The day before he would set out for the Omega Collective once more, he would take an entire day to train as much as possible so that he could reach a new level of power. He had invited the one person that he knew would push him beyond what he was capable of right now, and he was sure the man would be on the moon in a few hours. Before he arrived the Half-Saiyan wanted to get some extra training in on his own, so he went to the gravity chamber with his heavy weights strapped on. Though for some reason they didn't feel as heavy as they normally did, which was strange in his mind, but he shrugged the thoughts off for the moment. Entering the chamber he immediately set the gravity to thirty-five times the normal amount, letting the pressure wash over his body and instead of just waiting for his body to adjust, he wanted to push it while the gravity was at its full effect on him. The simulator brought up a desert area where he began to run at a steady pace, he needed to bring up all of his capabilities to a new level and that meant going back to the basics of training. The sand would increase his leg strength, give him better control while fighting on the ground, and allow him to do more than he could before this point. Adding more onto it, he had the simulation attach extra weights to his body to drag behind him similar to the tire dragging exercise of old.
It was a technique that offered an all around better improvement than just simply running or walking alone could, and it helped with one's balance on top of that. With everything set, he continued to job, trying to find as many hills as he could while at it, to make his little workout a complete one. With the intense heat, it hadn't even been an hour but his body was already starting to feel the effects of the workout with some sweat forming along with a bit of a dry throat. He wouldn't rest though and continued at his pace while looking across the landscape, it was pretty barren, and he thought about maybe adding some animals or maybe some extra ecosystems into the mix. If for nothing else than the added scenery to look at while he made his way across the stretch of sand. Although he did remember that he was technically on a timer for how long he could train on his own, so he did increase his pace by a fair amount. To help the time pass, he listened to a song from long ago that very few people knew about in this day and age, however it was one that he enjoyed the first time he heard it.
With that done he let himself get absorbed into the music, letting his body run on its own no while he sang along with the song. It was a good thing no one could see him, as they would be confused by the man running around moving his arms while singing to himself. After about an hour of this he was starting to feel the strain on his body, with all the extra weighted objects attached to him, it really wore on his stamina. Of course, the could have been due to the fact that he was almost going full speed by now, but that was splitting hairs. He needed to keep going if he wanted to be able to pull off some really good training before his 'special guest' arrived. However, he had enough of running through the desert, and wanted to move onto the next stage of what he would be training. Using his newly created wrist-mounted computer, he set the simulator for the next stage, taking him to a different area now. Though this time it was a more city styled location for his training, because the final part would take place here as well. Approaching one of the buildings the doors opened before he actually reached them, and entering the room. Here he would have access to the rest of the equipment that he needed for his training, and started with the weight lifting, wanting to get more strength built up for himself. However, he wasn't one for the massive muscle bulge look, so he took it easy with what he was doing and limited how many reps he did along with taking longer rests than normal between the reps. Not only that, but he changed between types of exercises to work muscles that normally didn't get worked so that all of them would reach a new level of strength. He continued the weight training for another hour or so, to let his muscles feel the burn. Wanting to get the most out of it while he could, because he knew that the next training session would be a lot more brutal.
When that was done he decided to take a little bit of a rest before he would move onto the next phase, and for that he had created an opponent of his own design. For now he would just be sitting against the wall with some water, relaxing and letting his body cool down from the workout that he had given it. Closing his eyes he let his body focus on just breathing to calm everything down and let it regain all of its energy. Without realizing it, he had fallen asleep as well, though it was doing good for his body in regards to gathering all its strength back. The time spent sleeping also let his body adjust better to the increased gravity, allowing him to better relax as well. Unfortunately, it didn't last long for him, his sleep being disturbed by another nightmare and an agitated sigh, as he lifted himself off the ground to continue where he left off with his training.
