Partially blind from the burns that covered the side of his face he watched as his forehead strike drew blood from the woman as she recoiled in pain from the unexpected attack. He had guessed right when it came to stunning her for a few seconds, the pain must have pierced deep into her skull, no doubt she would have one serious headache later. Bring his heated attack forward he took notice that the woman had locked her own arm around his just as she brought the shield up between them. Anri knew what was about to happen but everything was moving too fast for him too even try to avoid the collision between the two forces, even though the shield wasn't as strong as the others the impact would set the attack off with a large explosion force. As the two opposing force met the heated ball lit up like a star bursting into a ball of fire surrounding the two, smoke went flying off from the center of the blast. With either one linked on to each other escape had been impossible from such an attack, not to mention that even though it was just training they had both pushed each other too their limit.
The explosion tossed Anri from the cloud of fire and smoke sending him hurling towards the ground, as stream lines of smoke trailed off behind him. Like a smooth stone skipping across a calm lake Anri hit the ground, bouncing on the back of his armor he skidded across the earth carving lines into the soil every time he bounced. Looking as long a one legged monster had just ran track through the field he carved a path through the soft earth eventually coming too a stop a few hundred meters away from where he had been. With his power completely zapped his arm collapsed at his sides, even though he was knocked out cold his hands were still held in tight balled up fists, as blood ran down from his injured hand. With his mouth half open a small trail of stream escaped, the gentle wind pushing and pulling at it. Slowly his core temperature began to lower as he returned to his normal state; spikes withdrew back into his plated body giving him his usual appearance.
Hours past before he found himself waking from his unconsciousness state his body ached at him too stay asleep but he couldn't remember exactly where he was at or what had happened. Trying to open his eyes he found that he could only open one fully, bringing his hand to his face he could feel that it was swollen shut. Sitting up with a groan of pain his head popped out from he earthen hole he had been resting in, though the smoke and explosion had long been gone the torn field and random dead patches of grass still shown. Suddenly the flashes of the fight came back to him, though not all at once he could remember fragments of the encounter between him and the woman. Had he lost the fight and she left him out here in the field? Scanning the horizon of the area he could not spot her, but it didn't mean that she wasn't around. Trying to get out of the hole he pressed his hand on the level earth trying to push himself out but yelled out in pain as if felt as though his hand had been stabbed. Looking down at his hand he finally took notice of its poor condition, the blood lines had long dried but the skin on the palm was charred and ripped in some places.
Instead of trying to pull himself out to the hole he mustered what little Ki he had to use his flying skills to lift him out, it was more of a clumsy flight than he was used to as he tripped on his way out, landing on his chest plate. Standing back up again he wiped off the dirt from his body and made his way back to the court yard, though he didn't have it on him he had dropped his supply bag during the start of the fight. There wasn't too much in it for long term survival but anything to dull the pain at this point was something that was going to help. Taking it easy he made his way back to the looming castle, already the sun was just beginning to dip behind its tall towers giving the sky a bright orange tint too it; all the while as he walked he glanced around at the area trying to find any sign of the woman.
Finally reaching where they had started the fight all those hours ago he saw his supply kit resting soundly next to a rock, though the grass around it seemed rather dead, but he couldn't remember why. Collapsing on the ground with a loud thud, the last standing statue in the court yard fell over smashing into pieces, now resting quiet with the rest of its brethren. Ripping the Velcro lid off the bag he torn into it looking in its contents for a syringe, finally finding it he pull out the small metal tube. Placing his palm face up towards the sky on his leg, he gently thrusted the needle into the softer tissue on his palm, with a slight groan of pain he soon sighed as the morphine filled his body. Tossing the needle tip away he refilled the syringe container with red substance this time, bringing it up to his face he carefully pressed it into his tear duct, pressing down on the plunger the red liquid injected into his head. Pulling the syringe out he disposed of it just like the first one, the effects of the red substance became clear quickly as the world around him seemed to grow sharper than it did before even his senses seemed to be more accurate than before. Feeling much better than he did a few seconds ago he leaned back on the rock and looked into the sky, as the first few stars began to appear. With his special eyes he could look upon the stars as if he had binoculars on his face, that mixed with the chemicals he just took everything seemed to be in high def too him.
