Ohkara needed some time to herself. The last week had been a stressful one; there had been so much going on, she needed some quiet to process everything. Her stress level was at it's maximum, and it showed, large dark bags under her eyes, pale-skin, no make-up, and her hair! What a mess!; hanging down freely instead of being kept up, it looked like it hadn't been brushed for at least a full day. Things had gotten so bad she couldn't even sleep at night, and that's when we find her.
Strolling though the beautiful plains of Gengoro Island, her posture was poor; she almost looked like a zombie in the twilight, her dark leather jacket dropping, the bottom of her pants wet from the dew on the grass, the only pop of color her bright yellow umbrella; her garb a statement to her gloomy mood. It had to be about four or five in the morning; Ohkara didn't remember to take her cellphone, so the real time had gotten lost as she carelessly wondered the open lands of Gengoro.
This was the first time she'd ever been to the islands, and giving her current awake-ness, she figured there would be no better time. Stopping in the center of the open field, she laid down in the wet grass, gazing up at the stars as they were devoured by the beautiful blue sky that was waking up. The smell of the sea was strong in the air, but the smell of the flowers in the meadow were even stronger. This place was really as nice as everyone had said, “A true 'Garden of Paradise',” she said aloud, quoting something she'd read in a newspaper. It was, and she would enjoy it for as long as she could, continuing to piece things together inside her mind.

Kaneki had been up gazing at the moon from his favorite perch in a tree, which made its home on top of a small hill which overlooked the pasture of flowers and wild grass. It was literally a sea of exotic foliage and plant life that was only exclusive to the area. The aroma that was given off by so many unique brothers and sisters of vibrant colored petals could only be compared to heaven.
The essence of each flower would invade your senses taking you to a place of sweet serenity and peace. This is why Kaneki, a young boy who had no memory of his birth but only knew he had a purpose, watched at the moon and stars to see if he could find the answers he is looking for. As a gentle breeze brushed his snow colored, spiky hair playfully his sharp eyes caught hold of a bright yellow umbrella.
The young boy could only see a silhouette of a figure amongst the flowers as he or she was wearing dark clothing. Curious as always, Kaneki stood on the branch he was currently resting on and grinned intensely. Stretching his arms up to the star ocean, he cracked his neck, slid his right index figure under his nose and jumped from the tree over to the location of the umbrella.
As the bio android soared through the air he could get a better glimpse of the figure that was sitting in the wet, field of flowers. It was a female and she had beautiful features from what he could tell. Landing directly in front of the girl Kaneki, swiped down at a couple of blue and yellow flowers and held them out to the female. His eyes were closed and he had a smile that stretched from ear to ear as he took a deep breath.
“My name is Kei Kaneki! I don’t know how old I am or what my purpose is but whatever it is it is going to be great!” He proclaimed as he threw up his index and middle finger dawning the peace sign with pride.

The place was so serene and it reminded her of a dream she used to have. Something that had faded, but suddenly sprang back into existence; only for it the leave a feeling like a thought stuck on the tip of your tongue. As the young woman's thoughts began to wonder though just about everything, her eyes closed and she felt like she was lost to the world.
THUMP!
His landing brought the girl back to the realm of reality. Her eyes sprang open, her hand shooting for the handle of her umbrella, however her guard lowered the instant the stranger scooped up some flowers and offered them to her, “My name is Kei Kaneki! I don’t know how old I am or what my purpose is but whatever it is it is going to be great!” He exclaimed, giving her the peace sign like a playful child.
Ohkara studied him for a second; he was just a kid, couldn't be much older than ten or eleven. His hair was snow white, and hung in chaotic icicle-like strands around his face. The girl couldn't help but smile kindly to him, she had a soft spot for children, especially ones that had been abandoned. Though this was an assumption, the fact was he was alone, so early in the morning on a deserted island; being experienced with being alone, she had a feeling this boy was an orphan.
Sitting up, she politely took the flowers from the boy's hand, and raised them to her nose to inhale their aroma, “Thank you, Kei Kaneki,” she told him, lowering the flowers and raising a hand to offer a handshake, “My name is Ohkara Minamaru. It is a pleasure to meet you!” her tone was kind, maybe even motherly; she wanted to help this boy and make sure he stayed safe, ”May I ask how it is you ended up all alone here?”

“Thank you, Kei Kaneki. My name is Ohkara Minamaru. It is a pleasure to meet you! May I ask how it is you ended up all alone here?” She replied kindly accepting the flowers Kaneki had given her. Opening his eyes he revealed them to be slate gray and they made contact with the sunflower petal mirrors of the soul. He could feel a warmth in them that resonated with his soul, stunning him for a second as he tried to catch his breath.
Her forest green hair shimmered in the starlit sky and all Kaneki could do was outstretch his hand and gripped hers, shaking vigorously up and down.
“OHKARA-SAN! I am your little brother and I will protect you from anyone or anything that might try and harm!” Kaneki promised releasing her hand doing a hands free back flip, landing perfectly on some daisies causing white petals to scatter in the twilight breeze.
“I am not sure how I got here? But the people in the town are really nice and have let me stay here. They are all trying to help me find my parents.” Kaneki said as he pointed his finger at the moon.
“I just know that my father said I was supposed to do something great and whatever that may be Ohkara-san I will do it!” The young bio android paused as he took a closer look at the female he was now declaring his older sister.
He jump back shocked as if to have seen a ghost and pointing his finger at Ohkara began to shout. “MAYBE YOU ARE WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FOR!? MAYBE I’M SUPPOSED TO PROTECT YOU!” Kaneki shouted at the top of his lungs having so care about his noise level.

