Once all the members of Team B entered the ship, the engines were soon initiated and blastoff out of the Omega Collective. Man stood by a mirror and witness the world shrink before him and fade into the black void of what he would now learn to be space. It was like falling off the pages of a book. Leaving the only home he ever knew, his scouter was soundless but something inside him caused his body to shriek the presence of danger. His eye twitched at his reflection with the uncertain sensation overwhelming his being like a virus; the realization that death was staring at them from the other side of the glass and its grasp repelled by the tin can holding them. He trust the ship knew which way to go, as they had preset it on autopilot, traveling towards the coordinates Prometheus had set out for them.
Suddenly, just past his faceless visage, the darkness was lit by thousands of stars scattered across the scope of space. His scouter would attempt to count them all one by one, but it would incomprehensibly falter and fail flat on its face. There was something very familiar about the view, as if met for the first time a second time. And in the distance his face would morph, but although that image was but a carved shadow, he knew it was him; the person he could not remember. Man squint his eyes as if the attempt would help reveal the man's face and revoke the past he never had, but the obscure figure alluded his mechanical mind and as he placed his hardened hands over the window's glass, it vanished... The ship was very quiet; with an icejin, the namekian, and himself, it made for very poor conversation.

"What a view..." Words that left Frigid's mouth as a gasp as the ship began liftoff, removing the Icejin from the only place he'd ever known. Watching out the opposite window of Man, he would see the artificial planet shrink until it became a speck in a sea of lights. Though magnificent, the sight was overwhelming; Frigid having to sit down and take a deep breath. There was no fear in him, but nervousness seemed to bloom from somewhere deep inside him.
Looking to his team, he would do his best to hide such weakness. He needed to be in control of himself. But this was just so sudden. So different. Traveling in space, away from the place he'd spent his whole life, was hard. Even seeing the varying alien species on the Collective, it was hard to think that there was something else out there. But the fact remained the same; there was something else out there. And more than just one something; there were billions of planets out there, maybe more.
Looking back to Man, Frigid gulped hard, watching him stare out the window. Perhaps he was feeling the same thing Frigid was? Standing back up, propping his back against the wall, Frigid finally decided to try and break the silence. Man had said nothing since arriving on Alpha and meeting the group. Now might just be the time to change such a thing."So... Man is it?" he asked, hoping to grab the red-armor-clad warrior's attention, "How exactly did Zex rope you into this mission?"
Knowing little about the man named Man, Frigid was taking a shot in the dark, hoping that he could at least graze the surface of his new team mate. Knowing nothing was no advantage that Frigid could see. He knew enough about Banduk, having bonded with him in his bout during the tournament. Raising a quick brow, he would look to Banduk, as if to ask if he had any information of the stranger that was now trapped in the came ship as them. The young Namekian was one to do his research; maybe he knew something. Or perhaps it was just wishful thinking; the way Man had stared at Frigid just making him paranoid about the stranger.

Man sullenly and futilely studied the stars. His database provided little groundwork from which to build his knowledge; for one who knows nothing can understand nothing. The icejin approaches him. There was no chance of sneaking up on the android, his scouter kept their geographical locations up-to-date, continuously. No doubt he planned to start a conversation. Man had not acknowledged his presence, not withstanding, he listened. "Master Zex did not rope me into anything," he clarified. "I am an android created within Alpha Prime. My sole purpose is to serve the Lord in whatever his endeavors may be at any time." Or so was part of the truth. Naturally, he could not go around telling everyone he met that he also worked for King Arctic, or that his true purpose was to eradicate the saiyans. It was likely he'd find an ally within any of these individuals, but there was a reason why their goals had been placed upon a machine to fulfill. Living beings were unpredictable and unreliable creatures, they tire and required food and living space; on the other hand, Man was content with just standing in a corner until he was needed. The perfect servant. Perfect soldier. Perfect slave...
Man glanced at Frigid's reflection next to his. The information he disclosed wouldn't go unpaid. In return, he would reinstate the question. "What about you," he said monotonously, "why are you here?"

So, Man did have a voice. As his spoke his voice remained flat, monotones, catching the listening Icejin off guard. Man told him he was an android, created only to serve his master. The thought made a dry chuckle escape Frigid's mouth. He too, used to think similarly, serving only one person, never catering to his own desires. A life unbefitting of a man.
Smiling, Frigid decided he would answer the man's questions, and share with him. What could it hurt? He would need to bond with the whole team, and what better way than to learn about them.
"I was like you once... I served the Icejin Kingdom as a guard for many years. This was before Artic took the throne, mind you. Things were a bit different. But over the years, while I began to grow older, I found the serving life rather dull. I left the Kingdom and entered the Galactic Tournament out of dumb-luck, really," laughing lightly, Frigid found it humorous to get as far into the tournament as he had from dumb-luck.
"Once the tournament ended, I had no plans and was invited on this mission. What better way to fill my search for adventure, right? After all, a man can't truly fulfill his potential without living for himself once and a while."
Leaving out only minor details, this was basically his whole life story. How short and bleak it truly was only resonated as he told it. Soon though, that would change. The chances of just that happening when the ship landed were high as the sky. Frigid would just have to wait and see what was in store.

