Everything was close to completion. The circus would open in three days time, and final preparations were underway. Acts for the first show were chosen and even now, this late at night, her performers were practicing their acts. Everyone knew Adrien demanded nothing but the best. Absolute perfection. Nothing could go wrong, not a hair could be out of place. If this first show didn't go right, her plans would all be ruined. Which is why, instead of watching over them, the Ringmaster had made her way far from the circus this evening. Things always grew tense around this time, and her voices loved it. She did not need to slip up and shake them to their core. It was better they remain ignorant to most of her life. Better to keep them in the dark and cooperating then to know everything and flee.
Want. Want!
"I know! Just shut up already!" she snapped, her calm composure slipping. She heard a familiar laugh nearby, causing a scowl to settle over her lips. Wrath. He always showed up at the worst moments. She quickly pulled the hood of her caplet up, not wanting to see his shadowy form walking beside her.
"Avoiding me now? that's not very nice, Addy."
She gritted her teeth, walking faster. Not that it would do any good, of course. No matter how fast she ran, or where she hid, they always found her. Well, obviously Adrien. It is all in your head, after all. Isn't that what therapist after therapist told you? Still, she walked faster. Only the light of the (one) moon showing her path. She still couldn't get over it. This planet had one, small, dim moon. Nor had two large, beautiful and bright moons. And to think, a race of people apparently lived on Earth's!
Hungry!!!
"Shut up!" she hissed, walking faster, arms crossed.
"It's not good to deny it. She'll only grow louder."
And now Wrath had started on her. Stupid voices. Stupid madness. She had hoped that for some reason, things might be different on Earth. Quieter, easier. But, no such luck. There had been that time, when her performers were on the street though. All be the nameless voice were quiet. they didn't even appear to her. she had hoped it was because she was on Earth. Apparently, She was very wrong.

Kami was on his way back to the lookout, just finishing up his meeting with Ryoken. Ryoken words about wanting to protecting the Guardian of Earth made Kaladar Laugh. He had no idea who he had been talking to, no idea the Guardian of Earth was taking time to speak with him. Kaladar would have loved to spend more time looking around, but Mr. Popo kept insisting on him returning to his post. Making his way over Gengoro Island, Kami looked down to see the grassy plains beneath him. Flying close enough to the island to see the many different people that inhabit Penguin Village.
Kaladar was about to shoot back to the Lookout, but a power signature caught his attention. It was much stronger than the average human, stronger by far. He knew he had to return to the Lookout, but he couldn’t go back there knowing there was yet another mysterious power signature on his Planet. So quickly deciding to change course, Kaladar shot off toward the power signature. Soon enough the person came into view, surprising enough to Kami thie mysterious signature was coming from a women. Kaladar landed several feet in front of the women, no doubt she would be confused to see an old man landing near her.
Her skin was very pale, paler than Kaladar has ever seen. She stood over five feet with a slim figure, she was different, she looked human but Kaladar knew otherwise. Her eyes were green and her eyelashes were long and there was black makeup around her eyes. Kaladar laughed to himself, this day was starting to get interesting. He had already met Ryoken, a male whose power signature he couldn’t sense and now he was meeting a female who looked a little different.
”Good day madam no doubt you are confused as to why I am here talking to you. But from your power signature you are much stronger than anyone here on this island. Now you don’t seem like the violent type, but one can never truly tell.”
Kaladar folded his arms across his chest before speaking again
”May I ask what it is you are doing here? Are you waiting for someone? Or are you just enjoying the sights? This island truly has its great views, I have been here long enough to know this. Oh and before I forget my name is Kaladar Lox. Mind telling me what your name is?”

