Finding herself once again following Alexandria though the forests outside of Central City. It had been while since just the two of them had just hung out with each other. Alexandria was running ahead picking every different colored flower that she could find. Once she had to many to carry she would run back to Azazel, passing them along, then leaving to go get some more. Alexandria wanted to give them to the elderly couple that she had been staying with, while Azazel was away looking for Silitha. Finally getting to a clearing, Azazel watched as Alexandria ran after some butterflies. Azazel decided to lean against the tree to her left, gently placing the flowers to her right.
Running over to Azazel with more flowers in her hands “Azazel are we done walking? Cause I think we should keep going, there are bound to be more flowers out there for me to get.” Alexandria said breaking the stem of one of the flowers, placing it in Azazel’s hair.
“This seems like a good area to rest for a little while Alexandria, I am sure there are enough flowers here that you don’t have yet..”
Alexandria gave Azazel a big smile as she was placing the flowers on top of the others. She wasn’t there for long, as she continued to run though the field, stopping to pick more flowers for her home. Azazel looked around making sure that there wasn’t anyone watching Alexandria. She knew that there were still people looking for her and the fact that no one has tried to take her made Azazel nervous to have Alexandria in the open. That is when Azazel heard footsteps coming from behind her. Immediately she engulfed her right hand in fire, shot up from the ground, and turned to face the direction of the steps.
“That girl is going to keep me out here for hours. It looks like she doesn’t ever want to leave this place and I cant say that I blame her. It has been a long time since we have done something like this. I wish I could make all her troubles go away and perhaps some day I will.” Azazel said to herself, making sure to keep an eye on Alexandria.
Upon turning around there was a male and a female standing behind her, scared out of there minds. Immediately the fire surrounding her hand would disappear and Alexandria would run over to Azazel grabbing onto the back of her dress.
“Who are you two? Also what is it exactly that you want with us?” Azazel said to the two figures
“We didn’t mean to bother you miss, we just wanted to see if you were alright. You were sitting against the tree and we didn’t know if you were hurt. That is all we were doing, we didn’t mean to get you upset, I am sorry.” the male said
“We also had no idea that you had a child with you. Otherwise we would have approached in a different manner.” As Alexandria popped her head from behind Azazel the women began to smile and seemed to look excited. “Alexandria is that you? You remember me don’t you? It hasn’t been that long since the last time we saw each other has it?” The women said looking at the small child
Azazel looked at Alexandria in confusion, she had never interacted with this women before and as far as she knew Alexandria hadn’t either. But when Alexandria came completely out from behind Azazel, she instantly ran at the women.
“Migan! I can’t believe I didn’t remember you!” Alexandria screamed as Migan picked her up. The two embraced like they hadn’t seen each other in years, when in truth it had only been a couple of days.
“So then you must be Azazel, my grandmother has told me and my husband here a lot about you and this little one. We visit there a few times a week and always play with Alexandria. You haven’t ever been there when we are, but we have heard a lot about you from Alexandria.”
Azazel was relieved that these two weren’t after Alexandria for malicious intent. They had run into people on Omega that had done the same thing these two had. In that incident all they were after was Alexandria. “I am sorry that I haven’t met you at your grandma’s house. I have been looking for someone and I leave Alexandria there. They take good care of her and I am glad to hear that others are doing the same. There aren’t many people out there that would help a child.” Azazel said as she began to sit back down against the tree
“That is true Azazel, it is sad but true. I wish more people would offer help to those that need it. It just seems like everyone is looking out for themselves nowadays. It’s a shame.” Kiiro said looking off into the distance.
The man and women joined Azazel and Alexandria. Azazel found out the females name was Migan and the males name was Kiiro and that they were married. The group talked for a long time before a group began to walk across the meadow in their direction. Azazel was the first to notice the group of men making their way over. Immediately standing up she took a few steps in front of the group, telling Alexandria to stay next to Migan.
“It took us a while to find you Alexandria, but I am afraid you are going to have to come with us.” One said as he took a few steps toward Azazel.
“She isn’t going to go anywhere. I don’t know who you are, but I suggest that you leave right now. ” Azazel said as he hands were once again engulfed in flames.
“Azazel we will make sure Alexandria is safe. I think it would be best if you handled them. I will protect Migan and Alexandria until you are finished.” Kiiro said pulling a knife out, taking a stance in front of Migan and Alexandria.
“You must be that bitch that stopped us from getting Alexandria back on Omega. Well this time we are going to take the child from you and you aren’t going to stop us.” The man said
The man looked back nodding his head, the two men that were directly behind him began to walk at Azazel. Both pulled out electric batons, the man on the left was the first to strike. His speed was impressive as the baton slammed into Azazel’s side. A slight shock went through her body. The two began beating on Azazel, but she wasn’t moving. As the shocks began to intensify, that is when she grabbed both of their wrists. With enough force she slammed the two of them into each other, the batons dropping to the ground. As the two men fell to the ground, Azazel stepped in between them. With one quick motion her fists came down straight into their chests. Gasping for air, Azazel brought both fists down again, this time striking them in the throat, causing both men to pass out.
She was now even closer to him, but all he was doing was smiling at her. Her weights were slowing down her movements some, but wearing them for so long now the slowed movement has almost gone unnoticed. The man waved his hands forward, and more people began coming out of the woods. Different races, sizes and genders came out of the woods rushing at Azazel. As the massive group ran at her, Azazel charged head first into them. Several minutes would pass, during this time more and more thugs would find themselves on the ground writhing in pain. Some with broken bones, some with multiple, either way she made sure each and every one wasn’t going to get back to their feet.