Bringing up the mini-wrist computer once more, he programmed in the file he had created to load up his simulated opponent. Which turned out to be a rather large robot, made to be about twelve feet tall, with a massive sword in one hand, and a body that seemed like it would weight the thing down too much for it to be effective. However, with help from Marisa about designing the body, he had managed to adjust that by giving it a powerful energy source and engine to use for speed, along with eight wings designed with the purpose to increase its maneuverability. That meant that it was more than formidable enough to give him a good fight, and he had a new friend to join him in the battle. Unsheathing the sword he had received from Masamune, he also immediately pulled out Fragarach as well, holding them both at his sides in a readied stance. As soon as he did the machine lowered its head to gaze at the half-saiyan as its eyes glowed a bright red before launching itself at full speed. Swinging its sword with incredible force at Conri, it was about eighty percent of his current power, but with its design it could utilize its abilities with deadly precision and power.
Letting his instincts react he lifted his left hand that held Fragarach to block the attack, sliding back from the sheer force before he moved in closer and swung with Stormbringer trying to test the thickness of the armor plating. The sword managed to put a decent scratch along the armor, which meant that he wouldn't need to add too much power for it to be a real threat to the machine then. His opponent noticed this too, though, and decided that it would go for a different strategy by taking to the air and creating distance between the two, before it essentially bull rushed the Half-Saiyan preparing the sword to strike at him with the built up momentum. Which was a pretty good tactic for the thing to use its mass and speed as an extra weapon, but Conri wasn't going to be letting himself get hit that easily by the hulking brute. Lifting himself up into the air with his aerokinetic abilities he felt much lighter than when he tried to use his psychokinesis, which was good because he was going to need all the agility he could get if he was going to deal with this high speed opponent. Instead of trying to dodge, he had a much better idea of how to play this game of chicken, and he had the perfect tool for the job at his disposal now. Crossing the swords in front of his body, he placed Fragarach in front of Stormbringer so that it would absorb most of the impact with its higher durability. From there as the machine approached Conri focused his mind on this next part and began to litter the remaining path with sphere of compressed air.
The result was that now that as his opponent rushed forward, there would be a series of compressed air explosions to slow down its path. Adding to that, the ones on the side would mess with its stability in the air and threaten to send it crashing into the buildings around them. Of course, that was somewhat farfetched though because it could correct its course with the programming it had. Still thanks to his main plan the speed was greatly reduced when they did clash, and while Conri was getting pushed back he was able to drop under the robots flight path and let it soar past him. Shaking his arms, he had absorbed the impact the most with them, and they were tingling from the power being it. It was his turn to go on the offensive again or so he thought until he turned to see his opponent facing him and charging a large blast from its arms where the hands used to be located. Great, another upgrade done by Marisa to mess with his head a bit, which was working right now as the blast erupted and as it flew towards Conri the windows of the buildings shattered from the shockwave that was preceding it. Without much time to act, Conri threw the swords to the ground to keep them from getting too damaged, and crossed his arms in front of himself to try reducing the damage from the blast as it washed over him like a tidal wave.
The kinetic wave hit him first throwing his arms open slightly which the blast followed through on and smacking him hard in the chest sending his body flying down the street before it descended and began to bounce a few times along the asphalt. That had been a lot harder hitting than most of the attacks he had been exposed to at this point, feeling the pain surging through his body. Pushing himself up from the small crater he found himself in, he had to figure out a way to make an attack that was on the same level otherwise it was going to turn bad for him before the fight ever really got started. He would need to stall for time though and that meant getting up close before it could get off another one of those attacks. Crimson energy wrapped around his fists as he launched himself forward with a burst of power, and accelerated his speed using compressed air. The machine wasn't stupid, he could see that much as it moved to put the sword between him and it, but the downside was that Conri had an attack that was powered up himself now. Probably not quite to the extent of that blast, but it was going to take more than the sword to stop his fists. As soon as his fist connected he could feel the metal give away a bit under his power, but it was only enough to cause a dent in the blade. That was more than enough though since he was now within range to do some more damage directly. Using his foot to kick the hand that was holding the sword up a bit, he followed that up with a strike to the same arm. It was better to test the damage he would do rather then get into a dangerous position without knowing if it would pierce.
