"We know what we are, but not what we may be"
~William Shakespeare
"Two"
His grasp on reality was coming into full. Two eye's, one nose, a mouth with exactly twenty eight teeth -the wisdom teeth having already been removed- The synthetic hair grown to a proper length of 3 and 1/2 inches from the head, and dyed a royal blue. Ten fingers and ten toe's. Two arms and two legs with one private appendage in between. Laying within the pod was the final remaining Ryouken model. The only thing left was a mission statement. The pod had not yet been updated fully with purpose, and yet was filled with data regarding past expenditures, failures, and successes. Anything to do with one of the previous models was planted in the mind of the creature. The lab coat typed furiously as the siren sounded for a final time, the words typed on the monitor in front of him.
Ryouken Unit-72, Purpose is to protect m
"One"
Unable to finish the data entry the explosion would engulf the room, and the monitor would be destroyed upon impact. Ryouken unit-72 would remain an unfinished product. The world around him was clearly in chaos, and yet all the Android would come to understand was that he was meant to Protect "m"
Smoke, and plenty of it filled the room, engulfing the walls in a cursed orange flame, one so hot that not even the metal of the room would withstand it. As the ceiling began to collapse in on itself, and the ruins of the building seemed salvageable one pod remained unscathed. The door's opened, having been cut from the main power grid and unable to sustain the creation for any longer. Reaching a firm hand out of the pod the unit found himself immediately overcome with the critical need to survive, leaping out of his casing and putting both hands out at his side, the creature released a large blue light. His body exerting the generated Ki into a shielding that immediately drew away the fire and brought the room into a serene silence. After a moment the unnamed droid dropped his arms, peering around the room, his hardware already determining where they were.
"Location...Laboratory...Signs of life...Negative"
Stepping over the charred body of the one man whom had tried valiently to give him purpose the droid continued to walk in circles around the room. His eyes peering over the walls and through the cabinets that had melted in on themselves. The files were all but destroyed, yet this droid already knew their innards. He was not ignorant to the facility. However the situation was stressful to the Android. Letting out a sigh of confusion and bringing up a hand to rub the temple of his head, the Android began to feel his first human pain, a head ache. This didn't make any sense. His release protocols were for over two months away, and the facility was perfectly in tact according to the records he had stored. He was being created by a team of...well that was accounted for, or so he observed from the bodies layering the halls and the room. The only logical explanation was that he was released prior to his execution date, and there was a protocol for that as well. So long as he fell back on his purpose he would be alright.
"Initiating Purpose...Protecting...M"
The headache became worse, Protecting M didn't make any sense. Purpose was supposed to be specific. Their bodies geared for the task of accomplishing their goals, yet he had nothing. His banks immediately determined that M was an error in language seeing as a single consonant didn't match any names in the Red Ribbon files, or any word in the spoken tongue. Meaning his purpose was to...protect.
That still wasn't very clear, although now looking around at the cooling debris he began to understand that he had in fact protected this room upon exiting his chamber of slumber. Perhaps it was meant to be vague. His mental development gave him a small peering into philosophy and gave him a deeper meaning of the world around him.
"Initiating Purpose...Protection"
His feet lifted off the ground slowly, bringing him into the harsh winds of the deep mountains in which the laboratory was hidden, and then with a flash of invisible aura the android shot forward, flying through the sky, his eyes constantly vigilant and watching. Watching for someone or something to protect. For that was his only purpose.
(Don't like Solo's very much, but here is my entrance into the world)
