The hands of the small Icejin that was escorting Emperor Ninjin Hattori fidgeted with themselves nervously behind the smaller creatures back. There was a very mixed reaction from those he walked by, but there seemed to be one more prevailing emotion than the others. Fear. Ninjin supposed to himself that this is what he had asked for when he had taken power in the way he did. If he ripped Arctic’s head from his shoulders like it was nothing at all, imagine what he could do to the average man-woman-alien-being. Though he walked through the PTO headquarters with his head held high and smiling at those in his employ, most would not meet his eye. Those that did quickly looked away.
“Is it ready?” Ninjin asked the smaller being who gave a slight nervous jump at the sudden gravelly voice. It turned to face him and lowered its spectacles.
“A-A-Almost sire. Th-th-they wanted to be sure they got it exactly right for you.” He nodded repeatedly and then turned back to walking through the expansive new building. It glistened and shined with chrome and clean. The PTO headquarters had come together excellently and Ninjin could not be more proud. The new building as well as the palace had been put up in record time, though he had spent time in the palace this was his first time setting foot in the new headquarters. The Board had crowded around the entrance when he walked in and he had been met with a very large round of applause. Then he had been introduced to this young Icejin whose name he had quickly forgotten. Ninjin had told the board to stick around, because after his armor fitting he would have words with them all. Another meeting. Being CEO of the PTO was a time consuming job, as well as Emperor of the Icejin and the Iblisians, and being one of the oligarchy of Belegost.
As soon as he had been able to Ninjin had called a meeting of the highest ranking members of the PTO. Many of them he had met already and had already sworn allegiance to the new and powerful Emperor. There was no denying Ninjin’s power, and though it was a business the way the leader had risen to power had been the same for thousands of years. What they were shocked about was his next announcement. He had said he was making sweeping changings. Then he had laid out the plans that he had in mind, and over the course of a very long meeting had won them all over.
They were branching out. Planetary trade was something they would continue, but Ninjin hated the thought of killing so…. Needlessly. It was what the Church did to populations that they did not like, it was what they tried to do to the Saiyans. It’s what the PTO once did to the Saiyans. There would be no more of that from an organization run by Ninjin Hattori. Entire populations did not need to be wiped out to obtain habitable planets, not when terraforming existed. The speed at which it could occur had advanced greatly from the time of terraforming on New Vegeta, but the process was expensive. Nothing was out of reach for the PTO though. Why take a planets people and kill them all when you can take a planet and make your dream world? The dollar signs in the eyes of those gathered could not be denied, even despite the expenditures. They would actually end up saving money in the long run with the prices they could charge, and on PR and extermination teams.
Ninjin ruthlessly had acquired the best scientific minds from Omega and the nearby planets and brought them into the PTO, offering anything their hearts desired that he could afford for them, which for nearly all of them turned out to be zeni. The planet trade organization was now terraforming uninhabited planets and selling them off at ludicrous prices to the universes richest. They had never been doing better financially, and Ninjin was adding new jobs, much to the delight of his people. Trade between Alpha and Beta had seen a massive increase when Willie Watson and Ninjin had taken over respectively. More trade was brought in by the Iblisian World-ship, and the economies of all three had taken an upturn. Things were looking amazing for the system. Morale was at an all-time high, at least from what Ninjin could tell on Beta and the World-ship, and people were beginning to love their Emperor as much as they feared him, or so Ninjin could only hope.
But there was so much more, so much bigger were the new Emperor’s goals. The PTO had branched out and now there was a research and development team that was working on technologies that baffled Ninjin. Terraforming planets was just the first step, but also the biggest part of the PTO. It provided the majority of their funding, but Ninjin had bigger goals. Turning the PTO into something else was just the first thing he wished to accomplish. The Universal Church of One would be entirely whipped from the universe. The Emperor had to think of after that as well though, he would not simply stop being the Emperor. There was also the matter of his people. Despite the initial reason Ninjin had had for taking control over Beta and the PTO he was growing to love the Icejin people as his own, no small part in thanks to Aella. When he had deposed of Arctic he had promised them that he would protect them, and he would do everything that he could in his power to do that. With the PTO under his control that meant a lot. The best that the Icejin, the Iblisian, the people of Alpha, the Kinigo from belegost, and the PTO had to offer were brought together and the mingling of technologies and minds was a boon.
