for his torso. The spin kick was aimed to take him right off his feet, the element of surprise hopefully enough to catch him off guard. Should the blow connect Akassa would look to complete her rotation, right arm snapping forward as his body soars away. The long whip of energy targets his ankle, trying to wrap around it securely before he is out of range. The sudden shift in his momentum as the whip reaches its full length and she pulls would not feel pleasant on whichever leg it had gotten a hold of. Tugging hard she performs a 180 degree turn, pulling him up and over her to slam him brutally into the ground. Letting out a laugh as she does, Akassa was absolutely enjoying herself.

Honestly Nasu didn’t know what to expect from the Queen power wise before he landed on New Vegeta. He knew he had grown in strength exponentially, there was no way she would be able to match him. But not only was she rivaling his own power meeting him punch for punch, even in her weights she exceeded him. It was almost humbling if Nasu was willing to be honest with himself.
After all the training, everything he had been through. To see his sister still exceed him to this degree...that in weighted clothing she could still keep pace with him step for step. It made him wonder what she had been though. Had she been as alone in the palace as he’d been while homeless? His own experiences hadn’t been easy but for her to be this strong made him question if the life of a royal bastard was really that much better than the life he had been forced to lead on the streets. These thoughts dashed through Nasu’s mind as he stood there senses extended hands ready for anything his sister could throw at him.
He thought.
Then something completely unexpected happened, he heard the sound of laughter. Not the cruel, derisive, or contemptuous laughter of someone who thought they were better than him; but pure joyous belly laughter. Like a child on their first ever roller coaster experiencing the thrill for the first time. Or Nasu if he saw a person slip on some ice and fall flat on their back. It was a refreshing sound. The last few days he had been on New Vegeta had been all death, battle and sadness. He had come back expecting more of the same. And instead he found himself bonding with his sister. And judging from her laughter she was enjoying their fight as much as he was.
It made him feel inexplicably connected to his sister. He had tried so hard when they first met to make her laugh. He had always found that to be the easiest way to connect with someone. He had been greeted at every turn by a serious expression. Masked disgust for his jokes hidden behind military precision. If he had simply known all he needed to do to make her laugh was punch her in the face….well he was weaker than, that probably wouldn’t have ened too well for him. Still hearing his sister laugh now brought another bloody smile to his own face.
Mirroring her gesture Nasu wipes blood from his mouth flicking it from his sleeve to the ground below.
“Excellent!” she said “Now, shall we truly begin?” and Nasu couldn’t resist. Looking at the state of her clothing after the explosion. “If we truly begin any more I’m afraid I’ll leave you in your royal birthday suit. The Queen clearly had not developed a similar sense of humor to Nasu however as a moment later she extended her hand to her side forming a whip out of energy. Nasu’s eyebrow shot up and before he could stop himself or think he spoke again.
“Kinky.” was all he could manage to get out before she charged. Nasu was prepared this time, ready to meet her head on. However it seemed he wasn’t the only one who had thought tricks weren’t just for kids.
The queen disappeared for a moment and as fast as Nasu was his eyes couldn’t track her. His mind could however and he sensed her as she appeared again at his side. His body reacting more than thinking he turned to face her only to squarely meet her boot as it collided with his stomach sending him flying backwards, forcing the air from his lungs. Luckily his backwards momentum was stopped before he could collide with anything painful by his sister’s energy whip lashing forward and wrapping around his left ankle. The sudden stop was enough momentum to pull his knee from it’s socket with a loud and very painful pop. The ride wasn’t over for Nasu however as his sister then spins launches him forward in the other direction slamming him into the ground again. Creating a second Nasu shaped impact crater to match the first.
“Oh yea, whip it. Whip it real good.” he wheezed out pushing himself back to his feet. He could hear his sister laughing again and he was hopeful it was in reaction to his joke. Wow he must have serious head trama if he thought she was laughing at his jokes. Just then Nasu noticed a line of blood running down the side of his face. Getting slammed into the ground must have given him a cut on his head somewhere, that made more sense, he thought quietly with a grin. Rather than wipe it off however Nasu had something else in mind.
With a thought he reached out to his telekinetics and the blood hovered inches off his face, each drop condensing and forming into a diamond hardened razor held together by his will. With a flick he sent them flying at Kass’s own face dozen’s of tiny razors, none of them would do any vital damage but that wasn’t the point.
The blood bullets were a distraction as Nasu came charging in not a foot behind them flying inches off the ground racing forward as fast as his ki would carry him. The distraction was admittedly obvious and wouldn’t fool a fighter of half his sister’s calibur but he wasn’t done yet. Again with his telekinesis Nasu reached for the hinges on his sisters’ sports bra and with a thought undid them. He hoped she would be so busy trying to see through the bullets to what Nasu was doing with his attack she would be completely caught off guard. With that he launched a full on attack throwing punches and kicks randomly at her face and midsection holding nothing back. For once his face was serious trying to concentrate to make the most of whatever opportunity was given, however he could never keep the amusement out of his eyes. He wanted badly to see how his incredibly serious sister dealt with a fight that wasn’t ever going to be what one would consider “clean”.
“Fight fair, die fair. Sis. Learned that years ago.”
