Ring~ Ring~ Ring~
Della groaned in annoyance as she found herself roused from her sleep by the sudden intrusion of a melodic ringing sound from somewhere in her room she knew for certain she had made no requests for ringing at ANY time in her room nor had she requested the staff of this building to awaken her at a certain time, both Della and Jenn were quite inclined to take as much time sleeping as possible, sleep was by and large not 'necessary' for a genie, it certainly helped immensely in the recuperating of energy and extensive expenditures of energy generally 'required' it afterward but most of the time a few hours of quiet meditation did the trick. While outside of the ring Della and by extension Jenn generally went the route of meditation rather than outright sleep and thus the few times that they chose to enjoy the treat that was to sleep and dream it was not abnormal for them to take quite a bit of time. INSIDE the ring sleep was incredibly common but for reasons that Della and Jenn could only come up with vague ideas of sleep inside of the ring was dreamless and MUCH less restful, even meditation did little to actually 'rest' the body which often lead to incredibly extensive rest periods inside of the ring sometimes even spanning years. Sleep outside the ring was truly a treasure and today that treasure was being stolen away by the incessant ringing sound.
"What in the nine hell's IS that ringing" Della snarled as she finally dragged herself up to a sitting position on the bed her hair a wild mess growing more wild by the moment as Della's fury caused energy to flow more freely through her body resulting in her hair beginning to float on end somewhat. "Mreh.. I believe it is the device to our right..." Jenn's voice chimed in sounding equally annoyed by the abrupt end to there rest, while Jenn was not physically active like Della energy expenditure effected her just the same as it did Della and as such she benefited from rest just the same as Della. "WHY" Della growled as she turned to look at the device that Jenn had indicated vague bits and pieces of memory flooding back to her about what the device was, she had a vague understanding of it from both her time at the castle and her time exploring the modern world since Kemuri's defeat. It was a 'phone' a means of conveying conversation with another being over (potentially) large distances. Generally speaking someone needed to have your number in order to call a phone however as she understood it.
"WHHHHY" Della growled once again giving the device one of her most fierce glares to date recieving no response other than continued ringing for her efforts. "Just pick it up already Della" Jenn said her tone far more of a 'whine' than she would ever let anyone other than her other half hear. Della let out another growl of frustration before finally rolling across the bed to get closer to the night stand upon which the infernal phone was resting snatching the device from its charging station in a swift though not all together amazingly graceful action "WHAT" Della snapped into the phone holding the device to the side of her head in what she assumed to be the correct manner, thankfully these phones were made with far more defined areas for where one spoke into and where one listened.
"Now now, no need to be so angry Jenny~" Della's expression fell from anger to dull annoyance as the sweet and strangely familiar voice passed through the device and into her ear, placing whom the voice belonged to took a few moments, narrowing it down was easy, very few people referred to her as 'Jenny' and even less of such people were actually alive to continue to do so, the voice was familiar but not amazingly surprising to hear which meant it was someone she had met since being released, and it was clearly a woman's voice. The narrowing down process drew the list of possibilities down quickly until Della's eyes snapped open as she realized who it was. "No?" She questioned the voice really only fit the quirky woman who had helped her escape Unity "Yes" Della sighed as she could practically HEAR the grin the woman had with that response. "How are you calling me?" Della questioned not entirely sure or particularly comfortable with how No had known to call this room to get to her "With a phone" Della clenched her teeth as her grip tightened on the phone only Jenn's rapid fire calming words keeping her from crushing the device.
"Sorry, I just can't help it. I.. I need your help. Things have progressed... poorly at Unity, it is no longer a particularly good idea for me to remain here and I was hoping to enlist your help in my escape as I aided you in yours." No said finally giving a straight answer her words doing much in the way of calming Della down significantly. "What's changed? I thought you wanted to stick around so that you could protect others that were trapped?" Della questioned, certainly she was more than willing to aid No, the woman had done the same for her without having half as much inclination to bother doing so. "Tsuki, the woman you 'fought' after you defeated the swordsman has been given a bit more reign over security for the main Unity building and in doing so she has discovered my existence, unlike Toiu who I believe was aware of my existence but simply chose to ignore me Tsuki has made active efforts to remove me and she is drawing dangerously close to becoming able to do so, I would like to cut her off by removing myself." No stated to Della who was mostly just sitting there listening and doing her best not to fall back asleep.
