The King’s Castle was by the far the largest building that Kurosanai had ever laid eyes on. The ornate architecture was like that of stories that he had heard of when he was little. He had been told by his mother Ai that the King’s Palace had stood for centuries and was constructed when the Muzai were just a fledgling clan barely learning how to fight. She said they had spared no expense in its construction as it would house the King of the Earth within its walls. Kurosanai could not agree with his mother more taking a look at the materials he was looking at. The floors were of beautiful polished marble, the curtains and drapes of the finest fabrics which the staff did not appreciate being touched by the young Muzai prodigy and the grounds were the envy of all to see them. Few got to actually enter the palace, even fewer got to eat dinner there and only the privileged got the ability to eat dinner with the King. Was Kurosanai one of the privileged? No. Was the woman who sat with him one of the most cunning people on the planet? Yes.
Izanami sat stoically beside the curious prodigy as his eyes darted around the room taking in the splendid colors that made up the décor. The table they sat in front of was that of the finest cherry wood, polished to a shine that Kurosanai could see his reflection in, adorned with a white table cloth and a gold candelabra in the middle of it. Izanami was far from impressed with the young man’s amazement as she sat in a beautiful dress that flattered her curvaceous body with her hair pulled back in two braids that formed a crown around the head as the rest of her jet black hair ran down her back. Any man with half a brain had to fight the urge of having his jaw drop in amazement, so that would count her companion as one of the few that didn’t have a brain. Kurosanai had always found her pretty but never attractive mainly for a couple of reasons. The first being that she was ten years his senior and normally at that age the Muzai women were already married with children. Why she wasn’t married with children spoke to the second reason why he never found her attractive, she was a bitch. She was as cold as ice and often stabbed any man who even attempted to approach her with daggers thrown from her eyes. The few that actually did get close to the new Muzai clan leader were the ones that provided her physical pleasure. The only person that was ever able to get close to her was her father Sarutobi but unfortunately that beloved leader had died recently leaving her in charge.
The fact that her father had died was the reason as to why they sat in this room waiting for the King of Earth. It had always been her father’s dream of raising the Muzai back to the spot they once held and in this pursuit he had sent Izanami out into the world in an attempt establish those connections. Those connections had gotten her this little meeting which she had begrudgingly dragged Kurosanai along for the ride as he was the beloved face of the clan while she was the ruler a fact that never escaped her. Kuro was positive that was the reason as to why she had always treated him so coldly and why she had forced him to fight his peers for over forty minutes straight which left him exhausted. He slept peacefully the entire next day and could not be woken from his rejuvenating slumber.
“So, what provoked you to bring me here today?” Kurosanai probed as he started to stare at the patterns on the ceiling. He had never seen stitching in the ceiling, why would someone spend the time actually stitching something in there?
Izanami snorted as she closed her eyes. She was clearly not happy with the situation. “You are here because it is your duty as well as mine to raise the Muzai back to the status we once were. You have the Aoiro and thus are the best, only example we have of the great power that stills dwells within our bloodline.” She let out a sigh and then snapped her eyes open with a death glare as she took in Kurosanai’s appearance. “I told you to look nice. Why did you not listen to me?” While the daggers once again jutted from her eyes the prodigy didn’t give it a second thought.
He had thought he had indeed looked nice. The young man had made sure that the bandages that wrapped around most of his body were changed to nice new clean ones, that his pants had been washed, his jacket cleaned and that he took a desperately needed shower. Kurosanai was looking the best he had in weeks but he knew that Izanami had no doubt wanted him in some kind of suit that she found respectable looking. Normally a very noble idea but there was one tiny little problem with that plan. Kurosanai didn’t own a suit.
“I think I do look nice. If you wanted me in a suit for the King then you should have taken me shopping for one because I don’t own one.” He laughed innocently as Izanami let out another sigh of contempt for the young prodigy. She hated having to leave part of the clan’s fate on his childish shoulders.

