Today was a momentous day. No longer, would the two scientists have to dwell in their problems with finding Model Zero a training partner. No longer, would they have to waste resources on simple machines whose only purpose is to be destroyed. No longer, would Zero's training be delayed by the lack of worthy opponents capable of taking him down a peg or two. No longer! No longer, would they have to risk the presence of a saiyan inside their walls and have him fry all of their hardware with some electromagnetic dipshit. A shed of tear welled up in the scientist's eyes as he gazed at the roof of his lab. His fist was pumped up beside him as he smiled graciously. There must be a God! He thought. But then he saw the electric bill and revoked his statement.
"Doctor!" Ivan called. The reptilian scientist raised his head from the screen. "Get Zero ready! We're going to test this baby out..." His colleague nodded while grumbling to himself something about unfinished work, but Ivan was too busy expressing his gratitude to a wall.
Shortly after, Zero was called out as requested. To him it was just another day in the gravity chamber. He assumed he would be fighting under thirty times normal gravity and he was going to try some new weapon installed in his body the night before on some contraption they picked up from the junkyard. Soon enough, Ivan buzzed in as was the usual and laid out the plans for the day. Man looked up to indicate they had his attention; not that it'd be elsewhere anyway. "Alright Zero, today you are going to train under increased gravity thirty times its normal intensity. Prepare to fight your opponent..."
"Alright, how does this thing work..." the scientist pondered as he probed their new apparatus with his imposing eyes. The Doctor walked in the room with a small booklet in his hands and started reading teasingly, "well, it says here in the guidelines-" "-gimme that!" Ivan barked, snatching the booklet off his clawed hands. The Doctor hissed as he ostensibly vanished into the shadows of their lab. "What!? I have to invent a fighter first? That could take hours!" he whined, slamming the booklet on the table. The scientist slumped on his chair discouraged and pouted at the screen. Zero had been gazing at the far end of the room, waiting for his opponent to walk out of the trap door like they always did.
Suddenly, he had an epiphany. The scientist's eyes glimmered as he shot up from his seat. The chair he was in swiveled back behind him. "The saiyan!" He exclaimed. They had all of his data stored on their computers! Without any more delays, the scientist pulled down the crank and ordered all his little hamsters to jump on their treadmills; Frankenstein was about. The Doctor ceased his child-like behavior and followed his colleague to the small screen. They hunched up together, fighting cheek to cheek for a glimpse. One stared slantwise to the other and commented, "we're gonna need a bigger screen..."
Back inside the gravity chamber, Man remained patient as he awaited for his challenger to step up. He found it odd that it would take so much time to send out a single unit. But at last, it was time. However, he would have never expected this... The chamber reverberated with an uprising drone sound. It started soft and then elevated in pitch. It was then that he witnessed a warrior manifest before him from the ground up, starting at his feet. It was almost like a live scanner. Man had a good idea who it was by the time it got to the waist, but it wasn't until he saw the blue hair that he accepted it as fact. Conri Lane, standing before him once again.
Man unsheathed his sword immediately and prepared to strike him down, but Ivan stopped him. "Calm down Model Zero. If you look at him closely, you'll realize this is only a copy of Conri Lane, a simulation." Man squint his eyes in disbelief, but taking a closer look he was convinced. The simulator might be able to copy the way one looks, smells, and even their attacks, but not their personality. This saiyan was much too quiet. The android ceased and stood straight to listen. His blade was still in his hands, he was going to fight this clone, that much was obvious.
"Starting today, all of your training sessions will take place a similar form. Next time, it may be Conri again or it may be someone else you've faced in the past." Man nodded. "Alright, we will now change the scenery a bit and increase the gravity." Man's eyes lowered back to the blue haired saiyan standing about two yards away as everything else morphed around them. Soon enough, they were standing at the center of Alpha Prime's very own Arena. A gust of wind passed between them. They waited, letting the moment sink in before the a smirk crossed the saiyans face and they were out like a flash of light.
As the two approached, the android's eyes resonated with the gem on his forehead and began to glow a bright teal color. He had ascended to his Override state, now in full power against the saiyan replica. Man began with an upward thrust of his saber, but the saiyan feigned back and jumped away. He took that opportunity to read his power level and it was displayed on Ivan's monitor as he did. "60,000" the Doctor recited, "just like before." Ivan nodded. "Incredible, isn't it? It seems like yesterday since they fought against each other. Zero was no match, but now he stands a fleeting chance as long as the saiyan does not transform."