Leaning back over to the bag he pulled out a small plastic box with the words 'lunch' written on the side. Opening it up he pulled out two slices of bread and a piece of cheese, tossing the container back over next to bag he stacking the cheese inside the bread and then laid it on his chest. Though his was tried he still had enough energy to toast a grill cheese as his body temperature raised slightly, as it began to cook the meal.

"Ugh..." Jenn groaned as slowly she began to return to consciousness she could scarecely identify what parts of her memories were real and what had been merely a dream as surely she had been asleep, attempting to pull herself to a seated position provided her with at least one answer the vague memories of a battle with the newcomer were likely the 'real' parts it had started as a simple spar but as the fog cleared it became evident that they had let things escalate a bit too far, that also meant she had not been 'asleep' as she realized that she was not merely lying on the ground but rather she was smashed into the side of the castle a few floors above ground level thankfully whatever had caused her to be driven into the wall had not driven her THROUGH the wall, the damage done would likely be minimal and an easy enough fix that few would likely notice it ever even happened... the grounds below however were in an entirely diffrent state, there would be no 'easy fix' for what she could see from her position on the wall but of course that had been expected.
Dragging an arm out from the hole Jenn used some of her already dwindled energy reserves to create a small hand mirror, a simple enough object that it was safe to manifest even in her current state, holding the mirror up before her face Jenn inspected the damage, her face was nearly coated in dried blood originating from a long cut across her forehead, brief flashes of memory reminded her how she had received the cut, the newcomers unexpected headbutt an effort she realized now was likely done to end the Flame Tongue, perhaps his hide hadn't been as tough as he had made it out to be or perhaps it could only defend so long as he had energy to spend, Jenn also got a good look at some of the changes that her Efreeti mindset had decided to make, she looked quite fearsome with all the dragon inspired shifts it had made to her form, slowly those shifts would melt away returning Jenn to her more traditional human guise she was quite glad that ENDING a shift didn't actually require any energy a small kindness in this moment that she was happy to take advantage of.
Despite the ache throughout her body Jenn began pulling herself forward, her body screamed against the action and in response Jenn gave herself a bit of a 'push' with her energy taking some of the burden off of her body in favor of using some of her dwindled energy reserves once again. Slowly Jenn floated down from the Jenn-shaped indentation in the wall and down to the ground, it was another small kindness that it would take very little to just drift as she was, as she did she saw another humanoid shaped indentation much further away from the castle and from it floated the newcomer, her initial assumption had been that she had lost the battle but now... now it appeared that they had perhaps fought to a draw. A few more flashes of memory more or less confirmed that idea, the blast had consumed them both and launched them actoss the courtyard, her into the wall and him over to the far edge of the yard, as well she remembered that the sun had been much higher in the sky in the last moments of there battle, they had evidently both been out for quite a while.
'Hes dangerous... far more powerful than I could have anticipated, even restrained as I am I could likely defeat all of the others save for Azazel. He might be too much for them unless Azazel is the one to battle him.' Jenn thought to herself as she shifted her course slightly in order to land closer to his general area, Jenn chuckled briefly as she watched him take out a few slices of bread and what appeared to be a piece of cheese and begin cooking it upon his chest, the action of laughing sent a few shocks of pain through her system but the image was well worth it. Finally landing a few feet away from the newcomer Jenn allowed herself to lay flat in order to gain some small amount of comfort "That was quite the battle..." Jenn said with a heavy sigh tilting her head in order to see him "If this teaches me anything, it will be that I should stop underestimating people... You have a tremendous amount of power, I wish I had the means to convince you not to fight for him, you're presence makes me doubt their chances..." she said with another sigh before tilting her head back up to watch the sky, it was nearly night now the sun was low and the first couple of stars were beginning to show.

