Strolling into her newly enhanced training room inside of her ship Akassa smirks some; ready to get to work now that the room had been completed. The gravity chamber had been the first thing she installed and finally she had saved up enough for a simulator. Now, no matter where she traveled and who she travelled with the Princess had to means to train to her heart’s content. Unlike a organic opponent the simulated enemies the machine was able to produce would never tire or stop unless she gave the order. Moving to the center of the room she takes a moment before speaking to decide on exactly what she wanted.
”Recreate the coliseum on Alpha Prime and give me a simulation of Conri Lane, the Champion. Do not have him attack me though, I wish to speak and learn from him first. Also increase gravity by a multiplier of 10.” As the area around her shimmered for a moment it was then shifted to represent the very coliseum she had fought in on Alpha Prime. After the area was recreated a silhouette began to form, quickly a representation of Conri. The likeness was unbelievable, even that strange blue hair he had the exact shade she remembered. As fond as Akassa was of her own strength and good old fashion blood and sweat to accomplish ones goals, she could not deny the advances technology had undergone. Even though this Conri was not the real one it possessed all the knowledge of the real one, gathered from all the information she had been able to gather on him, including footage from tournament. Beyond that the large stores of knowledge that had come with the model meant it knew how to replicate far more techniques than she knew. Snorting some she shakes her head at that thought. The machine may contain much more knowledge then her brain ever could, but it would never be able to utilize it, it had no free will.
“Hello Akassa.”
The simulated Conri didn’t have exactly the same personality as the real one, probably because the machine didn’t have that corky sense of humor the half-saiyan had, Akassa was just fine with that.
”Greetings Conri. I need to help me with something. That Psychokinesis technique you know, I want you to teach it to me. Having seen Ezekiel NeCross and yourself use it and felt you use it against me I have come to realize how useful such a technique can be.” It felt strange to talk to him and was part of the reason she had given an order more than made a request. Really it was just her simulator she was talking to, yet it felt strange since it looked just like the real version, all the more reason to get down to business.
“Alright, take a seat and I will explain it’s really not that difficult.”
Hesitating a moment the Princess moves to sit on the ground, crossing her legs underneath herself as she sits. Settling into place she starts to look up before being instructed to close her eyes. Eyeing Conri a little she remembers again that it was not the real one and no antics like what he tried on Alpha Prime should come from this one. Closing her eyes the Princess then starts to relax at his instruction. Not sure what he was getting at she assumed it was a quick exercise to get her mind to focus. Although she didn’t know how to use the technique herself she had hypothesized that it came from the mind, the nose bleeds that came with its apparent over usage.
"First thinks first Akassa you need to focus your mind. Psychokenesis may utilize Ki like many other techniques, but only to power the brain. Mentally you need to focus that energy and combine it with your will in order to exert it on something else."
Eye's still closed Akassa nods in response, doing her best to calm her mind. Letting all her recent stress go, so much having been on the females mind since the tournament, she begins to focus on the task at hand. Having this technique at work on several occasions the Princess knew it would complement her fighting style. As a brawler she always brought the fight to her opponent, but more often then not the one she was fighting against did their best do distance themselves from her vicious attacks. If she could master this technique then she would have the ability to pull individuals towards, in range of her deadly strikes.
"Now, if you truly feel your mind is at ease open your eyes."
Opening her eye's Akassa saw Conri was still standing in front of her, but held a rock in his hand. Where had he gotten that from? Had the simulation created it in preparation for what it planned to teach her? Most likely. With a smirk on his face the half-saiyan throws the rock up once letting it drop to the tiled floor of the coliseum.
"When you are ready try to reach out for the rock with you mind. Wrap your will around it, imagine yourself grasping it with just your thoughts."
Stepping aside he motions to the rock before moving even farther out of the way, wanting to allow her to focus solely on the stone. Eyeing the rock Akassa does as instructed, doing her best to focus her mind on the stone. Normally this was not her style, the Princess relying on her physical toughness in most scenarios.
For several minutes she couldn't even shake the rock, the still chunk of minerals mocking her efforts. Never giving up easily Akassa continues to focus her mind, trying to unlock that hidden potential that numerous beings possessed if they were able to harness it properly. Suddenly the stone slid a little to the right, her exertions finally baring some fruit. Smiling some the female doubles her mental efforts as she now attempts to lift it. Feeling herself sweating slightly she is gradually able to lift the rock.
