It was your average day on New Vegeta. A couple of lower class Saiyan warriors sat in their chairs inside the spaceport, looking over the control console. Their job, at least for today, was to direct the traffic going in and out of New Vegeta, typically in the form of Saiyan space pods. After all, they had to avoid an accident now didn’t they? “So, anything new?” Asked one of the Saiyans, as he idly stared over the console. “Nah, nothing out of the usual.” He spoke, just before one of the screens began flashing, and a warning light started going off. “Wait, what?” He asked, before leaning in closer. The radar showed a Saiyan space pod closing in on the space port, and moving very fast. Too fast.
Scrambling for the radio, the saiyan pressed down on the button. “Attention space pod! You’re moving way too fast! Slow your craft down immediatly!” The craft didn’t slow down. Not that it could, with the state it’s passenger was in. Upon realizing that the craft wasn’t going to stop, the Saiyans looked at eachother. “Evacuate the landing pad! We can't let it hit anyone! We can repair whatever it damages after it stops!” The other Saiyan spoke out, and the first Saiyan begrudgingly complied. “This is gonna be a pain…” He groaned out, as he pressed a few buttons on the command console. Flashing lights and warning sirens blared
All the people on the pad quickly up'd and left the pad to avoid the falling space pod. Upon getting closer, it appeared that the space pod was spinning! It had no control over it’s functions any more, as it was decades old and battered from years of neglect. Rusted and old, this was that space pods last flight. It flew right into the hatch, before crashing straight into the space port! The whole of New Vegeta would be rocked as the impact happened, and several saiyan warriors gathered around the pod, charging energy beams, ready to blast anything that came out.

Bent forward, arms wresting along the railing that lined her balcony, Akassa watched the city that spread out below her. All seemed peaceful today, the general populace going about its daily business and the well oiled machine that was the military functioning as smoothly as ever. Letting out a long sigh she shifts her attention to the sky, eyeing the clouds that floated above the structures below. They were strangely thick this night, cutting off the view of the starts beyond. Attention drifting for a moment, the Queen’s eyes widen when something breaks through them. A falling object parts them like Ki blast through dust and continued on toward the city below.
Eyes darting downwards she calculates it trajectory, it was heading right towards the spaceport. That was the very first place the Universal Church of One had targeted during their attack, could this be a second? Launching from the balcony into the air, her golden aura ignites in an instant. Power spiking to over four million, the Saiyan Queen takes off towards the station with the speed of a comet. If the Church had dared to attack her here, they would be annihilated before ever stepping foot out of their ship.
Meanwhile all the Saiyan soldiers that had surrounded the pod held their energy blasts ready, prepared for any sign of movement or hostile action. All in the military alive today knew the horror that had befallen them and none planned to be caught off guard a second time. After a moment nothing moved and no hatch hissed up, the soldiers looked to each other as if unsure of what to do. The senior among them nodded towards the door, indicating that one of his juniors check it out. The lowest ranking among them nods slowly, before heading forward. Cautiously he steps across the rubble, hand reaching for the release button. With a quick tap, he jumps back and away, wanting to be clear of any potential threat.

The space pod hissed and creaked as it slowly opened. The junior Saiyan who had opened the pod, a young child of only about 16, pointed his palm at the pod, a white energy blast ready to annihilate anything inside. The pod fully opened now, and the young saiyans eyes widened. His arm dropped, and he ran towards the pod, reaching inside and pulling out an older, taller man with a brown tail, dressed in tattered torn clothes. “He’s a Saiyan!” The private shouted out, looking up at his superiors. “Get a medical unit! Now!” The captain shouted as the private floated into the air, holding the unconscious mystery man over his shoulder. The mans body was totally limp, but he was still breathing, if only barely. “Well that explains why his pod didn’t slow down…” Another man commented.
Soon enough a couple of women in medical uniforms walked up to the man, and placed him on a stretcher. The captain turned as they carried him away, looking up at the gold-clad Queen that floated above them. “Your highness!” The man spoke, giving the Saiyan salute. “My apologies for having this disturb you! It appears one of our men was injured and crashed, most likely returning from a mission. He’s very badly beaten so we’re taking him to the hospital!”
As he was carried off, one of the soldiers went to grab the Space Pod and move it out of the way so they could start repairs to the crash site. That was when they noticed something under the rust. Paint? On a space pod? He started wiping the rust away from the door, when his eyes widened. He turned back to Akassa. “Your highness, take a look at this.” He asked, as he stepped, aside, pointing to the Hattori mark on the mans space pod. “What do you think this means?” He asked out of curiosity, unsure of what to say.

