Time had passed since Maya's second venture into the strange world within the simulator, countless hours had been spent working away at the system, everything from the hard connections it had to various palace systems, to the internal coding but no solid results had come from it. Ideas were few in number and shrinking with mass with each day that passed by, soon nothing of her knowledge would be useful in understanding this matter which she faced. All angles, every single side had been looked over, even going as far to look out side the normal realms of reason a strong conclusion of what was happening could not be found. She was stumped; never before had something of such a nature become so complex to puzzle her to this state, it was maddening!... at the same time... she loved it. Nothing before was like this, and that's where the thrill came from, everything before was straight forwards; do this, do that and the conclusion was plastered there before her with ease. This, this was something new, fresh something which a simple press of a button would not fix but time and effort needed to be applied in order to find cause behind the effects. No matter what, she would unlock the reasons as to why the machine was acting like it was, because some unknown force was having a hand in this, it had been felt... last time. Like a whisper in her ear a hand griped on her arm it had not wanted her to leave, either she had gotten lucky that time around... or... she didn't know what.
While the days ticked by Maya knew she must wait, her current form was perfectly healthy as far as the standards for mechanisms went but her other form; her other self, was not quite in the same boat as she was. The battle with the beast had left her rather wounded, enough so that even a gentle wind could break her down to her knees; organic bodies were horrifically inconvenient, always needing to rest, eat and that disgusting habit of releasing their wastes. With such little knowledge of a human form Maya spent the waiting days researching; spread across various subjects had made it difficult to pinpoint exactly what it was that she read over but the generalization was medical in the nature of her search. After taking one to many blows it had peaked Maya interest to better understand organic physiology; given how quickly she was injured perhaps next time she would be able to tend to her own wounds rather than relying on another to stitch her up anew. There was however a darker reason for why she was doing this, while repairing herself was useful, its only use appeared to be in a world in which it was needed; here, in Akassa's palace, this realm any wounds that occurred on her person were superficial, they caused no pain nor blood, there would be no healing required here. No, organics had vitals, weaknesses, points were death could become instant if hit with enough force and precession; Maya knew that under Akassa's command fighting would be required, and removing foes with a haste would only further Akassa's cause.
Ping. Ping.
The all to familiar noise echoed within her mind, once again the timer had counted down to the last second and Maya knew it was time; though there was still some disdain towards the world which she was about to venture to Maya understood it was for the best; to unlock something which eluted her grasp, dissect the world piece by piece and find understanding of it, once and for all.

"Make it...go away...."
Maya's groaning voice filled the room.
Having awoken once again in this strange world the pain was the first thing to come flooding back to her body even before the sounds around made a connect with Mayas mind. Breathing softly Maya lay there for a few minutes to let her body become familiar with the senses around her, it was then that she noticed it; the pain, while it still sent aches through her frame with every breath she took it was lessened, at least to her recollection which was never wrong. Slow to start the blinding light from a nearby window shimmering in Maya's eyes causing her to flip away from its intensity; where she was it was not where she laid before. From what small sliver that had been seen in those few seconds Maya noticed that the room had changed, or more of her position had since she last recalled; no longer was there a dinky splintered nightstand at her side but now a large oak dresser, though it appeared old it was but a finish, adding a illustrious age to its wooden style. The clock from before could be heard now much clear than before while she had not actually seen it the oscillating rhythmic ticks now it sounded as though it was but a few feet away, but fearing another blinding blast of light Maya dared not to look once again.
"Hate... is not something I know well... but light, is something I hate."
Maya sighed gently under her breath, with her strength returned to a point where the pain wasn't crippling it wouldn't be long before she would have to get up. Organics were lazy; Maya had come to learn this as a fact from this new form, her mind yearned to move about while her body wished to lay there like a snail hiding in its shell.
"Lazy bag of flesh."