Zero dashed forward after him. His saber buzzed with every hack and slash, but the saiyan continued to allude him as he backed away, leaving dirt rising at his wake. The android was getting tired of him and slipped out his pistol. He began to shoot energy bullets one after the other. They were small but bright beacons of light, which made it fairly easy to spot and avoid. The blue haired saiyan shift his body accordingly to bypass the bullets, and in turn he raised a single hand in the air, calling forth electricity with his simulated mind and tossed it like a spear to smight the foolish android.
Man skipped to the left, evading the chirping lightning bolt by a strand of his golden hair. However, it was only a distraction meant to mask the saiyan's approach. His scouter alarmed him of the threat growing closer, but by the time he took the chance to gaze at the coordinates, Conri was already under him with an uppercut to the midsection. Man's body jerked down over his arm. The saiyan was so muscular and full in comparison to the android's slim figure; if his body were as soft as it looked, the saiyan's fist might have dugged through his spinal cord.
He tried to recover his footing, but Conri took advantage of his stunned state and turned on his toes, delivering a backwards roundhouse kick. The heel of his twirling boots struck the left mandibule on the android's face. Man could not feel pain like others did, but even he was victim to the laws of gravity -especially when it was thirty times the norm. His body lurched to the right in mercy of Conri's leg. Man could have followed through with a counter attack, but his limbs were much too heavy to move fast enough. Instead, he endured another blow to the gut; this time a knee.
Conri, the champion of the intergalactic tournament, grabbed onto the collar of the android's red jacket and pulled him in just as he brought his knee and jabbed it in the android's stomach. He then pushed Man out and slammed his fist across the android's face; soon after, he pulled him in again and repeated the previous move by jabbing his knee into the android's midsection. The succession continued for various cycles like playing staccato on the drums. Each strike had a different, disconnected and raw rhythm. But even the short lags between one blow and the other were fast enough to stop the android from trying to retaliate. That is, until Man let go of both saber and pistol, allowing them to drop to the ground.
When the saiyan pushed him out with his cocked back fist, Man blocked it with his right arm and locked them together tightly while he wrapped his left arm over the saiyan's neck. Holding him steady, Man looked into his eyes and the emerald jewel on his forehead began to glow. The saiyan would struggle against his grip, but he would then start to feel his strength leak out of him. Model Zero had no need for external energy, but this excess energy would provide him with an extra boost. The sensation was odd and inexplicable, but his thin muscles seemed to slightly bulge and eat away at the saiyan's power.
Conri shuffled around trying to break lose of the android's grapple, but they were locked in place. Instead, he resorted to multiple jabs at Zero's obliques with his free hand. Strike as many times as you want, Man thought. The android's face was unaltered and immovable. His eyes showed no sign of pain, only black pitless pools of coal that stared into the simulated soul of his opponent. However, he could not maintain his grasp forever, as the saiyan discovered a fatal error in his technique. With one arm locked around Conri's and the other behind the neck, there was nothing between them. The saiyan snarled and jerked his face foreward, slamming his head against Model Zero and interrupting the process. Promptly after, he used his psychokinesis and sent an invisible wave that propelled the android out of his sight.
Unfortunately, for the simulation, Man recovered quite quickly and landed on his feet; while the saiyan was hunched down trying to catch the breaths he stole. He wasn't going to give him that chance. Zero dashed forward, picking up both of his weapons on the way and engaged in a series of slash attacks. Thanks to the saiyan's added energy, the android was experiencing a slight surplus in power that allowed him to move slightly faster than before while the saiyan felt winded. Notwithstanding, Conri was still much stronger and faster than Model Zero, but perhaps now he would be more prone to mistakes.
One after the other without faltering, the thrusts came searing past the saiyan as he jerked lethargicly in his efforts to escape injury. He may be stronger, but only one of them got tired and one of them was not Zero. It was only a matter of time before the android managed to tear up the saiyan's clothes and inflict some minor cuts throughout his body. The blood dripped down his wounds as they continued to dance the ballad of the sword, and each cut would serve to hinder the saiyan's future performance while Zero would remain steadfast with his infinite supply of energy. Standing at 60,000 power level Conri Lane had the advantage, but Zero was not outmatched. He had a very real chance of winning!
