In his fury and due to his transformation, the former crown prince of New Vegeta hardly even noticed the gathering collection of powers around him. They did little to concern him now though, so far below he were all of them. After he was done with Invictus, he would single out all the Church Cardinals and make them pay dearly for everything they had done. At their powers as he was sensing them now, it would be like stepping on a bug. There would be nothing they could do. This was war, they were terrorists, and they had harmed the wrong innocents.
The power that was coursing through his veins felt unreal. He had done it. He had finally obtained the rank of Super Saiyan, for what else could this be? The threat in front of him no longer seemed as daunting, the creature would still be a challenge, but it would be one he could handle. The former Saiyan prince was one of the toughest beings in the galaxy, time and again he had proven that. This would be another test. With eyes to match the fury within and without, the rightful King stared down Invictus Maneo, unafraid of what he saw.
William then seemed to split into multiple people, and the rightful king of Saiyans braced himself. Was this the beginning of the attacks by the church? There was no doubt a vicious battle would take place here, but Ninjin was still trying to figure out the sides. It seemed like so many of his allies and friends were here, but that just couldn’t be the case could it? How in the world would they have ended up on the church homeworld? No the much more likely explanation was that they were using Ninjin’s known allies as facades to confuse him. It was a clever tactic, but it wasn’t going to work.
One of the Williams appeared in front of Invictus, and the other in front of him. The young human’s form began to flicker within moments of growing close to the Super Saiyan’s aura, but all he needed was a few moments. His words were simple and familiar, and yet they only served to further increase the crimson warriors’ doubts.
“Remember Ninjin, you’re a good man now.”
Ninjin took in a breath of air quickly. How could the church have known about his last talk with Willie? Unless… Perhaps this wasn’t a trick of the church, but one of his imagination. Did Invictus even know that the others were there? Or were they figments of his imagination, seemingly real but brought about due to the stressful situation. Was the William Watson in front of him his conscience? It was an appropriate form to take. The warrior swallowed hard and blinked back tears as his aura whipped all around him.
His eyes were drawn into the orb in front of him for a moment. So much destructive power. Enough to take lives. Enough to take millions if he merely pointed it at the city and fired. There was a lustful feeling that came to him suddenly and urged him to do it. To let it go. Whether they had hurt anyone or not, the very edicts of the church meant that they all wished him dead. Why shouldn’t he kill them? Right, wrong, were even was the line anymore? Was it wrong to try and protect your people at all costs? To ensure that your innocents live, even at the cost of others? He bit the feeling back.
“Remember Ninjin, you’re a good man now.” The voice of young Watson reverberated within his mind once more. Could he really do this? Did he have a choice? Was this really the time for such internal struggles of morality? Had Ninjin not been so heavily focused on these things and what William Watson had said to him, he might have caught what the other William said to Invictus. This would surely have cleared things up for the confused Saiyan, for if they were clones of the church, why would they ask the Cardinal such a question? And if they were figments of his imagination, why would they bother asking a question like that? He knew nothing of these people. Alas, the words went unheard.
And then suddenly the Conri Lane too ascended the rank of Super Saiyan. He had reacted poorly, and in a manner identical to how the Real Conri Lane would react, to what Ninjin had said to him. He was seemingly confused that the former prince didn’t expect him to know who he was. Ninjin had let that go however, as the church was no doubt quick to anger with him, why too would their copy of Conri not react the same? They were incredibly impressive copies, but Ninjin’s logical mind just couldn’t believe that his friends were here. It was too serendipitous. They were too far from known space, and too far into the homeland of the church, presumably. That they could be here? The odds were incalculable.
The clone had seemed utterly dejected and feeling hopeless once Ninjin and Invictus had reached their powerful forms. Though the Conri Lane in front of him was more powerful than the one he knew, he could not even hope to reach their powers in his current form. Ninjin’s suspicions seemed confirmed then, mistaking Conri’s desperation over both men’s increase in power for merely one at his own. Once he had made his transformation the Super Half-Saiyan said nothing. What really confused Ninjin was the fact that he wasn’t staring at him, no the Half-Saiyan’s eyes were locked on Invictus.
“What in the world…” He muttered to himself. This was confusing. He wondered what Celeh was making of it, the solider having made her way closer to him.
Out of the ship that bore the seal of the church, the clone of Frigid came. Ninjin only caught it out of the corner of his eye, so focused was he on Invictus. Yet what he saw only served to confuse him further. The Icejin transformed, and then seemed to address the members of the church gathered. Had the wind carried the words wrong, or had he just asked whom he was going to kill first?
The Super-Saiyans brow furrowed. That didn’t make sense. Why would a clone…
He wouldn’t.
But then why…
“Remember Ninjin, You’re a Good man now”
Shit…
Shit!!!
“Shit.”
These were his friends. That Conri Lane, the one standing there, that was the real Conri Lane. That William Watson, the one so close to the many-times-stronger-than-he Invictus, that was the Real William Watson, and the real Frigid. His friends were really on Mement Mor, and here he was trying to blow it up. Killing millions or billions of members of the Universal Church of One, no problem. Killing three of his closest allies. That wasn’t something he found he could do. He would need to put down the cardinals quick and then get his friends aboard a ship bound out of here. Then he would deal with the church.
“Shit.”
Invictus released a giant wave of white-hot flame at Ninjin just as a shot rang out. Thankfully the rightful kings’s eyes had remained on the armored warrior, despite the gun-shot. It was not something that had the power to worry him, only the cardinal in front of him had that, especially now that he knew Conri was the real Conri. With a growl the crimson-warrior let the energy he was holding dissipate and he quickly flew upwards and out of the way of the giant blast. This was far from over, but he couldn’t risk his friends getting hurt. He had lost so much already, his friends were all he had left in the universe.
