The three of the seemed to be in a pretty relaxed state as Carmen and Anri enjoyed listening to the story that Tenshi was retelling them, Anri with his crude metal throne and Carmen as she carried the weight of her head with her now cradled hands, too any one looking on at the three of them it would have appeared like they had been long friends as they shared there stories with one another rather than new acquaintances. Taking a quick drag from the tobacco filled paper Arni blew a thin puff of smoke from his plated face into the air above him; knowing all too well that most people didn't enjoy the smell that the burning substance produced he did his best to keep it out the faces of the others, hopefully the weak winds would do more than enough to blow it away from them, but he needed something in his system to at least make existence some what more bearable.
While Anri had no questions he glanced over at Carmen whose arm appeared like it was going to fly off it she wasn't able to speak her mind, it brought a quick smile to his face to see such an energetic person; she would be great at anything she set her mind on with such energy under her belt, that was if she could manage too focus it all on one thing at a time. Usually such people with the hyperactive personality such as herself had issues trying to keep their mind focused on one thing for long periods of time, but once focused they completed great tasks in record time. Such was a problem back on Riva, the population of the world often had issues with ADD and ADHD, usually with just the youth though, most people sought to cure it with drugs but they often found that it was like they were trapped inside their own skin; and if not for the drugs then surgery was the next bet, but until about twenty years ago such a operation was more dangerous than beneficial.
Her question was something that had been on his mind thought, about something Tenshi had called "Gungnir", not being from his world...or for that matter even her world he had no clear idea of what she was talking about but it sounds almost like a weapon the way she was talking about it. Pushing her hands together and then parting them a light filled the ever growing gap between her hands until a fill fledged spear manifested in her grasp, needless to say it appeared to have the ability to shred flesh with ease. It looked like Anri was right in his assumptions about the device being a weapon though his interest in the weapon was dulled slightly with the fact that it was not the true weapon in its self but rather a copy of the original legendary weapon, even as mythological as she had made the weapon sound he had not hear of such a weapon before, even though he wasn't from her world he had heard of many mystical, supernatural and even scientific weapons that worked in ways that seemed to bypass the laws of time and space; such rumors were spread through out the vale but as much as he wanted to explore such rumors he hadn't the chance to do so.
Continuing on with her story Anri leaned back in his metal chair and listened once more about her tale slaying the dragons, and about his person 'Brandon' with his uncanny knowledge over such creatures and his magical glowing wrist. It appeared as though he had strange abilities which seemed to work pretty effectively against these creatures called "dragons" which begged the question, was he the great cause for why such creatures were such a rare sight now a days? It wasn't impossible for one person alone to be the cause of a great extinction, though such acts took many years and great patience too do. The man went even as far to let himself to be devoured by the creatures only to rip the creature apart from the inside but the way Tenshi made the creatures seem it sounded like a solid plan, if you cannot harm the enemy from the outside then take them down from the outside, though he couldn't imagine something eating him whole.
Finishing her tale as the two parted Anri was satisfied with the story, it had more than enough ideas for him to picture it in his head too some degree of which it might have happened but without having been there he would never truly know what really happened, but that was the purpose of tales, using ones own imagination to fill the gaps where details had been left out. All in all it wasn't a bad story but there was always more room for blood, and gore but one cannot change the past anymore than they can change the stars that line the vale.
Shaking his head he nodded at the story as if too say it was a good one, but he was still left with a few questions he which he would have liked to follow in pursuit in. Taking a small drag on the little white stick he blew it out as he spoke out to the winged woman.
"Not a bad story, could use more blood but that's just my own preference." He joked lightly as he pointed at himself.
"But I did have a few questions. I was just curious if these creatures you call 'dragons' were gone of this world then why go so far as too kill them? Generally from what I've seen from across the stars, such creatures even if they are dangerous; are protected to help balance the frail ecosystems of said world. I don't want to bring the question of education into this conversation but did you know of that?" Anri asked as the smoke fled from his mouth.
Anri did not by any means mean any harm to any education she might have received but he was indeed looking for an answer to his question but he knew the was most likely revolve around that they were harming people but there was always another way to solve a problem then killing, but killing just made things easier.

Carmen stood wide eyes and fascinated as Tenshi went on to describe her amazing tale, the demoness never having thought that the reason for the blood splattered across her to be one of such fantasy. She spoke of dragons that breathed fire and ice; the large beasts apparently near indestructible the way she talked about their scales. The angel lady explain almost blow for blow how the fighting had gone down, whirling her large weapon around as she did. The shiny weapon snapped this way and that, the bright sun playing off it as it did, while Carmen followed it with her head. Similar to a cat she seemed fascinated by how easily the delicate and feminine looking Tenshi wielded the large weapon with ease.