"So you're going to ignore her, and me? That's not very nice at all, Addy."
"Shut up," she hissed again, squeezing her eyes shut. Quiet. She just wanted some peace and quiet. Was that too much to ask. She took a deep breath. In and out. In and out. Her right hand twitched, eager to grasp the blade that was hidden in her boot. Eager to find some poor, unfortunate soul and paint the landscape red. The voice giggled in glee, loving the idea. Sadly, that only made it louder. Suddenly, Adrien heard soft footfalls before her. She opened her eyes and was shocked to find an old man there. Where had he come from? There had been no one around for miles. Adrien couldn't help but sigh. He must be a new voice, just one to add to her not-so-little collection.
He started to speak, using terms that confused her. Power signature? What was that exactly? It wasn't as if she was radioactive or something. Her lips twitched up into a ghost of a smile. Not the violent type? Nope, he wasn't a new voice. All her voices knew what she was, delighted in it in fact. They also all knew her name, calling her Addy. Ironic, seeing as that was her sister's name for her.
"My name is Adrien La'Moore," she informed him. A soft accent ran through her voice as she told him her name, one not found on Earth. Long ago, Adrien had trained her northern accent from her voice, though it still slipped out whenever she spoke her name. Another reason she preferred to go by Ringmaster. Adrien turned her gaze to him, face a mask of cool indifference. He was a very old man, hair pure white. Well, the long beard he wore was, his head completely devoid of all hair. And yet, even as old as he was, he was built like the warriors of her home-world. What a strange man. Adrien kept her hood up, keeping her face in as much shadow as possible.
"As for what I am doing out here, I could ask the same of you," she said, raising a delicate brow. Adrien had no plans to tell him of her circus quite yet. She couldn't decide if he was friend, or foe. Well, foe or not-so-trusted ally was more like it. For all she knew, he could be apart of the Force. They enjoyed sending bait, luring their targets into a false sense of security before striking. That's how they almost had her once.

"My name is Adrien La'Moore,"
”Adrien, huh that is an interesting name you have there. It is good to make your acquaintance.”
Kaladar couldn’t tell the accent the female put on her name, it was something that he hasn’t heard before. This also piqued his interest in the women, first was the fact she was by herself on the island in the middle of the day. He folded his arms across his chest waiting for her to explain what in face she was doing here. Her response took Kaladar by surprise; she didn’t answer his question, but instead repeated his question back to him, using less word of course. He didn’t know if he wanted to tell her his reasoning for also being on the island, but as he put more thought into it he didn’t think it would be a problem.
”Ah of course where are my manners. Well you see I am the guardian of this planet, I don’t know how long you have been living here for but people call me Kami or Kaladar, most go with Kami. I am responsible for keeping the planet safe from outside forces as well as potential threats that live here. Usually once a week I travel to different locations making sure that everything is alright in the general area. I mean you no harm Miss La’Moore I only ask to make sure you aren’t a threat to Earth’s safety. You can never be too careful with meeting new people.”
Kaladar understood of her wanting to know what he was doing there. Just like he said you can’t trust people you meet for the first time till you actually get to know them. He hoped his short explanation would help her understand. Now it was her turn to explain why she was there, if she didn’t answer him this time then Kaladar would start to get suspicious. He had always given people a chance, but there was something different about this person.
”Alright since I have explained my reason for being here I believe it is your turn.”

The Guardian of Earth, hm? Her eyes narrowed, arms crossing. Inside her head, the voice hissed, whispering softly to her. This wasn't good. Adrien had had no idea that there was a Guardian on Earth. And one so...good. She felt burning heat against her as Wrath moved closer, felt him lowering his head to speak at her side.
"Well....this is an interesting turn of events, isn't it? What a nice trophy to add to your collection. Imagine the chaos that would erupt from his death. Why...you could even leave his body on display," he whispered to her. Her grip on her arms tightened as her voice laughed and cried out in glee. Visions filled her head. This man nailed to her board, crying out as she carved into him. His body, bloodstained, face frozen in horror and pain hung out for all to see. Their strong guardian, reduced to so little.
Want....want....!!!
"I am the Ringmaster of a traveling circus," she said, her voice soft, "We've made camp not far from here."
She looked up at him, smiling softly. Her eyes had changed, that beautiful olive turning to the deepest red, the color of blood on snow. They seemed to almost glow softly as her lips curved into a smile.
"I would be honored if you graced our opening show with your presence," she said smoothly as the voice giggled in glee.

