Wind swept across the grassy field looking like a sea of green as it wavered with each gust of wind that passed across, such a breeze was bliss for Vixi as she danced through the tall grass, each of the blades reaching up to her mid thigh. Flailing her arms around she bounced and spun in circles as she ran through the green plants, even though she was alone she was having a blast to just be alive. It was the first time she had ever experienced the strong gusts of winds in such a open field, the feeling was overwhelming as she laughed her face glowing red with joy. Falling of her own accord Vixi landed on her back in the tall grass; rolling back and forth in the plants she carved out a small crater in the grass looking somewhat similar too her body. Sitting up she sighed with joy as she looked down the hill to the city below, her bright orange hair blowing in the gust of wind as he ears twitched from the tickling of her own hair. It was a beautiful sight to behold, the tall buildings seemed to grow out of the ground and stretch out as they reached towards the clouds and heavens beyond. She longed to know what it felt like to reach up so high that she could literally touch the clouds, they looked so fat and fluffy she wondered if they tasted good at all.
Craning her head she scanned from side to side as she looked over the city, even from this distance she could occasionally pick out one of the small metal creatures that always seemed in a hurry as the sped past her down the black ground. The whole city seemed strange with all the sights and sound, she wanted to get a closer look at them but her father told her to keep away from other people. Vixi didn't really understand why he wouldn't let see the sights of the city but she obeyed him, he was all that she knew and had close to her heart. Aside from a few blurry memories she didn't remember anything other than her father and the tank...she wondered what had become of her first home, her first care taker. Father had told her to forget such things as it was no longer her home, but curiosity was a trait that burned in her head, she had tried many times to find her old home but with so many different scents in the city it had proved more difficult than she could handle. After father had disappeared she didn't know what to do so she set out to see the city, hoping that she would run across father in her journeys but as of yet she had seen no sign of him. She was saddened by the fact but hadn't given up hope on finding him, she never would, she loved her father and she knew he loved her.
Standing up she turned around to look at the grass angel she had made, hands on her hips she took pride in her simple work, but that's when she took notice of the giant stone wall that rested but a few hundred feet away from here. Vixi questioned why she had not seen it before but she was pretty busy with having fun rather than seeing where she was going. With her smile spreading back on her face again she starting jogging towards the rock wall, her curiosity was taking her over again, trudging her forward to try and understand why the wall was there. As her speed picked up she dropped down on to all fours and dash forward cutting blades of grass with each stride as her tail flicked in a blur of orange in her wake. Without slowing down a bit Vixi jumped up the surface of the wall and climbed straight up it as if it wasn't even there to begin with, the quick dash up the wall took a few seconds before she was atop the stone monster. Once on top she saw the mighty castle that the walls had been hiding she understood why such a structure had been built in the first place, it seemed as though the person that lived here didn't want to share their castle. Vixi thought that such a thing was rude, sharing was something she knew right off the bat, she couldn't remember who taught her it thought, it could have been her father but the memories were foggy to her.
Thinking little else about the castle she wanted to explore the rocky wall first, it seemed to stretch down ether way she looked at it, almost appearing that it would never end. Wanting to explore where exactly the wall would talk her she began to walk down the path, holding her arms stretched out she kept her balance as she walked playful across the walls top. Flipping forward she placed her hands on the ground as she began to walk on her hands, finding it much more fun to walk this way as her legs where kicked out towards the sky. It was funny when she first popped out the tank she would barely walk but now she was able to walk while doing a hand stand. With the winds still blowing her hair danced in the breeze as the light from the sun gave it the appearance of looking like flames as they tossed around her head.

All things considered today was sizing up to be a surprisingly GOOD day at least comparatively speaking, while still rather firmly under the thumb of Kemuri Jenn was beginning to grow at least somewhat fond of the property surrounding the castle... the castle itself was alright but it felt somewhat tainted by Kemuri's constant presence within it and as well despite its roomy design it was still quite closed in and after Kais-know how long she'd spent in her ring Jenn was more than ready for a bit of time out in the sun. Since settling into 'castle life' she'd taken to resting in one of two place, her hallway OR wherever she happened to be at the time outside presently Jenn was resting atop the very wall that separated the castle from the world at large it was as far as she opted to go not exactly knowing if Kemuri had some method of discerning her location and not really wanting to get pulled back and have to see the hyena's smug prick face, it was east enough to make the wall comfortable to relax on with simple manifestation of a couple of pillows, once that was done it provided an amazing view of both the landscape WITHIN the walls and outside.
