The mood over the entire compound was something of gloom. There was hardly a whisper over the last few days. Word had reached all corners of the world that those that had been defending its honor and pride had fallen in the battle of Central City. The proclamation that came afterwards was a silencing one. Earth belonged to the Imperial Saiyan Legion. Akassa was the High Queen but there were rumors that she would not directly rule over Earth herself. This meant that there was going to be a direct ruler yet to be named over the planet. Many feared that it would be a harsh governor or a brutal tyrant but there was nothing that anyone could truly confirm. Once Akassa made her decision the people of Earth would know their ruler.
The Muzai though were not concerned with who ruled over the planet. They were more concerned with putting to rest one of their own. The entire clan had moved in mass earlier in the day clad in black. Though they had no body Izanami carried the folded jacket of Kurosanai Muzai. It was not the one that he had died in but rather one of the few that were given to him by his father. It was the jacket that had been on his shoulders during the Galactic Tournament. And it would be this jacket that was laid in the grave. Several members spoke in his honor but at the end of the day it would be laid to rest next to the ancestors of the Muzai. It was a long walk back from the burial grounds but those that accompanied the funeral precession passed on their condolences to Minato and Ai for the loss of their son. After doing so they would return to their own homes. It was strange only mere weeks ago many in the clan would not even mention Kurosanai’s name in conversation. He was considered a disgrace to the family for losing his aoiro no tsuisata in battle. The only ones that would actively talk about him were his own parents and Shumai their house keeper. It had pained Ai when Mozoku would not come to see his cousin. She was not sure what had happened between the two of them but she was hurt that they never made up.
Eventually all of the funeral precession dissipated and only Izanami stood with the parents of the lost prodigy of the Muzai. The leader of the clan was silent; she had not spoken at the funeral and had yet to say anything to his parents after the news had become clear. Her eyes shifted from the ground to the sky above the home of his parents. With a sigh she finally broke his silence, “We cannot afford to waste any opportunity that appears on the horizon when a new leader of Earth is named. I wish for you to be there with me Minato when we meet whoever it is.” Izanami said coldly. Ai’s eyes glazed over and Minato went to speak but Izanami raised her hand. “There will be a time for mourning his loss. But for me that time is not now. I have to protect the clan. We bear his name and we may possibly bare his hatred. Go get some sleep. In the coming days Akassa will name her governor and it is then that we will make their peace.” Turning around Izanami began to head back to her own home.

Kurosanai Muzai had crossed the wrong woman when he had attempted to take the Queen’s brother from her. The insolent whelp had been death with by the Super Saiyan herself, but that was not enough. Such an upstart was no doubt bread from a whole group of like minded individuals, in this case a clan. From her time with Kami, the Guardian of Earth before the late Conri Lane had assumed the mantel, Akassa had learned of the boy’s clan and their history. They kept mostly to themselves, but the power within their blood was not a secret. As a collection the clan was enough to consider a threat, as minor as it might be, and Akassa was not ready to let such a threat go on existing in her world. Besides, they needed to be taught a lesson for how foolishly their prodigy had acted.
Soaring through the air, in her normal un-ascended form, Akassa had a short while ago located the home of the Muzai Clan. Coordinates displayed on the scouter she wore of her right eye, the half-Saiyan was drawing close. Many different signals had been upon the screen, none of them any real consequence to the woman, but then again, Earths greatest warriors had been nothing before the might of Queen Akassa Hattori. No soldiers followed her and no allies flew alongside her, this was something to be handled by the woman herself. It was not to be broadcast or announced, although there was no doubt rumors would surface after all was said and done. In fact, she would make sure of it. The rumor would be spread that the Clan was not to be trusted, their strongest member having been partially responsible for the destruction of Central City.
Such a rumor would quickly push aside thoughts of disgust at the clan’s annihilation, their existence ended for the greater good of Earth. On top of that, most would not be brave enough to question it, their new ruler far beyond the strength of mortal men. To speak out against her was to tempt the rage of a god, one that none alive could match. Drawing closer, Akassa could not help the grin that her lips curled into, the thought of removing the would-be rebels filling her with excitement. Deep down she felt the unceasing desire to unleash the power she had stored within her, its suppression almost feeling unnatural. Soon enough she would release it and show the foolish boy’s clan the error they had made in not controlling the upstart. This day many would pay for the mistakes of one.

