“Sir, we heard an interesting report this morning.” Mercy said walking into his office without knocking. Normally if someone had been foolish enough to do that they would pay with their lives. He would personally see to it that they did not repeat their mistake. Actually it might be easier if he just installed a trap door right by the door to his office, push a button and fall into a pit of snakes, or maybe he should buy a tiger? Either way it would save him the effort of killing the offender. Men of power shouldn’t have to do things with their own hands. Still he knew Mercy well enough that she wouldn’t interrupt him unless it was urgently important, she had earned a bit of leniency, unless this report proved worth his time she too would pay for her impertinence. He looked up at her questioningly, cupping his hand together in front of him to wait for her explanation.
He noticed she hesitated slightly and it made him smile. Even though Mercy was the only human he could say he truly trusted the fact that he could still inspire fear in the woman brought a smile to his face, she was too valuable to kill at the moment but that she didn’t know meant her loyalty wasn’t in question for the moment. “Sir, our reports say Fuhrer King Buraddori has fallen.”
“What!” Rosen said standing up behind his desk and immediately reaching for his jacket. “What was Kami’s response? Did the old man take out the King or just allow it to happen? How did it happen?” He never broke his stride as he started walking towards the car but the woman kept pace with him answering his questions one at a time.
“All reports agree, Kami was taken out as well, though he was later freed the man is a shadow of his former self. Reports say that a new king named Kemuri has taken the throne from him by force, somehow taking out both the Fuhrer and the Guardian in one move.”
Throwing on his jacket he inspected himself quickly, everything had to be perfect, first impressions stuck and he needed to meet the man capable of silencing two of the most powerful men on the planet at once. And if he was lucky he could beat those bastards from Capsul Corp and UNITY to the punch as well. Arrangements could be made with the new King but only on the condition the man respected Rosen.
Being respected wasn’t something Rosen had needed to worry about in years. He was the head of interplanetary company, he was strong enough to get away with literal murder unchallenged. But this new King Kemuri was clearly a giant in his own right. A small smile played on his face, his suit as usual was perfect, impeccably tailored and in power colors to show everyone who saw him that he was in charge. Ever the pragmatist Mr. Rosen got into his town car.
“Mercy, get me to the palace as fast as possible. Break any laws, pay any fines, we will beat those pricks from Capsul Corp if you have to run a bus full of orphans off the road to do it.”
As the car began to pick up speeds he felt a slight bump as Mercy drove onto the sidewalk to avoid traffic at an intersection. Driving like a lunatic was a risk he was willing to take in this case, if he had received the news first, if the representatives from all the other major companies didn’t know about this yet he would have the first opportunity to reach an arrangement with this new King. Staring out the window of his car he saw a young woman jump out of the way, using his telekinesis he pushed the woman’s baby carriage out of the way, he couldn’t afford to get blood on his car before the meeting, Mercy should know that…
The recklessness paid off however as less than ten minutes later the car skidded to a stop in front of the palace grounds. Even though she slid into the spot Mercy had parked it masterfully as if she had pulled in calmly perfectly against the curb. Stepping out she hands Rosen a wet nap and he begins cleaning his hands immediately. Once he’s done he drops the napkin on the ground.
“Recycling is for peasants.” Turning towards the giant palace he smiles, little men feel the need to compensate, there are so many other ways to demonstrate your power over someone. Now, let’s go meet our new King. “Let the games begin.”

Jenn sighed as she relaxed, a few moments of peace were a pleasant relief from the events of late it seemed that such moments were getting rarer and rarer and it made her almost miss being 'trapped' in the ring again, especially considering her other option at present was remaining under Kemuri's command but alas that was not an option and thus she needed to deal with being around the bastard himself, the looming battle with the forces of Earth that she would need to take part in, the fiasco with UNITY and the irritating fact that they were more or less a constant threat since many of them were undetectable by her normal means, and to top it all off there was the new animosity between herself and Anri that was still eating at her, for the most part she truly did enjoy the company of the Vennor, he had a bit of a rough personality but overall didn't present himself as a particularly bad person, he was however without any real moral compass as far as she could tell and it infuriated her that she'd been utterly incapable of changing his mind about working for Kemuri. She didn't know if he would actually speak to the bastard about what had happened but if he did then Kemuri wasn't doing anything about it, while Kemuri would likely be able to put together that the woman Anri had encountered was herself it was unlikely that the Vennor would be able to do the same until he saw her in action.
