Jenn hummed to herself as she stretched a few feet away from the tent, today unlike most days it was she who had awoken before Vixi, primarily she had done so in order to prepare for today. Yesterday had been quite eye opening to Jenn, it had shown her that Vixi was a bit more sneaky than she had given her credit for but most importantly showed that Vixi lacked nearly any ability to protect herself her wounds were nicely bandaged up now and she would certainly be up and about shortly but the girl should have never gotten to such a state to begin with. her power seemed to grow by the day any yet she had somehow managed to almost be layed low by TREES of all things. If it had not almost been the death of Vixi Jenn would have likely found the idea amusing. Today Jenn planned assuming Vixi was capable of being up and about, how to protect herself she'd nearly gotten involved in a physical confrontation with a Dragon and potentially a human with far more power than her. Vixi was such a gentle thing though so Jenn highly doubted she would be particularly interested in learning how to properly take down an enemy and as such jenn was prepared to teach her ways to fight defensively and the best ways to escape conflict.
On top of that Jenn had a few other plans for the day, Vixi had come a long way in terms of understanding. She'd even managed to give Jenn a name to put to her adorable face it would likely not be long until she had Vixi writing considering how bright she was, Jenn was quite thankful for the experience she had in this aspect, Vitam had needed to be taught how to write as well and while Vixi could not speak she could takenfully understand spoken word which made it about roughly as difficult to teach her as it had been to teach Vitam. And much as she had with Vitam Jenn planned to pass onto Vixi a few of her mystical techniques assuming the girl was capable of it, with the power Vixi had put out prior to her arrival Jenn was certain that she'd be capable of learning a few mystical techniques and the interest she always showed whenever she preformed a bit of magic certainly meant that the girl would jump at the chance to preform the techniques herself.
All that needed to be done was finding the best way to help the girl understand the concepts behind the techniques, if the girl was not already aware of mystical power or any other form of energy manipulation then getting the concepts across could be a bit of a task in and of itself, but thankfully the technique Jenn had in mind was perhaps one of the better ones for Vixi, the girl had time and again demonstrated that she had a mind that could capture a scene and replant it onto paper, her drawings were like still images of events that she had seen and that was why Jenn felt so confident she would pick up manifestation with ease, a good portion of the technique was the mental visualization of the item to be manifested, with luck she would pick that up quickly and then they could move onto lessons in self defense.
It was from there that Jenn planned to teach Vixi another technique one that Jenn was certain would give her a significant edge in protecting herself and would build off of her being taught manifestation, the enhanced shield technique was the perfect place to take things once Vixi had a firm enough grasp on protecting herself but of course how long it would take to get to the point where she could teach her that technique would ultimately depend upon how long it would take to both have Vixi understand why she was being taught these things and getting her to a firm enough understanding of the manifestation technique and practical self defense maneuvers.

It was an odd sensation the girl found in herself in as the the crisp morning in began to make its way into the still open flap of the tent way, usually this early in the day it was not Jenn to rise first for the morning sun rather the young girl who at up to this point was rolling uncomfortable back and forth on the piles of pillows that had been placed on the flooring as her bedding, not one accustomed to sleeping on beds like a normal person she had grown fond of sleeping in such a mannerism as Jenn had shown to her, the idea of a bed was not something that really took any charm to her, being that she still lacked any experience with the usally wooden based structures, sleeping in this way seemed just as good if not better than a bed so she had decided to stick with it plus Jenn seemed fond of it. Up to this point the young girl had taken quite a shine to the blue skinned woman, following her examples and mannerism though she had still managed to keep most of her true identity though changing her body to remove her fuzzy tail and ears would seem something that would have proved quite problematic. Being that her father had left her all alone in the world she really didn't have anyone who she could relie on, that was until she had meet Jenn that one fateful day, it was strikingly odd that the two had bonded so quickly but Vixi seemed to have a certain charm in that fact; most people though she was an adorable little thing that desired protect and too be looked after, which was pretty much spot on; it could have also been the fact that both seemed to have a empty spot in their heart that needed filling. The girl did have great strength but her sweet caring nature by birth had made it almost but impossible for her to muster into anything more than uses to run away rather than fight her way out of situations. Fighting for her was never an option, she hated the idea of it, seeing such things would put her into a panicked, frighted state; the blood, the pain, why would anyone ever do that if they could just talk their problems out...talk... if only that was a skill she could master, words, their use was still far from her grasp, try as she might to form the words they just never seemed to come to her.
Tossing and tumbling back on the large pillow she rested upon it was clear that the young girl was having an not so pleasant dream as she bore her teeth in a tight lock with and expression of pain and fear spread across her face; even with the suffrage of major blood loss from the night before her sleep had not been one that anyone would have called peaceful. Countless hours of it had been spent moaning with an occasional sobs of sadness as the night before played over and over in prefect step of the travesty she had witnessed; there had been so much blood and screams as they drilled into her skull begging for the unending torment to cease there onslaught...however the pleas were not answered...not before it was too late that is.... As if laying there back on the field just as if it was happening again she could see the looking of pain cast in the creatures eyes, even though the creature had hurt her all she wanted to do was to help it, nothing should ever had to go through such a pain, not even that creature... why had she not done something? Why had she not run out to the creature and helped it? She could have stopped the man, she could have raised her arms and wailed, if only she could have spoken! Why could she not speak!
Finally her dream state scattered into tiny fragments as Vixi shot straight up from her bedding with her chest raising and falling rapidly with beads of sweat lay across her bare body, not even needed to look she could already feel the thick lines of tears rolling down her cheeks and onto her chest. A sight panic shot through her as she glanced around at where she was at before the all too familiar walls of the tent came through her blurry vision; it was the tent...it was a safe place here.... With a raspy breath Vixi did her best to clam her self down and to rid the bad dreams from her mind, shaking with fright she pulled her tail close to her body too better help the process along. Like a frightend child she clung to the soft fibers that made up the orange tail and sat there quietly (for the most part) aside from the few sobs and sniffles, this would only be the first of many so similar nights so she knew already, and already she was dreading it.
Slowly but surely the fox girl began to return to her normal self, whiping the few remaining tears that had stuck around she began to take stock of the situation as clearly things were not in what she would thought too be normal as a couple of things seemed to be different. The first thing she took notice of what the meer fact that Jenn had not been at her side when she had woken in terror, had it not been for the fact she had risen in shear fright and confusion she would have clung to the woman for help. It was an oddity that puzzled her, it was not very much like Vixi too wake up after Jenn had, though given what had had happened the day before it wasn't beyond the impossible, she had taken quite a blow to the head, not once but twice. Even with the powers that Vixi had she didn't seem to have much control over them even going as far as a simple tree to take down someone who at her strength should be crushing forests instead of being torn to shreds by them.
Glancing around the room didn't do much in the search to find where Jenn had vanished off too, however there were more pillows than she could count ( because she can't) there was a chance that she could be hiding somewhere among the various stacks...though for what purpose was beyond her, though she doubted this idea highly, at first sign that Vixi was suffering in anyway Jenn would have come rushing to her side as she always had. Giving a small sniff to the air Vixi tried to get a better idea of where she might be at, even with her stuffed up nose she could get a picture of the scent marks left behind from anyone that had recently been near by, among them were Vixi's and Jenn's; who seemed to have left the tent not to long ago but for what reason she had no idea. Jenn would leave without much reason sometimes to leave Vixi to play alone, though most of the time she would wonder away and go searching through the city for her father. Hopefully she would not have been gone long....