The view was such that she could even see some of the outside world, it was about as good a view as she had gotten in the few hours she had spent exploring the Earth before the whole 'save Kaladar' fiasco, but now the view was tempted with knowledge gained from her stay at UNITY, smatterings of knowledge of technology, the strange metal carts that the people of Earth used to buzz about their cities now were certainly in that same vein though of course they probably fell into the less 'evil' aspect of technology that she had encountered there. Much as she had come to detest technology in most of its forms due to how utterly frustrating it was attempting to operate anything that wasn't the eye-patch she DID know that it was not all evil, one didn't need to be evil to be annoying and she was more than willing to accept such, on top of the metal carts she had also seen something that she was CERTAIN had to function on some form of mystical power, a large metal THING in the sky, it had what Jenn approximated to be something akin to wings but they did not flap and when she extended her sense she could actually feel energy signatures within the thing and yet it gave off no energy itself.
Jenn's thoughts were interrupted as Jenn felt a sudden flare of energy quite nearby, where before she had vaguely detected an energy signature that she had passed off as perhaps an abnormally strong animal NOW that very same signature was scaling the wall and as Jenn opened her eyes she saw a very humanoid figure spring over the wall and into the castle's property. Blinking a few times Jenn pulled herself to a seated position to see if what she had seen was accurate and she found that the figure she had detected and seen was in fact on the castle property... walking on its hands Jenn let out a heavy sigh as she looked to the heavens "I can’t have one day of peace? Not even just one?" She asked before picking herself up straightening her human forms normal attire as she jumped off the wall towards the stranger landing gracefully a few feet away. "Hello there, I don't quite think you know where you are." Jenn said calmly attempting to draw the girls attention, unless she was mistaken it was generally not acceptable for people to simply jump onto the property of royalty and Kemuri was certainly not the sort to let a trespasser go without harm.

Vixi was enjoying her hand walking across the wall top even though the stone was rough and dirty she didn't really mind the filth that clung to her, despite the fact she hadn't bathed since...well since she was in the tank she still had a glow of radiance that seem present on her body. Pieces of grass that had clung to her skirt were taken in by the wind as they drifted out above the open field as she watched in awe at the small blades of grass, it was though she was watching magic unfold before her. The simple beauty in the world always seemed to be amazing to the young girl, finding beauty in things that most people would over look for being something they saw every day. Keeping her eyes focused on the sky dancing green she didn't even notice the woman who had jumped from the other side of the wall and landed but a few feet away from Vixi. Though she didn't have the ability to speak such as others she had meet before she could well understand others, Vixi couldn't tell if she was in trouble or not but father had told her if she came across any people that she should run, if anyone had gotten her hands on her it would have ended badly.
She was a rather beautiful looking human as far as Vixi's standers went though she didn't know much about those things, she had almost trusting look to her even though she could sense that she wasn't all to thrilled to see her. As if on impulse Vixi jumped down from the wall on the castle side as she landed on the ground with a light tap and made off dashing towards the mighty castle. Already moving on all fours adrenaline pumped through her veins as she tired to make her way away from the strange woman. Her orange hair made her appeared to be a orange streak as she carved through the grassy fields towards the stone castle, her tail whipping back in forth through the green blades. She had no idea who the castle belonged to or if anyone actually lived there but it seemed like the best to place to hide, it was a pretty open area surrounding the castle other than the occasional crater that were scattered all over the area. Father had told her if she was ever spotted by anyone that she should run and not think twice about it, he was the only one she could trust, and she trusted him with all her heart.
Her plan was simple at this point, she was quite sure that she could out run the woman as no one she had ever meet before had been able to keep up with how fast she could run. Once she got far enough from her she would hid out in the castle until night fall then make her way back to the park in the city, it was the only place she really felt safe at, it was the last place that she had ever seen her father. It was her hope that he would come back there to see her one day so she went back every night and waited for him to return. Often at times she would try so hard to stay up she would fall asleep on the swing drifting in the breeze as she dozed quietly under the night sky.

Taking an actual look at the girl Jenn found herself a bit surprised by her appearance, at first she had simply assumed the girl had been just an extraordinary human girl, the idea that a girl this young looking could be as powerful as Jenn could sense from this girl was a tad surprising but at the same time it was not the first time she had met such a girl, Carla was probably about the same age as this girl if not YOUNGER which really only made Carla's strength all the more impressive to her of course Jenn rather quickly realized that this girl wasn't quite the same as Carla, as far as she knew Carla WAS a normal human girl... but as Jenn got a good look at the girls head she noted a pair of additions that indicated that the girl was perhaps not as human as she had assumed, a pair of fox-like ears sat atop the girls head and were it not for how they moved and twitched to pick up various little sounds around the girl Jenn might have even assumed them potentially fake.