And there it was; right there, the rhapsody of every living being that ever existed. The search for thrill and self-accomplishment -whatever that meant. He couldn't help but think back to everything his master had fed him about organic lifeforms. How arrogant, conceited, and undependable they were. What the purpose behind his foundation was and why he was a necessity. Frigid's words backed up those beliefs and reinforced them. The reason why Lord Prometheus favored Man was not due to the polished steel, or his ability to read other's power levels, or his unchallenged strength. It was his lack of self-awareness and personal desires. He was a machine without aspirations; thus, he had no selfish or hidden endeavors like the rest. Man was an honest being who needed nothing but an order and he would follow it to the letter until the mission was complete. And that's exactly what masters and rulers wanted from their soldiers, that's what religion wanted from its followers; blind faith and unconditional loyalty.
"I am going to ask a question," The android said casually as if it were normal for someone to announce what they were about to do. The icejin might have even been fooled enough to smile at the fact that the android demonstrated a modicum of curiosity about his life. But the reality was that after a few moments of silence and introspection, Man's words could make the spaceship seem a whole lot tighter and cramped. "What's it like to live without direction?"

"I'm going to ask a question," Man announced, causing Frigid's head to cock to the side with curiosity, "What's it life to live without direction?"
If Frigid was as proud, and ignorant as many if his kind, such a question might offend him. But brushing it off with a light chuckle, he held a single finger out, "I am going to counter your question with my own," Mimicking the pause Man had made, Frigid soon continues, "What is it like to live without freewill?"
The question was one that Man might take seriously, but Frigid turned back to his own window, careful of each step, hoping to dispel just that. For the Icejin knew all too well exactly what that was like, and having walked both paths, he would choose the one he was currently on over the other in a heartbeat.
He was truly happy with leaving the Kingdom and starting on his own. Had he not, he never would have formed the strong friendships with Kurosanai, Conri, Banduk, or even Ninjin. He never would have realized his true potential, or that he was different than the other Icejins. Had he never taken the path he was on, he never truly would have became himself. And what is a life, if the one living it is pretending to be?

Surprisingly enough, the team member who'd spent all of his days preparing to defend Namek seemed to be the one most used to space travel. Both Frigid and Nam were quite astounded with the view, and while Banduk was still definitely impressed with it himself, he wasn't quite so astonished as he was the first time he'd taken flight to the Omega Collective. Instead of gazing out the window, Banduk chose to sit down on the floor against a wall that was in between his two comrades. With Frigid staring out one window and Man staring out the other, Gundu remained silent, closing his eyes as he took several deep breaths. While his companions were busy admiring the view and getting to know each other, Banduk's thinking was as cautious as ever. He was too anxious to make idle small talk. He was focused on the mission ahead. While he didn't know what kind of roles might be taken by his two partners, he suspected that he might be tasked with taking charge as a sort of 'squad leader' if necessary, and if neither of the others stepped up. Obviously, something like that might not even be required, but Banduk always wanted to plan ahead. It was times like this where he thought that he might have had a habit of over-thinking things...
Listening in on the conversation between Frigid and Man, Banduk opened a single eye in order to look over at Man. Frigid's question intrigued the Namekian, and he wondered what kind of response the android would formulate.

The ship glides silently through space. The cold vacuum surrounding the small metal tube with its three passengers safely guarded within its bowls. A mysterious man had sent all three to this remote place in the galaxy, far away from anything they knew or anyone they loved. They had all been brought together by one method but hailing from different backgrounds. Each had what they dreamed of, what they fought for, what they loathed, and what they regretted but it was here and now that they had to deal with. Coordinates given by the strange man seemed to fill all with anxiety, from the ships to those on the Omega Collective to those across the universe that had heard about.
The time was now. The time to see what else lied within the vast expanse of the universe.
The sun crested over the edge of the vast planet creating a scene that only writers dream of, that artists try and capture and that all those that had the least bit of perception were left in awe of. As the sunlight illuminated the surface the planet appeared a pale gold with few clouds dotting the atmosphere. At first many would think it beautiful but upon closer inspection those observing the planet would find that it appeared dead. Computer assessments would reveal that the surface of the planet to be arid and deserted. There were no structures of note located on it while the computer would begin to howl at lack of proper magnetic fields protecting the planet from gamma radiation and heat. This was no doubt the cause of the immense desolation on the planet below. The very same magnetic field that seemed to doom the planet seemed to disrupt all sorts of equipment from communication gear to radar to navigation systems.
As the ship approaches the planet the equipment on the ship begins to howl as the magnetic field effects it. At first it is just the radar, and communications. However the problems quickly spin out of control as the magnetic field moves throughout the ship causing more and more problems to arise. Lights begin to go off signaling that part of the engine has gone offline, and then followed by the ability to maneuver the ship properly. Soon the gravitational pull takes the ship and starts pulling the ship down towards the barren surface. Brace for impact, the ship is going down.
(Note that communication between the two ships is disabled due to the magnetic field of the planet and that neither ship is in visual range of one another. Once all three have posted within the thread one more time then the next Saga thread will be opened.)