The compound was nearly silent as Ai walked through the doorway to their home. She glanced over her shoulder just as Izanami disappeared from view in order to return to her own home. Izanami had never been one to show emotion well even as a child. At his own grandfather’s funeral she never once shed a tear and Ai had heard that Izanami had never even showed up for her own parent’s funeral. She was something else but Kurosanai’s death seemed to be doing something to her that even she did not expect. Perhaps it was the fact that the Muzai faced destruction within the unknown or perhaps it was actually that she had grown to like the misfit of the Muzai.
Minato could barely find the words as he entered into his own home. Even though Shumai often had a room within the home but Minato had asked that she return to her own home for the next couple of days. The housekeeper was more than happy to give the parents their space. She could only imagine what they were going through. The house felt oddly quiet as the two stood in the living room, neither speaking. Minato walked forward and then turned around to look at his wife. The man was drained and he could barely find enough strength to stand.
“I am going to go try and sleep…are you coming?” Minato struggled.
“No…I am going to stay up for a little longer…” The woman responded. Minato walked up to his wife and kissed her lightly on the cheek before disappearing down the hallway leaving Ai standing on her own. The woman took a deep breath in as she walked over to the pictures that sat on the far table. There adorned on the table top were pictures of the family from numerous events throughout their lives. On the beach of a lake across the planet where Minato was chasing after their five year old son, of a more recent picture just shortly before Kurosanai had left for the Galactic Tournament and then finally a picture of when Ai had met Minato all those years ago. The two young lovers stood under a tree as he held her in his arms. The most striking feature though was that Ai’s long dark hair was much shorter, about shoulder length, and was a dirty blonde. The blonde hair was actually the true hair color of Ai as she was never actually part of the Muzai clan or at least not by blood. She had met Minato on a trip that saw him elude the young girl for months on end. It would not be until they finally met that she had begun to fall for him. Before introducing her to the clan though Minato had asked her to change her hair in order to be accepted by the elders. She complied but ever since that day she had longed for her blonde hair again and secretly she thought that Minato longed for it as well.
“I wanted to show you so many different things…I just never go the chance…” Ai said as she tried to rein in her own tears. Her fingers reached out tenderly touching the family picture with two fingers.

Not much farther now. Ahead of her the Saiyan Queen sensed the numerous signatures that must belong to the Muzai Clan. Like all the other weaklings of Earth they varied, but were far short of what Akassa was capable of. For all their secrecy and all the years spent as an exclusive group, little had been accomplished. Kurosanai, the boy she had disintegrated in the final moments of the battle for Central City, was the epitome of the Muzai name’s strength and it had not been able to hold up against that of Hattori for more than a few moments. Hell, if Nasu had been more serious and really committed to the fight, she would have never needed to step in. More training was needed for the younger of the two Hattori siblings, Maya as well. The next time they moved to expand the Imperium more was going to be expected of those that now belonged to the SS. An elite fighting force needed to live up to its name, not bank its success on the one that lead it.
Before her clouds parted, the moist puffs blown to nothingness as the powerful warrioress passed through them. The irony caused a small grin to take shape on the Queen’s face. The sky today was a calm one, no hints of rain or thunder, yet there was a storm that was about to ravage the Muzai compound. A perfect accumulation of power and speed that would wipe all traces of those that might oppose the Imperuim from this world. Kurosanai had played a large role in the destruction of Central City, a city that belonged to Akassa. For that and the attempt made on her beloved brothers life, those associated with him were about to pay the price. No broadcast was going to highlight the actions of the day, but rumors would spread and although near impossible to clarify, they would instill fear in any who wished to threaten her reign.
Feeling the whelps mulling around below her now, Akassa finally comes to a stop. Righting herself in the air she takes in a deep breath, body almost tingling with anticipation of the excitement that was to come. Deep down the stores of energy she had access to press against the barriers that held them in check, yearning to be released once more in the same destructive fashion she had used days before. The more time that passed, the more she felt the urge to let herself go. Power like this was not meant to be held back, it was meant flow freely. Letting out the air she had held in her lunges, Akassa drops from the sky. The ground rushed up to meet her, each second bringing her closer until she slams into the ground, powerful legs bending to absorb the shock as the ground buckled beneath her. Head snapping up to reveal an even larger grin, the expression said it all.
Who was first?

