Muneate felt a strange weightless sensation as she felt herself move from the Check-In Station of King Yemma to Hell itself. She could not understand why this was happening, but all of this seemed impossible to reverse as she suddenly felt herself re-materialize over a giant park with a red fountain in it. She felt gravity take hold of her, very strong gravity at that, and without a second to contemplate where she was specifically in the park she fell from its blue and white sky and slammed straight down into the dirt next to the blood filled pond. All around her trees sprouted, most of them being oaks, but a few of them were species she could not recognize. Her head felt groggy though as she raised it off the ground and stood on her feet.
"Ugh," she uttered cricking her neck from side to side and looking around, "So this is the land of the dead? It doesn't seem bad."
I wouldn't count on that you monster. A disembodied voice with a high-pitched feminine tone told her. Muneate looked around trying to find the source of these words but saw nobody except herself in this strange garden filled with a variety of trees she did not recognize.
"Where are you and who are you?" She demanded as she brought her right hand over her heart.
I'm one of the VICTIMS you ate! the voice screeched. Muneate suddenly felt a gurgling sensation in her stomach and quickly brought both hands down over top of it. Her stomach jiggled around and suddenly without explanation expanded underneath her hands slight before contracting reversing the swallowing process she used to suck up energy with her tongue or swallow people whole via her strange bio-essence extraction trait. Her face turned green as this energy rose up into her throat and caused her to quickly vomit out a blue orb of floating energy. Reversing the process of absorbing someone or something shouldn't have been possible but here it clearly was.
She stood there watching it in awe as the orb took on the shape of a pale, white skinned woman with a long black ponytail and blue gray eyes wearing a silver gray suit of armor. In physical stature she appeared to be maybe 147 lbs. and four inches taller then Muneate herself. She also had strange blue butterfly clips in her hair and a long white cape and on a belt at her waist had a long sword holstered. Her eyes were stern, agitated as she stood there and said, "I'm finally free... Cause... You're dead."
Muneate tried to think back hard on what was going on. Really hard and thought aloud, "If you're one of the victims I ate you shouldn't be coming back alive at all. Even if I'm dead I took away your life force and all your will to live."
"Seems you're wrong," the woman stated as she brandished her sword in front of her. "I'm more then alive, at least for now since I'm in Hell, ah, crud what am I saying I'm dead but I could be alive if I..."
"...If you what..." Muneate growled before cracking her knuckles."
"I need to kill you," Roxsenne voiced charging forward to swing her sword. Muneate ducked under the blade as it came at her from her right in a horizontal fashion and sent an upper cut into the woman's exposed chest with her left hand. Unfortunately, this woman didn't flinch at all.
"Welcome to Hell, I'll be taking your life," Roxsenne stated with a smirk on her face before sending her left knee forward to hit Muneate. Luckily, Muneate brought her hand up in time and halted the kick with the force of her hand's grip. She then slid back under the blade and Roxsenne's body away from her to make some distance for herself. Whatever was going on was not going to be easy to solve. It was clear to get back to the Living World Muneate would need to get past this obstacle.
Yet as Muneate contemplated how to do this another strange thing occurred. A young boy who was three feet tall and wore armor similar to Roxsenne's dashed out from behind her and swung at Muneate with a very short knife. He had blue gray eyes and a mixture of brown-black hair. His ferocity was no less then the woman's and the reason for that was something Roxsenne soon explained as the boy cut along Roxsenne's right wrist as a warning to her.
"Hey, nice job kiddo," Roxsenne stated with a smirk on her face. She gave the boy a thumbs up and uttered as Muneate stood there with her right arm dripping with blood, "This be thy son Simond. Do you remember when you absorbed me?"
Muneate shook her head no. Then looked down at him, "You definitely share a terrible resemblance to her you snack stick." The boy's eyes turned red with rage, but they weren't as bad as Muneate's who stood there scowling at her.
"I'll kill you quicker if you don't reprimand my son like that or call him names again, but to put this in simple terms you incompetent babe. Yes, you are a babe, since your mother stated something along the lines of you really having no interactions in this world. You are the one who ate me and when you ate me you ate him because I was pregnant with him. Now that he's here though in this world of the dead. Hell itself will not stop me from cutting you down to size and killing you in order to bring back-"
Muneate punched the air in front of Simond and connected her right fist with his face. She was tired of hearing his mother talk and ascertained that, one, they both died together when she ate Roxsenne, two, dead spirits like herself could take on a form they most wanted to that was in the limits of their power, three, these two wanted to kill her for eating them then escape and leave her in Hell to die. It wasn't going to happen. And Simond made this clear as he was sent hurling back into his mother's arms with his two front teeth knocked out." Roxsenne, being the good mother she was and not liking her situation one bit caught her son and set him down.
"I'd attack you myself you know but I was going to give you a chance to fight a fight you could actually win." she told Roxsenne as she stepped in front of Simond and shielded him from Muneate's sight. "Right now I can sense you're power and you are barely as strong as me when I died. I've been watching you deep inside my own body since we're connected now as one and I can see you have so much further potential which is one reason I want to kill a monster like you too. You will only consume planets and worlds without stopping until you're killed again and again and again."
Muneate lowered her fist and crossed her arms. For a warrior this woman was sure one to talk yet for some reason she felt she knew why. Memories they shared came back to her and she realized this woman was heir in line for some throne on that planet mentioned before by the King's Army. A planet they'd called Castelle and a planet she called Catalyst. "I'm sure the father, where ever he is, isn't happy you or his future son or dead."
Roxsenne laughed then answered, "Yes, he's not probably knowing Brandon. I'm sure you met him. Your muscle memory tells me so. I can sense it along with your ki via my advanced sensing skills. You got close to him. Then you blew up in front of him and failed. Failed! All that happened though because you thought he took your food! You, you are a child just like my son! When he wakes up you fight him I'll be making my own way from here to somewhere else in Hell."
Muneate rushed forward and thinking it was time to end Roxsenne, but to her surprise the woman disappeared in a flash of blue light and dashed across the park all the way to the other side of Hell deep into its deadly mountains. Muneate had no idea how she did that yet she stood there with her jaw agape and shouted, "Come back here!"
Much to her surprise Roxsenne did and said, "I'm not coming back here after this you knave. You must fight your son to fight me. If you want to revive you'll have to eat us again plus who knows who else to get free from Hell." Then she dashed off in a cloud of dust once more heading for the hills. This time though all the ground in Hell seemed to shake as though she trampled through it like a giant.
"Ugh," she uttered cricking her neck from side to side and looking around, "So this is the land of the dead? It doesn't seem bad."