No throne. No Crown. His family killed. His people killed. His life terrorized. His friends were all he had to keep him going. William had helped with his change towards being a good person. So too had both Conri and Frigid. They were not going to die here. Not by his hands. And not by the hands of the Universal Church of One. They had taken far too much from him already. Ninjin looked down from where he had flown and saw Invictus had transformed into another more powerful form. Fear attempted to grip the Super-Saiyans heart, but he pushed it aside. He and Conri would be able to combat the creature together. He had sparred many times with the man he affectionately referred to as Mouse, and just knowing the half-Saiyan was truly there filled the former prince with hope. There was a reason that Conri had been crowned champion. And now they were both Super-Saiyans.
Ninjin stifled a cry. He hadn’t noticed at first, but the armored man had William Watson around the throat. Would that he could go back to when he thought these were not really his friends.
He reeled his arm back and threw the young Watson towards where Celeh was. Then the cardinals began to move. He would have to trust that his friends could look after themselves. They were some of the best warriors in the galaxy after all, though the church did pose an intimidating threat. If only he could get to all the church members in time and kill them, but then Invictus would be free to do the same to his allies, Conri not having the strength to hold him on his own. The former prince screamed and his fists began glowing with ki.
No doubt the creature would see him coming. That was not a concern. Two legendary Super-Saiyans were fighting against one of the strongest soldiers that the Universal Church of One had. This was a battle for the ages. As the crimson-warrior flew closer he would yell out to his friend.
“Conri, ATTACK!!!”
Then he would attempt to crash into the armored soldier.

Invictus the one that stood in his way of dealing with the entirety of the church was him, that monstrosity of a being. The one that despite all his experience as well, decided it was smart to be arrogant and talk down to them as if they were nothing, there had been others that made similar mistakes. Sure, he had the power to back it up, but there were two that were standing against him with the power gap closed to an incredible degree. The comment of no mercy ever being shown to the Saiyans simply confirmed what he already knew of the Church, if they weren't stopped here then it would be too late to stop them. The next part was simply a challenge to Conri, Invictus was so sure that no harm would come to them, was he? Well, then he would have to see if Invictus was all talk or if he could back that up with actions. The aggressive nature of his super saiyan form was overwhelming at this point, and he had little control over it as he began to lift himself into the air with his aerokinetic abilities. He was going to put Invictus' words to the test and see just what he would do, but if he didn't do anything the Half-Saiyan would call him out on it.
When Invictus launched his own attack, Conri used his speed to exit the area where it would hit and watched the hulking armor as to see if it would come in to attack them. When the Cardinal grabbed William by the throat, however, the aggressive nature of the super saiyan took full control and a dark smile crossed the Half-Saiyan's features. "Invictus, let's see how true your words are," he then leveled his hand towards the ground to where the people were all evacuating the buildings from and fired off three Ki Blasts. If the Cardinal actually was serious then he would jump in front of the blasts, however, if he was a veteran of battle then his experience would tell him to not do so. What would he choose to do? There were several factors to each choice and the Half-Saiyan was calculating each one himself to plan for each contingency. Regardless of his actions, Conri would then begin to gather his power, and channeling it through his hands to focus in the palms ready to be used against the Cardinal.
The answer to William's question had been expected as well upon seeing what happened to the ship that had carried Ninjin and the female Saiyan, but that didn't mean Conri would let it slide so easily. "For all this supposed true light you speak of, you sure do kill indiscriminately, kind of the opposite of what someone who follows 'the light' should do. Then again, that you think you're in the right for committing genocide really shows how demented your mind already is," there was nothing other than a matter of fact tone to his voice as he spoke. He truly didn't care what the Cardinal believed at this point, but he was going to make sure that he was forever out of the picture even if it meant that he had to sacrifice himself to do so. With that in mind, it was time to stop restraining the last of his full power as he slipped off his heavy weights unleashing the full extent of his power. While it wouldn't be equal with Invictus' power, it would make him much more formidable than he had been moment before, which was all that he really needed from the extra power.
He was done being nice about things, they had shown that they didn't care about life at all, and in turn Conri would stop caring about the lives of those that followed the Church. It was much easier as well with this new found state of power, it made his mind calmer about deciding what he would do and the things that he would accomplish here. They painted him to be a monster, so he would show them just what he was capable of as a monster, they created this self full-filling prophesy for themselves and now they would deal with the consequences of their actions. Opening his hands to reveal the energy that had gathered within them he unleashed the Renzoku Energy Dan against Invictus, but it was aimed that if he avoided it then it would rain down on the people below. The weakness that he had had before was no gone in an instant due to the Super Saiyan form and he would have the Church themselves to thank for him achieving this form.
Let the games begin, it was time to show the Church and everyone else why it was bad to underestimate the Half-Saiyan. Emerald eyes holding a glint of animalistic rage within it, he was following his instincts and they demanded no more mercy for anyone that he came across. (Blarg, not as good as I wanted it, but it'll do for now)

"Invictus, let's see how true your words are.”
Invictus did not need to look at Conri when he fired the three blasts, his senses giving him full awareness of the situation around him. The Cardinals had followed their orders and were taking to their charges. He expected each of them to protect the lives of Aon’s followers, those who did not would pay dearly. Being tasked with the guardianship of Mement Mor, the holiest place in the UCOO’s religion, was a duty of which he held the highest regard.
Opening his palm, three spherical barriers appeared in the direct line of each of the three blasts. The resulting explosions, still far above the streets, were enough to squelch the attacks before they harmed anyone. It was a test of sorts, that was obvious, but it was hardly such. With his weights still on, the half-saiyan’s attacks were hardly powerful enough to do any harm. Instead, Maneo had been looking at Ninjin.