Still, the shake of the Icejin’s hands in front of him told him an honest truth that could not be denied, nor could be hidden very well from the perceptive Saiyan. They still feared him. No doubt there would never be a time when some part of them didn’t fear them. There had never been a power on Omega like Ninjin’s. They had feared Arctic, so great was his power. Their fear of Ninjin went beyond that. It crossed into terror. A terror of something with power that others can’t fathom. They got into the elevator and it quickly emptied of all those besides the two. The Icejin looked back at Ninjin and quickly looked away when the Saiyan met his eye. Ninjin shrugged. Aella didn’t treat him like that. Willie didn’t treat him like that. Those two meant the world to him and as long as he had them, all others could fear him. Still they were not all like that, and he had not lost hope that he would be able to win them over.
The elevator quickly descended into the R&D department part of PTO. IT was massive, and the glass elevator let the Emperor see everything. It was a sight to behold. Technologies that Ninjin couldn’t fathom the use of floated, hung, sat, and stood everywhere. Hundreds of scientists scurried around, not a single one looking anything other than incredibly busy. To imagine that this had all come together in such a short time, it was incredible, and a testament to all of his people, and the change of Beta. A smile came to Ninjin’s face and in the reflection of the mirror he noticed his sharpened canines. Perhaps that was a reason they all feared him. His vampire nature and the World-ship looming over head. No, there were aliens of all types all over Omega. His appearance would not be something to fear, even with the addition of the pointed canines he was not the most intimidating looking being that had ever inhabited the galaxy. His power made him that much more. It was not likely to be the World-Ship either that was instilling the fear. Massive ships had appeared over the space station before, and it wasn’t as if Iblisians were new to the galaxy, albeit rarely seen in such numbers. It was his power. The sheer power he put off at all times was daunting, but he felt no reason to suppress it in his own kingdom. One day he hoped those gathered under his kingdom would see it as a sign of strength that they could draw upon. That they could feel it and be safe and assured of the power protecting them. Some of them no doubt did already, but there was still that fear.
The elevator stopped and they stepped out onto cold marble floor. The scent of plastics and metals and sanitization chemicals filled the emperor’s nostrils. There was something else, something pleasant about the room and the atmosphere within. The scientists that scurried about did not seem to even notice the Emperor, let alone fear him. It made him smile, they were damn committed workers. It seemed as if had chosen the right people for the job. He was quickly to a door that required multiple verifications of identity in order to get through. There was another security check point along the way that they had to pass through. Two Icejin royal guard nodded to the Emperor as he went by. No doubt they were scanning his ki signature with the powerful readers in the hallway. It used to be the fact that security in the PTO was handled by androids, but Ninjin had a great distrust of the things. He was led down the side hallway by the bespectacled Icejin leaving the majority of the hustle and bustle. All the rooms on the hallway required a security clearance that only the top of R&D were allowed. In the distance Ninjin could hear hammers pounding away, drills whirring, and welders shooting sparks. Everyone was hard at work.
“W-W-We’re very excited about this sire. All of us. And we’re really glad that you came to us for it. For this. For trusting us all with this. It… Well we think it’s important. And a very important first step for our new R&D department. All of our best who have worked things similar to what you asked for… have come together to work on this.”
The small bespectacled Icejin tapped a code into a door and it slid up out of the way with a sigh. Ninjin shot him a questioning look and the Icejin cleared his throat
“We’re ahem, working on that sire.” Ninjin shrugged and motioned for him to lead the way.
Together they entered the armory. Those in the room quickly grew silent. A group of Saiyans, Iblisians of different alien types, Kinigos, and Icejin all stood surrounding something and they turned when Ninjin entered the room. One of the aliens tapped a few buttons and what they were working on rose to stand impressively in front of him. What Ninjin saw took his breath away. It was beautiful. The Icejin nearly died of fright when Ninjin placed his hand on his shoulder. Ninjin nearly had to hold the smaller creature down to keep his soul from jumping out of his skin.
“You have all outdone yourselves.” As he said the words they all beamed with pride. What stood in front of him was amazing, and everything he had asked for.
Ninjin walked around the armor in a circle inspecting it at every angle. When he had taken over Beta, the Icejin, the PTO, regained control over the Iblisian’s, it had all been the start of his Empire. The start A new empire, one that he would rule as he had been born to rule. One that he would protect with god-like might. He would not fail them, and they would not fail him. Together with Willie they were the Kings of Belegost, an oligarchy that promised to protect the people under its rule, at any cost. Zasham had been incredibly harsh on the crime in Alpha, and crime had dropped incredibly in Beta since Ninjin had taken over. Perhaps it was the ever present feel of Ninjin’s mighty power. Perhaps it was the fear of retribution if Ninjin heard of crime occurring in his kingdom. Ninjin had told his people he would not tolerate harm done to his people, even by his own people.
