The entire situation was devolving faster than anyone could expect. Kurosanai was left standing next to the android which had saved the Cardinal Sebastian De’Vont from death, Frigid and the Cardinal himself as they watched from the ship. First came the appearance of the heavily armored man. Even from where Kurosanai stood, and with his lack of ability to sense energy, he coud tell that the man was the strongest being that he had ever come across on the battlefield. There was no way for Kurosanai to even come close to matching that power and he had no conceivable way to ever reach such a level. That was when two events changed the entire situation. The first came from the man that looked poised to deliver and onslaught of destruction. A flicker of gold flashed through the sky before his hair illuminated into gold as a wave of power rolled across his body. Instantly his power shot up to something that was close to the equivalent of the man in the imposing set of armor. Within only a few seconds Conri’s visage would flash golden as well igniting into a golden vision like the other man before him. Just like him his power climbed to heights that Kurosanai never thought possible.
‘What is going on?!’ Kurosanai stood on looking in wonder as the fight around him reached heights that he could never hope to even match. ‘This has to be the stuff of legend…’ Kuro thought to himself. He had heard legends of super powered saiyans that were able to change the color of their hair. At first he was about to write off the possibility but he thought back to the power level that Fujin Muzai was rumored to be at and he had drawn breath. Legends always had a thread of truth to them.
His mind snapped back to him when he saw that the Cardinal had made his way outside of the ship. Instantly Kurosanai jogged down the hall after him and out onto the ground that the ship was resting on. He stood eyes fixated on what was happening in front of them off in a short distance. Sebastian De’Vont may have been weakened and exposed due to the combat on Belegost he could still be a threat or a piece that could be played if needed. The air outside of the ship sang with electricity and tension as the battle looked on the breaking point off by the other group. And while Kuro would have loved to watch a fight that could have easily consumed the planet around it but he was going to have to deal with something else. Two figures were quickly approaching the group; the first was a woman with bright orange hair and the other was one that had blonde pigtails. The woman with red hair did not seem to give off an aura nearly as much as the blonde haired girl did.
“Shit is about to get nasty around here…” Kurosanai cursed as he looked at the situation was unfolding around him. By the end of everything Kurosanai stood just a few feet from Sebastian and was still trying to process all of the information that was occurring at that moment.

For a moment, the soldier couldn't determine if the situation was getting incredibly grim, or if beacons of hope were errupting around her. She wasn't immediately beside Ninjin, but she was close enough that she could have taken a few steps and been floating beside him. When Invictus' power skyrocketed, she knew things would be difficult. And then other powers of note came up into view along with Invictus, giving the church quite a formidable fighting force. But just as they were starting to make demands of the attacking force, Ninjin's golden aura burst to life around him and his power soared to a level that competed with what Invictus was showing.
And soon after that, allied arrivals made their way to the battle site, and Conri Lane found the strength within to reach that golden power of legend as well. Celeh couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of it all. Two legendary warriors coming into being right next to her and she couldn't even hold a candle to their untransformed power, let alone the strength they possessed in their new forms. Still, this wasn't the time or place for such toxic thoughts. They had a mission to fulfill, and with these two powerful warriors leading the charge, Celeh was certain they could make it happen.
Despite the chatter going on between enemy and ally, Celeh kept silent and alert. She was like a sentry, watching and waiting for an opportunity. She knew she couldn't do anything to Invictus, but perhaps some of his lackies could be dealt with by the soldier? As it stood right now, she was forced to continue waiting for that opening. And then Invictus' hand pointed toward her, clearly aiming his power in her direction if Ninjin failed to follow his commands. Celeh was a soldier. More than that, she was Iron Willed and Stone Hearted. A death threat to a soldier was just another day on the job. This was Celeh's biggest mission yet, and its success would mean that her people would have some semblance of safety back home, at least for the time being. She didn't even bat an eye at Invictus. Her gaze continued scanning the area and her senses were honed as sharply as she could manage, wanting to catch any abnormality in the energy of anyone around her.

Bang...!