Confidence building she starts to bring it up even harder thinking she had control over it now. Unannounced a hard flick came to her right ear, the Princess jumping from the sudden finger to her sensitive lobe. With her concentration broken the rock drops back to the floor with a lack, Akassa whirling to glare at the one responsible. Grinning down at her Conri had already taken a step back. About to snap at him the simulation cuts her off.
"Before your throw a fit I am only helping you. Don't you want to be able to use this technique in combat? How much help do you think knowing it would be if all I had to do was flick your ear to disrupt it?"
Mouth open to reprimand him Akassa decides to say nothing. One it was just a simulation and two it was right. Using the ability in combat would require her to focus through such distractions and worse. Still seated she turns back to the rock, settling in for a second attempt. Focusing her mind and will upon the stone once more she begins to lift it from the tile again. Of course another flick came to her ear, but this time she focuses through it. Having past his little test she starts to spin the rock in the air exercising her mind a little as she explores the new power. "I believe I am..." The Princesses words are cut off as a hand slaps her hard across the cheek, the harder blow enough to break her concentration for a second time.
Snapping her head back to look at him once more Akassa glares daggers in his direction Conri again having taken a couple of steps back to distance himself from any immediate retaliation she might attempt. More than just angry the Princess thrusts her right hand out towards him, fingers bending in some as if trying to grab him from afar. Without even realizing it, her emotions controlling her actions she grips him like she had the rock. Clutching him with her mind she then lifts him from the floor, several feet into the air. ”Do not slap me like that again.”
Despite the fact he was currently being held up in the air the half-saiyan starts to smirk at her. For a moment it only started to anger her more, the Princess not understanding the expression. Only after a couple of seconds did she realize she was using psychokenesis to hold him up in the air. Eyes widening Akassa then starts to smirk back at him. Conri had most likely meant for the slap to test her concentration, a test she had most definitely failed. On top of it that it had hoped her to subconsciously focus, the raw emotion allowing her to use the technique more effectively. Suddenly not so angry she releases her hold on him, the male dropping back to the tile floor.
“See, I told you it wasn’t that hard.”
”So it would seem…I would thank you if you weren’t simply a simulation. Now to begin the next phase of our session.” As Akassa rose to her fee the simulated Conri just shrugs at her words, not seeming to care whether she thanked him or not. Part of her wished she could have learned the technique from the real thing even if the real individual had some annoying quirks. Through their last session she had learned to look past his strange personality to see the capable warrior beneath it. While he had made several…inappropriate advances he had listened when she advised him he was crossing a line. Perhaps like with Ezekiel and Celeh the two could become friends. Backing several steps away from him she stretches some before motioning to him. ”Let’s go Conri.”
Standing across from her Conri made no attempt to charge her as the Princess actually concedes the first move to him. Quickly getting bored with several seconds of waiting Akassa was about to make a move when a familiar smell filled her nostrils. A quick learner in terms of combat she knew exactly what it was, the female throwing herself to the side just in time as a bolt of electricity slams into the ground where she had just been standing. Hitting the ground and rolling right back to her feet Akassa launches herself at him, her Ki whip forming over her right hand.
Leading her assault with several sharp snaps of the whip to put him on the defensive she closes in. Once within striking range she lets the whip dissipate in order to free her hand back up. Both hands free she assaults the fake Conri with a flurry of strikes, the simulation struggling to dodge and block them due to the fact its "power level" was equivalent to her weight dampened one. Blow after blow was barely blocked or twisted away from as he was forced to backpedal across the coliseum. When Akassa felt he was focused on her striking fists she quickly takes a half step back before her right leg snaps up and forward into his abdomen. With a grunt the male was sent rolling backwards across the tile.
Ready for more Akassa moves after him as she launches two blasts to cover her pursuit, the clouds of dust the two resulting explosions throw up momentarily shielding her from his view. A moment was all she needed as the Princess came barreling through her created cover to slam hard into his chest, her shoulder leading the way. Again the male half-saiyan was sent tumbling backwards away from her and again she pursues him. Perhaps this simulation machine wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Sure she had requested that the computer match him to her power, but this fake Conri wasn’t even putting up a fight. Compared to the real one the simulation was a joke.
Chuckling Akassa rushes him again, flipping in the air as she draws close to slam both of her feet into his chest with the hopes of knocking him from the arena platform. Her attack connects like the previous two, but with one major difference…Conri’s arms wrapping around her shins as her feet connect. The blow no doubt “hurt” her target, but he manages to stay on his feet, the force of the double kick sliding him backwards across the tile. With a tight grip in her legs she goes with him, the Princess trying to use her bukujutsu to fly free of his grasp. As his feet come to a stop she feels him shift, her body tensing some as she realize what was next.