His crimson armor bore the symbol of the Saiyan Royal family. Though he would forever be a part of that family, the Saiyan kingdom was no longer his. The Saiyan people were no longer his to rule, though he would forever share their blood, and their burden. That Ninjin Hattori had died. Died on Mement Mor and died again when he had discovered his son. It was time to give up his past identity and look towards the bright future he was making for Beta… Still the desire for revenge burned hot in his heart and that was one part of his past he could not let go until he had enacted his revenge. As much of a symbol as the armor was, it was also a weapon. This new armor would do exceptionally well. Ninjin stopped when he noticed something.
“It has a sword.” He turned and all scientists scurried out of the way of his stone-faced gaze, leaving a lone Iblisian human. She stammered under the intense pressure of the look.
“M-M-My lord I-I-I had assumed th-th-that y-y-ou” Ninjin raised a hand and cut her off. He turned his head towards the other scientists.
“One of you? One that’s not going to stutter through their scrambled version of an explanation.” The Icejin from before stepped forwards.
“It is not a sword sire. It is Spike.”
Ninjin took another look. It was true. The long and pointed piece of metal was not a sword per-say. It did not have a bladed edge like a traditional sword, but rather it was a long pointed spike. As well was not handled the same way a tradition sword was, it was hooked into the bottom of the right arm of his armor, under the hand leaving it free, but also letting him grip the metal for added control. The other arm had a shield on it, it too ended with a spike, and was body length.
“W-W-We thought with your abilities sire, and with y-y-your specifications w-w-well…” Ninjin turned and smiled. The entire thing would be able to be controlled by his mastery of magnetism.
“Is it ready?” They nodded. Ninjin raised his arms and the armor flew off of the stand and to his body fitting around it like it was made for him. The helmet’s inside lit up with a display and he was able to see them all clearly despite the mask having no visible eyes. Spike felt natural, and Ninjin found to his delight that it could retract into the arm. The shield did not retract, but it did fight nicely into a slot on the back of the armor. With a flourish he turned towards them all.
“What do you think?” They all smiled and nodded their approval. It felt great. It felt like something an emperor would wear. The parts were easy to control and it didn’t weigh him down like his other armor did.
“Time to take it for a spin.” Ninjin rose in the air and those gathered applauded. Ninjin motioned for the Icejin that had been leading him around to come over and he did so nervously.
“I assume the other project is coming along just as quickly?” The Icejin quickly nodded his affirmation.
“Would you like to see my lord?”
“Lead the way.”
Together they left the room and walked even further down the hallway. A large set of double doors was at the very back of the hallway. When they approached the doors a touchscreen appeared on them and the smaller creature punched in a code.
“This project w-w-was, admittedly more ambitious s-s-sire.” Ninjin nodded. That wasn’t anything he hadn’t figured.
The doors slid up and away, once more with a contended sigh. When they saw before them once again took Ninjin’s breath away. Simply because he had stopped wearing the crimson armor didn’t mean it wasn’t still his favorite color. They walked out onto a railing. Far below them a hundred of the best hand-picked warriors from Beta, the World-Ship, and Belegost were training, each one in identical crimson armor.
Far below Aella turned and waved up at them but quickly went back to instructing those training for spots in the Imperial Guard. Ninjin waved back in surprise and then turned with a look of confusion at the Icejin he had been following around. The Icejin stared back at him blankly and it took Ninjin a moment to realize that he could not see his face. The helmet peeled back away from the suit and fit seamlessly into the collar.
“Two things. One, if I’m going to keep you around I need to call you something.” The Icejin blanched.
“Relax that was a joke. I’m going to start calling you Twitch if you keep this shit up.”
“The name is Boreal sire, named for my father, and his father before him.” It was the first time the creature hadn’t stuttered in Ninjin’s presence.
“A-And the s-second thing sire?” There it went. Ninjin smiled reluctantly and leaned against the railing. The training going on down below was intense. Aella would make sure that his Imperial Guard were able to protect the Emperor. The Imperial guard was not exactly needed to protect Ninjin, his power was absolute, but the symbol of might was the important thing. Tsyuo had not needed the guards of the palace to protect him, still having them was essential. They were loyal to the utmost and they did the protecting so that Ninjin need not too. On the wall three massive suits were being fit one three massive Iblisian aliens. They each stood at thirteen feet tall. When the armor was doing being applied they stepped off of their individual platforms. Each one carried two swords that were at least six feet long each. As they stepped forwards cranes lowered three massive poles in front of them. As one they slammed them into the ground and scythes of energy formed. They were impressive indeed.
(Ignore Vader and Palpatine)
“My lord th-th-those three will be your p-p-personal throne room guard. They are three brothers. We had many c-c-candidates that applied for the p-p-positon, and had our best and b-b-b-brightest poke their brain using t-t-telepathy. These three w-w-were by far the m-m-most promising.”