The girl was just a bit TOO human looking to be an actual animalfolk, usually they possessed more visual traits than just ears to indicate heritage, it was especially uncommon for mammal-based ones to lack a coat of fur. Was it possible the girl was a hybrid? As far as Jenn knew it was technically possible if surprisingly uncommon but usually rather than getting a visually half/half the child came out looking either Human or Animalfolk, but of course many years had passed, Jenn had long seen the effects time had on what was considered 'fact' perhaps this was the result of many years of mixing between human and animalfolk? It was actually a rather pleasant thought there had always been such a division between the two races and the possibility for them to become one on some level was a pleasant one.
Jenn watched as the girl took a brief moment to look her over after she had captured her attention and for a few moments Jenn thought this would all be rather easy the girl would hop down and they would talk about what she was doing here but like a stray cat the girl suddenly bolted off leaving Jenn standing stunned by her speed and the fact that she hadn't even bothered to say a word. Jenn let out a sigh as she turned to catch a look at where the girl was headed and when she noted that the girl was making a beeline for the castle she let out a groan of frustration, it didn't SEEM likely that the girl was a thief or a new recruit. From what she had observed she was likely just some lost girl having fun that was likely worried she had done something wrong.
But heading to the castle was a BAD choice and Jenn knew she needed to stop the girl before she made it too far, powering up Jenn tore off after the girl at top speed with luck her powering up would draw no attention as it was not uncommon for her to do so while training particularly hard. The girl was fast, impressively so, but even pushing just a bit Jenn could more than match the girl's pace fairly easily and pushing a bit further allowed her to overtake the girl swooping around the girl in an effort to place herself in her path "Hold on child, there is no need to run you are not in any trouble. That castle is not a safe place to be, a very bad man lives there." Jenn informed softly hoping not to spook the girl any further.

Dashing past the craters that lined the field through the tall grass Vixi could see the castle up a head growing in size with every gallop she took. With the speed that she was putting out she had managed not to even tear a single blade of grass as she ran away from the wall where the woman had spotted her. Vixi had no idea where the woman had come from, she wasn't on the wall when she first came up, she seemed to come out of now where. Usually she would be able to smell a person long before she would even be able to see them coming, but the strong winds that tossed the grasses around had blocked the woman's scent as she had approached. Regardless of how the woman had gotten the drop on her she was far behind her at this point, she had never met anyone that was capable of catching her once she was running on all fours.
Ears flicking at a new sound Vixi that pierced over the wings she slowed down as she scanned the area ahead of her, since her usual tacit of using scent to find people wasn't working she had to rely on her vision to find what it was that was creating such a sound. It sounded almost like the winds that ran through the field of grass but much faster than what she was hearing coming towards her, cocking her head side ways she tried to make sense of what she was hearing but that's when the blurry movement of the woman appeared in front of her. Her speed was amazing to the fox girl, she had never seen anyone move as fast as she had just then, the awe quickly wore off as she remember that she had in fact just been running from that same person not second before. The panic set in once again as her eyes shot around the field, trying to find another place to hid that was out of the path of the woman.
Before Vixi had a chance to dash off in another direction the woman spoke to the girl, this time her voice seemed more relaxed than that first time she had heard her. Cocking her head to the side Vixi looked at the woman her ears flickering as she tried to make sense of what she had been told, her mastery of the English language was getting stronger with every passing day, though she could not speak it she had a much better grip over understand it. Relaxing slightly her tail lowered as it fell over on to a patch of grass as it crushed the green strips of growth beneath it, showing the woman that she understood what she was being told. She wished she could speak like the woman did she longed for herself to be able to communicate with others, all she could do was nod her head or draw if she had the right materials. Though father had told her not too talk to people she really had the wanted too, she didn't know why but the little voice that was trapped inside of her head told her too.
Crouched on her knees she looked up at the woman who at this point was towering over her, the scene reminded her of when she had tried to escape from the white labyrinth and with the big man, it had not been long since she had last saw him but she wondered just how he was doing. At this point Vixi didn't know what too do next, though she could always try to bolt away from the woman she feared that like before she would out pace her and she would be stuck in the same situation as she was now. It wasn't likely that the woman would try and hurt her, she did after all just stop her from going to a 'bad mans' castle, at the same time though she didn't even know this person. Vixi though maybe this was the reason that father didn't want her talking to people, she understood why now, oh how she begged to be back on the play ground, maybe her father was there waiting for her.

This girl was VERY strange she moved and even to a very signifigant extent ACTED like an animal at first Jenn had been too distracted by catching up to the girl to realize how she was running but once she had actually caught up it was easy enough to see the girl was running on all fours with FAR greater ease than any creature with a build like a human had any right to, she'd never even seen animalfolk move like that which just raised even more questions... perhaps the girl was just an alien like Anri? The likelihood of an alien being so very similar to not just one of Earths races but BOTH seemed odd but then again she didn't even know how large the universe truly was who was to say that such a thing could not exist in some distant corner of the universe? It was easy enough to keep pace with the girl even despite how fast she could move on all fours and once she overtook the girls pace and placed herself in her path there was one of two ways things would have gone down, either the girl would ignore her and proceed, or stop and listen.