Still trying to take full inventory of what else was off she finally took notice that she was compeltly nude other than the necklace she worn around her neck and the thick layer of bandages that wrapped their way around her head, appearing as though she had been stripped of all of her clothes, even her unmentionables! Though Vixi was not opposed to the idea of being nude she had to admit that it felt rather odd after having not gone without her clothes for a few weeks, but it was very refreshing to say the least, she had forgotten just how breezy it really was with out all those bolts of cotton stopping her every moment. It was curious as too where her clothes might have gone but knowing that Jenn was the only other person that was their with her it seemed most likely that it was her that would have stripped her nude which she didn't mind, Vixi trusted the woman fully, if it had been someone else she didn't know exactly how she might feel about such a thing. Hopefully Jenn had just taking them to fix them up, it was all she really had left of her father and Vixi would very much to have liked to keep them for as long as possible, even if they were impossible to repair she would still wear them regardless of how bad they looked; a gift from the heart was something she loved the most.
Seeing that some time had passed Vixi began to grow worried since Jenn had been gone for so long, her all to familiar scent was being to disappear through the still open tent, just how long had see been gone for now? Building up a small amount of strength Vixi managed to give out a small howl of sadness, it was her hope that Jenn was nearby and would hear her beckon. It would had been simpler to walk out and find her but Vixi wasn't too sure that was the best idea after what had happened yesterday, staying put and waiting for Jenn seemed to be the better idea of the two.

Jenn smiled as she felt Vixi's energy signature begin to become a bit more lively a pretty solid indicator that the girl was up and beginning to get active and could only hope that the girl would not be TOO confused by her not being there when she awoke, the fact that she appeared to be sticking to the general area of the tent had Jenn feeling fairly confident that she was at the very least not freaking out. She'd been keeping a lock on Vixi's signature since awakening on the off chance the girl awoke and then suddenly decided to go searching for her in the complete wrong direction. Thankfully though this was not the case as Vixi's present state was NOT one that was ideal for being out in the world, her dress had been very badly damaged by there little adventure yesterday and Jenn had spent a bit of time this morning getting it clean and fixed to a decent enough extent that it would be wearable again, were it not for Vixi's attachment to the dress she would have almost certainly gotten rid of it because of the extent of the damage but she rarely showed much interest in wearing anything but it so she had made the effort to fix it up and the results had been reasonable, there was perhaps a chance that simply manifesting a NEW version of the dress would be suitable but knowing Vixi's nose it was almost certain that she would be able to tell the difference. Perhaps in addition to all the rest that jenn had planned for today a talk about Vixi's clothing would be in order, while it was certainly great that she loved the dress as it was likely something given to her by her father the dress would not last very long if it ended up being ALL Vixi wore with her penchant for rather adventurous situations.
Jenn shook her head in mild amusement as she heard a familiar howl coming from the tent, evidently Vixi was now either unwilling to go off on her own without her knowing or was actually aware that going out without anything to wear was perhaps not the best idea. jenn had already been making her way back to the tent and arrived just a few moments after Vixi's howl, Jenn returned to the inside of the tent finding Vixi patiently awaiting her return. "Good morning, how are you feeling?" Jenn asked with a smile as she approached intending to check on Vixi's head, the wound had thankfully not been anywhere near life threatening since it had received treatment, had Vixi been left alone though she was unsure how it would have progressed especially as Vixi seemed unaccustomed to dealing with injury's. "Yesterday was quite the adventure wasn't it?" Jenn aid as she began changing the bandaging on the wound making sure to wrap it in such a way that it would not obstruct Vixi's vision and as well making sure to set it up in such a way that it would be less likely to move around unless directly manipulated. "I think we need to figure out some way for you to let me know when you are going out, I was a bit worried when you were gone for so long" Jenn said carefully not wanting Vixi to think she was mad at her. Mad was perhaps the furthest thing from what she was, truthfully the majority of what Jenn felt was worry, Vixi despite her apparent physical age was quite a lot more like a young child than she had anticipated she frequently displayed a lack of knowledge on things that at such an age should likely already be somewhat common knowledge at least for people with as much power as Vixi was capable of putting out..
Perhaps though Vixi's power was natural? That would certainly explain a few things in regards to how she had ended up in such a state. Of course the Dragon that evidently had been after her was another possibility but the other person had not been particularly relevant power-wise as far as she was concerned which meant the Dragon in question was likely similarly 'weak' Vixi also displayed no outward harm from a physical conflict which meant she had either avoided any attacks thrown her way OR had ended up being targeted. The vast majority of her injury's had been inflicted by her travel through the forest, scratches from tree branches mostly, usually people with that much innate power just ended up being all but completely resistant to such things from mostly passive use of energy but perhaps Vixi lacked the knowledge to actually DO that. Much as Jenn hated to use the phrase Vixi most certainly lacked the 'look of a fighter' but more than that she lacked the attitude of someone who was experienced with such things, she was more or less just an innocent little girl with a rather ludicrous amount of power.

Vixi's cry rang out through the tent, bouncing off the canvas walls and scattered piles of pillows until it had filled the room and fled outside into the open world, though not one of her most powerful howls she was sure it was more than enough to get Jenns attention if she was nearby, there was always the chance that she would not and that would require her to crank up the volume which the tent might not have faired through well. Fortunately it appeared that it would not have to be necessary as the sweet wafting scent of Jenn slipped through the opening in the tent, it seemed as though she had gotten the call and was heading back to greet the still sleepy eyed girl.
With a sigh of relief Vixi relaxed her shoulders which at up to this point had been stiff with worry and confusion, such an odd sight on the girl who usually did not have a care in the world. Flopping her tail down behind her it swatted gently back and forth as Jenn came into the room wearing her usual outfit but it always seemed so nice on her, Vixi wondered if she would ever let her try it on, or at least give her something to wear as for at the moment she was still stark naked. The idea of wearing Jenn's clothes made her giggle slightly at the image in her head but as much as she liked her outfit she would much prefer to have the clothes that her father gave her back. Torn or not they were still a gift she had received from him and was going to keep them as long as she could manage, she knew she was a tad clumsy when it came too...well pretty much most things. She made a mental notice that she should be more careful when it came to playing and roaming the city, otherwise her beloved clothes might not make it through the journey.
It was clear that the young girl was happy to see the woman as her toothy grin appeared on her face along with her rosy colored cheeks. She was glad she hadn't gone off on one her adventures too god knows where, it might have been awhile longer of her waiting if that had been the case, and as much as Vixi loved to go explore while she was off, the feeling just wasn't with her today. Having gone through so much the day before she really didn't want to leave Jenn's side or better yet the tent, it was a safe haven for the girl, really it was her first and only home she had.
Asking how she was feeling Vixi pondered the idea for a couple of seconds, how was she really feeling? Vixi hadn't really thought about it too much, the bad dreams really hadn't let her have a peaceful sleep and along with the cut on her head she a slight headache. Glancing at Jenn Vixi just shrugged her shoulders then proceeded to point at her head with a painful expression on her face and then rubbed her eyes faking a yawn, it wasn't the best way to communicate how she was feeling but she knew Jenn would get the point, just as beautiful as she was smart, at least that's how Vixi saw it.