Floating above the collection of soldiers below, Akassa radiated power. Her Legendary Super Saiyan form gave her the image that the rumors about her had created. Normally she was a bit on the small side, thin and lean and hardly physically intimidating in terms of stature. Now though, she stood several inches over 6’4” and thicker than her normal build. In fact, the increased size of her ascended form made even her brothers look small. Glowing eyes focused on those below she had one brow raised, unsure of whom this injured Saiyan might be. With her senses able to read his power signature, it had been clear as she approached he was no android, that being the reason she had not slammed down into the space port at full speed.
”It is no bother, I was already on my way of my own accord. Please update me on his condition and inform me when he has woken up.” Figuring her time here done, Akassa begins to turn away, fully intent on heading straight back to her private quarters within the castle. At least she had a moment of excitement, tending to her everyday activities tended to grow stale rather quickly. Part of her wished this had been a foe, someone to unleash her power on and further test her skills. Of course she did not want any of her subjects to lose their lives, but a good fight never hurt anyone…well rarely.
Golden aura disappearing, she starts to move when she is addressed once more. Looking back she cranes her neck a little to see where the soldier was pointing, casually dropping out of the sky to see. When she drew close enough, her eyes widen like the guards had a moment ago. The Hattori emblem was on the side of the pod. Either this male was somehow tied to the Hattori name or he had taken the life of someone that was. Whichever it was, she would be talking to them as soon as he awake. ”There has been a change in plans. Take him to the healing chambers within the palace, I will have my personal guard watch over him until he awakes.”

“Yes Ma’am!” The captain said as he turned to his subordinates, who were already flying the injured man to the royal compound. One of the doctors was checking over the man mid-flight, and deduced that his insides were badly beaten up and he had tons of busted bones. Typical, Saiyan men never did know when to give up.
------THREE HOURS LATER-----
Toma was suspended in the healing pod, his mouth covered by a plastic mouthpeice that fed oxygen to him. The green liquid had been soothing his pain and healing his wounds, and more or less, all of his wounds had healed. Even his broken bones, which would normally take weeks, had healed back in place in mere hours!
His eyes slowly opened inside the pod as bubbles rose up around him. His hair was floating above his head, and he felt a little slugish and at peace. He was confused as to where he was. He looked around, turning his head left and right, though he was a tad sore due to being still for so long. Out of the corner of her eye, the doctor noticed the movement within the healing tank. Getting up and walking over to the pod from her seat, she smiled and pressed a button, causing the green liquids to flush from the pod. “Finally awake, hm?” She asked, as Toma removed his mouthpiece and stepped out of the pod. They hadn’t bothered to remove his clothes. He quickly kicked up his energy for a moment in order to dry himself off, and began streching. He didn’t really feel threatened here. The place felt… oddly familiar.
Meanwhile, one of Akassa’s guards was surely telling her the man had just woken up.