Thankfully the girl went for the latter halting initially because otherwise she likely would not have simply crashed into Jenn and in that brief moment Jenn saw something curios the girl looked terrified her eyes immediately darting around perhaps either looking for more threats or a new avenue of escape but thankfully her words had gone a long way to calming the girl down, her tail drooped in a sign of relaxation and not soon after the girl followed suit crouching low and looking up at her with a curious yet understanding expression. It was a bit of an oddity that the girl hadn't said a word yet, it was rather obvious that she COULD hear and even better could understand her, the way her ears twitched and how she reacted to her words made that obvious enough and yet the girl had not made so much as a peep.
Dropping down to one knee so she was at the girls level Jenn gave her a friendly smile "Thank you, I was a bit worried that you would dash off again, if you DO decide at some point to go for another run try anywhere BUT that place" Jenn said pointing her thumb toward the castle even though she didn't much like the idea of the girl dashing off again if she DID it was best that wherever she decided to run to wasn't Kemuri's castle. "Now do you have a name? Mine is Jenn" She said hoping to finally coax some words out of the little fox girl along with perhaps relaxing her a bit more with friendly conversation as while she wasn't running off she still didn't seem completely comfortable with the present situation.

Having been cut off in her tracks by the woman she was now standing over her like David and the Goliath, the woman wasn't too much taller than her in heels, but crouching down against the ground on her hands and knees made the woman seem much bigger than she actually was. It wasn't the size of her that made Vixi fear her, but the sheer speed she had displayed just a few seconds before; had Vixi not heard her coming she might have ran straight into her. This was the first time she had ever meet anyone that had been faster than her, the thought have never crossed her mind that she would ever find such a person but after witnessing what she could do she knew she was defeated. Vixi couldn't throw a punch, and she was still having issues controlling her powers but what she was best at was running, away or too, she could even scale walls as long as she could get a good grip. The fact that the woman had beaten her with out so much a breaking a sweat saddened the girl as he ears fell sadly against her head, releasing a deep sigh she decided that it was alright. There was no need to be the best at every thing, she would rather have fun than win any day, plus the woman didn't seem like a bad person, she did warn her about the bad guy that lived in the castle.
Bending down the woman took a knee so that she was now at eye level with Vixi, now that they were on about the same level she didn't look quite as scary as before, then again the noon sun wasn't casting down on her creating deep shadows on her face anymore. They added to the level intimidation she had been giving off, but now Vixi could truly make out her face. She was young, not nearly as young as Vixi but maybe just a few years older, she had the beauty of maturity while Vixi displayed that of youth. Flawless skin smooth skin that seemed to have a healthy glow to it in the sun light, plump lips and deep pools of blue in her eyes, she was just as beautiful as Vixi if not more. Vixi had never met some one quite like her before, thinking that she might be like her she tried to lean around her to get a better look at her back side. Leaning to the side a few inches her ears flickered with interest as she wanted to see if the woman had a tail like her, however the woman proved just a bit to tall to see over without completely shifting from where she was at. Flopping her ears back down against her head she gave a sad sigh, as the woman began to talk to her one again.
Following the direction of her thumb she found that the woman was talking about the castle as she pointed towards the building, the strange woman really seemed to not like the building much, Vixi wondered why that was. Glancing around the area Vixi couldn't spot any other buildings anywhere else, it looked as though the only building within miles was the castle its self, surely she lived there. Why was it she hated it so much but decided to stay, why could she not just leave? The curiosity burned inside of her as she begged to ask the questions that flooded her mind but she knew that it was pointless, such an effort to speak would just leave her embarrassed by the lack of control she had over her self.
Asking the fox girl's name Vixi pulled back in shock, her face flushed red with embarrassment. She thought that such a thing might happen but she really hoped the woman would not have asked her, she would have preferred to keep being chased than have to go through the embarrassment of talking once again. Tail fluttering in the grass nervosuly she looked up into the woman's eyes, oh how she wished the woman had been a mind reader, things would have been so much easier this way. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath as she did her best to compose her thoughts to herself, she needed to have courage even if it meant being embarrassed. Opening her eyes once again she opened her mouth to tell the woman her name, but all that came out was a high pitched whimper, cutting off half way her face flushed red as tears rolled down her face. Oh why couldn't see speak! What made her so different! Why couldn't she just be normal like everyone else? There she was again, crying. She hated it but whenever even a little amount of pressure was placed upon her or if she was frighted it was always her first reaction, sometimes it would only last for a few seconds, other times it would last for minutes.

