Both fighters’ names would be heard over the louder speaker, cheers coming from the crowd as they are announced. The contestants were to climb the stairs to opposite sides of the platform and take their places. Once both were ready they were free to start their match. PL Lock - Kurosani: PL: 14,113 Adrenaline Rush: 28,226 Frigid: PL: 6430 Brute: 32,150 (All you need to is enter the fighting area and begin your match.)

Frigid had beaten each of his opponents in his preliminary matches without even entering his brute form. The lack of strength and skill with these opponents had somewhat dashed what he had dreamt the tounament would be like. He'd expected the strongest of the strong, but each time the round began, he had his opponent on the run immediately.
But now the weeding of weaklings was over. The fighters that remained on the brackets were the strongest of their kind. And even though Frigid lacked a sense for energy, anyone could feel the static powers of the collaboration of warriors. All this energy did was fuel Frigid with a intense desire to win.
His reasons for entering the tournament were much different than most others. He was not in it for the prize, or title. He was not in it for the fame. He was in it to simply test his limits. He'd been anchored down the Icejin kingdom for far too long, but now was free. Hopefully he would be able to match up wth these fighters and hold his own.
Then, there was Snow, the mysterious Icejin who'd saved Frigid's life. The same Icejin who'd challenged him to enter the tournament. And coincidentally the same Icejin who Frigid might have to face in the second round. This was truly destiny. And whether Snow made it to the second round, or not, Frigid would be sure to.
Stepping out of the readying room, Frigid entered a long chain of halls, which he was guided through by a small alien creature. The creature left Frigid to stand in front of a large set of metallic double doors and wait.
"Frigid!" Boomed a voice over the intercoms, signalling Frigid to enter the ring. As the double doors violently swung open, the sight of bright lights, the sound of cheering, and the smell of sweat and blood over took him. He'd never experience anything like it.
As he slowly adjusted to the new environment, he started up the stairs and onto the large square marble ring. Taking his place on the opposite side, he watched for his opponent, eager to meet the man who'd overcome the same as him. Perhaps this man would be the one to finally test Frigid to his limits. Or perhaps he would just be another failed attempt to spark up a fight.

His feet carried him down the hall as he rolled his arms in two circles out to the side of him. He was ready or about as ready as he would get. Apparently his last match was very bloody and caused him a great deal of pain. Though he did not remember a single moment of the affair for whatever reason the only thing he remembered was looking the camera robot straight on and announcing to the world that he represented the Muzai. After that it is just a complete blank. The very next memory he had was getting slammed up against the wall by a woman who had apparently been his opponent. The situation that followed was something else entirely.
There was still a slight limp to Kurosanai’s walk due to a stab wound that he had incurred in his previous match. The medical staff had said that they had to remove half of a broken knife blade from his thigh. Despite the impressive technology they had on Alpha Prime for the competitors to heal up in between their matches Kurosanai’s leg was not able to heal all the way. This also included his side which still seared with pain when he touched just below his right rib cage. The medical staff had told him that he had been stabbed there as well which only left him to wonder what the fight was actually like. He would have to review the footage from the fight after this round and with any hope it would be after this upcoming victory.
Kurosanai shuffled to the final set of doors which remained shut as the crowd roared for his opponent. This time before the match he managed to find out who his opponent was. The prodigy of the Muzai was told that he would be facing an Icejin named Frigid and that he was a semi prestigious name on Beta Minor. When he pushed on what an Icejin was the medical staff simply shuddered and said that they were incredibly powerful aliens that were some of the strongest beings in the universe. While he was concerned about the fight that would be ensuing especially in his condition part of him was extremely thrilled for the possibility of a good fight. Back on Earth he rarely had any luck in finding powerful opponents or partners to spar with. Even in most of the preliminary matches he had dispatched his opponents with relative ease. Though from what he was told and what he could only surmise he had been given a run for his money in the last fight. Hopefully this time though he would be able to remember the match so that he could learn where he needed to improve in his fighting style.
The doors swung open and the sound wave from the crowd rippled through his body. They were even louder than his last match which he could only assume was in due part to his victory. Then he could hear the chants once again, “Muzai! Muzai! Muzai!” Just like the first time he heard them he could only fill with pride as he strode, hiding the limp as much as possible, with his hands in the air. The very shouts of encouragement filled him with new found energy as the pain seemed to be a little less noticeable. Up the few marble stairs and into the ring he went.
His opponent was already standing there waiting for him to join so that way the upcoming match could begin. For all the fear and hype about Icejin however Kurosanai was unimpressed. What stood before him was an alien that was no taller than four and a half feet tall with two horns protruding from his head. It had a tail that patiently tapped the ground as no doubt it scoped him out. From what he felt the creature was of decent power but Kurosanai could tell that he may still be below him. The prodigy had never been good at reading power level outside of using his eyes and did not want to do so this early in the match up. He wanted to keep an ace in the hole so that he would have something to use if the fight started to turn against him.
“You are Frigid right? From the way everyone talked about Icejin I expected something twenty feet tall and weighed nearly a ton. You are not what I had expected.” Kurosanai said innocently. “The name is Kurosanai. Hope you can fight, I want to put on a show for the family at home.” He laughed as he sank into a fight stance.
Then the bell rung and the fight begun.