Having retired to her personal quarters once more, Akassa hears a solid knock on her door. “My Queen, the man from the spaceport has awoken. He seems to be in stable condition considering how rough that landing was.” Allowing a moment of silence to make sure he was done updating her the Queen then responds. ”Very well, I will be down in a moment. Thank you.” No words came back through the door, but she did hear footsteps repeating as he made his way back down the hall.
Shoving up from her seat she heads towards the door and shoves it open. Not in a rush, knowing the male was most likely still within the tank if he had just woken up, he wasn’t going anywhere. This was not to say she didn’t have questions for him. The fact the Hattori symbol had been on the side of his pod was what generated most of her interest. Having thought about it more, she had come to realize it might just be a pod sanctioned by the royal family before her ascension to the throne. Her father of even Natisha might have made it so for reasons unknown to her. Of course, she planned to find out for sure soon enough.
Entering the royal medical bay, the one usually set aside for those close and trusted by the Queen, Akassa nods to the doctor before her eyes shift to the male. ”I am Queen Akassa Hattori and you have crashed landed on my home, New Vegeta. You now have a chance to explain yourself and explain why the pod you arrived in has the Hattori symbol etched on its side. Make sure to be detailed in your explanation for it might be important and vital to the both of us.” Casually her arms cross over her chest as one hip juts out to the side, the Queen taking her standard casual stance.

“Can you speak?” The doctor asked him as she sat back down in her chair, her tail idly swaying back and fourth. Toma looked back over to her. “Of course I can speak. Why wouldn’t I be able to?” He asked, and she turned back to her monitor, pressing a button, showing the pod just after the crash. “You were in a really bad space pod crash. You landed at the space port going way too fast. It’s a miracle you’re even alive right now.” She spoke, as Toma stared at the screen. “Do you know where you are?” She asked, continuing her basic evaluation to make sure his brain wasn’t damaged. “No, I don’t. The last thing I remember is being in a massive fight… I got badly hurt and passed out. Then I woke up in that tank.” He said, as he leaned against one of the beds.
“Hmm…” The doctor hummed out. “Our engineers accessed the pods black box while you were out. It appears that about 19 years ago, the pod was sent to a planet called Sylor. Sound familiar?” She spoke, and Toma nodded. “Yes… That’s the planet where I grew up.” He spoke, and she sighed. “That explains it. You were sent there as a baby… That explains the mark on your pod, too…” She spoke, rubbing a hand across her forehead.
“You got into a fight with someone who attacked your world and got beaten badly. Somehow, you wound up in your pod and the emergency launch protocol activated and you got flown back here to New Vegeta. This is where you were born and is currently the home of the Saiyans. I assume you don’t know what a Saiyan is… It’s what you are. I’m one too. As is our Queen and everyone else here. You can tell who Saiyans are by our tails.” She spoke, as her tail slid out from her jacket in demonstration. Toma looked back at his own tail. “I see…” He spoke, trying to take it all in.
He had assumed that his family members from Sylor had put him into the pod. That was the only logical explanation. It was at this point that the Queen had walked into the room and demanded to know everything Toma knew about his pod. He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. “Hey, I’m just as lost as you are.” He spoke, before the Doctor stood up, giving a respectful bow to the Queen. “Your Highness, while he was unconcious… I ran a blood test to find out who he is. It appears he was sent off world as a baby, probably for having a low power level… I just got the results back.” She spoke, before turning the screen to her. “He’s your half brother, ma’am. And he’s half-saiyan, just like you.”

Through the exchange Akassa stood in silence, listening to the boys answers as well as the doctors questions. None of it really made sense. He was quite obviously a Saiyan, yet he seemed to know nothing about their race. It was if he had never been among his own kind before. What other race had he fit in with that had not known about the Saiyan’s? As far as Akassa knew their people populated the stars, Saiyans and Half-Saiyans spread throughout the known systems. This Sylor was a distant sphere she had seen mentioned in reports before, but nothing very descriptive about it. From the lack of information she figured it was a dead world, not even worthy of investigating for resources.
By the sounds of it the planet wasn’t as empty as she had assumed, considering the last thing he remember was a massive engagement. It was very possible that beings alien to Sylor had been the ones to start the combat, but unless they were fighting another foreign force there must have been natives. Quite interesting…and someone had helped him escape as well. As a Queen now she had to wonder what ties this might leave them with to this distant place, Akassa of course not knowing the entire world was now gone. When addressed she glances over to the Doctor, brow lifting at the mention of the blood test.
She couldn’t believe what she heard.
”He is a Hattori? Are you sure the blood sample was not contaminated in anyway? While the family crest was on his pod and with how…active my father was, it still seems farfetched. Run it again.” Akassa usually trusted those in her service, all loyal to her and having proved that they stood for the Imperium alongside her, yet this was a bit hard to swallow. Her royal bloodline, one held by only a few living individuals now, held power and influence. For a brother to quite literally fall from the sky was highly unlikely. If it was true though…he was another bastard of Tsuyo and she knew well what that felt like.