There were a few very tense moments where it was unclear wheather the girl would dash off yet again, she seemed so very scared and Jenn figured at least part of it might very well have come from how much power she had put out to catch up with the girl, in hindsight perhaps it would have been better to take things a bit slower but the girl just moved so fast that she hadn't been entirely sure if that would have been an option the added shock value of a sudden burst of speed had also been something she had partially banked on in order to catch the girls attention and of course while it had evidently worked it had also made the girl a bit more cautious and hopefully it would not entirely backfire on her a few more moments passed and finally the girls ears drooped slightly and she seemed willing to stick around and hear her out.
It was rather amusing to watch the girl look her over her mannerisms were somewhere between that of a small child or a curious animal like a cat or a fox, still utterly silent the girl looked her over even not so subtly attempting to crane her neck in such a manner to look behind Jenn, it didn't appear as if the girl was looking at anything actually behind her but rather trying to actually see her back though why of course she was attempting such a thing Jenn could not quite grasp perhaps once she did get the girl talking that could be something they discussed along side what exactly had brought her here or if she even knew where she was to begin with! After informing her further about not going to the castle Jenn noted an unfortunately significant amount of curiosity in the girls expression, with her luck she was only encouraging the girl to go explore the castle, it had almost slipped her mind that children generally liked to do the exact opposite of what they were expressly told NOT to do.
But then of course this girl was a bit older or at least LOOKED older, she seemed to be almost a fully grown girl as Jenn estimated her to be at least fifteen years unless she WAS an alien and thus had a far different rate of aging than what Jenn could account for but going of what she knew the girl had to be in that range from her looks and generally speaking while still a bit on the rebellious side children of that age could have the dangers of the world explained to them and many would heed proper warnings. But of course to do so she needed to start conversing with the girl and to really know if the girl understood she needed her to respond. However asking for the girls name had evidently been a BAD move, the had recoiled suddenly at the question and once again Jenn was worried the girl would scurry off but thankfully that was not the case, she sat nervously for a few moments before seeming to prepare herself to answer...
What she responded with had Jenn blinking in confusion as all the girl managed to utter was a singly high pitched whimper. Not a moment after the sound began the girl cut herself off clasping her hands over her mouth as her eyes began to water and her face flushed bright red, it was heart breaking to look at her in such a state, it was rather clear now why the girl hadn't spoken up yet, it wasn't a matter of her not wanting to it was that she couldn't the fact that she had tried so hard seemed to indicate that perhaps the girl was unused to being unable to speak. Jenn found herself moving closer to the child and assuming she allowed it wrapping an arm around her to comfort her "It's alright, its alright. No need for any of that." Jenn spoke softly, not entirely unaccustomed to soothing a crying child after raising Vitam.

She had always tried so hard to speak it always seemed to back fire on her making her look a fool to those around her, they would always give her a strange look as all she could make was high pitched squeaks or whimpers, no one understood her, it was probably the main reason she hadn't bad much of a connection to others as of yet. Whenever she would actually build up the courage to try to speak to people once again they would either walk away as she sounded like an wild animal or pity her because she wasn't normal, was she broken? Even the animals she knew she was related to some how, weren't able to understand her calls late at night to the sky, all she could do was nodded her head or flex her ears but there was so much she wanted to say, to know, she wanted to express what she felt and what she thought; her mind was trap inside the shell of her body.
Now staring at the ground she watched through her blurr vision at the crushed green that rested between her legs, broken, snapped in half from were she trampled over it earlier. Was it like her? Broken, she knew once the blade was snapped like that it would never be the same again. Was she born broken, was it her fault that she couldn't speak like all the others, what had set her apart from the rest of them? The pool of tears that were forming from her eyes fell down from her face as the landed onto the crushed grassed below her, she felt like a fool, having just met this person she was already crying in front of her but try as she might she couldn't turn it off. At this point Vixi wondered what it was all for, the more and more she saw of the world she wondered were she might fit into it, she had been born with a purpose... hadn't she? Father would have known...but she still hadn't found him yet.
Feeling the woman's hand wrap around her back Vixi's eyes shot open as she quickly looked back up at the woman, her face was filled with pity and concern as she tired to comfort her. It reminder her of her father, though they hadn't been together for very long he was always trying to comfort her, holding her close, saying nice things, just being near him made her fell happy. The simple touch of caring was more than enough to set the girl off crying in another fit, maybe it was because she had thought of father or if it was because she had found someone that generally cared if she was ok but the gave out a small howl of sadness as she lunged forward and dug her face into the woman's chest.
Even though the woman had told her name to Vixi they were still stranger at this point and even so the woman and tried to comfort her, it really didn't matter to her that she didn't know her at all it was just nice to have someone there to hold her while she cried.