The People. That's what it was all about right? The people of Earth needed a leader, someone they could look to in their time of need. They needed someone with strength, someone with determination, someone who could lead.
Burradori took off his glasses leaned back rubbing his eyes, letting out a very deep sigh. The people of Earth... there certainly were a lot of them weren't there? He tried to keep them all happy, but different groups had different opinions and sometimes they conflicted. It was politics all over. Where was Kamuri when he needed him?
An assistant poked her head into his office. She was one of the interns that ran around delivering the messages of those in higher positions that herself. This was the Kings palace, but it was also his place of political business. Politicians were often seen running around to and from various rooms, the proceedings of the entire Earth demanding their constant attention. The Fuhrer often wished there was more time in the day, or less problems, or less people. No... never that one... Despite taking up all of his waking time he loved his people. Each and every one.
"Sire the pair from the Muzai clan are here for your meeting." She said with the same air of respect and fear that all those that spoke to the king of Earth had. He had obtained his aura of command in military school, quickly working his way through the ranks. It had only intensified with his election as Fuhrer-King.
"Thank you Elezabeth." He stood from his desk and walked out the door towards the meeting. He didn't know what to expect from these people, but had agreed to the meeting regardless. He approached the table with the woman and young man.
"Grettings, I am Fuhrer Buraddori. How can I help you?"

The king entered through the doors on the opposite side of the room. This was the first time that Kurosanai had ever met royalty and frankly it was not what he had expected. The Fuhrer appeared to be a normal man, a strong man by the way his presence felt but a man none the less. After all of the hype he had heard about the Fuhrer he expected someone ten feet tall with muscles the size of two watermelons combined. Now that would be one heck of a ruler in Kurosanai’s opinion. That type of ruler’s very presence would inspire awe and intimidation along with the desire to get the man to the hospital so he could be checked out to be real. Kurosanai let out a slight sigh out of disappointment as Izanami shot him a dirty glance for the move as she stood up from the chair she sat in. Once standing her fingers flicked giving the Muzai prodigy the command to stand up. He fumbled briefly with the chair as he struggled to get to his feet. At one point Kuro actually ended up tripping on his own feet and falling. His head bounced off the table violently as made the most dramatic fall he could. Izanami sighed and pinched her nose.
“Ow…” Kurosanai groaned from the floor as he hands held his head. Izanami was seriously starting to question why he had received the Aoiro out of all of the clan.
“Please excuse my bumbling fool of an associate. It is a pleasure to meet you your highness,” Izanami spoke eloquently as she bowed her head. She was going to have to carry this meeting while Kurosanai figured out how to use his own feet. “We are very humbled to be given the honor of speaking with you,” Izanami said as she bowed her head.
Suddenly, a bandaged hand slammed down on the magnificent table and a groan soon hummed out from beneath it. Kurosanai lifted himself slowly while still holding where he smashed his head with his free hand. Pain coursed through his skull and his eyes rolled as he stood. “Wow, and there is my grace exhibited at its finest.” Kurosanai groaned. He staggered over to the edge of the table ever while Izanami continued to cut into his soul with eye daggers. With a quick movement of his hand he revealed the massive red egg that had begun to form on his forehead. “So this is the Fuhrer?” Kurosanai said as he carelessly sauntered over to the man.
Each step drew more ire from Izanami until he was only a step away from him. Kurosanai could feel Izanami wanted to leap forward and punch him. Instead Kurosanai sized up the older man now. This was the man that removed the former Earth leader Vector. It was hard to imagine the battle that this man went through with the former android leader. He was certainly past his prime and his border bore the scars of former battles. With all that though the man exuded an aura of compassion that made all those around him feel completely comfortable despite his large physique. “I am sorry your majesty please ignore him,” Izanami asked as she took several frustrated steps towards Kurosanai.