Frigid could see his opponent limp into the ring, even after he tried to hide it. So close together, there would be nothing the man could hide. His last match had obviously strained him. Perhaps that was a good thing.
As he spoke, a look of surprise quickly shot across Frigid's face, "It is a pleasure, Kurosanai. I appologize for not meeting your expectations. Perhaps our bout will change your mind." A quick bow of the head, he gave his opponent a sign of respect.
Ding!
As the bell struck, a smirk covered Frigid's face; he was ready. His right leg shot back, propelling his body toward his opponent like a rocket. His fist cocked back, building the force he needed for a strong punch. Though not at the max of his base power level, the punch would hit hard enough to let Frigid know if this fight would truely be worthy. As he neared Kurosanai, his fist shot foward, aimed directly towards the man's stomach.
His reaction to such a frontal attack would also set the tone for the rest of the battle. If he dodged and jumped out of range, Frgid would keep the fight close quarters. If the man blocked the attack, Frigid would most likely feel a heafty counter attack. From the man's next moves, he would adjust his strategy. It seemed like his training as a royal gaurd might have finally paided off. But that was still to be determined.

Ding
Frigid didn’t waste any time after the bell rang as he charged forward with impressive speed. Kurosanai however wasn’t truly impressed though as the Icejin appeared to be much slower than the hype had built them up to. Though he did have to give the little guy credit he was very polite and quick. Unfortunately for him Kurosanai’s entire fighting style was based off of speed. The only question that was left for the prodigy of the Muzai was whether or not his leg was going to allow him to keep up the desired speed? Kurosanai was not sure of what the answer was going to be yet as his leg continued to throb in pain.
Once the Icejin was within striking range he threw a strong punch directed towards Kurosanai’s stomach. The human could tell that he was holding back which let him down a bit because he never enjoyed the feeling out process during fights. And that punch was specifically designed for that very reason. Kurosanai figured he would have to bring out the best in Frigid then and began to run scenarios in his mind. The interesting thing about fights was that even at intense speeds the mind seemed to process like a super computer allowing Kurosanai to think out dozens of scenarios in a matter of two seconds.
The prodigy of the Muzai stepped backwards giving him just enough room to fulfill the plan that he had conceived in his head. Once he stepped back his left arm would come up to catch the Icejin’s punch just under the wrist. He would circle it out to the side opening the entire Icejin’s torso up to strikes. Kurosanai would then move in for his counter strikes which a huge chunk of his fighting style was derived off of. He would throw a quick right to the ribs, followed by left cross to the chest and then finished off with hard right elbow to the jaw. Kurosanai would not pursue him if he got pushed backwards instead he would dance away from him keeping his hands up in case for whatever reason the Icejin recovered much more quickly than he had originally thought would happen ready to brawl.
“So Frigid I am curious. What are Icejin like? I haven’t ever been off of Earth so I have absolutely no idea.” Kurosanai asked as he laughed a little at what was happening. Whether or not Frigid pushed the attack was up to him but he would just continue to ask questions. “Are you organized into some kind of kingdom or something? Are you a soldier or just a normal citizen?”
Frigid would probably be a little off put by the questions but as the fight continued so would the questions. That would probably continue to put Frigid off his game even a little bit. It was one of the most frustrating parts of Kurosanai’s style or so his best friend Mozoku constantly told him. Mozoku always reprimanded him for the incessant talking and yammering that the prodigy spouted off. Mozoku however never saw what it did during the sparring matches. It kept his opponents off balanced and unfocussed which left them more open to the various attacks and counters from Kurosanai.