Jenn wasn't entirely sure WHY she wanted to keep the separation present, it wasn't as if there was any benefit considering how much she had gone and told him anyway, the original plan had been to use it as a means of making sure that if she did anything against Kemuri in Anris presence that the Hyena might not know it was her but of course she'd gone and all but outed herself throughout there entire conversation and battle. It was almost comical how little actually divided her human guise and her true self now. Since that encounter she hadn't taken on that form outside of her hall as well and on top of that kept away from Anri's energy signature to avoid another confrontation and thankfully it wasn't exactly the most difficult task in the world to avoid the Vennor, he unlike herself was capable of leaveing the castle at will and on top of that when he was around he generally seemed to keep near Kemuri, another person taht Jenn took great effort to avoid at any cost.
Though of course actually keeping away from Kemuri was likely only possible because the Hyena was willing to allow it, he could call her to his side whenever he wanted with the use of the ring and on top of that was likely powerful enough to track her down with one of his smoke-clones if he didn't actually feel like using the ring's power for whatever reason. That power certainly would make the coming battle quite interesting Azazel had clocked in almost as powerful as Kemuri at the max he'd displayed and with the time they had ti was possible she'd only gotten stronger by now if Kemuri hadn't ALSO gotten stronger there was a chance she could outright rival his strength which meant he was unlikely to be able to use that power, the only problem was of course that if Carla and Azazel WERE all the Earth had left... that put them very firmly in danger between herself and Anri it was likely they could take down Azazel unless she'd gotten unimaginably stronger the wild card being Carla how far could that girl progress in this time? Enough to hold ground against Kemuri until by some miracle Azazel DID take down herself and Anri?
Jenn was pulled from her thoughts as she heard a terrible screech as one of the strange metal travel things pulled up to the castle and somehow managed to slip into a spot intended for such vehicles perfectly despite the speed, out from the car stepped a man in what was likely very expensive modern clothing from what Jenn could tell he tossed something to the ground and began making his way toward the castle Jenn raised an eyebrow at that the man didn't exactly have the look of a warrior though of course she knew that looks were not always to be trusted a look into his strength told her that he WAS in fact far stronger than expected from his looks but still not exactly anything special he was someone that even Bear could handle in a fight, was this another looking to join up with Kemuri? Something about how he moved and the look on his face was eerily reminicient of the hyena himself, the same sort of ultra-confident 'I am the best' look that managed to translate even from 'Human' to 'Animalfolk' Jenn rolled her eyes as she lifted herself to a seated position he'd be passing her soon enough as she'd taken up a spot outside the entrance to the castle and unless the man had arranged for a meeting he'd be stuck up front here for a bit unless Kemuri hadn't ordered the guards to keep people out, that was certainly a possibility since there was likely little actual threat anyone could pose to the hyena. For now she'd watch and wait though.

The high clouds rolled above the castle as the light wind pulled them towards the horizon, as they would eventually dip over the curve of the planet. It was a rather cool day with the large puffy clouds blocking out most of the sun but occasional beams of sun light would penetrate through the wall of white and light up the ground, almost looking like a heavenly beam. Loud snoring could be heard coming from atop of the castle as the plated alien lay against the rough tiles that ran their away across the roof top, it wasn't the most ideal place to nap given the slant of the roof and tough tiles but it was quiet and there wasn't anyone around to bother him, more of that point Kemuri. It was his job to be his merc but being around the man for too long was beginning to wear on the Vennor, there was only so much he could take of people per day and he had reached that limit. Rather than follow the dog man he slipped away when he got the chance to go take a long break, and by that he meant a long nap away from anyone.
Things had gotten heated up around the castle since after his and Jenn's fight, she didn't take too fondly of him rejecting her offer and had more than shown it. He held no had feeling towards here, he was never one to hold a grudge, such things took too much energy and time that could be spent on more protective things. Though he had barely thought of the day since then he had the feeling that woman held animosity against him, or at least did not want to talk to him. He had barely seen her in the last few days, every time he would think he had found her she would vanish to elsewhere, it was like a very strenuous game of hide in seek and one of the players refused to be caught. It was rather unfortunate other than the fact that he refused to help her fight against the dog man, she was interesting to interact with. For how old she claimed to be and how much he had seen he was sure there were many stories between them that they could share together, not to mention she was a great combatant to fight against. Even though they're duel ended in a tie he was not dissatisfied with the outcome; the fight had been a fair one and both had put their full into it, so there was no need to be saddened by it, rather he was happy that such an opportunity had happened to him.