Pulling at the bandaged that wound round Vixi head she sat perfectly still to let her do whatever it was that she was planning, as curious as she was it was really impossible for her to view what Jenn was doing without the aid of something reflective. As Jenn would unwrap the wound she would notice that it had almost entirely closed up by itself, not even so much as a line to tell just where the skin had been opened. Though a dull pain shot out from the injured area it was mostly what was left of the original injury, not even twenty four hours after the wound had opened it was now almost healed.
Mentioning that Jenn had been worried about the girl Vixi dropped her ears at thought, she hadn't really though that her would have minded that much whenever she went on her journeys but it was becoming clear that she did. It wasn't her intended purpose to worry the woman she just grew very bored on the long periods of time when she was left alone. This in turn made Vixi feel bad for making Jenn worry, she knew very well how it felt to wonder were someone was at...for days...and days. Leaning to the side she pressed her head against Jenn's chest as she gave a saddened sigh as a form of apology, she hoped it would be more than enough for Jenn to see that she was sorry for her actions.

Jenn raised an eywebrow as she tended to Vixi's 'wound' or rather the distinct lack thereof, evidently some advanced form of natural healing was yet another oddity that Vixi possessed, thankfully this was one that was a significant benefit tot he girl regardless of his disposition, though of course it appeared that larger wounds would still require treatment a nights rest was enough to clear up a rather sizable wound, Jenn had to wonder exactly how far that ability could go though it was likely for the best that considering how Vixi acted it was unlikely they would ever find out. Jenn was not particularly eager to see if after a few days Vixi could reform a limb or close large wounds. She shivered at the very thought, she could handle injury inflicted on herself it had been a common enough occurrence and something shed more or else actively pursued by going into a fight. But for someone Vixi, or Vitam. She wanted them to never have to experience something so terrible.
Thankfully that would not be the case, Jenn would do everything in her power to prevent such from occurring, the bright smile Vixi gave upon her return was all Jenn needed to see to know that, and today they would hopefully be on the way to making sure Vixi had at least some idea on how to keep herself safe for the times when Jenn was not immediately around such as when Vixi went off in search of fun and adventure. It was amusing to watch Vixi respond to her questions, doing her best to give visual indicators on her state and managing to get her point across well enough, her head hurt, and she was still a bit tired but otherwise fine. "Well your head's looking good so we wont have to wrap it nearly as tightly, just do not play with the bandaging alright? I'm not sure how but your cut looks all cleared up but for safety we'll leave the bandage on until you get up tomorrow. If you're up before me you can take it off yourself if you want." Jenn said giving Vixi a smile, while the wound was no longer visible Jenn had no real way of knowing exactly how well Vixis apparent regenerative abilities were, despite lack of visible wound there was a chance that strenuous activity could open up the wound again so for now it was better safe than sorry.
Jenn wrapped her arms around Vixi in a comforting manner letting a hand run through her hair "It's alright, I'm not mad. We just need to figure something out until you've got a good enough grasp on writing. We'll figure something out." Jenn said giving vixi a smile "But yesterday did show me something that has me a bit.. nervous. Vixi have you ever had to fight someone or something? Like to protect yourself?" Jenn asked hoping the question would be understandable to Vixi. "From what I saw you are a lot more powerful than you were a few days ago, I'm worried that you might not know how to control that power if nobody has taught you how." Jenn was already prepared to give Vixi a basic explanation on what exactly 'power' meant if as Jenn assumed, she did not know. "Power is the stuff that fuels things like my magic, the more you have the more more you can do with it. "

Vixi waited patiently as Jenn looked over the wound on her forehead, not wanting to move an inch less for some reason or another she would find her self in more pain than just a dull ache at the moment. It was such an odd feeling "pain" she had tripped and fell before but what she had felt last night was like nothing she had ever felt before, thankfully it had only been what it was, she couldn't imagine feeling anything worse. Oh how little the girl knew about such things...thankfully for her parts of her past had never been recorded in her head otherwise she might truly understand what true pain was. Flickering her ears at the small sounds Jenn made she wondered just how much longer the whole process was going to go on for, she was ready to pounce out of the bed and start another day. The dull light beams of sun light had already leaked through the open flap in the tent and she knew that it day was just staring which meant another day of searching the city for her father and tons of fun. It was her hopes that Jenn would go with her this time...encase something like the day before were to happen again. The ever faint memory of the prior night clung to back of her mind as the whole time she was doing her best to build a wall to keep it in, but the leaks in the barrier made a shiver run down her spine.
Vixi was happy to her that her "wound" whatever that was, was looking fine but for her not to go out and play, such an idea made Vixi frown with dispute, if she could not play anymore with the bandages on her head what would she do all day? Did that mean she could not go outside? The girl was disappointed but wasn't about to go against what Jenn had said, at this point she was all Vixi really had and she really didn't want to make her upset, she had already worried her the night before and who knew how many other times when she snuck out.
With her head pressed into Jenn's chest at her disappointment herself she felt the woman's fingers slide gently through her hair causing her to give off a small animal like purr, it was purely uncontrolled by her own will a more subconscious action than one she made on her own. Her mood was lifted at Jenn's words as her tail whipped back and forth on the stack of pillows behind her, it was a major relief to know that she had not been mad at her but she still felt bad she left so many times without her knowing, if only she could talk...or even if she could fully write, then she could leave notes for her. As of late though Vixi had only just learned the alphabet and how to write her own name, nothing of which that would have really helped in this situation, maybe it was time for her to learn more than just the basics?
She nodded at Jenn's idea but she really couldn't think of anything that could help either of them as of yet, but she was sure than given time Jenn could think of something, she was smart, much smarter than Vixi ever would be, at least that's how the girl saw it through her child like mind. With a reassured nodded of her head she told the woman that she understood what had been told to her, it wasn't a difficult concept for her to wrap her mind around as were most other things, learning and understanding came easy to her though it usually required that someone teach it too her first. Her father had taught her many times during their short time together, mostly just the names of things, like the trees and the grass, small stuff but she cherished knowing what he had taught her.
Vixi's ears perked up at Jenns question, had she ever fought anyone? What? Of course not, she hated fighting, it was so messy and violent. She couldn't ever think of a reason she would ever need to fight someone, she had never done anything to harm anyone, why would anyone try and hurt her? Though the flash back to the dragon raised questions of whether the creature was really trying to hurt her or just playing, having not been there to hear Jenn's conversation with the dragon or even understand to began with she had no idea that the thing had been sent to harm her. She had never even tried to protect herself from anyone, sure she tripped a lot and hit the ground but the dirt wasn't a threat to her...was it? Nodded her head no at the question she pulled back away from the embrace as the small cogs in her mind began to twirl as she tried to make sense to where her questions where going.
Mentioning about how strong she was Vixi gave a small giggle of laughter. Her? Powerful? Well that simply wasn't possible. She could barely pick up a heavy rock better yet toss it a few feet, surely she was mistaken...but then again it was Jenn and her word had great merit with the young girl, maybe there was some validity to what she was saying. Maybe she was right.... Unknown to the girl she had many tricks she had not yet known of that she could do. The only power of hers that she had ever fully used was her shields but even then she often found that they were hard to make appear under her own will power, half the time they would just fizzle as the formed and she never understood why that was.
Vixi nodded her head at Jenn's words as she explained what "power" was but she had some small grasp on the idea, she had only managed to unlock a small portion of her own skills and even as it stood she could barley used one of them. It appeared that it only ever worked when she was in some sort of distress like when she was hungry or afraid, though it had never been for any violent means, just ways to get something she wanted, like the sandwich Brandon had left sitting out the opening. Being that it was too far away and she didn't yet (or now) trust the man she had used her shield to pull it towards her rather than go out into the opening.
