Continued from: dragonballawakening.proboards.com/thread/671/day-family-akassa-leke?page=2--- The walls exploded all around the thirteen-year-old prince. His ears rang in shock and life seemed to slow down as rubble and dust flew all about him, and bodies poured into the room in seemingly endless numbers. Leke blinked once and life came to full-speed. He furrowed his eyebrows and gritted his teeth as he held his arms out beside him and released both energy blasts into the areas to his sides. Nothing strong enough to kill, but it would either distract or definitely harm the soldiers. Even with his sensing abilities, he still could not detect anything from these guys. It was something Leke had never experienced before - ever since he had been taught how to sense, he had been able to feel a signature from anybody. This was completely new to him, and he wanted to get to the bottom of it. The youngest Hattori sibling then spun about, going into full-out attack mode now. He would not play defense; his training didn't tell him to do that. A Saiyan never fought to stay alive, they fought to win. Though he had killed before, the bloodlust did not come to him now. Despite his instincts, his ruthless Saiyan blood boiling, the prince knew that he was fighting his own countrymen. No matter what had happened to them, he could not kill them. Not if he didn't know for 100% sure they couldn't be saved. They looked as if they didn't have control of themselves. If the bounds could be broken on them, then Leke would feel terrible knowing he had killed a Saiyan that did not mean to impose harm on him, his sister, and this newcomer fighting with them. He swung two wild fists about, knocking the two closest soldiers away from him far into the surrounding rubble, then sprang forward to deliver a kick to the chest of another zombie-like soldier. They did not appear too powerful to him, but he was one of two princes of Saiyans. He was supposed to be strong; though his half-sister did far outclass him. Even the guy they had just met Nasu, he was holding his own as well. It was clear to him now though that he did not have a tail, something he didn't really notice or care for before now. Leke would think to ask him about it another time, when this was all over. No need pissing off the guy that warned them of danger and was now helping to defend the crown - though that was his job as a Saiyan. Leke fought off several more soldiers, trying to deliver hard knocks to their heads or near suffocating them to render them unconscious. It seemed that their numbers had thinned heavily from just the three of them fighting the soldiers. It was clear to the young Hattori that both Nasu and Akassa had the same idea as him, not killing or maiming the troops but just knocking them out was the plan. He smiled, knowing now he had made the smart choice, and delivered a hard elbow into the chest of another approaching soldier, knocking the wind out of him. He looked back to see the soldier on the ground, eyes glazed over. Their skin looked weird to him now that he had the chance to notice, too. Things seemed attached to the soldiers, but Akassa seemed not worried about them. Finishing off the last of his group of soldiers, Leke quickly skipped ahead to catch up to Akassa. She had long since finished her share of the soldiers and was already advancing deeper into the compound. Nasu would quickly be behind the prince. Noting what his half-sister had said, Leke had to nod and reply in the same. "Yeah. I don't like the looks of this at all. Nothing is what it should be like. We need to get to the bottom of this and fast, before those guys wake up." Leke followed Akassa, as she knew where she was going, as the elder here. Leke had not hung around Akassa much but he was glad to spend some time with her today, even if it was a weird day and they could very well be fighting for their lives very soon. Any time was better than none, the younger sibling thought.

It was a good to know there were supposed to be way less soldiers here than there were. No, not good. Terrible, yes terrible that was the word Nasu was looking for. He had no idea how many people were trying to kill him, he had no way of sensing when they were coming, and he had no idea if his family would be joining the list of people who attempted to kill him by the end of the day?
So much for the great idea of following his sister on her day in town…
Nasu ducked a mindless soldiers punch before grabbing his wrist and using it to slam him face first into the ground
Still he saw her take the lead and a wave of relief shot through him. She either trusted him enough to cover her back or felt he was so weak that he would be absolutely no threat to her. Both of these scenarios worked out well for him, one she trusted him and yay family bonding. Two damn that must mean his sister was way stronger than he originally thought.