The nearby screeching of rubber on asphalt echoed through his dream state as Anri stirred awake, as he slowly opened his eyes to the bright sun above him. Placing his hand over his he provided shelter to his light sensitive eyes, he had been basking in the later morning sun for hours as he could feel his plates were nice and toasty to his touch. Groaning he sat up from his laying position as he glanced around the roof top too see if anyone was around other than him, seeing that no one else was he yelled as he began to rub the sleep from his still beady eyes. Reaching into the bandolier that hung over his chest he yanked out the small silver flask that he always carried with him, the shiny material reflected the dim light of the sun as if tried to break through the thick cloud cover. Screwing the lid off he shook the container lightly as he listened to liquid inside of the metal container slosh around in its insides, frowning at the sound he took a small swig of the substance. Already it was about half empty which was a bad sign for him, he was going to need to acquire more of the brew before the month was up; the trip was such a hassle that he always put it off until the last possible second.
Hearing a door slam from below caught his attention as the faint memory of the screeching tires came back to him, it must have belong to the same vehicle that had awoken him from his slumber. Popping the cap back onto the container Anri pushed himself up using his hands, wincing slightly from a shooting pain in his right hand he looked down to see the resent wound he had taken with his fight with Jenn, he had almost forgotten he had substantiated such a wound but it was what allowed him to be able to finish their fight. Rubbing his injured hand with the he ran his finger across the stitching he had done himself, having done such work before he had quite a talent for patching wounds up. The cut would heal in a few days’ time but the burn he had substantiated during the fight wasn't something that would fade so quickly, he didn't mind the scars though, it wasn't as though anyone would really see his palms anyway. Shaking his attention back to what was going on down in the courtyard he saw a well classed man as he approached towards the castle, such a approach was either very brave of the person or idiotic. Anri hadn't really decided on which one yet, maybe both, but regardless of his choice the man looked rather lost, leaping off from atop of the castle roof he fell down towards the ground below.
Landing with an enormous thud the earth shook under his weight as his mass alone was enough to make a small crater around him as he impacted the ground. Off in the surrounding court yard a few statues that had been replaced since Jenn and his fight fell off their pedestals; smashing into the ground they shattered into thousands of pieces causing a dust of particles to fog the area. Kneeling down with his arm covering his head Anri stood up from his crouched position, standing back at his full height he looked over the man as he tried to size him up, doing so he kept any emotion from showing on his plated face.
"Think you might have the wrong place buddy, Kemuri doesn't like outsiders walking around his palace." He noted as he called out to the man with his thick alien accent.

“MY LORD!!!! THERE A MAN IS AT THE FRONT GATES!” The bafoon yelled loudly into Kemuri King of Earth’s ear. The hyena man pinched the bridge of his nose and began to count down backwards from one hundred.
“Jeffrey.” The king said between clenched teeth. “Jeffery, how many times do I have to tell you, if you scream in my ear I’ll kill you?”
“WELL THIS IS THE THIRD TI--” Kemuri dragged his finger across his throat and two hulking guards dragged Jeffrey away to wherever it was they took people Kemuri did that to, he wasn’t exactly sure.
Another, more competent guard, had watched the whole exchange and bravely approached the king afterwards. Kemuri looked at him and sincerely thought about killing the man simply for daring to step forwards, but he simply grunted and waved the man to say his piece.
“What he was trying to say my lord, is that a car has pulled up at a very rapid pace and has parked. A man with impeccable style then stepped from the car.” The king tapped his chin as he listened to the report. Was this another potential ally? Perhaps it was one of Buraddori’s old supporters attempting to make peace with the new King of Earth. “And where are my men?” He asked the man, inquiring about the location of the blue one, the hobo, and Anri. For the first two the man could not answer, as he hadn’t seen them. Anri on the other hand had very conspicuously made an entrance that the man had seen on a security feed on the way to the throne room.
“Anri is ‘greeting’ the man my lord. I know not where the other two are. How should we proceed?”
“Bring the man to me. I am always interesting in meeting another being with impeccable taste. And the more pieces for the board the better.” The soldier saluted and ran off to interrupt whatever Anri was planning to run and bring the newcomer to the king.

Approaching the castle Rosen began to relax he was finally in his own element here. Looking around it was clear Capsul Corp, UNITY, nor Admin Inc. had managed to beat him and get a representative over to Kemuri yet.
