It has been several days since the incident in the woods. Standing in the clearing, Azazel looked around. It looked like nothing had happened here, but the images were still clear in her mind. The leader of that group had gotten away and it looked like they came back for the giant man. Azazel knew that she should have killed him when she had the chance, but it wasn’t in her nature to take another mans life. Hearing rustling behind her, she whips around ready for a fight. Quickly she realizes that it is the old man Alexandria has been staying with.
“Old man what are you doing here? You should be at the house.” Azazel said
“I should say the same to you Azazel. Alexandria has been wondering where you have been going the past few days. You still need time to rest from the attack. Coming back here everyday isn’t going to help. You need to forget about what happened that day.” The old man said making his way over to Azazel.
“That is easier said than done old man, they are still after me. I need to make sure they aren’t still here, still hiding. As long as they know where I am Alexandria is in danger. I can’t let them ever get the surprise on me.” Azazel explained looking the old man in the eyes
“I am sure after the beating you gave that large man from a few days ago. I doubt they are going to come and try to attack you again. Everything is going to be fine Azazel, you don’t need to be coming back here every day.” the old man said lighting up a pipe and taking a few puffs.
Turning to face the old man “Everything will be fine once I kill the man that is going after Alexandria. The only problem is, Alexandria won’t talk to me about it. She knows something about this situation, but she deflects every time I bring it up. I don’t know what to do anymore.” Azazel said to the elderly gentlemen
“Well perhaps you have to give the child time. Since these men were after you I am sure it scared her. From what you told me when you first meet Alexandria, she had no one. You have been the only person that has helped her and I am sure she doesn’t want you taken away from her.” The old man said
The old man was interrupted by Azazel placing a hand on his shoulder motioning him to be quiet. Slowly turning around Azazel saw three men coming out of the tree line. They were all wearing black suites and shades. Not wanting to waste time with it later, Azazel began to transform, her deep red horns shooting out from her forehead. The three men however didn’t react, they kept their stance, not moving. A familiar face came out from behind the three.
“Well Azazel I didn’t think I was going to find you here again. My men and I are just here to collect the rest of our stuff. It appears that I have dropped something that is valuable to me. I believe that you or one of your friends picked it up.” the leader said taking a few steps forward.
Azazel had no idea what he was talking about, but she wasn’t going to let him know that. Keeping her ground she said nothing, only glaring at the man.
“Now Azazel, what’s wrong? Are you still upset about last time? That is in the past, don’t let it bother you anymore. I would think we could have a pleasant conversation between friends, don’t you think?” The man said smiling at Azazel
She was about to charge him, but felt the old mans hand rest on her shoulder. Looking down, the elderly man was standing beside her, still puffing smoke from his pipe. She didn’t know what he was doing or why he would even get himself involved in this matter in the first place.
“Don’t let him get under your skin Azazel, Let me talk to him.” The old man whispered to Azazel “I think we ca resolve this situation without conflict, you seem like a reasonable man.” The old man said taking a few puffs of his pipe
“Well who do we have here? Did you bring another friend of yours into the forest Azazel. At least he seems intelligent, unlike those others. All I am asking for is for you to hand over what you took from me.” The Leader said lighting up a cigarette taking a drag. “I want the same as you old man, there is no need for this to get violent.”
“I will give you nothing and I suggest that you leave before I hurt you and your men.” Azazel said letting her black aura flare
“Calm down Azazel, there is no need for you to do anything right now. Just please trust me, everything will work out.” The old man said to Azazel, then turning his attention back to the leader. “Now what is it that you are looking for? You aren’t going to be able to get Azazel, you tred that once and failed.” The man asked
At that moment is when Azazel remembered that Migan and Alexandria has asked Azazel not to tell her parents who they were after that day. The old man had no idea that they were after Alexandria and not her. She tried to get in front of the old man, but he placed a hand on her stomach, telling her to stay put.
The leader began to laugh “You think we are after Azazel, old man. Oh that is great, it looks like Azazel has lied to you. I do not care for her, all I want is Alexandria, the red-eyed child. She belongs to me and this time we are going to get her.” The Leader said dropping his cigarette, stamping it out.
The old man slowly turned to face Azazel, but she didn’t meet his gaze. Her attention was still focused on the Leader. He was the one that was making it hard for Alexandria to stay in one place. He is responsible for something that happened to her. He is the one that needs to be taken out and it needs to be done today. Walking forward she was stopped by the old man
“I don’t know why you didn’t tell me they were after Alexandria. You told me they were after you. We will talk after you are done here. I will see you back at the house.” the Old man whispered to Azazel as he made his way away from the clearing.
“Then I guess with his dispatcher, which means talking is over? I am sorry it has come down to this Azazel, but I know you haven’t fully recovered from the other day. So men if you don’t mind taking care of her for me.”