He took a moment to look over and Leke had joined up with Kass going deeper into the dark scary tunnel. "Yeah. I don't like the looks of this at all. Nothing is what it should be like. We need to get to the bottom of this and fast, before those guys wake up." Leke said.
“Or we could all leave now? Blow this place to hell from the outside and go get ice cream? Maybe talk share a few laughs about the time the walls just exploded out with people trying to kill us?...” Akassa and Leke continued to walk forward into the dark, scary, full of undead soldiers, underground base…”Fine, but I’m not doing this in the dark.” with that Nasu drew energy to his right hand and held it above his head. It might make him an easy target but he was uncomfortable, he could sense something deep below them wasn’t right but he couldn’t sense what it was or how strong? Also it gave the group light, and he was totally doing something to help his family. Win.

As Leke and Nasu dealt with their share of the strange soldiers Akassa moved farther down the hall, not even glancing back. It was not for lack of caring what happened to Leke or the other male, but based on the signature she had read from the both of them she knew they could handle themselves. Besides, in most cases it was an insult to assist a Saiyan warrior unless he or she requested it. Several times in the past the Princess had found herself in a troublesome situation during a mission, but never had she requested the assistance of those that had been accompanying her. Wisely they had also hung back, most knowing the female well enough to know that assisting her without any request, unless her life was moments from ending, would result in a thrashing. A proud fighter, Akassa was never afraid to move forward and that was the very reason she strolled right down the hall, not too concerned with what was behind all this. Whatever it was…she would take care of it.
Before she had even made it all the way down the hallway she heard Leke running up behind her, a second set of footsteps that must have been Nasu quickly joining in. Glancing to the numbers on her scouter the Princess confirms her assumption, still not looking back to her companions. Akassa does nod in agreement with Leke’s words though, pleased to see that the younger Hattori is prepared to continue on as well. Her brother was young, barely into his teenage years, yet he was turning out to be quite the soldier for someone of his age. Already he was larger and stronger than Akassa had been at the point in her life, heck he was larger than she was now. She was glad she had asked him to come along today; she would see how he handled himself in the field.
Nasu on the other hand, came across as rather unprofessional, his jokes and antics not appreciated by the Princess. As his light lit up the tunnel ahead of them Akassa saw the closed doorway at the end of the hall, the heavy looking door appearing to be sealed shut. Making her way down the hall she grabs the handle and shoves, not putting too much power into it so she could test if it had been in fact sealed. When the door doesn’t budge she snorts some. The way this complex was designed was that the door could only be sealed from below, a safety precaution so that it could be locked down should an intruder make his way this far…apparently it had not worked. Then again, perhaps the intruder had started in the lower part of the structure.
Taking a step back Akassa’s right leg kicks at the door, the power of her full strength more than enough to buckle the thick, reinforced steel. A second kick sent the door into the hallway beyond as it is ripped clear off its hinges. Standing there for a moment she squints her eyes a little as she tries to make out any movement ahead of them, Nasu’s Ki based light not doing the best lighting job, but it was enough. She saw nothing except that the end of the hall dipped with a staircase, descending into darkness.
”Come, we need to go lower. This door only locks from below so someone must have sealed it…” After the short statement the Princess proceeds, again assuming the two males would follow her.

Leke gave a sidways glare at Nasu as he made a joke about blowing the place up. The stranger was lucky that the prince and princess knew he was joking, or else he'd been severely reprimanded for uttering such sacrilege. Blowing up a military base? There had to be a good reason, and the three of them were plenty powerful to face whatever was responsible for this... Zombie-like infestation of the soldiers here.
The prince nodded to Akassa as she noted that they had to go down further, Leke coming to the same conclusion. They were lucky to not have met any more of those soldiers; hopefully that would keep up for the foreseeable future. There had to be some kind of explanation. Hopefully, it was a sane and fixable one. Something told Leke, however, that it probably wouldn't be so. Leke stepped tentatively behind his half-sister, leaving Nasu to bring up the rear of the line. The three would reach the end of the hall soon, and from there, descend the staircase into the darkness...