The structure of the Muzai clan’s compound was something similar to a makeup of a class structure. The lower regarded family members or those that did not belong to the clan itself and chose to live with the Muzai were housed towards the gate and outer walls. As you entered the compound the closer you got to the center the grander the houses became and the more prominent family members resided there. This would culminate in a grand house that was surrounded by several courtyards and trees. This was where the head of the clan lived. This structure was never intended when the compound was originally designed. It was actually a matter of happenstance because the closer member of Fujin’s original family decided to set up their homes close to his own. In time more people came to live there and the compound expanded outwards.
So when the Queen of the Saiyans approached and landed near the gate to the Muzai compound she would actually not be greeted by Muzai clansmen themselves. Several families had come to live in the outer homes and it would be a simple farming father that had been walking back to his home. Akassa would plunge out of the sky and plunge into the ground. Her power radiated off her very being and it was awe inspiring. Or rather terrifying in the father’s experience. Her impact had literally blown the poor father off of his feet and at first he was not sure what had happened. When he opened his eyes his heart had dropped. He had seen pictures of the new ruler of Earth but never had he imagined she would have come to this part of the planet. The grin on her face though was what sent chills up his spine. The smile radiated bloodlust and he could barely move at the sight of it.
It was then that his wife and two young children came running to the door to see what had happened. When he saw his family appear in the doorway his first reaction was to wave them back into the house so that they were out of sight. If Akassa was here she was here for Izanami the best thing that the farming family could do was to stay out of her way. Seeing the Queen in front of their house though in such a presence left the woman terrified as she like her husband could sense the bloodlust. Her hand instinctively wrapped around the door frame. Her hand clenched it tightly as her heart began to race. Her mind told her to go tell her children to go hide and make sure they were out of sight but her arm did not move. Akassa being here only meant one thing.
Destruction.

Her thick mane of black hair hung loosely about her shoulders, framing her face and the feral grin that dominated it. Looking to each of them, Akassa already found herself disappointed. So fearful and so cowardly when all she had done was land on the ground. Perhaps her reputation preceded her, but it was more likely that the weaklings possessed no spine. For a moment she expected them to begin groveling, dropping to the dirt and begging that she spare their lives. The Queen had said nothing yet the looks in their eyes were as if she had pointed a gun to their head. Their weakness was the same weakness that had lead the defenders of Earth to fight back in the first place, fear. Her motives had been just even if selfish, her desire to protect all under her empire extended to Earth when she had declared herself Queen.
They had insulted and assaulted her in response.
Still not having risen from her landing crouch, she chuckles lightly. Would those farther in not be so spineless? It was time to find out.
Muscles tensing in her arms and legs, the Saiyan Queen launches herself into the air, lithe frame vaulting over the gate before her. Aided by her bukujutsu the woman was able to clear more ground than most catapuls could with a single leap. Propelled over half of the compound, she descends towards its center. Research had informed her that those in charge of the Muzai Clan were also the centrally located ones. Those where the individual's she sought, not farmers and their families. Rumors had spread about Akassa and her bloodlust from the battle of Central City, but they were not accurate. The powerful warrior did not attack at random and with abandon, but chose her targets very carefully. Today was no different.
Landing once more with the crunching sound of earth split beneath her feet, the Queen arrives at the center of the ancient compound. Like on New Vegeta there was history here, the beginnings of what the Muzai clan had created. As far as Akassa knew, the epitome of the clan had been manifest in Kurosanai Muzai, the man she had erased from existence. Rolling her neck as she stood, Akassa's eyes scan the area, senses reaching out. Unfamiliar with the individual's that lead the clan, she was unsure what signature belonged to who. What she could sense though was that none came close to that of the boy Nasu had engaged some days before. Unlike the signatures she felt, distant flames barely reaching her with their warmth, the Queen's own power burned brightly....and she was only in her base form.