…
Nobody would know. At-least, not before it was too late. Nobody would know because their eyes were all slanted on the new super saiyan warriors that had been born into the universe. They wouldn’t notice because the hands the dealt the deed were ones which could not be sensed by normal means. They wouldn’t notice because he didn’t want them to notice. At-least, not until it was too late. That’s the thing about androids. They’re unpredictably predictable, and so nobody would expect it either. They don’t waste time with words or even give a warning because there is no point in doing so. And so, nobody would notice as he walked across the tiled room of the spaceship, raised his hand and pulled the trigger. Not until there was a gaping hole through the verdicts heart.
…
One… two… three… there were four of them; two more than what Sebastian had warned them of. “So much for stealth,” the android muttered, his comrades too perplexed with the current situation to hear him speak. Everything had devolved into chaos in no time at all. The moment they set foot on the ‘holy ground’ Mement Mor, buildings were torn down, civilians were hurt by the falling debris and running away as smoke, fire, and their equivalent of sirens were blaring throughout the establishment. However, they were all just background noise in the distance compared to everything occurring at the roof tops.
The cardinals didn’t take very long to arrive. Invictus Maneo was upon them within seconds and the others following behind right after. One of the men floating outside, garbed in red armor, burst with a suddenness of power that the android could never grasp. In just an instant, the man’s power ruptured the skies as a wave of golden energy washed over them. A bright light followed with it, momentary blinding everyone within eye’s distance. Zero watched the numbers of his scouter rise sharply with no restraints. He almost feared it would never stop growing as it ascended without any signs of delay until it finally screeched to a tentative halt. The numbers were astonishing. The android had never sensed a power-level so strong in his short life. The strongest rulers he ever knew, Wrath and Arctic, were surpassed in the blink of an eye. And Zero… his plans, Ivan’s plans… they would have to wait a little longer before it was actually a possibility.
Ninjin stood defiantly, filled with anger and hatred as sparks of electricity crackle beside him. Zero glanced at his golden hair with a hint of familiarity. He didn’t know what he was just witnessing. He had never heard of such a transformation, and certainly Ivan didn’t either or he would have informed Zero about it. Regardless, the golden hair, the aura, the very demeanor of the saiyan brought a sense of nostalgia to the android, something which he could not explain. It was as if he had seen it before. His body was telling him that he had experienced it before. Perhaps, in his past life he had crossed paths with one of them. And so, mysteriously so, his lips parted and whispered words he didn’t know he knew.
“Super Saiyan…” he says, surprised that he was able to name the transformation. He didn’t know where he got it, but it felt so right. An instant later, it felt as though a part of him had been ripped from his being and he experienced this odd sense of anguish and dysphoria parading throughout his being. It was a sensation attached to the evident transformation, it followed behind it almost as if they were inseparably synonymous to each other. What a terrible word, he thought.
As if it had not been enough, an instant later, Conri Lane also bursts with inexplicable power superseding his limits. Zero knew the saiyan wasn’t capable of doing that in Belegost, otherwise, he would have had no trouble fending off the Cardinal of Truth and they would have been on their way to Mement Mor a lot sooner as he now matched the other saiyan’s power-level and Invictus somehow seemed a lot less threatening. What changed? How did the saiyan reach such an absurd amount of power? Ivan prided himself in the creation of an android whose growth rate surpassed anyone and anything known to the universe. However, Conri Lane and Ninjin Hattori experienced the largest surplus, the largest growth spurt the android had ever witnessed. His hands sunk into the chair, fingers slowly digging into its fabric. His eyes narrow and teeth grit.
A moment later, Sebastian floats across the ship and makes his way outside. Frigid follows his, and then Kurosanai. There was no point in standing around, the android thought. His eyes resonated with the crystal on his forehead, a deep teal color, and then it subsides an instant later. He had ascended into his override state. In seconds, his power-level rose, unhindered, to its maximum capacity. Nobody would notice the change except the girl who stared at him far away at the distance. His eyes were locked with hers for a moment. He knew, that she knew, that he knew who they were; after all, it was not every day they met another like themselves. His eyes never leave Ona’s as he turns away from the cockpit. He stopped for a moment, continued to stare at her with an expressionless stoic face only an android can accomplish, and then finally broke eye contact as he turned his back to her. As he walked towards the exit, where his teammates had gone, nobody would sense his presence. Frigid had transformed. It seemed he and Kurosanai were preparing for the inevitable chain of battles that were about to unfold. But before that happened, the android had unfinished business.
