The last few days had been rough. Saito could only hope that the wounds between himself and his brother would heal over time. Though they were not as physically atrocious as his reminders of Kemuri, they certainly ran deep. The brother had obviously been hurt by his absence and that was something Saito would make up to him. That however would come at a later time. Again he had to leave his brother, this time with a promise of swift return. He had several months to learn all of the techniques that Kaladar had to offer, and so he felt confident showing up at the lookout for a day or two, and then returning to the dojo to see his brother. He also had trainings with the Fuhrer that were entering full swing. With his schedule filling it seemed almost impossible to even make it back to the dojo. He would make it a priority this time, he had to. For now however the warrior thought. His bike moving swiftly through the tree’s and towards the Guardians lookout. When he had last climbed the lookout his body had been too weak to do so quickly, however this time would be different. The loud motorcycle came to a halt in front of the white marble tower, and with the intent to train readily on his mind, Saito began to climb.
His climb up was not arduous or challenging. It was not an endeavor as it had been before. This time it was quick. Even his heavy weights didn’t seem to slow him down too much. Without using his focus state he was able to scale the pole in a single hour as opposed to the day it had nearly taken him before. Prior to attempting the lookout he had not trained in any enhanced gravity, and this was the most obvious change. Earth’s gravity practically no longer applied to Saito. At some points he felt obligated to consciously think about not floating away. After nearly twenty five times the Earths normal gravity being imposed on him, the regular force just wasn’t of any consequence.
One problem remained. Saito had yet to decide his technique. The most obvious choice seemed to be the Dodompa. It was the easiest to master seeing as Saito had developed an almost equally talented technique already. It lacked the finesse and brilliance that the Dodompa demanded, but it had not yet failed him when he needed it most. The solar flare was another tempting idea. Being able to blind an opponent was a priceless advantage. Had he blinded Kemuri in their battle even for a moment he could have very well defeated him. The demon had underestimated the boy and so a quick solar flare followed by a spirit gun down the throat would have sent a very creative message. Saito shook off the thought, he would never be willing to so bluntly kill an opponent. He had decided to award the kill to the Fuhrer whose sword had been the killing blow. With that being the case Saito could still claim he had never killed anyone.
The final option was the Kikoho. From his readings this was often the longest technique when it came to training and study. Something about the attack demanded more than the average Ki blast. It was unique, and seemed like a clear last round pick. If he learned it last he could work his way up, channeling his energy through the Dodampa, expressing his ki in the flare, and then combining the two for a glorious final attack. Once he reached the top of the lookout however, his opinion seemed less certain. They were all wonderful techniques, and of course he would learn them all given time. So the real question was, which technique would fit his current arsenal the best. Which technique would he learn first?
“Master Kaladar, Mr. Popo, I have returned”
He felt a little strange calling after Popo as well. The genie was not his target audience, and really had nothing to do with his training with Kaladar. Ever since his encounter with Della, and especially having gotten to know both genie’s on a personal level, it just felt necessary to see him whenever he entered the lookout. Popo had a warmth about him. A wisdom that he and Della both shared in their demeanor and tone. Even if Popo couldn’t teach Saito anything new, he was far more valuable to Saito than that. Just seeing the pudgy little man was enough to inspire the warrior to give his all. It was just the vibe that the genie always put out. He would wait until he saw the Guardian, and then let the pleasentries out of the way. Once Kaladar had a chance to speak he would reply, getting straight to business.
“I have thought about my choices Kami. All three of your techniques, of the crane’s lineage, are special and will demand a great deal of attention. None more so than the one I have chosen. I want to tackle the greatest hurdle first. If you will let me, I wish to take on the Kikoho first. Allow me to learn the Tri-Beam”

Kaladar and Mr. Popo were sitting outside enjoying a nice cup of tea. Kaladar was waiting for the return of Saito, to begin the boys training. Kaladar was interested to see what one of the master techniques he wanted to learn first. They were all going to require a long period of training. Each one was a challenging move to master, even for Kaladar. As he thought back to his time learning them, Tri-Beam was the toughest of them all. Only few knew how to combine their life force into an attack. Kaladar learned this method, but has never used the attack against anyone. There is a danger using that kind of energy.
“Do you think Saito is going to return soon Kami? It has been a few days since we have seen him last.”
“Saito is going to come back Mr. Popo. He is determined to rebuild the Crane School and he needs these techniques to do so. He will be back, of that I am sure.” Kaladar said finishing his tea. Mr. Popo rose from his seat, taking both cups back inside. Leaving Kaladar to his thoughts for a few moments.
Kaladar sat back in his chair, interlinked his fingers and closed his eyes. The quiet was peaceful, he felt the cool breeze caress his skin. Everything seemed at peace, but Kaladar knew that it wasn’t going to last. Kaladar had heard the news of what happened on the Moon. The princess Akassa is now in charge of the Saiyans. So now there was no telling what direction she was going to take them in. Her father had been taken the moon for the Saiyans. He feared that the new leader was going to want more than the moon and the closet place was here. The Saiyans have never done anything to him, but he would defend earth from them if he had to.