Ninjin nodded his head in approval. Things in the PTO were coming along nicely, and his war would be waged on his time. There were still more steps to be taken but everything was coming together. Ninjin smiled and turned to Boreal. The helmet returned to his head.
“I think it’s time to try this armor out.”
~Later~
The simulator burst to life and suddenly Ua was coming straight at him, his demonic form flaring with energy. It always surprised Ninjin to see what a simulator could produce, and with such accuracy and strength. Ninjin brought up his shield and two of the Elephantine demon’s hands reverberated off. Ninjin brought Spike around and it sprung from its place in his arm to impale the demon. Golden Ichor rain down the clone’s throat out of its mouth and then it exploded. Another one came at him from the right but Ninjin threw his shield with a flick of his arm and it impaled him to the wall before exploding violently.
There were dozens of the clones filling the training space. That’s what it took in order to give Ninjin a challenge, but this was not about a challenge. Not yet at least. At first he would begin by testing the capabilities of the armor, and then after he would work up to give himself the challenge. Aella looked on in fascination. The armor was incredible and allowed for very versatile mobility. His former armor slowed him down. This armor did nothing of the sort. As well it contained things that his former armor didn’t have. His people had outdone themselves. The armor that Bubebolos gave him now decorated his throne-room. The remnants of many a suit of armor decorated that hall. All once worn by the Saiyan.
Ninjin flipped once more through the air and sent his shield through yet another row of clones. When he landed he pivoted and brought Spike, and the shield as it spun through the air and returned to his arm, into the chest of a rampaging Oozaru. Ninjin wasn’t sure who the Oozaru clone was of, but it exploded into fragments all the same.
“Pause simulation.” A clone of Ua stopped as two of his four arms were coming back for a punch. The other clones were frozen mid-action as well. Aella walked through the forest of frozen clones and up to Ninjin. There was a smile on her face and when his helmet receded into his armor Aella’s face lit up until hers matched his own.
“What do you think?”
“That was amazing. To see you in action is something else, and Spike and the shield together with your mastery of magnetism is something altogether still. You are incredible.” She did not say the words with reverence, simply matter-of-factly.
“Are you ready for a real challenge?” Ninjin nodded. He was always ready for a real challenge. Fighting against the clones at their current strength was not providing him with such, even though they were clones of some of the greatest heroes that had ever lived. Still to fully test the capabilities of the armor he would need a real challenge. His helmet once again came up to cover his head and his distorted voice came through.
“Do it.”
The clones disappeared. In the center of the arena one slowly formed and for a moment Ninjin was shocked at just who Aella had picked for the simulator to replicate. Invictus stood before him, much as he once had on Mement Mor. His power was daunting, enhanced by the simulation technology, though he stood before Ninjin untransformed.
Ninjin fell into a fighting stance and the clone looked stoically over at him. The last time they had fought ultimately resulted in either’s death, both having taken their own lives to try and destroy an enemy. Neither had worked the way they had planned. Both ended up dead, but neither with their intended goal. Ninjin quickly activated his ASSJ form. The clone scoffed.
“That will not save you filth. The will of Aon be done.” Invictus raised his hand and a plume of fire shot forth from it. Ninjin rolled to the side to avoid the stream and threw his shield through the air like a disc. Invictus backhanded it away and Ninjin raised his hand to bring it back to him as the two rushed each other. Their blows hit against one another like hammers, each’s armor doing little to hold back the rushing assault of either.
For as many times as either one was hit they were hit back just the same, and Ninjin was once again surprised just how real the simulators could make their opponents seem. Invictus launched another blast of fire at the Emperor and Ninjin brought up his shield to block it. A robotic voice filled his ears inside the helmet.
Shield: would you like to activate elemental defenses?
"Just do it!!! The Emperor roared In response.
Shield: Elemental protection activated.
The fire coursed around the shield and left Ninjin surprisingly unharmed. When he pulled the shield away he noticed it was covered with a thin layer of glowing energy. Oddly he knew that that energy was being pulled from himself, he could feel the slight drain. Invictus wailed against the shield with both hands clasped together and Ninjin felt the reverberations through the shield, and he skidded backwards against the training room floor. Spike came out and Ninjin launched it at the armored being in front of him. Though he dodged Spike turned around with Ninjin’s mental control and impaled Invictus from behind. With a cough Golden Ichor spilt down the front of his armor.
“That…Will not… Be ENOUGH!”