“Perfect.” he looks over at Mercy as a way of thanks, it was all the acknowledgment she deserved, after all she merely did her job, it was his orders and planning that led to his now certain victory over his rivals. As he passed the entrance he noticed a woman sitting and staring.
Interesting Kemuri appeared to allow his concubines to just lounge around. The man was one for flaunting his women, interesting. Still beautiful as she was she should know better than to stare at her betters. He almost dismissed the girl from his thoughts but then she really should be shown properly.
“Girl.” acknowledging her existence in word only not bothering to look over. “Bring my coat inside as I will be meeting with your master shortly.” and with the same air of confidence he tossed his jacket in the girls direction. If she knew what was good for her she would catch it. That coat cost him more zeni than she probably made in a month, if it hit the ground due to her incompetence there would be hell to pay.
Still he didn’t bother to look over at her as that would give her the chance to retort, instead he just continued to walk past never slowing down his pace. That didn’t last long however as a giant of a...creature? Alien, a giant alien landed immediately in front of him blocking his path and creating a crater in the spot he had fallen to. It had to be an alien, but it was unlike any alien he’d ever encountered before. He knew aliens came in millions of different shapes and sizes, however this one startled him, his appearance so radically different from anything he’d encountered before.
Keeping his expression neutral Rosen stopped and examined the new comer. Could this be the Kemuri whom he’d heard so little about? The man certainly looked intimidating enough to challenge Kami and the Fuhrer.
"Think you might have the wrong place buddy, Kemuri doesn't like outsiders walking around his palace."
Ahhh so this wasn’t Kemuri, that must make this the muscle. He pondered for a moment whether it was worth responding to the creature. Luckily enough that question was soon made mute by the arrival of yet another guard, this one more normal looking than the guard dog left outside.
It took him a moment to catch his breathe apparently having sprinted here. “Sir...Kemuri...he’d like to see you inside the palace.” the man said to him. Wonderful, if the best Kemuri could afford was a freak guard dog, and soldiers who get tired just delivering messages the man himself must either be a titan or maybe Rosen had made a mistake choosing to ally himself with the new king. Either way he was committed for the moment. Brushing past the alien who had attempted to threaten him Rosen pauses for a moment.
“A good guard dog learns his master’s wishes before he barks. Now, sit, stay.” and with that he continued walking eager to see what the palace and Kemuri held in store.

Jenn was almsot impressed, without actually having heard the man utter a word and with just body language and the way he walked within the moment it took him to draw closer to the entrance Jenn found him almost exactly as irritating as Kemuri, certainly the hyena had a lot of things over the new guy what with the imprisoning of Kaladar the taking over of Earth and the enslavement of herself but somehow the man managed to pull of giving off the same vibe that Kemuri did, this of course placed the man ratehr squarely in Jenns list of people she disliked and assuming despite his well kept appearance and weak power he WAS here to fight for Kemuri she'd probably have ended up doing exactly as she had with Kemuri himself, a game of general avoidance.
But then the fool had gone and made her MAD, he'd briefly glance in her direction and had it not been for what came next Jenn would have been hard pressed to tell if the man had even noticed her with how he almost seemed to look through her but as he passed her position he'd done something so astonishingly foolish that Jenn once again found herself slightly impressed, never before with something so mundane had someone managed to so thoroughly offend her. Much to the stranger's annoyance Jenn WOULD let the coat clatter to the ground making literally no effort to grab for it, she would however stand after it fell taking a few steps closer in order to retrieve it. And as she did so the stranger was met with none other than one of the people she had spent quite a bit of time trying to avoid.
Anri. It was tough not to let out an amused chuckle over his entrance and how yet again he managed to destroy multiple statues, why it was that anyone even bothered replacing them at this point was beyond her comprehension, Anri halted the mans advance informing him that Kemuri wasn't likely to enjoy strangers wandering the palace and Jenn would have likely accepted that Anri had become in some ways Kemuris right hand if only because he spent so much time around the bastard. But surprisingly enough not long after Anri's claim a guard bolted out of the castle and over to them claiming that Kemuri DID want to see the man to which the stranger began to proceed around Anri
having picked the likely VERY expensive coat and given it a quick once over Jenn had known exacly what to do with the garment, taking a few slightly longer strides forward just enough to put the stranger juuuust outside of range Jenn held up the very very nice coat, one she had already commited the feel and style to memory for future use Jenn took in a breath and unleashed a wave of fire from her mouth consuming the coat utterly within seconds, it was very well tailored but FAR from defensible the flames would rush forward past the coat and right up on the strangers back just close enough for the flames to snap at him but not enough to actually harm him, Anri would likely be within the range of the flames but the power put into this attack would pose him little to no threat at all and likely he would even be aware enough to avoid it if he chose to do so.