"For all this supposed true light you speak of, you sure do kill indiscriminately, kind of the opposite of what someone who follows 'the light' should do. Then again, that you think you're in the right for committing genocide really shows how demented your mind already is,"
Again the Cardinal of War said nothing, refusing to even face the ‘Galactic Champion.’ With every word he could feel the boy’s anger grow, the fluctuations in his ki were unmistakable. Super Saiyans were always so quick to anger, a genetic fault. Maneo knew this well. He wanted it to grow. Anger was confusion, it was blindness evoked by emotion. The growing power in Conri’s hands told the Cardinal of what was to come, and given is previous attack, just who the targets may be.
Never taking his eyes off Ninjin as he scaled the attack, he said nothing to Lane. Unlike the other Cardinals, he often found it pointless to explain Aon’s glory to heretics. He likened it to teaching a handless man to shuffle a deck of cards. His other compatriots died because they dared set foot on holy land, only meant to be touched by believers of Aon; and so would he. Then things fell into place, patience of a type brought on by endless conflict rewarding him.
The half-saiyan shed his weighted clothing, revealing his full power, just as he brought his glowing hands forward. At that moment the Hattori loosened a yell as he flew at the floating set of glowing armor, fists set aflame in ki, while Conri unleashed a rapid fire volley of energy blasts aimed directly at Invictus, and the buildings behind him. However the blackness beneath his helmet never faltered, as if waiting for the prince to arrive. Throwing his hands to his side he cast a large spherical barrier behind him; though it was inexplicably open in the front. It would merely act like a net for what passed the Cardinal, though he oddly did not partake in its protection.
“Conri, ATTACK!!!”
He allowed Ninjin to collide with him with little resistance, before the saiyan unleashed a flurry of blows, impacting the heavy armor with loud thuds. A second would tick by, then another, as the energy blasts approached, meanwhile Invictus intensely studied the movements of the Hattori physically assaulting him. Finally he noticed the fighter’s rhythm and acted at the opportune moment. Reeling back to strike once more, the apparently defenseless suit of armor finally acted, in the most surprising of ways. Throwing his armor clad forehead forward he would strike Ninjin right on the bridge of the nose.
Breaking the nose, the intense pain which would follow, and the blood which would gush were all a momentary distraction. Regardless if the head butt worked as planned, he would adjust or move on as he grabbed one wrist, then the other, though ever careful to point them out and away from him as he did so. Turning just slightly as the blasts arrived; he would use his full power to restrain the former prince whilst using his body as protection from the volley of ki.
“Tell me Ninjin, if your comrade and you murder all these innocent civilians, will you be any less ‘monster’ than I?”
A brusque steely voice echoed from the plate helmet. Invictus knew how they saw him, how they saw the Church. While to the followers they were saviors, the chosen hands of Aon, to outsiders they were evil. They were monsters. But what did the opinions of heretics matter? Regardless they would be dead soon enough, followed by the rest of their people. This time, Maneo would take care of it himself. He would leave their moon as floating space debris, and kill off the remaining royal family while he was at it. No Hattori would escape him; he only wished he could have been the one to end Tsuyo as well.
Meanwhile Maneo’s angelic wings would attempt to grasp the saiyan’s legs and torso so as to better maneuver him as a shield. Invictus plan was simple, though vital. Divide and destroy; no Super Saiyan would live through the day.

Fists infused with ki collided with the armored hide of Invictus Maneo. The being didn’t even flinch, simply let the Saiyan’s fists bound off of him again and again. Ninjin gritted his teeth and put more of his effort into it. He was a Super-Saiyan damn it! Maneo seemed to be doing nothing other than watching him as his glowing fists continued to collide with him. It was eerie and unsettling, the way the armor seemed to be standing there doing nothing but studying him. Conri was… somewhere? But he certainly hadn’t attacked right away like Ninjin had asked. No matter. He was a Super-Saiyan and Conri would get the hint eventually to act.
As Ninjin was reeling back for another blow, Maneo surged forwards with his helmet and collided against the bridge of Ninjin’s nose. A sickening cracking sound filled the air as the cartilage and bone gave way and snapped. If Maneo thought it would stun the Saiyan warrior however, he was wrong. Ninjin had broken his nose many a time before, and had endured much worse pains than that. It hurt. Oh by the gods did it hurt. No blood flowed from the wound either, not until Ninjin spat it out at Maneo in the form of a spear. As his head was knocked back from the blow he would whip it forwards, adding speed to the blood-spear. It would grow thicker as he poured more of the blood that would have flown from the wound into it. At the same time Maneo moved for his wrists. The armor wouldn’t be avoiding the spear, but how much damage it did remained to be seen.
His gauntlet hands wrapped around the Saiyan’s wrists and roughly pointed them away from himself. Ninjin had a feeling he knew where this was going, and he didn’t like it. Not one bit. Sure enough soon Blasts collided with his back. They were strong, and Ninjin bit his tongue to keep from crying out. The giant metal man in front of him was asking him something. Ninjin actually had to laugh in his face, but through the pain it came out more like a bark. Through gritted teeth he answered.
“There are no innocents in the Church. You all wish the death of any alien that is of two bloods or any Saiyan. You are all a people of hatred and malice. Innocent? You know nothing of Innocence. I will kill all of you to save the countless lives in the universe that you wish to snuff out.”
The wings of Maneo wrapped around his legs. The metal man now had Ninjin completely restrained, and try as the Saiyan might he couldn’t break free. So much for Super-Saiyan. He didn’t even have the power to best this creature. Conri would need to step in soon, and with something smart. Or this plan was doomed.
(Sorry it's crappy and sorry it's so late. Works been crazy. Won't happen again. Unpause.)

