William wandered around the dark, dangerous streets of Alpha Prime aimlessly. An hour ago he was hostage to a gruff man known as “Gunny,” and force fed information that he could not accept. How could he be a majin? And a technarcana at that! The boy didn’t even understand what that really meant. Perfect symbiosis of machine and magic? Preposterous. They were two opposite, and often opposing, forces. It was impossible to combine them.
Right?
Stepping into an alleyway, he leaned against the wall and faced the street. Watching people walk through the streets helped calm his mind. Then he looked down to a budding palm, and the tiny device which remained in it. It was a storage device which apparently contained information about this supposed majin.
“It can’t be true… Can it?”
As he obsessed over the impossible truth, he felt the device begin to sink into his hand. Waving the palm through the air, the storage capsule would not come loose. Instead it sank deeper and deeper. Beginning to panic, he grabbed what remained visible of the burying black box, desperately trying to pull it free. The harder he tried, however, the quicker it was pulled in, until it was gone. He paused, awaiting some kind of horrible reaction, but nothing came.
“Phew, I thought something bad would h-HOLY HELL!”
An immense pain washed over his body, crippling him as he fell into the rubbish of the alley, crying out in agony. Being Alpha Prime, no one paid any mind to his suffering. It did not originate in the hand, as he assumed, but rather his mind. Mental images of documents sped through his brain at an incapacitating rate. Twisting and turning he lashed out, punching holes in the surrounding walls in a desperate, mad, attempt to sooth his agony.
Then, just as quickly as the pain overwhelmed him, it dissipated, until he was left a heavily breathing heap amidst a bed of garbage. Pressing a hand against the wall, he pulled himself up, carefully so as to not lose his balance. The boy’s head throbbed and his vision was blurred. Looking to his hand he saw triple. Blinking to focus his vision, it all came together just as a foot smashed right into his face.
“Hurry! Get his wallet!”
A group of four thugs rummaged through his pockets until they found the bag of gold he received from a recent delivery.
“Jackpot!”
One yelled, before kicking William in the ribs. The other’s noticed the hefty prize and decided to join in. The took turns kicking him in the ribs, head, kidneys, groin and any other area they figured would cause in inordinate amount of pain. They planned to make sure this victim would not even remember himself, nonetheless then. It all came to an abrupt stop however, when one jumped back, falling on his ass as he gripped his foot.
“The son of a bitch bit my leg!”
Clear teeth marks could be made out through the blood as the remaining three prepared to end this charade. Nobody got away with hurting one of their crew after all.
“That’s it; let’s put this dog out of his miser-EEEEEEEE!”
Interrupting the vagabond, William’s fist struck him in the chest, before lifting him clear into the air. It did not end there, the arm stretched, lifting the mugger high into the air before stopping. He screamed bloody murder as he plummeted, while Willie’s arm returned with a snap reminiscent of measuring tape. The yelling stopped at the same time as a crashing noise hailing from a nearby rooftop.
“What the… Hell..?”
They back up against the alleyway’s wall as the ominous Willie rose, his eye blackened with traces of violent crimson as irises. Sharp needle like teeth filled his maw as he grinned maliciously.
“Welcome, to your nightmare.”
In a flourish of speed, hindered by his heavy weights but still leagues faster than his attackers, he kicked one in the nuts with enough force to send him hurtling straight into the air. Spinning to the second, he changed his hand into a massive mallet. With one smash, the man was left a sad pile of broken bones with haggard breaths. The third threw a punch towards Willie’s face, but was horrified when he caught it with his piercing teeth.
“AHHHH!”
With a punch of his own, William broke the man’s nose and rendered him unconscious. Releasing the hand the mugger silently fell to the ground. A familiar screaming, slightly higher pitched, came back in ear shot as the man who was kicked high in the air finally returned to the ground. Spinning in midair, Willie brought the hammer to bare into the man’s chest just as he reached the boy. The blow sent him through the alley’s wall and many walls after that. In the silence which followed, the man who believed himself to be human looked to his mallet shaped hand. Noticing a puddle of water beside his foot he knelt down; noticing the teeth and darkened eyes.
“I… Am… Majin…”
He mustered in disbelief. Who was this creature looking back at him? A moment later he stepped form the alley, his body returned to its normal human form. In his desperate need to understand, his body subconsciously absorbed the storage device and began scanning and then downloading its contents; similar to a normal majin absorbing a creature. It was too much to take in at once as his mind was not used to the codes of technology. In time he would be able to decipher the files; after all he was a technarcana.
Technarcana – The perfect synthesis of magic and machine; while his body benefits from the abilities of the magical demonic Majin race his mind reaps the awards of being a viable supercomputer. Bio-Androids are the link between life and machine, thus with their absorption it unlocks the technarcana’s full capabilities. Using his body’s liquefy feature he can easily interface with any machine, as well as being able to absorb any technology, assimilating it into his body no different than organic mass. This also allows him to do what other Majins cannot; absorb androids.