Seconds later Mr. Popo emerged from the building and at the same time they heard Saito’s voice. He had finally made his way back to the Lookout, back to begin his training. “It is good to see you back here Saito Kito. Are you ready to begin?” Kaladar said rising from his chair.
The boy got right to the point, he wanted to get right to business it seemed which Kaladar understood. The boy had a long journey ahead of him, but he knew that Saito could handle it. Kaladar listened to Saito speak. It looked like the boy has thought about his choices and has come to a conclusion on what he wants to begin with. Kaladar stood silently waiting for the boy to tell him. Kaladar immediately knew what technique Saito wanted to learn. “Greatest Hurdle” was all Kaladar needed and as the name of the technique left the boys mouth Kaladar’s expression changed.
If the boy really wanted to try to learn that first. He was going to have a rough time with it. His body was going to go through some of the most intense training that it has ever gone through. Learning how to control ones own life force was no easy task. Kaladar really hoped Saito wasn’t going to choose Tri-Beam first, but it seemed like it was too late for that.
“If that is what you want to begin with then we can. I will warn you, that particular technique is going to but your body to the test. It is going to take time to master the pieces to fully use it. So if you are indeed ready to begin please follow me to the center of the Lookout.” Kaladar said making his way to the center. Kaladar and Mr. Popo were sitting outside enjoying a nice cup of tea. The shift in tone was not only heard, but felt by the warrior. It nearly sent a chill through his body hearing the way Kaladar spoke. It felt almost like a death sentence. The technique was rarely mentioned in the diary. While Dodompa and Solar Flare had several pages dedicated to them and their usage, the Tri Beam was one shrouded in mystery. Even the elders journal suggested that any warrior proceed with caution. He wanted to be cautious, truly. Now was not the time for that. After his encounter with Kemuri, and news of the Fuhrer's decision, Saito needed to begin his training at once. His weights felt all the more present as he began walking towards the center of the lookout, following the elder human. His strides reminded Saito of his own father. His parent had been feeble in movement, yet deadly in the arena. Saito knew the same to be true of Kaladar. Though his age did show now, what Saito had witnessed against Kemuri was anything but handicapped. Kaladar was truly filled with age, not just in his physical condition, but in his wisdom and art form.
When Kaladar stopped Saito did as well. He knew what was to come would require his greatest dexterity. He removed his jacket revealing a tightly fit undershirt. The black muscle shirt hardly covered his chest, and the scars on his shoulder shone through. At least his back was not exposed, that scar truly looked the worst. Second only to his face, which was at the moment covered nicely. Though the injury to his lip and cheek were visible, the destruction of his eye was covered neatly by a thin black eyepatch. Vanity was the least of his concerns. He wanted more than anything to get started with his training. He felt the presence of the wild untamed energy from before and unable contain himself he let out a subtle smile. It had been a long time since Saito had trained under someone and for the first time since Sekai, he would listen, and learn. His last lesson had brought him the spirit gun, but this one promised so much more.
"Lets get started"
He said with a deep growl. As he spoke his own powerlevel rose. He was entering his focus state. His already tightly bound shirt stretched further as his muscles began to enhance. His neatly trimmed hair began to rise as if the air were filled with static, and his eyes met the teal aura that veiled thinly around him. Saito wouldn't waste any time giving this his all. He would need every ounce of his energy and then some if he was going to learn this technique. With one final deep breath he met the gaze of Kaladar and nodded, awaiting further instruction. It was likely that the first thing the master would ask him to do was feel his surroundings. He knew this only because it had been what Sekai had told him. He could already hear the birds around them chirping. Though they did so lightly it was anything but for the mind of the training warrior. They were encouraging him. Some were actively fluttering nearby, while others had stopped by the well maintained fountain for water and nectar from the surrounding plants. Their essence was real to him. He would close his eyes and listen to them, as well as Kaladar as he spoke. There was more too it than this, there was another layer he had not yet discovered.

Kaladar turned to face Saito, the boys training was about to begin. He was about to go through one of the longest training sessions of his life. Kaladar was first going to have to teach him how to pour his life force into his ki. Then teach him the final steps to Tri-Beam. Learning how to manipulate your life force was going to be the hardest part to teach. It has been quite some time since Kaladar has had to teach someone how to use it or even saw someone using it. He has taught people in the past, but that was many, many years ago.