By the time she was finished Anri compliments her story, while Carmen claps excitedly for the entertaining tale. As he went on to speak, asking his questions he kept her mouth shut for the moment, not wanting to be rude and interrupt. Ecosystems? What was Anri talking about, and why were the dragons gone? Blinking several times her eyes shift from him back to Tenshi, nodding her approval. With new questions, only because Anri had pointed them out, Carmen was now curious of the answers as well.
”Yeah, what he said.”

After finishing the story, Tenshi took in Carmen's clapping, and Anri's nod of approval. The scaled man took another drag from his cigarette, before asking her a question.
"But I did have a few questions. I was just curious if these creatures you call 'dragons' were gone of this world then why go so far as too kill them? Generally from what I've seen from across the stars, such creatures even if they are dangerous; are protected to help balance the frail ecosystems of said world. I don't want to bring the question of education into this conversation but did you know of that?"
It was an odd question, and one that required thinking on Tenshi's part.
"Yeah what he said," Carmen piped in.
Tenshi had never really thought about it. Dragons had never existed in her lifetime, short as it was, and as far as she knew, had died out many centuries ago.
"I don't think that dragons would be beneficial to the ecosystem," she started slowly, choosing her words carefully. "If they were still around, then I would agree with you. But, to the furthest extent of my knowledge, dragons died out centuries ago. There haven't been dragons on Earth since...well, I couldn't even tell you. It wasn't my intention to be fighting extinct gargantuan lizards, but in the heat of the moment, it became a 'kill or be killed' situation." She paused briefly, shifting her weight to her left side. "We do have protections to animals that are going extinct, but for ones that should already be gone...I don't know."

Though Carmen didn't seem to have much questions in mind she agreed with what Anri had asked which made him chuckle quietly under his breath. The pink hair girl had seemed rather enthralled in the story that Tenshi had told though he wasn't even really sure if she had any questions but instead just took the story at face value rather than dig any deeper into this folds. It mattered little though, too each their own was what Anri had always thought and it wasn't a bad thing that she didn't have any, some people just wanted to sit back and relax while being told a tale, rather than have to think every detail over, not everyone had to have the same pattern of thought that the alien did.
After the question had leaked into the air the winged girl looked over Anri for a few seconds as she thought it over, appearing as though she hadn't expected such a question from anyone who she told the tale too. Explaing her thoughts during the fight Anri could understand where she was coming from, in a survival situation things often seemed to speed up leaving little time for rash decisions. With his combat field training and years of merc work he had lost such poor decision skills when things heated up, once a person lost their cool on the battle field that it was it for them.
Letting the girl finish her explanation Anri nodded his head up and down at what she had told them, it wasn't terrible reasoning, in fact it was a rather good one. Not being from this world she would probably have no idea if there was an protection order for such creatures not to mention that the creatures seemed to have died off years ago.
"Oh on the contrary all animals are beneficial to every ecosystem though their original impact might not be noticeable for a few years passed. Such creatures as 'dragons' were mostly likely apex predators such as my people where and the humans in their early years of evolution. These creatures help to maintain the levels of other predators in the area, making so that one group is not much larger than the others so that prey have higher chances of survival since food is now fought between two apex predators. Also lets say hypothetical, dragons only ate rabbits and no other creature did, if there were no dragons to eat said rabbits what would happen? The rabbit population would burst out of control and without something there to maintain it, they would eat all the grass and low vegetation leaving none for the rest of the animals there, in turn they would die. I bet around the time when the dragons started to disappear other animals population on earth here either skyrocketed or plummeted. Ecosystems are a very fragile system of weather, plants and animals, they can effect the others with just the smallest adjustment."
Realizing all that he said he laughed briefly as he rubbed the back of his plated head.
"Sorry about that, I can go on rants about these kind of things. Takes me back to biology class." He though fondly back to his school days.
"Regardless I don't disapprove of your actions, it was either fight or flight and though you can clearly do both-" He pointed at her wings with that last statement.
"You chose to stay and fight, and I would have done the same...though with more blood." He laughed, coughing on the cigarette smoke.

She was getting lost. There was no other way to explain how Carmen felt as the two began to discuss e-co-sis-tems…another topic that the pink haired girl was not familiar with at all. Anri and Tenshi were not only unique, smart and powerful, but they also seemed to be quite intelligent. While she was no moron, or dim witted individual Carmen was also not what some might call well educated. In her previous life she had been school at a young age and had spent many hours at her studies, but like with so much else those experiences had been lost to her. Pandora’s transformation of the girl had not only been physical, but mental as well, the only aspect that had remained the same was her personality.
Mouth hanging open as she did her best to follow the conversation the girl just couldn’t completely comprehend what it was the two were talking about. Feeling almost left behind the Carmen did the only thing she could do that wasn’t asking a list of question to try and understand, a path that would have most likely ended up with her even more confused than she already was. While not as well rounded as these two in so many topics the Makaio had learned a few things on her short time on this planet. If you didn’t understand what a conversation was about….simply shift it to something else.