Raising his hands, he levels his pistol at Sebastian’s back and pulls the trigger without any warning whatsoever. In the current instance, his power surpassed the cardinal’s greatly, and so the compressed bullet of energy should have had no problem ripping through the man’s heart. He had lied about the cardinals present on Mement Mor, he didn’t know where the lost crew was, they failed to infiltrate the planet without attracting any attention, he was no longer of any use to them. Zero had noticed how the man moved, feigning his pain, however, his wounds had completely disappeared. As far as the android knew, nobody had given him first aid and he grew suspicious rapidly. He would not risk putting their team in danger, and not by the hands of a man he saved.
Zero saved Sebastian. Now he was going to rip the life out of his very being. Whether or not the saiyans died in battle was irrelevant, because the cardinal would not be here to witness it.
They wouldn't notice. Until the boom of his gun pierced the air. Until the blond man was lying on the ground...

The other cardinals arrived one after another. Ium the little brat; as a being of constant battle Invictus found no need for the things she represented. Fashion. Useless. Then Ona of whom Maneo was constantly weary. Having fought countless wars, the Cardinal had seen the power of artificial life. He had seen it destroy many worlds. Then Aon deemed them just carriers of his faith, and Ona was brought on to unify them under Aon’s will. The Warlock said it was so, but the Great General was not convinced of its conviction. Sebastian piled out of his ship with the remainder of the heretics. The ageless warrior watched as an Icejin, a human and an android exit one after another. Having dealt with machines countless times he was quite aware of them; their calculated movements, stoic look, and lack of energy. It was one of the reasons he developed arguably his most powerful technique. Great shame and anger befell him upon seeing Aon’s Grace draped upon the dark haired boy’s shoulders. Such a travesty would be corrected. Meanwhile, Ninjin and Conri near simultaneously reached super saiyan status. It had been over a millennium since he had faced one in battle. Invictus believed it was why the Warlock was ushering forth Aon’s word on their extinction. Fear, that their longtime targets would grow too powerful to destroy; that they would fall under the same tree as Lord Frieza had all those years ago. They had sensed the growing powers of the royal family, though it seemed as if Lane’s victory at the Galactic Tournament which put the wheels in motion. A saiyan proving himself the greatest fighter in the galaxy? Nay, a half-saiyan at that. Aon’s word decreed that no race should be brought back from extinction; and that all bloodlines remained pure. Two of His founding laws, both defamed by Conri’s mere existence. Yes if Invictus had to venture a veteran’s guess, it was his victory on Alpha Prime that doomed all those souls on the moon. Then there was Ninjin… Maneo remarked how similar he looked to his ancestor; the first of the original seven reborn saiyans, and first king of New Vegeta. Yet he was already far more powerful than his descendant. He would need to be. “Nor shall there ever be mercy for your people, their existence is a sin against the will of Aon and all must be purged to maintain the balance. However the people of Mement Mor are followers of the one true path and are thus blessed as Aon’s children. No harm shall come to them. You and your allies on the other hand, former crown prince, have trespassed on holy land and therefore must die. I apologize that you will not be able to die alongside the rest of your people, but I shall see that their deaths are quick.”
