It was a rather cold day to be trekking up the mountainous ranges of the world. But Rain was on a pilgrimage of sorts in which he was searching for a group of reclusive yet warrior monks. He'd heard rumors that they'd find you among these mountain tops if you were ready to receive training. It has been several days since Rain's departure upon on the mountain.
"You would think I would have been found by now. Surely I'm worthy to be taught more than what I currently know." Their was a rather deliberate shuffling of feet to the left of Rain which caused him to tuck and roll away in response. A voice managed to call out through the blizzard that raged on posing the question "And what makes you think we haven't found you a long time ago. And what makes you think your worthy of our training."
Rain only barely registered the voice before standing up dusting the snow off of him. As he stood up he began to answer the voice "I am strong enough to brave this mountain and withstand your teachings." Almost immediately the monk would cut in saying "Yes, but your heart is laced with darkness and pain. Such things are bad traits in one we would consider for training."
Rain simply stood their as he cocked his head to the left in a 'really' expression before attempting to seek out the monk's location with his senses. Every time he seemed to place the monk under his senses scrutiny; it was as if he would simply dance out of range at the last second. "So you came out here for nothing? You could have simply let me rot out here." It was then that Rain heard a rapid shuffling of feet and the last thing Rain heard was "Maybe your not as much of a fool as I'd originally suspected."
Hours later, Rain would awakened in a rather soft bed in a new pair of clothes as his own clothes had been thoroughly burned. On the night stand was note telling him that he needed to shower and be ready for early morning meditate to which he was of course already running late for. Rain sprang up from his inactivity and rushed off to start his day off.
His shower managed to fully wake him up from his after sleep reverie and it allowed himself a few moments to truly reflect on the start of his new life. Stepping out the shower; where he quickly dried and dressed himself before racing off to find the meditation area. It was not that hard to find at all as a place full of vague symbols with a huge waterfall view would more in likely the meditation room and when he only found one man to inhabit it's halls he knew that to be true.
"Welcome now join me for a moment to meditate." Rain considered asking himself what should he meditate on but he figured that petulance would not grant him what he wanted. Rain sat down on the ground as the winds slightly picked up. The older and taller monk began to speak "Imagine yourself as one among the wind floating about. You have no interest in where you will land but only in the journey that will take place." Rain's breathing began to slow as he began to truly calm his thoughts and body.
In truth that is all Rain needed as the 'magic' of the meditation room began to take over. The world began to fall away and it was replaced with the sight of a Saiyan man and a Kagami woman walking along the fields. For some reason Rain could just feel that whatever he was viewing was still on earth. And then running into a view was a rather young Rain running into his mother's arm. His father warned her to stop babying him but she would have nothing of it as she played with her son in her arms.
However, the scene was literally blown away and replaced with images of Saiyan slavers stomping upon their families home and the death of his father. Weirdly enough, he never witnessed his mother's death but did not have enough time to realize it fully as he began to witness his own enslavement. Rage began to course through his body and it had a physical manifestation on his body by causing his aura to visibly spike. Rain envisioned himself slaughtering the Saiyan's who killed his parents.
It was then that another question was asked of Rain. A mock view of three seemingly faceless Saiyans stood before him in the execution position. Rain felt the burning embers of his rage only light once more upon viewing their bodies. Rain readied himself to end all of them but he hesitated for a few moments. The intellectual side of him did not think the monk wanted a murderer as a student and if he killed these people then that's all he'd be.
Instead, he choose to withdraw as he allowed his energies to subside as he began to meditate within a dream. It took a few moments but the visions of Saiyans and Kagami enslavement slowly drifted from his thoughts and finally he was alone. A white light shined and replacing the light was the outlining figure of the monk. As he fully came into view; he seemed to be rather pleased with himself and Rain for passing the test.
Rain gave the man a wary smile before saying "It's kind of rude for a monk to just barge into my dreams isn't it? And the hallucinogens used to put me under? I don't suppose that simply grows around the temple does it?" To which the monk merely gave him a offhand smile that said that just because he was a monk; does not mean that he's completely pure. However, Rain also understood that they simply weren't trying to have their techniques fall into the hands of someone who will use them against the Earth.
Rain may not too much care for other people but currently he lived on Earth so until he found a better place to live; he intended to keep Earth alive. The monk then nodded once more before saying "Come it's time to begin your training." To which Rain offered a puzzled look thinking that he'd already started his training but apparently Rain was in the wrong.