The icejin receded back to where he stood. "Freewill?" Man uttered back to the wind, contemplating the very meaning of the word. Such an empty word, he thought. His eyes wandered aimlessly in the stars with no restrictions but the frames of the window outlining his vision. However, if one leaned closer and looked at another angle with a different perspective, then they could see -just a little more, before the very walls of the spaceship disclosed no further. The android rest his hands over the bulletproof glass, and with enough pressure it began to crack. He infringed his fingers through those cracks, the air from their vessel whistled as they were suctioned out into the void, and when the glass finally shattered he was engulfed by the darkness and sucked out of the ship. His body floated in the vast of space as he watched the spaceship continue towards its destination without him and leaving him behind; the muffled thrum of the ship displacing outward diminished as it became just another dot on the horizon. And so the android was left floating throughout the cold vacuum to explore what would be an endless voyage from which he might never meet its end.
Man shifted his body and began to move forward in strokes, like treading water, he crawled along. In space, he felt no temperature or pressure, he just was. The android began to navigate the stars and search through its edges. He left no stone unturned as he searched for a way back home, but the deeper he went into space, the further away he drifted from his destination. The more he discovered, the more he strayed. He was both everywhere, and nowhere. Such was the nature of Frigid's freewill. One, if able, could go to the far reaches of heaven and find the rarest and most mysterious corners of the universe; uncharted by any living creature. But one would never again find home or what they were searching for. Freewill was to live life at random, one mundane event after the other, with no meaning. No direction. It would take you anywhere but the place you most desired. The android stopped, defeated by his fate and allowed himself to drift. And then, so suddenly, everything around him began to ripple like a drop to water. Confused, he listened to a distant whisper. The more he focused the louder it became, and the louder it became, the more it sounded like a siren -or an alarm. Everything began to shift and contort around him as a giant meteor made its way toward him. He panicked, for he could not evade it in time and felt his body still. He closed his eyes and braced himself for impact. When he opened them again, he found himself back inside the spaceship, staring at his reflection in the window with his hand resting gently over the glass. Past his reflection he witnessed a golden planet, lit by the dawn, it dragged them into its atmosphere.
Perplexed, he retracted his hand from the window and glanced around the room. The ship shook violently and flickered red as they approached the golden planet. Static bolt throughout the ship and lights burned out. Man crouched as to not lose his balance. His mind raced for solutions -but there were none. As they all knew, nobody could stop the falling leaves of October. The android stood paralyzed by the magnetic field of the planet, unable to do anything but stare at his teammates. He thought back to Lord Zex, King Arctic, and Master Ivan, and wondered if this was as far as their prodigious experiment would go. He vowed he would complete every mission to the letter, no matter what it took, but now he lay defeated and pegged to the ground in this confusing haze; fated to perish like the very men Prometheus sought them out to find.
Man grimaced and clenched his teeth as he began to struggle against the forces plotting against him. I will not... fail! his body trembled, and bolts unscrewed from their fissures as petrifying electricity coursed across his being. But he was winning, he was defeating the magnetic waves dragging him down, the sudden gravitational pull, and the weights constricting his body. That is, until the ship endured a final shove from the magnetic field and everything went silent. The alarm shut off, along with every other machine within the spaceship; including... Model Zero. Rendered unconscious, the android dropped to the ground like a rock. His head hit the floor directly, with an audible THUD! His grayed out pupils gaze heedlessly at the floor, like the carcass of his past.