“I wish you luck Kaladar, trying to get Saito to use life force is going to be a rough task. I only hope the boy is going to have the strength to be able to manipulate such a force.” Mr. Popo said to Kaladar
“I am sure the boy is going to do just fine Mr. Popo. It is just going to take him some time to get used to it. I am sure there are going to be many failures, but through failures is how one truly learns. All of this is going to help him become a better fighter and a better protector. He is going to learn it the same way that I did. It is going to be rough, but I know Saito will be able to handle it.” Kaladar replied to Popo
Kaladar watched the boys power level rise and as it did, he made sure to match it exactly. “Now Saito I want you to take in everything that is around you right now. Close your eyes and try to feel every living and non living thing in the general area.” Kaladar said and Saito understood
Kaladar watched as Saito closed his eyes, no doubt feeling everything around him. Hearing all the different noises, the wind, the birds, even his own breathing. Kaladar wanted him to clear his mind of everything, that he was thinking about. He could not be distracted by thought if he wishes to truly master all the techniques. That is what Kaladar needed to do, so he needed Saito to be able to do the same thing.
“Clear your mind Saito, remove everything that could be a distraction to you. Make your mind an empty vessel. This is one of my true secrets. I believe that certain thoughts can be distracting, you need to push these thoughts away and focus on the thing that is most important to you. Focus on the reason as to why you are here.” Kaladar said
Kaladar would give Saito a few moments to take in his surroundings before letting him begin their training. They were going to spar for a little bit, Kaladar wanted to get his energy flowing, in both himself and Saito. Kaladar was wearing Kemuri’s necklace for so long, he wants to make sure there are still no negative side effects from removing it. “When ever you are ready to begin Saito, Attack me.” Kaladar said waiting for it.

What Kaladar was asking Saito to do was nothing new. His meditation had required such concentration in the past. He didn't want to seem arrogant, but clearing your mind seemed like an obvious first step for any training. It was the very thing that Sekai had told him to do when he was channeling Ki, and the same advice his father had given him when mastering a new martial arts style. A clear mind was simply not something he was unaccustomed to. He did as commanded, not stopping to question the guardian. Obviously Kaladar knew what he was doing, and Saito was in no place to question him. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, the effects took a moment to take hold. However as it always had, the thoughts began pouring in. Not his own, those were focused solely on the loud thoughts around him. The birds. When Saito had visited the forest those many months ago the spirit had taught him to hear the birds. Read their movements and communicate with them. He had never made the connection before, but this was undoubtedly the life energy he was meant to tap into.
For a moment the thoughts were jumbled, but after a few seconds, and an interruption from Kaladar, the voices became clearer, as though the birds were sitting on his shoulder chatting right into his ear. Of course the only birds were those located in the garden a short distance away, and they didn't make a sound, as if aware Saito was listening. Their thoughts were simpler than his own, they always were. The birds could understand much more than they communicated in return. Much of what they had to say was repetetive of shapes and objects. Food, food, food. One bird concentrated, watching a lone caterpiller atop a leaf. It didn't want to move too quickly for fear of giving away its position. Another seemed very focused on a specific shape. Straight, straight and strong. It was hunting for a nest for its eggs. The twigs and sticks from the bushes would serve as adequate material, though the robin would need to plant its nest at a lower altitude. These birds had obviously followed Saito and left their tasks on the earths surface. They often followed him.
His eyes shot open as he felt it. He hadn't made the connection before. This numbness in his shoulders and chest. When he concentrated on the birds around him, he had always thought it to be Ki, but this was different. He had been using life energy to summon them, to communicate and talk with them. It was why they had heard his plea even after his Ki was exhausted. It was why he could hear them so vividly even with his mind a blank slate. Feeling this energy and using it were two very different things however. He couldn't even begin to imagine how such a peaceful energy could be harnessed in a physical manifestation of violence. Kaladar requested he attack, and Saito nodded, his own body entering the fighting stance he had grown so accustomed to. His legs spread from side to side, and his arms rose to an offensive position. He would not speak during this fight. He wanted to maintain the brief connection he felt. So long as he heard the birds, he knew the connection was still alive. It was difficult to move without the robins thoughts becoming jumbled, almost like static on a television set. He could still make out the ideas and feelings, but without sole focus it was impossible to get a clear view.
His feet shuffled forward and the warrior began his assault. He knew the Kami was much stronger than the crane master, and so he needn't worry about harming the man. His right arm came first, the bare palm aiming for the guardian's face. He followed up with a left jab, this one also with an open palm. He had good reason for not throwing a solid punch. He could do a fair amount of damage with his palm, and be available to grab or counter any incoming attacks. It was important with a stronger opponent to be quick witted and swift. High damage wasn't the goal. Once his two strikes were thrown he would drop to the ground, his arms catching the ground so that his left leg would sweep out and forward, attempting to knock the man's legs out from under him. Kaladar was no novice, and it wouldn't surprise Saito if the man was able to evade his attacks. Even a single landed shot would be a success. His focus remained on the birds. After his sweeping kick and pushed off the ground heading backwards. This was where Kaladar would undoubtedly begin the counter offense. Defense was much easier to contemplate and still hear the chirping of the feathery creatures around him. He could even hear some of them focusing on his combat, as if invested in the outcome. It was the same feeling he had observed during his combat with Kemuri, but it was not simply the audience of crows, it was indeed a small build of life force energy. A force he knew not how to use.