One step; that was all it took for the man to dodge Frigid's punch. At the same time, his hand shot up to firmly grab Frigid's wrist. This left the Icejin open for attack to the sides. It seemed he might have underestimated the human. He would have to quickly get over the feeling out phase of the battle, and amp up his own power level.
Kurosanai did exactly as Frigid had expected as he countered. His right fist met with the Icejin's hard, almost shell like skin, and would surely feel pain from the hardy attack. His tenacity surprised Frigid as he threw a second punch, aiming for his chest. A grin crossed his mouth as he too began formulating strategies in his head, but there was little silence as Kurosanai began to speak, asking questions about Icejins and Frigid's place in the world.
It was quite off putting, but Frigid ignored the man's barrage of questions. As the fist neared him, Frigid dropped to the ground, causing the fist to pass over his head. As he fell, Frigid spun to the right, his tail whipping swiftly towards the man's side. His speed and power was quite impressive, but Frigid's small stature made him quick as well. If the tailwhip connected, Frigid would follow up with a graceful back flip, distancing himself from his opponent.
"Your questions will be answered soon enough," Frigid would tell him, his power raising to the max of 6,430. It was already obvious that this man was much stronger than any of the other opponents Frigid had faced before. Chances were, Frigid would have to use his Brute form soon if he wanted to win this bout.

Even with what appeared to be his max power Kurosanai wasn’t that impressed for what he had seen in Icejin. In fact, he was rather disappointed. Add to the fact that he wasn’t going to answer any of his questions in the middle of the fight only bummed the prodigy out even more. I mean what are the chances that you get to meet such a creature and to have the door shut in your face about their culture and what not was a little bit of a downer. Never the less he would have to continue to ask until he was able to gain a response. The first thing though that he did not have to ask about was how hard his skin was, it was surprising to say the least. His knuckles felt like he had punched something just short of rock. If that was what it was going to be like all fight then by the end his knuckles would no doubt be broken or bloody.
“So why do I have to wait for the answers? How come I can’t just get them now? You afraid or something?” Kuro pestered as he saw the Icejin move quickly towards him. His speed was still impressive but for whatever reason the prodigy didn’t fear him like the people in the clinic had. There must have been more to the race than he saw now. Perhaps some kind of other form or something? The Icejin whipped up his tail and caught Kurosanai in the right rib cage which normally wouldn’t have been a problem. However due to the fact that his ribs had not fully healed the pain was multiplied three fold and knocked the wind out of the prodigy. He staggered sideways as the Icejin gracefully jumped backwards and landed on his feet.
“Fine. I guess I will have to start trying now.” Kurosanai growled a little. Normally he was not one to go on the offensive but due to his physical state he didn’t think that it would be a good idea to play to his normal full counter style. He took a deep breath and let his power rise to his maximum right around fourteen thousand power level. “Let’s go.”
Just as Kurosanai reached close to his maximum potential he charged forward with speed more than double that of Frigid’s. Once close Kurosanai would throw a high head kick. Whether it hit or not was immaterial as he would follow through to plant that foot into the ground and throw a spinning body kick to the abdominal region. Followed up by barrage of punches to the skull that would end with a knee to the stomach and the grabbing of Frigid’s horns. Kurosanai would toss the Icejin across the ring like a potato sack towards the edge. Whether the Icejin was strong enough to fight him wouldn’t matter if he couldn’t stay inside the ring. Barring any tricks that Kuro had yet to see the advantage was in his favor and quickly growing in a similar manner.
(Sorry bout the delay)