His worry was for naught though as his fist pressed into the metal considerably more, which meant that he could go to town and do some damage. Flipping backwards through using the air to allow him much more agility and grace than he would have been able to manage before, he called down a bolt of lighting to rain down on the machine as it struck out with its own fist. Though it connected, Conri pushed himself forward the fist covering his entire head in size, he had to base his next move on memory of the dimensions. Throwing his fist forward again, he was rewarded with the satisfying sound of his fist striking the metal and hearing it strain under his power. When the lightning struck they were both briefly electrocuted before being launched separate directions. Conri could feel the blood dripping down his nose from that last punch and it caused a smirk, this robot was good in a fist fight as well. Rushing forward both combatants began to throw numerous punches at each other, neither trying hard to avoid the others strikes except for the occasional head weaving.
When they pulled back it was a bit of an odd sight, with Conri covered in bruises and blood, while his mechanical rival was covered in dents and holes that had pierced his armor. Though the one that looked worse for wear was the Half-Saiyan if only for the fact that his face swelling from the bruises which made him look much worse as well. As they were about to both go for another assault, the simulation and gravity abruptly stopped, with the entire chamber being filled with only the sound of the machines winding down. As he turned to see what was going on a familiar silhouette was standing in the far corner of the chamber. Damn it, the bastard had decided to show up early, like he wasn't already regretting the fact that he even called him. “What are you doing? I wasn't finished with that yet,” his voice was cold towards the other man, annoyance easily detectable.
“You called me to help train you, I'm not going to have you wasting energy and being too tired to properly train because you went and did something stupid. Now get rested while I prepare a real training session for you,” the man spoke with little emotion in his voice at all. Conri shook his head and walked out of the chamber, he was really starting to wonder if he had had a momentary mental breakdown to have even considered calling this bastard. Sitting inside a healing chamber, he let it restore his energy and heal any fatigue he got from the simulator. Closing his eyes, he let himself soak in the machine for at least an hour to make sure that he was back up to full power.
When that was done he reentered the training room where the environment had changed drastically to a barren wasteland, like something out of a post apocalyptic story. It was a strange thing to see, but he supposed that this was his old man's idea since this would be the training he was in charge of today. Something seemed different as well, because the area still seemed like a city, but the damage done to it was unbelievably destructive for what most weapons were capable of doing. Did that mean the damage was meant to be representative of his opponent? That seemed the most likely case, which meant that this should be a fun little training session at the very least. It also seemed that the stronger Conri became the more influential his Saiyan half became, at least in terms of excitement for fighting a powerful enemy. It was then that it would come walking around the corner, a being that was entirely black except for a lines across its body that glowed white. It seemed that it didn't carry any weapons either which meant that it would be a fist fighter or would use some type of energy attack.
Then again it was possible that everything was just a setup to lure him into a false sense of security with his observations and cause him to make mistakes. He knew the man behind the curtain was capable of at least that much with this situation. Cracking his knuckles he motioned towards the creature for it to come at him, and it did with no hesitation at all. Surprising for a creature especially if it was supposed to have the basic survival instinct, but he supposed that made it all the more enjoyable for him. The creature threw a punch at him and when he went to block he could feel the power behind the strike reverberate through his body as it sent him flying backwards. The sheer power this thing had was incredible, probably stronger than even Ninjin was physically speaking. However, it wasn't something that he couldn't handle either, and he rushed to return the favor with a punch of his own, but found that the creature was quite fast itself being able to avoid his attack. A slightly annoyed noise escaped his lips as he realized that this creature was at a slightly higher power than he currently was at which did annoy him somewhat.
It meant that whatever he did this creature would be able to react slightly faster and hit harder as well, but that was fine he could deal with this and maybe he could do something to take the creature down. In fact, he had an idea already, but it would take time for him to fully develop it, so he would have to fight it normally to buy himself some time to think things through. Rushing forward he threw a series of jabs towards the humanoid creature, watching its movements so that he could learn to predict and adapt to its fighting abilities. The better part was that he wasn't going to be holding back since it was a creation his father made to try and knock him into the ground. However, there were techniques that he still had in mind that could allow him to close the gap in power without increasing his power level. One of which was something that he discovered while traveling with the group of freelancers he had joined after leaving home. Rushing forward he clashed fists with black and white creature, pushing his weighted power to its limits without powering up any, to see how far he could go against this creature before coming up with a new technique was necessary.