Cheese ran from the sides of the toasting bread, falling on to his plated skin it began to sizzle, quickly turning into a black ball of burnt mateial. Taking a deep breath he gave a happy sigh as the smell wafted up and into his nose, it had been quite a while since he had eatten anything he was looking forward too enjoy the small snack. Turning his meal over to the other sided it landed on him with a splat, the bread crackled as the moisture was being pulled from it.
"Not to much longer now...." Waiting for his food too cook he watched the far off stars as they shined in the dimming sky, with nothing really else to do he began to whistle to himself.
With all the drugs following in his system he felt very at eaze about everything, he knew his hand wasn't in the best of all conditions but the morphine did wonders too his injures, not to mention the red chemical he had shot into his eye, relaxed and very focused at the same time was a strange feeling but he rather liked it. He often found using the two in combination would put him in a neutral state of relaxation, but at a seconds notice he could be punching someones lights out, a high without being venerable and off focus. He had found the recipe for the red chemical a few years back when he was screwing around in abandoned lab while he was out on a mission; the weather on the planet had taken a turn for the worse that night and he needed a place to hide way from the strong winds. Finding the lab half buried in a rock slide Anri was able to dig it out making just enough room for him to fit through the boulders, though not much in the ways of food or comfort it was well stocked with chemicals. Being stuck in the lab for over two weeks he had to do something to occupy his time, so he started mixing the chemicals together too see what combinations would do what. Eventually he found a mixture which made the red substance he nicknamed 'Ruby's tear' given for the fact it was red like a ruby and worked the best when injected into his tear duct. He found the chemical enhanced his focus of the world around him but made him feel very jittery, so he mixed with morphine which gave him a similar effect but the nervous shakes were gone and the effects lasts for much longer.
Hearing something coming from his side he slowly turned his eyes away from the stars looking over at what as approaching. It was none other than woman as she glided down from the castle, not looking in much better condition than him he gave a small smirk, it looked as though he hadn't totally lost the fight.
"Hey there... it was quite a fight." He greeted her back, his voice seemed a tad more relaxed and slower than before.
Taking the complement he shook his head with a small smile. "Thank you, appreciate hearing that. You're a pretty damn good fighter your self, think the best fight I've had in years."
"I may not like the guy but he's the one signing my pay checks...money could always make me change who I'm fighting for though...." It almost seemed he was hinting at the idea but in his relaxed state he didn't even know.
Seeing the cut of her fore head it looked rather like a painful hit had caused it, though he couldn't remember exactly how she got it, he knew he had done it too her. Pushing his hand back into his bag he pulled out a fresh syringe with morphine filled to the brim inside of it.
"Here, try some of this, it will make the pain go away, and with that gash on your head, you look like you could use some of it." He held out his hand with the syringe sitting in his palm.

With little else to do but lay there with her thoughts and speak with the newcomer Jenn found her mind drifting slightly, not enough that she no longer payed the newcomer attention, no she was capable of keeping and ear out for his words but she found herself thinking on how exactly she could get him to stand against Kemuri his primary and seemingly only concern was money something that had Jenn rolling her eyes money was an annoying thing to deal with she hated feeding into the greed of others as generally it just made things worse people who sought monetary gain were generally of the sort to never quite feel enough was 'enough'. Feeding into the greed of someone as powerful as he could also be quite dangerous, giving him the monetary means to move from working to obtain money to TAKING money was an entire possibility. But of course she had other ways of providing something of worth to someone such as him without just giving him more gold than he could imagine.