Toma watched the exchange between Akassa and the doctor. The Queen seemed to be in disbelief about Toma’s Hattori heritage. Not that Toma particularly cared. Having been raised around Lizard people, Toma learned to look past the outer shell of someone and how to deal with not fitting in. He had only been fully accepted by the people of Sylor due to his kind and gentle nature, even if he was half Saiyan. Though he still fully experienced the Saiyan thrill and rush of a battle.
The doctor nodded as the Queen ordered her to run the blood test again. She had, of course, made sure that it hadn’t been contaminated but she understood the Queens desire to make sure. If this man that had landed on their small planet was a Hattori, then he had a lot to learn, and fast. He’d need to become strong enough to defend himself against any who held ill will towards the Hattori name. Like his sister, he’d need to be able to become a Super Saiyan.
She turned back to her desk, and started running the blood test again. On the other screen, she pulled up documents about the Hattori family. If this boy was indeed a son of Tsuyo, then there should be a record about it somewhere. “How old are you?” The doctor asked. “Nineteen.” Toma replied. “What’s your name?” She asked. “Toma.” He replied again, and soon enough a page was pulled up that showed a picture of a baby Saiyan sitting in a medical wing crib, crying. There were also records of an acquisition of a space pod and a readout of the baby’s power level, of merely 500, was shown in the picture. “My queen, what do you make of all this?” She asked, scooting her chair to the side so the Queen could see the information better.

Arms crossed over her chest, Akassa again observed as the doctor ran her fingers over the terminal pad. Sorting through the information in a search for some sort of proof she would eventually find the photo. The child it was focused on was undeniably a Saiyan, his hair and tail making that quite obvious. Although a newborn in the image the facial structure and hair were the same, the Queen’s eyes darting back and forth between the two make sure. Clicking her tongue once she steps closer as the other female moves aside. Peering into the eyes of the baby she compares them to his, they were the same.
”Remarkable. To think Tsuyo would have sent one of his bastards to such a distant planet…and one with nothing to contribute to the crown. It must have been Natisha’s doing, trying to cover up yet another bastard of a murdered mother. Very well.” Clicking her tongue as she digests the information she soon pulls away from the computer. Many might think such a revelation and finding of a long lost sibling might require more time to recover from. Those people didn’t know the Saiyan Queen. Always a blunt woman and endlessly confident, she rarely hesitated to move forward. The image, the symbol and the story all added up, this boy was her half brother.
”Toma was it? Do you recall if that was your Saiyan given name or one you picked up along the way? Either way, I am Queen Akassa Hattori, Queen of the Saiyan Imperium and your older sister.” He most likely didn’t remember his Saiyan name, unless it had been written down somewhere in the pod or on an item sent with him. Realistically the name was probably lost to time if he was truly 19 years old. Then again, Tsuyo and Natisha might not have even named him; thinking sending him far into space would solve all their problems. Those two were despicable.