Invictus’ power shot upwards as he transformed before Ninjin’s eyes. The angelic cardinal wrenched Spike from his torso and threw it back at Ninjin with alarming speed. The Emperor barely had time to duck and bring his shield up, throwing spike into the ceiling. Invictus rushed at Him and Ninjin rolled under the blow, at the same time he pulled Spike from the ceiling and it rushed down at Invictus, impaling him through and through. The clone exploded with tremendous force.
Ninjin turned to face Aella and Akassa’s fist caught him square in the mouth and sent him reeling. Warning signs began to pop up all over the H.U.D of his armor and he when he looked up Akassa was standing over him, in her Super Saiyan form. When he had returned to life he had seen replays of the video she had sent out declaring herself queen. She too had achieve the role of Super Saiyan. This one that stood over him now was strong, but set at lower than he. There was no hint of respect or admiration on her face. Her look was one of fury. Ninjin rolled backwards and up onto his feet but she was already coming at him. Ninjin threw Shield at the wall and it dug into it, then he flipped over backwards and landed on his hands and then sprang backwards as the Clone of Akassa was coming forwards and kicking at his head the entire time. They crossed nearly the entire length of training facility in this manner. Ninjin sprang backwards a final time and his feet touched against the wall, he sprang off of the wall and tackled his sister around the midsection.
They tussled and twisted over and over through, neither fully gaining control. Aella had been cheeky to choose Akassa for the one to truly test the armor’s full capabilities.
Warning. Puncture imminent.
“What?”
Ninjin felt a sharp pain in his ribs as Akassa activated her ki gauntlet and stabbed it into his ribs. Ninjin gritted his teeth against the pain and the H.U.D once again blared with angry warning and flashed with red light. Ninjin head-butted the clone of his sister across the bridge of the nose. Ninjin felt the bone give way to the force of the helmeted headbutt and the clone of Akassa stumbled backwards. Ninjin leapt in the air and spun-kicked her She brought her arms up in a cross to block. She came back and began striking at the emperor with great ferocity. Warning signs flashed again and again as the structural integrity of his armor was weakened with every powerful strike that she connected with.
Armor integrity breached. Suggest Armored explosion.
The armor was damn good, his R&D department had done excellent work. It was a pity that it would need to be rebuilt so soon.
Armor repair time estimate: 45 minutes after detonation.
It was all he needed to hear. Ninjin lifted a knife from his belt and flung it at her with his mind, it clanged off of her gauntlet as Akassa backed up defensively. Ninjin’s armor exploded from around him and he sent the metal shards flying at his sister. She brought up a shield and the pieces of metal thudded into it. When it lowered Ninjin came flying and his kick thudded hard against Akassa’s chest. She staggered backwards at the same time Ninjin made a grabbing motion forwards with his arm. Shield came forwards. It spiked through the front of her armor and the clone exploded into pieces. Ninjin staggered forwards and clutched at his side where the ki gauntlet had pierced through. The destruction of his armor had left him wearing little other than his underwear and the wound was angry and deep. Aella came forward and took his arm around her shoulder and he leaned on her for support.
“You… You chose Akassa?”
“No Ninjin, you programed the simulator.”
Ninjin was surprised to hear that, but it made complete sense. They had always been rivals, each trying to gain the upper hand and keep it in terms of power and strength. Akassa was one of the few beings in the universe Ninjin respected the power of. Ninjin nodded and winced, his left hand going to his right side, where he had been stabbed by the simulator.
“Come on tiger, let’s get you to a healing tank. You’ve earned it.”
Techniques Acquired:
Armor of The Emperor- Ninjin commissioned this set of armor upon taking over the PTO and Beta. This armor contains a weapon called Spike as well as a shield. This armor is enchanted to Ninjin and he can summon it to his body with a thought. Ninjin can control all aspects of this armor including Spike and the shield using his Mastery of Magnetism, and can function with Ninjin’s armored explosion technique. This armor and all aspects can be destroyed, though being enchanted to Ninjin have given them increased durability. When the armor is destroyed it is destroyed for that thread but comes back the next. The helmet contains a heads-up-display to allow Ninjin to see without weakening the integrity of the suit. (Though it lacks a scouter, Ninjin’s advanced ki sensing makes up for that).
Shield: Elemental protection - Ninjin’s shield on his suit of armor is capable of shielding him against damage of elemental type, and switches based on the element that hit it last. While this is effective it is not a perfect technology and so whilst it changes based on the element that hit it last and makes it easier to block those, it makes them weaker against elements of the opposite type. Being hit with an element of the opposite type will overload shield and cause it to break, literally shattering it into pieces. Shield can no longer be used for the duration of that thread, but repairs afterwards. Req: Armor of the Emperor
