Today was a rather important day as far as Jenn was concerned, after all the time spent on the castle grounds and all she had done there working under the assumption that she had no real way for her to venture much further without being reigned in by Kemuri current evidence was beginning to suggest that that might not necessarily be the case, she had made a venture off of the castles ground twice now. First when she had been taken by Toiu which as far as she knew was a venture sponsored by Kemuri, the second however had been without the hyena's knowledge or permission. She'd gone off to search for Vixi, she'd darted off the grounds a few times earlier in the day and then finally when she'd felt Vixi's energy surge had ventured quite a distance farther than she had dared earlier.
It meant that perhaps Kemuri kept far less of a watch over her as she had assumed, truthfully the more she was around the man the less she began to think he was as much of a mastermind as he presented himself to be, he was intelligent certainly but overconfidence managed to do away with much of the risk he posed, he seemed to genuinely think that there was no actual risk to his reign so perhaps he either didn't bother to pay attention to her movements or simply didn't care. Which was why today was a test, she intended to do as she had wanted to do for quite some time, explore the nearest city. She'd often spotted the far off lights of the city which meant actually finding it was simple enough.
Vixi had gone off on an adventure of her own a few hours earlier and as such Jenn left Vixi a drawing indicating that she too had gone out but left an indicator that she would likely be back before it was too late, with her note in place Jenn took off into the sky flying at a steady pace toward the city, the flight had been a quick one but finding somewhere easy enough to land without notice was... more difficult than anticipated, the city was packed with massive metal buildings many of which were clad with strange glowing signs. What made arriving unnoticed a bit more difficult was the overwhelming number of people, so many people darting all around the city either on foot or within or upon some strange metal device. Eventually she simply settled for landing on a building chosen almost entirely at random, she'd avoided the notice of anyone as of yet through a rather simple means, she had taken the form of a bird while flying.
Once on the roof she retook a humanoid form shifting briefly into her base form before transitioning into her human shape, a young woman with slightly tanned skin and a long mane of fiery red hair bound carefully into an impressively long braid, to anyone down below her human form would be all but indistinguishable from the real thing, the only indicator that anything was amiss was not in fact her form but rather the clothes conjured onto it, Jenn's manner of dress was one that by current standards was QUITE out of date appearing like someone plucked straight out of a history book or work of historical fiction. Jenn had very little experience with modern clothing outside of what was worn by those at unity and all things considered she found herself not particularly interested in taking fashion tips from them and so she chose to venture below as she was dropping down from the roof into a thankfully empty ally.
Once down below Jenn adjusted her clothing after the fall and proceeded out into the world quickly finding herself assaulted by the sights and sounds of Central City at it's busiest. Nothing had prepared her for this, it had seemed busy from above but this was... it was just so far outside of what she had expected, it put even the busiest days at markets in her time to shame. Jenn tried to edge around people but they simply brushed past and the longer she found herself among it all the more overwhelmed Jenn began to feel, she could feel her energy beginning to surge as frustration began to build and it was then she knew she needed to break away, with that in mind she pushed past as many people as she could and darted into the nearest building not even bothering to hide the growing look of distress on her face at this point.