Jenn was glad to see at least that the child was willing to let her comfort her, it was of course still sad to see her in such a state but it meant that there was perhaps a chance that she could help the girl. It was a curiously strange situation that the girl was clearly not naturally mute, she had met a few people some children who were unfortunately as such, some clearly wished they could speak but none reacted in the same way as this girl they were generally quite aware of there inability and thus rarely made efforts to try speaking. But this girl seemed to just moments ago be genuinely confident that she COULD speak. Perhaps she had been injured in some way recently and while outward signs of damage were healed internal damage still remained? That seemed... unlikely due to the complete lack of signs of injury even including healed damage but seemed the most likely possibility.
Frowning slightly Jenn knew at this stage it was best to simply let the child cry for a bit it was a bit surprising when the girl suddenly latched onto her and began crying aginst her chest but it didn't bother her, it brought back a few memories of Vitam when he had been younger, it had not been exceptionally common for him to get so emotional but sometimes a crack would appear in his armor and the tears would flow, much as she comforted the girl now she had done the same for him gently rubbing the girls back in an effort to sooth her in some way while humming an old song, where it had come from and if it had any meaning were things Jenn had long forgotten only the tune remained and as it had once helped calm Vitam she hoped that perhaps it might serve a similar purpose now. "It's ok, whenever you're ready we can try to find some other way of communicating." She said softly before continuing to hum
With any luck that would help to better the girls mood somewhat, there was surely some way that they could communicate outside of speech, writing would be the most simple method as all that would require would be for her to manifest the tools for such an effort that would take mere moments and hopefully go a long way toward cheering the girl up. If the girl by some unfortunate circumstance could not write then perhaps drawing would be an option the girl clearly understood her words so it would simply be a matter of asking if she was interpreting the pictures properly and working from there. The fact that this girl was simply wandering around so close to Kemuri's castle was troubling, did she not have someone looking out for her? Making sure that she didn't get into some form of trouble with no means of explaining herself? That would have to be, once the girl was ready one of her first questions, and if it turned out the girl was simply separated from whoever was to be looking out for her then she would have to help her return to them, even if it meant leaving the castle grounds it was unlikely that it would take TOO long to return her to where she belonged and have a talk with whoever had let the girl wander this close to somewhere so dangerious, so it was unlikely Kemuri would notice her leave for long enough to call her back and even in such an event she would simply warn the girl beforehand.

Vixi crouched there next to the woman as her tears cascaded out of her eyes into the shirt of the woman, she left so bad that she was letting out all her pain and fear on the woman but she could help it, whenever the need to cry sprang up inside of her there was nothing she could do to stop it from coming. All she could do when the rise came to her was to left the tears come as they may and then pick herself up afterwards and rub the leftovers from her cheeks. It felt good to cry every once and awhile but seemed like if she wasn't out searching for her father then she was laying in some park or ditch as tears pooled in her eyes, Vixi wanted it too stop but her her child like mind wasn't able to adapt to such a difficult life as of yet. Though she had been alive for sixteen years her whole exsitance had been confined to a small tube as she grew in the clear liquid over all the years, it wasn't until a week ago had she truly started to live her life. Other than the few things her father had taught her before he departed her side she was still fairly new at understanding the world around her but she was learning quickly but her emotional state was something completely different.
Rubbing her hand down Vixi's back it brought her comfort too know that the woman didn't care about how she was acting, it helped her feel not so embarrassed by her actions as he sobbed into her. Vixi often saw mothers do this to their children at the park where their child was hurt or scare, she had always wondered where they're fathers were at, she thought it was the father that was reasonable for doing such things. The more she looked over the people that showed up it looked as though it was mostly woman with their off spring that visited not fathers, which puzzled her of where her mother was at. Surely she would have one would she not? Though Vixi was confused about such things as how people were made she knew it wasn't normaly in a glass tube while others watched her, there was a mother and a father but where was hers? Father had been the one that saved her but he never talked about her mother.
Mentioning that there might be another way for them to talk to each other Vixi's ears shot up at the idea as she slowly pulled away from the woman. Her eyes at this point had turned a shade of red as the blood vessels in her eyes had swollen up quite a bit, sniffing she rubbed her face with the back of her shelves to rid the rest of tears from her face. Shaking her head she did her best to ward off the feelings of lost and pain, it would help her turn back to her normal self in time. Forcing a fake smile for the woman's sake she appeared to be better, Vixi was still upset on the inside but she didn't want the woman to have to worry about that any more. The idea of some fashion that she could talk called to her intrigued the girl, she was pretty much willing to try whatever she could if it meant she would have a way to express herself to others.