Toma turned as the Queen addressed him. His mother had been murdered? Well that was truley unfortunate. Toma had almost been looking forward to meeting his blood family. Though there was nothing he could do about it now. While he was saddened by the fact that he’d never meet the people that birthed him, he wasn’t particularly attached to them either. He smiled as she introduced herself. Not a smile out of merely being polite, but a genuine smile, not commonly seen amongst Saiyans. “Nice to meet you, Queen. Or can I just call you Akassa? Sorry, I’m not particularly used to dealing with royalty. Never had them on Sylor.” He said, shrugging.
The doctor then turned to Toma, having put a scouter on that was laying on her desk. “Hold still for a moment, Toma.” She spoke, and Toma looked back at her… “Uhh… alright.” He spoke, as she pressed a button on the side and the Scouter made its traditional beeps while reading his power level. Eventually, it settled on 26,000. “26,000 huh? That’s not too bad, all things considered.” She spoke, setting the scouter down. She turned back to the queen. “So what shall we do with him? At his current level he’s not going to compare to you or your brother Ninjin. He’s going to need heavy training in order to become a Super Saiyan like you, your highness.” She spoke. Toma piped up at this. “What’s a Super Saiyan…?” He asked, before a loud growling sound filled the room, eminating from Toma’s stomach. His eyes widened in embarassment and his cheeks turned a tad red.
He started to rub the back of his head and he began laughing nervously some. “Well this all seems fun and good and all, but can we get something to eat? I’m starving!” Toma exclaimed, laughing still.

This boy Toma was apparently her flesh and blood. Deciding to trust in her people, as she always did, the Queen was ready to take the good Doctor's word for it. A ruler and a warrior, the intricacies of science were beyond her, that being a major reason that Maya had been recruited in the first place. The alien girl did much for the Imperium, regulating it's intranets and monitor countless security devices throughout the planet. With all that under the ever watchful girls eye, Akassa had time to focus on the bigger picture. She was the one moving things forward for the Saiyan people, her will an extension of the Imperium itself. Together, along with her other dependable allies they made up the heart of the Imperial Saiyan Legion.
"You may call me Akassa, we are siblings after all. That being said, do not forget I am also your Queen. I do not expect you to grovel at my feet, but I require the proper respect for my station...not to mention I am your older sister." The small wink that came with the end of her statement implied she was aiming for a small joke, humor being an area that Akassa was usually lacking in. A moment after Toma had been looked upon with a kind eye, the Queen was turning a shallow glare upon the Doctor. The females intent had been to inform the Queen of her brothers power, yet it was quite presumptuous to think Akassa didn't already know it. Able to read signatures naturally, she was fully away of the boys current strength. She needed no suggestions from a doctor.
Thankfully Toma's growling stomach saved the woman from any sort of reprimand.
"Testing you on the field will come soon enough, then I shall explain what a Super Saiyan is. First, let's get you some food. I am sure it has been awhile since you ate anything considering the state we found you in. Walk with me and tell me more of this planet you came from." With a motion of her hand she turns to leave the medical bay, expecting him to follow. As the doors hiss open again she would lead him into the hall, turning right in order to heads towards the palace kitchen. Saiyans could eat, there was no doubt in that, but her fully stocked pantries could offer him all he desired and more. In the mean time, she wanted to learn more about her brother.

Toma walked with his sister after she explained her station on New Vegeta, as well as how he should address her. She wanted to know of his past, and he brought a hand up to his chin. “Well now, let’s see… where to start…” He hummed out to himself for a moment. “Well as we figured out, I was sent to Sylor when I was an infant.” He began, recalling his earliest memories of fighting his adoptive father. “I don’t remember much of it. The earliest thing I can recall is fighting my adoptive father when I was about four years old.” He spoke, recalling his past. “The Sylurians, as they called themselves, were a race of lizard-like people. They were very kind and gentle people, though they did have many fierce fighters among them to defend their home. When I found out I had a natural affinity for fighting, I was sent to their dojo to train. I trained there for thirteen years before I finally returned home, having reached what I felt was my peak. I couldn’t seem to go any higher.” He continued, as they reached the kitchen. Of course he’d let Akassa take her seat at the table first, knowing that she probably had her own people to cook for her.
He’d then take a seat close to her, on her left side so that they could continue talking. No doubt the waiter would come by and ask Toma and Akassa what they’d like. After ordering, Toma would go back to his story. “So I spent the next few years hanging around home. I had my own place, learned to cook for myself, and kept up my training in between hunting sessions. I was going to be more than happy just relaxing there for the rest of my life, but then a band of space pirates attacked my home.” He spoke, his right hand clenching into a fist. “I fought with everything I had in me to defend my home, but in the end, I was defeated. There were too many of them. I killed all of them but… it was too late. The damage to the planet had been done… I can’t imagine it didn’t explode.” He spoke, sighing. “The Sylurians were an advanced race with space travel, so I imagine most of them got off the planet too…”