It was a strange sensation this super saiyan form, the power was immense and felt incredible more than anything that he had experienced beforehand, however something seemed to be off with him. His actions were far more destructive and violent than he intended them to be, just what was going on with him? The worse part was that he didn't seem to mind his actions towards even the citizens of the planet, but what was wrong with that? What was wrong with crushing those that stood in your way? Especially when doing so would weaken your opponents? He chuckled at that thought, before he caught himself and stopped realizing that this form came with a lot more than just an incredible power boost. It brought with it the darker thoughts of his mind those that he had suppressed all this time, and the really worrying part was that it could happen without his notice. That frightened him because it meant he could do things against his will without even realizing it, and he would have to live with the consequences of those actions. His emerald eyes focused back on the fight as a few blasts hit Ninjin and within his mind he screamed for it to stop, the blasts themselves coming to a stop where they were flying.
His telekinetic abilities having been increased to unbelievable heights to accompany his other powers, he could feel his mind gripped around each blast thanks to the tactile feedback he possessed as well. Utilizing his aerokinetic abilities on top of his telekinetic, he created a wind barrier around Ninjin that would help keep the rest of the blasts from hitting him. He released the stop on the blasts, and instead guided them to move around his friend to continue on their path towards the Cardinal. Moving around his body thanks to the Half-Saiyans careful maneuvering of the attacks, it would hopefully catch their enemy by surprise, but he wouldn't stop his attacking their either. It was time for Conri to actually fight in the range where he excelled, diving towards Invictus, he unsheathed his swords preparing to fight in close range with the Cardinal. As he neared both Invictus and Ninjin, he released his hands from the swords and instead guided them with his telekinesis, sending them to cut the wings that held the other super saiyan captive while he flew overhead and aimed to rip the helmet from the Cardinal's head.
He wondered how important it was that his face remained hidden from everyone to the cardinal, and tried to use it as a means to get the Cardinal to focus on him. He had a plan, and he could only hope that it would work the way he intended it to, but it was a gamble that he decided to take. If it panned out then it would be on Ninjin to take advantage of the cardinal being distracted, if not then maybe he could at least free Ninjin and they could work on double teaming their enemy at close range, making it that much harder for the Cardinal to concentrate on them both. In the meantime his attention would focus on trying to remove the helmet of Invictus, just so that he could unmask his enemy and give him a face. Especially since it seemed there was so much in place to prevent that from happening as well, it made the galactic champion curious, and with his increased aggressiveness he would try to sate that curiosity now.
Meanwhile, if the swords had managed to cut the wings, the would be guided to attacking Invictus wherever his armor was the lightest, which meant mainly the joints. If they could cut through his muscles and the like, maybe they could weaken him on a whole and level the field for the super saiyans, another gamble but if none were taken then nothing would be gained from this battle. They couldn't just attack him directly, the difference in power made that a big mistake, but that didn't mean they couldn't fight smarter than their opponent, it was just a matter of what would work against this enemy. (Blarg, not that great, sorry.)

Bouncing back from the headbutt to the bridge of the nose, Ninjin spat the resulting blood at the 'face' of Invictus. However as it left his lips it took from, hardening into a spear before striking. This surprised the guardian of Mement Mor, something that rarely occurred of his vast lifespan. Blood magic? Never would he have believed the former crown prince dabbled in the dark arts. The makeshift crimson weapon entered the opening of his helmet, coming to a stop once is struck the inside of the helmet. Though the pain was not as severe as it would be for any ordinary being in such a situation, it was still present, though the Cardinal was well versed in pain and trained to ignore it. Reacting to pain were wasted seconds in the heat of battle. As it rested there, jutting out of the darkness, Maneo realized that he could not allow him to underestimate the saiyan.
“There are no innocents in the Church. You all wish the death of any alien that is of two bloods or any Saiyan. You are all a people of hatred and malice. Innocent? You know nothing of Innocence. I will kill all of you to save the countless lives in the universe that you wish to snuff out.”
The misguided youth spat through a clenched jaw as several of Conri’s ki blasts struck him in the back. His vigor was admirable but Invictus still considered him little more than a fool. An angry ant who no longer had a claim to the ant hill.
“Look down upon the women and children below who flee from you in terror; do you hear hatred and malice in their cries or see it in their tears? They have never harmed a saiyan, nonetheless seen one. All they see are two monsters who have come to kill their parents, siblings and children.”
Then the blasts stopped, Maneo sensed them halted in midair. Telekinetic abilities, the Cardinal of War was quite familiar with them. It had been used or focused in many different ways, and called many different things, but what was always key to its effectiveness was concentration. The ability to control wind was more rare, indeed, but not unheard of. He once crushed a Queen who could manipulate the weather with a mere thought. As the blasts redirected, curving around the saiyan body shield, the half-blood charged forward, baring two blades.
Using his full power, as he always did, he swung himself and his captive around in a circle literally using the saiyan to swat at the remaining ki blasts in one carefully orchestrated maneuver, causing a string of explosions. They were weak attacks of course, and would do little to truly harm the former prince, but he was set on showing the two “super” saiyans who they were truly up against. Coming full circle, Conri released the blades as he neared, once more using his telekinesis to guide them as he pulled up from the trajectory.
Bringing a massive boot up the Cardinal thrust kick Ninjin with all his might; aiming him directly at one of the incoming blades. Meanwhile Conri came right at his face, grasping the helmet at its base, intent on ripping it away from him. He would find his task, despite his incredible power, nigh impossible. Whilst kicking the Hattori, Invictus would simultaneously thrust a palm upwards into the chest of Lane, stopping just short of striking him to unleash Aon’s Nova; though this time in beam form. Concentration was key and thus Conri would be tested. Relinquish the helmet and just barely dodge the white flames of his master technique or redirect the blade away from Ninjin? With both things occurring at the same time, and with the blade and Conri being so close to the entangled pair, it would be feasibly impossible to accomplish both.
