“Good Morning, Frigid”
“Ugggghhh...” The Icejin groaned, turning over on the cold floor, “... Good morning, Aura.” This was normal wake-up call from Aura. It meant that it was time time, once again, to start training.
Since he'd purchased his Gravity Chamber, he'd literally moved in and began using it as a house. The locking doors, portability, and the company of the friendly AI felt so much more comfortable than living in a cramped apartment. Plus, the Icejin was going to end up spending most of his time locked away in the chamber, so it just made sense.
“What's our status?” the Icejin asked, though honestly he didn't need any of the information, he was just trying to keep in the habit of asking and staying updated.
“Morning routine in progress. Gradually increasing gravity from five-times, to ten.”
Standing up from his makeshift bed of sheets on the floor, Frigid let out a yawn, stretching his back out in a backwards arch, his arms out straight to either side. A loud series of pops and snaps radiated from his back, no doubt a protest to sleeping on the floor under the increased gravity.
Straightening himself back out, he let out a dry chuckle, the thought that perhaps five-times gravity overnight wasn't such a good idea passing through his mind. However, he felt that he'd been slacking off lately, and had hoped to make training today a bit easier by getting himself used to the strain it put on his body. Since he'd moved in he'd kept a constant five-times on, however only recently had he started keeping it on overnight.
It hadn't bothered his sleeping, Frigid slept like a rock most the time anyways; however, now that the Icejin was awake, he felt rather stiff and sore, “Oh well!” He shouted, easing himself into his daily warm-up routine, “At least this way I should be able to just jump right into training!”
And after an hour of the gravity slowly raising, it would even itself out, just as Frigid finished his warm-up. Now, in ten-times gravity, the Icejin felt much more comfortable than the first time. His muscles were strong and had little problem allowing him the freedom of jumping around the room like a madman, engaged in some sort of acrobatic frenzy.
Landing hard on his feet after a wall-run-back-flip, Frigid let out a huff, followed by staggered breath. Had it just been the added gravity, the Icejin weighed nearly a ton, even in base form; however, with the added weight of his training gear, he knew he weighted well over that. Even with all that strain, it was no enough. Frigid needed more, and without the proper strain, his body would stop improving. The idea was crazy, but he would turn the gravity up even further. He was ready for a taste of fifteen-times normal gravity.
The increase would make him weight close to three-thousand pounds, a feat what could kill him if he was unprepared, “Push the gravity to fifteen, Aura!” Frigid demanded, only after taking a second to catch his breath, “Give me training parameters: Epsilon. Golf. Omega.”
“Fifteen times gravity initiated, twenty-four hour lock down commencing, “ Aura told him, finished with the loud knock of the locking deadbolt, “Brace yourself.”
Frigid bent his knees and tensed his muscles as a familiar red light illuminated the room, accompanied by a ear-piercing hum. The gravity increased suddenly, and Frigid nearly buckled; however, with nothing short of a miracle, the Icejin somehow stood firm.
“Gravity stabilized. Twenty-four hour countdown initiated,” The AI informed him, the chamber returning to a much more peaceful state.
“Then... Let's Begin!” Frigid grunted, beginning his exercises. Each of his moves were forced, driven to beat the force of the increased gravity. He could feel his bones creaking against the strain they were under. Nevertheless, the Icejin pushed all of that aside, gritting his teeth as he carried on. He knew things could only get better from where he was.
Breaks included, it took twelve hours for Frigid to adjusted to the gravity. Finishing up an intense set of acrobatic flips and rolls, he landed on the balls of his feet with a loud “Thump!”, his arms stretched out to either side, erect like an Olympic gymnast. With harsh, staggered breath, a smiled crossed his face, “Y-yeah,” he huffed, lowering his arms to his sides, “I think... I'm finally ready...” Puming a fist into the air, he mentally prepared himself for what he would go through next, “Warm-ups are over! Let's get to the real stuff!” He roared, his golden Ki bursting into life around him, swirling around his feet in a powerful vortex.
“Shields are up. You are good to go,” Aura told him, having prepared the chamber for what Frigid was going to put it through.
Two bright orbs of golden ki appeared in the Icejin's hands. Smirking, he quickly pivoted on his heel, sending himself into a twirl. Whipping his wrists to either side, the Hell Grenades leaped from his hands, flying towards the walls at opposite ends of the room. As the conceded they ricocheted back, speed doubling as they shot towards Frigid.