Jenn's thoughts were halted as she heard him speaking again, offering her... something. With a low sigh she tilted her head back in his direction to see what it was that he was offering. It took her a long moment to identify the object and in doing so she almost lashed out violently at the sight, she had only encountered such things within the halls of UNITY and had no interest in them now, while she doubted the contents of the needle like device were anything like what she had been injected with the memory left a sour taste over such things. "I will have to decline, bad experiences with... those things... I'd not need to encounter another if at all possible." Jenn said keeping her tone as neutral as possible she could feel a strange flux in her emotional state a twinge of a need to attack the offending object and to speak less pleasantly because of it, perhaps a bit of bleed off due to how long she had been in the Efreeti form, it was entirely possible especially due to how much she had needed to use it against those in UNITY as well.
Whether or not the bleed off was a GOOD thing or not would remain to be seen. "I have no money with which to offer payment to you, and I imagine even if I did it would not be as much as Kemuri would be capable of offering. But... I believe I may have something else that I can offer.." Jenn said trailing off slightly, perhaps he would give some indication as to what else would be enough to break his interest in fighting for Kemuri, few things were beyond her ability to provide but for the moment she wanted to avoid outright telling him such, regardless it would need to wait until certain conditions were met, her ability to grant wishes to those that were not her summoner had to first be allowed by her summoner once upon a time that had been irrelevant, before Seikatsu she had never bothered to provide wishes to those who were not her summoner due to how she had felt about the people of Earth and after Sei it had never really come up as particularly relevant, the ability to do so was so underused that she often forgot it. But kemuri was unlikely to be willing to accept to allowing this it would give her back a measure of power and open far too many holes in his defenses.

Declining the use of of the syrgine she stated that she had a bad experience with such things, he was curious of what exacly she meant by that but decided against asking her. Even in his drugged state he picked up things her voice did not want to give away, as her body had stiffened when she saw the object. Shrugging his shoulders he put the syringe back into his bag clumsily, though he could focus himself any second he wanted if was more relaxing if he didn't, not really caring about it to much as he would rather just watch the stars as their lights tore through the Earthen sky. Taking his hand he reached down to the toasting sandwich, bring it up to his mouth he took a rather large bit out of it as the warm cheese melted over his teeth, chewing the meal around in his mouth he listened to the woman though she didn't have money but she might have something else in which he might be interested.
Thinking the thought over he tried to imagine what else she could possibly have that he might have, Kemuri pretty much owned her at this point, keeping her locked in side the castle, able to call upon her at his command. He would have thought that whatever thing of worth that she might have would belong too the dog man, then again she seemed like a rather smart...whatever she had told him she was. It was all possible that she had kept something hidden away from the man, but it would have to be something rather small for her to keep hidden away from the man. He had gotten to the top with wit and strength, if she had manged to slip something past him she was more cunning that he had given her credit for. Taking a few rocks that lay around him he began to toss them across the torn field as he thought her words over, even in his weakened state he could still toss them pretty far away.
"Ya...like what? I usually only do work for money or parts for my ship, but that's pretty much almost repaired. Wouldn't want a new one anyway, good memorizes with that ship...at least from what I can remember.... Your not offering yourself too me are you? Because I mean...I'm sure your attractive and what not, I just don't see you in that way...no offense." Anri noticed nonchalantly, as he munched away at the sandwich.
With all the stones within reach of his hand he turned his attention back to the brightest stars that had broken past the setting light of the sun of Earth. It was a unfamiliar sky to the lone Vennor, he could pick out a few well known stars from memory but everything seemed out of place compared to his home worlds sky. It looked like none of the familiar stars that he could view from his home could be seen, obviously Riva was no where near was he was at now. Even though he missed his planet he knew he could never go back, no longer wanted there and probably a criminal in the eyes of his government it would have been a death sentence for him. Not to mention for the fact that he really had no idea where his home was at. With a saddened sigh he slid his back down until he was laying directly on the ground his eyes facing up towards the sky.