Taking her seat when they arrived at the kitchen, Akassa remained silent. The entire walk she had kept her mouth shut, letting Toma explain his past in order to give her some idea of where her brother had been all these years. For the most part it seemed he had done quite well considering he had no Saiyans to teach him the ins and outs of his race. These Sylurians sounded like a friendly people, having so easily accepted him amongst their society. Deep down she knew his survival was in part due to his Hattori blood. No matter how removed from the throne or New Vegeta a Hattori might be, they were survivors. That was probably why Tsuyo had no qualms sending the boy off as an infant…and of course the fact he had to cover his tracks, but that was in the past now. Toma was here and she was the Queen, if he wished it she would show him what it truly meant to be a Hattori.
When asked about what she might want, the Queen casually waves the waiter off. She only ate when needed and she had not been the one hurtling through space with nothing in her stomach. Letting her brother continue, she nods slowly in support of the idea these Sylurians escaped the planets destruction. Personally she had no stock in them, but if they had been friends of Toma she wished them no harm. Who knew, perhaps one day he might be reunited with them in some fashion. For now though he was here on New Vegeta, his true home and amongst true family. Akassa would not pass up on this opportunity to offer him the life he could have had and at the same time, earn an ally.
”I am sorry to hear of the planets fate Toma, but I am grateful that you survived. This Sylor might have been your home for many years, but if you so wish it New Vegeta can be your home now. We know little about each other and if you do not trust me yet that is fine, but I want to offer you a place to stay. The royal quarters of the palace had many rooms that you can claim as your own for you are of Hattori blood. I would like you to stay here and let me teach you the ways of our people, the Saiyan people. I do not seek to irradiate what has made you who you are today, but enlighten you on your natural origins. On top of that I have the facilities to help you grows strong and can supply you with all that you might need. What do you say?” It was an honest and true offer. If he wanted he could stay in the palace, train in the palace and become a full fledged member of the Imperium. The choice was his.

As Akassa began her offer of letting Toma live here, the food arrived. It was mostly Earth foods, not that Toma knew the difference. Toma’s eyes widened and lit up like a kid in a candy store. He partially lost track of what Akassa was saying. He was starving, as he hadn’t eaten in days! Picking up one of the MASSIVE bowls of rice, Toma brought the bowl to his mouth and began using chop sticks to shovel it in. He sucked down the rice like he was a vaccum cleaner, not even stopping to breath! For most humans, one might consider this to be over kill, but since he was in the presance of his own people, he needn’t worry.
By the time that Akassa had gotten to the part where she offered Toma to live here in the palace due to his royal blood. Seemed like a sweet enough deal to him. He was planning on staying on New Vegeta for a while anyways, at least until he got to know his sister and any other potential siblings. But then a thought hit him. He turned to Akassa, with his mouth full of noodles, and was about to speak. He slurped up the entire bowl of noodles and gulped it all down before speaking, now that his stomach was sated, at least enough to stop bothering him.
“Hah, yea! That sounds great! And this food is fantastic!” He replied, before he raised an eyebrow. “So here’s a question. You’re the current queen, right? I imagine that before us, our father, this… what did you call him? Tsuyo? Anyways, I imagine he was the king right? So what happened to him? And do we have any other siblings or is it just the two of us?” He asked, and he was just about to go back to his food, but then he stopped again. “Oh, and that thing we can do when we see a full moon. Turning in a giant ape. Is that what you mean by Super Saiyan? Cuz I can already do that.”
