The hustle and bustle of the Imperium never seemed to in the aftermath of the annexation of the Earth into the web of the Saiyan network; with one world down glassy eyes filled with wonder had turned away from themselves and towards the dots of light which illuminated the night time heavens. Now that their world was no longer hidden in the shadows of the colossus by the human realms space was now their target and the wonder that were still hidden beneath its thick vale of tar. Ships in the dozens took to the skies in the hopes of making something for themselves, for their family, for the Imperium; finding the flames of honor and loyalty once again burning in their souls Saiyan's from around the two dwarf worlds sought to make a name form themselves and show all that the Imperium's might extended from more than a single person, each of them carried a piece of it with them.
Not all sought to leave their homes to seek fame, honor, wealth, no; those that stayed behind were those that had built their homes on the moon, the earth, and they wished to live out their days in the lands that had been created by the Imperium. Much had changed in the last few years, the church of one, the death of the late King and his beloved Queen, the rise of Queen Akassa to the throne and the take over of their solar neighbor. Many saw it coming years ahead, always knowing deep down that the Earth and her people belonged under the wing of the Empire, now it was true. The show was not yet over yet, it was simply the beginning of what was to come and the Saiyan's that stayed behind wished to see what was to come of their homes, of their people; Maya on the other hand was some where between the two.
She was no person of the Empire, at least not by birth. Taken in by Akassa she had found a home, a place where she belonged, in away she was annexed by the Empire as the Earth was into the Imperium, the only difference was she could leave when she wanted. From the rough start which brought her into this universe till the battle over Earth Maya had stuck at Akassa's side through every foe and every thought but soon enough an impasse came into view where Maya was sent off, away from the lunar world for the first time.... Ever since coming to the moon Akassa had been nearby, even if it was but a few miles she had been there, her presence radiating from her like an aura of soothing, now, it seemed as though it had come to an end. With assignment in tow Maya had taken course towards the Omega system in hopes of discovering the true identity of the man who rumors floated about that he was the Queen's long dead kin, her flesh and blood, her brother. Having already met the bastard man child Nasu, Maya was not thrilled of the idea of coming into direct contact with another of Akassa's seemingly endless family but it was the task that had been thrown upon her.
----
The wedding was not a place for her kind, to many people, to many sounds, to many... just to many. The comfort of the wide court yard before the palace gates was more to her liking, those around where but guards, though they were well skilled Maya kept enough distance to avoid contact but enough so that their eyes were trained on her shadowy form in the dimming light of a day soon to close. Hours had ticked by while awaiting for the so called Emperor of Beta, the mans appearance checked out as fine as the pictures that had been given to Maya but the universe was filled with those that could alter their bodies; Maya was one of such talent.
"Ninjin Hattori...."
The name bounced around her endless thoughts of what was to come, dealing with those of royal background had become an almost daily chore having spent months in the warming company of Akassa's palace. Pleasantries were a must, a warm greeting, followed by small talk of the weather; the practice sickened her to no end but such was the life of those with influence and the power to back it up. Of course the real reason Maya had been sent here was for the soul purpose of discovering the true identity of the man behind the crown; death was not something someone can so easily escape from, the reapers icy chains often bonded to flesh like a hot steel. If he was the man he claimed to be then that would have been the end of her adventure within the metal structure of the omega systems... would have.
Maya was a quite being but her eyes were always directed towards what was, and not what is. She saw the possibilities of the universe around her and those that roamed aimlessly through it only causing chaos in every direction they were driven, such potential... cast onto the breezes to be lost at sea. So much lost... yet, hope always had a way to shine through the ashes of destruction; her eyes were the only ones that could see it apparently. Earth... Earth had been a wake up call... something of which Maya regretted had happened. To much was lost on either side of the field, in the end of it all those that were soaked to the bone in ash and blood all looked the same in her eyes; mortals saw others as competition, a feat to be conquered to display their place on the food chain. There was no need for that, not anymore at least; try as she might Maya still owed Akassa a great deal of debt for her kindness given so what she did was just as much for herself as it was for Akassa.
There was more than one item which Maya needed to discuss with Ninjin here today, much more than he would have expected, something that would have gone unnoticed had the curious mind of Maya not dug deeper than need be. Wandering feet guided Maya through the grassy patches that lined the grand garden before the might of the palace, time was nothing for a being never aged in appearance, only in mind. It was not her clock that she was on however but that of the Imperiums, while she could wait for some time she would eventually leave to be at Akassa's side once more.