Taking her hand, the show-white-haired boy shook it vigorously, “OHKARA-SAN! I am your little brother and I will protect you from anyone or anything that might try and harm!” He shouted, then released her hand, performing an acrobatic back flip and gracefully landing on a patch of flowers behind him. She giggled at the boy as he showed off; there was no doubt in her mind that that was exactly what he was doing.
“I am not sure how I got here? But the people in the town are really nice and have let me stay here. They are all trying to help me find my parents,” he said, pointing a slinder finger towards the bright moon in the sky, “I just know that my father said I was supposed to do something great and whatever that may be Ohkara-san I will do it!”
Smiling, Ohkara stood up and stretched, watching the boy as he seemed to eye her, then suddenly he blurted out, “MAYBE YOU ARE WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FOR!? MAYBE I’M SUPPOSED TO PROTECT YOU!”
Jumping back with surprise at the sudden outburst, Ohkara hastily placed a finger against her lips, “Ssssshhhhh...” she scolded, “It's not polite to be so loud so early in the morning,” she reminded him, fitting the role of being called a big sister to a tee. Giggling quietly, she smiled kindly to show him she wasn't upset, “But how can I say no to such a kind offer?” she asked, shrugging her shoulders, “however,” she added after a brief pause, “I'm not sure I need protecting from anything at the moment.” Kindly, the girl stepped forward, hand extending for an attempt to gently ruffle the boy's hair, “That's okay though, I would love your company, if you'd like to chat.”

Kaneki was intrigued how he learned a lesson in being polite. Until now he had no idea what it meant to be polite or to care about others. In his mind he only existed with an important mission that he did not truly know. So focusing his slate colored eyes at his mow lifted hands. He clasped them together and focused his ki into both his palms creating a memento for his self-proclaimed big sister.
His ability to materialize items from nothing came from his Makio cells. This ability came in handy when he needed a bed and other items to live on his own. Kaneki was now using his magic to weave a necklace make of six jade gems interlaced through an ebony string. Opening his hand the cosmic light from the star ocean and moon reflected upon it causing it to shimmer with a lime green hue.
The white haired bio android smiled and with his eyes closed handed it over to Ohkara. “Here you go Onee-san this is for you. It is a little something I made that has some of my essence inside it. Promise you will wear it and never forget me.” Kaneki said as he bowed his head and upon standing erect placed his arms behind his back resting his head in the back of his hands.
“Ohkara-san? What is your mission in this life? What is it that keeps to motivated to live each day to the fullest?” Kaneki asked opening his eyes peering deep into Ohkara’s, yearning to learn more about the woman he had met.

A look of surprise washed over Ohkara's face as the young boy closed his hands and began to fill them with Ki. Using her ability to sense ki, she had no problem reading the boy's energy which was at a power level of about twenty-seven-thousand. The realization surprised her even more; she had not expected such a high energy signature from such a young child. As she watched him closely, the boy opened his clasped hands to reveal a necklace.
The stones sparkled as the twilight reflected off of them, and Ohkara couldn't help but smile at their beauty. Turning, the boy handed the necklace to her, “Here you go Onee-san, this is for you,” he told her, “It is a little something I made that has some of my essence inside it. Promise you will wear it and never forget me.”
A quiet giggle left her lips as she gently took the necklace, and slipped it over her head. Coming to rest in plain sight atop her breast, a finger jumped up and gently twisted it around so each stone was visible, “It's beautiful, Kei; Thank you.” She told him, her hand again reaching to ruffle his hair, “You're a ladies man, aren't you?” She asked him, nothing but kindness on her face, “A real lady-killer, I bet,” she added.
“Ohkara-san? What is your mission in this life? What is it that keeps to motivated to live each day to the fullest?” The boy asked, changing the subject. It was quite a deep question for a ten-year-old, but Ohkara didn't seem to mind. Placing a finger to her bottom lip in thought, she paused before answering, “Well...” Though the question didn't actually need much thought, Ohkara always seemed to have a hard time finding the right words, “People like you, Kei,” She told him with a bright smile, “I guess you could say that, at least... I live to protect our beautiful planet, along with everyone that lives here.”
Taking a knee, Ohkara's bright yellow eyes looked deeply into Kei's, “I am motivated each time I meet a kind-hearted person, like you. I guess you could say that I have made it my 'mission' to make sure that you, and each person out there on this big sphere can continue to live on in happiness,” Standing up and stepping away, she tilted her head to the side, index finger returning to her lips, “Does that make any sense, or was I rambling?”