Before she was able to reach him though Kurosanai extended his hand out in front of him, “It is a pleasure to meet you your majesty. I have heard much about you from my teachers.” The Muzai prodigy said with a smile. It was one quirk he had, in that he refused to bow to those he just met. It didn’t matter that he didn’t know it was proper etiquette to bow anyways. The gesture was in pure friendship and he hoped that the Fuhrer would respond with a similar gesture.

Truthfully the Fuhrer had no idea what to expect out of this meeting. This was the first time he had ever met anyone from the "Muzai" clan, and was used to any group of people with the word 'clan' in their name being barbarians from the tribes of the plains. Now those were a hard people to get along with. He was surprised to see a young man covered in bandages and a woman seated at his table. The woman rose and signaled the boy to do the same, but instead of rising he fell and smacked his head against the table. The Fuhrer stifled a laugh expertly.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, I'm sorry but I didn't catch your name." She was going to respond but the young man regained his footing dramatically and sauntered over to him clearly sizing him up. The Fuhrer was used to this kind of thing, and met the young boy's eyes with a smile. There was no threat there, and Buraddori wasn't going to make a fool out of either of them by trying to start one.
"The pleasure is all mine young man." Buraddori said with a warm smile, much to the apparent relief of the woman that was with the smaller man. The Fuhrer extended his hand taking the smaller man's hand in his own and he placed his other on top of it. "That's a nasty bump you have there. Would you like some ice?"

Kemuri slammed through the double doors that lead to the meeting room, stopping only to bow to the king, and then recoiled in shock when he saw the kings hand grasped in the hand of a mere boy.
MY LEIGE!
Kemuri yelled in shock, rushing over to the pair and immediately standing in between the king and this ragamuffin who looked like he had marched off the streets, broken and bruised to come and stand before the Fuhrer. Kemuri would not allow this. This was unforgiveable, inexcusable and WRONG. What if the boy had a weapon of some kind? Of course Buraddori could hold his own in any type of fight, but what if the lad tried to poison him? Kemuri would have to build up a relationship with the next Fuhrer King and he had been doing so well with Buraddori, how dare the king not think of Kemuri’s future plans? He gasped when his eyes caught the woman in the room. His muzzle pulled back in a snarl.
Just who in the Fuhrer’s name do you think that you are? Coming here, in front of his highness, dressed like….like THAT. GET OUT. I’m sorry my liege, I may be overstepping my bounds but this is simply wrong. They must leave. They can come back when they are properly dressed and when I have been properly informed of this meeting. My liege…
Kemuri looked over at his king, his face unreadable. Kemuri was genuinely hurt by this move, though he would never say so.
Why wasn’t I informed of this? I’m the Royal Advisor to the Throne. I’m to be present at all meetings, especially ones that concern…
Kemuri looked through his notes, eyeing the woman repeatedly with disgust.
Ones that concern entire RACES of people. Really, my liege. I don’t understand why I wasn’t informed.
He looked over at the woman again, and pulled a scarf from his robe’s pocket.
My lady, please. Cover your….extremities in front of the king. This is just incredibly disrespectful.
He looked over at Buraddori, and sighed. This meeting was going to happen whether he wanted it to or not, but at least he was here to stop anything seriously bad from happening.

And in storms a hyena man thing that is apparently above everyone else. Kurosanai hated people like that. There was no merit to his attitude towards him or Izanami especially since she had gone through all of the proper channels. But apparently it didn’t make it on his agenda and therefore the meeting was not going to happen. He could understand the comment about him somehow hurting the Fuhrer King but after four security checks including one which Kurosanai found entirely too invasive he was pretty sure the Fuhrer King would be safe. So what did Kurosanai do about the situation? Ignore the hyena and leave the cold hearted bitch in order to have a proper conversation with the King.