Any thought Jenn had been beginning to gather were quickly scattered as she heard what the newcomer's misinterpretation of what she had meant Jenn could feel the blood rush to her face and cringed slightly at such, evidently her attempts to subtly navigate the conversation had backfired spectacularly, the only good point was that he was not in fact interested in taking her up on what Jenn not realized DID perhaps sound a proposition of that manner, perhaps it really would have been better to go about this when not heavily injured and with a constant nagging headache that punctuated every simple thought with a sharp pain. It also began to become a bit clearer that perhaps a subtle approach to this would be a bit too difficult, and really what did she have to lose by making a more direct offer he had no actual love for Kemuri, he was simply the man paying him and unless he was payed to inform Kemuri of the goings on between them it was unlikely Kemuri would find out about such an offer.
"I... no that.. that was not my intention, I take no offense we are rather different beings it would perhaps be more odd if you did have an interest in me. My intention was not an offer of myself, what if I told you that the powers I displayed in our battle pale in comparison to what I am truly capable of? Not simple raw power output, I have already told you I am limited in that aspect at the moment. I have an ability that could give you what you desire most beyond simply 'lots of money' my power can go much further beyond something as simple as that." Jenn said as with a grit of the teeth she pulled herself up to a seated position, perhaps not the best thing to do in her present condition but it felt right to be less casual while she went about explaining her power.
"You could have nearly anything you could dream of I rarely offer such a thing so readily but truthfully the situation is a dire one and I would much prefer to place trust in you then to let Kemuri have his way, I can and will grant you you're hearts desire if you do not fight for him, once Kemuri is defeated I will be free again, his hold over me would prevent me from giving you such and the sooner I am free the sooner I can grant you're desire... if you are willing. No matter how much it has changed I love this world, it is my home, the home of my love, the home of my son. I will do anything in order to see Kemuri removed from any sense of control over it, I cannot do so myself and so I must seek help through you." Jenn said her voice gaining a mixture of anger and sadness the more she spoke, her breathing growing a bit ragged from the exertion necessary to remain upright a few moments longer she would remain as such awaiting an answer before falling back onto her back, still conscious but now too tired to remain upright a part of Jenn cursed in frustration over her state but she knew better than to dwell on it for too long, better to focus on the newcomer and how he would respond then her frustrations over her sore body and her injury's.

Now laying on his back he payed not much attention too the woman body but rather her words as he watched the vale above him, he often forget how beautiful the twinkling little shimmers of light could be. Whether it was the fact that he was tired or from the drugs that flowed through his system he didn't care, even though if seemed that he wasn't paying attention to the woman his mind was split between the two tasks. Hearing her explain of that they were very different and that it would be odd if he did have attraction towards her, he gave a smile chuckle at the thought. Though he couldn't see her face her imagined that it was flushed red with blood, the imagine made him laugh a bit harder. Sitting up from her postion she was making it clear that whatever she was about to tell him was defiantly important, treating the information as such he rolled his head too look over at her. Listening carefully to her words he did his best to understand what she was telling him.
"Grant me wishes huh?...Well that does sound promising but how do I really know you can do that? All I really have to go on is your word, sure I've seen you can do some fancy tricks out there but my people aren't ones to rely on faith alone." He took a few seconds to think his words over.
"I mean it would be great in idea but Kemuri does have the cash, and he is paying me, while with you... as far as I know your wishing ability is a fairy tale, again no offense. And while I appreciate the fact that you can see value in me by asking for help I'm not really sure there is much I can really do for you. This is my livelihood after all, kind of my thing to find the person with the most influence, power and wealth; then I do what they ask for me, of course nothing comes without a price." He cleared his throat, reaching into the bag he pulled out the same flask he had used before when they were talking in the castle. Even though he was still laying down he manged to drink down the liquid as it oozed down this throat.
"I can understand where your coming from, no body likes to be a prisoner, trapped, locked in a cold dark cell for years on end...." His words seemed rather cold as his got lost in his memories.
Shaking his head he snapped out of his trance."...I'd love to help you gain your freedom, but that's not my place at this moment in time. Like I said every thing comes at a price, Kemuri's was just better." He sighed placing the small flask back into the bag.
"No hard feelings I would hope. It's not that I don't want to help you...I just can't." He coughed.