It seemed that the questions would come to an end and the man was stuck by Frigid's tail. The pain was made obvious by the sound of Kurosanai's breath, or lack of. Staggering sideway as Frigid landed on his feet, Kurosanai's tone changed as he told Frigid it was time to get serious, and his power level rose.
There was no time to think as Kurosanai rushed him, his foot flying toward's Frigid's head. The kicked connected, giving Frigid a similar response to that of the tailwhip he'd landed. As quickly as he'd landed the kick, he spun around and connected a second to Frigid's stomach. His orange, unarmored skin quickly reddened from the force, making him wish he had been able to wear it.
Again, the man attacked, sending a barrage of punches to Frigid's face. Even with his hard Icejin skin, these punches were powerful. Each seemed to gain strength as they continued, causing the Icejin to bleed from his mouth, nose and right eye. However, as quickly as he barrage began, it ended with a hefty need to his stomach.
As the knee connected, Frigid doubled over, blood exploding from his mouth. Trying to catch his breath, he could feel Kurosanai's fingers wrap around his horns, and pick him up off the ground, only to skip him across the ring like a stone across a lake.
As Frigid skidded acrossed the marble arena, his hand's grasped for the floor, attenpting to stop himself from leaving the ring. The floor was far from jagged, so his attempt was a very desperate one. But even desperate attempts sometimes work out.
Summoning as much strength as he could, his feet dug into the ground and his tail ripped into the floor, stopping him mere inches from the edge. He sat breathing heavily, like a savage dog on all fours as blood dripped from his wounds. If nothing else, the site was a terrifying one. It took a minute, but Frigid stood, eyes opening wide as he wiped the blood from his face.
"To say... That I am... Impressed... Would be an... Understatement..." he told his opponent, giving a slight bow. Already, he was catching his breath and straightening his back. The crowd behind him roared as he raised a hand to show them the fight was not over, and he shor Kurosanai a cocky smile, "Your hits are hard... But I have recovered from worse."
The Icejin crouched down low as bright gold ki began to swirl around his feet. As the ki exploded outwards, black static formed, biting at Frigid's body. The Icejin's body began to glow white as his silhouette began to tweek and morph. In seconds, A taller, bulkier Frigid, who's horns spiraled outwards, revealing the Icejin Kurosanai was hoping to see. His power level would be at about 20,000, giving him the upper hand.
As his large tail flicked at the ground, a smirk crossed his face. It looks as though the damage Kurosanai had caused was gone, but in truth it only was no longer visible, but Kurosanai would not know that, "I hope you are pleased with my transformation. It is no often I am forced to use it."
Now it was time to attack. His left foot shot into the ground as he jumped into the air. Reaching a heigh of about thirty feet, Frigid rose a hand above his head, a small, softball sized, ball of ki formed. Though it looked innocent enough, the ball packed a punch. It was Frigid's Hell Grenade move. A move that would result in a powerful explosion. As Frigid chucked the ball of ki below, at Kurosanai, he hoped it would strike him. Whatever surface the attack made contact with, it would stick to, then explode.
Frigid was much more curious about Kurosanai's next moves than in the begining of the fight. The man had only continued to surprise Frigid, each of his moves revealing small portions of his true powes. Hopefully, with Frigid's own power reveal, Kurosanai would follow suit. If not, Frigid would make sure he would soon enough.

Frigid did not seem to have an answer for the barrage of attacks that Kurosanai threw. Each strike increased in power as his body began to grow accustomed to the higher level of power that he was able to output which surprised him greatly. He had never been able to wield this kind of power before this tournament. Had his power truly grown that much since his last match? Perhaps he had unlocked some kind of power in his last match that allowed him to become this powerful. What had happened in his last match? Not a single memory had come to him yet and it was quite annoying not knowing what had happened. Of course he hadn’t found some way of watching the fight in order for him to have an idea of what was going on.
The Icejin skidded across the ground gripping at the marble tile looking for something to slow his slide. Frigid slid to just mere inches from the edge of the ring and ending this fight. His fingers had dug into the ground leaving small marks in the ring. His tail also rapped against the ground which helped him stop. The creature clambered to his feet and stood there just one step from the end of the round. Blood escaped his mouth, nose, and eye. His right eye had some slight swelling to it and his orange unarmored stomached reddened like a lobster after being boiled. It was a shame really that this was all that the Icejin could muster. At this rate he was not going to be able to survive another barrage from Kurosanai.
"To say... That I am... Impressed... Would be an... Understatement... Your hits are hard... But I have recovered from worse.” The way the Icejin was talking left Kurosanai wary of what was about to happen. If he didn’t know better he could have swore he was bluffing. But then he felt the wind blow past him as Frigid’s power began to grow exponentially. The prodigy was surprised how fast and far his power was growing. He bent down into a crouch and gold ki began to leap from his body. Black static energy seemed to eat at his body before a blinding white light emerged from his body. Kurosanai covered his eyes and when he opened them again he was greeted by a far different sight then he had originally seen. Frigid’s small body was long gone and was replaced by something that stood easily close to seven feet tall, twice the muscle mass, and quadruple the power.
“Now that is something else…” The prodigy of the Muzai muttered under his breath. This fight was going to be something else than what he had anticipated. The crowd took in the moment before roaring in excitement seeing the Icejin transform. Apparently Kurosanai was the only one in the stadium that was not aware of the Icejin’s ability to change their appearance. He really needed to start paying attention in class when someone was giving him a low down on his opponent.
"I hope you are pleased with my transformation. It is no often I am forced to use it." Frigid said as a smirk crossed her face. He knew that he was more powerful now and that could only prove to be a problem. On top of the new form all of the injuries that Kurosanai had inflicted seemed to disappear before his eyes. This was not going to be good. He laughed to himself and took a deep breath.
“I am rather impressed with it. Let’s give these folks a good show now.” Kurosanai closed his eyes and then snapped them open revealing his Aoiro in his eyes. As he did he noticed that Frigid was no longer standing in front of him but rather in the air above him. The prodigy’s head snapped upwards to see the interesting ki structure of an Icejin. Suddenly ki began to form in his hand and soon was tossed in the air. The makeup of the ki was interesting though and something didn’t feel right to Kurosanai.
The ball flew towards him and out of mere instinct Kurosanai went to swat the ball out of the air. As he did the ball did not do as he had hoped. Instead of flying off in the opposite direction the ball of ki stuck to his bandaged hand. His eyes went wide as he looked down to see the structure of the ball beginning to break down. He knew he only had a few moments to react before the thing exploded engulfing his hand in flames.
Without thinking Kurosanai leapt straight up into the air until he was right next to Frigid. He was not sure if this would work but it was worth a shot. He swiped his hand towards the Icejin with the intent of switching the ki ball off of him to Frigid. If he managed to get the ki ball off of himself he would then kick off of Frigid’s chest in order to get away. If he couldn’t he would stick close to Frigid to make sure that both would be engulfed in the explosion.
“You can have this back.”