Vixi wanted to show Jenn what little she knew of the idea already, encase she was really interested plus she might be blown away just like Vixi was when ever Jenn did her magic, it would be funny to see her react towards it. Sitting up from the giant pillow she had been resting on she stretched her arms out away from her body as she took a deep breath to focus on the task at hand. Never having anyone to teach her exactly what it was that she had to do to raise a shield the conjuration was still hard for her to do, but with enough force behind it she was sure that she would be able to make something that could work.
A blue shimmer of light would appear as though it was coming out from her own skin as it slowly formed into a almost clear rectangle formed front of her, eyes closed at this point Vixi was focusing solely on the idea of making the object than anything else.

It was so very pleasent to actually get to be around someone who was as genuinely innocent as Vixi was, someone who considered the very concept of being violent or harming the world and/or those around them in any means to be such an utterly foreign concept that it actually gave them pause to have someone question them on if they ever needed to resort to such things. Even Vitam had not been in such a state when she had met him, granted his life was not exactly one that fostered innocence, the Earth had been a dangerous place then and he had been alone in it for a while before she had picked him up. Perhaps the only person she knew of that seemed to compare to Vixi in terms of innocence outside of those far too young to even understand the world was Seikatsu, his innocence had been quite different than Vixi's brand but similar nonetheless. The man had genuinely meant no harm to anyone and sought any and all means to guide the world towards peace without conflict. Never once had he raised a hand against an enemy as far as she had seen and rarely had he even raised his voice in anger.
It was comforting to see such a thing was still a possibility, what was less comforting was how Vixi seemed utterly unaware of her power even going so far as to laugh at the assertion that she did in fact have a significant amount of power. It was a bothersome notion because it was dagnerious, if she was unaware of her power then it meant she likely had little if any knowledge on how to control it and the greater your power the more necessary it was to have control over it, to lose control could mean accidentally harming yourself or others if you tried to do anything with said power. Perhaps Vixi had avoided this only by having so little interaction with her own power? Or if she had some outlet for using her power it was such an outlet that it put a solid focus on the power and made using it less dangerous, certain techniques safe like that and were good tools for learning to control your own strength.
Jenn watched in interest as Vixi started to do... something? She appeared to be preparing for some form of use of her power considering the context of the situation and the fact that her energy levels had begun to fluctuate, as Vixi's power began to surge her skin began to emit a strange blue light that slowly began to form a semi-transparent blue rectangle before her. Jenn stared at the construct quite impressed with it, Vixi's eyes were closed and she was clearly focusing quite hard on the matter at hand to which Jenn kept silent, she knew enough about these sorts of techniques to know that for someone inexperianced focus was very important. Jenn inspected Vixi's work in silence however marveling at it as she felt a familair sensation from the energy and it made her QUITE happy. Vixi's power was evidently based on mystical energy much like her own and on top of that she appeared to have a technique that touched on a number of the elements involved in manifestation.
Jenn felt a strange sort of pride watching Vixi quite literally 'work her magic' she'd KNOWN the girl was bright but this was something else entirely. How could she not know she had power if she was capable of something like this? Once Vixi was done Jenn knew what she would do, she'd explain a bit about magic, tell her about how they would need to help her get her power fully under control, and then offer to teach her manifestation. Between this technique and manifestation it would not take Vixi long to get a grasp on controlling her own energy and from there Jenn would introduce the idea of self defense, the technique Vixi appeared to be using seemed somewhat in line with a shielding spell of some kind, she would likely be utterly adverse to actual combat but Jenn would make it clear that the training was to make sure she WOULDNT have to fight, that she could keep herself safe while fleeing battle or waiting for Jenn to arrive.

Eyes closed Vixi's focus was divided between two current tasks that lay before her, first she needed to keep her breathing under control otherwise her shield would falter and dissipated before ever having a chance to completely form. Secondly she needed to actually focus on the building of the barrier otherwise what was the point of even trying in the first place? Though she had managed to summon the blue shield before it wasn't an task that was easy for her to achieve even with her full focus being on the completion of it, the times before she had more than enough fear and adrenaline running through her system to allow such a skill to be activated but fear should not be her driving force behind her magical skills. No, Vixi was too innocent towards the eyes of the world, she had gone through much and it hadn't been for the kindness displayed by Jenn the outcome of her life would have been a much different one that it was today. The sweet and gentle girl might not have been the same as she was now....
Finding that her breathing was about at the right level for the shield she was trying to cast Vixi began to fully picture the rectangular object floating in front of her body, though it was magical and had the ability to withstand the pull of gravity it could only be summoned at arms length from her body, as soon as it lost contact with her skin it would have imminently vanished from sight in a puff of smoke, similar too that of Jenn's but pure white. Even breathing mixed with the imagine she had generated inside of her, small waves of blue would began to expel from her palms and finger tips, the thin tendrils of pure mana would pull away from her body as they began to meld together as if an invisible wall was resting in front of her. Coalescing on the spot in front of her it became clear that the shield had manifested in its full might, looking no more than a semi-transparent wall in front of her, it was much stronger than first glance would suggest it would be. Once the shield had been fully formed Vixi would slowly squint her eyes open as she peaked out from behind strands of fallen hair; quickly her face would explode with joy at the sight of what she had managed. It had proving just as hard as she thought it was going to be but she was excited to see that she could manage such a feat on her own.
Once Vixi had manifested the barrier it was possible to keep it sustained for as long as part of her body was still in contact with it and if her mana was sufficient enough to withstand any incoming attacks. Even it its current state the shield was vastly stronger than anything she would be able to take, the girl was fragile to began which didn't help to compare the two of their defensive capabilities but whereas if the shield took a massive hit it would mostly likely still stand as were Vixi would not. Companion to its master at the beckon call it would join her side...though it took considered able amount of time for it to be conjured so as it stood it wasn't a very ideal defense if she ever found her self about to be jumped by another person.
With a wide grin appearing on her face she turned from her handy work to look over at Jenn, she hopped Jenn would be at least some what impressed at what she had done. It wasn't nearly as exciting as some of the stuff she had seen Jenn herself do but none the less she was proud of it, her hard work had paid off in the production of the barrier. Nudging her head to the side she would motion towards the shield she had produced as if asking Jenn what she thought about it, awaiting her reaction with her flushed rosy red cheeks.

Jenn watched with fascination as Vixi did her work, it had been so very long since she had been able to watch another person use mystical energy and the last time she had had such an opportunity she had been far more preoccupied by protecting the Earth than she had been with enjoying the visual aspect of someone trying there hardest to get a mystical technique to work, the closest experience she had had with such lately had been her... encounter... with the rogue construct and her battle with Erebos, the magics displayed by them however had been to an extent fully realized, the construct had been imparted with significant ability to use the magics she had granted it while also having seemingly limited access to the power of the ring as well, Erebos has been a nearly fully realized mystic with Jiga at his command but his magics had been very subtle and her attitude ahd not leant to enjoying the sight of magic at work when they had fought.