"You should be careful how you treat people, you can never be too sure if you will anger the wrong person." She said and if the stranger did turn to face her he would be greeted with a smile as the ashes of his very expensive coat were blown away in the wind.

Anri stood in front of the man blocking is access to the palace in which the dog man resided in, his appearance was one of a man with great wealth but at this point Anri gave little care to such a thing. At the moment it was Kemuri was paying for his use so he really wasn't looking for other employment opportunities and even if he was the amount of arrogance that surround the man was enough to choke a person. Taking notice that the man had not turn tail and run home yet Anri was about to pick him from the collar and toss him over the wall but a guard came running up from behind him, panting and huffing as he tried to regain his breath. Spouting out that Kemuri wished to see the man Anri backed off a few steps away, if the dog man wanted too see him then far be it him to stop him. However it was the additional unneeded words from the mans mouth that caused Anri to pause in his tracks and stare down the man, as puffs of steam expelled from his backside. There weren't much things that people could say to piss him off but the tiny man had found the right button and idiotically pressed it.
Thick waves of steam would expel out Anri's back as the thought of what he could do too the man began to boil inside of his mind. Kemuri wanted him which meant he had too keep the sob of a man alive but that didn't mean he could rough him up a little bit, there was plenty of things a person could do to make others suffer without the need to make them bleed an ounce of blood. Boggling his mind of ideas, they ranged from everything to burning the man with steam from his body too just giving him a hard smack too the face... but that's when a better idea popped into his head. It was one thing to hurt someone but it was another to hurt their pride and dignity, those wounds lasted much longer than anything physical someone could do.
As the man tried to make his way past Anri he would slid his arm out just at neck level of the man, clip wiring his neck as he did so, such force would send him falling to the ground with a crash. The movement of his arm was much faster than that of which the man would be able to perceive at his level, looking more like a blur of light until he would collide into it. It wasn't just the strength differences between the two of them that made this possible but the fact that Rosen didn't seem like a man who had ever fought with his own hands a day in his life, hiring people like Anri too do the work for him while he sat back and watched from a far. He would be surprised if he even knew how to form a fist in the first place, even more if he could actually hit someone without crying home to his mother.
A smile spread across his face he looked over in time too see Jenn walking over with the jacket the man had thrown towards her, just from the look her in eyes alone he could see the discontent that flooded them, it looked as though the man wasn't winning friends from the either of them. Holding out the jacket high in front of her she spewed out a torrent of flames from her mouth which enveloped the expensive jacket, the fire was something Anri was all to familiar with but the heat that came off of it didn't seem nearly as hot as during their spar. Rather than moving out of the way of the flames he let them brush over his body as he looked down at the man with a smile on his face.
"Now you've pissed two people off. I'd be really FUCKING careful with Kemuri otherwise we get to take you out back and have some fun with your rag doll body." He told them man in a very calm voice as a smile spread across his face, all the while little licks of fire brushed over him as he remained unfazed by them.
Backing away from the man he would let him get back on to his feet if he chose to, but he couldn't imagine the man would take what had just happened to him laying down. Anri really hoped he would try something though, he really hoped he would, it had been a few days since his fight with Jenn and even though he his hand was still injured he wanted someone to fight, anyone, even the weakling that stood before him. Looking over towards Jenn's direction he would try his best to make contact with her and give her a small smile, but if she glanced away he would shrug his shoulders he turn his attention back to the man.
"Oh right two little things." He cleared his throat.
"You talk to me that way again, I WILL RIP OUT YOUR SKULL and BEAT YOU TOO DEATH WITH IT. Secondly, that's a woman not a FUCKING servant, treat her as such." He growled at the last part, steam shooting out of his mouth at the man.
"Trust me, if you think I'm bad, you really, I mean really don't want her on your ass." Anri laughed pouring smoke from his mouth.
Jenn had be keeping her distance from him ever since they had left off on a sour note, after their spar. He understood why that was, she had thought he was a person that could have been convinced that he should fight against the dog but Anri had turned her down. It felt things tense with her but Anri didn't feel any thing negative towards her, live and let die. In reality of the matter Jenn was the only person on this world that he held any interest in, interesting to talk too and she packed a great punch, there was a hope that they would patch things up but the way she had been avoiding him it didn't seem like it.
