The fight at Kami's Lookout had been a grim one. Carla remembered it quite well that she had revealed herself to be far more evil and devious at heart then she initially thought. Having taken on Alexander Luckens, Bear, Carmen, and Saito she came to find herself not in control her live anymore. Or less so in control of her life due to the goddess Pandora's possession of her. The woman in her past life had been a thief, a killer, and a destroyer of other dangerous clans of enemies in the time of Goku and with the legendary swords of Kusanagi (now lost due to how strong she'd become) she had taken over a small portion of the world and made herself out to be a strong, kind warrior in legend when in fact all she was looking for was a fight. Anim/Annin had been angry with her so in order to stop her assassination had been required. Someone killed her and though it ultimately seemed like she'd died Pandora proved resilient.
Now she was alive and well, not in the best shape having taking a beating from Kami's heroes, but at least Pandora could feel good about her host Carla still having the guts to climb down from the tower before her condition worsened. In time she'd managed to make it back to Central City in about six days (never knowing what else happened between Delshano and Azazel) and gone into hiding. It'd taken her another three days from her arrival back into the city to heal. One thing was for certain and that was that she had gone and exited her apartment and left no trace of her presence there. Her goal now was to make sure no one could find her so that she could properly train to reach the goddess' former level of power. It was the woman's wish and she intended to carry it out. So Carla silently slipped away from the city found a south bound bus and headed for the nearest port town.
At a place called Hook Village Pandora suggested they travel to the legendary island of Wonder Island an island not far from where they'd originally found the drunken berserk-er Bear. Carla agreed to this, however, she was sad to leave the main land because after doing so Pandora promised her they would not be returning for some time. Still without any other options Carla bought a ticket for a tiny rental boat with her remaining zeni and headed to a new adventure on the mysterious island where everything from kitsunes to giant flying bats lived.
The moment her small boat touched the sands of the strangely shaped question mark island she hopped out and pulled the boat inland slightly. Then she sat on the sands and took a nap. "I wonder what I can do now? I blame myself for my sister's loss when it was Pandora's intention to kill her all along. Does that make my sister good and me bad, or am I just insane?" she thought as she lay there for a good hour in a green kimono with yellow flowers. Her hair had grown slightly longer since the fight on Kami's lookout but it was still well kept. Carla had also grown a few inches from four feet, eleven inches to five feet, one inch. It had recently been her birthday over the time between the attack on Kami's Lookout to the time when she'd finally arrived on the island but she did not celebrate since her heart felt melancholy.
Her hands folded over her chest and she could felt emptiness in her heart as she thought, "I wonder what Kurosanai's doing. I wish I had a way to contact him. I really wanted to be his wife, but if I explain the insanity I went through just now and/or try to find him he's likely not going to want to see me. I have no doubt he's forgotten me as I've tried to 'defend' the Earth without him."
She sighed then looked at her hands tears filled her eyes as she thought, "I've gotten stronger due to Kami's good graces, but what good is my Dodon Ray. I'm just not strong enough to use it and I essentially stole it to commit evil? What's gotten into me. I shouldn't be using such a technique."
This was when Pandora entered her mind and uttered: But you should. A warrior is free to act as they please. You're just a little less kind then the ones around you. Now I know you hate to probably hear this, but I want to be set free. Please, I beg you. My pitiful existence within you is becoming boring.
Carla shut her mind off to Pandora after hearing these words. A warrior was allowed to act as they pleased, but they also had morals. Ninjas like her did to and since she'd accomplished her mission of gaining a strong attack she felt it best to rest. Although she could feel Pandora trying to tell her otherwise as she felt her toes wiggle against her control between her sandals. She didn't want to continue training or fighting now, but she felt she had no choice.
"Let me train at my own pace. At least let me use equipment to train," she uttered. Pandora was silent, but suddenly her head nodded against her own will and so it seemed Pandora was going to let her buy something. The only thing was where could she scrounge up the zeni to do that?
