Like something out of a movie, Zeke leapt clear from the ki slash before running along the wall in which he landed. Gripping the awkwardly long sword in his hands he tore from the dojo’s wall in diagonal fashion, combining his accelerate force with his own strength. At his diminished power level, Kosho was just able to bring up the flat of his family’s sword; the Masamune. A terrible clashing of metal could be heard as it absorbed the blow.
“Nice move!”
Not wasting a second, Zeke would pull the blade back, making practiced slices at his new master. Each slash would come impeccably close, but one last second side step or tilt of the head would leave it without purchase. Fearing that blocking with the obsidian blade would eventually shatter the Muramasa, he switched in mid dodge, sheathing the weapon which turned all else to warm butter before its edge, and pulling free the legendary Brave Sword. As he did so, the demonic blade came within inches of his forehead, cutting off the single length of hair that was his bangs. However, it was not a hand which brandished the weapon but his tail.
“Impressive! And a southpaw swordsman huh? Not too many of those around! I myself am ambidextrous and then some! Feel the wrath of Inigo Montailya!”
As the Blade Hermit declared his tail Harold’s warrior name, he side stepped and pressed forth, parrying Zeke’s strikes as he let loose a few of his own. This allowed for a fairer match up, given the tail’s limited reach and it being a weaker limb compared to his arms. However, decades of training had turned Harold into an impeccable swordsman. Meanwhile, Master Masamune grinned ear to ear, happy to be engaged in a trying contest.

So the man had trained himself to wield a sword with his tail as well. That interested Zeke, the Blade Hermit could effectively wield three swords at once in battle. This was not a skill Zeke would be able to learn anytime soon though, as his own tail was usually tucked away. He was also unable to move it much due to the things that had been done to him over the years... but maybe one day it would heal. Never having a reason before, this gave Zeke a reason to consult Dr. Walters about a possible healing process...
"What next? You'll hold one in your teeth as well?" Zeke asked, parrying the strikes. The tail wasn't quite as powerful as an arm, but it was fast and agile. The thing stopping Zeke from simply trying to overpower it was the fact that he would be still too long, and Masamune could lash out with a surprise blow.
Then again, maybe he didn't know Zeke would be prepared for that. Zeke decided to deflect the next few blows with some more power before clashing against the opposing blade hard enough to hold it still. Withdrawing his blade for another strike could be a chance for Zeke to follow through and land a cut on the tail or even a leg.
However, rather than wait, he would make it seem as if all his focus was on overpowering the tail, but he was really focused on the chair across the room, behind the tail from his viewpoint. With that, a little Telekinetic energy could pull the wooden chair across the room towards Kosho's head. From there, Zeke pictured one of three things happening. Either the man will dodge the chair or he will smash it away... or it manages to hit him square on. Any of these could be all the distraction Zeke needed to push the tail and it's blade aside and continue the same turn of his body to land a kick to the man's ribs. Or jaw, depending on his position as he moved to accommodate the chair's movement.

The kid is smart! Masamune thought to himself, as he followed the boy’s eyes while Harold lashed forth. Even while withholding his strength, he was still a master, and could tell Zeke was up to something. Instinct told Kosho to play it smart, to feel out the kid’s movements and wait for the right moment. But, with a grin, he figured what’s the fun in that?
“Let’s see what you got then!”
Pushing on, the Muramasa matched the Brave Sword blow for blow, until Zeke pressed harder and harder, the metallic clangs resonating more and more. Then the two met and no give was had between them. Masamune looked into Zeke’s eyes, but some them flicker to the side. What do you have planned? Tiring of the boredom that was a standstill, Harold pulled back for another strike; but Zeke was waiting.
As soon as the mystic blade pulled back, the boy was ready, using the length of the Muramasa as an advantage to strike the tail as it prepared its own strike. Being as agile as it was, it quickly bent away from the sword’s path; but not fast enough. A bare spot was now clearly visible on the appendage, a split second later and blood may have been shed. Out of gut reaction Kosho’s eyes narrowed and his nostrils flared.
The Blade Hermit was extremely protective of his precious Harold. After all, it was closest and dearest friend. But, within the same breath, he was grinning once more as he saw Zeke’s eyes flicker to the side once more. Pumping his brain full of ki by entering his Theta state once more, he became aware of a distinct whirring sound approaching him.
Hopping up to avoid it, he found himself ass first in a chair in midair. Using his weight, and the momentum of the chair, he backflips kicking Zeke right in the chin. Even if the unorthodox attack did not land, it would no doubt send the boy hopping back, as he would be still be following through with his own attack to counter adequately.
“This is wonderful! I haven’t had this much fun in years!”
Master Masamune exclaimed from the chair, which was hovering midst a cloud of iridescent particles. He was the picture of joy; the closest thing to a kid in a candy store. Folding one leg in a casual manner, he sheathed the Brave Sword before crossing his arms; still grinning. Harold, meanwhile, seemed to be pouting, no doubt due to his impromptu haircut.

