“Seventy-five times gravity activated.” AEVA spoke through the intercom. Model Zero’s long golden hair tightens a moment after, stretching towards the ground as if someone were pulling on it. Clack! His heavy armor constricts, coming together and filling any space which previously existed between him and his body. His face was stern and sullen as always, not a single emotion would break his piercing gaze. Gaze. Gazing at nothing. The room he was in was the same every time, nothing changed. Nothing needed to change, only he needed to change. He needed to become stronger and surpass his limits; that was why every time he entered the gravity chamber he yearned to increase its effects by at least five. His life’s goal was not nearly as simple as they had first thought, no, he would need to transcend past his mediocre training and cross the line between frequent and extreme.
The saiyans, they were like roacher –strong roaches. Back on Mement Mor he had witnessed the great Invictus Maneo fall to two new super saiyans; Conri Lane and Ninjin Hattori. The moment Zero witnessed their transformation, he realized he was absolutely no match. Not yet anyway.
And then, the former heir to the saiyan throne gave up his life, and Zero thought that was one less saiyan he would have to deal with. He soon learned that he was terribly wrong, for Ninjin Hattori had returned from his grave stronger than ever! Zero clenched his fists. He couldn’t understand how such a thing was even possible. Why him? Why a saiyan? If they could come back from the depths of hell, then was there even a point to all of this? Were they, for all intents and purposes, immortal?
Suddenly, Zero’s surroundings morphed right before his eyes. The simulator had been activated, generating a random sequence of events with a predetermined algorithm. The android had been placed within the Elven Forest. Towering trees enclosed him and covered the sky with their long branches and green leaves. Light from the sun filtered from the canopy above, illuminating spots on the trail below. Zero started walking, surveying the environment for any abnormalities. His steps were slow, deep and heavy due to the increased gravity and his hefty armor. Twigs and dead branches snapped under his feet. Rustle! Rustle! Zero glares to the side and launches a ki blast into some nearby bushes. They were just mystical forest creatures scurrying around. He hadn’t struck any of them, just scared them away. The bushes were gone though…
Zero got tired of the game quick. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong, did the simulator make a mistake? Sometimes the random events generated by the machine resulted in a dud, created a dead-end session with no real purpose. Ivan was working on a fix. The android put his new sensing abilities to the test and closed his eyes. Thanks to Delashano’s training and instructions, Model Zero had finally learned how to harness the energy within and around him. All living creatures possessed this ‘life force’ which identified them; the trees, the grass, and the even the ants within the soil –however, Zero was not focusing on something so small and specific, he searched for the energy of someone who rivaled his own. His eyes shot open. “What?”
Model Zero took to the skies and dug through the canopy. Above him the sky was clear and blue, the planet’s beautiful asteroid belt orbiting the planet as it was supposed to –but there was something else up there, and they were many. Zero’s pupils dilate as his eyes witness what appeared to be a fleet of ships approaching Lupin IV. This was new. Apparently Ivan wanted Zero to prepare himself for the possibility of an invasion. Without wasting anymore time, Zero would burst through the sky and climb a path out of the planet’s atmosphere. In space, temperatures fluctuated between its two extremes and there was no air; however, Zero was an android and thus he could withstand the strenuous environment. Only a simulation would allow you to fly in the void of space with seventy-five g’s pounding down on your body.
Once Zero exited the planet’s atmosphere, he was met face to face with an entire fleet of ships bearing the flag of the saiyan empire. To his right, Queen Akassa Hattori of New Vegeta; to his left, Emperor Ninjin Hattori of Alpha Prime. The simulator had somehow generated the event Zero foresaw. With the two Hattori’s still alive, the android feared that challenging one would incite the other. Individually he was sure to succeed, but if they’re together, that was another story...
And even then, the simulator neglected many other possible foes that could interfere and even sabotage his goals: Conri Lane, Kurosanai Muzai, William Watson, along with any allies they may have. Evidently, Zero needed to make more allies or pit them against each other with some kind of mischievous plot.
Ninjin and Akassa left their battleships and approaching the android within the depths of space. Of course, if this were truly outer space, they would not be able to stand before him as they did. Maybe he should ambush them during a voyage and have them be sucked out into the void of space? A moment later, the Hattori siblings yelled out in anger and their golden auras burst as each ascended to the infamous super saiyan. Their eyes turned teal and their hair golden like his own. Their strength unfathomable. Model Zero ascended to his override state, but it was still no match for the might of their strength. Short of wielding his saber, the android was instantly sucker punched by the woman as she appeared next to him so fast he had not detected her until it was too late. This was not even half of what the real experience would be like and the android was already spiraling uncontrollably towards the fleets.
