It had been a while since he had learned how to form a Moon Ball, but after all this time he still hadn’t used it for one very important reason. The Half-Saiyan had no control over his Oozaru form and the primal side of him in that form would have no problems of hurting anyone and anything. He would have to find a secluded place to learn to control that form, especially if he wanted to remain competitive in the upcoming battles. His opponents would be powerful, more so than the previous ones and he had to make sure he had comparable, if not greater power. The expectations of those he defeated were on his shoulders and he could not let them down by not giving it his all. It was his own burden to bear now, and he had every intention of reaching the very top. The last match between the two Icejins had showed him that they had a power that could surpass his own without his Oozaru form. If he didn’t want to be easily overpowered then he needed this form to be in complete control, to prevent unnecessary casualties.
He needed a way to learn to control his Oozaru, but he didn’t want to risk harming the people around him either. Seclusion was a necessity here and for that, he went to the farthest edges of Alpha Prime where construction was being done and no one would be around this time. This was the perfect place for him to rampage for a bit, even if it meant that he would cost the construction workers more money and time to finish their work. Glancing around the area, he made sure that there were no workers around to get hurt; otherwise things could quickly go bad. Forming the power of the Moon Ball, he threw it up as high as he could, mostly so that he wasn’t about to get an eye full of bright light in his Oozaru form. Letting his body absorb the energy from it, he could feel the transformation starting to take over pushing his awareness to the back. It was a complete metamorphosis as his human form let out an animalistic howl filled with nothing but pure primal rage.
His body followed that as it began to grow to immense proportions that would make even some of the monsters he’d encountered tremble with fear. He stopped growing height-wise at roughly one hundred feet, as his body continued to transform and match the rest of his body. Fur growing everywhere and his weighted clothes had stretched to fit this form, keeping his full power retrained. It wouldn’t help much though as his muscle mass was growing considerably as well, the giant ape form was something of incredibly power even being held back. A deafening roar was released as it shook the surrounding area with just the sound waves coming from its massive mouth. The large monkey form began to stamp its feet in anger bellowing as loud as it could before releasing a blast from its mouth at the nearby buildings. It was uncontrolled, Conri didn’t really even understand the basics of controlling it, but from within the great beast’s mind his voice called out.
“You are my power and you will obey me,” he tried simply yelling at it, demanding it comply with his orders. The response he received was a roar from his body as his hand lashed out to smash one of the under construction buildings, sending it splintering into pieces. Within his mind he could feel the effects of the roar as if he was standing right in front of the mouth, his ears would be splitting if it had been perceived with his body. As it was, his mind was already hurting from that monstrous voice that came from the more primal side of his blood. He tried to think of a way to make it obey, but he was for all intent and purposes powerless within his own body. This was not good, while he had no control, he could see everything that it was doing and it was not going well on the outside either. So far there was no sign that commanding his limbs to stop moving was working, whatever this thing was, it was really strong itself. “Damn it, I told you to listen to me, you bastard!” he yelled, trying to get it to stop and focus on him. Then again, maybe that was the wrong method since it seemed like it was just a wild animal and that it lacked intelligence.
His body had ignored him once more and continued to destroy buildings that were around it, slowly inching closer to the more populated areas. This wasn’t good at all, he had to find a way to stop himself in place and prevent his instincts from harming people. What was the basis for controlling his Oozaru form? What was he missing that would let him turn this situation around? Damn it, this was probably not smart for him to attempt on his own. There had to be something that could reach this beast’s attention so that he could take control of its power before things went too far.
It’s alright Conri, just relax yourself
What are you doing losing to yourself you brat?
You can do it!
Don’t give up!
Four voices that he knew and recognized right away, bringing a wave of grief and happiness at the same time. It stopped him in his tracks, even his primal side recognizing those voices as it looked around to try and find the source. That was until something collided with its jaw to send it reeling backward, the blow taking the massive ape by surprise. “Pain in the ass kid, I didn’t teach you fighting so you could go and do this. Jeez, why don’t you try asking for help?” that voice was the most familiar, as he had grown up with it all his life. That sound was the voice of his father, a man that had apparently deceived quite a lot of people about his power until just now. As he fought against the monstrous form, Conri once more tried to take control and reassert himself as the dominant psyche of the body.