Zeke was able to surprisingly land a small slash to the tail, careful not to sever it after he seen the blade make contact. He didn't want to piss the man off... tail re-attachment was an expensive and painful process.
Zeke knew first hand.
The Sword Master heard the sound of the chair coming through the air. Not a big deal, it was just a distraction anyway. The plan was still to use it to land his next attack, but to his surprise, he made a full spinning slash at nothing and received a kick in the face instead. His head snapped to the side, and he turned to see the man floating in the chair. He didn't realize that it was unintentional.
"Well, your faster than I'd expected to have planned that out so quickly. Now, wana see a magic trick?" He said, smiling.
He lifted his hand, a black energy cycling around it. He took control of the chair, and before Masamune would know what happened, the chair would explode into a bunch of airborne toothpicks. If the man was somehow floating by means of the chair and not on his own, falling was really going to be a 'pain in the ass' for sure.
Either way, the situation would just make Zeke laugh a little, a rare sound that very few have gotten to hear. "And I haven't laughed like this in years!" He would say before shethin his blade and waiting.

"Well, your faster than I'd expected to have planned that out so quickly. Now, wana see a magic trick?"
Kosho gasped dramatically, mostly for effect, at the man’s choice of words. The glowing dust was magic in action, however while he had taken control of the chair upon sitting in it, it did not protect it from Zeke’s telekinetic powers. Whilst still levitating, the modest wooden furniture erupted in an explosion of wooden shards.
“And I haven't laughed like this in years!"
Indeed, this impromptu attack was quick witted and potentially painful for the posterior. Nook would be tweaser deep, picking splinters from his glorious cheeks for hours. However, it would not be the case, as when the chair exploded, Master Masamune became transparent as he continued to levitate in a seated position; as if the seat was still there.
“Magic tricks huh? You’re talking to the right guy!”
The visage would laugh, while simultaneously Kosh would appear behind Zeke, kicking him stiffly on the right side of his midsection. No doubt this would send the boy flying towards the wall upon landing. This was one of his favorite spell; Zanzo Majutsu, an advanced form of the more common Zanzoken in which the user infused magic into the afterimage to make it more than a two dimensional blur bearing your resemblance.
“Now, you want to see a real Magic Trick?”
He queried with a coy smile. Holding up a hand, tips up, palm in, fingers outstretched and tightly clenched, it quickly began to glow. In an instant he snapped his fingers apart, and the glowing ki transformed into four orbs of ki which rested between his digits. Much like Zeke’s telekinesis, the attack itself was not ‘magical,’ but that did not make it any less fun or nostalgic.
With an overhand throw, he’d toss the red balls of pulsing energy at his first student in years. They would seek out their target until they found purchase or were destroyed, and were nothing to snort at. Though they were dangerous, and not easily dismissed, Kosho had faith in his new pupil’s ability to think on his feet.

“Magic tricks huh? You’re talking to the right guy!”
It was strange how the man turned transparent all of a sudden. Was it some kind of illusion? It was similar to something he was thinking about developing himself. He quickly realized what was going on when he heard the sound of a foot hitting the floor behind him, giving only enough time to brace for the next attack.
He took the kick, throwing him into a nearby wall. He turned himself so he hit it with his feet, trying to absorb most of the impact. “Now, you want to see a real Magic Trick?” he heard as he flipped off the wall back to the ground, only to look up to see a cluster of red orbs coming at him. He gritted his teeth and sprang upwards. To his surprise, he caught the motion of the orbs change to follow him. He waited for them to close in a little before he used his telekinesis to push himself towards the wall again.
He would look back as he ran down the wall again, seeing the orbs had curved around to follow him. They kept enough distance from eachother that they wouldn't collide, but this would cause one to strike the wall trying to follow and explode. The damage to the wall however was not much, as Zeke was reminded that the Dojo was designed to withstand their attacks.
Zeke smiled.
Running full speed downward, it looked as if he was actually going to plow face first into the floor before being bombarded with the orbs. However, this was not the case, as some real magic would be used to part the floor with the black smokey energy enough to fit inside, making it appear as if he almost ran down through it. It closed behind him at the last second, the durability of the floor taking the explosions from the orbs.
Meanwhile, Zeke ended up in what apparently was some kind of basement or cellar. It was dark; a ball of ki shed a little light to allow him to see the vast collection of liquor the man had obtained. Zeke chuckled. "This guy has more here than Kazu's bar does."
He looked up, opening the floor once more and jumping back up again as it closed beneath him. He wondered if he could simply mold the floor up around Masamune and trap him there for a while. If he didn't have the room to move, it would take a while to break through. However, the man could just use that maneuver again to evade the attempt likely.
"It seems we have a few similar techniques already." He stated, referring to his ability to release the crescent shaped attacks and manipulate the environment.