However, the excess energy he absorbed from the saiyan did not last forever and he soon felt the weight of the planet crash down against his shoulders once again. The strength of the gravity and his heavy weights disrupted his tempo and gave the saiyan a chance to sucker punch him in the face and send the android sprawling back against the stoned walls of the arena. Zero's body was laid flat on the concrete with his figure outlined along the wall. It held him up until he climbed out. Man then peered through the cloud of dust left at his wake and with aid from his scouter, spotted the silhouette of the saiyan just in time for the Masenko.
Out of the dust, a yellow beam of energy roared at the skies and ricochet towards the android while burrowing through the ground below it. Five yards away and he could already feel the incinerating heat emanating from the blast. Man braced himself and jumped high up into the air, as far as he could. Conri's attack continued heedlessly against the stoned walls. Airborne, Man stows away his weapons; his right hand collapses into his wrist to reveal the built-in cannon just waiting behind it. The lights glimmered in a clockwise fashion and gathered towards the center, unleashing a similar energy wave inspired by the saiyan's Masenko. This one however was more explosive.
Hell's Flash, a fitting name for his attack, such was the indiscriminating hands of hell as it reaches out from the ground and takes life in an instant. Conri was strapped at the tail of his own energy wave. By the time he had finished, he only had time but to shield his face with both arms overhead. The moment Zero's energy wave hit the ground like a hammer it ransacked the ground and ruptured into an explosive blaze that cratered the ground and disintegrated tiny particles in the air. Upon landing, a powerful gust of wind rushed like a torrent from his own technique and dragged the android's feet back against the dirt. His golden hair fluttered behind him as he covered his face with his forearm. Man's scouter commenced calculation.
BAM There he was in the blink of an eye. The saiyan skipped the cloud of smoke and bashed his elbow against the android's face. Most of his clothes were gone, and his muscular pale skin steamed from the cuts dealt by his saber, now seared shut and cauterized by Hell's Flash. Man hit the stoned walls like wrecking ball and Conri followed through with a hammer blow to the midsection. The android's body jerked forward, but remained pinned to the wall; now his prison. The blue haired saiyan, rage in his eyes, fired off with consecutive and fast paced kicks and punches. There was no way Man would be able to absorb more energy from him, not if he was pinned against the wall like so. And like any other combo, after the rapid blinding strikes, came the hard power moves.
Conri knew if he stopped to take a step back, Man would just crawl out of the wall before he could do anything else; so the saiyan curled his fingers around the android's slim neck with one hand and rammed his other fist at the center of his chest. Man's body dug deeper into the stoned walls with every bone shattering blow and became engraved into it with no chance of escape. The saiyan finally jumped away from the android and summoned balls of ki into the palm of his hands. The rest could be easily predicted as he flung the first ki blast, it marked the beginning of a barrage style attack. Model Zero's jewel glimmered to life yet again and every ball of energy launched at him was dissolved into the air as nothing more than ripples.
Following behind the saiyan's assault, bewildered and confused by the android's ability to absorb energy, he clasped his hands together and hurled another Masenko. Man panicked and vigorously tried to jerk his hands out of the protruding rocks that binded him, but he was so deep he couldn't even turn his head. His closed his eyes shut, bracing himself for impact, and screamed out in a final attempt to break free; hoping the vibration in his body would release him from the shackles that confined him. Suddenly, a powerful barrier resonated from the gem on his forehead and expanded outwards. It was too far away to pose a threat for the saiyan, but it crumbled the wall around him and stopped the saiyan's energy wave on its tracks.
The Masenko boomed against his new found barrier. The entire foundation of the arena shook violently as a shock wave pulsated from the collision of both forces. Model Zero had no idea how he was able to create the forcefield which now stood between him and Conri's energy wave, but his only focus for the moment was somehow maintaining it. "Haha!" A familiar voice echoed with lilt. It was Ivan. His voice was like that of God's speaking to them from the heavens. "I see you discovered the new mechanism I installed last night, isn't it neat?" he cooed through the microphone. Man clenched teeth in efforts to keep the barrier from caving in against the overwhelming force of his attack. It burned through all the excess energy he absorbed like boiling water turning into vapor.
