It had been a bit of a journey, but he had finally made it to New Vegeta, and what he saw made him stop in his tracks for a moment to look at the rebuilding that was going on. Granted it wasn't too far into the process, and seeing the devastation that had been done to the landscape he could only stare, taking in the scenery around him. The amount of devastation brought to the surface of the moon was heartbreaking to see and he could tell why it was that Ninjin had come to the planet, but was glad all the same that his friend had decided against doing such a thing. Taking a deep breath there was no real time to waste here, he had something to do and the longer he stalled the harder it would be for him to get it done. From the spaceport he made his way to the palace and along the way he had seen even more of the damage that was done. It was a shame to have to see so many people suffering like that, and he couldn't even imagine what it felt like for the people that called New Vegeta their home.
When he finally did arrive at the palace he noticed that it was still standing, but it seemed a bit different from the last time he was here, which just added to the whole weird feeling. Walking up to the two guards he nodded to them, "I've got something to report, it's in regards to Ninjin and the female Saiyan that was with him," he figured that would be all he needed to say on the matter. The guards exchanged looks and decided to let Akassa know about the blue-haired Saiyan at the door, and that he was bringing a message regarding the two sent out. If Conri could cross his arms anymore he would, but as it was he would just wait until the guard returned whether it be to let him in or attack him, at this point it was hard to say the moods on some of them.
Marisa had told him that there was a message that Akassa had sent out from New Vegeta, but he had chosen to not watch it, instead wanting to talk to her himself about that had been going on. Whether that was naive of him or it was him being trusting of the princess, he supposed he would find out the answer to that soon enough, but he would do his best to keep an open mind about things. The guard that had stayed behind had been studying Conri for a few moment before he spoke up, "So, what happened?" he asked nodding towards the missing arms. The new weightlessness that Conri was feeling had started to help him return to his more lighthearted nature, and his answer was,"I just took that saying 'Look ma, no hands' a bit too far, ya know?" A grin was plastered on his face as the guard shook his head with a quiet laugh.
He wondered what Akassa's reaction might be to him missing both of his arms, as he had yet to do anything to replace them yet. He had no idea what he wanted to do regarding that issue, but he figured for a temporary solution he would visit his old friend on Earth to see what he could do. Right now he would just get used to the feeling of not having them so he could get over these phantom sensations that were messing with his mind right now, it was not an easy thing to adjust to after having arms for all his life to this point. Leaning against the wall next to the guard the traded a bit of small talk back and forth to kill some time while they waited. (I suck at openings lol)

Akassa had not spoken with Conri Lane since before the Universal Church of One had attacked New Vegeta. So when she sensed his signature, one more powerful than she remembered, a smile had spread across her face. Like Ezekiel and Nasu, he had returned to the moon. Normally she rushed to greet any guest of note, but had already been informed he was heading towards the palace. In her throne room she waited, knowing he would be able to sense her and easily find his way there. That thought gave her sudden pause…he had not been here since before the attack. His absence meant that he did not known about what had taken place here, what had happened to New Vegeta and to the Princess herself…nor would he know she was Queen. The message had been broadcast far and wide, yet there was no certainty that he would have received it.
All the more reason to wait for him in the throne room she decided. Akassa considered Conri Lane a friend, yet the fact she was now Queen would forever alter their relationship. In the same fashion it had done so with Ezekiel, the males were under her jurisdiction whenever visiting the Saiyan home world. They would not be ordered around like guards or be expected to step out of her way as subjects did, but they were beneath her. As Queen she could have no equal among the rest of the Universe, in terms of both stature and power. Hopefully Conri would understand…but how could he not once it was explain to him? The same went for the death of Tsuyo and Natisha, both of which the blue haired champion had never voiced much like for. Would he see the reasoning behind her logic and actions like Ezekiel and Nasu had? It didn’t matter, he would be told the reasoning behind it and see the truth in it, like all the others had. Facts were facts, no matter how brutal or dark.
At the front gate the guard that had stepped inside was quick to return. Having missed the joke he glances to the half-saiyan’s arms, but then turns to lead him inside without a word. As he was escorted through the palace halls Conri might notice how different the palace was compared to what it had been before. With most of the structure leveled by Akassa and Tsuyo, it had been rebuilt from the ground up. Clean and new it appeared more fresh and full of life than it ever had before. With more square footage more servants were needed, many who had lost homes from the attack employed and housed within the palace walls. Servitude was not the highest station achievable in life, yet it was one many were growing to like. To serve your Queen and live within the palace was not lacking in honor. And what a palace it was, the compound stretching to over four times what it had been in generations past. Such was fitting for the home of a Super Saiyan Monarch.