But Vixi was of an entirely different sort, she was clearly no master of mystical arts and the effort put into this single technique displayed that while she clearly had a strong grasp of how the concepts worked that she still had a far way to go before she reached even the construct's level of mastery. But there was a spark there, Jenn could feel how hard the girl was working to get the spell right and maybe it was just because she was trying to impress her but if that was the goal then she had MORE than succeeded. When the shield took its full form Jenn smiled as Vixi slowly opened her eyes and peered through the veil of hair that had made its way in front of her eyes to take a look at her handiwork. "And you gave me a funny look when I said you had power?" Jenn said with a smirk as she stepped closer to take a better look at the shield, it was a very impressive piece of work for someone so new to mystical power, usually mystics preferred a focus of some sort when doing something like this, to lessen the mental burden that came with summoning up an object.
Jenn herself used actual shields as a focus, she took the shields form and enhanced it far beyond what mere wood or steel could accomplish, a shield such as what Vixi had manifested would accomplish the same goals but lacked the prerequisite of having a physical shield at hand merely needing to summon forth the energy. Jenns knew she could personally summon up an enhanced shield fairly easily but if brought to a similar level to herself Vixi would likely have hers ready a few moments before Jenn. Without knowing the full extent of Vixi's technique she could ponder little more on how the two techniques compared. Of course speed was a very major issue but one that would likely be solved with training, Vixi clearly had little active control of her power likely because she'd had so little use for seeking out such and nobody to teach her. Once training began they would see how it effected Vixi's ability to summon forth shields.
"I never expected you to be capable of a full on technique such as this, for someone with no training you did something truly amazing Vixi" Jenn said giving the girl a wide grin "Where did you learn to do this? Or was it just something you came up with on your own?" Jenn questioned, shield techniques were generally born of need rather than 'just because' young mystics were taught shield techniques in order to sure up there defensive abilities, many in her time were not particularly physically fit, forgoing physical prowess for a wider berth of abilities and a greater intellect, then of course there were those like herself who created shielding techniques in the heat of battle when pressed up against a corner and in need of some means of defending themselves. Neither of these traditional concepts fit Vixi however, she clearly had not received any practical tutoring in mystical arts as she lacked the basics that would have given her a greater control over her power, and she had by her own admittance claimed to never have seen a fight. Which raised the question 'where she she learn it?' to facilitate the answer Jenn manifested some paper and a variety of art tools for Vixi to use if necessary.

The grin that was on Jenn's face told Vixi everything that she needed to know about how well she had done, the woman was happy at least that's what her grin had told her, and in fact so was Vixi; it took a lot of focus from her and truth be told she often had issues paying attention to one thing at a time. Her mind often liked to wonder about the world from what ever task she was trying to complete, it was such a wide open place for so many new things for her to experience; one second she could be watching a butterfly and next she would be hand walking across a brick wall. Even now she glanced around the room her attention waning away from the shield that floated at her hands reach, the small details of the canvas tent that her well toned eyes could pick up on that others could not. It wasn't until Jenn words met her ears did she turn her attention back to her and the barrier, the sleek blue aura that it held shimmering in what seemed to be light that its self generated. She always wondered just how it was that such things could appear from nothing but something blue that came from her body, what was it and did it live inside of her? She was sure Jenn knew but how could she go about asking such a question?
Vixi nodded her head with a grin held on her face at Jenn's words, she had never really though of her shields as anything more as extension of herself, just another piece of a bigger picture nothing to call special but at the same time she had never seen anyone else conjure such a thing...that was until she had met Jenn. The woman was full of neat tricks and never seemed to run out of new things to show her, some of the feats were simple and others such as the tent they now stood in were much larger, none the less they still sparkled awe and mysticism inside the girls heart. Vixi didn't put it past Jenn to have such a skill that she had, shields after all were the first thing she had never learned how to do, thought it was on complete accident that it had revealed its self to her, surely if Jenn was as strong as she thought then she would know exactly how to do the trick she just preformed.
As Jenn pulled closer to examine the blue shimmer of air resting in front of her Vixi did her best to steady the screen, even though it held its own as it floated, it based its height off of where her hands were located at, any small movement she had with her arms the shield was sure too follow her dominant hand unless instructed not too. Holding it out didn't bother her much as even as scrawny as the girl was she had a fine under tone of muscle beneath her pale skin, it was amazing that such a tiny sweet looking girl could rip a person in half if the act ever came into play. She was a reservoir of untapped energy both physical and mystical though she knew nothing of it herself, picking playing over fighting any day of the year. Though even as Jenn looked the barrier over Vixi could feel the energy drain from her body, this was the longest time she had ever held the defensive spell up for, any time before hand had just been for a second or two, just long enough for her to get away from whatever was chasing her.
As much as she would have liked to hold the spell on for a little longer she didn't want to faint right then and there on the pillow just as soon as she had woken up, there was still a long day ahead of her and she didn't want to waste it sleeping. Evaporating the shield before their eyes in a puff of white smoke Vixi dropped her hands back down to her side as she fell onto the plush pillow below her with a sigh. She was pleased at the fact she had been able to generate the shield without the need of something to scare her into it, but scolded herself that she had only held it for a minute. She made a mental note to keep trying at it until she got it right, it wasn't for the fact that she wanted to protect herself it was that her father had taught it too her and she wanted to show just how much work she had done with it since they last saw each other.
Twitching her ears at Jenns words she looked back up at her, the toothy bright smile showing up on her face once more as her bushy tailed waggled back on the pillow, it was nice to hear the compliment from her, she was sure it was something that her father might say which made her heart swell up. Asking her where she had learned it from Vixi was about to open her mouth to tell Jenn but the stirking fact of her lack of speaking hit her once again and it was funny....With how much time she had spent around people that could talk she had almost forgotten that she herself couldn't. Usually this would have made her upset but she was learning how to deal with sadness better, it was a long process but it appeared to be working as she laughed at the idea. Shaking her head back and forth she looked towards Jenns direction as she had summoned a stack of paper and many different pencil looking objects but from the looks of them she had never seen anything like them before. Coming in so many different shapes, colors and sizes she wasn't really sure were to begin with.
Shrugging at the idea she took the tools and spread then out across the pillow and looked them over trying to get a good idea of why they might look like once she started to draw with them. Picking a green pencil she began to scribble on the page quickly as she leaned over it, obviously really getting into her drawings. Making the out lines of the trees in the back ground she began to switch between green, yellow and red as the trees soon began to fill with life, as always the girl loved to put all the details into the picture as she could even the small specks of color that others might have over looked even being there themselves.
Finishing with the trees that lay in the back ground of the imagine she worked her way into drawing herself in the picture starting off with the thin black out line of her person; tracing her body frame onto the picture she put great detail into the small strands that made up her hair and tail. Arms stretched out in front of her in the picture it was clear as she started to make little blue wisps drawn in front of her hands that she was making a shield, even the look on her drawn face was similar to that Jenn had seen before. Quickly snapping her hand over to the side of the picture she outlined a man who quickly became her father as he was standing in the same stance as her, hands held out in front of his body, though no blue wisps came from his hands.
Filling in their bodies with color she spent quite a great deal of time trying to make her hair the right color but found that the tools she had with her would not be sufficient to do the job so she left a bright orange as close as she could possible get to her own. It left her feeling a tad off with how it wasn't one hundred percent complete but it would have to do, already she had spent around twenty minutes on the thing and she didn't want to make Jenn wait around all day for her. A few colors and plants were missing from the imagine that she based off the one in her head but it would have to do the way it was, hopefully it would have been clear enough to Jenn for her to understand what she was trying to say, otherwise she was out of options.