It was slow going at first; just how long had it been since she last moved? Time had passed, clearly that is to say, her limbs were stiff, muscles sore and most every inch of her body throbbed with acks and pains; it must have been a week at least, most likely more than that. With easing movements the white as snow sheet peeled off her legs as it draped off the edge of the bed; eyes still shut Maya sat there on the lip of the mattress with her legs hanging off the side. It was then that Maya became apparent of the usually large size of the bed; with her bottom placed on the edge of the bed her legs still dangled in the air like a child sitting on a counter. Finding that sounds alone would do her surrounding no justice Maya braced herself from the stinging pain of light; eyes lids widening slowly she squinted back the rays of light as her eyes slowly adjusted to the levels within the room.
"Beautiful."
The single word escape her mouth at the stunning appearance around her, the room she sat in was not like the one before; hardened wooden floor that had been tinted to give it a healthy shine, lovely oak furniture, from the bed frame to the cabinets and dressers that linden the white trimmed walls. Off on the far wall away from the bed Maya spotted someone... no... it moved just like... just like her... it was her; the ability to change her form was well known to herself and those around her but never before she transformed unwillingly.
"Me?"
Yes, it was her or at least her reflection from a wide, golden trimmed oak mirror. It was strange to see herself in such a way, there was a shock to view something that was clearly her but not of her choice or design; just when she felt like she had some type of grasp on this new world it twisted about like a snake pumped full of drugs to smack her with something like this. The sudden shock quickly wore off, sitting there on the bed Maya quietly looking around the room; it was fresh... or at least cleansed new that kept appearances up, though for what reason she was here now and not was she was before was beyond her. Only one person would know why but up till this point the old man had not been seen or even heard of. From the light outside it was morning, late morning, if she had learned anything about organics he would up and moving around by now. Having no idea what to call him Maya decided it would be best to seek him out on her own but there was worry whether or not her weakened state could even support her weight regardless of just how light her body was.
Using the headboard of the bed frame Maya skilfully yet slowly managed to pull herself away from the comfort of the cozy bed, its plush surface would be missed from her backside but if she kept there any longer madness would be quick to set in. Feet touching the cool surface of the floor for the first time... in days... weeks, sent a shiver down her new body; amongst other things she had felt in this world, in this new body this one wasn't so much as pain as it was disturbing. Toes brushing against the smooth surface Maya planted more of her weight onto her feet till she was standing but not without the support of the bed to keep her aloft, weakness had spread through her body like a disease and without the hand aid she would succumb to the unnatural weariness.
Breath coming in heavier waves than Maya would assume to be normal she paused for a moment to gather what strength that might lay within her body; times before weakness felt something else than what she was experiencing now. Before it was as if her movement were slowed but there was no fatigue to be felt from it, like a battery which was on its last drop of juice; now it was as if every movement in itself was a trying gesture that could not be fully completed. What was this new form of hers that she had been placed into, like a suit of another which she did not understand how it functioned, futuristic technology that only now had she come face to face with.
Spotting a nearby chair with wooden wheels attached at its base Maya inches her way across the room with difficultly, using whatever handholds that was within her reach. It was slow going and pain filled with every over extension she was forced to make in order to close a gap. Gasping with sputters for air she found herself plopping down into the chair with a light thud which shook its wooden frame gently. Finding that she must rest once again Maya eased into the embrace of the chair to pull burden away from her body, even sitting up seemed to be a chore now. With her feet still firmly planted on the boards below Maya spun herself about in a slow circles as she examined the small world around her once again, from a different angle she could see things she hadn't before; small pictures that hide themselves behind a bookshelf, ink pots carefully closed as to not let them dry out and even a recently used quill with fresh ink still shimmering on its tip. Try as she might her eyes found their way back to the old mirror that sat adjacent from where she once laid, each successful twirl about the swiveling chair her eyes met her reflections over and over again.
There was some disbelief to be had that her appearance could ever manifest into another against her own whim; perhaps her sub conscience had done it for reasons that even she did not understand... or maybe there was something deeper than that. This world was a strange place, and the mannerisms which it placed upon her were all the stranger, but it was for those reasons that she had come back. She needed to understand, to learn what caused such things to reaction in such a fashion.
Scooting across the floor Maya pushed herself up to the mirrors edge, spinning the chair till she sat face to face with herself she paused and looked deeply into her own face. It was... haunting in a way, she had changed her form so many times in the past to whatever she saw fit at the time but now... she was someone she had never thought to be. It was true while the form she took now was similar to ones previously visited by herself this one... was different.
