Frigid let out a sigh as he paced around his gravity chamber. He had the gravity worked up to twenty-times; a feat that took him well over the normal amount of time to conquer. However, defying all the odds he'd been able to master the intense pressure of the gravity. Even in his Base form, Frigid weighed nearly two tons, and his weights weren't helping him weigh any less. He could feel his bones creak and his muscles burning with each movement he took. This was the most intense gravity Frigid had felt thus far.
However, he wasn't done. Bending his knees, then straightening them up a few times, Frigid prepared himself to start his actual training. He was now feeling confident enough to truly begin the exercise. Leaping into the air, the Icejin's body arching in the air to propel him into a back flip. It was as if he was in slow motion as he spun, and when his feet touched the ground a cocky smile crossed his face; however, it would only last a split-second.
As he landed, his realized in this gravity he was slightly top-heavy. His torso continued to swing, sending him into a second spin, and causing his head to connect with the marble floor. The world went dark, and the Icejin slumped over; the force instantly knocking him out. In such intense gravity, the force of the hit was just too much for the unsuspecting Icejin.
Finally coming back into consciousness, the Icejin's eyes slowly fluttered open. His body was sprawled out on the ground, unable to move. Letting out a deep breath, it took nearly everything the Icejin had to move his hand to his head, which felt like it had been split open. Running his fingers against his thick hide and cyan dome, he noted there was no damage, however his migraine told him otherwise.
“What happened?” he grunted, though it was a question that would go unanswered. Sighing, the Icejin twisted his overly-heavy body to the side, until his stomach was touching the cool floor. His hands grabbed at the marble and he gritted his teeth together; trying to get up in a push-up like stance. Though it took him a few tries, and his face connected with the floor just as harshly as his head had at least once, he made it to his feet.
Increasing his power to his maximum, Frigid began his flips again. This time, he wouldn't stumble. He'd learned from his mistake, and it showed as he jumped and spun around the room like a madman. Back flips, front flips, and handstands, all gracefully executed with amazing precision and skill. A look of determination was plastered on his face, and sweat flew off his thick Icejin hide with each movement.
Grinding to a stop, the Icejin skidded across the room like a stone skipping across a lake. He feet grounded into the floor and if it had not been for the reinforced marble tiles, there is no doubt he would have dug deeply into the floor. Turning around so he face away from the walls and back to the center of the room, Frigid closed his eyes and exhaled. It was time for a breather.
His chest swelled and deflated as he rested for a second. There was a weird feeling in the back of his mind though. Exploring it, the Icejin felt as if he was gauging the whole world. Somehow he could feel the power levels from people as they walked past his gravity chamber. It was a sensation he'd never experienced before. Exploring this deeper, Frigid realized he could actually gauge the exact power levels. Perhaps that fall had jiggled something loose inside his head.
Whatever the case, Frigid was excited about this new ability. His eyes snapped open for a second, to see if maybe he was dreaming; however, he realized this was not the case as even with his eyes open, he could feel the energies radiating from each living being. Beaming brightly, the Icejin attempted something he'd never done before. Feeling all the energies around him, the Icejin began to draw his own energy back. Drawing it further and further back, he could feel his signature fading; however this fading stopped as if reached about halfway. This was no problem for the Icejin, though who only smiled as he stood there.
Not only could he sense the energies of those around him; he could now also mask his own signature to about half-way. Both of these new techniques were ones that would no doubt come in handy in the future. It seemed that all this training was good for something other then strengthening the Icejin's power; it made him ponder exactly what else he could accomplish as he continued his training.
However, for the time being Frigid would have to push his excitement to the side. It was still time for training. He could gawk and awe at his new abilities later. Shaking his head, the Icejing put is focus back at the task at hand. He was going to master twenty-times gravity, just as he had mastered the levels below it.
Familiar golden orbs of ki formed in his hands, which were lobbed at the walls of the room. Of course, the would bounce off and ricochet back at him. And of course, with a skillfully formed Death Blade, they would be slashed, doubling the number of deadly projectiles that hectically bounced around the room. However, this time the Icejin wouldn't primarily focus on attacking; this time he would be putting his focus in evasion. He needed to increase his speed, and what better way to do that than risk his life with each move.
He was pushing himself to become better in every way he could. And it showed as he progressed, having upped the amount of spheres to about twenty; he felt that was a fitting number. And even though the chamber was a fairly large one, the speedy hell grenades were more than fast enough to fill the room and make Frigid stay on his toes.
Each and every move he made had to be a fluid one; all of which he had to be sure of. His brain was on fire as it tried to process each orb, and decide when to move, flip, spin, or duck. This training was more intense than anything he'd ever put himself through. And hopefully it was all going to pay off.
Letting out a roar, the Icejin formed a bubble of golden ki around his body, protecting him as all twenty spheres pelted him at the same time. The explosion of ki was miraculous, and there was no doubt the Icejin's power had to be at its maximum to hold his shield against the barrage. But as always, the threat faded, and he was able to lower his shield as the energy settled. Turning towards the door, Frigid could feel the gravity lifting off his body; and could hear the dead-bolt unlock.
He'd been in the gravity for twenty-four hours straight, and he'd managed to make a fairly good amount of progress in doing so. Though his training theories were erratic, even deadly, he was confident this what exactly what he needed to finally break through the barriers that held him back. Each time he did this he felt like he'd reached a new plateau, and this time was no different.
Instinctively exiting his chamber, capsuling it, and scooping it up, the Icejin faded into the traffic of the Omega Collective. Like always, he'd shower, then roam the side-streets for a tasty treat from a food vendor in celebration of his newly found strength. However, this time, he would do so all while suppressing his energy, and sensing out each and every level of those he passed. He felt like a different person; like he was a spy or something. The feeling was one of comfort; something he hadn't felt in a long time...