Having gone through similar conditions as the woman he knew where she was coming from, he had also wished someone had come to help him, but none ever came. He had to claw his way from his shackles, blood, sweat and death was the key too his freedom, everything came at a price, even ones freedom. A lesson he learned the hard way but it was a lesson he would never forget, it was hard to forget something that haunted ones dreams.

Jenn held her breath as she awaited his response, this was perhaps a very important turning point for the eventual battle that was to come. If she succeeded in getting him to pull his support for Kemuri then a victory was far more attainable, if she could get him to go even further and actually FIGHT against Kemuri then it was likely that victory was all but assured, her battle with him had proved that at her current level they were were an excellent match in combat and if he chose to aid the Earth she could trust him to handle fighting her when things got started it would remove Kemuri's two strongest warriors from the battle all at once and she could certainly trust that Bear had a plan in mind for when things got moving which would leave Kemuri alone once again against at the very least Azazel and likely Carla. She doubted that Kemrui was the sort to train to grow stronger especially as he had attained victory in some aspect, but it was very likely that those two were working to grow stronger in order to defeat him or at least she hoped that they were.
Of course everything came crashing down when the newcomer actually responded, his answer was everything she DIDNT want to hear. He was unwilling to place his faith in the idea that she could do as she claimed because Kemuri was in a sense a guarantee of money, Jenn gritted her teeth only barely listening as he continued, she managed to pickup as he seemed to relate to her situation likely having been imprisioned at some point in his own past but Jenn couldn't quite get past her anger, not just at him for not taking her offer but over everything, no matter what she seemed to do things only got worse.
"I don't CARE about my freedom" Jenn said through gritted teeth her anger starting to seep through once more, a part of her wanted to stop and think through a response, find a way to logically convince him. But then a much stronger part just wanted to scream and rage and tell things as they were. "You misunderstand if you think that is what I want, I'm USED to being trapped, I could deal with it if I was stuck under even someone like Kemuri's thumb. I can and will outlive him, such a thing is IRRELEVANT. I don't want MY freedom I want the EARTHS freedom, much as I feel a stranger here now it is still the home my family strived to make a better place for GENERATIONS hundreds of years of work to keep peace on this world. I would gladly sacrifice myself to preserve that." Jenn said what little energy she had left coming to life again in a surprisingly powerful show of flame around her as she pulled herself upright once more before going on to pull herself shakily to her feet.
"You're not a bad man, not completely. Rough around the edges certainly and I imagine there is quite a story behind why you are the way you are even beyond you're escape from you're home. But I cannot simply accept your decline and act as if it does not anger me. There are hard feelings, because you fighting for him is you attacking my family's legacy no matter how much this world has changed." Jenn said taking a step toward him so that he could see her fury if his position on the ground as it was prevented such. She found herself quite torn her body screaming in pain, her mind screaming in fury. Her instinct told her to attack, even as weak as she was now he was just as bad off, Kemuri hadn't left any regarding keeping him alive she could kill him it might not even be that hard. But a part of her knew that wouldn't be right, knew she would regret doing so. But what else could she do? "And do not tell me that you CAN'T help because we both know that that is a lie, you CHOOSE not to just as you choose to have faith that Kemuri will bother to pay you rather that stab you in the back as quickly as he did the protector and ruler of this planet before you."

Anri watched as the her rising hope seemed to fade from her eyes with his words of denial, but what replaced her hope was anger as he could hear the rage flow in her words. Though he could tell that she was upset at him he just leaned against the rock as she spouted her words at him, he was glad she had not starting punching him with his answer but she sure did look close too doing such a thing. He was on edge in case she did try to do such a thing but he kept a cool face on the surface, Anri couldn't imagine either of them putting up a real fight between them. Of course at the rate her flames were bouncing off of her body she would burn her self out rather quickly, standing up from the ground she seemed unbalance on her weak legs as he body shook with pain and exhaustion. Finishing her rant at him he processed all of the information she had said too him, it had rather been a lot for him to take in.