With little time to react, blade of ki bursted to life from Frigid's forearms. Instincts taking over, the blade whip back, just in time to meet the blasts and slice them in half. However, instead of bursting out of existence, the severed pieces of the Hell Grenade continue on, now doubling the amount of bouncing projectiles from two to four.
Repeating the process over and over, Frigid fought the deadly spheres. Each cut he made only adding to the amount of speed and power he'd have to put out. Sweat flung from his body as he moved, blood exploding from the small wounds the balls made on contact with his armored hide. There was no doubt what he was doing was pushing him to his limits, but the objective was to surpass that. He had to do better.
“Geeeyaaaaah!” He roared as a tiny-ball-bearing like sphere ripped itself through his tail. The hundreds of small projectiles flew towards him like buckshot, ready to rip him to pieces. Eyes narrowing, Frigid pushed all his pain aside, he had to react, of this was it; he would die.
His right hand shot out in front of him, ready to take the attack on. Too drained physically to form a true barrier, it looked like his time was numbered, however with shear willpower and determination, he let out a shout of objection, “Death's Buckler!” He roared, a small shield of golden ki forming from his palm. As the buckshot connected, it was detonated, the force of the explosion directed outwards, away from it and the Icejin. Then, as quickly as it formed, the shield vanished.
A look of pure shock crossed his face, he was unaware he had such a technique; however he was no doubt pleased with it's sudden arrival. Slumping to his knees, Frigid tried to catch his breath, not only was he exhausted, but the near death experience was enough to send him over the top. His chest heaved in and out as he replayed the event over and over in his head. Thousands of ideas came to mind as he thought about how he could use in in combat. Wondering what it would be like if he used it to parry, the Icejin winced, with the explosive detonation it had given off, he couldn't imagine the kind of damage it might do to a hand of foot.
Slowly standing back up, Frigid had finally collected himself. Ready to start again, he formed two more Hell Grenades in his hands, flinging them at the walls. As the bounced back, the Icejin spead his hands out and let out an “Hyah!” two bucklers of golden ki forming just in time to connect with the spheres, and detonate them.
Repeating the process, Frigid was determined to get to the point he could form these shields in an instant; and even practiced detonated multiple balls in close quarters, the only way he could think to simulate hand-to-hand combat. As he honed his skilled with his new technique, the clock ticked on, until suddenly, the deadbolt-lock in the door snapped back open, loudly interrupting the Icejin's training session. Letting out a last loud howl, he formed another Death's Buckler, just in time to protect himself from a deadly assault of powerful buckshot. Chiming in through the speakers was Aura's robotic voice, “Epsilon. Golf. Omega. Complete. Twenty-four hour lock-down concluded. I hope you training finds you well.”
Frigid let out a dry chuckle, stretching out as the gravity hastily dropped back to five-times, then slowly stabilized back out at regular. His body felt completely weightless, and with a stupid grin plastered on his face, he jumped around the room with ease, shaming his earlier gymnastic fenzy, “This is great! I feel to powerful! So fast!” he roared, hooting and hollering as he bounced off the ceiling and walls.
Silently landing in the center of the room, Frigid rose a hand and pumped it back, “Woohoo!” he shouted in victory. If he kept this training up, he would far surpass Conri, Ninjin and just about anyone else! But first...
His nose twitched as a fragrance brushed by his nose. With a twinge of disgust, the Icejin shook his head, “I better go find a shower!” he exclaimed with surprise, the door to the gravity chamber opening in front of him. Stepping out of the chamber, he pressed the “Capsule” button, and the building returned it it's pill-shaped form. Scooping it up and replacing it in the cloth pouch that hung from his pants, Frigid took to the air and headed off to find a shower somewhere. “Note to self... Have a shower installed in my gravity chamber...”

Death's Buckler -
Tier 2 (Energy Sheild: Barrier)
Attack Level: (Possibly)Master(?)
User forms a segmented, disc-like shield a few inches from their palm. This attack is primarily a defensive technique. When used against energy attacks, upon contacted, the said attack is detonated, resulting in a very short-ranged explosion that deflects away from the user. However, this technique can also be used to parry melee, or close quarter attacks. Acting the same, upon contact with the shield there is a detonation, causing a moderate amount of damage to the attacker. Can be used to negate one attack before vanishing; two post cool down.
(Of course, changed can be made to the technique if needed.)