Jenn did not at all expect the rather abrupt reaction from the girl upon suggesting that they would find some other way of communicating and at first was worried that she had accidentally offended her with how quickly she pulled herself away while still rather clearly not completely done crying. A few moments passed as she cleaned her face off using her sleeves before Jenn had a chance to manifest a cloth for her to use instead and by the time that she had the opportunity the girl had already for the most part sorted herself out, she made a rather valiant attempt at trying to look fine but Jenn could tell that the smile she wore was more than just a little forced. For now she would leave it alone it wasn't exactly a GOOD sign if the girl switched gears that quickly it was natural to not be quite 'right' after such an emotional outburst. With any luck the forced smile would be replaced with a true one soon enough.
It was rather clear the girl was quite interested in finding a means of communicating, she'd only stopped crying once the potential for such had been mentioned and now it was just a matter of figuring out the best way "There we go, you're a bit better now I hope. Now lets see if we cant figure out a way for us to communicate." Jenn said giving the girl a friendly smile holding a hand out in front of herself palm facing up Jenn began focusing her energy causing a small buildup of blue smoke to begin emitting from her body, the majority simply disperse into the air but some would begin to coalesce in the palm of her hand the coalescing smoke quickly took form shaping into the form of two objects she had become acquainted with during her time in UNITY, the modern incarnation of paper and what appeared to be a common writing utensil of the modern era, a pencil. Both items were simple enough to replicate even though she had only encountered them briefly during her few rest periods during her escape but they had seemed FAR more simple to use and create than what she was used to and if the girl was able to write then mostly likely these items would be easier for her to use than what Jenn was more accustomed to.
"Do you know how to write? If not that is alright, I have a few more ideas." Jenn said offering the paper and pencil to the child but making it clear that there would be no need for her to fret over her potential inability to write, as she had said Jenn had a few more options available, if writing was not possible the others would certainly be more difficult but it would merely be a matter them being more time consuming and as she had nowhere to be anytime soon Jenn was content to take as much time as necessary.

Mentiong of another way for her to communicate Vixi perked up once again, having never be fully able to talk to people was trying on her over the time she had been free to wander away from that lab and all the people that had tried to hunt her down. Wagging her tail happily at the notion she watched as the woman stuck her hand out before her as smoke began to rise from her palm, the sudden appear of it caused Vixi to yelp in shock as she fell back in the tall grass. What had the woman just done? Eyes widened with curiosity she slowly brought her head up from the ground and peered over her skirt at what exactly the woman was doing. The smoke that was engulfing her body had almost the appearance of a flame as it danced in the air but it was much bluer than she had remember any fire to ever be. Flexing her body Vixi was able to flip herself back onto her feet as she wanted to get a better look at what she was doing with her hands. Glancing at the woman for a second Vixi put her eyes back on the smoke in her palm as she inched towards it all the while her tail flicked around wildly behind her, getting in close she began to smell the smoke trying to figure out just what it was. Of course the next step was as always to take a bite out of it too see if it was edible but before she got the chance to do such a thing the smoke congealed into the shape of a piece of paper and a pencil.
Once again Vixi flung back towards the ground her legs kicked up towards the sky at the appearance of the new object, before it had simply been smoke but she had turned it in something, how could she do such a thing? Laying on her back she stared at what Jenn had just done, it was amazing it was just like magic! She had seen street performers do such things out in the city but she had never seen it done in such away before, she must had years of practice to be able to do it so well. Vixi face was lit up with excitement at what she had just seen, her cheeks trying rosy red, it wasn't often she got to see people with such amazing talents as she had and she wanted to learn how to do such things. Flipping up once again she faced Jenn with wonder in her eyes, she longed to ask how to do that but first she would need to able to communicate with her.
Asking if she knew how to write Vixi's ears flopped down against her head after she thought about it after a moment, she had seen the big letters all around the city but had no idea what they meant, and without anyone to teach her Vixi's skills in reading and writing was non-existent. Shaking her head to respond to the question was all she could do to tell her but it didn't should like the woman was out of ideas as of yet, which kept her hope afloat that there could be more than one way for her to 'speak'. Vixi was very happy that she had met such a person out here, she had come out expect to just wonder the vast grassy hills for hours until the sun set but instead she had met Jenn and at this point she was the only person she could really call a friend. She held comforted her when she was sad and how she was helping her to talk, in a matter of speak, and that's what friends did for each other. At least that was her general idea of friendship from what she had seen from the kids at the play ground, though she often though some one them could be cruel to the others.

Jenn smirked in amusement as she got the exact sort of reaction she had been hoping to get from the girl, she'd put a bit more showmanship into her manifestation than entirely necessary in hopes that it would amuse and interest her and oh my had it rather quickly the last remnants of her sadness seemed to fade away being replaced initially by shock and then with curiosity in the span of a few moments she tumbled backward and then spring back to her feet getting far closer to the coalescing smoke than Jenn would normally expect, thankfully the smoke posed no actual thread to the girl, she'd needed to complete the manifestation slightly earlier than anticipated as she had spotted the girl slowly opening her mouth in a clear process of preparing to take a bit out of the smoke. "I don't think you would have much liked the taste of that anyway.