"Freedom for a world...such a thing is never really a possibility. The idea is insane to say the least; someone- something always has the power, they might not hold all they cards but they will have enough to win the game. Just like the person that Kemuri replaced, Kemuri himself will eventually fade from history and just be replaced by someone else, they might be better for the planet or worse, but in the end someone is always making choices on behalf of your world, that will never change. It doesn't matter how far you travel you will always see something of such a thing because in order for a civilization to rise, order and law but be brought to the chaos and in doing so people lose freedom in order to gain safety. The idea of a civilization is a complex one that people often abuse but once a civilization has began there is no going back till it is gone, or they become wise enough to avoid those mistakes that caused such problems, but no such civilization has reach that point. Even if Kemuri is replaced it wont be long before someone else kills off whoever replaced him and the cycle will start all over again, maybe even worse than the dog man himself, we can never know. At least with him we know what hes capable of, the future is unpredictable which is why people live in fear of what it might bring." He paused for a second to catch his breath.
"We are who we are, changed from birth as the universe around us carved us into the people we are today. You cannot go to someone asking them for help, knowing there is a fifty-fifty shot of them saying no and then be mad at them. Expecting someone to put down everything they have going on too help with your agenda, and when they say no you get pissed at them. When you do it as such your strongly implying that I shouldn't have a say in what I have a choice in doing, at that point your trying to take away my freedom of choice; of having a free will and thoughts. At that point your not much better than the dog man himself. Whether or not he will try and stab me in the back is unknown at the moment and I've dealt with such things before, but with a man such a Kemuri he will always have enemies, he will need someone like me around for years to come; if it does come do too it though I will deal with it then." Anri told her sternly.
"And I CHOOSE not to help because that is my CHOICE and no one will take that freedom away from me. Not you, not Kemuri, not anyone. Unless I find a DAMN good reason to change my mind I will stick by my choice." He spat out, though there wasn't anger in his voice it he was harsh in his words.
"I can see that anger in your eyes, feel free to try and strike me down if you think it will solve your problems, but if you do, at that point you'll become what you have been fighting against the whole time."

"I really should." Jenn said however despite her words the energy flaring around her began to even out becoming far less of the raging inferno it had been as Jenn attempted to reign herself in "It wouldn't solve any of my own problems, but it would give them a better chance. You comparing me to Kemuri if I killed you now is flawed, he does what he does out of personal greed to put himself above all else. Me striking you down would be an effort in helping the world, protecting the good people that you'll certainly be trying to kill very soon, he's going to send you off to kill a CHILD a girl barely thirteen because she fought against him and because she will do so again." Jenn growled thinking of Carla she seemed the sort to not back down and run, she'd come back stronger and would place herself in significant danger because of the newcomers presence.
"Do not presume to lecture me on the way of civilization, I have seen the cycle an incalculable number of times myself trust me and while I may not have seen it in as many ways as you because of your travels through space I have certainly seen the course of the cycle play out MORE than you have seen empires rise and fall on this world some good, some not. But simply because it is the normal course of things for such to occur does not mean we should simply accept it. My family for many years guided this world towards a better existence, true 'freedom' may not be a possibility but that does not mean that a tyrant should be allowed to stand."
"I had no intention of forcing you to fight against him, I wanted to offer another choice a BETTER choice. Kemuri is a poison to this world, you could be the means by which we save it, the mans fool enough that he still has the old ruler of the world imprisoned rather than having had him killed. If speaking to your morality does not help then perhaps speaking to your greed will, the Earth and more importantly it's King would likely be quite grateful towards a man who saved it certainly enough to pay at least whatever fee Kemuri says that he might pay you for you're work." Jenn said taking a few heavy breaths as she could feel her energy wavering and her muscles screaming in pain as she forced them to remain active when they very much should be at rest. "With that in mind I think it is best I take my leave, I have a lot to think about from this encounter and I hope at the very least you will give my suggestion more thought. I don't know how much time we have left but I do hope that when time has run short you will make the right choice Anri. You seem to have let yourself become trapped in 'one way of thinking' much as you' told me you're people have." Jenn said finally using the newcomers name in hopes it might in some way have a better impact, with that Jenn would turn away from him and ignoring the protests of her body take to the sky flying as quickly as she could back to her window without so much as a glance back at the newcomer.