"Was this... actually a person?"
Maya questioned hung the air for only her to hear. Hand raising against the cool to the touch glass she pressed against it lightly as if the image was false, just a machine which copied her bodies movements and replaced her appearance with that of another. It was not, just slick glass and her reflection. Touch breaking away from the mirror her hand found its way to her face as it began to explore the small features her reflection displayed. Thin, smooth pink lips, small nose, each nostril flaring ever so slightly with each breath she took, lightly brushed grey hair that almost seemed purple in the shadows created in the room but the oddest thing of all was her deep red eyes. With all the people that she had come across whom she had meet personally and from afar such a feature she had never witness... nor had it ever come to mind to make such a thing possible on herself.
Hands dropping away from her silk like skin Maya's eyes wandered to the rest of her body, while most of her upper body was exposed to the elements she did have a fine layer of bandages which wrapped themselves around her waist, around her backside and across her chest. Touch was something Maya knew little of, before... the world which she really came from touch was only something she used to determine pressures against herself by foreign bodies or objects, here however she could feel. The bed spreads, her own soft cheeks even the bandages that clung to her body so tightly; they were quite itchy. Tugging gently at the white bands that surrounded her torso Maya gasped at the pain that came with adjusting the makeshift shirt, the sharp drive of pain came rushing from her backside where until now her wound had laid dormant sleep only to be woken by intruders.
Stiffing up at the pain Maya held her breath letting the waves of suffering flow through her body before it died down, exhaling Maya shook her head back and forth in a scolding manner of herself not to do that again. Sighing deeply Maya went back to looking at herself in the mirror till her eyes feel to her chest, it was something of curiosity as to why only females had such large features on their bodies while the males of the species did not. They seemed useless and only got in the way when trying to maintain an attacking force on another, up till this point Maya had only saw fit to keep them around as Akassa seemed to have such similar features and she was doing well for herself. Thinking for a moment Maya wondered just what was so special about them as her hand rose up to the binding around her chest. Hands pressing gently as to not upset her wound any further than need be they fell onto the soft orbs that lay on her chest. Holding her position there Maya thought it was stupid, they were good for little more than getting in the way, nothing more than soft lumps of-
"Ah!"
Maya halfway choked on a gasp as her hands pushed just to hard into her chest making her reel back in the seat; face flushing a tint of red her hands shot down and away from her body as they hung off to the sides of the chair. Eyes widened with blushing cheeks she took a few minutes to snap herself out of the strange trance she had found herself in.
"Never... again...."
She mumbled at herself in a mix of confusion and anger at what had just happened.
THUD...THUD...THUD
The beating sound echoed through the house from the nearby wall from behind the mirror, its force was enough to cause a small ripple in Maya's own reflection. Having lost all thought to what just happened Maya's attention was now turned to investigating the sound and whether or not she was safe in such a place. As of yet no harm had come to her here but road ahead was masked in a hazy fog and without a clue of where it was she should head Maya would only become lost.
THUD...THUD...CRASH
"Oi! Hir'ros! DAT NOT HOW YE HOLD IT!"
"Huuuuuuuuuurh...."
"WHAT YE MEAN I SHOULD DO IT?"
"Huuuurh."
"OI! JUST! JUST!....Shut up an move it...."
The all to familiar voice of the older man she had met before boom through her head. At least now she knew where the man was at. Turning to face the door in the rolling chair she saw the distance from where she was and where she needed to be; the journey from the bedside had been one which nearly wiped her out and now she had to make an even further one. Maya moaned in a disgruntled fashion knowing all to well she could not sit around and wait till the man would venture back inside, the morning light showed he had only been out there for a small portion of time and it could be hours before he would return. With the mobility of the chair coming into mind Maya spun herself about so that her back faced towards the door, while it would not be an easy trip, rolling was much simpler than walking.
"Lets see what he can offer me. Maybe enough so I can understand this world. Enough to let me leave forever."
Maya knew that such faith was misplaced but if one never hoped them they would writhe in their own ashes for all of time.