Nasu held up the energy in his hand illuminating the linoleum flooring of the military base and not much else. It was bright enough to see the glares his unknowing family gave him however, apparently they weren’t in the mood for jokes. But H.F.I.L in situations like this you can eaither make jokes or go insane! Clearly he wasn’t connecting to Leke and Kass the way he had their older brother. It was a shame but at least one member of the family was mildly fond of him.
Looking ahead Nasu could see the hallway was blocked by something but it took a few steps forward to recognize that it was a metal door. Apparently Her Royal Highness recognized the layout however as she tentatively tested it and confirmed it was locked. Nasu could sense she had more than enough power to knock down the base let alone the door so she had to have been testing for something. Hell besides Leke next to him, she was the only other thing Nasu could sense. He still had no idea how the men had been masking their power levels so completely.
With a pair of kicks Akassa had the door safely out of their way and the path down was once again free.
”Come, we need to go lower. This door only locks from below so someone must have sealed it…” Kass said looking back making it clear she was talking to the pair of them. Nasu knew that neither one of them really appreciated his humor but his mouth went off before he could think to stop it.
“Some one...or some thing!” he said with a small smile. One way or another he’d get someone in the pair to laugh damn it!
Still looking up he could see the hall with the stairs at the end, they didn’t need another door in front of them the darkness was a wall of it’s own. You could see nothing beyond the ki light he was giving off which wasn’t much.
Looking to the sides of the hallway he could see rooms on either side that might have been barracks or armories. Hoping not to be surrounded again he checked the first door on his right only to find it was unlocked and swung open. Nasu had expected the horror movie creek from the door but it swung open soundlessly the door disappearing into the blackness again and serving to disturb him all the more.
Taking a deep breath he pushed it further open and stepped in slowly not thinking to check if his siblings were behind him. He could make out the outlines of bunk beds, one on each wall. He had been right about it being a barrack, still it was too dark he couldn’t make out if anyone was in the beds themselves.
He still couldn’t sense anything so rather than step closer to the beds and risk having something jump him from behind he tried to put slightly more power into his hand, into the light hoping to make it bright enough to see.
Instead he put just a touch too much energy into it and the light became a very tiny ki blast that shot up and hit the ceiling of the room with a thump. Instantly the room became pitch black as the light he had been holding had been fired off.
Silently berating himself for his idiocy he raised his hand and again brought energy to it, this time making sure to keep the light low and the ki under control just enough to provide the light. As soon as his hand lit up Nasu saw four sets of eyes staring back at him.One from each of the beds. They instantly honed in on him as well as he was now standing in the center of the only light source.
Before he could even think to move all four let off a high pitched shriek. He could hear it echo down the hall way, down the stairs, and again through the rest of the facility.
There was a moment of silence where Nasu waited, listened, and prayed to the kai’s above that there wasn’t a response. Slowly out in the darkness however Nasu heard an answering screech, followed by multiple screeches. Seconds later there was a massive screech easily ten times as loud as the others combined, Nasu reached up to cover his ears only to find that their was a thin trail of blood coming from both of them. Before the screech had even died away he heard the sound of drums beating slowly deep, deep below his feet.
Never taking his eyes off the four pairs of eyes staring back at him he drew energy to his right hand leaving his left holding up the light above him knowing would be hard to fight off all four of them with only one arm still it would be impossible to fight them in the pitch black with them not giving off any energy signature….
“Well,” he said under his breath as the drum beat kept it’s steady pace still well below them. “fuck.”

If that is what the boy thought might amuse her, he knew little of the Princess of New Vegeta.