The Hell Grenade soared towards Kurosanai as planned, only for him to make an attenpt at batting it away like a normal blast. As he did so, the blast only cemented itself to his arm. Frigid could see his eyes go wide as he stared down at the blob of unstable ki, which caused him to crack a small smile.
However the smile was short lived as the man jumped into the air, and swipped a hand at the Icejin, with an attemped to rid himself of such an explosion, "You can have this back."
Though in the air, with Frigid's new speed, he was easly able to evade the hand by stepping, or rather hovering backwards. It was obvious to Frigid of Kurosanai's intents as he seemed to stick to him like a fly on, well, you know. And as the attack finally reached the end of its short fuse, the two neared the center of the ring, still hovering in the air. The explosion would be huge, and engulf the fighters in a thick gray smoke. Luckly for the two, being in the air would keep them from a heavy amount of pain.
As the blast exploded, Frigid's body was thrown like a rock to the ring. As his back connected, the marble ring would slightly crator, and his body would go limp, but only for a minute. By the time the debree and smoke cleared from his landing, he would be up on a knee, one eye closed, gritting his teeth against the pain of the blast as his tail thrumped heavily on the stone floor, "You are quite smart." he complimented, unsure of his opponent's location.
What Frigid was sure of was that Kurosanai would not be down for the count long, if at all. Taking the little time he may have, Frigid would stand and catch his breath, as the cloud of smoke would clear and hopefully reveal his opponent.

The explosion seemed to do more damage than he had originally anticipated especially since his original intention of giving Frigid the blast back. Instead he was forced to chase the Icejin through the air, which was something new to him seeing as how he had never flown before. When the ball of ki exploded in the air in catapulted him towards the ring with a great deal of force. Kurosanai bounced hard against the marble floor briefly as smoke fell around the two fighters. His body felt like it was broken in half as he gasped for air. He then remembered back to the doctors repeatedly yelling at him about getting back in the rejuvenation chamber so that he could finish healing. The prodigy’s hand went to his right rib cage as he groaned on the ground. His rib cage was completely shattered and he could only assume that something was pressing against his lung as he gasped for air. Suddenly after one gasp he coughed hard and spit up blood onto the marble arena.
“That isn’t good,” He said as he gasped through the pain with a quick wipe of his mouth. This fight had to end now or Kurosanai’s very life was in great danger. His Aoiro were able to pick up the faint glow of Frigid’s ki flowing through his body through the smoke. He judged the distance and knew that with a quick flurry of blows that he could catch the brand new transformed Icejin off guard and hope for a ring out. He knew he was not going to be able to get into a slug match with him not being able to breathe. So as the dust began to settle Kurosanai rose to his feet and started to channel his power.
"You are quite smart." Frigid stately as the crowd roared in the background. When the smoke cleared though he would be staring at a deathly serious fighter at just about his maximum power of twenty eight thousand power level. With a crack of his neck with a quick tilt to the side the prodigy of the Muzai would enter into probably his final sequence before his lung gave out.
“Thank you. I hope you enjoy that when you lose,” Kurosanai laughed as a small trickle of ran down the corner of his mouth. Then with a quick step he launched forward keeping low to the ground. At the last second he would spring upwards and throw a heavy right handed uppercut. Whether or not that hit was did not matter as he would throw a vicious spinning elbow aimed at the face of the monster. After that he would pursue him with a barrage of kicks and punches. They were thrown as hard and as fast as he could, knowing that if this indeed failed then the match was over. It would all end with a bicycle kic that was designed to send Frigid flying from the ring and hopefully get ringed out causing Kurosanai to advance to the next round.

