-Old History-
Zilo was a saiyan born on Vegeta... Or he should say half saiyan. He was bron from a low class father known as Aspari. And then his mother a human female by the name of Arela, that had journeyed from earth after they had fallen in love. It only took them three years of living on the moon, to finally give birth to a child known as Zilo. When Zilo was born, he had gained several features that had been different from the other children on Vegeta. His tail had no fur on it, and seemed to be as if the child had a deformity. It took three years for Zilo to actually start growing hair on his tail, in that time he had kept it hidden out of site, simply because it was too cold to display the hairless member on the moon. What people don't tell you when you live there, it's colder than being stuck in the polar ice caps on earth, where his mother had originated from.
Around the age of twelve Zilo had begun to grow hair on his tail. It was an interesting discover for the boy, when he rushed in to point it out to his mother and father. He remembers telling them that it had been itching like crazy, and when he finally turned to look at the thing, it had begun to grow hair along the length of it. Though it was short it gave the thing the monkey like look, that his father had always held in proud display. This was good news for Aspari as well, when he told Zilo, that it had come in just in time, as he'd be heading out towards the Saiyan's academy at the age of thirteen. Confused by what he was saying, Aspari only told him that it was like the school he was currently going to, that his mother was teaching. But instead, he would be learning to be a part of the saiyan Army. As the only son within the family, and a little sister on the way, he would be in charge of taking up the families name within the ranks. As the current system required at least one member of the family to be within the saiyans Royal Army.
His sister was born right before he was shipped towards the Academy, She had been born only three months prior to his shipping date. She had been born fairly normal compared to him, she had full fur on her tail, her hair was a blue color though, and her eyes had what seemed to be a bright green glow to them. This was the last time he saw his sister, and it was also the first time he had seen her. The next twenty years of his life where going to be painful, but also fun. Upon entry to the academy, Zilo's scores had placed him in what they called the defense unit. He came to realize real soon why they had been called that. It was a painful experience for the most part, as they had often been used as the target practice for the other recruits that had been placed in the invasion unit. But it proved to be useful for him. During his time there, Zilo had learned how to fight, without allowing himself, Nor ally to be damaged during a fight.
The tutors instructed him strictly on defense, along with four other saiyans. As they had been the only other three half saiyans that had taken part within the academy. And Zilo already figured out why, they hadn't been placed within the invasion unit, and that was because they hadn't been full blooded saiyans. Instead they where being trained as cannon fodder, to block in coming attacks, and then allow the invasion unit to continue their pursuit into enemy territory without any problems. When he was around seventeen, Zilo received his first set of armor. It looked nearly the same as the other saiyans, but it lacked the shoulder pads, which would mark him as a low class saiyan. But the pants where different from the other low class saiyans, as they had been made out of a fabric that he had often seen his mother wear. When questioning the tutor about why the material of the pants where different, he explained it was to tell apart the Half breeds, from the full blooded.
Two more years passed by quickly, as Zilo actually began to enjoy his training and sparring with the other saiyans, it probably had to do with the saiyan blood in his system. But he had developed something no other saiyans had. His hair was long and down to his lower back. It had been strong and pointy like the rest of the saiyans, and he was unable to tame it, but it proved to be useful. As he could use it to spin and slap the others within the face. It would often cause them to close their eyes, long enough for him to place his hand on the other students chest and scream, knocking them away with his Kiai. Zilo wasn't trained in anything other than defensive moves, but he didn't mind that at all, as he was actually at an upper hand against the other students. That used just pure offensive techniques. As proven by his marks on his previous test, Zilo was never scratched within the small fighting tournaments they had. Unless it was a fist or kick, that he was engaging in at close range.
After the final fights had concluded, the recruits where now officially placed within units with one another. Each of which concentrated on four or less people to a squad. Zilo was placed with two female saiyans that had been twins. The two of them where on the lower end of the scale, as they had scored the lowest on the test, but he understood that it was to keep the units balanced, so one wasn't wiped out before the others got a turn. At least, this was his thinking till he was told they would be the suicide squadron. Technically it wasn't called suicide as the tutor instructed him, it was more of "You're the first one in, and the last one out. So you're technically what we'd call the First unit." It was a simple way of putting, we're gonna be having you as a distraction, and you'll be pulled out if you're alive. Though Zilo was surprised over the next few years, because of these two he had been placed with.
They hadn't been stuck up like the rest of the full blooded saiyans that he had been with, instead they listened to him over their squad training sessions. Back in the academy, he remembered how the others wouldn't listen to him simply cause of his status as a half breed, but these two didn't care for that... They seemed more interested in actually just enjoying their lives. They had signed up together, so they wouldn't be separated and that's how it was now. Over the course of the next four years, the three of them had been sent on over two hundred and fifty something missions with one another. All of which had been successful, and none of them being injured. Though generally they came back tired especially Zilo as he had been the protector of the two, throwing his body out there hoping barriers held, and knocking away enemies from the two girls. Though the two where weak individually, the two of them together seemed to surpass anything that they where placed against.