There was one tactic that he could try; it had been something he learned a while ago about how to help kids with certain issues. An exercise that helped them gain at least some semblance of control over their bodies, maybe it would work here as well. It was at least worth a shot, and so he tried to take the best soothing tone that he could muster and proceeded to talk to his inner instincts. “Hey, settle down now, there’s no need to be so angry. Calm down, and look at me,” he spoke as though it were a child. He doubted his instincts would take the tone as condescending, especially when he hadn’t meant it like that.
“Now, you need to settle down and stop being so aggressive, we have to work together,” he continued not willing to stop and see what was going on elsewhere. He needed this thing under his control now, otherwise he’d be likely to hurt his own father and that was something he didn’t want to do. Calming and soothing, his voice continued to try easing the rage of his own inner beast, if he could do that then maybe he could reason with it. Some animals could be reasoned with, so maybe he could do it with his own animalistic side. What surprised him the most was that it was working to some extent, he could feel the rage that had been drowning his mind begin to clear a bit. It would take more time than this, but it was starting to feel less oppressing towards him. It was a start, now if he could get this thing to calm down and let him take over, it would accomplish his goal. Baby steps though, he couldn’t rush things otherwise it was likely to resort in him going back to square one.
“Good, see this is the way to do it. Relax, no one wants to hurt you, even dad is just trying to keep you from destroying stuff,” he spoke softly. The anger continued to dissipate slowly, leaving a more calm and relaxed psyche behind that he could speak with easier. “Now, you need to let me take control, neither of us should get pushed to the corner, but we need to be able to control our actions,” tenderly trying to let him have control of his body. Although, he supposed it would be both of them controlling, since both were a part of him. It was all very confusing right now, but the fact remained, that he needed to get his transformation under control and so far this was working.
“Alright, now let me take over and we can get things under control,” with that, it seemed that his senses were slowly coming back to him. Hearing was the first; he could understand things a lot better now, the words becoming clearer as it was the sound of his father trying to call out to him. His sight slowly returned to him as well, becoming fully aware of his surrounds once more, he stopped his body in its tracks. Only to find he was being punched in the jaw by his father, knocking the large ape onto its ass, “Ouch, you would thing that my own father would recognize when I gained control over myself.”
“Oh, I did, that was for coming out here on your own and pulling this crap. Do it again and I’ll make sure it hurts a lot more next time,” he crossed his arms with a snort. Then just as quickly his arm lashed out and destroyed the Moon Ball with no effort at all. Something that kind of made him annoyed, what with him spending so much energy just to create the damn thing to have it popped like a balloon. It didn’t take long for his body to revert either, but before it had completely he decided something else for the next time to use that form. It wasn’t entirely bad to use his instincts for fighting, especially since it had done pretty well using just instincts. If he could combine his instincts with his intelligence just the right way, it would make him much more formidable than he was now.
He hadn’t planned to learn that from his bestial side, but it was something good to have in mind for the future. There was bound to be opportunities where it came up and he planned to do everything in his power to reach a style that blended intelligence with instinct. Shaking his head, he looked down at his hands seeing that he was back to normal now and walked over to his father, elbowing him slightly, “Let’s go get something to eat, I’m suddenly really hungry.”
With that, they headed back towards the main areas of Alpha Prime, finding a place where they could grab a bite. Conri would have to make sure to thank Akassa properly for making sure that his father was back where he belonged. Apologizing for snapping might not be a bad idea either, since it wasn’t something he had meant to do in the first place.

(Oozaru control: While in Oozaru form Conri is able to keep control over himself, although he does allow his instincts to guide him. While in this state, he is more prone to violent outbursts when angered due to his primal nature being so close to the surface of his mind.)