It took a bit of convincing but after some fancy tongue wagging, Ethan had convinced his older brother Kit, that he was perfectly capable of going to the local home improvement store by himself. Granted it was a three mile walk each way as the isolated section of town they had taken up residence in was just that, isolated. The blue haired boy wasn't exactly sure if he'd be allowed to take one of the large lumber carts back with him from the store but without a vehicle there really wasn't any other option. The teen wasn't planning to steal the cart, just borrow it long enough to get his purchases home and was fully willing to walk the twelve miles it would take to go to the store, return with his goods and then return the cart. At least that was the plan. The rains of the previous day had subsided and although the sky wasn't completely clear yet, it was still bright out, the sun peeking out from behind the clouds every once in a while. Ethan's walk into town was largely uneventful, although he did spot a few more of those roving teenagers that had given him such a 'warm' welcome on his first trip through the neighborhood. The word must have spread pretty quickly about the blue haired boy and his blonde brother as the gang members gave the boy a wide birth while doing everything possible to make it look like they weren't running away.
Eventually the boy reached the more populated section of the outer city and before much longer the store was in sight. Ethan strolled through the parking lot, drawing a few stares as he did so, to which the boy simply shrugged and proceeded on. It wasn't until he had entered the vestibule of the House Depot that the blue haired boy realized why people were staring at him. A burly looking security guard stepped into his path of travel holding a hand out to stop the boy and then pointed to a sign.
"Sorry son, you can't come in here dressed like that." the guard issued to Ethan's confusion.
"What? Dressed like what?" the boy stammered and looked to where the guard was pointing. The sign made absolutely no sense to the boy. While he could read the wording just fine, the meaning was utterly ridiculous. 'No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service.' What the hell was that supposed to mean? The guard couldn't possibly want him to take his boots off, he could step on a nail or worse. And what was with this 'No Service' business? And why was everyone else he could see within the store fully clothed. It took another moment of proverbial gear grinding in Ethan's head before he realized he was looking at the sign, or rather it's meaning backwards. In spite of having looks that could kill, the boy would be required to do something he always hated in order to gain entry to the store, wear something above his waist.
Shaking his head and resolving himself to a fruitless walk back to inform Kit that he'd have to go in his stead, rather then find a clothing store and exceed to their ridiculous demands, Ethan turned. He didn't even manage to complete the turn before a young woman came barreling through the door and crashed right into him. The two might have gone over in a heap had the blue haired boy not reacted quickly. Bracing one foot back he kept himself from toppling and likewise kept the redheaded girl from the same potential fate by holding out an arm to catch her.
"Woe there." the boy chuckled. "Gotta slow down or you'll hurt someone." he added with a smile.

Jenns heart was racing at a mile a minute as she pulled away from the horde of people, it had been unlike anything she had ever expected or even imagined. She'd of course seen that there were many people down below but it had not seemed so very cramped and not half as busy from the skies, it had actually been an amusing sight to see just so many people but thrusting herself into the mix so suddenly had been an entirely different beast the sights and sounds had been so much more intense and the people... they seemed to mvoe to a rhythm entirely seperate from her, even as she pulled away her eyes scanned the crowd and unlike herself the rest of the populace seemed to have no issues moving amongst each other, even those she had pushed to put a bit of distance between herself and the horde only stumbled slightly before quite easily getting themselves together stopping only briefly to try and see who had shoved them.
Thankfully her escape was very thoroughly disguised by the very swarm of people that had caused it and none of them identified her as the person who had shoved them, departing from the hurried bustle was a major relief to Jenn she found her breathing already beginning to level out as she moved backward into a building, with any luck a building would be less busy or at the very least if there were many people it would not be so condensed, they would be busy searching for things to purchase. Jenns 'foolproof' plan of course hit a bit of a hitch as she stepped backward through the doorway and directly into someone, the only easy way to prevent a complete wreck from her present position would require a bit of energy use pushing out with her energy to float rather than fall but doing so in her present state was... risky... and on top of that she knew little of how common energy users were in this era.
So to that end Jenn simply prepared herself for the fall that would almost certainly come, however thats to a bit of quick thinking and even more quick action from the person she had bumped into Jenn found herself still quite upright a few moments later as an arm bolted out to brace her against the fall, the action on the strangers part was all Jenn needed to stabilize herself enough to keep on her feet and she let out a low sigh having narrowly avoided a small disaster after the much larger one that had been her arrival in the city. "I... I apologize, I was not quite expecting the city to be so busy and wanted to find somewhere a bit more calm as quickly as possible." Jenn explained as she turned to face the stranger adjusting her clothes as they had become slightly askew between the bustle of the swarm and the near tumble they had. She found herself faced with a young man, almost certainly Human by his appearance wearing little more than a pair of pants and gloves, atop his head was a short cut head of hair that was a color of blue she had never quite seen on a person before. "Thank you for catching me as well, I should have been paying better attention to where I was going." It was a small blessing that it appeared that he held no ill will because of the crash, his smile and general body language seemed to imply that eh didnt much care at all which was a thankful contrast from what she had seen earlier.