As the dust and debris finally cleared, Frigid was faced with a serious looking Kurosanai. Though lacking in ki sense, Frigid could feel the man's elevated power. He thanked Frigid for the compliment, followed by the threat of defeating him. This brought a smirk to the Icejin's face. He was glad that the fight was far from over.
Crouching down low, the man started forward, only to near Frigid and spring up with an uppercut. His speed had once again increased, allowing the fist to connect harshly with Frigid's chin. As his head shot back from the force of the punch, Kurosanai took advantage of the Icejin's lowered defenses by sending a spinning elbow into the side of his face. The hit connected, followed by a barrage of punches and kicks.
Each hit connected hard, even through Frigid's tough Icejin's skin, and each one stung equally bad. Kurosanai followed his barrage with a bicycle kick, with hopes to send Frigid out of the ring. But the Icejin would not let this happen. As Kurosanai's foot neared him, Frigid's right hand shot out like dart, in hopes to grip the man by the ankle. He would also take advantage of this grab by letting out a burst of energy to bring him to his maximum power level as well.
If the foot was caught, Frigid's tail would whip out at the man's anchored leg with hopes to get him off his feet and into the air for just a second. He would then take advantage of this by joining his fists together above his head to smash into the man's back, hopefully smashing him into the hard ring floor as well.

The match did not end like Kurosanai had hoped instead the Icejin merely accepted all of the damage that was dealt out to him and left the prodigy’s knuckles bloody. Every part of his body burned in pain from either the attacks he was dealing out, that he had been dealt or the fact that he could not breathe correctly at the moment. What happened next did not exactly help him at all. As he went for his finishing strike to try and end the match he felt a hand wrap around his ankle. The next portion of events that happened was a bit of a blur.
He felt his body violently ripped from side to side as his leg popped several times and twisted in unnatural directions. If his ribs did not burn enough add one possibly dislocated leg to the injury list. Suddenly he felt his body start to get thrashed in a vertical fashion as he smashed repeatedly against the ground causing shockwaves of pain to ripple through his torso. Several times he spit up blood out of injury to his lungs which continued to get crushed by his broken rib cage which only enhanced the damage. Kurosanai cursed under his breath as he managed to slip free from the grasp of the Icejin only to find that he could land on his feet for only a moment before he was once again taken off of his feet by Frigid’s tail.
“I hate that thing!” The prodigy of the Muzai yelled as he was tripped into the air much to the delight of the crowd who roared in excitement. Suddenly Frigid appeared above him with both hands grasped in an axe handle ready to strike down. Kurosanai pulled his hands up in an attempt to block the attack however he was too slow as the Icejin’s hand slammed into him. He felt several more ribs break under the brute’s strength as he bounced hard against the marble ring floor. As he bounced back into the air Kurosanai let out another gasp of air as another spurt of blood escaped his mouth.
The world seemed to spin as Kurosanai lay on the ring floor trying to breathe through a shattered rib cage. He could hear it now about how he had not lived up to what Izanami had hoped of him and that his mother would be cooing over his then healed body looking for any sign of the old damage. As he thought on their reactions to his fights he began to long for home again. His will to fight seemed to melt away as he thought of his mother’s home cooking, his father’s push for training and Mozoku’s company. It made a tear come to his eye.
But then the moment ended and Kurosanai was left with the reality that he was millions of miles away from home and needed to continue his fight. He gingerly rolled off to the side grunting as any pressure was applied to his right rib cage. He crawled to his feet breathing heavy and he raised his hands in front of his chest. The crowd cheered knowing that the human was in a great deal of pain. “I have to represent the Muzai to my greatest abilities…even if it means throwing my body away.” Kurosanai stated in a volume only the two of them could hear.
Then in a half hearted, half powered effort Kurosanai marched forward towards the Icejin throwing punches towards his face. They were nowhere near the power of his last barrage due to lack of oxygen to his muscles. His body was right about to give out on him. He already ran out of energy to keep his Aoiro active and felt them fade away. Whatever happened next Kurosanai would more than likely not be able to counter.
“I am sorry I let you guys down,” he whispered under his breath.