While it was slightly stronger and faster, it didn't have much in the way of refined skill, that much was easy to see when it kept taking wide swings at him. He charged head on into all of the attacks that Conri through as well, with not watching which attacks were real and which were feints. That wasn't to say he could trade blows without being hit, despite the lack of skill the speed and power allowed this creature to hit him hard even through defenses that he had put up. The most dangerous thing about all this was that Conri was sure his father had even stronger things in his head to use against the Half-Saiyan. So he had to make sure that he ended this one in a way to prove that he was more than ready to take on whatever was thrown at him. Focusing his attention on the creature before him, he settled into a new fighting stance that he had developed for some more powerful opponents.
While it didn't seem like much, the way his body flowed with his movements, it created the sense of an opening in his guard. The truth of the matter was that despite the looks, there wasn't an opening where they saw one, instead it was a trap that was carefully laid for them. Only the truly skillful would be able to tell that it was there, and even then, the temptation of those even with extensive training is high. For an amateur like this creature, it dove right for that opening that was created, and was met with a solid elbow to the face. The blow sent the creature tumbling backwards like a rock skipping across water, until it hit the remains of a building. It stood up, looking itself over as it began to realize that it had taken more damage between the two of them, despite its superior power. The creature then began to stomp its feet around as if it were throwing a temper tantrum, which only caused Conri to raise an eyebrow in confusion at the creature. It continued to stamp its feet with more and more force, seeming to grow more in anger as time passed, but it all seemed off like he should be wary. At least, that's what his instincts were telling him right now as it continued its act, before it turned towards him with an expression that he could only describe as a grin since it had no discernible facial features.
Then it began to change its form, becoming more comparable to him in physique than it had been before, with two large antenna-like protrusions, and the wings it sported in its previous form were now gone. It seemed like a strange change for it to make, did it weaken itself or strengthen itself with that transformation just now? Well, it wouldn't deter the Half-Saiyan from dealing with the threat and he rushed towards him to unleash attacks against the creature. However, it seemed that it adapted when it changed forms as well, having learned some skill in fighting when it blocked his attack instead of just taking the hit. Before throwing its own with much more control than before, it was a jab without much power, but it was showing that the creature had learned how to fight better than before simply from changing. This was something he hadn't expected, but he supposed it made the fight more challenging at least, sinking back into his style he waited for when the creature would strike this time. The jab had struck him, but with the low damage, there wasn't much for it to feel accomplished about right now.
Although, he would soon learn that the jab had low power for a completely different reason altogether as instead of rushing towards him, the creature created distance instead. Raising an eyebrow, he was wondering what it was planning, until he saw the energy being formed between its hands and fired directly towards him. The strangest part was that his instincts were screaming at him to get as far away from the attack as was possible and as fast as he could. Without stopping to think about it, he followed what his instincts said and dashed to the side and didn't stop until the sirens in his head did. Which wasn't too far, but the fact that they had gone off like that, worried him as to what that attack had in it that was so dangerous. Turning he saw the damage that had been done to the area behind him, before he could try to examine the destruction, he heard the voice over the intercom once more.
“I'd be careful about getting hit with that, it's power is concentrated into that blast and gives off some pretty bad radiation,” there was a smirking tone to the explanation that caused Conri to clench his fists in anger a bit. That bastard always had a tendency to go overboard even in training scenarios and this time was no different, he was going to have to unleash as much power as he could to destroy this thing before it managed to give him any kind of radiation poisoning. Although that meant he had to keep close to it and make sure he never let it concentrate on that attack again. Poor thing, it had thought to try cornering him and making him less dangerous with its power, but it really didn't seem to have the understanding of Conri it should. Boosting his power level a bit, he launched himself forward with an incredible burst of aerokinetic force to close the distance in as little time as possible. The sudden increase of speed seemed to catch the creature off guard as it had tried to dodge backwards, but found that it was just too slow when a fist came smashing down on top of it. The creature's face impacting a crater where it landed from the sheer force it was struck at, and then bouncing right back up into the air where his left fist came smashing into it from the front to launch it backwards through sheer force.