When they were to finally reach the throne room its two doors sat closed. With a nod to his fellow guards the one escorting Conri signals they open. Both step forward to push the perfectly balanced gates inwards to reveal the throne room. A long red carpet led down the center of the room, gold highlighting its edges. Touching the steps it then stopped as four small steps reached up to the throne itself, within it sat Akassa. Smiling wide and looking much like she had the last time they had met there were three differences. One was the fact that Tsuyo, Natisha and Leke seemed to be nowhere in sight, instead an armor clad Saiyan stood by her side. Two she sat in the throne so comfortably it appeared she was used to such a position and three, a metal arm hung from her left shoulder. It would seem much had changed since they last spoke.
“Welcome Conri I wasn’t…” Akassa’s energetic greeting dropping off as she notices his hands, or lack thereof. Eyes widening, she rises from her chair to rush down the stairs towards him. ”What happened?” Genuine concern in her voice for the condition he was in.

It hadn't been hard for him to sense Akassa at all even from the spaceport, they were pretty much the two strongest powers on the planet, with others being close but still lower than either of theirs. He figured that a lot had happened while he was gone, but some of this had been beyond what he could have anticipated especially the extent of it. This seemed to be the first large scale attack that was directed at the Saiyans, was that a sign of things to come? The Half-Saiyan honestly hoped that was not the case here, but they couldn't just ignore it either given that it was the UCOO involved with the attack. Whatever questions he might have though would hopefully be answered when he met up with Akassa and the others, and he supposed that he could try to answer whatever questions they might have for him. Finally, the guard that had gone in to announce his presence to the royalty had returned and motioned for him to follow to the throne room, nodding his goodbye to the other guard as they started the trek.
It was strange how drastically the palace had changed since he had been gone, everything seemed bigger, newer, just completely different from what it was the last time he had been here. A chuckle escaped his lips at that point, he supposed that everyone had gone through changes over this bit of time apart, and he had to say that he hoped that all the changes were for the better like his own. He had to admit that the palace did look nice though, but it was also a bit on the large side as well, walking to the throne room was a lot longer of a journey! Although that was probably a bit more of his nervousness since he was bringing news of the loss of Ninjin and his partner that had been on Mement Mor, and it just made it seem like a longer trip than he would have liked. When they did reach the doors he looked up at them keeping his expression neutral as the doors opened, and it helped when he saw what was on the other side as well, since that all brought on a sense of curiosity as to what had happened.
Akassa was sitting atop the throne and besides her was an armor-clad Saiyan that he had never seen before, but there was no sign of Tsuyo or Natisha around at all. Not that he minded too much with the latter, considering she tended to have an inflated ego about herself, it was a bit annoying to deal with. The next thing he noticed was the metal limb that was in place of her left arm, and he could feel a small pain pierce through his heart that she had to suffer something like he had with missing an appendage. She was just about to greet him as well when the sight of his own lack of arms seemed to catch her by surprise, however, he would not be one to bring down the mood of the room. She had started with a happy sounding and even excited tone, so he would have to try to steer things back that way if it was possible.
"It's good to see you again, Akassa. I can see that a lot has changed here, as for me, well when they tell you to keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times they aren't foolin' around," he flashed a teasing grin. The blue-haired Half-Saiyan had become a much more lighthearted person since he had left as well, so it would be interesting to see how Akassa would react to his new change in personality as well.

The Queen shouldn't have been surprised by the answer, it was Conri Lane she was dealing with after all. The truth of that was revealed in the smile she let form on her lips. For whatever reason the Champion met everything with a smile, regardless of the hardships in his past. That was perhaps one of his greatest abilities, to meet any challenge with courage and a grin. In his own way the blue haired Saiyan was fearless or at least Akassa felt he was. Perhaps that was why the two got along so well or maybe that was more due to Conri's relentless attempts at friendship. Originally the etiquette and order driven Princess had not found his company enjoyable in any fashion, but he had not been so easily turned away by her cold personality, instead it had strengthen his efforts. Thankfully it had lead to what she believed was friendship...even if he had sent her flowers during the process. Past thoughts aside she looks from his hands to his face.
"It would seem you are in high spirits despite the situation, something I should have anticipated. Jokes aside though, will you not tell me what happened and why we share this...similar condition?" The Queen lifting her left arm, fingers of her metal arm wiggling. Both had been seriously injured it seemed and both had taken it very differently. While Conri appeared to be enjoying life just the same, the loss of her arm had taken Akassa to a dark place. Her loss to Aer Nin coupled with the injury had shown the female how weak she was despite all her pride. Such realization had led to more anger and the pursuit for power, both no doubt a contributing part to her reaction to Tsuyo's betrayal. Now, no matter how powerful she grew, Akassa planned to never stop gaining strength.