No sooner had she taken a step towards the stairwell then did the light from behind her disappear. Right foot hovering above the first step she looks back over her shoulder. Behind her she could faintly make out the outline of her younger, but similarly sized brother. While Akassa was almost a full decade older and leagues stronger than him, the youngest Hattori child had a more imposing figure than she. Being full Saiyan his build was what you would expect of the tailed race. At the age of thirteen he was more built than most human males would be in their lifetimes, the royal blood line flowing strong in the full blooded Saiyan. While Akassa was stronger than all of her brothers, she didn’t not have an impressive build like them, her human half having kept the amount of muscle she developed toned down as she grew stronger. To one not able to read energy signatures her slim frame would look weak, the farthest thing from the truth.
Back down the hall she saw what little of the light from Nasu’s Ki reached out into the hallway from the room he had entered. Why was it, the strange boy could not stay focused on the task at hand for longer than a moment? The difference between the two Hattori and the commoner was glaringly obvious, those of common blood so often fickle in comparison to those of the royal line. Eyes glancing to Leke they actually roll, a rare expression from the Princess before she calls out to the third member of their party.
”Nasu, what…” Akassa’s words became inaudible as a small blast could be heard from the room, not enough to do much damage, but enough to drowned out her voice. As subtle as the sound was it quickly set up a strange collection of noises. First came screeching noises from the very room that Nasu had entered, the high pitched cries traveling down the hallway and beyond. Cringing some at the sound the Princess clenches her teeth as more answer from below, followed by an even louder one. The first two sets had been hard on the ears, but this one was downright painful. Clenching her teeth some Akassa groans slightly as the loud sound rises from somewhere down below, the warmth of blood evident in her ears. Stronger than the other two, Akassa’s hearing was no less sensitive; perhaps even more so with her heightened senses.
What had the fool done now?
As the calls disappeared the Princess heard a new sound, felt it rather as the resonating sound of drums rippled through the air. Hissing in frustration at how the troublesome boys antics had agitated whatever it was that had taken up residence in the barracks, and also destroyed all hopes of surprising their foe.
”Leke, make sure the fool is alright. I will go on ahead, you two catch up with me as soon as you are able.” Although it sounded like an order, and her brother technically outranking her, she only assumed the role since this had been her mission in the first place. As long as Leke had no objections she would turn and head down the stairs.
Descending into darkness Akassa trusted her brother to secure the safety of Nasu and soon the two would be joining her. Stepping down Akassa raised her own hand to summon a globe of Ki to light the way. Normally she would not need the light as much, the glowing orb guiding her, but also giving away her approach to anything or anyone that might be waiting for her. The scouter that she had was all but useless so far; the strange creatures the guards of this barracks had become no longer detectable by the device. Perhaps in the future she might take some time to master the technique of sensing Ki naturally, and then such foes would not be able to hide from her.
Reaching the second to last step of the stairwell she is hit by another one of those piercing shrieks. Matching the loudest of the sounds from before, the wall of sound that slams into her almost felt tangible, the Princess staggering as the screech echoes off the walls. Wincing as pain once again spiked through the sides of her head she presses her free hand to the wall for support. Slowly opening her eyes as she dealt with the pain Akassa saw the numerous sets of eyes glaring back at her.

Leke, nearest to Nasu when he accidentally lit off the ki blast, jumped when he heard it fire. He narrowed his eyes at the stranger, not verbally scolding him but letting him know he had messed up. However, when the shrieks began, Leke would simply retaliate with sheer force. He had little sight in here, but what little he saw were lights. He took a quick glance up, mentally retracing his steps through the base and from what he knew of the schematics of the place. Apparently satisfied, Leke lifted up his arms to the sky and grinned before firing off a beam of energy that lifted off into the sky, blasting a thin but long hole through the outpost. No structural damage would be done; the repairs would be pretty minor, considering what they were already doing to it now with the zombie bodies.