He laughed at her comment of that she should hit him, he knew that she might not given her condition but the reasons behind it where something else. "Killing a child huh?...Eh I've killed worse, sorry if you thought that would really change my mind, but its kind of in my job description. It was her choice to stand and fight a noble one if that, she's got guts I'll give her that much but at the same time she know what will happen if she does, and that is her choice."Hearing that she had seen the cycles of civilization more times that Anri had a small smirk across his face, there was a lot more too him than she would ever know, more than anyone else would know. Though his memories were often at times scattered through out his mind he recalled a time long ago; he witnessed the universe form before him as the stars gathered together and burned holes through the blackness that consumed the space around him, planets crashed together, then life came to the vast worlds. Races rose through the ranks, fighting for survival, dominance, the need to have more than they already did. Civilization rose quickly after as they headed for the stars, then came the fall. It was unnoticed by many until it was too late, war, disease, even nature it self was their demises; he watched as they rose and fell, over ... and over... and over. The cycle, it never ended. Just like the universe was born in flames it would die in flames, always repeating the same steps. Things would never change, there were small variables but in the end life seemed to follow the same path, the path of destruction, chaos, death, and then...nothing. Though it seemed like years to him it was only a mere few seconds that he had witnessed such a event, but that is a story for another time. "A better choice is always based on one's point of view, what might be best for you isn't always best for someone else. The king could indeed be grateful for such an act but at that same time he doesn't have access too such things, we in live in the present not in a future that could be. There is nothing to gain from such an action unless I was one hundred percent sure such a out come would happen and I'm not." Giving him a word goodbye she spun around heading back towards the castle, leaving Anri alone with his thoughts and the stars that now fully shined through the dark sky. Sighing to himself he reached back into the bag that lay at his side and pulled out the syringe that he had offered the woman, with it still full of the morphine he pressed the needle against the palm of his hand and injected the liquid. The whole conversation had really killed his buzz and he needed to get back on the ride; corseting through his veins the drug quickly worked its charm as everything seemed to calm down. Tossing the needle away he rested his head back on the rock, as he watched the skies above. The woman had said a lot to him and though he didn't agree with her ideas he did respect her for them, it took a strong person to stand up for what they believed in, especially in her current situation. There was no way he was going to help her though, he had a job to up hold and it wasn't as though he owned her anything, they had only just met earlier that day. She asked too much on the chance that earth would be free and for what? Maybe a few months before a new tyrant was to stroll in and take over, nothing would change because nothing ever does. For Anri the best plan of action was just to ride the train until the last stop then jump off, eventually Kemuri would undoubtedly die, and Anri would have whatever he earned and then leave, it was what mercs did. It was always the possiblity that he could work for whoever was in charge of earth the next time around though, it wouldn't be the first time such a thing had happened to him. As much as he tried to shake what she had last said to him he couldn't get the words out of his mind, he wasn't anything like his people, if he had been he would have stayed in line, and never had left his home. If it hadn't been for the drugs running through his body he might have ripped the field up even more than it was already, but instead he lay there against the rock his eyes growing heavy with sleep. Rather than going to sleep inside the castle he much preferred to sleep under the stars, he was already comfortable laying on the soft earth. Closing his eyes he picked up on the sounds of the field around him, the gentle breezes, crickets chirping off in the distance, the grass blades rubbing against one another. Slowly he began to drift away from the world around him, falling into a deep sleep as the vale hung over him, watching him dream. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MthPr9ew80cSong to play along with his sleep