Kaladar stood across from Saito waiting for him to start their spar. Kaladar was glad to see that Saito was listening to him and was in the process to clearing his mind. It was something that Kaladar did each and every day before he went flying around Earth. It was a good thing to do before each and every battle, life your life with no regrets. That is what Kaladar was always told growing up and he has lived his life to that degree. Kaladar stood silently as Saito continued to clear his mind and feel each and every life presence around him. It was going to take some time, but eventually he would always sense living beings around him, no matter how small.
Another couple of minutes passed by until finally Saito’s eyes shot open and he looked ready to fight. Kaladar just kept his eyes locked on Saito’s not faltering in the slightest. Kaladar would do nothing but wait for Saito to attack first. Kaladar saw the birds flying around the two combatants. They were nor there mere seconds ago, it was like Saito had talked to them somehow. Kaladar knew there was only one way that he could have done that, life energy. If Saito was already starting to learn the ability to use life energy, then learning Tri-Beam was going to come easy to him.
“I believe that Saito is going to have no trouble learning everything that I have to teach him Mr. Popo. I don’t think he wants to become the next Guardian, but I will still teach him everything that I have learned in my many years.” Kaladar said to Popo
“The same thoughts go through my mind as well Kami. Saito is going to be your finest student in some time. Do you wish to wish to start him with the training that we were going to do with Carla?” Popo asked
Kaladar did not respond to Popo, which in turn gave Popo his answer. This is when Saito’s feet shuttered across the marble flooring. As the first palm strike came Kaladar has brought up his left hand to block, he would bring up his right hand and block the second palm strike that came at him. Saito dropped to the ground and brought his leg out in a sweeping motion. This sweep would be successful, but as Kaladar fell towards the ground, he would twist in the air so he was falling front first. He would only be on the ground for a few seconds as he sprung off the ground, returning to his feet around the same time Saito did.
Saito was no doubt prepared for Kaladar’s counter attack, but it would not come from him. The moment the two fighters landed back on the ground. Popo would launch off the ground at Saito, hoping to catch Saito off guard. Popo would attempt to palm strike Saito in the side. When Popos attack was being executed, Kaladar waited until Popo was right next to Saito. When that moment came Kaladar would run across the ground attempting two palm strikes against Saito’s chest. Saito needed to pay attention to everyone in his surroundings, everyone.

He had landed one of his strikes. The Kami went down with the sweep, his legs making painful contact with Saito's well planned maneuver. His own body leapt up as the energy of the lookout shifted. His birds too felt it, their bodies shaking with anticipation. The air in his legs escaped as he spun on his heels, both palms open and primed to catch the genie's surprise attack. The energy between the two created a cracking noise as their palms collided. A few sparks seemed to fly as well, it was new for the warrior to fight with his life energy. Though it was causing no additional damage, it was undoubtedly present. A green hue had entered his eyes, and as he caught Mr. Popo's attacks he knew it to be aiding him. How else would he have known? Though knowing is only part of the challenge. His speed simply wasn't able to catch up with Kaladar whom had begun a secondary assault. Pushing forward with all of his might he hoped to put a little distance between himself and the Genie so that he could focus on Kaladar. He turned to his right, putting both forearms up to black, but he was too slow, his arms catching the skin on Kaladar's wrist as it cut through the air, and his palm made contact with the blonde’s chest.
His new boots slid on the tiled floor of the lookout, his arms crossing over his chest as the distance grew. He couldn't help but smile, wincing as he did so in a bizarre combination of entertainment and pain. It had been a long time since he had fought two individuals at the same time, and now that he knew they were both gunning for him it would certainly be easier. Or would it? He had countered Popo simply by feeling the vibrations in the energy that surrounded them, yet was still unable to block Kaladar's incoming attack, and his chest hadn't forgiven him for that. He knew that even knowing what was to come wouldn't be enough to completely combat them, nor would relying of his physical might. He could always remove his weights, though the problem didn't appear to be one that an additional increase in powerlevel would solve. His issue seemed almost entirely born out of his naivety with the life energy he felt around him.
Once his feet stopped sliding on the tile the warrior chose a different route. He had learned a number of effective techniques since his encounter with Kemuri, and he was ready to show them off. Both of his fingers pointed out in a manner that resembled the Spirit Gun. Though his pointed fingers remained at his waist, and his energy began to grow. It became abundantly clear that using Ki and life energy at the same time was more than a little challenging. Thankfully he was already short an eye, or he would have needed to close one in order to focus his attack. Probably the only benefit he had ever gotten from his handicap. The hands on his hips began to glow a light blue color as Saito spoke.
"Spirit Revolvers!"