The boy is quick on his feet, the Blade Hermit thought with a smile. Observant, he had noticed the homing factor of the Magic Trick orbs and then used the magic spell incasing the room to his advantage. Manipulating the matter of the dojo’s floor he created a hole just long enough to disappear through it. Just as the wood reformed, the orbs collided, though they did not explode. Instead they disappeared into the floor as if pebbles falling into water, each creating ripples, defying nature and science.
As the magic barrier absorbed them, Kosho tapped the side of his scouter shades, causing the lenses to light up as it tracked Zeke’s movement. He would be in the Hooch Cellar, surrounded by the finest liquors from across the universe including the only bottle existing in the universe of the Planet Vegeta Original; Saiyan Comfort. One of his most prized possessions, alongside his flask, which houses the only other supply of SayCo.
Moments later he would reappear in identical fashion in which he escaped the ki orbs, opening a hole in the floor just long enough to come face to face with his new Master once more. Kosho was impressed, even more so than before. After all, the true measure of a warrior is creativity. You do not need to be the strongest or even the smartest to win. The ability to think outside the box, or in this case room, is often the deciding factor.
"It seems we have a few similar techniques already.”
Masamune smiled at the comment, as he had noticed the same. It was yet another thing which reminded him of himself. Though there were aspects of him which reminded him of another; another harbinger of death a universe apart. He hoped that he could inspire the light within the boy, to squelch the darkness that threatened to taint his soul. After all, being killed by an Angel of Death was not something he wanted to experience again.
“As they say, great minds think alike Ezekial-san! I must say, I am quite impressed with your ability and cleverness.”
The master swordsman spoke truthfully as his hand rested casually upon the hilt of his swords. It was a habit, a mannerism he often performed subconsciously. However, its intentional purpose was to always be prepared; and in this particular case it was to be ready for whatever Zeke tried next.

He hoped the man was starting to take notice of Zeke's ability. Zeke would never make a claim at being some kind of greatly skilled swordsman, but he at-least considered himself to be at an adept level. As a matter of fact, that's how he would always think of himself. The title of 'Master Swordsman' would never be accepted... there was always more to learn.
"Well, thank you. I don't get many positive comments on my ability, soon you'll have it going to my head." He smiled, crossing his arms as he usually did, putting his thumb and finger to his chin as if he were thinking while he spoke. He would drop his hand and point a gesture to the man's tail.
"I honestly never expected to see something like that. I'd like to learn to be able to wield a blade in that fashion... but my tail has been weakened beyond such use. I'll have to come back once I find a way to have it healed."
He would stretch out his arms and crack his fingers before he drew his blade again without making a motion to attack quite yet. "So how about we kick it up a notch? I have yet to use my full power." He said it as if to inform Kosho, not as if to try and impress or intimidate. He already knew he was outclassed. He may keep the weights on for now, the Sword Master may not even realize Zeke was wearing them quite yet.
Zeke figured he would power up to show the man his transformation, then possibly try to surprise him when his coat fell and he cane at him at his maximum. He was determined to land at least one more strike on the guy and show this maximum, that way Kosho would know what he had to work with.