Banduk waited, his breath quiet as Man uttered the word 'freewill' questioningly, as if thinking about how he would respond. The response never came, as instead the room was filled with the urgent buzzing of several sensors and sirens within the ship. For reasons beyond Banduk's understanding, the nearby planet began interfering with the vessels systems. Quickly rising to his feet, the young Namekian looked out the window at the planet below, his eyes darting toward the terminal that was flashing various warnings and error codes. "What's going on?" he mused aloud, making his way over to the ship's controls instinctively, though he knew he would have no idea how to save the flight course. Man collapsed to his knees, seeming to struggle against whatever force was causing the ship to have its own set of problems. Banduk quickly pieced things together, realizing that any electronics on the ship were failing. "Frigid, know anything about ships?" he asked hastily, turning once more toward the computer, his eyes scanning everything on the screen. He didn't understand a single word.
Before either of the organic lifeforms could come up with a solution, a sudden blackout within the hull was accompanied by the distinctive thud of Man hitting the floor. There was a brief moment of silence before Banduk felt the ship begin to plummet uncontrollably, leaving two aliens and an unconscious android to escape the now useless metallic shell of a vehicle. After frantically tapping a few keys on the control panel in hopes of getting any sort of response, Banduk decided their only hope was to somehow get out of the ship before it collided with the planet below. "Frigid, grab Man!" Banduk called out promptly, bracing his feet against the shaky floor of the cabin and pointing his right hand up toward the ceiling. Grabbing hold of his wrist with the opposite hand, Banduk opened his palm and let out a grunt, firing a concentrated bolt of Ki directly upward. By the time the Namekian was able to open a sizable hole in the roof, Frigid would have time to get a good grip on Man. "Come on!" Banduk yelled, leaping out of the newly-created escape route, hoping that Frigid was close behind. With both of them outside, the ship was left falling for just a few seconds before crashing into the barren ground below.
After taking a deep breath, Banduk assessed his surroundings. "How's Man?" he asked downward, now levitating as he checked on his companions, namely the one who was unable to save himself. While he waited for feedback from his Icejin companion, Banduk looked around, observing the desolate wasteland around him.

As the small ship began to approach the planet, Frigid was able to catch a glimpse of the most beautiful scene. An orange sunset over a wasteland. Though there was little to see, Frigid had only seen Omega his whole life, so taking in the scenery; it was truly something else. Closing in on the planet, alarms and beeps began to sound. Looking up the the ships cockpit, gauges going crazy, red-lights pulsing, Frigid stood speechless. This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Frigid, know anything about ships?" Banduk asked, desperately thrashing on the keyboard to no avail. Suddenly, the lights and alarms stopped, an eerie silence overtaking the ship. "Frigid, grab Man!" Banduk shouted, snapping Frigid from his shell-shocked state. Turning, Frigid nodded, seeing the android Man unconscious on the floor.
Quickly rushing to the androids aid, he crouched down, flinging him over his shoulder. Though Man weighed more than Frigid had imagined, the Icejin had enough power to lift him. "Come on!" The Namek shouted, escaping from a hole he'd blasted in the ship's ceiling. Frigid nodded, grunting under the combined weight of his weights, and Man, but leaped into the air, exiting the hole. Taking flight, Frigid watched below as the ship plummeted into the hard ground below, causing a sizable explosion with it.
Turning to Banduk, Frigid huffed loudly. He was just happy everyone made it out alright. "He's heavy," Frigid said with a light chuckle, still trying to shake off the shock, "It seem like whatever happened to the ship, happened to him too... Let's just hope it is only temporary..." Eying his surroundings, Frigid could tell they were in trouble. With no way of communicating with the other team, they were as stranded as the people they set out to save...

Banduk would smirk at the android's failure if not for the situation at hand. The fact that a high-tech, inorganic creation failed where two natural fighters succeeded was almost amusing to Banduk, who was admittedly a bit jaded when it came to advanced technology versus old-fashioned tradition. He would have time to think of that later, however, as now was the time to come up with a plan.
"Indeed. Losing a comrade after just landing would make for a rough start." Banduk mused in response to Frigid's words. With that, the green member of Team B took a deep breath to collect his thoughts. Before any course of action could be decided, and before anyone could think of searching for Zex's lost recon squad, the two teams had to reunite. There was one way Banduk would be able to do such a thing. Closing his eyes and crossing his legs in mid-air, as if sitting in a meditative position on the ground, Banduk relaxed his mind, only using just enough energy to keep him levitated. "See if you can wake him up somehow, and perhaps figure out what went wrong. We'll worry about the ship later..." Banduk said, knowing that they would likely be required to fix the vessel at some point before leaving. But for now, Gundu concentrated, clearing his mind of all conscious thoughts and opening up his Ki senses. He was already familiar with Conri and Kurosanai's energy signatures, so locating them on the planet wouldn't be entirely difficult, it would just take a few moments to do. If possible, Banduk would also attempt to communicate with them via telepathy. He didn't see a reason why doing so would be impossible, but after the rather inconvenient and inexplicable difficulties that came with approaching the planet, Banduk didn't know what to expect.