With a heave an a one hundred and eighty degree twist Conri brings her up and over, slamming her down hard into the tiled floor. The force of the impact was enough to send cracks through the platform, Akassa groaning as she starts to shove up to all fours. Suddenly a hand grabbed a hold of her right foot, yanking it right out from under her again before pulling her up into the. Lifted up once more he then drives her back down into the tile close to the spot she had been moments before. Slightly dazed and quite aggravated the Princess begins to rise again, expecting the hand that soon grabbed onto her ankle for a third time.
Looking back to him, blood running from her lower lip and more from her nose she lets out a cry, her frustration evident. Like earlier in the session and many times in her past, Akassa’s emotions fuel her strength, allowing her to reach deeper then she otherwise could. Without really putting much thought into it her right hand snaps out towards him, palm open as she lets out another scream. Accompanying the scream was a powerful kinetic blast, the attack an extension of the psychokinetic abilities he had helped her to unlock.
Completely unprepared for the attack Conri is launches backwards, losing his grip on her ankle in the process. Panting some from the sudden exertion on her mind the Princess hops to her feet. Seeing him tumbling through the air she reaches out with her mind to grab a hold of him, stopping him mid tumble. Her assault did not end there though; with a motion of her hand she yanks him up into the air before ripping him back down to roughly slam into the floor like he had just done to her. Mind still gripping him she lifts him off the ground only to yank him forward. As he comes towards her she grins, enjoying this new power, her hand thrusting out to throw him away from her yet again with another kinetic blast.
Still breathing heavy she watches him drop to the far side of the coliseum floor, the male groaning some from so violently being yanked around in the air. Beginning to stalk towards him she reaches out with her mind again, this time attempting to grab a chunk of the arena floor and lift it free. Stretching her will over the desire area she starts to pull, but a sudden sharp pain rips across the top of her skull. Actually crying out, something she rarely did, Akassa drops to a knee, clutching at her head. The pain continued, growing in intensity as she felt a warm sensation in her right ear. Dropping to the ground as her eyes squeeze shut she now realized it was blood she felt trickling down her ear.
Curling up some she felt as if her head was going to split, not understanding what was happening she tries to focus. In her agony she failed to notice her simulation had ended, the fake Conri gone and the gravity back to normal. Writhing in pain Akassa hears a voice, the voice of her ships artificial intelligence.
“Princess, I have run a quick scan of your vitals and they seem to be fluctuating violently. A Ki scan of your body hints that your cerebrum has a high had too much Ki forced through it, perhaps a result of the psychokinetic abilities you were testing. Calm yourself Princess and it should pass.”
The last thing Akassa wanted to hear was directions from a machine, but if following them would cause the pain to subside she would listen. Trying not to focus on it or anything for that matter she lets her body relax. Slowly but surely the pain begins to fade, a dull throbbing left now as she uncurls from the fetal position she had adopted to lay stretched out on her side. With a groan the Princess rolls over onto her back, noticing she was looking up at the ceiling of her training area, not the simulated stars that had been above the coliseum.
”Thank you Resolute.”
“You are welcome Princess. It appears that technique puts massive stress on one’s mind, you would be wise to limit its use in the future.”
Choosing not to comment on the suggestion Akassa simply lies there, her breathing slowly returning to normal. Able to think now, most the pain gone, she analyzes her mistake. She had grasped the technique…at least at a starting level, but having gotten carried away with it had cost her. If she was to use it so recklessly in a real fight, the helpless position it had put her in perilous should a foe be near.
Slowly sitting up she rolls her shoulders, having a headache, but hopefully no lasting damage. In her fights against Conri and Ezekiel she had seen them suffer similar backlash from over usage, but not like that. Whether it had been her inexperience or the intensity in which she had used the ability, it was different from what they had gone through. In the future she would not use it so carelessly. Despite all the pain she felt her training session was worth it. Akassa would suffer through anything if it promised to make her stronger in the end. Snorting she rises to her feet, it was time to rest, there was much more training to be done.
(PL please, Weights, Simulator and x10 Gravity in effect!)
(Techniques Requested:
Pyschokinesis – Akassa has learned to channel Ki through her mind so that she can use it to manipulate and move objects without physically having to touch them. The bigger the object, the harder it is to move.
Kinetic Blast – By gathering a large amount of psychokinetic energy Akassa can then release it in a powerful blast wave. The attack does not really do much damage against foes of equal power as its true purpose to shove her target away from her.)