"Well, thank you. I don't get many positive comments on my ability, soon you'll have it going to my head."
The Master of Blades was more than happy to give credit where credit was due. The boy then motioned to Harold, who was still seething from his impromptu haircut.
"I honestly never expected to see something like that. I'd like to learn to be able to wield a blade in that fashion... but my tail has been weakened beyond such use. I'll have to come back once I find a way to have it healed."
“I would be more than happy to teach you my Tri-Blade Stance. Sadly healing is the one ability I cannot perform. However, in my experience, New Namek is always the destination for someone looking to learn the art of healing; or benefit from it.”
Ezekial stretched, preparing, as it were, to step it up. A point proven as he unsheathed his lengthy Muramasa. The Blade Master noticed weighted clothing however; good he thought, they were a necessity in the training to come.
“So how about we kick it up a notch? I have yet to use my full power."
Immediately he lunged with the blade as his strange transformation took hold. Not something normal of an average saiyan. So perhaps his original scent provoked questions were correct. In time, perhaps, the boy would come to trust the lovable oaf that was the Blade Hermit. The Scouter Shades registered his powered up, yet still weighted, level to be 50,099.
“Your will is strong.”
Releasing his own power to his base, the hand which had rested on the sword, had been transferring energy throughout the blade it so lazily rested upon. It pooled within the sheathe and in trademark fashion, Kosho drew the katana with such speed, reminiscent of zanzoken, in a form practiced thousands of times for days on end, that the withheld ki escaped with such explosive power that it would erupt from the sword master in all directions in a burst of golden energy similar to the bakuhatsuha technique.
“Show me how strong!”

Zeke smiled. He was actually having fun! Sure, he'd never win the fight without some miracle or some fluke, but that didn't matter. He wanted to show a Master what his full potential was. He wanted to know just how good he really was. Maybe one day he could match Kosho in battle... but for now, Zeke was just going to do his best.
Zeke's eyes would glow as his aura flared up, not showing off the actual Angel of Death appearance yet. The power would provide more impact to his slashes, but Kosho's power would easily counter this. Zeke would just smile and make a slash at Kosho's torso, drawing back and following with a stab.
How much stronger and faster was Master Masamune now? Zeke was itching to find out. He also wondered what kinds of things the man could teach him... what if Zeke already knew all he could know? That was actually one of his fears. To have nothing left to learn... so boring.

Zeke’s response was to flare his aura, his maximum strength giving a glow to his eyes. Strange for a saiyan, Kosho wondered if he was holding something back. Slashing with his seven foot monstrosity at the Master’s torso and following with a lunging stab, the move seemed noncommittal.
Undoubtedly he was testing the waters of the Hermit’s full base power. Utilizing his unrestrained strength he pulled back, the blade just grazing his armor, and then quickly sidestepping, the sword putting a whole straight through his duster.
“Tell me, Ezekial, what swordsmanship means.”
Throwing up an arm he emits a powerful kiai at NeCross, no doubt sending the boy reeling back, though it would do no damage. Immediately he would thrust the raised arm forward, a blast of golden energy bursting forth as the God Breaker beam would leap from the palm. If he wanted to take it up a notch, the Master would oblige.
“What is a blade to you!?”
He would yell over the pulsing energy of the school’s signature beam technique, as the mastered move shot forth towards the ‘Angel of Death’ at dizzying speed.

His attacks hit clothing and armor, but that was all. Zeke prepared his next strike, but he was knocked back suddenly, looking up to see a hand raise up. He knew something bad was coming, throwing his own hand up in return.
"Aegis!" He yelled, barely getting the barrier up in time before the God Breaker slammed into it. Zeke withstood it for a few moments but the shield shattered, causing Zeke to throw up his arms. In a couple seconds, Zeke was left floating over a fissure, his sleeves torn to shreds.
He ripped them both off in one motion, throwing them aside. He gasped for air, exhausting alot of energy defending that last blast. Zeke looked up at Kosho, sheathing his blade but keeping a hand on it.
"The meaning of swordsmanship... A blade to me... It has always been to be used to take life when told to. A tool for making a kill, nothing more. But I know now... that is not right. It's far from right."
Zeke looked up at the Master. "I don't know the answer to that question, Master Masamune, and I believe that is the reason I have come here. Not to better my skill or learn fancy magic... but to learn what swordsmanship truly is!" He said the words with determination. Zeke didn't want his blade to be a simple took for killing. He wanted to think of it as more.
His father had pounded it into his head for years. A tool for the kill. Swordsmanship was to make a quick, clean and efficient kill and move on. It was to obey your master and carry out the order. But Zeke often questioned why he should do any of that? It never did feel totally right to him. So the day came that he left to find out.
Zeke drew his sword in a flash, ten cuts appearing through the air around Kosho Masamune. Zeke wondered if he had ever seen this technique before... Zeke himself would have never thought of it. The translucent beams floating in the air would all become slashes all at once when he fully sheathed his blade, with he did, pulling the sheathe from his hip and sliding the blade in with a click.
This was what he was truly looking for. A real master.