Now that he was out of the way from the man he had all the room he would need to stand up, if he chose too that was, some people when they where knocked down in such a manner where stunned to act for a while, and with added burning effect of his belongings it might have gone over the top but if your going to do something over do, it adds to the effect of it making it all the more wonderful than in the first place.

Rosen was reluctant to admit when he was wrong but the concubine looked to be more than she first appeared. He noticed this around the time he smelt his expensive suit jacket burn to a crisp. A moment later he felt the heat from the fire warm the back of his neck, not enough to burn or even singe him but the message was clear. Turning to fully face the woman he had so misjudged he was met with a smile eerily similar to his own.
“How ladylike.” he said though he had to admit he was more than moderately impressed and he didn’t bother to keep the admiration from his voice or his face.
"You should be careful how you treat people, you can never be too sure if you will anger the wrong person." She said as the remains of his coat blew off into the courtyard.
He intended to continue on into the palace on past the giant however the beast had other plans in mind. His arm moved faster than Rosen’s eyes could follow, the alien clotheslined Rosen squarely in the throat, sending him sprawling to the ground.
Decades since anyone had dared to physically assaulted Rosen, it wasn’t that people wouldn’t like to but he had carefully developed a reputation to prevent such things, if anyone were foolish enough to make a move against him everything they had would be taken from them. The last man who tried had watched while Rosen had murdered his daughter before he let the man go.
The moron even went to the police with his story, it was in all the papers. The police came investigated and of course found no evidence there was ever a murder there. They went to the man’s house and they found no evidence that he had ever had a daughter either, instead the man was found mentally deranged and potentially dangerous and Rosen was kind enough to put him in a Rosen Corp mental ward, free of charge, where his employee’s took excellent care of the man.
His story ensured that no one anymore came at Rosen this openly in years. Until the two creatures in front of him. Not one physical threat in a decade and then two in a matter of seconds. He couldn’t help it as he rose back to his feet he laughed. This didn’t seem to sit too well with the alien in front of him.
"Oh right two little things. You talk to me that way again, I WILL RIP OUT YOUR SKULL and BEAT YOU TOO DEATH WITH IT. Secondly, that's a woman not a FUCKING servant, treat her as such." He growled at the last part, steam shooting out of his mouth at the Rosen. "Trust me, if you think I'm bad, you really, I mean really don't want her on your ass."
Before he fully rose to his feet Mercy was at his side with a new suit jacket and a new hand wipe. Looking down Rosen noticed his hands were once again dirty. It was unacceptable for a man of his position to get his own hands dirty like this, and with that thought he smiled.
Throwing the wipe on the ground again, as he put on the new suit jacket Rosen looked up at the odd pair that stood in front of him.
“It appears I misjudged both of you. Ying and yang, you two compliment each other very well. The woman made her own threats perfectly and as a connoisseur of threats it was very well done. Subtlety it would seem is not as necessary for you however.” he said looking at the statues that crumbled upon the beats entrance. “It seems there may be more opportunities around me than I had originally thought.” and then he did something Rosen rarely did. He gestured for the pair to take the lead.
“If you’d be so kind would you come with me to speak to Kemuri, I have an offer that might intrigue you both as well. The palace is nice enough I suppose but there is a whole universe to explore and untold wealth to be gained if you have the ability to see it.” he had to admit part of the reason he wanted them to go first was he didn’t know how to find Kemuri and it was clear the pair knew exactly where the new king was. But also he held nothing but contempt for the guard who couldn’t even fulfill his own duties without getting winded. But as he spoke a plan started to form in his mind. There was more to wealth than just money and there was more to his offer than he would ever say out loud, if the two had the ability to see Rosen was offering them the opportunity to work for him. To rise in power and wealth with freedoms they would never experience anywhere else.
And if he could convince these two all he’d need to do was convince Kemuri he could part with his two pets. That brought another smile to Rosen’s face. Then again Rosen always had a knack for taking others toys.

Jenn smirked ever so slightly as the flames did there job, approaching just close enough to the man to bite at his back but without causing any harm, just enough to draw his attention. She found herself slightly impressed with how well the man managed to keep his calm in the face of danger even if she had no intention of admitting or even showing such. Perhaps in some way the man had almost expected something bad to happen to his coat and had really just been pushing to see where his boundary's lay around here and oh my oh my did he find rather quickly how little space he had to work with, Jenn had been content to leave her threat as it was show the man that acting in such a manner would lead to very bad things...