The other blade would find its mark however, severing one of the wings just as it releases the saiyan so as to allow him be thrust upon the sword. Pain was minimal, though as usual Maneo showed no signs that he was affected at all. The dismembered “wing” would simple dissipate, as the stump would begin to regrow until it reached its full length once more. Meanwhile, Conri had plans for the blade, only furthering the strain on his focus. It would cut back and plunge into his side, the flat of the sword being just small enough to enter where the sections of his armor met. Making no noise, the piercing would only be met with a blinding light emitting from within the armor, engulfing the area.
When they recovered from Aon’s Flare, Invictus would be levitating some distance from them, the sword still sticking out his side, immovable, as if gripped by something within.
“You will find removing my helmet no different then removing your own skull. My armor and I are one, bound together by Aon’s hand, as I am the incarnation of his divine will. Face the truth, you cannot hope to defeat an archangel of the one true god.”
Beneath the armor tougher than the hide of the strongest icejin was no sack of blood and bones. Buried within was the light of Aon, molded into sentient form and given purpose eons ago in the eternal paradise of the divine lord. Reaching to his side he would grasp the sword by the blade and pull it free whilst also grabbing the blood spear with his other hand, his gauntlets keeping tight grips as he did so. Invictus would then close the armored digits hard, which engulfed nearly the full length of the sword’s blade and the majority of the spear's shaft, shattering the weapons. The handle and tip would fall from either side as he continued to clench his fist, whilst the spear would crumble, his strength overwhelming the magic by sheer force.
Opening the hands once more, metal dust and crystallized blood would flow from his palms, the wind scattering it amongst the sky.

Struggling against restraints was something the former prince of New Vegeta found himself doing far too often, especially for a being of his strength. Still, Invictus was even that much greater than even he. He could little see what Conri was doing, instead forced to look at the face of Invictus. Or rather… lack of face. It seemed that there was nothing more to him than the armor. Ninjin’s blood spear had met its mark, and had vanished into the cardinal’s armor. Had it wounded him? It was unclear.
The cardinal replied to his remark. It was funny that one man’s ignorance was to another their beliefs. Regardless of women or children, their beliefs meant that given the chance, they would kill a half-blood, any half-blood, if given the opportunity. There was no innocence in that, regardless of age or sex. It was evil. And they were bred into it. It was not their fault, no, but for the good of the galaxy, for his people, Ninjin couldn’t let it go. Invictus was blinded by his beliefs, and his evil, that he couldn’t see it, or didn’t want to. It was not for the prince to try and correct him, but rather, correct the problem of him. If he could escape these damn restraints.
Invictus, with full control over Ninjin, batted the former-crown-prince into the remaining ki blasts. They stung, but he gritted his teeth and held on for the ride. They did little to do any actual damage him, but each one stung like salt on a fresh cut. Maneo would not get the satisfaction of getting him to cry out in pain.
The living suit of armor then brought his foot right into the solar-plexus of Ninjin, sending him spiraling away and directly into the path of a sword that Conri had flung at Invictus. With a thought he summoned his heavy-armor, and it brought him ducking under the path of the blade, with a hair to spare. Or so he thought.
A pain unlike any he had ever felt before went coursing through his body, and he had no choice. A rage and pain filled bellow was released, as if coming from his very soul. He couldn’t see it, but somehow he knew his tail would not be there anymore were he to attempt to move it. His breath came heavy to him, and his mind felt broken. Shattered. Distracted. It was hard to concentrate with his severed tail. But he needed to. His people needed him. There was no need to cauterize the wound, he controlled how much blood fell from it. Invictus got not a single drop. The prince would save that for when it was need. His tail was just another thing to add to the list of things the church had taken from him. He just hoped Conri didn’t blame himself for that.
A frontal attack hadn’t worked. That had been made brutally apparent by his shattered nose and severed tail. Another might cost him something more, like an arm or a leg. There was another go-to strategy of his however that might work in this situation.
Ninjin’s hands began to glow with the golden energy of solar light. An orb-like-shell of glowing ki appeared in front of him, and slowly blood began to trickle through the air from Ninjin’s nose and severed tail into the ball. The ball then too began to fill up with golden light. It was his ultimate shirishiri cannon, and it was going to kill Invictus one way or another. Conri would need to buy him some time though, he just hoped the champion had it in him.

His plan to prevent the blasts from hitting Ninjin didn't work out as well as he had wanted it to when the Cardinal swung the prince around to knock them away. Telling the Half-Saiyan that removing the helmet would be as difficult as removing a skull, but there were plenty of ways to do that as well, so he knew there was a way to remove it at least. The way would also destroy the morale of quite a lot of people fighting for the church, which would be a boost in morale for their own side as well. He had his goal, now it was just time to enact the plans towards it, and Invictus gave him the opportunity by underestimating the capabilities of the Super Saiyan that was before him. Instead of avoiding the attack or taking it, Conri chose a third option, using his own that he had prepared just for this very occasion keeping it a secret from everyone to make sure that it was the surprise that he hoped it would be. Ki channeling through his leg as the arm rose towards his chest, and he focused the aerokinetic abilities to a powerful new height, releasing a burst of speed that was on par with the Cardinal's speed.