Nodding some towards the end of Anri’s statement, as if she did understand, the pink hair girl was quick to speak up, wanting to get her words in before the two continues.
”Actually, there was something else I wanted to ask and it is a question for the both of you. Where did you both come from? And I don’t mean just today, more like where do you come from originally? I haven’t been on this planet long, but I haven’t seen anyone that looks close to either of you two….are you aliens?” Centuries ago that question was quite different then when it was asked today. A long time ago the thought of aliens was still a foreign concept, creatures from space not nearly as common place as they were now. These days aliens populated all of the known planets and even Earth was a home for many of them.
Wearing her best smile to assist her in the topic change and the cover-up of her lack of insight on the precious conversation, Carmen looks back and forth between the two. On top of saving herself from looking like a fool she was honestly interested in where they had come from. Both of them were strong and both of them seemed quite unique, if they had home worlds she might visit them one day. That would be a sight to see…a street full of people that resembled Anri or a sky full of those that looked similar to Tenshi…Carmen had big plans for the future.

Tenshi had moved her hand to her chin, leaning back slightly, listening to Anri. He was bringing up some very valid points. She still didn't think that he was right about the dragons, given that they weren't supposed to be part of the current ecosystems, but she was willing to understand his point of view, and put it into perspective. Tenshi laughed at his last joke, before Carmen caught her attention.
”Actually, there was something else I wanted to ask and it is a question for the both of you. Where did you both come from? And I don’t mean just today, more like where do you come from originally? I haven’t been on this planet long, but I haven’t seen anyone that looks close to either of you two….are you aliens?”
The thought of where she had come from always gave her a headache. She knew her origins, knew that she was one of the last of her kind...but still, something seemed amiss. She mentally shook her head, and answered Carmen.
"I am, in fact an alien. I don't know much about my kind, only that something happened to my planet, and as a baby, I was flown off to another planet, where I was raised as a performer in the circus I had mentioned previously. I haven't met anybody else like myself, though Anri comes the closest." She turned to the male alien. She was most certainly interested in his origins, as well as Carmen's, but it seemed Anri's time turn. "What about you, Anri?"

It was all to clear to Anri that Carmen wasn't able to keep up with what he was spouting about the environment and creatures, which was fully understandable it wasn't as though some of this knowledge was something people knew off the top of their head and the way that girl acted it was becoming some what clear that her eduction wasn't what he would call complete. She tried to play it off well but from the corner of his eye he had spotted her jaw slightly unhinged at his words which he didn't mind, such topics were not something that everyone was and expert in or even have a lot of information in. Regardless though she kept quite through the whole thing while he did his best to explain his ideas which seemed to stick better with Tenshi which he appreciated, he wondered just how far that either of their educations went. Back on Riva it was very rare to ever see an uneducated person, it was something demanded by the government that all children must be educated at schools until the day they joined the service and then were educated until they were released from said service, though he doubted that such systems would have been set up on other worlds.
Seeming unsatifised with the current converstion it was Carmen that changed the topic towards something she was intrested in, their orgins in the universe, she was curious as to where either of them came from, and truth be told it was a question that had been lingering in his mind. Either of the girls were scientifically fascinating in their own ways, it was a tad harder to explain why Carmen was interesting given her outward appearance was similar to that of a human but the mind she carried was not simple in such an aspect, while as Tenshi it was more obvious to why he thought that, as if they wings weren't a dead given away for it.
Even as much as he felt almost betrayed by his own people he still held the honor and history of them deep to his heart, it was something that had been distilled into every Vennor since they were young enough to walk, and no amount of pain or betrayal would erase that even if some of his memories had been damaged. It was Tenshi that was first to respond which Anri didn't mind, as long as he had been telling his story he had not managed to take a drag on his cigarette so he leaned back in his crude chair as he listened to the woman tell them about the world she had visited.
It didn't come to much of a shock to hear that she was an alien, but even her human appearance he found it odd that she a being that probably live far away could resemble such an appearance to that of a modern human, how such a thing would ever happen was beyond him and he might never know since the woman's world seemed to have been destroyed, though it was a possiblity that something else might have happened; even the girl seemed to lack any really knowledge of what became of her world. Had Anri been able to he would have felt a type of sadness for the girl, he too in a way had lost his home, it was still out there but who knows where, a light year? Twenty? Maybe he wasn't even in the same galaxy any more. As far as he was concerned it was very possible that he would never see if home again, the vast deep oceans, the seemly endless jungles or the rocky mountains that stretched into space. They were similar in that fashion, not sure what became of their worlds.