Light flooded into the room, illuminating the immediate area near the narrow strip of rays coming in. The shrieks grew ever increasingly, causing his head to throb in pain, but Leke had been conditioned for so much pain in his short life from Akassa to Ninjin to Tsuyo, so he stood his ground. He would then lower his arms to the guards around him, slowly approaching, and fire off two ki blasts - strong enough to knock them back, but definitely not killshots, sending the pair skidding back in tumbled heaps.
In the chaos, he had not even noticed Akassa's words or absense. Sneaking a peek back, he saw that she was gone, and Nasu's signature was in the room he had been in before. He could handle himself. Probably.

Nasu could sense his sister as things went to HFIL all around him….and she was walking away…
“What the hell Akassa.” he mumbled under his breath as he tried to cope with...anything under ten he couldn’t really qualify as a horde, hmmm...a pack? That seemed more fitting. As he tried to deal with the pack of soldiers who at the moment had him slightly surrounded.
He could sense his brother near by but he couldn’t sense if he was outnumbered as well only noted that he wasn’t rushing to his aid. He must be dealing with his own issues. Then Leke did something utterly unexpected. And completely genius, he launched a controlled energy wave through the ceiling of the barracks letting in clouds and clouds of dust, that Nasu proceeded to quickly inhale like a moron. Through his coughing fit however he also noticed that there was now a beam of light coming in through the roof.
Maybe not enough to see posters hanging on the wall. But certainly more than his puny ki light was giving off. And definitely enough to fight by.
“Smart!” he shouted to his unknowing brother. Not bothering to keep his voice down any longer. Really the element of surprise was pretty much gone at this point.
With that he let off two more blasts into the ceiling letting in a few more streams of light and showing 2 men still in front of him. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in one upraised arms and looking over he saw a female soldier had her jaw locked around his bicep, while at the same time delivering a blow directly to his stomach sending him back a step.
“Did you bite me!” he shouted out as his other arm smashed into her face hopefully only knocking her out.
“I don’t normally hit women if I can avoid it, but that’s just rude!” he felt something tickle the back of his neck and he brushed it away without a second thought, as he faced the two men still in front of him. He heard a small splat behind him but decided instead to believe his brother could handle himself and charge forward.
In a matter of seconds the two men were unconscious in front of him. He had been careful not to kill them, assuming they weren’t alreadyy dead. For the first time he got a good look in the light at the passed out men. They each had a small purple leach like creature on the back of their necks.
“The hell?!” he said quietly leaning in to look closer. A moment later his face went pale and he spun around his ki light back in his hand. Looking around on the floor he didn’t see anything, but as his eyes travelled he saw what he was looking for. Climbing up the wall the light shone on a small blue leach, as soon as the light hit it, the creature froze. Without a sound it jumped at Nasu moving quicker than he ever would have expected.
Luckily Nasu’s gut reaction of disgust, horror and shock saved him as he flinched back, not at all letting out a scream that would be far too high pitched for a man of his age. His reaction however caused the creature to land on his shirt instead of his face. This didn’t deter it however as it began rapidly moving up towards his neck, again his instincts saved him though. And like any bug that landed on him Nasu swatted it, with the hand holding the small ki blast. While the blast singed Nasu slightly it as he slammed it into himself was enough to kill the creature as it sizzled and fell to the ground dead.
It was only then he put together that his family had no idea and these fuckers moved fast. He had to warn them, especially before they were turned. A soldier he could stop, saiyan royalty not so much…
“Leke, Akassa! Be careful they leach onto your necks!” he shouted. Not exactly the best warning but all he could think of on a moments notice till he had a chance to explain.

The eyes that peered at her from the darkness numbered in the dozens. Intimidation was not a word Akassa understood, or at least something she chose not to succumb to. Despite the ringing in her ears from the debilitating shrieks the Princess rolls her shoulders as she shoves off the wall. The strange sound based attacks were no doubt designed to make these creatures targets easy prey, but she assumed they had never dealt with someone of her caliber before. Pushing the dizziness aside she lunges forward into the darkness, no hesitation as she wades into the thick of her enemies.