Slamming his leg into the arm of the Cardinal, he used the increased power of his attack as well to instead attempt to push the arm towards Invictus' own chest and let him feel the brunt of his own attack. He could only hope his Champion's Cannon would work, the power of this attack allowed him to match the Cardinal momentarily and if it had been timed well enough it could catch him off guard. Moving himself back some to avoid being caught in the explosion, should there be one, he called back the sword that had been given to him by his master on New Vegeta; Brynhildr. There was a pain that pierced through his body when Invictus shattered their weapons, Fragarach had been the blade to reach him, but it came with a price for the Half-Saiyan. Not that he expected otherwise, but their opponent was still underestimating the powers that they each possessed in their arsenal. Although, in this case it was the power in his weapon as well, as while it did get destroyed it was a weapon that could come back from being broken like it had been. It would take a portion of his strength to do so, however, and he wasn't sure how this fight would truly go so it he needed to make a decision on the sword. Holding his hand out he reformed the sword, take a chunk of his energy to do so, and bringing it to his free hand. This would be his stand against the Cardinal now as he could feel the gathering energy from behind him, he would need to keep their opponent distracted long enough for the blast to get really powerful.
Rushing forward toward his opponent the golden Half-Saiyan charged both swords with the radiant edge technique, and would aim to attack the Cardinal's weak points even more. However, he would be prepared for the Cardinal's own attacks as well, it was time to take his close range combat abilities to the next level and he had a worthy opponent to practice against. Making precision attacks towards the soft parts of the armor, where even if the physical blades were stopped the Radiant Edges would keep going and pierce into the monster before them. Invictus mentioned that he was bound with his armor, did that mean he was the armor or that it was simply harder to remove the armor? That answer could help them beat the cardinal, so if it meant getting hurt then Conri would sacrifice himself some to find the truth of who the Cardinal was and just how they could beat him. That was why when he got close, he would also use his telekinetic and aerokinetic abilities to find out the truth behind just who or what they were facing, before he decided what kind of action would be taken.
It was time to find out what all the super saiyan powers were capable of as well, bringing them too the highest point they could reach as the golden light around him illuminated the area. Transforming him into a golden streak through the sky, as his swords moved for their targets, the first aiming for the same spot as before, while Brynhildr aimed for a different spot on that was close to where his heart would be, as he brought the sword up at the appropriate angle. If they hit their marks he would unleash the Radiant Edges on both sword to pierce through the armored warrior, but if they didn't he would release them in the attempt to reach their targets. Either way, he would then use his tactile feedback from his telekinetic abilities while also using his aerokinetic abilities to try getting an understanding of Invictus and just what he was exactly. So the half-saiyan could regenerate his sword? Full of surprises these two were. However Invictus did note the dip in energy output whilst summoning the weapon. Like everything in life; it came with a cost. After successfully dodging Aon’s Flare, Conri attempted to use Maneo’s power against him. He quelled the power the instant it had missed its target, thus saving him from his own white flames. But the resulting explosion from the knee strike which had followed a sudden, and momentary, increase in speed and strength had surprised him. This had been part of the reasoning for Aon’s Flare.
Ninjin too was more clever than the Cardinal dare give the heretic credit for. Summoning a heavy, inferior, armor changed the equation. Altering his trajectory so that the blade avoided him almost entirely; however the sight of the dismembered tail brought Invictus great satisfaction. Without words the two set a silently understood plan into action. The archangel sensed the energy beginning to gather within the former prince’s hands immediately. Before he could interject, Lane filled his own role.
“Ah yes weapons; my favorite mortal creation.”
Maneo stated as he held his hands out to his sides. In each a mighty axe would form composed of ki concentrated with so much energy that they looked like the sun in weapon form. As Conri charged the Cardinal would be waiting, matching him blow for blow. When the half-saiyan lobbed blades of ki from his swords, the warrior was quick to cut them asunder with his own masterful weapons. Charging through each explosion caused by their destruction, he would stay upon Lane.
“You want to know what I am Conri? I do not believe it is a truth you can handle.”
He could feel the blue haired warrior pervading him, the miniscule tug and pull of wind and mind alike sweeping about his form as they traded blows. It was no doubt why Invictus had been able to block his blows, though his impressive speed still left the Cardinal no time to go on the offensive. Regardless, his feedback would be something he could not comprehend. It would seem a being of living light which existed within the seemingly impenetrable armor. It was something which defied logic, and would leave the mutt with more questions than answers.
Keen on stopping the prince’s collecting energy, Invictus would press on, pushing the formerly blue haired super saiyan back. Empowering his wings, now bustling with electrifying ki, lashed out against the half-saiyan. Any strike would send a powerful shock through his body, causing a burn throughout every nerve that would make him nearly feel as if he was on fire. Continuing the assault on two fronts, Maneo would attempt to overwhelm his opponent with his axes. Unlike his body, clad in a thick, heavenly armor, Conri was a sack of meat and bone.
The Cardinal of War would strike fast and decisively, first for vital locations such as the throat or brain, before moving on to subsequent targets. He was no fool; the skilled combatant would focus on defending areas with lethal repercussion. So his secondary focus being necessary muscle groups, joints, anything that would inhibit his ability to fight and render an advantage. That was what he was created for. What he spent eons mastering; war, fighting, killing.
Should for even a moment the champion lose his resolve, the ageless general would lash out at Ninjin with his electrified wings of light. If even given a clear shot he would launch an axe at the boy with full power, intent on it piercing straight through the boy on sheer force of will alone. Despite his eagerness to end the infidels who soiled the sanctity of Mement Mor, Invictus silently noted that he had not had such a challenge for centuries.

It seemed that he would have a bit more of an interesting fight than he expected from the armor clad being, as two axes of light formed in his hands to prevent the golden warrior from striking his targets. Although an interesting opening appeared when he moved to intercept the two Radiant Edge attacks, and with that, he fired a blast of lightning directly for the dead center of the chest of the armor when the explosions triggered. It was time to test a theory of his as well, and with a thought Fragarach shifted its form into that of a warhammer for the express purpose of destroying that armor of his even if it took a while to do so. He had no intention of just letting Invictus do as he pleased, but coming up with options was going to be a long process of testing what worked against this bastard.