The sound that emanated from outside was like nothing that would have been expected at this time of night. Whatever had caused the sound was so powerful that it had actually caused the house to rumble. Ai stumbled to the side as her hand knocked the picture of her family, Minato, Kurosanai, and herself off the table onto the floor. The frame bounced against the floor causing it to clatter across the floor before coming to a rest. Ai’s heart sunk as she could hear the breaking of glass. She slowly crawled across the ground until she reached the frame. Her hands fumbled with it and as she lifted it she could see the picture shattered and slightly torn.
She could hear the footsteps of her husband as he ran down the hallway. He quickly left through the front door until he was gone from ear shot. Her finger traced over the faces in the torn picture as memories flooded back into her mind. How could everything change so greatly over the course of a little more than six months? Her son was gone and now the future of her family wobbled on the edge of a blade. Rising to her feet she would begin to make her way to the door only to stop halfway there. The thought flashed through her mind to go retrieve two relics that she had not touched in sometime. With a hesitant thought she decided to forgo the items and continue onward.
When she reached the door she saw a group of people beginning to form around a single lonesome figure that stood in a small crater in the courtyard. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the dark but when they did her heart sank. Standing in the middle of the crowd was the very woman that had taken the life of her son. First her body went cold before it spiked in temperature as rage coursed through her body as he wished to see the woman gutted before her. Ai’s eyes were able to pick up as the leader of their clan begin to make her way through the crowd.
“Your highness I must say it is an honor to have you here at our homes,” Izanami said as she took a more centralized place within the crowd. She took a deep bow to convey the most respect she could to the new leader of the planet. “I have to apologize as we had not been expecting your arrival so this compound is not up to your respectability. Is there anything that we can help you with or do for Queen Hattori?” Izanami asked with the greatest respect.

At the center of the compound stood the most powerful woman in existence and all that had been awaken by her entrance began to gather around her. Akassa stood still as they arrived, the loose circle that began to take shape allowing her to see each and everyone one of them. Not one said a word, their stares of disbelief saying more than any sentences they might have been able to form. The Queen of the Imperial Saiyan Legion stood before them, the very woman that now ruled over them. Kurosanai Muzai had chosen to stand against the female over Central City out of some misguided sense of purpose. Would these people do the same or would they be wiser than the boy labelled as their prodigy?
At least one of them was smart enough to pay the proper respect instead of just standing in awe. The woman must have been the head of the clan or at least one of its leaders. Intel on the exact hierarchy had been difficult to come by, but the very way the woman carried herself hinted at authority. With perfect manners and proper respect she addresses the royalty before her. As for Akassa, she let her attention shift solely to the individual before her. Her senses were of course still active, but her soft brown eyes met those of Izanami.
"Ideally I should not have had to make this trip, yet no representative from the Muzai clan has reached out to the crown since I so graciously took the Earth under my protection. I am willing to let that slide if this discussion today goes smoothly, but first let me ask, who is it that I am addressing?" As always the Queen's voice was calm and controlled. Confidence practically seeped out of her pours, some perhaps even labelling it arrogance. Akassa would argue that fact. When you were physically and politically more powerful than any other living creature, it wasn't arrogance, only justified self-confidence.