Anri however was far less content with threats and almost as a way of proving her statement he lashed out at the man and before he even had a chance to precieve the attack he was on the ground and for a brief moment Jenn thought she saw the mans face slip into something akin to shock, the way the man acted he was certainly a man with a significant amount of power, not combat power of course but something like political power or perhaps he was simple a powerful merchant of some sort he was certainly used to people treating him like a king by the way he acted, if there had been a look of shock on his face however it was gone quickly replaced by a rather surprising look of amusement and even a laugh.. That of course had been ANOTHER mistake and Anri quickly grabbed hold of him and began shouting his threats over what he would do if he treated him or herself in such a manner again.
Jenn wasn't much sure what to do with the situation in regards to Anri, it was rather clear that unlike herself he held no animosity over the end of there fight, a part of Jenn very much did want to let it go and truthfully it was probably better to do so, there was even a chance that if they continued interacting and training together that she COULD convince him to break away from Kemuri or at the very least begin to entertain the possibility. All she really needed was to sow some seeds of doubt into his mind, she didn't WANT him to have to fight almost as much for his own sake as for the sake of the forces of Earth. Anri was a man who would kill and if he killed them then they would be just as willing to do the same to take him down and as much as she'd contemplated taking the Vennors life herself she didn't really like the idea.
Jenn found herself surprised again as the man returned to is feet and now appeared to be doing a bit of backpedaling, evidently the show of power from the both of them had been enough to impress him, his likening of them to each others yin and yang actually felt surprisingly appropriate all things considered. She didn't much like where things were going now as there was clearly some sort of plan behind why he wanted herself and Anri present when he went to meet with Kemuri. She would look to Anri see what he thought first, she was certain that regardless of the man wanting him there or not he would have gone considering how often he was at Kemuri's side.

Anri watched as he waited to see what the man might try and to to the either of them, with his higher class demeanor he doubted that the man would try to lash out too them, usually in some verbal sense as most people of such high class didn't do their own dirty work, rather they used their wealth to fight for them, Anri knew this as a fact as he was the one that carried out such dirty jobs. Twas the life of his line of work though, he and done his fair share of dirty work in the past, he was used to being around such people, they lacked the backbone to take out their own targets so they hired a brute of a giant like himself to do it form them. Money talked talked with people like them, it was the driving force behind the classy, clean world of the business and political industry.
The man's response was something that he hadn't been expecting as instead of trying to call them out on their actions instead he slowly raised back on to his feet and complained the two, even going as far as too call them Yin and Yang, though Anri didn't understand the saying he nodded his head at the man's words as he watched the man's assistant bring him a new coat since his previous one had been so nicely taken care of by Jenn, and a cloth of some sorts. Wiping his hands with the cloth he cast it aside like a piece of trash, and put the new jacket one his self, which begged the question in Anri's mind why he had even taken the first one off to being with. The question was quickly removed from his thoughts as the man spoke once again to the two of them asking if they would guide him to the throne room to meet with Kemuri in person.
Glancing up and towards Jenn the two made eye contact, it was something that hadn't happened often since their little disagreement those few days ago. He had a questionable look on his face as he wasn't really quite sure what to think at the moment, it was strange how the man really wanted the two of them there when they spoke to the dog-man. He could tell from the look on her face that she was thinking along the same lines as he was almost as if through some telepathic means. Shrugging his shoulders Anri turned and headed towards the castles main entrance, his heavy foot steps beating against the walkway as he went. He had no fear in turning his back on the man as it seemed that he had no really intention of attacking either of them, most likely Jenn would take up the rear and follow behind the man as they walked to the throng room.

The interesting trio entered the throne room to a bored and relaxing Kemuri. The lord of all of the Earth was slumped over the back of his chair, his finger strumming along lazily to the tune of music that was clearly only playing in his head. How long had he waited for the group to arrive since the servant had come to inform him? Of course he had watched the whole exchange occur between the three, but he was going to let that be unless they decided to bring it up. Kemuri yawned as they approached him, batting his mouth with his hand.
“Welcome.” He said with just as much joy as he could muster. He sat up in his throne and offered them his attention.
“What is it I can do for you this day Mr. Rosen? I have heard of you of course. How is it that the new king of Earth can be of service to you? Surely you should have found no interruption of your business I should hope, we’ve left much of the economic structure of the previous establishment the same.”
