Lupin IV - Lupine System
A habitable world quite similar to Earth in size and diverse biomes. The planet rotates very slowly on its axis, causing long hot days and cold nights. A relatively small axial tilt makes for a stable, predictable climate. A majority of the small planet is typified by large continents and open grassland regions. The most renowned are Avalon and Whitewater. From the outside, the planet is mostly red and blue with white clouds. Rings orbit around said planet, together, casting waves almost as potent as those on Earth. There are two far away stars perfectly positioned to provide enough heat for life to exist. It is the fourth and last planet in a dying solar system dubbed the Lupine System.
-History-
Lupin IV, as the name suggests, is the fourth member planet of a chain of planets in the Lupine System. The residents used to live in separate planets, Lupin I, II, and III. However, they were practically neighbors and had grown very aggressive towards each other. Centuries of conflict and war exist between them which has almost brought about their extinction more than twice. Their reckless behavior and constant fighting caused the destruction of their respective planets and forced them to coexist on Lupin IV –the last remaining planet of the Lupine System. The races signed a treaty to divide the land, agreeing that they could not afford to lose this planet. As a result, The Great Wall was built, but there was never truly peace. West of The Great Wall, the konatsians were ruled and enslaved by the biseijin. Meanwhile, on the East, there was no real authoritative figure, hurling the land into a state of anarchy. The Moujuujin lived in an isolated corner of the planet as an attempt to escape conflict, although it was cold and lonely. After the big war with Zero’s arrival and Plation’s glorified sacrifice, The Great Wall had been torn down and the masses united by the fallen hero. Ivan took advantage of the opportunity and ingrained himself into their system as their sole and benevolent ruler and Model Zero as their knight; conveying false propaganda which claims them as Plation’s would be successors.
-Locations-
Avalon
A region with vast grasslands that span for miles. It is mostly characterized by the grass’ distinct red color. There are many villages scattered across the landscape. They each use wells as their source of water, and although they farm, most of their produce are imported from Whitewater. Konatsians are prominent in this region.
- The City of Avalon
- Fighting Arena
Whitewater
An agricultural colony, with large farms covering a considerable amount of its surface. The farms are managed by a high degree of automation, requiring minimal human labor. Nevertheless, it has a large population, localized in several large cities –although none worth mentioning- catering for the manufacturing demands of the planets vast agricultural industry. In an equatorial rainforest region, a large city also produces pharmaceuticals, harvesting many varied plant species from the surrounding jungles. Although the grass retains its red color from Avalon, it is more varied in color. Rivers, streams, lakes, waterfalls, Whitewater has it all. Most of its population consists of The Hera, and although the region was once riddled with anarchy, they have accepted their new ruler. East of the Great Wall remains. Drones fly around to maintain and harvest crops.
- Elven Forest
Mount Hielo
An isolated island with cold mountain ranges. It used to be home to the Moujuujin before The Great War, but they have now moved out and joined the motherland. The lifeless island is now used for mining operations. Island to the North of Whitewater.
- Ona's Laboratory
Lupin Space Station
Spaceport orbiting the planet and controlling the arrival of foreign spacecraft. Arriving vehicles are ordered to stand by and orbit the planet until they are cleared to enter and land. Vehicles that attempt to bypass the station are captured by large nets and brought inside, while those who escape into the atmosphere are prosecuted. There are select docking stations on the planet’s surface designed for impact with celestial vessels. Harming their land with an irresponsible crash-land yields a hefty fine of 1000z [IC]. The Space Station itself is meant as a jail for high rank criminals and as a base for military operations. It rotates around its core, creating artificial gravity.
-Residents-
- Biseijin
- Konatsian
- The Hera
- Moujuujin
-General-
Overall, the planet is inhabited by three major races; Konatsians, Moujuujin, and The Hera. Ever since The Great Wall was demolished, they have been free to mingle, so it is not unlikely to find them outside of their known region. Moujuujin are, by far, the most nomadic race. They seem to travel in groups and migrate wherever the wind takes them. There are still heretics who have not overcome their far-reaching history of conflict with the other races, including surviving Biseijin from the war that perform acts of terrorism all across the globe. At last, the planet has many alien races sprinkled over cities, towns, and villages.