What the Queen wasn't aware of was how his story of the injuries he sustained was far beyond that of of a simple misfortune. Such details would no doubt reveal the fate of Ninjin, Celeh and the home planet of the Universal Church of One. In turn he might learn of what had transpired on New Vegeta and how different the kingdom he had come back to was. That was all yet to be revealed though, so much needing to be discussed between them yet with either unaware of the others tale. Akassa was not a believer in fate and destiny, not in the sense that it was controlled by the Universe and each creatures path was preordained, but those that argue for such a viewpoint could point to how intertwined recent events had become. Weren't Ninjin and Conri's separate, yet equally destined trips the perfect example of events beyond one's control? The debate could be endless.
For the time being though a smile remained on her face, the expression one only a handful of people ever see the Queen wear in any genuine respect. A friend had returned any although his body was not whole, his mind seemed to be.

Conri tended to have a unique way of dealing with issues to say the least, granted most might call it a strength of his, but really it was his own method for getting through whatever happened. If he took things too seriously then he would never be able to take another step forward with everything that had gone on up until this point, then again maybe it was a mix he could never tell himself. Still, she asked him for what had really happened and seemed to be worried about him, he supposed that he could tell her about what happened. He would eventually have to get around to it anyways given that he was here to explain what happened to the other two as well, no point in just halfassing things.
"Alright, I'll tell you," he started, trying to figure if he should give the full story or if he should just deal with the parts that concerned his arms and those that had died. It was probably best for the latter, no point in dragging everything out, but damn was he nervous about saying anything. He hated being the one that told others about their loved ones being dead, it ate at him a bit too much for his liking. "It happened while I was fighting the Cardinal of War for the Universal Church of One, he tried to trap my arms in his armor while he blasted a hole to the core and diving into it only to explode and try to take me with him. I had other plans, but the only way that I could get free was by cutting off my arms and launching in the opposite direction that he had been. Well, it did work, as I'm here and alive while he isn't." He took a breath though, he wasn't quite done with telling her what had happened, but he figured it was a good place to pause so that he could gather his thoughts for the next part.
"The other reason that I'm here is because I need to report on Ninjin and the female Saiyan that was sent with him. I am sorry to report that Ninjin has died in battle, trying to take out the Cardinal that we were fighting, but he helped me in defeating him by weakening his armor. As for the woman, I do not know for certain what happened to her, but if hers was one of the powers on the planet that went out then I fear that she too has died," he finished, giving Akassa some time to process everything that he had told her. It was probably hard to hear about ones own family and he was unsure if she knew the woman personally, but it was still not something to make light of here. Not even he was that tactless to make a stupid comment at this point, as it would only serve to hurt people and he couldn't do that to Akassa.
He would continue to wait in silence until she spoke to him or decided to do something, whether it be to hit him for not being able to protect Ninjin or something else. The Half-Saiyan had no problem with taking it if that turned out to be the case, but he figured he would let his fellow Half-Saiyan sort out her feelings before anything else happened.

Conri immediately had Akassa’s full attention. The mention of a Cardinal and the Universal Church of One the last thing she had expected to hear from him, not even thinking he had any knowledge of the organization. Blinking she says nothing as he continues. He had fought against such a powerful member of the group, but where? Had they come for the Omega Collective while she was preoccupied here? So many questions began to form in her mind as she contemplated what such attacks might mean. If the Church was seeking to reach out to other places so blatantly it was only a matter of time until they drew more to their cause. All questions were squelched though as he informs her that he had fought alongside her brother, Ninjin not having survived the battle. Celeh too had perished…not as surprising if she had been around foes strong enough to defeat her brother. The soldier was as brave as any Hattori.
From the moment she had taken the throne, Ninjin absent on his mission, she had wondered what his return might entail. Her actions were no doubt going to hit him hard yet they were justified. Even so she had expected him to be resistant to her rule, against the way she had ascended to the throne. Now, with his death a reality and not a possibility she found herself torn. He was family, her oldest brother; there was no denying that yet…he had tormented her for years. Only recently had he begun to treat her with any semblance of respect. She had felt they were starting a new chapter in their lives, but then she had found out about what their father and his mother had done. Considering how close Natisha and Ninjin had been, Akassa was all but certain he had known about it. Her mind unfairly having drawn that conclusion she had already been prepared to confront him about it.
Perhaps it was better he was not to return…after all such an honorable death was all a warrior could ask for. Celeh had perished in the same way, defending her people and carrying out her mission. Steeling her own resolve the Queen straightens, her stance having relaxed some as the news was revealed. Ninjin had despised her for years and Celeh had been forced into service, Akassa doubted either would have mourned her loss for long should she have been the one to perish. On top of it all, she was the Queen of New Vegeta and war was a part of her rule. She could not be pathetic enough to get weak in the knees every time a life was extinguished. There were bigger things at stake here than Ninjin and Celeh. The true question was, had they succeeded in their mission?