He did have an interesting idea for dealing with this creature now that he knew what kind of attacks it used, although he supposed that the technique in his head could be used for several different purposes. He would need to put it into use to make sure that it worked, but the mechanics behind it would take some quick thinking especially for what he was thinking up. Granted he was sure that his father had something planned for any normal techniques that he might think up, so he had to go big for this next one. Something that he hadn't tried before, but would pack the necessary power to take down this creature and then some. Concentrating on all the techniques he had at his disposal, he forged the energies into a trident-like spear shaped from lightning. Pouring energy into it, he took it up even more by adding his very life force into the technique and creating a powerful weapon to utilize. He could feel the drain on his body, but it wasn't enough to weaken him to any great extent and instead made the attack itself radiate with that much more power.
Motioning to the creature with his hand for it to come at him, it started to gather the energy for its own attack now. Conri took the time to sharpen the point of the trident-like creation that thrummed dangerously in his hand. Not only would it carry powerful destructive power, but it would be capable of piercing through almost anything in its path. Still, he wanted to test just how powerful this new technique could really be and the only way to do that was to let his opponent fire off his own attack. Otherwise there wasn't much point to creating this technique as it would just be like any other, that wasn't what he needed, and it would only wind up with him getting taken out. To take himself to the next level he needed to be put into a situation where he wasn't guaranteed a victory unless he was willing to do whatever it took to win. This technique would be his declaration that he would be willing to take that next step into realm of power. Focusing even more energy into it, he could feel the pull of life force draining him even more, as he prepared to unleash an even more devastating version of the technique he was creating.
Meanwhile the creature across from him continued to gather its own energy for when they would clash their attacks against each other. When they each had charged up the energy they wanted into their respective attacks, the two combatants unleashed them upon each other. Conri threw the spear with all the strength that he could muster, flaring his power to add a bit more oomph to the throw. When the spear left his hand it became illuminated with all the power that was stored within as it pierced through the beam of energy splitting it off into two different directions as it cut straight through to the monster. It pierced his body and then launched further away taking the target with before unleashing a powerful explosion that ripped through everything around it indiscriminately. The downside was that Conri didn't realize just how powerful he had made the attack while waiting for the creature to prepare its own counter. Add to that the fact he was completely drained and he was pretty much boned in this situation, a smirk on his face he opened his arms for the blast to hit him. With the restrictions on the simulators lowered there wasn't a whole lot he could do to prevent getting blasted at this point, so he figured he would take it and go out with a smile.
That was until the simulator and gravity shut itself down, before the blast reached him, but that didn't stop him from falling over with exhaustion. He let himself fall asleep as his body was moved into the rejuvenation chambers that were aboard his ship, giving his body time to heal. There would be time for another round from his father before he would need to head off and deal with the unknown that was waiting for him.
It was a technique that offered an all around better improvement than just simply running or walking alone could, and it helped with one's balance on top of that. With everything set, he continued to job, trying to find as many hills as he could while at it, to make his little workout a complete one.
(Master Tech:
Indra's Spear
The full effect is that it is launched towards the opponent pierces into them and takes them further away before detonating in a massive explosion capable of unthinkable destruction. Channeling the power of all the energies that he has learned, Conri pours them all into this one technique to create something with devastating power. Ki, lightning, wind, and life force all contained within the spear which appears to be made out of lightning itself. This attack is different from the other life force using ones as it focuses all the power of his life force into a single attack, allowing him to unleash a truly horrendous amount of power. It can be charged to make it an even more terrifying weapon. The technique has also been infused with the ability to pierce through targets in its path.)