Directing the question towards Anri he leaned forward once again as he processed the thoughts through his mind, there was a lot there and he wasn't exactly sure where to start. Vennor culture and history spanned many thousands of years, many wars, lands disputes, and the military structure was one of the finest he had ever come across; a planet full of warriors, every citizen, mother, father, uncle, aunts even the elders all knew how to fight and kill if the need arose. Dragging on the smoke for a few seconds he did his best to place the ideas in order in his head as she slowly blew the smoke out from his mouth.
"Well where should I start?" He gave a weak chuckle.
"My people are known as the Vennor, a powerful militaristic race that are a force to be reckoned with. A long history of war, fighting is built into our genes. You'll never find a Vennor that doesn't know how to fight, though its not very likely you'll ever see any of my kind again. It was by sheer chance that I found myself outside my world and deep into the vale that surrounds this world, with so many stars and other planets out there I might never find my home again. Sometimes you forget just how big the vale is until your out there for weeks, months on end just trying to reach another world. I've only been around for fifty of your planets years, and its only in the last twenty that I left my world." Anri paused to take a drag on the little bud that was left of the smoke.
"My home is that of a planet called Riva, that orbits around a massive blue star, and its funny, for the life of me I cannot remember the name of our star... how ya forget the little things huh?" He chuckled.
"Vast green oceans, mountains that broke through the high heavens and forests so thick trees would climb miles into the sky for just a one sweet drop of sun light, it was a harsh world with heavy gravity but it gave life to some of the strongest creatures I have ever come across in my life time. Some big as the sky scrappers that loom over this city here, and weighing many times more." Anri seemed almost lost in though as he pictured the dense jungles that surrounded the mountains on Riva.
"It may not have been the ideal place to go on vacation with its thick and humid atmosphere but it was my home, and I dearly miss it. But no time to dweal on things I cannot change. If I'm lucky I might find myself back their one day." Giving a weak laugh he crushed the dying cinder of the cigarette in his palm as he turned his attention to Carmen.
"So what about you? Where do you hale from? Even though you look it, I don't really think you like one of those human's that pace the street below. Though I have to admit you've copied their appearance very well."

Ha! Carmen was right, both of them were aliens. That only made the pair even more interesting, the creatures normally found on this planet quite boring. The pink haired girl’s memory only went back several weeks, but even in that short time she had already found herself getting bored of the overpopulated planet. When Anri had first come across her the only reason she had been on top of this particular building was because she had been told it was a breathing taking view and incredibly exciting…not so much the case. In all honesty it was the same view she had seen from a top several other structures she had ascended in her boredom…only slightly higher. Not taking any excitement in heights the girl had been prepared to leave when her new armored friend had come floating by, playing a card game with himself.
Tenshi, although admitting she was not of this world, did not give much information about her home world. Then again considering that the planet was destroyed when she was only a child, perhaps she really didn’t know much. To most the story might be a little saddening, many creatures cherishing their home worlds or birthplaces simply because of the natural tie they had to them. Carmen though remembered nothing of her birth, neither her original human one nor her recreation at the hands of Pandora. As a result of her strange reemergence in the world of the living she had no real sense of what “home” was, a large part of the reason she was always wandering around, no real goal or destination ever in her mind. Recently though that lifestyle had begun to pay off more, her travels having her intercepting the paths of some very unique individuals.
Now Anri on the other hand seemed to remember his home world just fine, well enough to give a detailed description of it as well as name. Of course Carmen knew nothing about any of the places he mentioned or even what the vale was, but that didn’t mean she didn’t find this Riva appealing. The first place that the Makaio had visited on Earth was a dense forest, and it had been much more enjoyable than walking the streets of Central City. Something about the forest and all its natural sounds felt soothing to her. It was a shame the whole planet wasn’t one lush forest without any noisy humans around.
Nodding some in response to both their answers, glad to have changed to subject to one she understood a little better, she is a little caught off guard when he asks her the same question. Of course if she wasn’t such an air head at times she would have realized it was the obvious next step in their conversation. For a moment she looks down at herself, his comment about copying a human’s appearance causing a small frown to form. It was sort of true…
Her right hands points off to the east for there was in fact a field quite some miles away that was where she had come from. ”I woke up in that field a couple of weeks ago and looked just like I do now so…I guess that is where I my home. A small pause came as she shrugs before her eyes light up a little as she remembers there was something else to address.
”I am not a human though, I know that much! I may look like them for the most part, but I am one hundred percent Makio.” With that Carmen unleashes her full power, her signature doubling as a crimson aura bursts to life around her. The aura lifts her pink hair up some, the strands taking on a more reddish hue as they flutter around her head. Along with the increase in power came two small, but significant changes. Carmen’s lavender colored eyes shift to match the aura that now surrounded her and her canines elongating ever so slightly, but the small shifts were enough to alter that “human” appearance Anri had noted before.