Kaladar was waiting for the women’s response to his simple question. He wanted to believe that she was no threat to Earth. But he had to make sure she wasn’t a threat, just because she was an attractive female doesn’t mean she couldn’t be dangerous. He was willing to stay there all day if that is how long it took to get an answer from her. He noticed her cross her arms, giving him a look over, he was confused but shook it off. Then he noticed her grip tighten around her arms, something was happening but Kaladar had no idea what. Maybe the female before him was having some sort of inner struggle, like she was listening to voices in her head? The thought of it made Kaladar chuckle a little before regaining his composure.
Finally the female knows as Adrien answered Kami. She was apparently the headmaster of a traveling circus. Kami was even more shocked to hear that their place of settlement was not too far from where they were standing. Adrien then went on to tell him that she would be honored if he would see their grand opening. The idea thought raced through Kami’s mind, it had been some time since he had seen a circus. He didn’t know how Mr. Popo would feel about that, but that didn’t matter to him. Maybe going to see a circus would be a good thing, something to take his mind of the planet for a short time.
”Well Miss La’Moore I think that would be a wonderful idea it would be my pleasure to go and see your circus. It has been quite some time since I have seen a circus so it would be a marvelous time. So there is one obvious question I have to ask, and that is when exactly is the grand opening of your circus?”
Kami unfolded his arms, he was pleased that Adrien had finally answered him. Even though it didn’t really explain why she was sitting out here all by herself, but Kami thought that maybe she needed to get away from the circus. If there opening was coming soon there was no doubt she was going thorugh some stress. Looking her over once more, Kaladar wasn’t so sure that she was a threat, but by the way she talked and her body language he was going to have to trust her for now. He would be going to her circus not only for personal enjoyment, but to make sure there was nothing dangerous going on there. Nothing that could be a potential threat or cause innocents harm.
”Well Miss La’Moore if I may ask, you didn’t answer my original question. What are you doing out here by yourself? I only ask because it seems a bit strange to me to see a women out here all alone. I mean no disrespect, I am simply asking out of my own curiosity.”

She couldn't help the slow grin that ran across her lips. He had accepted her invitation. From the look in his eyes, she could only believe that he had absolutely no idea what he was in for. Nor what she could do. The voice cackled in her head, prowling. It wanted out, wanted him. It slithered closer, reaching toward him, caressing his mind. Visions filled her head, dancing in her mind. A large black, round--man? Thing?-- dead on a surface of pure white marble. The Earth burning, flames reaching higher than the tallest buildings. People everywhere, corpses, covered in blood and burning. Screams echoed everywhere, the stench of death and decay reaching her now. The voice moaned in want. This is what it craved always. Death, deconstruction, chaos. To see this as this man's worst fear was like waving meat in front of a starving lion only to yank it away. Her grip tightened on her arms, eyes glowing softly under her hood. It was all she could do to keep it inside herself, keep the mask from appearing. Now that the voice had a taste, it wanted more.
"The circus will open in three days time. It will run for a week before we close our gates for the time," she answered. She relaxed her grip slightly. She didn't want to set off any alarms he may have.
"I do hope you come to the opening show though. It will be one of a kind, that, I can promise you," she purred softly. She shifted her weight to her other foot, the cool steel of one of her hidden blades pressing against her leg. It calmed her, grounded her. The edge of the blade cut into her, blood welling up at the wound and easing the voice for now. In seconds it was gone, blood absorbed back into her skin.
"As for what I'm specifically doing out here at such and odd hour...well, the stress of the job was getting to me. I demand nothing but perfection and my performers often are tense with me around. I decided to take a walk and clear my head," she answered. It wasn't a total lie. But, it wasn't totally the truth.