Jenn smiled at Vixi's reaction to her encouraging words, it was always quite enjoyable to see how excited she got over even the littlest of things, any amouny of enoragement or praise was more than enough to bring the fox-like girl seemingly no end of joy. Either that or preforming some sort of new mystical feat that she had not yet seen already. Not surprisingly it did not take long before Vixi allowed her shield to fall apart on its own breaking her physical contact with the energy shield and confirming for Jenn a few beliefs she had about how the technique worked. From how Vixi 'held' the technique it had been clear it required a constant flow of energy between it and Vixi and likely an amount of actual physical contact. Perhaps with time they could expand Vixi's range with the shield allowing it to be moved around at her will, already Jenns mind was abuzz with ways that the technique could be modified or improved to better aid Vixi.
But that would have to wait, first Vixi needed the basics and Jenn needed to know the source of Vixi's knowledge of the technique, Vixi was already hard at work on her 'response' having taken hold of everything Jenn had manifested and begun work on yet another little masterpiece. It was astonishing to watch the girl who had such a command of art that surpassed even Jenns many years of work in that regard, it was a clear display of just pure natural talent for a subject, her own skills in artistic endeavors were nothing to scoff at as far as she was concerned but they were that of someone with a passive interest in the subject who happened to have an exorbitant amount of time to practice, Vixi was a natural however and one with a passion for her work it was the girls passion for drawing that made Jenn feel no negativity towards the girls superior skill, almost certainly if given the amount of time she had spent on art Vixi would become perhaps the single greatest artist the world could ever know. Her pictures were like snippets of memory placed on paper and even in an unfinished state they were impressive to view.
But of course such art took time and such time allowed Jenns mind to wander back to the technique Vixi had displayed. It was very similar to many basic shielding spells from long ago, drawing upon the users energy to create a powerful defensive tool. It meant the shield was as strong as Vixi's own personal reservoir of energy and if memory served if she focused on the skill it could be expanded in an almost innumerable amount of ways. Her personal shielding technique was a bit more limited in that way as she preferred work with focus objects admittedly perhaps a bit of her genie nature shining through. But of course that did not mean that her own technique was incapable of being expanded upon, it simply was not as overt and would take a greater mental investment to expand what it was capable of.
Jenn peered down at Vixi as she worked and found the picture had taken enough form to give her an idea of what was going on, the picture depicted Vixi in a similar setting to the first picture a place that appeared to be some sort of park and alongside her was a man who as the seconds passed began to gain more definition and as he became more defined Jenn realized who the man must be. Her father. The picture depicted the man seemingly demonstrating to Vixi how to preform the shielding technique but of curious note as Vixi began to add more detail adding the telltale visual signs of Vixi preforming the shield technique the man received no such details instead simply becoming more defined as per normal. The picture was depicting the man teaching Vixi how to preform a technique he himself had no means of preforming and on top of that without any visible signs of having a book or anything that would allow him the knowledge of the technique.
It was... perplexing to say the least, he clearly had a firm mental grasp of the technique to be able to impart it upon Vixi, but despite knowing it he lacked the ability to use it himself, likely he had no actual mystical energy to call upon or simply too little to be of note. But that raised far more questions than it answered, it meant that Vixi's father had sought to tutor her in the ways of using mystical power despite possessing them himself and yet he had not taught her how to properly command her power as a whole first, he'd taught her an entire technique before teaching her the basic concepts. HOW Vixi had even actually learned the technique without having a true knowledge of mystical power and how to use it was baffling to the mind. "Your father taught you?" Jenn asked, clearly she understood that that was what Vixi was trying to portray but she wanted a nod of confirmation.
"Did he teach you anything else then? It is not common for those learning such techniques to learn how to produce something like that before they learn more basic things, like what I mentioned earlier about you gaining more significant control over your full strength. Usually that is taught first and yet it appears your father had a different method..." Jenn said trailing off into thought, it seemed odd to her that the man would consider it of higher importance that Vixi learn a shield technique over basic control concepts... or how to TALK. That was another strange point in the whole situation with Vixi, it was clear that the girl understood spoken word, quite well more often than not. And on top of that she was clearly very capable of learning written word as they had progressed well enough that Jenn had learned her name. And yet the man had not taught her how? He he perhaps been blind? Vixis drawing gave no visual indicator of the man being visually impaired, no blindfold or walking stick ever accompanied the mans depictions.
The more she thought about it the more odd it seemed how much Vixi seemed to 'lack' despite her fathers presence in her life, the girl had the appearance of a teenager, the exact age was one Jenn could not place any longer. Initially she had assumed later teens but the more Jenn got to know Vixi the younger she found herself assuming the girl to be. Occasional Jenn wrote off little inconsistencies about Vixi's behavior by simply assuming it to be how more modern people were... but the human boy they had encountered was likely not TOO much older than Vixi and while his manner of dress was odd his personality had been drab enough to make him remarkably easy to not remember, a marked difffence from Vixi who would likely have to try exceptionally hard to NOT leave a lasting impression on someone. "Vixi if you know, how long were you with your father before he had to leave? Can you draw the number of full moons that passed?" Jenn asked using the best measurement of time she could come up with that could easily be drawn if Vixi could she would offer the girl more paper with which to draw the amount.

Vixis green eyes moved slowly over the picture as she took in all that she had drawn, it was amazing just how close it looked to the real thing, almost as though she might have been able to fall right into the picture and be back at the park, back with her father... Oh what she wouldn't give to have him back once again, if only she could jump into the picture herself then she could be happy forever. With a heavy sigh she brushed the tip of her finger against the colored paper right along the bearded jaw line of her father, even now she could remember clearly just how it felt to run her finger tips into his shaggy face. Coming back from her memorizes she shuddered sadly seeing that it was just a picture and not the real thing; careful as too not let Jenn see it was up setting her she pushed the drawing away from her legs and toward Jenn encase she wanted to get a better look at it. She often loved her picture but at the same time they were symbols off things that no longer were, just memories and not actual places she could venture too any longer, at least not when she was awake.
At the raise of the new question Vixi nodded her head up and down as the the long orange strands of hair whipped back and forth across her face. He had taught her many things and among those was her shields, though she had never actually seen him make them before but he seemed to have known a lot about it. At that time in her life her understanding of the spoken language was not much better than a toddlers, able to follow a few commands and know a few words but that was about it. He had said so much more than she could understand at the time and whenever she tired to remember back to those time everything he spoke too her just seemed like a jumbled mess of nonsense. Try as long as she might though Vixi had no luck as of yet trying to make heads or tails of what he might have been saying but that didn't mean she ever would give up. As long as she had been searching for him as of yet she had a strange feeling in the back of her head that it might be awhile longer, so she would have plenty of time to try and understand.
Vixi had to think about Jenn's next question carefully...whereas her father had said a lot more too her only a little bit actually stuck with her, shameful she thought but she had done the best she could at the time, looking back she was pretty silly and goofy back then, even more so than she was now. Not even able to understand people and barely able to walk, and look at her now, hand standing, running and able to listen to full conversations and give feed back! The young fox girl had come a long way in such a short amount of time. Confused at what to tell her Vixi just shrugged her shoulder and held her hand out flat and tilted it side to side in a means of saying kind of, though there was an deeper explanation behind it she found that was probably going to be the best way for her to get her point across.