” The Church attacked New Vegeta and the two of them were sent to remove the organization from the Universe, planet and all. What is the state of the Universal Church of One’s homeworld, was it destroyed?”The response might not have been the words Conri was expecting her to speak. The way her expression set and not a tear formed in her eye made it easily distinguishable what her primary concerns were. Since his arrival Conri had seen how much had changed since his last visit, the city and palace under construction and rebuilt anew. Akassa herself had changed, the girlish side of her that the champion had sought after perhaps gone forever.

After he had told her of how he lost his arms, she seemed far more attentive with his story, almost a bit obsessive even if he had to make a guess about it. That was the first sign that something was off here, but he had no idea what it was right now what it could be. Still, he continued on with the story, though left out a few details mostly because he didn't think that they were all that important for telling her. The fact that they both turned super saiyan was important cause it let them actually have a chance, but in the end the story itself didn't change, so he simply dropped it out of the retelling. He did want to keep that a secret for as long as he could at least, the fewer people that knew the better in his mind, because it could come in handy at a later time especially as a surprise. It was an incredibly uphill battle against Invictus, however, thanks to what Ninjin did Conri had been able to push the Cardinal into a dangerous position that caused him to take such desperate actions.
When he explained what had happened to Ninjin and what he could of the other Saiyan that was there, he really needed to learn her name, it seemed that Akassa might at first be feeling sad. However, the brief hinting of sadness was immediately gone as she seemed to close off her own emotions before turning to him and telling him just what they had been sent to the planet to do. That was something he already knew given the words that his friend had used when they met up on the planet, it was a hard to miss thing. What caught him the most off guard was the way she seemed to ignore their deaths and instead ask if their planet was destroyed and to Conri that was something that shouldn't be sought after, "I suppose arms weren't the only things lost." His words were said in more of a whisper tone to himself, it seemed that there was a lot more wrong here than what he could see in the damaged landscape.
"The planet was destroyed by the Cardinal himself, and he didn't make it off world, but I don't believe that is the important matter here or the most appropriate. Your brother and the Saiyan that went with him are dead, they should be given proper funerals so that people can properly mourn for them and give them the respect that they deserve," it seemed strange that Akassa herself seemed to not want to mourn her own brother, and just glossed over the fact that he had said that both that were sent died. The female Saiyan couldn't have just been a generic soldier, being sent to a planet that was essentially fully of enemy soldiers, it just didn't seem right to ignore the sacrifice that they made for their people. Sighing softly, this was why he considered his human side stronger than the Saiyan side because he could actually have compassion for others, something which seemed most people simply gave up on too easily. Then again maybe it was just him that still believed in such a concept, as he had known humans that gave up on their compassion as well thinking that it was just something that weakened them.
His eyes softened, a concerned expression taking hold on his features as he looked at Akassa, hoping that she didn't throw away a part of herself in some vain attempt to be stronger. When you killed off a part of yourself, you only made yourself weaker, incomplete and that was something he hoped that no one he cared about would do to themselves. If she had maybe there would be a way for him to restore that part of her, but only time would tell, he would not give up on her though that was one thing he could never let himself do. (Hope this is good, it sounded so in my head, but who knows xD)

Not hearing his muttered words was probably for the best. The two of them were friends or at least had been in the past, yet since she had become Queen the half-saiyan had been far less relaxed when it came to how others addressed her. As the ruler of New Vegeta she commanded respect from everyone, including those she labeled as family or friends. Conri Lane was not one to often hold such rankings and positions high, which was no real fault of his own, but would lead to a clash between the two. The fact of the matter was they had been raised in vastly different worlds. While he believed in freedom and seeking out his own path in life tied to no others, Akassa was bound to New Vegeta. Now that she was Queen that binding was even stronger, her dedication to her home and people stopping nothing short of death.
Speaking of death it seemed this Cardinal that Ninjin and Conri had failed to outfight defeat had been weakened enough to fall to such desperate measures. In the end Ninjin and Celeh had succeeded in their mission, even if not with their own hands. The serious expression that had overtaken her features relaxed at the news, a small smile coming back to her lips with the knowledge the Universal Church of One’s home world had been obliterated. Glancing to her arm she was glad to see they had paid for the wrongs they had committed on New Vegeta and against her. Aer Nin and her lackeys had left the city in partial ruin and taken her arm…now they were all dead, at least as far as Akassa knew. The fact one Cardinal had been taken back to Alpha Prime and that Sebastian De’Vont had potentially escaped was still unknown…probably for the better.