Kaladar stood across from the crimson haired beauty once again he was waiting for her to respond to his question. He could hear Mr. Popo talking in his head, but he decided to ignore him. He was having a nice conversation with Miss La’Moore and he wasn’t going to let Popo ruin it. He noticed her grip on her arm tighten, something was going on in her head. He was going to keep an eye on this, just in case something was to happen in the next few second. Making sure to keep an eye on his surroundings nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary.
"The circus will open in three days time. It will run for a week before we close our gates for the time,"
”Well I will have to make sure to come back here in three days to attend your circus. It sounds like it is going to be a good time.” Kaladar took notice of her grip loosening on her arm, whatever was going on with her it seemed to calm down.
"I do hope you come to the opening show though. It will be one of a kind, that, I can promise you,"
” Don’t worry I will make sure to be there when your circus opens. I hope you can keep that promise of yours.”
"As for what I'm specifically doing out here at such and odd hour...well, the stress of the job was getting to me. I demand nothing but perfection and my performers often are tense with me around. I decided to take a walk and clear my head,"
Finally she had answered his original question, he could completely understand being under stress. Being Guardian of Earth, has added a lot of stress to Kaladar’s life, but he doesn’t mind. He knows it is all for the greater good. He would not ask for a different life in a million years, all the people he has meet and the people he has saved. All of it has been completely worth it to him, there is nothing he would rather be than the Guardian.
”I can understand that, a good walk is always a good way to calm the mind and body. It is always a good thing to take a break from what you are working on and return back to it later. So I have another question for you if you want to answer it that is. What exactly should I be expecting to see at your circus Miss La’Moore?”

What could he expect? Oh, many, many things. What she'll tell him to expect? Very few. After all, she didn't want to give away all the surprises. Especially the ones she had in store just for him. She smiled, an air of wickedness about her. She shrugged one dainty shoulder, moving closer to the guardian.
"You can expect many things, Kaldar. My circus is from a planet far away from here. We have not one human in our ranks, though that very well may change while we are here. I have beings that are from myths and legends, acts that will amaze and terrify you. Trust me, you will not be disappointed," she said, stopping in front of him. Red eyes gazed up at him from under her hood; hot as fire and dark as blood. Everyone in her circus knew to stay clear of her when they were like that. Every Noran's eyes changed red, either from anger or blood-lust. But Adrien's...they seemed to glow from the insides, a dark emotion running through them. So close to him, the voice cried out louder. It prowled back and forth in her mind, growling, snapping, writhing in hunger. Adrien glanced away, trying to keep the urge under control. There was no way she was strong enough to take him. Not yet at least.
"But for now, you'll have to excuse me, Kalder. I'm afraid that I need to clear my head still before I go back to my circus. If I don't, well...there wont be a circus for you to visit. Have a good night," she said. Quietly, Adrien moved around him. She walked off, silent, lost in her own world. She had come too close to lashing out just then. Too close to letting the voice take over, to ruining her plans. No. She still had to integrate herself to the people here, let them see this as a friendly, fun circus. Not the bloodbath it usually was. Then, and only then could she have some fun...

Looking down at Adrien ”Well that does sound exciting Miss La’Moore I will besure to come to your Circus when everything is set up and ready to go.” He looked down into the red eyes that were starring back at him. He had never seen anyone with Red eyes before, yet another thing that this women had that surprised him. It seemed like something was going to happen, something that Kami couldn’t predict. This woman still seemed like she was having an inner struggle, but Kaladar would have to wait to do or ask anything about it.
Quickly Adrien looked away from Kaladar "But for now, you'll have to excuse me, Kalder. I'm afraid that I need to clear my head still before I go back to my circus. If I don't, well...there wont be a circus for you to visit. Have a good night," she said walking away from him silently.
”Well it was good to talk to you Miss La’Moore, I can’t wait to visit your circus.”
Kaladar slowly began to lift off of the ground, on his way back to the Lookout to finally stop getting Mr. Popo to talk to him in his head. Leaving the Island Kami shoots off into the sky on his way back to Mr. Popo. After seeing Adrien he began to wonder how many other stronger people were inhabiting Earth. He would have to have Mr. Popo check into this and then summon them to the Lookout.
