Alexander has taken to a small area of the lookout where he could train on his own for a little bit, wanting to expand his technique a bit. Especially since it was a bit harder to land his War Strike on an opponent that had a similar power level to his own. That or Popo was just that much better at dodging attacks than he figured, but that was why he was taking the time now to evolve his technique. To do that, he would need to have some quiet so that he could concentrate on developing his abilities. Focusing on his War Strike ability, his muscles bringing out the fullest extent of their powers and as he struck forward the air burst launched forward, but it was still not quite right. It only shot forward in the direction of his fist, and it was easy to dodge, that meant it needed to be restricted to a certain range.
If he was going to do that, then the range he set would be close to mid range for the technique, focusing on that he began to construct an idea for the his new ability. Channeling Ki through his arm, he gathered the physical force of his muscles and concentrated it into his energy, letting it take shape. From his arm came a dragon-shaped creation, one that looked almost identical to the dragon that he could summon to devour attacks. It was a bit annoying to see, but he supposed it was the only thing that he had with him right now to give life to his new power. Still, just the head surrounding his arm wouldn't do any good, but he did like the way it formed, this would be the start up for this power.
Concentrating his mind fully on the situation, he threw his fist forward and imagined that it was his own arm extending out to strike the enemy. Instead of his arm, however, the energy from his arm took form and reached out to the tile that he had imagined as his opponent. The Ki took on the form of a dragon's body as well, before smashing down onto the tile with its fang's bared. The result was that he could now control the power of his War Strike enough to extend it that far, but he needed to know if it still retained the same power as before as well. If not, then this technique would essentially be useless to him, and that wasn't something that he could afford on the battlefield. So to truly test it, he would need to unleash the attack in a way that he could tell just how powerful it was and he had only one way to do that.
Focusing once more he threw his fist forward and the dragon of Ki launched forward and slithered around through the air, before turning around and aiming straight for Alexander once more. When it collided with him, he flew backwards from the impact, coughing violently from the strike, and he was certain that it was still just as powerful as the original version. Laying back where he landed, he was going to need another few minutes before he even decided to try getting up. With this though, he was a step closer to having a much more viable fighting style, he had close range locked up, he had mid range pretty well settled, the only thing left was to work on some long range abilities. Once that was done, he would be able to fight in a multitude of situations without too much worry as to his ability to deal with attacks or attack himself.
[Technique:
War Strike Evolved: Taking the original idea of War Strike, he then added Ki into the mix, creating something that packs the same power, but has more range and is harder to evade. The Ki takes the form of a Dragon, not one of those tame ones with two eyes, and whiskers on their face. This one has five eyes, large and jagged teeth, and a much more terrifying presence than any other dragon. The technique starts by forming a dragon head on his hand, and then when Alexander punches, the rest of it flies from his fist to snap the enemy and smash them into whatever is closest.]