Once he finished the three men ran at Azazel, one was a little faster than the other as he began to throw a punch combo at Azazel. She was fast enough to catch each and every punch, but was caught off guard when he ducked and one of the other men jumped up, kicking her in the head. She was sent tumbling backwards. Stopping just before slamming into a tree. Rising to her feet the third man was already upon her, but unfortunately for him his part in this fight would be over first.
Turning to the left, her right hand would find the back of the man’s head. With great force she would slam his head into the tree behind. She had used more of her energy in this slam then she thought. The moment his head made contact with the tree he kept going through it. Azazel had slammed the man through the tree, tossing him into the one a few yards behind the first. His body slumped to the ground, she had no time to see if he was still breathing, for there were still two more problems to be dealt with. Turning around the other two hadn’t moved.
“If you want to remain in one piece I suggest you walk the other way. Like I told your Leader before, you are never going to get to Alexandria.” Azazel screamed
The man on the left was the first to act, once again he charged at Azazel. Once again he started throwing different combination of punches at Azazel. Like before she caught each and every punch, that is when she knew what was going to happen next. Right when the man ducked the other once again jumped up to kick her. Why they tried the same maneuver again she did not know. Turning to the right Azazel would grab onto the man’s leg. Spinning to the left she would drag the man through the air. HE would be thrown back towards the Leader, sliding across the ground landing at his feet.
Her attention was drawn back to the man on the ground as he got back to an upright position. Shooting her left hand out she grabbed onto the mans throat. Slowly she lifted him off the ground. He tried to remove her hand, but he was weak. Watching as the man gasped for air, Azazel’s face was blank. There was no emotion being shown and no mercy would be given to these men. Releasing him, the man dropped to his knees gasping for air. A confused look came across the man, but Azazel knew what she was doing. As he slowly rose back to his feet, that is when she struck. Lifting her left leg, she extended it out with great strength. Her foot found it’s mark, slamming dead center on the chest. The man was sent flying through the air, passed the Leader colliding with a tree several feet behind them.
Unlike with the first man, it was easier to tell that this man was still alive. Azazel could see that he was still breathing, his breaths were slow, but he wasn’t dead yet. Azazel began to make her way over to the leader, but stopped as she saw the man that got thrown get back to his feet. He was hesitant. They had all seen how strong Azazel was, she was even stronger then the first time. Looking over at the Leader, he knew what had to be done. This would be the man’s final charge. Stepping to the side once again Azazel dodged the mans fist as he ran by her.
Turning around she charged at the man. As he turned to se Azazel, she was already next to him with her right hand on his face. Causing the man to trip she would push with her right arm. Ultimately slamming his head into the ground. She continued to run by him as his head bounced off the grass. All three men had been taken care of. Two of them were now unconscious and one was possibly dead, she still needed to go check on him. Turning around the Leader was gone.
Shouting from the distance “Thank you for all of your help Azazel I think I got everything that I needed. Next time we meet I am going to get my hands on Alexandria. Until we meet again.” The Leader shouted
Frantically looking around, Azazel could not pinpoint the exact direction the voice was coming from. HE had gotten away again. Dropping to her knees, slamming both fists into the ground, screaming at the top of her lungs. Anyone around would think there was a banshee in the woods. It was so loud the Old man could hear it crystal clear.
Turning around taking one final hit of the pipe “I guess she wasn’t able to get him. Someday you will get your hands on him Azazel, for that I am sure. I better go check on her.”[/color]
Several minutes passed, Azazel was still kneeling on the ground. Angry that she let the Leader get away once again. The old man finally made his way back to the clearing. Looking around he saw the three bodies still lying on the ground. He didn’t know if Azazel had killed those men.
Walking over to Azazel’s location “Well Azazel, from the scream I just heard I would guess that man got away. From quickly looking around it seems like you took out the three gentlemen that were accompanying him.” The old man said placing a hand on her shoulder
Azazel slowly rose from the ground, turning to face the old man. “He got away….I was too focused on those idiots that I let him get out of my sight. I swear that next time I encounter him. HE isn’t going to be able to walk away. Alexandria will finally be safe and I will no longer have to worry about her.” Azazel explained
“Oh my child, you are going to be worrying about that girl for the rest of your life. As long as Alexandria is with you. You are always going to be watching out for her well-being. Don’t fool yourself, you will never stop protecting that child.” The old man said packing his pipe with more tobacco, as he began to make his way back to the house, motioning for Azazel to follow
Azazel couldn’t help but smile at his words. For what he said was true. Alexandria was the one thing in this universe that was keeping her sane. No one was going to take that away from her. They have spent far too much time together to be separated now. Azazel couldn’t even bear the thought of leaving this planet without Alexandria by her side. Even though that Leader got away this time. Azazel knew the next time they meet was going to be the last. Following the old man Azazel decided right then that she wasn’t going to come back to this spot for a very long time.
“Old man what are you doing here? You should be at the house.” Azazel said
“I should say the same to you Azazel. Alexandria has been wondering where you have been going the past few days. You still need time to rest from the attack.