"You'd be surprised at what I'm capable of handling at this point," he stated in a matter-of-fact voice, he'd already been through a lot at this point in his life and it hadn't broken him. Besides the fact that unlike most others, he kept an open mind, which was the one thing people nowadays seemed to lack the most, that and patience. Well there was a list, but now wasn't the time to get into that, he would have to deal with it later anyways depending on how this battle turned. Even when he got a general idea of what Invictus was, it wasn't something that shocking considering he had an inkling about it with the first wound he inflicted. With Maneo beginning his own assault Conri had to focus on his defenses until he could find an opening in his opponent's attacks for him to retaliate, but he had to be careful and not take any severe damage.
The first thing that the super saiyan did was throw some of his spider silk to try tying down the wings of this bastard, since he seemed to try using them to fight as well. As each swing came he used his sword and hammer to protect his vital spots, angling the weapons so the axes didn't hit at with good power and used his muscles to absorb most of the impact that they did have. For the strikes to other less vital spots he would have his defenses prepared as well, telekinetic pushes, pulls, depending on the strike and using wind to misplace or throw the strike off as much as possible. It wasn't a perfect defense, given that he still had some good slashes covering his body and bleeding, but it was enough to keep it from being an overwhelming advantage. Though he could feel the pain from the wounds slowly spreading throughout his body, he knew that he had to stay in front of Invictus taking whatever he would throw at the super powered half-saiyan. The pain was starting to add up though, especially with the destruction of his sword being the first thing that hit him, unfortunately there was nothing he could do about it just now.
He just hoped that Ninjin would be able to hurry up with his attack so that he could try to get some breathing room from this bastard, plus he had an idea of what he could do to fight him it just required some prep time. Something that he doubted Invictus would be willing to give either of them voluntarily, and he wasn't sure just how much of these attacks he could actually keep taking. So he hoped that the prince had a means of doing some lasting damage to this bastard, being the one to take all the hits was not a pleasant thought. However, he did decide to try something of his own and swung the warhammer for the chest of the armor hoping to put a dent into it and cause some kind of pain or discomfort for this pain in the ass. Although he supposed that whatever happened with the next few moves would determine just what it would take to bring the Cardinal down.
He just hoped that they could last long enough to see all of it through, as it was they were at the disadvantage and it was already taking everything that Conri had to reduce as much damage as he could. Unfortunately, that was also tiring him out quicker than normal. (Sorry it's a bit late, hard trying to think of what to do again right away lol. Ninjin said I could skip him, so here's the post and Ninjin will be up next.) Champion's Cannon (1/3)

The energy crackled as it gathered in front of Ninjin. His blood had stopped pouring into it, the former prince careful not to use too much of it lest he die. The golden energy of the solar power in his arm radiated brightly. Smoke still billowed from where the ship had crashed into the building. There was no screaming however, no movement of any kind below them. It seemed as if the city had been evacuated. No matter. The planet was what Ninjin was after. The ball of energy continued to build as he watched. With a thought he dismissed his heavy armor. His severed stump stung, making him all the more bitterly angry at Invictus. His aura crackled all around him.
Despite himself the Saiyan prince was impressed with Invictus. The warrior was just that, a warrior, meeting all of their attacks head on much as he himself would. The thought of a similarity existing between the two made him shudder. All who belonged to the Universal church of One were evil. They harbored a hatred in their hearts that blacked even the most innocent of them. It was their very edict. Ninjin felt for those brainwashed by the members of the church, but their status as being brainwashed would not stop them from trying to kill Saiyans, or other half-bloods given the chance.
His actions were no longer about revenge. Through his struggle he had come to realize that what he was doing was the only action that he could take to save those he loved. Azuki… Would Ninjin ever come to know the boy? It seemed doubtful. At this point it seemed like he was going to die here on Mement Mor fighting Invictus or blowing up the planet.
His nose hurt from where the armored warrior had bashed it. His tail hurt from where the blade had severed it. His heart hurt… from all of it. There was a weight on his shoulders that hadn’t always been there. The burden of command. He was king. Rightful king to the throne of Saiyans, and also king to the Iblisians. When he returned to New Vegeta he would need to confront his sister. Neither would relent, and something Ninjin couldn’t even fathom would no doubt occur. War. After everything… Their people would not recover.
It left Ninjin in a very difficult situation. And here he was so very far from home, charging a blast designed to kill a world. A world that he was currently standing on. Mouse was doing a valiant job of fighting Invictus in front of him, but it was clear that he would not be able to hold out for very much longer in a one on one fight. Ninjin nodded. If Lane could hold out just a little longer, than Ninjin would be able to destroy Invictus with the blast he was charging, or, barring that, blow up the planet with it.
Lane would no doubt be adverse to that idea. They all would. But they would have to be made to understand somehow. The greater good. Countless numbers of lives would be saved if they destroyed the Universal Church of One here and now. Invictus needed to die. They all did. Each cardinal. Each bishop. Each deacon. Each and every one. Because they would never rest until the Saiyans were dead. And any who was of mixed blood. The Saiyan prince would not allow that to happen.
Not even over his dead body.

Shifting one sword into a Warhammer, an interesting choice he noted, the half-blood fired a bolt of lightning into Maneo’s chest as he began his assault. The blow would not stop, nor slow, him leaving the target area blackened. The timeless warrior would see to it that he regrets the sacrilege of tainting his holy armor.
"You'd be surprised at what I'm capable of handling at this point,"
The arrogant half-saiyan proclaimed, content on taking on the Cardinal of War by himself. Invictus would make him live to regret that mistake. While his deadly axes attempted to make mincemeat of Conri, the blue-haired warrior used everything in his arsenal to avoid them. Then he attempted to wrap the Cardinal’s celestial wings with some near invisible thread composed of his ki. Meanwhile the former prince’s amassing power grew. He could not let his murderous intentions see fruition.