The girls look of utter amazement over what Jenn considered a fairly simple technique was truly priceless, it reminded her much of the first few days after she had taken in Vitam no matter how many times he witnessed her manifestation technique over the course of the first week it never failed to leave him with his jaw fast approaching the floor, it had been her constant use of the technique that had also prompted his interest in magic he had wanted to do what she did, using magic to help the people of Earth. Jenn sighed at the thought, Vitam had most certainly done quite a lot of the work towards truly bringing her around to finding the positives of the people of Earth, before him she had of course begun to see them in a better light but it had been more out of pity than anything else, Vitam had shown a truly altruistic aspect of humanity that Jenn had been utterly unaccustomed to and through him she had begun to see more.
Jenn shook her head bringing her thoughts back to the present as the sound of the girl springing back to her feet after the surprise of the sudden arrival of the pencil and paper had caused her quite a shock wiping a tear from her eye Jenn smiled put on a friendly smile again as the girl shook her head as Jenn asked her if she could write, that put an unfortunate wrinkle in things but thankfully Jenn had already been prepared for such an event "Alright then, do you think you can draw? Can you draw where you live? Or maybe your parents?" Jenn asked, she had hoped that perhaps illiteracy was far less prevalent in this era than it had been in her own there had been a bit of a surge in literacy prior to Litches arrival but where exactly that had gone she did not know. THe girl was at an age where Jenn had assumed that it was likely she would know writing but sadly that was not the case. Without writing as an option that meant it was likely for the best that they begin a search for the girls parents or other guardians, it was VERY disconcerting that someone would allow a child with almost no ready means of communication to wander in such a manner and now Jenn was VERY interested in meeting the idiot who had lost track of her.

Vix took notice as Jenn had wiped a tear away from the coner of her eye which made her concerned that Vixi had upset her some fashion but after hearing the laughter burst front from her mouth she knew she had been laughing at her falling once again. She didn't mind that she was laughing at her, it was kind of funny how easily she fell not once but twice in a row at Jenn's magical capabilities, giving her a cheery smile Vixi's face lit up once more as she was ready for whatever the woman had in store for her. Jenn was fun to hang around with, she treated her like an actual person and not like some kind of wild animal, it was almost as though she was having a normal childhood though such a time for that had longed past given her age, but it was good for her still developing mind to be nurtured in such a way.
Mentioning that she could indeed not write didn't phase Jenn too much as she still wanted to continue on the adventure of finding away that the girl could communicate. Asking her if she could draw Vixi leaned back in the grass as her tail flipped back and forth as she went into a deep thought, she couldn't remember of a time where she had ever drawn something before but she was willing to give it a shot if it meant she could get her ideas out there in the open for people too see. Shaking her head at the idea she shrugged her shoulders but stretched out and took a hold of the paper and pencil, having never used either one of the tools before she had some difficulty figure out what too do with them. At first she ending up ripping a small hole through the paper as she pressed too hard into it with the wrong end, giving a small whimper of frustration but she didn't give up on the idea just yet. Eventually as the black tip of the pencil made contact with the paper she saw a dark line form on its surface where ever she lead the object, squeaking with joy she turned she showed Jenn what she had accomplished as the joy sparkled in her eyes.
Thinking back to what Jenn had said about drawing, where she lived or her father she thought she might as well give a shot too both of them. Taking a deep breath she began to sketch down whatever she though the park where she would usually stayed at looked like, with her tongue sticking out of the corner of her mouth and a look of udder concentration she worked away at the paper. Her strokes were slow but the picture was coming along well, she even thought she would draw herself and her father into the picture as well. The last time she remember them together was when he was sitting next to her on the swings as they talked and talked for hours, it was fun just being there with him.
After about a good ten minutes of constant work on the drawing Vixi pulled away from it as she held it out in front of her as far as her arm would allow her too. Turning it side ways and once upside down she looked it over from every possible angle before she lifted her concentrated look and replaced it with a grin. Satisfied with her work she handed the punctured paper to Jenn with her rosy cheeks brightening up again. Looking the drawing over Jenn could have sworn it was as if she was holding a picture of the park in front of her and not a drawing that had been done by a girl who was now eating a pencil. Every detail seemed to fill the once blank paper, the cracks on the side walk, leaves in the trees even the shadows that the two of the casted as they sat side by side in the swings. The man that was sitting next to Vixi was obviously her father, he was a average height man with a lanky build to his structure, his bad vision was clear by the glasses he worn on his face but the lenses seemed a tad too small for his eyes. Though Vixi had only one color to draw such a drawing with she had marked the mans hair very hard with the pencil as too note his hair was black along with the small goatee that lined his jaw and upper lip.