"How are we going to do this? I'm not already in Unity HQ to help you out so if we do this it would have to involve breaking IN and THEN breaking out." Della said with a small groan as she flopped back onto the bed "It will not be quite as dramatic as when we staged your escape. All I need from you is for you to obtain something that can contain a significant amount of data-" No then began rattling off a bunch of techno-babble that Della could not understand ultimately culminating in Della hushing her, she had taken in a lot of what No was saying and pieced together a vague idea of what the woman needed. She needed something that could store a vast amount of something that was not quite physical matter, occasional questioning on what the 'data' was resulted in MORE techno-babble but the babble held pieces of information that Della COULD understand. It was almost a bit like energy though expressed in an overwhelmingly different manner and it seemed possible though difficult that she had the answer.
"No, I think I already have something that can contain this data of yours. If worked properly I believe that my ring could do the job, it is a nearly limitless fountain of mystical power I can store within it anything I want." Della explained briefly then continued explaining further to No about the way the ring functioned eventually leading to a long pause as No seemed to mull it all over just as Della had just moments ago. "I think it might work, it might take some time to work out all the kinks of transferring myself to something like that but it might just work!" No exclaimed excitedly causing Della to pause in confusion "Yourself? I thought we were speaking of the data you mentioned?" Della questioned quite confused by what No meant "Ah yeah I do keep forgetting that not everyone is quite as clued in on what I am and you especially would have a bit of a hard time figuring it out. I am not strictly speaking a normal sort of being, I am what is known as an artificial intelligence a consciousness created by someone else with technology. I am a particularly.... 'special' sort of AI because I am partially based off the brain waves of a living person which makes me a bit more 'human' than a traditional AI. The reason we were able to meat is because inside of Unity I was able to project a hard-light image of what I like to think I would look like as an actual person." No said once again her tone telling Della that the woman had a wide grin on.
"I believe Anri and I encountered similar beings to what you describe yourself as, Anri had one as an ally of sorts in the security room. It was far less lively than you." "everyone is less lively than me" Della rolled her eyes at No's comment "Alright then we transfer your data into the ring... I am unsure how this will effect my dimension but I owe you much so as long as you are willing I am as well." Della said with a nod receiving a excited 'yesss' from the other side of the phone "I am, all you should need to do is get into Unity HQ I can handle the rest if I have this figured out I just need to get one of my hard light constructs into contact with the ring and we should be golden and at worst if it DOESNT work then I can direct you on what we would need to do, I'm pretty sure that the worst case scenario is you'd need to get the ring in contact with a computer and the front desk for the main office has one right there that I can get into." Della nodded absently as No talked already slowly dragging herself out of bed as she knew that there would be no going back to sleep even if No suggested that they perform this breakout at a later hour.
"When would it be best for me to attempt this? I would prefer a time where the building is least busy on the off chance any of those with signifigant power notice my arrival and attempt an attack. I may not hold any love for the more menial workers in the building but I imagine there is a not insignifigant portion of them that are unaware of who exactly they work for and even if they are aware they lack the power necessary to even mount the concept of a defense against the battle that would most certainly occur." Della said with a heavy sigh running a hand through her hair causing it to reform at her touch instantly changing from a wild storm to a managed state however as some amount of anonymity would be necessary today her hair rather than taking the form of her normal fiery red middle-of-back-length ponytail instead took a far more subdued shape a shoulder-length pony tail with a far less attention grabbing brown tone, the only 'strange' aspect thrown in was a a highlight of white hair in front. 'You just could not help yourself could you?" Jenn questioned with a hint of amusement in her tone earning a roll of the eyes from Della.
"Any time you can get here would be fine, I've got eyes on the majority of the camera systems so I'll see you coming in." "Then you should probably know that I wont look anything like how I looked last time, be on the lookout for a woman of average height with brown hair that has a single white bang, that falls over her right eye." Della said giving her best description of what her new form's hair would look like giving purpose to the quirk she had created for herself "And glasses" Della added manifesting a set of simple glasses on the bridge of her nose adjusting them slightly for comfort "Oh, alright then even better we shouldent