“Eh. I have had worse. You should see what Izanami does to me when I say something stupid.” Kurosanai laughed as he felt her gaze piercing through his back. Let it, it wasn’t anything new and it wasn’t like it was going to stop today either. Kurosanai cast a sideways glance over at the yappy hyena. “So I have to ask. What is with your pooch here? Why are we being punished for him failing to update his schedule?” Kurosanai said with a bit of a mocking laugh. He never enjoyed being disrespected and even less so by people that literally just set eyes on him not just mere moments before. Sure he was under dressed to meet the Fuhrer King. Sure he was being far too casual in his conversation with the king. But he would be damned if some hyena was going to dictate how he was going to interact with someone.
Izanamai beat him to the punch when she stood and showed off her ‘extremities’ by resting her arms in front of her torso just below her bosom. Her eyes traced Kurosanai’s back, the wall and then to the advisor who had made his way over to the other side of the room. It was one thing to mess with Kurosanai it was another level to try and feud with Izanami. Politics was her game and she had spent years in establishing the Muzai’s prestige among the power brokers on the planet. There were few that she had not spoken with and she was in the room with two of them.
“This meeting is happening. I have gone through all the proper channels in establishing this meeting here today. I even went through extra hoops with waiting for security to properly vet both of us. If you have such a problem with this meeting occurring then you can leave.” Izanami commanded coldly. She was afraid of no person apparently even if it was the right hand to the king. Kurosanai chuckled to himself; just like that the meeting had gone from being incredibly civil to the point of the Muzai’s punching the hyena’s teeth in. Not the best impression but the clan had always been proud and that was showing at the current moment. “Please forgive my words your majesty but I will not stand for this disrespect from an advisor.” Izanami stated in the same cold tone with a dead look in her face.

“Please forgive my words your majesty but I will not stand for this disrespect from an advisor.”
Kemuri could tell from the female’s tone, well, if he could even call her a female, that she was being disrespectful. The way she showed off her assets made her look something more like a succubus, probably not even human. He looked at her face, it was the face of a woman who had severe fatherly issues. He clicked his tounge.
My dear…um….lady… You are in the presence of the King’s most trusted royal adviser, and although you may have filled out the proper paperwork for this meeting, you certainly didn’t fill out the proper paperwork to talk to me in such a manner. Also, don’t think for a second that you can come into my liege’s castle, where he and I have built up a proper schedule and way of running these meetings and dismiss ME from them. If the king weren’t here right now, ready for this meeting, I would have you escorted from the premises roughly, and there is not a thing you could do about it. Think for a moment, if you can, next time you decide to open your mouth.
Kemuri turned to the fledgling standing near the Fuhrer-King.
Never call me a pooch again. Please, forgive me if I come off brusque, my boy. I was only worried because, as you will notice…
Kemuri gestured to the man walking in the room with a stack of papers. He handed them to Kemuri and turned and walked out of the room, Kemuri shooting him some pretty harsh glances as he left.
Ah yes. Here we are. The papers for this meeting. I can allow it to resume then.
Kemuri turned back to the woman.
You may be concerned about your insignificant race of people, my dear, but here we are running an entire PLANET. You will understand, and with good grace, that things don’t always line up in your favor, especially when we are dealing with so much more than you could possibly imagine. It takes a lot of time out of our valued schedule to do meetings of this sort, especially for such a small minority of the population. Don’t get me wrong, our liege, may he live forever, respects all of his people equally, but that doesn’t mean that he can meet them all personally when one of them gets a little boo boo. Do you understand? No, of course you don’t.
Kemuri turned with a smile toward the king, the large impressive figure standing before him.
My liege, please forgive them, they know not what they do. We can continue with this meeting at your leisure, and I will sit and do my best to keep quiet while you deal with them.
Kemuri took his seat next to Buraddori with a very smug and self-satisfied look. He loved being better than others.