”The loss of Ninjin and Celeh is regrettable, but like true warriors they died in service to their purpose. I will make sure that like Leke, they receive proper services for their dedication and devotion to New Vegeta. It is pleasing to hear that their actions led to the completion of their mission and I thank you for your help as well Conri. This will send a warning to others that might hope to attack my people. Cross New Vegeta and pay with your lives.” With a smile she turns from him to head back for her throne, waving with her hand so that he might follow and they could continue to talk.
”As for your own loss, I can recommend the best mind in artificial limbs that New Vegeta has to offer. He is the one that took care of me after the Church attacked. In about six hours or so they should have both hands attached and in proper working order if you wish Conri.” Her casual tone had returned and externally she seemed as if nothing was wrong. Internally though she was already thinking of her next moves. With the Universal Church of One gone she would need to focus more on the defenses of her home. Sure it would dissuade attacks in most cases, but for a few it would give them more reason. Many often sought to succeed where others had failed and over the years New Vegeta had developed its share of enemies, that group not limited to the Church.

It hadn't been too long but a lot had changed over that short period to the Half-Saiyan...no, he should say Half-Saiyans, as it seemed there was a lot that happened to Akassa as well. What was changed and to what degree it was changed would be discovered as they continued to talk, but so far it seemed that there was something lost from the Half-Saiyan in front of him. She seemed to care so little about her family, yet the Akassa from before had cared very much for them, what had happened that had made her heart so cold? What's worse is that the more she spoke about the incident on the planet, the more he saw that she had become a much different person and not for the better in his mind. That she thought there was a good thing to come out of a planet being destroyed showed that there was definitely something not right. He had seen the beginning effects of it, the fact that he watched even a portion of the events that took place as the planet died told him there would never be anything good from that kind of destruction.
"I'd say their death's being regrettable would be an understatement regardless of whatever cause they died. Like Leke? What are you talking about?" he was curious as to what she had meant by that, he never met the youngest of the Hattori, but he had heard plenty about him. However, by the way Akassa was talking he was now dead, but what had happened to cause that? Was it the attack by the Church or was it something else entirely that killed the Saiyan? His thoughts were interrupted when Akassa thanked him for playing a part in the destruction of the planet and his body went rigid at that.
"Don't thank me for such a despicable action, if I could have prevented it, I would have. Nothing like that should ever happen," his tone was dead serious, one of the rare times where the playful tone that normally filled his voice was nowhere to be found. With what he had seen of it, it was something that no one should have to experience no matter who they were, but it seemed that Akassa and the Church both shared similar views that seemed to deem destroying a planet acceptable. What the hell had happened to her? He was sure she would see things differently if it was New Vegeta that was to be destroyed, so why were so many people taking a hypocritical stance about such an atrocity.
"So, you want to send the message of an eye for an eye? Does that hold true for those that Saiyans have wronged then? If so, it won't be long before the universe is filled with blind people," a bit more of a joking tone, but it was less joyous with a hint of sadness or possibly disappointment. So many people were far too eager to spill blood at anything, and there were plenty of Saiyans that had wronged others that people could use to retaliate against New Vegeta. That was why revenge was pointless all it did was give cause for others to seek revenge, and it was a stupid loop that wouldn't stop until everyone was eventually dead.
"No thank you, I already have someone in mind that would be able to create arms for me, in the meantime I will deal with getting a hand now and then," another little joke. If there was anyone that could make the highest quality of arms for him, it would be that person because he knew more about the Half-Saiyan than anyone else ever likely would. However, he wasn't sure just how Akassa would react to his words so he moved at a slower pace, if she wanted him to leave that would be her choice. He had never been one to mince words with whoever he had been talking to, not even Tsuyo was an exception to that, he had told the Saiyan King that he would not help him enslave others if that was what he wanted for Conri. Which did remind him about something else, now that he thought about it.
"Where are Tsuyo and Natisha? Not that I miss the egotistical ramblings of Natisha mind you," he figured they'd be here and all given that this was the throne room.

Casually making her way up the stairs Akassa listened to his words. With deliberate steps she rose to the top of the dais before turning to take a seat in her throne. The more she listened to his words the more she realized how out of touch he was with what had gone on when he was away. Conri had been another she had held in high regard after the tournament, his opinion and words holding merit with the then Princess and now Queen. Out of respect she did not interrupt him despite his apparent disapproval with what she had allowed to happen and how she had chosen to react to his news. He was entitled to his own opinion, even if it was wrong. Resting in her chair she slowly crosses her left leg over the other, eyes resting on him as he finally mentions Tsuyo and Natisha…that almost brought a smirk to her face.