Holding his arm out after catching himself during the collision, Ethan managed to catch the young woman who'd crashed into him and provide her with the stability she needed to both keep from falling and to straiten herself back out after the fact. As the young lady settled herself she almost seemed nervous to Ethan as he apologized for having run into him. In fact no apology was really necessary, the boy figured the collision was as much his fault as hers and there were worse things he could be ploughed into by then pretty young ladies. Oh yes, the teen couldn't care less who crashed into whom, he was for the first time, not counting passersby on the streets, face to face with a girl that wasn't one of his sisters and quite the looker at that. The blue haired boy almost blushed as the young woman went on to thank him for catching her while she straitened out her clothes, a simple dress that seemed a little out of place when contrasted against the modern clothing other women seemed to be wearing. It didn't really matter to him though, Ethan's own manner of dress was apparently just as questionable in this city even though back home no one other then his mother ever complained about it, so he wasn't about to judge anyone else's clothes.
"Aw, not a problem miss." Ethan responded, his manner a little awkward now that he'd gotten any eye full of the girl. He scratched the back of his head with one hand searching for something to properly reply with. It only seemed logical to continue along a line of conversation she herself started and so continued, all be it still stilted in his speech, speaking to his inexperience at talking to girls who weren't his sister. "Oh, yeah, the city's not what I was expecting either. That means you're new here too right? Yeah, they won't even let me inside without a shirt so, yeah. Um, I'm Ethan by the way."

Jenn found herself quite grateful that the boy was not angered by there collision, having to deal with an irate young human would have been a bit more frustrating than Jenn was entirely certain she could have handled after what she had just experienced. She felt a bit ashamed with how poorly she had dealt with experiencing the city but perhaps it would jsut require a bit more 'work' than she had anticipated. Now though perhaps it would be best to simply explore a bit of the less active areas of the city, perhaps whatever this building was would be a good start assuming it was some sort of public store or something of that sort.
It was surprisingly relieving when the young man mentioned that the city had likewise not been what he had been expecting indicating that much like herself he was not exactly accustomed to this sort of thing, of course the difference was that where he was likely simply sheltered from such a busy city, perhaps hailing from a smaller town or perhaps something even more remote Jenn was out of her depth entirely, everything that caught he glance was foreign and strange, even more so than the castle had been which was impressive to say the least as even the castle itself had been a bit overwhelming at first. Jenn muffled a laugh as Ethan introduced himself and asked if she was 'new here' as well, if only he knew.
"A pleasure to meet you Ethan, you can call me Jenn." she said giving him a friendly smile while turning over in her mind the best way to help him with his present predicament, the store evidently had a policy that prohibited Ethan's preferred dress style "It's quite unfortunate when they do that, I suppose it's best I came dressed like this then." Jenn said more thinking aloud than anything else. "If you need then I believe I could provide you with something to wear for the time being if you need to get in." Jenn said bringing an arm behind her back as if to reach into a bag that did not exist and 'pulling out' a shirt with a color scheme that matched the color scheme of Ethans headphones, black with a few circular blue designs around the shoulders and neck.
In reality Jenn had done a quick and simple manifestation to conjure up the shirt for Ethan, he'd kept her from falling and had been pleasant enough that she saw no reason not to help him, in addition to the shirt she also manifested a back conveniently strapped to her back with any luck the fact that he would not be able to enter the building would overshadow how convenient it was that she had such a shirt available. "It should fit you well enough and the material is light enough that it is perhaps the closest you can get to 'wearing nothing' while suiting the needs of those in charge." Jenn said as she held the shirt out to Ethan, the material itself was something akin to silk giving the shirt a look of being something quite expensive.

"Well it's good to meet you too Jenn." Ethan responded to the young lady's introduction, mirroring her own reply to his. She went on to joke about the store's dress code which helped ease the tension a little and then went right ahead and jumped head first into the realm of the unexpected. From out of nowhere the young lady offered him a mode by which he might gain entry to the store and equally from the ether, produced a fantastically expensive looking silk shirt from a bag that Ethan was only now just noticing. The boy's expression cracked to utter confusion for a few moments as he tried to figure out exactly what was going on. Why would she just give him some thing so expensive and even odder still, why was she carrying a guy's shirt anyway?
"Uhhh.... Gee thanks." Ethan stammered and reached out to take up the garment. It was indeed as light and delicate as Jenn claimed, absolutely had to be silk, the blue haired boy was sure of it.
"I appreciate it, really, but this's got to be worth a fortune." the boy continued. He wanted to bring up the issue of who's shirt it actually was, like a boy friend's but thought better of it. Ethan might be rude on occasion but he wasn't so badly mannered as to pry into the girl's private life after just having met her, so the only issue he had with the gift was in fact it's apparent price. Thankfully the convenience of the shirt having been there in the first place overshadowed the fact that it also looked like a silken picture of his headphones otherwise the blue haired boy would really have been 'weirded out.' So with nothing but the price keeping him from accepting it and his own inerrant distaste for the garments in general, though that was something he was willing to swallow for the sake of getting into the store, Ethan turned to shirt around, unplugged his headphones and set them on the floor and then pulled the garment over his head.
"You're sure? I can wear it?" he asked. "I could give it right back when we leave." he added and picked up his headphones and turned to the sliding glass door to examine his ghostly reflection. 'Wow.' was the only word to pass through his mind. The shirt did nothing to hide his impressive physique which as far as the teen was concerned was fantastic. Although the fabric was light as a feather it clung to his skin like a second layer, allowing every muscle group to show clearly through. Ethan was impressed, so much so that if Jenn said he could keep it, he might even wear it to show Kit when he got back to the school.