Buradorri’s head began to pound with the bickering of Kemuri and the fledgling of the Musai clan. It was a measuring contest, a matter of pride for some ridiculous reason unknown to him. Neither one was willing to back down, worst of all the only one who should have some sense in the entire matter, the woman who was with Kurosani, decided to pour fuel onto the fire rather than sate the anger of her ward. She told Kemuri to leave, something which took Buraddori by surprise. He went to interject but his words were caught in his throat as the two began bickering again, not directly at each other but rather in their words towards him.
The Fuhrer-King raised one of his hands, the other rubbing the bridge of his nose.
“I think that’s quite enough from both of you.” His words were commanding, not angry. It was stated with the strength of a king and the confidence that his words would be followed. “Kemuri, I appreciate your intent. They do however have a scheduled appointment and despite clothing they are more than welcome. I sent Elezabeth to your office to inform you of the meeting, but I see now that she had failed to do so.” He turned his attention from Kemuri to the other two.
“That being said, I would ask that you do not disrespect my advisor in my presence. I cannot control your thoughts but I will not sit and listen to any disrespect. He handles a great many things around here, and sometimes his stress gets the better of him, I’m sure he meant no harm.” He sat at the head of the table and clasped his hands together.
“Now with that unpleasantness behind us can we get back to the matter at hand? Kemuri, please take a seat. You as well Kurosani and Izanami. Let’s see if we can’t have a civil chat? How is it I can help exactly?” He laughed and patted the table, he was hoping to calm them down with his demeanor and winning smile. Tensions were high in the room, and it just wasn’t needed.

Izanamai’s face curled as she realized that she had been bested in this round of who could out maneuver their opponent verbally and as such she bowed her head slightly to the hyena. When she raised her head again her eyes were full of contempt and deathly intent. She was not one to be slighted and Kurosanai highly doubted she had ever been in such a high value situation. She quietly sank to her seat once again as she awaited her young companion to take the seat beside her. Kurosanai took his time as he evaluated the situation. He knew that all he wanted to do was take the mangy mutts head off with one solid punch and take the smug out of that toothy smile. But at the same time if he did that then he would have to deal with not only the Izanami’s wrath but the wrath of the Fuhrer King which he had told was incredible. After all he was the general that lead the army to oust the rogue leader Vector when something happened to him. Kurosanai took a deep breath and then sighed. He turned from the Fuhrer King and began to walk back to the table. As he did he turned his head and blew a kiss over to Kemuri. If he was uncomfortable with Izanami’s dress then he would most certainly be off put by the subtle gesture.
This time Kurosanai managed to enter his seat without a problem this time around. His face old the entire story though as he was not used to being disrespected and when he was it was far from the most pleasant experience. He fought everyday to earn his place and he didn’t need a flea bitten mongrel to try and drag him down to the level of some lowly worm. Izanami must have felt the anger brewing within him as she spoke up before the prodigy had a chance to say something disrespectful. “Thank you again your majesty for seeing us. And for…” She shot Kemuri a death glare, “the slight delay. We have asked for your presence here today in order to receive a blessing that we could declare publicly, or rather galacticly.” Izanami stated and she paused to judge the Fuhrer King’s reaction but Kurosanai was not as skilled in dealing with politics.
“She wants you to give your blessing and endorsement of me fighting in the tournament. I think at one point she mentioned the phrase ‘Champion of Earth’ or something. Personally I am not sure why I would need it but she mentioned something about it being great publicity for the clan by having a Muzai blessed by the Fuhrer King.” Kurosanai rambled off to the chagrin of Izanami. He never looked at the Fuhrer King or his mutt of advisor but rather the ceiling’s design once again. When he looked down he found Izanami’s wrath exuding from her every pore. “What? Is that not we want?” Kuro asked bluntly.
“What my companion asks so bluntly is the truth. We seek your blessing for Kurosanai’s involvement in the upcoming galactic tournament while also receiving your endorsement as the planet’s chief fighter.” Izanami growled out of frustration at Kurosanai while trying not to let her anger come across to the Earth leader.