That was the moment he let loose, jumping backwards into the air and firing his two revolver like weapons. Each finger fired a total of six shots in rapid succession. One immediately after the other. His right hand was aimed at Kaladar, and his left at Mr. Popo. Between the two hands he hoped to keep them on their toes. He was still figuring out how to use his life energy effectively, and learning more and more that having it and being able to use it were not in fact the same thing. His revolvers finished their rounds, hopefully hitting their targets at least once, and about the time the smoke had cleared from his fingertips he had ended his jump and was now floating a few feet above the ground. He rarely enjoyed flying, but height seemed to hold an advantage in a two on one battle. He could at least keep his eye on both of them.

While Popo’s attacks were met with deft hands, Kaladar’s struck true. The obvious challenge of fighting multiple opponents was the doubled output of attacks a duo was capable of. Even when resulting to normal strikes it was eight limbs against four. Such an advantage played out exactly as one might think here, the second attacker strikes hitting home as they forced Saito to slide back across the lookout. Prepared to continue their combined attack rush the two Lookout residents were met with an attack of the blondes own. He was smart to launch blasts at both of them, for targeting only one would have left him open to the other.
Multiple shots fired from his “Spirit Revolvers, shots aimed from each hand going towards both fighters. Put on the defensive the two twist and turn, doing their best to try and voice the blasts. While the due possessed years of skill and the speed that came with so much practice it was near impossible to dodge them all. Kaladar takes a stinging shot to his right thigh, sent tumbling as a result. Popo on the other hand takes a shot straight to the gut, his wider frame making it a bit hard for him to maneuver out of the way. Sent rolling a little he ends up on his knees, clutching at his belly.
Having taken less of a hit, Kaladar is the first to notice Saito in the air. Launching off the ground Kaladar takes to the air to bring the fight back to the blonde human. With bukujutsu aiding his ascent the older human leans with a strike for the chest before raining down blows on the other male. Even with his age Kaladar was quite spry, able to match most other fighters that came to seek his knowledge and training. That was not to say he was the fastest fighter around and that in some areas his years weren’t catching up with him, but he was plenty formidable in all aspects of combat.
Several more strikes came before Kaladar suddenly breaks off. Regardless of any blows he had landed or taken he appeared to retreat. If Saito was confused at all it might cost him as a wave of energy burst forth from below with the visitor as its target. Back on his feet below Popo, who had been feigning the pain in his core, was the generator of the blast. Telepathically the two had timed their attacks to work together just like before, the blast hopefully catching Saito off guard.
Pending a clean break from the human, Kaladar remains in the air as energy begins to gather in his own hands, preparing the next moves in the fight.

Two solid hits was more than Saito could have asked for. Each opposing fighter took a blow, and Popo actually seemed rattled by the attack. As he fell backwards however, Kaladar recovered. The elder warrior was quick and before Saito knew it they were in aerial combat. Clearly Kaladar wasn't using his full power, which Saito appreciated. At his full power he had held his own with Kemuri, a feat Saito was not yet capable of. Their physical strikes were met with near equal response. Saito caught the fists and elbows and threw out a few of his own. Neither one gained any particular ground, yet the birds chirped on. He was in mid air for a good reason, and so when Popo repositioned himself Saito did as well, rotating their combat so that neither warrior was completely out of site. This came at a price as more of Kaladar's punches made it through that Saito would have liked. Most of them lodged into his chest. The only defense against it was upping his focus state. His hair becoming filled with static, and his muscles growing to roughly a half larger than they usually were. When Kaladar dropped to the ground the reason why was obvious. Popo was launching an attack. Not only could he see the formation out of the corner of his eye, but he could also feel it. His life energy gave off a distinct signal.
His hands began to glow as the thin Ki redirection technique activated. It was not nearly as effective against more mainstream techniques such as his Spirit Gun or the Kami's powerful Dodompa, however against an unmarked energy beam it was the perfect defense. The Ki energy flew at Saito, who put both hands up to intercept. When the beam finally arrived it graced the thin layer of Ki coating his hands, and with a stroke of might the human pushed the beam off and to his left where the Kami Kaladar was charging his own attack. It had been a near perfect manuever and one that Saito had practiced a number of times. However it would not work again. The veil of Ki on his palms had all but melted away, and a bead of sweat hit the side of his eyebrow. A well executed redirection was not easy to pull off, and the now heavily breathing Saito needed a moment to recuperate. After sending the beam off to Kaladar, Saito pushed himself backward, gaining more distance between the two and landing on the ground. Flying exhausted too much Ki, and if he wanted to recover from the redirection he would be better off on the ground.
It only took him a moment to catch his breath, and his eye was still glued on his two opponents. Playing defense at the moment made the most sense as countering one would leave him open to the other. Popo would likely be his next up front opponent as Kaladar was dealing with the redirected energy attack. It was an unfair advantage any tag team held against a single opponent. One recovers while the other fights, and then they switch out. Saito had no such partner, and that was the point. Though he could not see out of his right eye, he felt as though Popo's outline was showing clearly even through the eyepatch. As if his life energy was an object that was not seen with human eyes, but rather felt. The life energy was slowly becoming more accessible to him, even if only to help him seek out his opponent.