”An eye for an eye? No, not everything must be repaid in turn, but I will not sit by and let my people get attacked and do nothing. The Universal Church of One attacked New Vegeta and almost cost all of us our lives. I would not have them be allowed to live after such a crime. Do you not see my arm? One of their Cardinals’s burned it from my shoulder before we managed to defeat her. Such attacks on New Vegeta cannot be allowed, the destruction of their planet was a must to show the Universe that we are not to be taken lightly. I believe others will think twice about attacking the Saiyan people now.” Her tone remained level now, what she was saying her true belief. Taking out the Church had not been excessive to her, but a necessity.
”As for Tsuyo and Natisha…they are dead, as is Leke. While you were away I discovered that Tsuyo and Natisha had been lying to the people and to me. From a young age I had been told my human mother was banished to Earth, something I had come to accept. Yet I had always wanted to meet her at least know what she looked like for the sake of knowing my birth mother. My research led me to discover the awful truth, she hadn’t been banished, but she had been murdered in response to orders given by Natisha. I am not the only victim of the crimes, but the only one with enough power to confront them about it. When I did Tsuyo admitted it was the truth and even admitted his own knowledge of the events. I then demanded justice in the execution of Natisha who had so abused her power, yet he would not allow it. The King sought to let this all slide and protect the wench, something I simply could not allow. In my attempts to deliver justice Tsuyo fell, as well as Leke who got caught into the crossfire. The latter was a most unfortunate event, but something I cannot undo.” The Queen pausing for a moment to let all she had said sink in.
”I am Queen now Conri, I rule over New Vegeta.” Everything had been laid before him, a summary of what had happened since his last departure. The harsh reality was that Akassa and Nasu Hattori were the only two left of the royal line. Ninjin had died in service to New Vegeta while Natisha, Tsuyo and Leke had fallen at Akassa’s hands. In the short time he had been away the whole makeup of New Vegeta had changed.

"So your answer to getting attacked by a group of people that are monsters for the things they do his to retaliate with an action that paints Saiyans as monsters as well? You realize that right now you sound just like Invictus as well, the Cardinal that I fought? With your talk of allowing others to live, as if it's something that you have a right to control. I guess it's a good that there were no innocent people on the planet when it did get destroyed, it's the one thing I will give respect to him about. Also, if anything all your intended attack did was likely escalate things with the Church by giving them something they can use to recruit people," so in turn, all that happened was a strengthening of the enemy that she had wanted so much to eliminate. He really couldn't understand how anyone could think that mass murder as a response to being attacked or just mass murder in general was an acceptable thing. It just reinforced his belief that he needed to become that much stronger to protect the Earth from such people otherwise it would wind up suffering a similar fate. He then listened to what she said regarding Tsuyo, Natisha, and even Leke though she didn't say it outright he had an idea of what happened involving all of them.
"I am sorry to heart about your mother, I didn't realize Natisha herself was such a corrupt individual that she would resort to murder over petty things. As for Tsuyo, did he say why that it was that he wanted to protect her? I can't assume that it was for no reason, and that doesn't seem the case with him either," while he didn't know him quite that well, it was obvious that a lot of his actions were backed by some sort of belief. Mostly to do with protecting the people of New Vegeta, or possibly his family. When she continued to explain things he nodded, "So you had the power to fight Tsuyo head on, and Leke got in the crossfire? I'm also guessing you had a hard time controlling the heightened aggression of the form as well, right?"
It wasn't a secret to him as to what would cause something like that since he and Ninjin had obtained that form as well while they were on Mement Mor, it was the only thing that saved them from being completely outmatched against Invictus. Conri knew firsthand about the increased aggression as well, as he almost made a mistake himself while under the influence of the power, another thing he actually had to thank Invictus for stopping. Then she finally mentioned that she was now the Queen of New Vegeta, he had kind of figured that with the last bit about Tsuyo and Natisha anyways.
"Well, then as a friend I'll give you advice that every leader should keep in mind. Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely, so be careful to not let yourself fall into that," it wasn't a threat or anything of the sort. It was meant as genuine advice that she would hopefully take seriously and not just brush off, but it was getting harder to tell just where she fell with things.

”My answer is to make sure that no others think us such an easy target in the future. You would have me instead to do nothing? Let all those that seek us harm see there is no danger in doing so? I would not invite such violence on my people. The Universal Church of One hates us for their own reasons; there is nothing I could do to lessen that hate so I chose to attack in response. With their planet gone their people are scattered and it will be years before they recover and regroup, perhaps even longer. The Church will not threaten my people again.” Her tone grew serious as she spoke, the Queen seeing the purpose behind her words and actions even if Conri Lane did not. Tsuyo had been the one to order the initial attack and she had chosen not to recall it. At least in that act the two Hattori had seen eye to eye.