Immediately she could feel bodies around her, reaching in for her on all sides. Preferring close combat had no qualms about taking the hits that came her way for every couple of weak blows she took Akassa leveled one of the hidden creatures. With so many around her she had no need of Ki sensing abilities, all she had to do was listen and swing. Fist after fist struck the former soldiers, the Princess still striking to put them down, her strength borderline on what they could take before dying. Luckily, whatever it was that had taken control of them had also made them slightly more resistant or the number of bodies on the floor would have been corpses.
In the fray, as more and more soldiers attempted to get at their former general, Akassa was unaware of the small creature clinging to the ceiling above her. Whatever was controlling these soldiers had seen how confident and forward she had been to this point, learning as it observed through the eyes of its minions. As she continued to smack away the soldiers with ease the small creature lets go of the pipe it clung to, dropping onto the Princess’ neck. Feeling the sudden warmth she spins and backhands the soldier behind her, thinking the sensation the result of attack from behind. With a smirk still on her face she finishes off the rest of the group, leaving a circle of unconscious soldiers around her. Standing up straight she moves to take a step forward when a sudden waive of nausea hits her.
”Uhhh…what the…” Another wave hits her, but along with it a stronger wave of dizziness. Blinking she shakes her head in an attempt to clear it, getting more light headed by the minute. Eyes suddenly fluttering the Princess drops to a knee as the small creature unknowingly attached to her neck attacks her mind. A third and more powerful wave of dizziness shoots through her, dropping her to the floor. With a groan she attempts to stand, but finds her body won’t respond. Slowly her eyelids grow heavy, darkness crowding her vision as they do. Unable to resist and unaware where this was generating from Akassa slumps to the floor, losing consciousness as she does.
Half a minute later her eyes snap open, a familiar glow resonating from them as she does. Unlike before she could see in the darkness that enveloped her and unlike before her goal was no longer to search for whatever entity resided in the base, but to take care of the intruders. Hearing voices and movement up the stairs she had just come down the Princess rises to her feet. Starting up the stairs her pace was controlled and steady, the creature on her neck still getting used to the power of its new host. Ascending the staircase her pace gradually quickened, the strange creature ready to test out its new body against the pair of intruders that remained above. With this type of power it would no longer have to hide inside the barracks, the majority of New Vegeta was within its grasp.

OOC: Agreed upon that because we don't really remember what PL we were originally at in this thread, assuming that the PL of Leke + Nasu are roughly equal with Akassa. I think I was a bit below 80% of her, and Nasu was at 4990. He'd had been <65% of her. In reality, I believe we were slightly over, but its not important enough to bother researching. This is purely background and filler anyways.
--
Leke would only hear the yell of "Smart!" and the sounds of chaos from the room Nasu was in. The truth of the matter was, he cared little of what happened in that room. Of course, he wanted Nasu to survive because he was a Saiyan and a citizen of New Vegeta, but the mission was to find out what was going on here. Nasu was technically expendable. He'd proved himself only a bit useful so far, warning them of there being no power signatures, providing some light and giving Leke the idea of blasting the ceiling open, and giving ample assistance in fighting off the "zombie" soldiers. In fact, maybe he did matter more than Leke liked to think. In a long time, after the tournament, Leke would come to realise just how much of an ass he was showing himself to be and regret some thoughts and feelings.
The prince had his own problems to attend to, though. A horde of soldiers assembled in a circle around him, just piling up to try and take him out. At least, that's what Leke thought. Of course, he couldn't possibly understand the intentions of such "lifeless and mindless" beings, controlled by the leeches he knew nothing of. One by one, Leke would strike them down, giving the back of his gloved fist to one and a spinning kick to another before launching himself at a trio approaching side-by-side. Though he could take them on, and easily disposed of them after a quick flurry of punches and kicks, he did not notice one leaping onto his back. He was partially immobilized until he realized how much more power he had than these soldiers. He literally ripped the soldier away from him by tossing his weight forward and grasping at the guy and pushing him away, then followed that up with a quick blast of ki to send the zombie scattered away from him. He still was having to resort to non-lethal techniques, knowing full well that these were Saiyan soldiers. Something was just controlling them somehow, and was hiding their powers. No normal soldier was on par with even the youngest prince of Saiyans, he believed.