Seeing that Jenn seemed too be getting lost in her own thoughts Vixi turned her attention back on herself, for as long as she had been sleeping her muscles had grown stiff, if she was going to be running about to day she would need to stretch them out before hand, less she wanted cramps to run their way through her body. Planting her hands on the ground she leaned forward and pushed out as her legs rose high into the air above her, already she could feel the blood starting to rush around her body. Making sure she had a good handle on her balance she began to walk around on her hands around the perimeter of the room, her nails making a howl taps on the wood. She loved to walk to her hands it made her look around the world in a different way, seeing everything on the ground much closer up than it had always been. Even now she could make out the small ripples in the woods design that had been hard to see if she was standing on her feet.
Hearing Jenn call out to her Vixi spun around and trotted back other to the woman, her tail bouncing back and forth wildly began her. Coming to a stop on her hands she leaned her legs forward and rolled back onto the pillow coming to a stop on her bottom before Jenn with a cheeky smile appearing. Thinking about the number of moons that had passed Vixi placed her finger on her chin and she tired to think back oh how long had they been together for. Rocking back and forth it didn't take very long for her to come up with an answer, though she hadn't been taught numbers yet she had come to the realization that she could 'count' by using her fingers. Mouthing with her lips she looked down at her fingers and slowly closed them one at a time until only two of them remained, looking at them sadly as thought that they had spent so much longer together than just two finger. Dropping her ears at the thought she held her fingers up to show Jenn them better, just two moons.
Vixi was slightly confused at all the questions Jenn was asking her, she didn't mind answering them, it was just a little bit odd, she sure seemed interested in her father. But really who wouldn't be? UNITY seemed to want him, so much they had sent lot of people after him, he had told Vixi they were just playing a really long game of tag so if she ever saw anyone with a UNITY tag too make sure she would run away then hide. It seemed like a rather odd game but Vixi laughed at the idea, games where the best and her father always made up the best ones.
On top of UNITY wanting him, Vixi also longed for his return and now Jenn? Her father seemed to be growing into a pretty popular guy now, soon enough everyone and their mother be going after him! The silly thoughts passed through her head as she glanced at Jenn from behind the the bangs that hung in front of her face, trying to get a better grasp on what she was thinking about as she asked all those questions.

As Jenn's mind was suddenly lit ablaze with questions and theorys on how exactly Vixi might be capable of what she was capable of while being incapable of far more basic concepts(or at least more basic to her) she still found it easy enough to remain outwardly calm and even smile as she caught sight of Vixi flipping herself up onto her hands as she began to use them to manuver through the tent, while to anyone else such a sight would be more than a little odd the only thought that really registered for Jenn was that she now realized she had neglected to provide Vixi with a temporary set of clothing, as it stood her normal set was drying outside in the sunlight as while Jenn was capable of a number of mystical feats the cleaning of clothing was nto among them, generally she just replaced whatever it was that became too damage to wear any longer. There were only a few articles of clothing that she truly 'owned' and they were all presently stored in the Lookout along with her real jewelry, all items accumulated either during her years in the lamp or given as gifts from her 'family'. The only item not stored within the Lookout was of course her ring which at present was still unfortunately in Kemuri's possession.
What she had now were articles of clothing conjured through manifestation and while she enjoyed the look of the items it was FAR easier to simply dismiss or abandon the item and create a new one, her talents with the technique meant that she could conjure items that had the look and feel of some of the finest clothing she had ever encountered and all she needed to create them was a thought and a bit of energy. Vixi however favored her old clothing so she had taken the time to give them a proper cleaning. Certainly before they went out to train she'd have to get Vixi into something on the off chance any of the others happened to stumble upon them, it would certainly take QUITE the explanation to get that situation straight as Jenn was reasonably certain that even in this era being out alone in the woods with a young nude fox-girl was perhaps a bit on the odd side.
Vixi took a few moments to gather her wits and come to a conclusion on how long she had spent with her father and the result raised about as many questions as it answered, Vixi had spent an extremely minimal amount of time with her father which to some extent explained why she knew so little in terms of controlling her power. The man would have only had so much time to work with and while he may have touched on some concepts he'd chosen to focus on giving Vixi a means of protecting herself. It likely had something to do with why he had left her alone. Her being alone was another question that needed answering but that Jenn felt was perhaps not a question to be asked now or perhaps even directly to Vixi. Vixi had as far as Jenn could tell not had a mother, her picture had depicted no indication of one being present in her life and if her father had been so important after only two moons then certainly if a mother had been a factor she would have been depicted in some manner. That meant that before her father took her in Vixi had been alone? Perhaps she had been in some manner of orphanage? A poor quality orphanage upbringing could theoretically explain why Vixi lacked literacy though lack of speech was far less likely but not entirely impossible.
"Vixi you and your father are quite the puzzle, I hope one day either we find him or he finds us both for your sake and for my own ability to ask him some questions I'm not certain you even have the answers for. If you ever remember anything more on where he might have been going try to draw it, the more I know the more likely we will be to find him" She said giving Vixi a smile and hoping that it might serve as an encouraging factor for the girl. "But for now I think thats enough questions about your father, I believe I've gathered up enough knowledge from what you've shown me to understand where you stand so now I need to explain why I've been asking you all these questions." Jenn said quickly becoming a bit more serious to show Vixi that this was important "I wanted to get an idea on why you ended up in the condition you were when I came to get you, you had quite a number of cuts and bruises and while they have healed now I realized that your adventures might put you in a bit of danger every now and then such as with that man or the Dragon. You've got the power necessary to one day be capable of fending those sort of people off, but I'm pretty sure you've got no real interest in fighting, your a wonderfully peaceful girl." Jenn said reaching out and ruffling Vixi's hair with a grin "So I think it would be best if instead of teaching you how to fight as you will neither enjoy it nor find use for it. I would instead like to teach you how to better protect yourself and how to control your energy. With a bit of work I imagine you could be capable of summoning and controlling your shield just as easily as I manifest objects" Jenn said punctuating her statement by manifesting an apple
"Much as a wish it were not the case the world has dangerous things and people in it and while I will always try to be there to protect you if necessary if you learn how to defend yourself it will keep you from being hurt while I make my way there or while you escape. Defense can be done in a manner that simply keeps you from receiving harm rather that outright fighting back against your opponent. Control over your power will also most likely make you a bit more capable of avoiding harm, your energy should actively protect you to an extent and will allow you to learn and create new techniques, I could even teach you some of my own once you learn to command your own power." Now it was up to Vixi to decide how much she was willing to learn from Jenn, she hoped very dearly that Vixi would give it a chance, she'd done her best to explain it in a manner that would keep in line with Vixi's rather peaceful nature, perhaps one day Vixi would need to actively fight back against an enemy but for the time being Jenn merely wanted to give her the tools necessary to delay such an event.

Sitting there stark naked on the king sized pillow Vixi watched Jenn with great intent after she had called her over, she could tell alone from the look on her face that she was indeed in a deep thought though what she might be thinking of was beyond the scope that her still devolving mind could think of. She had asked her so many question, too which she had answered to the best of her abilities but she wasn't sure they really sufficed too what Jenn really wanted to know. Her drawing could only tell so much of a story with only one picture, even with as much detail as she could put into them, it was still only one tiny frame of a much larger time scale. If she put more than one picture together however it would lead to a story that she would understand but trying to tell such a tale that way would take forever, with all the detail she put into every slide it would take weeks, months maybe even years before she was anyway close to everything she could remember.