Anri turned his head towards the direction that Carmen pointed towards, though the the city scape that surrounded them block but most of the surrounding wildness Anri could see through a small gap where he could make out a small patch of empty area. To any human person it would have looked like a green blur off in the distance but to Anri he could make out the small shifts that the grass blades off in the plain as they swayed with in the breeze that sped over the field, even the deer that wandered randomly looking for plants too chew on. It looked like a tranquil place away from the loud sounds of the city and the business that took place here, almost like another world in its self. Had it not been that he knew it was part of Earth he would have thought so but it really wasn't that far from they were right now, with a single leap he could probably make the jump if he so chose too or fly if the need arose.
Learning about she can into this world made Anri question just what the hell she really was, it was not normal for humans... or whatever she was, too just appear in a open field was it? Anri had to admit as much time as he had spent on Earth he didn't know a lick of how it was that more humans were created, though he compared it too most of the other alien races he had come across before, which was generally, dirty, messy business, not something of which would have been the best conversation between them. Coughing at the idea he turned his attention back to the orginal questionable words she had spoken; she was an interesting specimen in the since that she was an oddity, even too the standards that an planetary travel, who had seen some very strange things in the universe but nothing such as her. It wasn't until Carmen confirmed his suspicion of her nothing being human did he learn just how interesting she really was.
"A Makio? What-" Was all Anri could get out once the girl released an aura of her true strength around her, increasing greatly from what it had been from before.
Compared to Anri it wasn't very impressive who was rocking much higher Pl but with a person such as he was sure that she could get it up much higher in time with the correct training. It wasn't just the power change in her that altered as he could make out the small changes in her appearance as her eyes flashed too a new color, which seemed to shimmer of their under power, and her teeth as her canines could been seen poking out slightly from over her lips. Now that was usual such a power change accompanied by physical changes as well, Anri's body went through changes as well when he transformed but it wasn't nearly as apparent as her was until someone was to come close to him.
"Impressive." Anri nodded his head as he looked her up and down slowly, it hadn't been apparent that she wasn't human before it was now, he had never seen a human do such a transformation before.
"I've never never met a Makio before, and I'm glad I'm having the chance to do it." Standing up from his crude throne Arni made his way over to Carmen as he walked around her in a small circle getting a better look at the Makio, trying to learn about them from what he saw of her. Usually to learn the most about a creature a dissection was the best path but he didn't think it would sit too well with Carmen. With a light touch did he run the tip of his finger against the long strands of air that flung around her head with her new found power.
"Your strength doubled whenever you did this, is that ability possessed by all our people? Or do you now know much about your own kind?" He questioned trying to understand what she was better.
It was in Anri's nature too be quizzical with new things he approached though he held it with a bit of caution even as strong as he was death was still a possibility too anything that lived in the first place, no one was beyond it reach. The girl didn't seem to be much of a threat, her bubbly, sweet out ward demeanor was one that could put anyone at ease, even if she turned on him he was sure a simple backhand from his plated hand would be more than enough to put her in her place, though he hoped it didn't come down too it. If for some reason he ever found home once again and was welcomed back after having attacked his own kind and stolen a top of the line rocket, he would have shared all he knew about the vale from his journeys, never knowing what small piece of information would be most useful. Already he had seen so much of the vale, its technology, its people and planets, he can compiled a great list of everything he had come across, everything from the strengths and weakness of a race. Though he didn't expect his people to go to war with everyone they found it would be of great use to know what they could about possible threats.
Completing a full circle he would stop in his movement just in front of the girl but a few feet away letting his arms drop down too his sides, giving her the chance too look him over just as she had done too him, it was only fair after all, he had just cross examined her as if it wasn't so why not let her get the chance to do the same? It wasn't every day someone of his race just wandered into someones life, he was sure he looked just as alien as the humans too her, though the shared similar outwards appearance with them she was defiantly different than them. Anri would have transformed into his more powerful self but the heat he outputted would have probably been more than enough to give her a few burns with how close they were together.

Its true her transformation wasn’t the most elaborate thing in the Universe, but it did make her stand out from the soft creature many thought she was. Humans were…common, while Carmen was much more special than the common streetwalker in the city below. She had only been here for a short time, but her power had already quadrupled and she had done nothing to make it so. Only having experienced minimal combat since her “birth” the Makaio was unsure as to why she was getting stronger, the girl not questioning it. Thankfully she had not needed to take part in rigorous combat like many individuals who sought to grow stronger for such sweaty tasks were something she did not enjoy. The one time she had fought, against an obnoxious woman in a dress, it had been entertaining for a little, but then grew old.