"Unfortunately, as you may have already noticed, it was not intended for you to block ten feet energy waves. I'm surprised you're still standing!" As it turned out, androids may have an infinite supply of power, but that did not mean their power did not run out. Even androids needed time to recover the energy used in an attack. The notion of infinite power supply only implied that, given time, it was guaranteed he would be able to produce the energy again. In other words, they never tire; organic beings, however, they were a ticking clock, and the energy they used could run out.
Inevitably, the laws of battle took its course and Man's Android Barrier vanished, leaving the saiyan's Masenko free and uncontested as it buried him into the falling stones of the arena's endlessly thick walls. The simulated saiyan gasped for air. Having kept the energy wave for so long depleted his energy as well. He observed the rubble slide down as Model Zero shuffled on the inside. It was only a matter of time for the android to beat him out of sheer resilience -and nothing more. The only way to beat an android was by making sure they could no longer stand up. But the saiyan had used up far too much energy to be capable of such a feat. Therefore, taking advantage of the moment, he used all the energy he had left to charge a white sphere into the palms of his hands and toss it towards the sky.
By the time Man climbed out of the pile of fallen stones, Conri Lane was already in the process of transforming. Zero witnessed this briefly during the intergalactic tournament. The saiyan would stare at the artificial moon, stunned by its blutz waves emitting from the sphere. His body pulsated and slowly embellished as it grew in size, muscle, and power. Conri's face morphed into a muzzle and snout, red eyes full of hatred and furr; finally, Oozaru. Man took out his pistol and shot a few rounds at the hulking ape monster standing before him. The energy bullets cut through the air, but the saiyan's thick hide nullified them. Oozaryu Lane glanced down at him and stomped at the ground. Man jumped out of the way in an effort to create more distance between them. There was nothing he could do against someone with this much power-level. He had already tried with Wrath and Vespasian. The numbers could not be disproven.
Man attempted everything he had, but none of them worked. His bullets were much too weak to do any damage. And whenever he tried to approach the saiyan with his saber, he gets nearly squashed by its feet. He attempted Hell's Flash, but even the explosive power of the energy wave was no match. Conri simply scratched himself in the area, as if it were a mere mosquito. Then, he finally tried Renzoku no Energy Dan; his red jacket opened at the center and a set of built-it cannons shot dozens of energy blasts like a machine gun. The result? Oozaru Lane -who did not have blue furr- reached through the energy blasts with its gargantuan arm and grabbed onto the android, completely unaffected.
He grinned, showing off the fangs that flagged its mouth and grinded the android against the stoned walls, slammed him to the ground, trampled him with its feet, kicked him against the wall, and picked him up again. Model Zero was breaking into pieces with minimal armor covering his body. The giant ape was now crushing him with both hands. Zero's circuits sparked with sporadic current of electricity snapping at its etches. He clenched his teeth, as if it would help, as he struggled to break free from its deadly grapple attack. It was no wonder a saiyan would sacrifice the last of their remaining energy; with this much raw power, they had no need for ki attacks.
"HYAAAAAGH!" Zero shouted, summoning his android barrier. The technique was successful in warding off the ape's gritty hands, but then it slapped him on the spot and sent him pillaging towards the ground like a ragdoll. Oozaru smirked. It walked slowly towards the android. Man lay with limbs spread out. He could get back up -but then what? There had to be some sort of weakness... someone with this much power must have some kind of flaw... but that sort of reasoning implied that Vespasian -or even Wrath himself, had some sort of flaw. But he was sure none of those flaws would be enough for someone of his caliber to benefit from. He needed to grow stronger...
Conri was standing above him, letting the scene sink in, building up tension as it rose one foot high and aimed steady over the android's body. Then, Ivan buzzed in, "Alright, that's enough for today." In an instant, the saiyan vanished in a flash of binary code -along with the arena they had thoroughly demolished. Model Zero found himself back inside the gravity chamber. For a moment, he had forgotten it was all a simulation.

Android Barrier
An energy barrier owned by almost every android throughout history. This is an Energy Shield that protected Super 17 from Goku's self-destruction technique. Not only does it defend the user; but, by enlarging the sphere, they can actually damage their surroundings. The barrier can stretch up to 5 feet around its host, although he can not do anything else during its execution. And it can not be maintained for long periods.