The quick thinking abnormal saiyan threw up a ki shield; smart as taking the move head on would have been lethal. As it was a master technique it broke through the defense and continued on with credible force, evident by the crater left around the new student. While the boy gasped, the floor magically repaired itself, its own defenses even having failed beneath the might of the crescent wave.
"The meaning of swordsmanship... A blade to me... It has always been to be used to take life when told to. A tool for making a kill, nothing more. But I know now... that is not right. It's far from right. I don't know the answer to that question, Master Masamune, and I believe that is the reason I have come here. Not to better my skill or learn fancy magic... but to learn what swordsmanship truly is!”
Zeke’s answer wrenched at the Master’s heart. It was no doubt this father he had spoken of earlier who had bred him to think such ways. It gave him some comfort though that the boy saw that it was wrong and wished to learn the truth. Then he unsheathed his sword in a flash, creating ten translucent lines in the air, one for each slash.
As the hilt hit the sheathe they became razor sharp as they sped towards the Blade Hermit. Infusing the Brave Sword with ki the Master flew at the slashes. Energy too began coursing through his mind as he entered his Theta State. Utilizing his increased mental processing and scouter shades he slipped through a majority of the slashes, breaking through the ones he could not with the Kikoukenjutsu imbued blade.
“A blade is so much more than that young Ezekial-san, much more than some tool. It is an entity in itself yet also part of you. In order to wield it properly you must be one with it; just another limb no different than an arm or leg. I will teach you my friend that the sword was meant for so much more than death; that it’s true purpose is to protect life, not end it.”
One slash did graze him however leaving a cut that just broke the skin above his knee, letting a little blood trickle out. When he was clear of them he would unsheathe the Masamune blade infusing it too with ki as he began to spin, pointing each sword outwards. Moments later a razor sharp golden tornado of energy would take his place as it approached the boy.

To protect life, not end it... Zeke was surprised to hear those words. Recently he has been using the whole 'Angel of Death' label that the media had given him as a way of going out and hunting down all the people that needed to be killed. It wasn't just limited to the murderers who cheated the system, became free, and walked around with no shame. It also wasn't about the cereal killers who wake up every day, planning their next innocent victim. There were also others out there. Political men and women who were using their power to line their own pockets. The big corporation guys who cut back good, honest working men who have families to feed. Drug suppliers who make the worst substances known to man available for children to use.
Partly he felt that he could release his bloodlust on these people. It felt good to watch them die... but there was another feeling there as well. It was stronger and better. The feeling that taking that one person out of this world, he had made many others lives better by his actions. Another child free of drugs. A victim saved. A working man who will keep his job. He was protecting lives... by ending lives. But did that mean he already knew the meaning? Or was he still missing something?
Zeke had grazed the Master a little. It seemed to set him off, causing him to unleash some kind of whirlwind sword slashing attack. Zeke gritted his teeth, preparing to cast his Aegis again. But then he looked up at the top of the whirlwind as it rapidly closed in. He smiled, blasting up and backward at the same time to evade the storm of blades. He then channeled the glowing white magical energy into his blade as he blasted over and down the center of Kosho's attack, pointing the blade downward. He would attempt to cut down through the spinning whirlwind and stab his blade into the master's arm or leg. He wanted to show he wouldn't hold back.
However, with all this spinning and dust being swirled around, he couldn't see what he was aiming for, only sense that Kosho was there...

The words seemed to have some profound effect on Zeke; or perhaps the Master’s ego was flaring up again. Smartly, the boy leapt into the air after pausing for a moment to think, using the one opening in the move. He wasn’t the first to do so and he certainly would be the last.
As the Muramasa entered the golden whirldwind of blades the Masamune exited. Utilizing the more basic zanzoken this time, Kosho shot around back to the boy as the blade pierced the flooring. However, the many times the Master had used this escape the wielder did not have a goddamn seven foot monstrosity.
Appearing behind the boy with a wicked grin, he would be sporting a gash in his right thigh. Utilizing all his base strength, and unhindered by any weights, he would have the Masamune and Brave Sword hovering but a hair over NeCross’s throat and gut respectively. A single movement and he would cut into the boy, though a small one if anything as he did not wish to hurt him; merely make a point.
“I am stronger than you, Ezekial-San, and you have done many, many bad things. Between assassinations and vigilantism I wouldn’t want to even think of the number. Do I then have the right to kill you just as you apparently do to murder evildoers as you see fit? Open your throat and abdomen here and let the blood spew and entrails pour out? I’m sure you have done much worse too many of your victims.”
The blades remained perfectly still; close enough to stop a bead of sweat from rolling down his chin.