Able to sense Anri’s energy she aware how much stronger he was, the Makaio wanting no part of a fight with him. The reason for her increased power was simply to show him the truth of her nature. Smiling as he walks up to her, slowly making his way around her smaller frame she couldn’t help but giggle. The demoness did not mind being the center of attention in scenarios like this, but it was a little awkward how he took so much interest in expecting her. Such a naïve girl Carmen knew nothing about attraction and the like. The way he looked her over might imply too many that he had an interest in her physical form. Of course that wasn’t the case so thankfully Carmen did not see it that way. As he made his way all the way around her she clasps her hands behind her back.
”My strength doubles when I take this form, but I am not sure about others of my race…I have never met one.” There was no sadness in her words, for she had never known her own race and as far as she could remember had never been close to anyone. Still smiling she scans him up and down as he gives her the chance. From the moment she had met him, the coloring of his body had seemed so different, almost resembling an animal more than anything else. This close she was able to see how tough his skin looked, the scales seeming rough to the touch. Biting her lower lip the Makaio asks a question.
”Can I touch you?” It was a simply request, but one she thought he might reject. Many people, she had found, preferred their personal space. Several days ago she had come across a woman with wonderful blonde hair and when Carmen had touched it without permission the girl did not react kindly. Anri was far stronger than that human had been so she didn’t want to do anything that might anger him. Up until this point he had seemed rather calm and level headed, but one never knew what might set an individual off.

It had been a simple task encircling the young girl and getting a look at her, he had thought she might be against or even upset at the idea as many people he had come across didn't take too well being looked over in such a manner. Carmen seemed to instead like the idea of someone paying so much attention too her, making things all the more easier for Anri, though it wasn't as though it was a very in depth scan on her person. While her body appeared too be that of a person who was much older; Anri wasn't actually sure since humans... or at least their bodies, seemed too look alike, but her mind was similar too that of a young one; energetic, cheerful, and looked when the spot light was focused on her. Even children back home acted in such a manner but it didn't last long after they joined the ranks of the military, it was a refreshing sight for the home sick alien too witness. With the walk through once over he took his stance in front of the girl as she placed her hands behind her back and clasped them together over at her waist.
With his question about her people the answer she gave him was one he had expected though he couldn't sense any tone of sadness with it which had been expected as well, from the sounds of it she had awaken in the field not even knowing just how it was she had gotten there in the first place. With no memories of her people it made things all the more difficult to learn just what she was but he was sure in time he could dig up a bit about what it was she really was. There was plenty of which Anri wanted to learn about this world and all its wonders but it seemed like the more time he spent here the more questions came to rise making the list ever longer than the answers. Though it wasn't as though he didn't have plenty of time too do it in, compared too these humans he could out live four of their generations and a little bit more if he was lucky. Hundreds of years to look for answers too life's questions but for right now he was going to keep focused on Carmen, as she was still there for him to ask her questions.
It was becoming apparent too Anri how the girl was looking him over, which given is foreign alien looks it wasn't unexpected of people to give him such a look, at first it had been annoying but he had grown to like it, it made him stick out from everyone else. It also made him a target as no one would ever forget a face like his, but not everything in life was an advantage. With all the life forms he had come across in the past he had never found another race which shared any similar armored bodies as his own, few had plates or something similar as such embedded in their skin but it wasn't the same. Along with the gills that trace the side of his neck his appearance was defiantly out of this world and maybe even this universe. At Carmen's question it didn't take but a second for Anri to respond back to her as he was thinking that she might ask just that question.
"Of course, its only fair after all... just give me a second." He held up his finger as he reached up too the bandoleer that was strapped over his chest, with a few small snaps did he take the black leathery strap off and place it on the ground next too him. If she was going to get a good idea of what a Vennor was, then the leather strap would only get in her way, and the awe that shinned in her eyes it was obvious that she was interested in him , though it hard for him too tell just way in what that was.
Coming down too one knee too make it easier for Carmen since Anri was taller than the normal human, it should make it easier for her too do what ever it was she was about too do. He was actually curious as too exactly what it was that she might do, because lets face it the way she had rubbed the winged woman he might be here for awhile with all the unusual features that his body had on it. Anri didn't mind after all he had done too her he couldn't really protest her wanting to do the same thing to him as well, and plus there was no where he had too be today, at least he didn't think so. Kemuri hadn't given him any orders too do in the last few days, so it had been free roam since then, letting him do whatever it was he pleased.
Turning his face too meet her eyes did Anri nodded his head giving the girl the go ahead too do as she wished, though he held up his fingers too the gills on his neck.
"Just, be careful with these guys, tad bit sensitive. Kind of like my lungs... well my second lungs." He joked as she shook his head back and forth.