A dozen purple lights flickered on each ship, all aiming at the android’s trajectory, calculating a point of intersection before unleashing multiple lazers on him. Model Zero used his zanzoken ability to temporarily accelerate and evade the first lazer, then he used his dashing ability to fade through a close call and his saber to strike down another lazer as it approached him. The android maneuvered between the purple beams, avoiding potentially considerable damage. However, the beams only distracted him from his real targets. Ninjin engaged him soon after the star shower had ended, breaking the ice with a roundhouse kick to the stomach. Zero drifted back, his body temporarily stunned by the saiyan’s overwhelming power. Ninjin followed up on his kick with a series of rapid punches. The android was not in pain, but his body would not respond. Before he could move a limb, it was already hindered by the saiyan’s onslaught. It was as if he were taking one step forward and two steps back.
With one hard uppercut, the android was propelled upwards. Up with respect to Ninjin of course, there was no clear direction in the void of space. Akassa would appear soon after and kick Zero in the back, sending him the other way as the two super saiyans began to play extreme soccer with the defenseless android. Somewhere in-between the constant shifting and tossing around, Zero found the opportunity to strike and launched a quick energy wave with one of his hands. His Hell’s Flash hit Ninjin head on, but the super saiyan emerged completely unscathed. Even his clothing remained intact thanks to the protective layer of his golden aura. Steam rising from his skin was the most Zero could muster. Instead of hitting the android again, Ninjin caught him with a hand around his thin neck and grinned widely.
In the grapple, the gem on Zero’s forehead began to emanate a teal hue as he attempted to absorb the super saiyan’s excess power; however, it was Wrath all over again. The saiyan’s energy was so vast it might as well be ‘unlimited’, liking drinking water with a straw from a bottomless gourd. Ninjin Hattori smirked ominously and tossed the android up again; except this time, him and his sister charged their own energy waves from different angles and unleashed it upon the android. The two energy waves converged in a display of great power and calamity, bursting into a cloud of smoke. Zero was starting to lose pieces from his armor, his body bruised and worn from the one-sided beating. If he couldn’t even defeat simulations, what chance did he have against the real thing? In fact, he probably wouldn’t have lasted this long if he were facing the real Hattoris.
Zero grimaced at the two super saiyans as they floated below him with those smug looks on their faces. Looking back at the fleet of ships which continued to get ever closer, the android opted to fly straight into its formation. The Hattori siblings followed after him, playing along for the moment. The android veered past the lazer beams fired at him. The ships ended up attacking each other as he passed by. With his saber in hand, Zero attempted to breach the side of the spaceship by piercing its metal with his blade, but it was easily deflected. Intuitively, Zero discerned that he needed to enhance his sword’s power somehow. With Delashano’s teachings in mind, Zero learned how to control the flow of ki throughout his body and change its concentration in certain places. However, what he hadn’t attempted as of yet was to treat the sword as an extension of himself.
Model Zero focused his energy, still flying away from the super saiyans and channeled the very energy into his saber. The sword was manufactured by Ivan’s corporation on Alpha Prime. It was designed to generate energy for Zero, because he couldn’t harness it at the time –they weren’t even sure he could! But now, Zero how the ability to amplify the energy already within the sword by stacking his own over it. The saber’s uniform edge suddenly burst with excess power, as if a second layer of energy had enveloped his blade. The rest was pure clairvoyance. Zero knew exactly what to do by just looking at the vibrant glow leaking from his weapon. Suddenly, the sword was able to cut through the ships thick metal like butter. Explosions would soon fill the celestial sky as the android broke through their hulls and shattered their defense mechanisms. Ninjin and Akassa will still trailing behind him, the saiyans were enjoying their cruise and held no regard for the many soldiers they were losing. The android wondered if they were truly that way in person.
Stopping abruptly, Model Zero curved up and around in a full circle while swinging his saber at their direction. With the whip-like motion, a crescent ki slash emerged from his blade and swept over the super saiyans. Unfortunately, although the technique itself was rather powerful, Zero’s overall power-level was too low compared to the duo. Akassa and Ninjin broke through the crescent slash with little effort and simultaneously punched the android with one final strike in the face. The android’s body rippled slowly before getting propelled a machs speeds back into the planet’s atmosphere. Suddenly, pressure was back, heat as he dropped like a comet, the momentum earned by the super saiyan’s attack was so overwhelming he could barely only his eyes or twitch a finger. In just moment, the android would hit the ground, causing a great shockwave across the land of Avalon. The ground shattered and became cratered, a crater large enough to extinguish an entire city if it weren’t for the spacious plains of Avalon. Vacant homes were certainly destroyed along with anyone who may have been within miles –but fortunately this was a simulation.
Zero was thoroughly defeated. Will it be so when the time comes that they must truly face one another?

Kikoukenjutsu – The main technique of the titular sword school of channeling ki through swords. This allows the user to reinforce their weapon of choice, making its strikes deadlier as well as the blade itself more durable. The energy channeling through the weapon can also be cast off as a crescent ki slash with terrible potential.