Popo wasted little time as he saw what Saito was doing. In just a split second Popo’s eyes caught the faint flare of ki encase his hands. Dashing backwards to find some distance the genie watched as the human darted away clearly becoming exhausted at the fact that he was not ready to fight two opponents at once. It was going to be interesting to see how much he had learned during this training thus far. Popo knew better than to charge in recklessly as he waited for Kami to deal with the beam of ki now heading towards hims.
Kami watched as the beam bounced off of the hands of the one eyed human in a fashion now that left him directly in the path of the path of beam. Without so much as beating an eye Kami predicted where the boy was going to land, extended his two fingers forward at where he thought Kit might land and fired his Dodonpa at him. It wasn’t meant to hit Kit as drive him up into the air. If he happened to get caught in the explosion then it was all the better. Right after firing Kami’s hand shot upwards to catch the beam of ki that had been barreling towards him. For him though the attack was actually stronger than he anticipated as he began to be pushed across the top of the Lookout. His feet grinding as he continued to exert pressure before finally the beam fizzled out into nothingness.
Mr. Popo seeing what Kami was trying to do leapt into action. He would wait for the Dodonpa strike just at the human’s feet. Mr. Popo would disappear from view for a split second before reappearing above where Saito Kito was. He would pinwheel kick downwards with the hope of driving him into a defensive stance. Right after that he would continue to just keep up the pressure with punches and kicks. If Kit wanted to train then the best way was to never let up.
(Sorry about the crap post)

As Saito landed he watched his counter push the Guardian across the lookout, the simultaniously faced with his own dilemma. The Dodompa was quick, and Saito hardly had the seconds to jump into the air to avoid it. His Arms crossed in front of his chest, and his knee's rose as well. He knew this attack well as Carla had displayed it several times in her own match. Kaladar's was far more precise, and the target obvious. He had not fired the attack to wound Saito, though the warmth of the explosion sent a chill of painful burns across his forearms and legs. No he had aimed at the ground to push Saito up. Before the fighter could turn to make his counter he felt the hard heel of Mr. Popo take root in his neck. It was their first solid match of their spar and it hit home. His eyes widened and spittle flew from his mouth as the air left his lungs. For a brief second it appeared that Saito was done. His entire body going limp for a moment. Popo had struck hard, and Saito's body had not been expecting it.
His body quickly flew back down to the ground. This was when Saito regained thought and made his move. Defense was no longer working, so it was time to work the offense. He landed on the tiled floor with is left knee and hand catching his fall. The thud even caused the tile to crack in several directions, and with a deep breath, Saito disappeared. His body finally accessing the truest potential of his focus state. The next time Kaladar would see Saito would be when he appeared at the elders left, his own fist primed with righteous ki. He had used his Ki Dash technique to push off the ground and within moments appear across the lookout where Kaladar was. This put distance between himself and popo, and put Kaladar on the defensive, as his first punch was not his last. Throwing several more in a rapid fire strike, Saito aimed for anything unguarged and hoped to hit home. His right hand was filled with Ki, it was his righteous fist technique. His left however was barren and held only the strength Saito packed naturally. When the combination would finish Saito would use the dash once more to appear on the other side of Kaladar. Manuevering quickly around the older gentlemen he threw out one final strike, A punch with his righteous fist. He had avoided hitting anything sensitive for this long in the fight out of respect for Kaladar, however the two had made it clear that in order to survive he was going to need to get rid of any hesitation. The righteous fist was aimed at just behind the Kami's right ear. A sensitive fleshy part of the neck that would undoubtedly rattle the mind and hinder the senses if it hit true.
By this point it was likely that Popo had made his way across the lookout. His time advantage was up and Saito could feel the muscles in his legs begining to tighten. Another Ki Dash would undoubtedly send him into spazzes of muscle pain, something he hoped to avoid. He would instead push off the ground with his regular speed, his muscles doing all the work and helping him flee away. It was a hit and run that the Crane master was hoping would do some serious damager. His energy had finished warming up, and his body stood at full attention. His muscles had grown to twice their normal size making the warrior look even more gigantic than he already was. While a distance away, he began to rub the back of his neck, the spot was sensitive to the touch. Popo wasn't playing around, and had inspired Saito to act the same.

Even as Popo strike hit home, Kaladar remained on the defensive. The older fighter held no thoughts towards a single blow felling the blonde fighter and even when he fell towards the floor of the Lookout he would not drop his guard. Such assumptions were quickly proven true as Saito is able to catch himself, a knee coupled with a hand stopping him from hitting the tiled floor face first. The cracks spreading from his point of impact exemplified the amount of force that he had been falling with, Mr. Popo no longer holding back his strikes as they truly sought to test the man. A an instant later it became obvious that Saito was fully committing as well, his offense stepping up a stage as his body disappears without even rising fully to his feet.