Jenn let out a chuckle over Ethans reaction to being given the shirt as evidently she had perhaps put a bit too 'much' into it, she'd gone for the lightest and most comfortable fabric that came to mind it had been a type of silk she had encountered many many years ago during Vitam's time as Guardian, they had made a venture down to the world below and happened upon a traveling merchant. The man had claimed the garments he had made were woven from the silk of a spider so powerful and so immense it was capable of felling even a dragon, while the tale he had told was perhaps less than likely to be true the quality he had promised had not been quite as tall of a tale, it had been QUITE the task attempting to recreate the silk for her own manifestation and even still her items were often not quite 'there' as far as she was concerned but they were more than good enough and evidently still held up in terms of quality to this age if Ethan's reaction was one to be taken seriously.
"Do not worry about the price of the shirt, trust me when I say to me it is mostly inconsequential" she watched as Ethan carefully slipped the shirt on and much to her satisfaction the shirtless young man seemed to quite enjoy it taking a few moments to look himself over in the glass "If you find you do not like it by the time you leave you can return it to me, if you do like it then keep it as I said the price is inconsequential and I think perhaps it may fit you a tad better than it would fit me." She said with another laugh as Ethan continued looking himself over, he was a surprisingly well muscled individual for one who appeared to be so young, certainly an athlete of some sort though if she had to put a real guess on it she would peg him for a martial artist of some sort. "Before I enter I am curious as I had no chance to inspect the outside of the building, what sort of store is this?" Jenn asked hoping that the change of subject would veer Ethan away from fretting over whether he should keep the shirt or not, the answer to the question would also clue Jenn in on Ethan's own reasons for being here.
Already she was beginning to feel much more relaxed, even with the bustle of the city just a few feet away being even this far away from it was infinitely better and while perhaps she was avoiding her original plan of getting to really see the city perhaps to begin with exploring the local shops would be for the best, it would give her at least some concept of how much the world really has changed and hopefully would not be nearly as terrible as the outside and as well it would give her a chance to get to know Ethan, the young human was pleasant enough so far and was strangely powerful compared to the average human without being an absolute overwhelmingly powerful super-warrior as she had recently been becoming accustomed to everyone short of Bear being.

Ethan was still mezmerized, checking out his own reflection in the sliding glass door that Jenn could have asked him quite literally anything and the boy would hardly have noticed. It wasn't that he was egotistical, which indeed Ethan was to some extent, but rather that he'd never thought a piece of clothing could look so good on him. Always he preferred the simplicity and freedom of as little clothing as posible to martial arts gi's most of his siblings wore. They wre supposedly non-restrictive but the blue haired boy felt otherwise, especially when one would try and run and the darn thing woulf flap around all over the place. No, bare skin was so much better, at least when one wasn't trying to look fancy anyway. This though was what Ethan thought to be the epitome of fancy, the shirt had to be worth a small fortune and the young lady had just handed it to him without a second thought. Better still she was practically insisting that her keep it, that much at least sank in until the boy finally tore his gaze away from the reflection and back to Jenn.
"Miss Jenn, thank you" the boy replied with a bright smile. "You'll have to come by the school some time so I can find a way to pay you back, this is too fantastic a gift for me not to." he added and then trundled on to the next topic the young woman brought up.
"And this place?, It's a home impovement store. Like a hardware store only bigger, at least that's what I've been told. Only went with my brothers into town a few times and never actually went into the store. but a hardware store or this place is where you go for building materials, tools, that sort of thing." Ethan continued, explaining as best he could the purpose of the establishment, the vestibule wherein they were currently standing. Holding out his hand, Ethan offered his to the young lady for security's sake, she'd seemed to overwhelmed by the busy city that it might be best, he thought, to give her a hand to hold while they explored the store, lest she collide with someone less forgiving then he was.
"Well should we go on in?" he asked cheerfully and gestured with his free hand towards the inner door, the previously unpleasent security guard receiding back to his station now that the boy was properly atired.