Frigid was able to connect both of his hits, and as Kurosanai's body smashed into the ground, any hopes of the fight continuing faded. He could hear the man's ribs shatter. He would not be in good condition if he stood up again. Frigid began to think of his own fight against the two royal guards. They had beaten him to a pulp, and left him to die. This would not be the case for Kurosanai. Though his body might have been beaten down as bad as Frigid's had, the Icejin would not throw a single punch more.
As the man stood, Frigid could not help but admire his drive. He was obviously in bad condition, yet something deep within him kept him from surrendering. Would that somehow be the fate of Frigid some day? Would he continue to fight even after his body was destroyed? No.
As the man sent a slow barrage of half-hearted punches at the Icejin, he simply dipped and dodged out of their way. As he bobbed and weaved, he watched each of the man's movements. So sluggish, so... weak? It was sad. Frigid's hand shot out, but not with a fist; two fingers would attempt to strike the man's forehead. Afraid to kill such an amazing warrior, the fight would not advance on Frigid's part. The hopes were that as the fingers hit the man's forehead, he would fall over. Or perhaps he would realize that Frigid was no longer able to fight him.
In his second form, it was obvious to him that he had won; but was that as obvious to his opponent. Quiet enough for only Kurosanai to hear, the Icejin whispered, "You have proven your point. One day, I hope the two of us will meet again. Perhaps on different terms."

He couldn’t give up. He had to live up to everyone’s hopes and dreams. He had to win. He couldn’t let them all down. Those were the only thoughts going through Kurosanai’s head as he felt the air being squeezed from his lungs, the energy in his muscles draining and his vision only becoming more blurry. His punches no longer seemed to be effective as Frigid easily side stepped each strike. He no longer tried to block them or even counter the punches. The Icejin seemed to be demonstrating something that was lost on the crowd as they cried for blood and for Frigid to end the fight violently. But the Icejin chose not to do as the crowd wanted and instead letting Kurosanai continue to punch himself out of energy.
“I can’t fail them…I can’t fail them…” Kurosanai muttered as the world began to spin. He felt the Icejin’s fingers press lightly against his forehead causing him to lose his balance. But instead of falling backwards like Frigid would have expected the prodigy of the Muzai seemed to stumble forward still trying to take the fight to the brute. But all that ended up happening was that he now draped off the brutes shoulder breathing heavily as blood ran from the corner of his mouth.
"You have proven your point. One day, I hope the two of us will meet again. Perhaps on different terms." Frigid whispered in his ear so that the only two could hear. The Icejin’s words were kind but it was far from what he wanted to hear from him. Kurosanai attempted to hit him but only managed to lift his arms slightly. It really did appear that they would have to continue fighting at a different time under different terms much to the chagrin of Kurosanai.
“I guess I am going to have to accept that…” Kurosanai quietly laughed so the only two that could hear were the two fighters. “I will remember this Frigid…” he coughed. “We will fight again…and I will win…” He whispered as he began to slide off of the Icejin’s brute of a body. He crumpled to the ground as his breathing proceeded to become shallower and shallower. Blood ran from his mouth as his eyes began to cloud over. The world spun and then started to fade to black.
The next image he saw was that his family standing in dark space with smiles on their faces. Beside them was the image of Izanami with her normal scowl. Kurosanai went to speak but he could not manage to form any words with his voice. They just stood there with their smiles and it was in that moment that he could feel what they were trying to say. The warmth of their being there, including Izanami’s much milder temperature, was the signal that they understood that Kurosanai could no longer fight despite his best efforts. They expressed that he could let go and not worry about the results. Kurosanai smiled back and the scene faded to black. The prodigy of the Muzai would wake several hours later in the medical bay and this time would opt to stay there this time until he fully healed remaining out of contact with everyone until that time.