When Zilo hit twenty three, the squad had been moved and changed. Because of some diplomatic dispute or something. The saiyans where beginning to shift squads apart. Little did he know, the two twins had decided to join another squad within the army which would guarantee them no field action as they've been in the front lines for nearly four years now, while Zilo had remained within their older squadron. When the girls came back to the dining hall clad in yellow and blue with the small shoulder pads marked with the royal army crest, it sent a small chill down his spine. As he sat there in his normal saiyan armor. The two where disappointed that Zilo had chosen to stay on the front lines, as there was a brand new place for them to live. The girls had been shipped out a few months later, as Zilo was left as the only person within the first squad. Soon though he would be placed with new soldiers... Just who was it going to be this time... Some more recruits? Or other full blooded stuck ups. Only time would tell. For now though it was time to take the much needed vacation time and visit his family once more. That sounded nice... But what awaited for him would not be as pleasant as he thought...

After the life long mission of dealing with the rebel saiyans on another planet, the fighting had finally subsided, and peace was restored again. Zilo had been gone for several years, in fact, he hadn't even been back to see his family, or the people he loved, in nearly eight years. Zilo had gone back ahead of the prison ship, that held the saiyans that had been taken prisoner during the rebellion, when he had arrived back on New Vegeta, everything had changed. There had been debris everywhere. The current colony had been under attack, seeing his old home being apart of the carnage, the young saiyan had rushed into the saiyan's royal chamber. Only to find, a woman sitting upon the thrown. It was the man he was familiar with, when he had first left his home. Instead, it seemed that she was the mans child, and her name was Akassa.
Their first meeting was sort of rough, as the guards had tried to stop him, but being stuck on the home world, they hadn't been out fighting like Zilo had been. They seemed to even have grown weaker, at least that was what the half breed had assumed. The queen had dismissed them from holding onto the young half breed, only to show her interest in him was slightly off. As if she didn't really care that he had been there at first. The two where exchanging a rather harsh meeting, as he was still in disbelief that she was now the queen. Which only meant that she had killed the king. The one he was on the mission for. She had him relay the information about what had happened at the rebel planet. Which caused them to get into another heated conversation. It seemed she was wanting him to get back to work immediately.
In the end, it turned into her allowing Zilo to go on his own personal mission, as weak as he had been already, just getting back from one that had taken up most of his life, he didn't even take the time to relax. He had left instantly that night, to find his family. The queen had told him that, when the as they had called themselves the priest or church attacked, that most of the residential area had been destroyed. He had started there, finding several different things. Bones of those that appeared to be burned to death, some of the bones belonging to infants and children, as if they had been sleeping when the attack happened. There was some buildings that had traces of a struggle that had happened inside, all of this was mute to the half breed. He knew that there was only one place that'd tell the story of what happened to his own family, and that was going to his old house. Of course, it was kind of hard to find which direction to go, as everything laid in ruins, but being on the poorer side of the community, it wasn't hard to remember which streets to turn down.
Zilo was meet with extreme disappointment, when had had found his home, it had been completely destroyed, but there had been no remains, meaning that his family had been either taken, or moved during the fighting. Either for imprisonment, or just for shits and giggle to be dumped elsewhere. For four months, the half breed had searched the remains of the ruined city, as soldiers, and one man in particular seemed to rebuild what was once destroyed. That's when he had gotten a lead. There had been a ship that was carrying the saiyan survivors to a different planet within the system, it was said they had been shipped out, so that they could prevent further casualties. Rushing to his travel pod, the half breed didn't even bother reporting to the queen, of his absence, he would probably be reprimanded for it later, then again, she didn't even know him, and he hadn't even been a blimp on the radar for more than maybe thirty minutes of her life, when she had came down to him, and meet him face to face. Though at the time, the half breed hated to admit it, she was kind of cute, even if she was tall for a female.
The journey took about three weeks within the pod, his bones becoming stiff, his heart pounding from time to time, asking himself different questions, about what if his family wasn't there? What would he do if he found them? They no longer had any business being back on New Vegeta, they had been refugee's as soon as they stepped on the evacuation ship. Suddenly a beep and a robotic voice echoed through the pod alarming him, that he should be landing at any moment now. It seemed to be a strange idea, to think that they could be here, if not... Then he wouldn't have another lead. Upon landing with a ground shaking thud. He wasted no time, throwing up the lid and looking around. Several civilians looked at him, slightly confused by the young saiyan. They weren't expecting anyone from the army landing today, and they sure weren't expecting him to look ragged, and exhausted as he had. Even with three weeks of travel. Though afraid at this time his journey was for naught. His family hadn't made it onto the ship.
Zilo resigned to the fact, that if they hadn't made it, and he had no trace of their existence any longer, then they had perhaps been slaughtered else where... (Spoiler- His sister is alive.) Taking the chance he had, the young male decided to stay here for a while, in hopes that they magically showed up. He stayed for around a month, talking and laughing with the civilians, until it was time for him to return. It had been some where around 5 months or so since he's seen the queen. If within 5 months he hadn't found his family, then the mission he was on was futile. Though in all reality, the queen probably didn't even notice his disappearance, and the fact that his pod had been missing without any authorization. In all honesty, she had only meet him once. Resigning to his fate, the half breed loaded back up into the pod, waving goodbye to everyone, before heading off towards the royal palace. "I suppose, it's time to meet the Queen again." He said with a defeated sigh.