Jenn watched in amusement as Ethan appeared utterly mesmerized by how he looked with the shirt on, she had intended for the shirt to be quite nice but she had not expected a reaction such as this to the shirt, really the only vaguely difficult part about creating it had been properly gauging Ethan's size the material that the shrit was made of did a lot of work toward ensuring that it fit his form but she'd still needed to make an educated guess on where he fell without really much to go on, when she'd made Vixi's new clothes it had been after a few days with the fox-girl, thankfully one of the boons of being a shape shifter was that it provided a solid means of accurately gauging someones measurements based her having taken on shapes of a similar general size and needing to manifest clothing for her new shape. Men were perhaps a bit easier in that regard, no need to account for bust size unless the man was particularly overweight.
Finally Ethan found the strength to tear himself away from the mirror earning an amused smirk from Jenn as he whirled back around to face her thanking her once again with a smile to which Jenn simply waved off the thanks, it quite literally took nothing to create the shirt. Jenn raised an eyebrow as Ethan suggested that she ought to 'come by the school' so that he might fight a way to pay her back, that was certainly a curious statement as while Ethan looked rather young he didn't quite seem 'school age' to her though Jenn had little idea what actually constituted 'school age' in this era. "You do not really need to pay me back Ethan but I'll certainly try to stop by, we'll need to find some means of allowing me to more easily locate the school however, I've not actually seen much of the city." Jenn said, most of the building had looked fairly similar from the sky so actually picking one out from the others would certainly be quite the task without a bit more information on the school or perhaps a general location for it.
Ethan then went on to answer her question about what the store actually was and the answer, the store was one dedicated to the improvement of ones home, the comparison to a 'hardware' store was of course lost on Jenn but the further explanation that it was where one went to purchase materials for building and the tools with which to build with cleared up any further questions. Certainly a store that held little actual sigifigance to herself considering the fact that with a moderate expenditure of energy she could produce most anything she could ever need, even the materials with which to create something that would normally be outside of her range of producing with manifestation were an option and over the years she had obtained a fair knowledge on wood and stone bansed construction. Evidently if this store was somewhere that Ethan needed to enter he had some sort of construction project that he needed something for or perhaps he was simply obtaining materials for some future project.
"I see no reason why we should not." Jenn said with an amused grinn as Ethan held out his hand to her perhaps to ensure she did not go crashing into someone else as she had with him, without much thought to it Jenn accepted his hand and would let Ethan lead the way as he was the one that required something from the store. "What do you require from this store if you do not mind my asking? I would have to guess you either have something to repair or something new to create considering what you have told me of this establishment." Jenn would ask once they set off into the store

With Jenn's hand now clasped in his, Ethan smiled again at her insistence that he didn't need to pay her back and shook his head. He didn't want to force any more thanks upon her but such a gift warranted at least some form a remuneration. At the very least he could play host to her in their school and give the young lady a tour of the place, at least once it was back in a presentable shape, which brought Ethan's mind back to the subject of why he was here. If Ethan was going to get anything done today he could stand around chatting for half of it, especially when there were three more trips to be made along the three mile route.
"Well at least when you want, come by and I'll show you around the place." Ethan replied and started to walk into the store. As they stepped into the cavernous space, it was a little awe inspiring as the blue haired boy had never been in a building that was so large and yet appeared to have very little holding it up. In reality the building was quite structurally sufficient, it's expansive roof being supported by steel columns more then strong enough to uphold the weight. Ethan though was from the mountains and in the compound non of the buildings were made of steel, not even the ones in the nearest town, oh some were made of concrete, others brick and still more of wood, but none of steel and definitely none quite this large. It took a moment for the teen to get past the sheer size of the place before Jenn's question registered.
"Oh what? Oh! Yeah, well the school I hold you about." the boy started as they carefully picked their way past the other shoppers and started down one of the large isles. "My brother and I sort of inherited it. But it's been abandoned for a long time, so we've got to fix the place up before we can open it again. I bet it looked real nice too back when it was in it's prime." he paused a moment, assembling the imaginary image in his head. The grand building at the center of the school property surrounded on all sides by lush gardens and a few ancillary but yet no less ornate structures and then the mighty wall that too this day was still in near perfect condition, minus the graffiti of course.
"Yeah, couple weeks of work and we should be ready to open the place back up again." Ethan resumed. "So yeah, right now though I just need the basics, got to assemble a tool chest so we have the tools to do the work, then get some lumber to patch a few urgent holes. Then it's one thing at a time until we're ready to open. Mmm, what about you miss... uh, Jenn, what are you in the city for?"