Leaning in forward Vixi took a good look at Jenn's face with curiosity, eyes cast off into the distance as if looking at some imaginary object that no one else but her could see...glancing over her shoulder Vixi checked too make sure there wasn't anyone there. There wasn't of course but she just wanted to be sure, if was often hard to sneak up on her with her great sensory abilities; feeling reassured she was reminded of how her father often had such a look on his face. He had told her it was because he was a "great thinker" whatever that was...didn't everyone think? Was it that impressive too think? If that as true then everyone was a great thinker...even Vixi? She hadn't really thought much of his words at that time but looking back on it, it did seem a tad strange, however it was her loving father so she let it slide, if he said he was a great thinker then was.
Though Vixi didn't know it at the time or even now his mind was filled with woes and stress, there was so much ridding on his shoulders and such a little window of time to act on. People were after him, after them both, his loving sweet daughter... though he knew what they would do if they got their hands on her he didn't want to think about it... such great power in one little frail girl.... He didn't want to weight her down though with knowing of what might happen to either of them, always playing off his wandering mind as just his mind wandering or being tired. It was his job to protect his family and that was his was going to do as best as he could even if that meant he had too be away from her for a painstaking amount of time. The trail was still hot and he need to douse the flames before ever thinking about having a normal life with her, UNITY would never get her hands on her once he was done, or even be able to go through their wicked plans at their own whim.
Finally Jenn spoke to Vixi who at this point had been in deep thought as well thinking of her beloved farther, the calming voice of Jenn snapped her out of her daze as her smile broke through across her face. At her words Vixi though of her earlier idea of making more drawings but she wasn't very sure were she should start, there was so many stories to tell... Maybe she should start at the tanks? Or the park? Maybe the first time she hear her fathers voice? Vixi wasn't sure exactly when it had happened with such a strange sense of time but she knew it was her first memory, out of all she had it stood out the most in her head, her mind drew a blank as she tired to imagine just how she would draw it. Shaking the idea out of her head for now she thought it best to try and put the idea on the back burners at least for now as it seemed that Jenn seemed to be steam rolling along in the conversation.
At the idea of why she had been asking all the questions Vixi perked up even going so far as to lean in as if too catch every word that fell from her mouth, the young girls curiosity had been building ever higher since the first barrage of questions and it looked as though she was finally going to find out why such things had been asked, though it wasn't as if she didn't minded it. The girl loved attention, more towards the caring kind and not being cashed down a alleyway by dogs, or being taken in by a man in a suit...then something about UNITY...that day was still fuzzy to her. By nature Vixi was attract too attention, she fed off it, kind words, a rub on the head, food and love was all she ever really needed and so far Jenn had given her all those things so she was more than happy enough to answer a few questions.
Pulling her arm out Jenn ruffled through Vixis long orange hair as her face turned a shade darker as another purr escaped from her throat on impulse; taking interest in her and now head rubs! The day just kept getting better and better! Eyes shut at her touch she kept her ears up to make sure she didn't miss a word that Jenn was saying. Mentioning the Dragon and Brandon once again a small shiver ran down her back as the mental imagines flooded back into her head, quick to react she shoved them back further into her mind but the chill would have been noticeable to Jenn if she had been watching.
Leaning forward Vixi kicked her legs out behind her as her face planted on the soft pillow followed by a deep sigh at what Jenn had told her, arms and legs spread out beside her she thought on the woman's words. Vixi hated fighting with a passion, even as much as she loved the world and most things that it had exposed to her she couldn't stand the idea of actually ever fighting someone. Vixi never wanted to hurt anyone, she had seen too much pain and suffering in her life already and wished that there was some way to end it all, no more fighting and no more pain, even if the only way to stop it all was to fight she didn't think she would have been able to do it....however Jenn was right about one thing... it would be a good idea to defend herself...at least that way if she had too she could defend off whoever was coming after her until Jenn showed up.... Though she couldn't ever imagine why anyone would want to fight her... she hadn't done anything to have that coming to her...right?
The thoughts swirled around in her head as she chewed quietly on the pillows surface a habit she often found herself doing when she was stressed or in deep thought. As much as she wanted to protest the idea she felt as thought she really didn't have much of a choice in the long run of things, maybe it was just something she was bound by life to know how to do? Rolling back and forth on her stomach Vixi lightly pounded the pillow with a childish like grunt as she nodded her head into the pillow. She already had the feeling that she wasn't about to enjoy whatever Jenn had in store for her...ugh...fighting....

Jenn could not help but smile at how pleased Vixi was by her head being scratched, the girl was very easy to please needing really only just a bit of attention to get her to perk up, of course it was often a bit of an odd sight for Jenn, the girl in many ways acted a bit like an actual fox in many ways. Most animal-people did not take nearly as well to being patted or scratched in such a way generally being as accepting of it as a human would. Perhaps just another one of the many things that seemed to set Vixi apart from 'normal people' and why it was that she had so quickly endeared herself to Jenn as much as Jenn had evidently become endeared to Vixi. Perhaps one of Vixi's other better traits was how well she listened as despite her general personality that seemed to imply that she would be the sort to quickly become bored with conversation and wander off instead the young girl always had her attention almost completely fixated on Jenn when she was being spoken too.
And now was an important time for that focus to be in effect, Jenn had expected it would not be the most pleasant thing to bring up the events yesterday and Vixi's shiver upon her mentioning it confirmed as such, exactly WHAT had happened before she arrived was still a mystery to Jenn, one that would certainly remain such until Vixi could speak or write out her thoughts clearly. She had no intention of having the girl depict whatever had bothered her so much in her art, that was perhaps a good way of poisoning the girls love for her drawing and something Jenn had no interest in, it was something that could wait for the time being and the waiting would also give Vixi some time to deal with it on her own terms.
While not exactly a positive one Vixi's reaction to her words was nonetheless amusing, doing a complete face plant into the nearest and largest of the pillows to show her little sign of frustration with the situation followed by a long sigh that produced an amused roll of the eyes from Jenn, at the very least the reaction was not one of fear or outright refusal and all things considered Jenn felt at least reasonably confident that she could read Vixi enough to know it was not in fact a no at all, the girl was just perhaps a bit unhappy with the idea of fighting, thankfully there would not be an extensive amount of physical confrontation to begin with, any of that would be focused on later after they got a hold on Vixi's power. "Come on now, it won't be that bad and any of what I feel I need to teach you that you may not fully enjoy are not to come for a bit, we still need to get you a firm level of understanding and control of your power that won't involve any fighting at all and will hopefully be quite fun." Jenn said hoping to encourage Vixi a bit more as she remained face down on the pillow.
"Once you have control I was thinking that if you were interested that I would teach you the Manifestation technique, the one I used to make the tent and all the pillows." Jenn said, if nothing else perhaps THAT would be enough to bring Vixi around the girl seemed to quite like watching Jenn manifest objects so perhaps the idea that she too might be able to preform the technique would get her excited once again. "I mostly want you to learn these things because I'm worried, your father likely taught you your shield technique for the same reasons, if there was something that was so important that he felt you needed that technique and that he needed to leave then I want to do the same, make sure you are safe even when I am not around." the last point of curiosity with the whole debacle with Vixi's father was what exactly had been so important to him that he would see leaving her behind as necessary? Clearly if he also felt that teaching her the shield technique was more important that standard power control then it was some sort of actual physical threat, perhaps someone after them or some other danger that might be attracted to Vixi even after he left.