Having cut a swath through the ranks of the zombies, Leke had another moment to take in his surroundings. He could hear Nasu shout out something about leeching onto necks, presumably talking about the soldiers. That made sense to the prince. Whatever was on their necks, which he now could see clearly to be some sort of black blob, was doing something to these soldiers. He couldn’t let them get close. That one got on his back… He couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to be a zombie like these. His people would be in danger if they got his strength, not to mention Akassa’s.
As soon as he thought of his elder half-sister, her power immediately went from full to none. He had sensed death before, and this was nothing even close. Power slowly faded, it did not immediately disappear. No, something almost as bad happened to her. He suspected that he had fallen victim to the leeches; she had been too far away from Nasu to hear his warning. Damnit, he muttered, knowing full well he would have a difficult time trying to fight his sister. He would at least have Nasu’s help, but then, his sister would have these zombies at her side.
”Nasu!” he roared out, sensing his power and then barreling towards him through several walls. Once inside the same room, he would check to see if Akassa was already there and knock some heads together with these zombie soldiers. He would have to clear the room if he wanted any chance to taking on Akassa with Nasu.
”You can sense, right? Something happened to Akassa. I think they got her somehow. She went downstairs alone, so maybe one got the jump on her. I’ll need your help, Nasu,” he spoke firmly to the barely-elder Nasu. His voice was full of command, as he should as the most powerful in this case and as the prince. He even technically out-ranked Akassa despite their power difference. Though what kind of help, Leke didn’t specify. He would hope that it was just as simple as taking off the leech to get rid of the control; he didn’t have the time to get a soldier and peel off the leech and wait. More were coming.
”Clear the room until she gets to us!” he would yell before charging up a ki blast and firing it at an oncoming guard, then charging ahead to take out two more with both arms extended in a closeline. Short beatdowns would follow to knock them out. The prince only hoped that they would be able to keep Akassa occupied long enough to be able to get the leech off, if that would help. Hope was all he had at this point. They were shooting darts in the dark at this point, this mysterious turn of events was just getting weirder by the minute. They didn’t teach this crap in his military training.

He was surrounded. It wasn't exactly a huge issue now that he could see the threats surrounding him, but it took him a second to realize how close to death he had come. Unable to see, unable to sense a single knife thrust could have ended him.
...This is what happens every time i try and help out fam-
"NASU!" he heard his brother shout from off in the distance cutting off his train of thought. While distracted one of the soldiers got the drop on him landing a solid right hook across his face and sending him staggering. A moment later his brother came bursting through the wall of the barrack looking panicked.
”You can sense, right? Something happened to Akassa. I think they got her somehow. She went downstairs alone, so maybe one got the jump on her. I’ll need your help, Nasu,” he said and instantly Nasu's face went pale. He extended his senses whispering a quiet prayer to the kia's above but as usual his prayers went unanswered, he could no longer sense his sister's energy.
He looked at his brother seriously for a moment seeing them surrounded.
"Leke these men might be soldiers but Kass is..." he paused for a second almost saying family before catching himself. "the princess. We gotta take the kid gloves off if we want to help her." These men weren't their real enemies, they were only pawns being manipulated but still..."If we spend the time to knock them out instead of kill them we might not have time to save her." Nasu said real panic in his voice.
He put his back to his brother facing the men around them still surrounding them, still outnumbering them. And now his sister, more powerful than both Leke and Nasu combined had joined their ranks....
I knew we should have blown this place up from orbit...