Lane, covered with superficial cuts, ducked under one slash in particular that was meant to decapitate him, with help from his various powers, and swung the Warhammer hard into the blackened spot upon his chest. The blow found purchase and sent the armored behemoth flying back, though he immediately steadied himself with bukujutsu just a few yards away. There was the slightest indent in his armor, a gift from his creator. He was done playing around.
“Hmph, everything has its breaking point, heretic.”
Forcing more ki into his wings, they crackled and grew brighter before burning through the thread which bound them momentarily. Open and free they were ready to nullify any advance as the great general lifted a gauntleted fist over his head and opened his palm to the sky. In a split second a truly massive sphere of ki in the form of a white sun appeared; and he did not hesitate to throw it directly at Conri, and due to the angle, Ninjin as well. Reeling back and letting loose, he then immediately brought both palms out to bare and fired his master technique, Aon’s Nova, again though this time in beam form.
“I will not allow you to harm this planet or its people, fallen prince!”
The beam would collide with the sphere, increasing its speed and power, which was his full output of 2,050,000, and would envelop Conri, then Ninjin, in seconds. Unlike the swings of his axes, which had simply vanished into thin air when he summoned the first Aon’s Nova, this attack was not one Lane could use his abilities to escape.

It seemed that his attacks were at least working decently against the Cardinal's armor, and they would have to get through that armor to attack him directly, so he would take the small progress for what it was right now. The blackened part of the armor would serve as a point to strike at now, granted it was on the massive creature's chest, but that wasn't going to stop him, even if it meant taking some hits. They had to be willing to take in order to deal damage, otherwise this was going to turn into a battle of attrition that would not be in their favor. Still, he could feel the energy from Ninjin growing even more powerful than the Cardinal was at this point, however, it would be foolish to think that it would be so simply of a win. If they could hit him with that attack though, then even if he survived he would hopefully be damage, a shift of the tide in favor of the two Super Saiyans waging a war for the right to live. Even if they did win though, that would likely not end the fighting, unfortunately. If he understood Ninjin's intentions correctly, then they were going to be at odds after this battle was over with, assuming that they were both alive after it.
A narrow avoidance of an attack that would have left him dead instantly, he felt the impact surge through his arm telling him that he hit his mark and the give was from the armor as little as it was. That meant it wasn't impossible for them to take him apart, they just had to work together and keep focusing on a means of attack against him, for now it would be attacking the spot on his chest where both of his attacks connected. The distance between them gave Conri a bit of breathing room at least, but it seemed that Invictus wouldn't give either of them much time to do any resting either as he flew up higher into the air, and seemed to be readying his own attack while attempting to convince Conri that everyone had a limit to what they could handle.
"Of course they do, I never said otherwise, just saying you shouldn't underestimate others."
A smug response for his opponent, but he also quickly moved to Ninjin's side so that he could share his own strategy with the prince of Saiyans, plus f he could add even a bit of his own power to the mix it might help them even more. The fact that there were two of them meant that they could have an advantage if they could just really work together on taking down the Cardinal. He understood that the saiyan pride thing was a factor, but he hoped that if he was logical enough with it that his friend would see the benefit of not just trying to go toe to toe without using their combined power. Pooling everything that they had together would prove to be the most beneficial way to win this fight.
"Ninjin, I know you might think you've got this in the bad, but we need to combine our powers especially to deal with an attack on that scale. Fire your attack and then follow that up with another, I'll add a blast of my own to the mix and hopefully we can do some damage to this bastard. Anything less than combined effort isn't likely to be as effective, so prove to me that your word is true. You said that you don't plan to have Saiyans going to war all over the place and that you wish to help, so this is the big chance to step up. We lose here, it's not just Saiyans or Half-Saiyans that lose, we've got lots of other people out there that need the Church taken out. This is our first step to do that, so let's throw everything that we've got at this bastard and show him who the hell we are."
Conri would wait for Ninjin to fire off that attack that he had been charging, his hands lifted over his head gathering power for the first Ki technique that he had learned as a child, the Masenko. It was one he could almost always rely on, and here he hoped that it would be the same way, because the moment Ninjin fire of his attack, Conri would fire the Masenko behind it to push it towards Invictus' own attacks hoping to push them back. Hopefully, Ninjin would add another attack of his own to the mix next to his, if only to make sure that they could punch through the blasts headed towards them. Either way, they would need to pull out everything they had here just to make sure that they survived. Champion's Cannon (2/3)

Everything grew oddly peaceful. Maybe that was always the way it was before the end of everything. Peace. Battles raged all around them, and their contained more power than any battle had in centuries, if Ninjin had to guess. Theirs was the power to end worlds, and that was the exact reason he was there. His golden aura raged all around him. His shattered nose stung. The place where his tail used to be stung. His heart stung, but he was learning to block that out in the moment.
Invictus launches a blast at both he and Conri, who had somehow managed to find his way to the prince’s side. He told Ninjin that in order for them to best overcome the suit of armor, they needed to work together. Then he spoke of their former conversations. That Ninjin Hattori was dead. Died in the attack by the church. Died in the takeover by his sister. He was right in one respect though. They could not afford to lose. Too many lives hung in the balance. Even Conri Lane did not know the scale.
And so Ninjin launched his blast at Invictus with a roar, the technique having a massive 3,065,272 pl. Then he would fire another blast, the might of Conri’s behind his as well. It would be too much for Invictus to overcome. Perhaps they would all be killed in the crossfire. Perhaps the world would be. The attacks were on such a scale that Ninjin couldn’t have even fathomed until moments ago.