When he comments about Natisha and asks of Tsuyo the Queen couldn’t help but snort. Her father had jumped to the wench’s defense as if she had done nothing wrong. So afraid to admit his own flaws he would rather engage his first born than bring light upon all that he had done. Eyes shifting away from Conri only to soon shift back, she slowly shakes her head in disgust. ”He wanted to protect her because of the stain such accusations put on his own namesake. Tsuyo could not admit how wrong he had been and how heinous the acts were he had allowed happen under his own roof. I sought only to deliver justice against Natisha and he refused to stand down. With his dedication to the whore running so he deep he would rather see me removed from this world than admit the crimes she committed warrant justice. He spoke of the duties of a King while at the same time disregarded them.”
Anger seeping into her voice the Queen missed his comment about the form, not even thinking about the fact she had gone Super Saiyan. Already having gotten used to wielding such power she hardly thought of it as anything knew. The strength provided by such a transformation had seen her through the trial, yet she already considered it a full part of her, something she had earned instead of been granted. If it weren’t Conri Lane speaking to her now, a man she allowed more freedoms than most, he would have probably already been dismissed.
”I am not as weak as my father. You may not agree with my actions towards the Universal Church of One, but corruption does not lie at its core, only reason and justice. It is no fault of mine that you do not see it.” Her words would come across quite harsh, but it was not exactly focused on him. The memory of Natisha and Tsuyo’s actions struck deeply at Akassa, her desire for the love of her family shattered that day when their true natures had been revealed. If Conri saw her as a ruthless monster, she was the creation of those that had been closest to her.

"No, your answer would have made Saiyans something for others to keep their eye on in case you got too out of hand. You don't have to do nothing, but blowing up a planet is the worst possible option because you just lowered yourself to their level. You want to make sure that people realize you're not to be messed with rather than just proving the Church right about you? Go after the ones responsible for the attack. The Cardinals, bishops, etc; you can even go after who is at the top of the food chain," was it really that hard to understand something so simple? Just cause one had the power to destroy didn't mean one should whenever they felt like it. There was only one real saving grace in this whole situation, "It's just a good thing that Saiyans can't claim responsibility for the planet's destruction, I'll make sure of that as well. As for scattering them, I highly doubt that, there are at least five more Cardinals out there besides whoever might be above them. Also given that they were willing to destroy their own planet, it's unlikely that it'll scatter them and I doubt it would dissuade them either."
When she began to talk about what went on between Tsuyo, Natisha, and herself the Half-Saiyan would listen but he would also maintain a level of skepticism now. If she thought destroying a planet was an appropriate response, then it was likely that things weren't entirely the way she was explaining them either, something was definitely off with her behavior. At least compared to the Akassa that he had talked to before leaving, she had even started to come around to his own antics some since the last time they had met she had even made a flirty remark towards him. As she continued to speak, he could also hear the anger that seemed to lurk within her and knew all to well what holding onto anger like that could do. "Well, it doesn't sound like there was much choice in the matter, but it seems like it was resolved all the same at least," he paused wondering how best to ask why she continued to hold onto her anger like she clearly was with the rage in her voice. Although, he was never very good on the whole tact part, so it was likely just going to come out in a worse way if he tried to ask in a different manner than he normally did.
"Okay, so why are you holding onto all that anger since you delivered justice to both Tsuyo and Natisha?" he was genuinely curious as to why she continued to hold it if she already dealt with both Tsuyo and Natisha. There should be no more reason to keep that anger anymore, but as was evident when she spoke, she continued to hold onto it. Though that wasn't the important part either, since she had said something else that really got to him even more, and that was the fact that she seemed to believe that there was reason and justice in genocide.
"Reason and justice in genocide via exploding a planet? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...oh wait, you're serious let me laugh even harder, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Reason and justice have nothing to do with genocide, if you think that they do then I truly feel sorry for you," it was a shame that it seemed she truly believed that killing defenseless people was any kind of justice or had any real reason behind it. The fact was that she was just acting exactly like a member of the Church would act against the Saiyans or any other halfbreed, thinking taking innocent lives was justified for any reason, it was that thinking that wound him up where he was now in his life.

”You do not understand what it is you speak about Conri. I did what was best for the people, what they wanted in return for what has been lost. Try walking the streets and ask how they feel about the loved ones they lost. Ask if they would prefer I do nothing in retribution for the wrongs committed against them. None will support your opinion Conri. I act for more than just myself now, the people of New Vegeta look to me for guidance and protection as they once did my father. You shall see, the Church will not shrug this loss of easily, the destruction of a planet is no small thing as you have admitted. If others come I will deal with them the same. I will not be caught off guard as my father was nor will I allow more suffering to befall my people if my hands can prevent it. “ As hard as they may have been to swallow, her words were the truth. All of the people had supported the decision and even still backed her rule.