Jenn listened with great interest as Ethan went on to explain more about the school finally revealing that it was not in fact a school that he attended but rather one that he and his brother were rebuilding and intending on opening that was certainly something that Jenn could respect, regardless of what sort of school it was it was alawys good to see people who were willing to teach others the skills that they felt they knew well. It was a curious thing however to try and wonder what it was that Ethan would be capable of teaching at such an age, usually someone as young as he appeared to be was more concerned with perfecting there skills rather than teaching them but then again perhaps he was simply one of the lucky few who was born with a gift for whatever it was he intended to teach. That made the idea of him aiding in teaching at a school even better especially considering his age. He would be capable of teaching for many many years to come even while gaining an even greater understanding of whatever it was he intended to teach.
Watching the look on Ethan's face as he was rather clearly picturing his vision for what the schookl would one day look like when it was once again restored to it's former glory was quite amusing, the young man certainly had quite the passion for this project and Jenn could only hope that his brother had the same. "If you would like perhaps I could help with the reconstruction a bit, I've done a bit of work in that vein myself so at the very least I might be able to provide some ideas on how best to accomplish your plans for it." Jenn suggested, it was tough not to simply offer to provide the tools and materials necessary for Ethan's restoration project but she was still as of yet unsure exactly how receptive people of this era were to such powers. UNITY displayed abilities far and above what any ordinary person should have been capable of but TOIU's comments had also implied that some of her abilities were rare even for them.
"My reasons for coming to the city are far less interesting than your own, I mostly came because I have never been to a city such as this, I am used to places that are far less... busy? I suppose is one way of describing it, I'm used to smaller towns and less people." Jenn explained once again doing her best to avoid giving away too much, magic was perhaps one thing that she could get away with in this era, it would be simple enough to explain it as an extension of her own powers expressed in a manner that was difficult to fully explain... explaining that she was a genie lost in time after being sealed away for kais-know how long was an entirely different beast and one that would certainly be far more difficult to explain without also providing a lot more information about herself.

"Aw, that's allright Miss Jenn, I think my brother and I can handle it, besides, he'd probably yell at me for bringing people back to help when the place in still such a wreck." Ethan replied trying to politely refuse Jenn's offer to help. Restoring the school was a task for he and his brother and noone else, for him to bring in outside help would surely have meant they were unworthy to the task and the last thing he wanted to do was fail his brother. Jenn was a nice girl however so he didn't want to hurt her feelings, hopefully she'd take his refusal well. It wasn't like he said something completely stupid like 'Girls can't work,' the boy might be thick at sometimes but he wasn't that thick and knew well not to underestimate his female siblings and thus any girl, woman or lady.
Listening to Jenn tell him about her own reasons for being in the city, Ethan nodded understandin just how overwelmed she must have felt, heck she'd run strait into him in an effort to escape the crowded streets and on some level the blue haired boy himself felt a little closed in with the number of people always around. Their backgrounds were somewhat similar in that Jenn explained she was used to smaller towns and Ethan's own childhood was spent in the tight nit compound hidden away in the mountains and the largest community he'd ever seen outside of the coumpoud were the few mountain towns they traded with. Both of them were fish out of water in this city but unlike Ethan who viewed the emense steel and conrete city with wonderment, Jenn appeared to be having some difficulty aclmating. Their meeting seemed apt as the teen could provide the young lady with the support she seemed to need while they both explored their surroundings. They were starting off small, as one should in such an undertaking and at least as far as the hugeness of the city was concirned, the massive construction store was small.
"Well Miss Jenn, I grow up in a small community myself, I understand how you feel here." the boy responded as they ventured further into the store. Being as observant as he could while speaking with Jenn, Ethan spotted the line of shopping carts arranged for the customers and guided her closer so he could grab one with his free hand while the other stayed comfortably clasped in her's. Just from the entrance Ethan could tell the place was absolutely gigantic. The isles were flanked by huge, orange painted endcaps displaying any number of products and the isles themselves stretched back hundreds of feet and were more then twenty feet tall. Frankly Ethan wondered how they would reach items they high up until he spotted a store attendant maneuvering a large, wheeled set of stairs down one of the isles. 'Heh, would you look at that, stairs on wheels.' the boy thought to himself, ever surprised by the city.