Now that he had given the go ahead if she reach out toward any of his plates that covered his body she would find that the hard plates where warm too the touch as if she was holding her hands nearby a fire pit, not hot enough to burn her but enough that he would make a great heater in the winter months. Running her hands down the armor she would feel that they were smooth too the touch in most area's with a few scratches and dings occasionally popping up. Battle scars as most of his people would say but it was more of a joke since hurting a Vennor was a task proven even difficult too his own people that was until the more recent years proved weapons more efficient that their armor plates. Anri had seen many fights in short time he had been alive and there was only more too come, if it had not been for the armor which covered his body then he would have been dead hundreds of times over by now. If however Carmen would touch the gills on his neck she would would first not that like the rest of his body they were warm as well but also a tad bit moist as the gills would flap and move about as cool air escape from the slits in his neck. As he had mentioned before it was compared to a set of lungs and he hadn't been lying about that, feeling similar too that of a dogs nose but much warmer.

Getting permission to touch him the Makaio waits as he removes the bandoleer that hung across his chest. A patient girl most of the time Carmen restrains herself from reach out of moving any closer as he sets the item aside, not really thinking it had been in the way, but not minding that he was removing it either. In most cases she did not touch others, only if she found something about them interesting. Her interactions with Anri and Tenshi so far had been a little odd, but that was only because the two of them were so unique compared to most of the people she had met so far. For starters Tenshi had beautiful wings, a feature that you never saw on a human. On top of that the armored female had quite interesting stories, adventures more exciting than anything Carmen had ever done.
With him now down on one knee the pink haired girls powers down, stepping up to him as she does. Taking a lap around him first she eyes him up and down, confirming that the majority of his body was covered in the same armored skin that the front of him was. Her sharp eyes did not miss the numerous scars that littered his body, signs that he had been in numerous fights over his life. His armored, scarred skin was quite the opposite of the Makaio’s smooth and soft skin, their lives no doubt very different. Walking all the way around him she looks to the gills on his neck, nose crinkling some at the way they move.
”Those look gross…no offense.” Carmen says, realizing it was a bit rude halfway through the sentence. ”Aren’t they a hindrance when you fight? They look like they might be a bit more delicate than the rest of your body.” With that she reaches forward and pokes him in the chest, feeling now how warm he is. Raising an eyebrow she drags her finger the rest of the way across his armored chest to make sure it just wasn’t that spot. It was strange how warm he was, almost like humans got when they sat in the sun so long. Carmen herself never seemed to get hot or cold no matter what the elements where. Little did she know that he body just regulated its temperature better than many creatures, the trait part of her genetic makeup.
”Why are you so warm? “ She adds to her previous question, wondering if he might overheat should he stay in the sun to long. Then again perhaps it was just his external temperature; it did not mean that his internal temperature was as high. What a curious creature. Thinking about herself, Tenshi and Anri the female started to wonder something. Why was it that so many creatures of different origin found their way to Earth? The human’s really had nothing to offer that she had seen so why did so many foreign creatures end up here? In her case she knew the answer…well sort of, she just appeared here, but these people had chosen to come here.

Crouched on the roof top Anri waited and watched as the young girl made a slow lap around him just as Anri had done too her earlier, he laughed at the thought that she was just copying what he had done, though it could have been she was genuly curious about his alien features. Compared to other aliens he had met in the past he still thought him self as an odd being compared too them, very foreign too what he had come across, never finding much in which he shared physically with other life forms. While the humans... well the humans were something of which he had seen many different types of before though at the surface they shared similar characteristic, it was what was underneath their skin that made all the differences between the two different races. Even the winged woman, Tenshi was something that he could easily compare to the humans, their outside structure was almost the same leaving the only main difference was her long expansive wings. How it was that two similar races existed on worlds that were probably light years away from each other came to be was beyond him. Sure they're were a few things that could explain it but no would probably ever know the truth of it, as it happened many, many years ago, so far that his people might have still be living in trees once more... or even before that.
Commenting at the gills on his neck Anri looked over his shoulder at her with one eye brow raised slightly.
"Thanks...." He rolled his eyes and gave a weak laugh, good to know what she really thought about his appearance. And here he was thinking he was a handsome stud.
"If you asking if it will hurt more to get hit there, the answer is yes. My plates are there to protect me from most damage that comes my way and as my neck is not protected it is more vulnerable. Though it's not as though one punch there and I'm finished, it will hurt but I will still be able to keep going for awhile more. It's the reason we're trained to defend those weak points on our body the best we can because if someone wants to take us out then that's where they would go, in that case we can predict just how they are going to hit us so we prepare of such an attack. So I wouldn't say delicate but its certainly not a place where I would liked to be hurt." He winced thinking back to the fight he had with Jenn, the torrent of fire that had escaped from her mouth had sent blistering waves of pain into his unprotected neck, even now with the memory flashing back into his head he could feel the heat of flames licking at his gills.