Rosen was the only one in the room that currently deserved his attention. He had no orders for Jenn or Anri and wasn’t sure why the two remained in the room but didn’t care enough to dismiss them. But Rosen… Rosen had money. Not more that Kemuri had as king of Earth of course, but money was power. Rosen’s money, if he so chose, could lead to trouble for Kemuri. Unless they were on the same page. Then Kemuri could make use of Rosen, and his money.
The king sat with a smile on his face, waiting for the businessman to speak.

Rosen walked into the throne room once again immaculate. His suit was new and pressed, he walked in as if he owned everything he saw. The people surrounding him were more his honor guard then people taking a captive to see a man in every sense capable of killing him without lifting a finger of his own.
Kemuri was a king, but Rosen was a leader. He knew how to lead by example and the first thing he learned was to never show weakness in front of a predator. And make no mistake, that is what Kemuri truly was, a predator. Not because he was part wolf, a fact Rosen didn’t know before he got his first glimpse of the man, but because he waited, saw his opportunity, and seized it.
However it appeared that while Rosen looked at this as a new and wonderful opprotunity the new king didn’t see it the same way as he failed to cover up his yawn. *ooc the author just yawned 3 times trying to write that last sentence damn it.* “Welcome.” the new king said barely sitting up on his throne.
“What is it I can do for you this day Mr. Rosen? I have heard of you of course. How is it that the new king of Earth can be of service to you? Surely you should have found no interruption of your business I should hope, we’ve left much of the economic structure of the previous establishment the same.”
“Oh no my king.” he said trying to make it a point to show he believed Kemuri to be the new true ruler of Earth. “Business is booming as always. Instead I’ve come to here today to talk to you about new opportunities. One must always be moving forward. I had originally come to talk to you about an alliance just between you and Rosen Corp however on the way in here I had the opportunity to talk to both of your employees here.” he said gesturing to Anri and Jenn, “And it strikes me these two compliment each other quite well. If it meets with your approval your highness I’d like to borrow these two and have them do some work for Rosen Corp. There are always people that need...persuasion that Rosen is really the best option and I feel like this pair would be excellent negotiators.”
He never looked back at Jenn or Anri to see what their opinions on this would be. Kemuri was the one in charge here and his eyes never left the new king.
“It would of course only be a loan, they would still be under your employ but it would be a loan that could be profitable for all parties involved.” he finished with a genuine smile.

Jenn was about as unsure about why it was that Rosen wanted them to join him to meet with Kemuri as Kemuri likely was, they had more or less silently walked the halls of the castle together and thankfully the procession had been a short one as Kemuri awaited them in the throne room sitting high upon his throne idly tapping his fingers he barely even glanced at herself or Anri as they all entered the room his complete focus upon Rosen, clearly Kemuri was quite interested in the man though to what end exactly she was unsure he was certainly lacking in the strength department so it felt unlikely that he would be fighting against the forces of Earth. From Kemuri's words however she picked up that her earlier estimation of Rosen being a big-scale tradesmen was likely correct as he made reference to having left earths economic structure untouched, well at least for the time being he had. Perhaps that was why Rosen was here? To make sure that his business was seen as on Kemuri's side?
Rosen began to speak up, he claimed that everything was fine financially, and confirmed himself a business man, one leading a business known as 'Rosen Corp' the name causing Jenn to roll her eyes though she felt unsurprising by it. The reason he had come today however was originally to forge an alliance between his business and Kemuri likely a rather smart move considering the nature of Kemuri's ascension to the throne, he was clearly a man willing to take what he wanted and making sure that the next thing he took was not your business or your money was an intelligent choice regardless of the fact that it meant allying with Kemuri especially if none within the business had a power capable of standing against Kemuri or even those in his 'employ' such as Anri or unfortunately herself.
This however still failed to explain why she and Anri were here... until Rosen revealed that he had had a slight change of mind on the specifics of the alliance. Now he didn't just want alliance he wanted to have herself and Anri come and work for him at least for a time. The intention was clear he wanted them as a sort of 'muscle' for his own ends after they had both displayed power far beyond his own. Jenn could not help but roll her eyes at the idea, it seemed unlikely that Kemuri would agree... at least for the moment at least with herself in mind, there was no telling exactly when the forces of Earth would come knocking and it was doubtful that Kemuri would like the idea of having any of them gone before the 'war' was won. Afterward however assuming Kemuri was victorious... there was a possibility he would allow it, Anri was a free agent and only for the time being in the employ of Kemuri, if he wanted he could go work for Rosen NOW. As for herself well that was unfortunately up to Kemuri.