Familiar with movement enhancing techniques Kaladar was not caught off guard as the Saito reappears to his left. Engaging with a barrage of strikes the older fighter throws his fists up in defense, not looking to land a strike as he focuses on deflecting those that were directed at him. Having engaged countless foes over his long life he often let his opponent throw blows without launching a quick attack, allowing him to discern patterns and tells about their combat style. Most strikes were parried compared to being out right blocked. Smacking aside a punch or kick was much more energy efficient than trying to stop the momentum of a strike completely. Considering Saito was larger than him, younger and stronger he was the perfect example of when it was better to parry instead of blocking. Several more attacks came in before Kaladar felt confident enough to throw back his own palm strike aimed for Saito’s chest.
Unfortunately that was the exact moment that the blonde male chose to employ his speed enhancing technique again, dashing around behind Kaladar. Although he noticed his error he was not fast enough. Shifting he attempts to bring his hands up to block, head ducking back to try and dodge the punch. The only saving grace was that the blow connects with his jaw instead of its intended target behind his ear. Still packing plenty of power behind it the blow took him right off his feet as she launched several yards through the air.
Saito seemed to have no intentions of following up though, creating more distance between Kaladar even as the man flew away. Even with his attempt to snatch a minor reprieve Mr. Popo would have none of it. No sooner had Saito begun to rub his neck did the genie pounce. Pressing the human physically once more he came in with a right hook, but the attack was a faint, the shorter fighter dropping long as his leg swings out to take Saito off his feet.

There was a recognizable buzz that came with the focus state. It wasn't simply a power boost, but rather a natural state of energy. Though it required a significant output to achieve, it felt natural once obtained. The buzz shook his veins and as the warrior rubbed the back of his neck he took a moment to really absorb the magnitude of his own energy. Saito was always impressed with his own growth. There was no doubt that he was coming along and every time he activated the focus state his confidence seemed to explode with it. The usually reserved warrior became slightly more outgoing in this form, and his willingness to speak during combat increased. That said, he still hadn't the words to explain the second power that accompanied his own. The life energy he had been pulling from his own being, and sensing around himself, was becoming undoubtedly clearer. The birds behind him were clearer than ever to see, and yet he was not looking at them. Mr. Popo's incoming attack could be felt as well and with a smirk the warrior turned to meet his opponent. Popo had powered up to match Saito's energy and so although he had just transformed, he was still no faster or stronger than the genie.
His first punch was a farce, Saito's choice of defense had been to raise his right forearm to block the attack that had never come. When Popo dropped to the ground his intentions became clear. It was the same manuever Brandon and Zeke had used on him in previous combats. It would be foolish to fall for the trick a third time and so Saito jumped into the air. Popo was too fast however, and the leg struck Saito's ankle on the way up. The adrenaline of his Focus State would attempt to mask the pain from the immediate impact, but his foot made a rather loud popping noise. It was likely Saito would need to apply pressure to his ankle in order to keep it in place, but rather than returning to the ground, the warrior dropped his palm underneath him, only a few feet from the top of Popo's head, and released his most powerful attack.
"Spirit Shotgun!"
By the time the words had finished leaving his lips, the ki blasts were already flying down at the genie. Five small Spirit Gun bullets, each one aimed for Mr. Popo. The last time Kaladar had witnessed such an attack it had been against Kemuri, at which point Saito had nailed the dog with nearly every shot. This was a rarity due to the sheer spread of the bullets however the distance between himself and Popo made it even more likely that one or more of them would hit, and each one would explode upon contact with the ground. His body floated above the five medium craters (that were so close to each other it appeared to look like a flower with five pedals surrounding it from an eagles perspective) and from this position Saito would speak. His own Ki energy was begining to strain, and this was no doubt because of his last attack. The Shotgun took a minimum of twenty-five thousand ki to pull off, and that was where so much of its power came from. Saito unfortunately only had access to half of his own energy because of the weights that kept him locked into the mediocre energy.
"How now will I fight with no Ki. Kaladar, show me how to use the other force that hums beneath my chest. Allow me to use that in my next attack!"
He of course meant his life energy. They had been fighting on Ki and physical prowess. The life energy had helped him manuever around the two, and ultimately kept him safe from Kaladar -though oddly enough his weaker counterpart had done a number on Saito's neck and ankle-. He had come to learn the Kikoho, and his life energy was almost visible around his skin. A shimmer mixed together Saito's regular teal energy, and the new light green energy, exuded from his flesh. As the smoke beneath him began to clear, revealing whatever damage he was capable of inflicting on the genie, Saito would keep his eyes on the recovering guardian, awaiting instruction or a follow up assault from either one.

Mr. Popo felt his foot slam into Saito’s ankle, but it didn’t accomplish what it was intended to do. Popo had hoped that Saito would be lying on his back for a follow up attack, but it seems the boy has learned some new tricks. Popo however did hear a popping sounds then connection was made. Regardless if Saito was showing it or not, the boy was hurt. Popo was glad to see that the pain was not slowing him down in the slightest. The boy was learning to block pain from his mind, a good skill to master. As Popo turned he saw the boy in the air, his palm extended, the words Spirit Shotgun ringing through the air.