Izanami had feared something like this could have happened. Though she did not think that the Saiyan Queen herself was going to make the trip out to the Muzai compound. She had thought that perhaps the Saiyan Imperium was going to send a representative that would have been easy to talk away and to buy them time. She wanted to know who the Governor of Earth was going to be and that was just a matter of waiting. Or so she thought. Little did Izanami know but Akassa had named her brother to the position only a few days after the submission of the planet to the Queen’s might. However due to being so busy trying to plan her next move and dealing with Kurosanai’s funeral the news had not made it to her ears.
Taking a hard swallow Izanami tried to slow her heart. She was not exactly ready to mentally dance with Akassa at the current moment and knew one slight miscalculation was going to cost them all dearly. “I apologize profusely for the Muzai not sending a representative to your court sooner. As for whom I am, my name is Izanami Muzai. I am the current leader of the Muzai clan.”
“We have not been able to send a representative yet for a few reasons my liege. The first reason is that due to our location we do not receive news as quickly as we would enjoy, this is further complicated by technical malfunctions that have just recently been fixed.” The latter part of the statement was a lie as there had not been a malfunction but she needed to buy them a little slack, hopefully, for the next reason. “The second reason is that we have been caught up in our funeral rites and ceremonies for a recently departed member of our clan. Due to the size of our remaining clan members we tend to be a bit extravagant in our ceremonies.”
Izanami hoped that she would not press on who the funeral was for. Despite standing in defiance of the Queen only days before Kurosanai had been a cherished member of the clan for a long time. While he had been effectively pushed out of the clan over the last couple of months many in the clan felt after the fact that he was given too harsh of punishment. These came from the same voices that called for the clan to outright disown his very existence. Hypocrites were scattered throughout the world and there was no difference here. Out of the corner of her eye she could see that Mozoku, the former best friend of Kurosanai, clenching his fists and seemingly steaming over the presence of the Queen. He had become very hot headed after Kuro’s death and was prone to out bursts. Izanami prayed that the young man would have enough sense to keep his mouth shut. He could barely keep up with Kuro before his death and this was the woman that had bested him in battle. He would not be able to even touch her.

Excuses.
Every word out of the woman's mouth was an excuse as to why the long standing clan had not reached out to their new Queen. Perhaps the Fuhrer and the Kings before him had not required a show of respect from those in higher standings, but the woman that stood before them now sure did. Akassa was a prideful individual, of that there was no doubt, and while she was often patient with those new to her presence, she had her limits. This Izanami was the head of her clan, above all others she should have known what was expected of her when a new Monarch had taken the throne of Earth. Regardless of the means it was earned, the blue planet now belonged to the Imperium and Akassa was its head. Everyone else was at least one step below her.
"A yes, for the foolish boy that attempted to take my brother's life. At first I did not fully recognize him, but I eventually recalled his face from the Galactic Tournament. Kurosanai was his name, correct?" Akassa fully remembered the name, but if she was not going to be shown respect, neither were they. A warrior through and through, the Queen made sure to remember the names of all those she had fought against that were of note, the human boy barely making that group, but yet his name was remembered.
"I understand what it is like to lose family for most of mine has been lost to me in more ways than one. Had the boy bent his knee like his King commanded then he might yet be of this world. Instead he chose to threaten and destroy; his fate was of his own doing. That is the past though; I have come to address the future. Those close to me tell me of the Muzai Clan's long history and the promise they hold as warriors. For such an establishment to remain hidden is a waste. My wish is to see the proper steps taken to recognize your new Queen and then I shall be able pull this clan into the light. Many on Earth question my motives. Whether it is fear or stupidity I cannot tell, but when the Muzai clan openly backs my rule I believe they will see the truth of the opportunity before them. Don't you agree Izanami?"
As she spoke, Akassa's eyes casually scanned the crowd as if they had all come to hear what she had to say of their own accord. Of course when a titan landed amongst your village, one could not ignore it. For a moment her eyes stop on one boy, eyeing the clenched fists at his sides. The Queen's calm eyes met his for a long moment, stare unwavering and emotionless for whatever it might be that had him so on edge. Muzai clan or not, Humans were weak creatures, prone to emotional outbursts with nothing to back them. It was sometimes hard to believe she shared half of her genetic makeup with these creatures.