Invictus stated all as a matter of fact. He offered no opinions or guesses, only truths. Throughout all the commotion he never moved once since arriving, not even adjusting his head to the speaker. The snow white armor would hover there amidst the matching aura. Ium would hop atop roofs with her asinine umbrella while Ona set her eyes on the android standing just behind the others. Even the surviving Naitram reappeared, apparently healed and recovered from his recent “infusion.” As the pet project of the Warlock the namekian had certain amenities. For one, returning from a battle lost was worthy severe punishment if not death. Or at least be made to right his wrong. However the Warlock simply ordered him healed and for the next victim the zealot to fuse with to be prepared. Maneo immediately sensed the shift in his signature and raised power as he rose to join the rest. Perhaps he could avenge his disgraceful loss as well. Then an annoying insect buzzed past the Guardian of Mement Mor. A small boy, or so he appeared, leapt from one building to another, leaving a hologram of sorts before the former prince. Invictus had not the time for such parlor tricks but would let it pass if it swayed the prince from attempting to harm his charges. The weakling floated up wearily into the air in front of the saiyan woman that Maneo was aiming at in a game of brinksmanship with Ninjin. Then the creature dared to speak. Invictus classified him as such since while he appeared human his ki betrayed him to Maneo’s mastered sense though he knew not what it was, having never come across such a being before. Then his omnisense alerted him to another action, though this was one was inherently more sneaky with quite a bit more finesse. However, despite his every precaution and gift of near invisibility to the senses, Invictus was aware of all things around him as long as he was conscious. Every word, every movement, he had honed his senses in the flames of endless wars, combining his ki and Aon’s faith. He was aware of the evacuations taking place far, far down the skyscrapers which put Earth’s to shame. Of each person’s exact location in relation to him. Of their current powers. For the most part, who and what they were. Of the android rising his gun to the back of Sebastian’s head. ”Sebastian, duck and move to cover right…” he would interject into the Cardinal’s mind via telepathy, pausing only to wait until the last moment. ”Now," he would order, timing it just so the human would move just as the shot was taken, just so that the android was unable to make a last second readjustment to hit the fleeing Sebastian. Just as the shot rang out and everyone was distracted for a split second, Invictus would act suddenly springing to life as he unleashed a massive ball of white flames at Ninjin. One so large he could not hope to simply out maneuver it whilst holding his own charge. It was a moment Invictus had seen coming from the beginning, and was why he had positioned himself as such. Should the saiyan abandon his own amassed ki to dodge, the giant ball of white flame totaling 1,968,000 power would simply trace Mori’s skyline, continuing on unabated by gravity, out into the atmosphere before ultimately dissipating in space. Should he fire his own beam, it would collide with the ball momentarily before it began pushing it, since it did not have Maneo feeding it constant energy. Its fate would be similar, out in the cold vastness of space. A blast of his own would be least ideal, as it would meet the giant ball of white fire and, nearly equal in strength, the two would destroy themselves, causing quite a bit of damage to the building tops. However the attack was designed to implode so it would be minimal, not to mention his senses revealed the adjacent buildings were already evacuated. Regardless, immediately upon releasing Aon’s Nova at Ninjin, Invictus would unleash his full power, thus revealing his true self. Once more the armor would change though this time it would morph as well as change color. Adorning a blinding gold, two matching appendages would loosen from his back; from which many streams of solid light protruded, forming wings. The darkness behind the helmet was still impenetrable and his ornate armor seemed to glow red as if being superheated whilst in the crevices of the tightly packed armor bright light shone through. His true form bolstered a power level of 2,050,000. Not wasting a single fraction of a second, upon launching his attack and subsequently transforming near instantaneously he charged forth and grasped the one known as William by the throat with one mighty hand. No matter how hard he screamed or fought, it would be for nothing as he was an insect before the might of a being of light. Leaning forward, so that the vast blackness within his helmet would terrify the boy into understanding the gravity of the situation, he would speak with a booming voice. “They are dead, shot from the skies as you all should have been fore you sullied Mor with your sacrilege. As dead as you will be in moments.”With Ninjin ultimately distracted and everyone’s movements tracked, without another word Maneo would pull back to throw the meddlesome creature with all his bountiful might, before turning at the last moment thus launching him directly at, and then into, the female saiyan who was beside the Hattori. ”Follow them; then kill them.” he ordered Naitram telepathically. It was time he found out if the Warlock’s pet project was worth it. All of this happening immediately after the android’s attempted assassination, he decided to give Ona what she wanted, “Ona take the android, see if you can make him see the Light.” They could always use another obedient servant of Aon’s divine will. Continuing the telepathic orders, “Ium, eliminate the Icejin. They are too dangerous to leave unattended.” Icejin, in his experience, were some of the fiercest opponents he had come across. Especially when they evolved passed their inherent arrogance. “Sebastian, redeem yourself; retake your property.” With his mental commands distributed, Invictus finally spoke. Upon throwing the mouthy being, he had turn and remained prepared for any type of reaction, though he guessed the two super saiyans would have been preoccupied by the gigantic ball of white fire. “Come now, Conri and Ninjin, so an angel of Aon may show you the true power of the Light.”
[Saga threads will be divided up tomorrow. Participants' names will be included in the title of their respective thread. Techniques Omnisense [Monarch] and Aon's Nova [Master] will also be added to Invictus' profile tomorrow.]