Many had been skeptical at first, her ascension not your typical one, yet when the truth had been revealed about what Natisha and Tsuyo had done none had spoken against her. Soldiers, those positioned amongst the populace in secret, had reported the same, approval for what she had done and was doing to better their home. There were always a few outliers no matter how popular a ruler, but the majority of the Saiyan people supported their Queen and the order she had not retracted to destroy the Universal Church of One’s planet. The Saiyan people wanted vengeance and she was going to give it to them.
His question about why she was still angry and the fact he found such amusement in justice she spoke of strangely enough had her smirking.
”Feel sorry all you want Conri, the order was not given by me, but I saw it was not altered. Again I implore you to go and ask the people what they would have wanted done. Look into the eyes of those that have lost their families and explain how just letting it go is the just way. Perhaps their anger will disappear as well when you enlighten them in how they should be feeling after such a tragedy. From your own mouth words suggest that we target only the Cardinals. By that logic you propose taking the lives of a few is alright? Killing their leaders would silence them for a short time, but others would rise up and rebuild. Then, when they do so and attack again would the lives lost in their wake be worth having spared them? It shocks me that you speak of sparing the members of the Church and seemed to care so little about those I hold close to my heart. So go ahead and laugh while the people around you suffer.” With the anger he had questioned there was also pain. Like the people of New Vegeta she had suffered from the attacks and in more ways than just the injury to her pride. He knew of her dedication to the crown when she had been Princess, the fact she was not Queen only strengthening her resolve.
To the side of the throng General Toa, the soldier that had yet to be introduced sat in silence. Arms crossed over his muscular chest the male remains silent, his opinion of Conri Lane yet a mystery.

"I don't understand what I'm speaking about?! I lost every goddamn thing to those fucking bastards, and you're going to tell me I don't understand a thing about what happened here? I understand perfectly, but I've also got enough goddamn sense in my head to not want to become exactly like the church which is what a genocidal attack does to you. I never once said do nothing, but if you're going to do something use your damn head a little, you think acting like they would makes you better than them? It makes you the exact same as them, sure they may not shrug it off, but if you think this will weaken them any than you are just deluding yourself. They still have plenty of people to fight for them and they still have whoever is in charge, they will rebuild and become stronger, the next attack might not end as well for the Saiyan people," his fist would be clenched if they could be, that comment of him not understanding how the people felt was complete and utter bullshit. His own anger at what was said coming through, while he might have let go of the anger surrounding the events having his own experiences insulted was something that could still get him riled up rather well.
Taking a few deep breaths he tried to calm himself down again, but the arrogance to assume that they were the only ones to lose something or that losing something made it alright for them to kill others in return. This was the one of the downsides to not having arms right now, there was not even a temporary outlet for his anger, he would just have to hold it and try to let it out later before it built up. It wasn't helping that she was trying to act like the attack gave them any right to take the lives of other innocents, it was rather saddening really. It seemed that the Saiyans would be doomed to repeat history.
"Whether you made the initial decision or not doesn't matter, it's still a stupid call. I don't have to ask anyone, I know what it feels like, and regardless of how asinine you're trying to be by trying to say my argument is to let it go, I didn't say to let it go. You're saying that killing billions is better than killing a few? See, I can do it too. Also, why are you acting like they aren't rising up and rebuilding right now? Do you honestly think that blowing up a planet would ever make them reconsider attacking? Hell no, all you just did was convince any of the civilians that Saiyans are dangerous and strengthen their belief in Aon. At least taking on just the Cardinal proves that you aren't barbarians that will attack innocent people because of your self-inflated egos that believe you have the right to do so. You know, it's funny, you talk about Tsuyo and Natisha committing crimes by killing innocent people, and yet you're just as bad by believing you somehow have the right to do so as well. Here I thought Saiyans were supposed to be warriors that had some sense of pride and honor, not cowards that resort to killing innocent people because they were wronged," his tone was dead serious, and even a bit challenging. She was arguing having some right to take innocent lives, but if that was the case, they weren't warriors they were just simple warmongers looking for a fight. He was going to make sure that Saiyans wouldn't get any credit for the destruction of Mement Mor either, Invictus was the one responsible for that.
"You know, there was another ruler that tried to dominate through power, he destroyed a planet as well. That decision didn't turn out so well for him in the end, something you might want to consider as well," if she knew her history then she would likely know who he was talking about, how she took to that was up to her. Right now Conri was not about pulling his punches even with his words, if she thought there was justice in killing billions of innocent lives then he would call her out on it. (Btw, not sure if this last part is acurate in terms of history, if it needs changing lemme know)