With his words said it was Carmen who reached down with her hand and pressed it lightly on his chest prodding at the thick armor that lined his torso, eventually her hand slid around the plate. Anri took notice of the strange look that followed on her face, having expected as much as it was not normal for people to be as warm as he was and he had to admit it was very usual compared to all the races he had come across. Warm blooded, cold blooded but never hot blooded as the Vennor's were, it was either a twist of fate or just evolution that brought his people to they way they were but Anri wasn't going to complain about it, it beat having to wait for the suns morning rays to heat his body.
"Just how my people are. Our hearts beat faster and our bodies retain heat much better due to our thick plates, so the rapid heart beat generates more heat and the plates trap the heat inside of our bodies. Compared too you or these humans you are cold to the touch, its all comparatively of course. Nothing is really cold, just cooler than you are... unless its ice then yes that is cold." He joked at the last part.
Now that Carmen had checked him over a few times there wasn't too much else that he could show her of himself without removing his plates from his body and he wasn't about to do that in such a foreign world and not to mention the process was painful, luckly though as of yet he had never had to do it before in his life and wasn't very much looking forward too it, if the time ever arose. With one leg already resting on the ground he let the other one join it as he quickly crossed his legs over one another sitting lightly on the roof top. Reaching over to the black band he had lowered onto the ground Anri picked it up in his leathery hands and behind to fix it back over his shoulder and clasping the two pieces together in the front.
"I wish there was more you knew about your kind, you seem very interesting, your physical traits are so similar too that of these humans and yet you have power that they clearly do lack. Just not the long teeth but your power behind it all. I haven't come across any humans as of yet with any where near your power... would you like to make a trip too the place were you awoke. Maybe it might trigger a memory?" He asked Carmen, it wasn't so much that Anri wanted to help the girl it was more for the fact that he was curious about how she came to be into this world. It wasn't every day that you awoke as a new person with no memories of your past, no one around to explain what happened. Anri in the past had faced a similar situation back on Alpha prime but at least some of his memories of his home and held strong in mind, though not so much of the peoples faces he had come across but the planet its self.
"So what do you think? Might be in the mood for a little 'road trip'?" Anri asked using the word "road trip" lightly as where they were going they didn't need roads to get there. He hoped she would say yes, enjoying a nice conversation was always interesting but some adventuring would sure to make a great story later on.

Carmen did not miss the small roll of his eyes at her observation nor did she care that he had done it. The comment wasn’t meant to be offensive; it was just her honest opinion on his gills. That was one of the thing that she could not stand about the humans, they always preferred to lay to each other than face the brutal reality of truth. So often their “opinions” were nothing more than what they thought the other wanted to hear, rambling off nonsense just so that their companions might feel good about themselves. While the pink haired girl looked very human it would be an insult to group her with them. She understood the confusion based solely on appearance, but now that Anri knew exactly what she was it was unlikely that he would make that mistake again.
Listening to his response about the gills along his neck Carmen had to admit it seemed weird that such an armored individual would have a weak spot like that, or at least one that was more sensitive than the rest of him. The fact his race trained to defend the area was all well and good, but it was still something she figured must have been bothersome. He could keep his arms up all he wanted to fend off attacks aimed towards his gills, yet that would leave his armored body completely open. Tough as it was the scars on it told that it was not indestructible, especially if he was focused on defending elsewhere. Well…his problem really. As far as Carmen knew she didn’t have any “weak spots” her frail looking bother tougher than it looked and quite capable of taking blows….although she preferred to avoid them.
”Even more of a reason for me not to touch them.” Carmen giggles, not really having needed another reason not to do so.
The warmth of his body was no weakness, but it was no less strange. Glancing up to the blinding Sun she wondered how he might fare if he was to remain outside for too long a time. Humans and other fare skinned creatures tended to burn, the heat even deadly for them if exposed for too long. While the armor protected him from blows could it lead to him over heating, his gills trying up? So many questions, one seeming to rise to the surface every time that Anri explained something. While part of her wanted to ask away, the other part didn’t really want to listen to a longer explanation. Perhaps if she just remained in the sun with him she would see the results herself. Thankfully he changes the topic back to her anyway, comment on the small number of differences between her and the humans below. When he mentions returning to the spot she first remembered seeing the pink haired girl glances of towards the outskirts of the city. It wasn’t that far…if you could fly.
”Well, if you want. I wandered around a little when I first arrived on Earth, but it didn’t help me remember how I had gotten here. I would be happy to those you though; it’s much quieter out there than it is in the city. However; there is one condition.” Carmen pauses for a moment as she smiles at him. It wasn’t a dangerous or serious condition, but one that would make things a lot easier for her. ”You are going to have to carry me over there. I have no idea how all of you people fly around everywhere, it’s something I am not capable of.” It was again the honest truth, the small girl having no idea how to utilize the Ki in her body to fly. Perhaps one day she would learn…but why learn when someone was always around to carry you!