Popo would have to time to move out of the way as the five small spirit bullets descending upon Popo. Quickly putting up his hands to block he felt three of the bullets slam into him, two had hit directly next to him. Immediately upon impact, the bullets exploded. Slamming the genies body into the Lookout. Obliterating the marble flooring beneath him. All five explosions had collided with Popo’s body. His clothes were tattered, both his arms were burned, blood running down to his hands.
Meanwhile Kaladar was just returning to his feet after taking a fist to the jaw. Grabbing a hold of his jaw, he checked to see if it was broken luckily for him it was not. Kaladar was too far away to do anything and could only watch as Popo was consumed by the explosions. Looking up at Saito he could see a difference in the boy. There was a difference in the boys energy, Kaladar knew what it was. The boy was learning how to use his life energy. He was close to understanding the power behind it, but Kaladar was going to show him first.
“Do what you must Saito, if you think you are ready then show me! Before you use it, I suggest you look over here.” Kaladar would yell as he brought his hands up making the symbol for Tri-Beam. Light green energy began to flow around Kaladar, combining with his white aura. It has been a very long time since he has used this move. The last was against Vector in the fight with the king by his side. Energy began to form in the center of the hand formation. It would be only a few seconds or pouring life energy and ki into the attack. “Tri-beam!” Kaladar shouted as he released the attack. Upon release he felt his body grow weaker as the life energy left his body. The beam white beam ripped through the air, straight for Saito. Saito was going to have to move, otherwise face dire consequences.

Saito had been watching Kaladar from the start. He hadn't looked back down to view the success of his attack. The double team efforts of Kaladar and Popo had pushed Saito to great lengths. His body was sore in several places and his Ki was nearly exhausted. His gaze remained on Kaladar. He saw even from that great distance the sign his hands formed. His index and middle fingers connected, as did his thumbs. The inside of his hands began to glow with white energy, however from the outline of his fingers secreted a light green. Much like a shamrock within a cloud the energy grew, and Saito felt its power. Kaladar's energy had been at the same consistency for the entirety of their combat, yet now he held nearly double of what he actually possessed. It was possible that he had powered up, but Saito knew that wasn't the case. This was the brilliance of the Kikoho. Kaladar's usual energy was accompanied by his very essence of life, a feat not only uneasy but dangerous.
He wasted no time. Even as Kaladar had yet to release the attack his own arms flew up in the same manner. His fingers and thumb connected in the exact same manner, and a charge of Ki began to form within his finger tips. When Kaladar released his attack, Saito chose a rather insane tactic. Moving out of the way would have made the most sense. He was a fair distance from it and could probably just fly up a little higher, or Ki dash away from it. That would not serve their training well. The entire spar had not been about running away, but about facing two unlike powers and keeping your own in tact. That was why he had been put against Popo and Kaladar at the same time. Popo was a quick opponent with much endurance, he represented a flow of Ki that seemed endless. His pursuit of Saito had been precise and much like the energy he held seemed to bounce back every time. Kaladar however had represented the flow of life energy. His attacks had been fewer, but stronger. Each attack Kaladar made put Saito on edge and now his final attack was the culmination of both energies.
His muscles had grown to twice their usual size already due to his focus state, yet as the life energy pumped into the palms of his hands there was an undeniable girth about his arms. As though the energies very presence had inflated them to an even greater circumference. With Kaladar's attack on its way Saito let loose the energy. A swirl of teal and green in which the green had overpowered the light blue. His own essence was in this attack and although both energies were of the Kikoho, Saito and Kaladar's attacks could not have been more different. Despite looking the same, and requiring the same process to fire, their signatures were unique, and as he fired the energy he knew that it would be a culmination of his efforts not just today on the lookout, but also against the demon Kemuri. His resentment and honor combined in a single attack and with all of the breath he could muster Saito yelled across the lookout in a marvelous echo.
"Tri-Beam!"
A pyramid of energy fired from between his palms and made contact with the one Kaladar had fired. The Kami had an obviously stronger attack, though the two exploded instantaniously upon collision. The blast was felt by all three individuals on the lookout, rattling the tree's and shaking the rubble that their fighting had caused. Saito would marvel at the site for only a moment before the repercussions of his choices took effect. First he found it difficult to draw in breath. After saying the words to summon the attack, his chest refused to inflate with the needed oxygen. It was as though he had been punched in the diaphram and had the wind knocked out of him. This was not the only issue he discovered as he witnessed the explosion from four different angles. His eyesight became blurred and crossed. Before he could identify anymore of the symptoms the explosion that had taken place only seconds before reached his body. The kinetic energy of the blast hit his body as though he were a plastic bag in the wind and thrust him across the lookout. Without the aid of Popo or Kaladar his body would fly over the edge of the lookout, and begin plummeting to the Earth below. All the while Saito gasped for breath.
Losing his life force energy was a difficult physical condition to maintain.