The leader raised his hands in the air and who ever was left standing backed away from Azazel. Her breathing was heavy and her body was covered in cuts and bruises. The group had done their work, they were only a mere distraction as the real threat emerged from the woods. A look of shock came to Azazel’s face as the hulking mass emerged from the woods. It was the same man that her and Iishavoh has fought back on Omega. The hole in his chest was covered by metal plating, she had no idea what they did to him, but whatever they did it wasn’t good.
“You remember me Little One? It has been a while, but I know this time is going to end differently than the last.” the large man said smiling at Azazel
“You see Azazel, I told you that Alexandria was going to be coming with us. You may have beaten this man once before, but I highly doubt you are going to be able to do it again. This time you are alone. We have made him stronger and faster than before.” The leader said crossing his arms
Whipping some blood away from the corner of her mouth “ I am not going to let you take Alexandria from me. I beat this scum once before and I promise you that I will do it again. It doesn’t matter what you have done for this man. The outcome is going to be the same regardless. ” Azazel said as she let out a scream. Her deep red horns penetrated through her forehead. Her black aura flared and a few thugs that were right behind her were knocked back.
Azazel was done messing around with these men, she didn’t care what they needed Alexandria for. All she knew was that they weren’t going to get her. Dropping her head her eyes lay on the giant man from before. The two charged at each other. The giant man swung is left arm in an arc. Just before contact Azazel jumped into the air delivering an enziguri to the mans head. The giant man tumbled to the side, but remained on his feet to Azazel’s surprise. The man was quick to counter as his fist came slamming into Azazel. Ripping up flowers and dirt as she dug through the ground, eventually coming to a stop. Slowly getting back to her feet, breathing became harder.
Clutching her right side she could tell that her ribs were badly bruised and one more hit like that would break them. She had little time to rest as the giant man was charging at her. Quickly thinking, Azazel materializes a dagger in her hand. Just before there was a collision the dagger would be thrown and Azazel would roll out of the way manifesting another as she got to her feet. Instantly throwing the second dagger, watching as it sunk its way into the mans left thing. A scream would erupt from the mans mouth as he pulled the dagger from his side. Crimson red blood began running down his leg, but he was still on his feet.
“God dammit! How much can this man take, I don’t think Azazel will be able to go on for much longer. That massive group of thugs really did a number on her before this.”
“Have faith Kiiro, Azazel can handle herself. She isn’t going to let them get to Alexandria as long as she still stands. If she does fall, then it is up to us to keep Alexandria safe from them.” Migan said looking down at Alexandria
Alexandria hadn’t taken her eyes off Azazel since the fight started. Even when Kiiro and Migan were talking about her. Her eyes followed Azazel’s every movement, never missing a beat. Migan tried several times to get her attention, but she was ignored each and every time.
“Just give up bitch, you can’t beat me.”
“Shut your mouth….
Azazel was unable to finish her sentence as his fist slammed into her gut. Coughing up blood as she was launched into the air from the force of the attack. The giant man had covered the distance between them in a short time. No one there saw him until he was right next to Azazel. Plummeting down to the ground she would be grabbed out of the air. The man tossed her up, waited a second before punting her across the meadow. Slamming into the ground, coughing up more blood Azazel would somehow slowly get back to her feet.
“We have to get her out of there, she is going to get killed if she keeps on fighting. Migan you can clearly see what I am seeing. We need to leave now!” Kiiro said
“I don’t think that Alexandria is going to leave as long as Azazel is still standing. So we have to wait until the right moment before we leave.” Migan explained
Whipping blood from her mouth Azazel remained on her feet, besided the pain that was coursing through her body. Her legs were wobbly, but she was able to keep enough weight on them to stand up. Once again the larger gentlemen was charging at her, but this time he would be surrounded by Lunar Flare. Those would be the last words he would hear as he ran into the darkness, unable to see anything.
“You made a mistake coming in here, you are in my territory now you waste of life. I told you that you weren’t going to take Alexandria, you should have listened to me. You shouldn’t have come here today, because you aren’t going to be leaving.” Azazel said making sure to continuously move as she talked.
She watched as the big man was looking every direction, trying to find Azazel. No matter where he looked, he wasn’t going to be able to find her. Manifesting two daggers in her hands, they would quickly be thrown at the large man. One sunk deep into the mans left forearm, while the other bounced off his metal chest. The man spun to his left, throwing a right hook, but hitting nothing. He would pull the dagger out and toss it to the ground. Blood began running down his arm as he cursed Azazel. Yelling that he was going to find her, that no matter where she hid that he was going to find her.
“What the hell did she just do, Alexandria I think that is Azazel telling us that we ought to get out of here. We need to make sure you are safe or everything that she is fighting for will be for noting.”
“NO!” Alexandria yelled, her focus still on Azazel inside the Lunar Flare
Back inside the darkness the giant man was stumbling around trying to get a hold of Azazel. For she was on the other side of the black dome, just watching him. This was her time to rest and try to get some energy back before it started to disappear and he found her again. She could hear Alexadria and Kiiro talking. He was trying to get Alexandria to leave with Migan and him, but she refused. Summoning another dagger in her hand, she ran at the giant man. Trying to keep her footsteps as silent as possible. Behind the man, she would sink the dagger into the back of his right leg. Screaming in pain the man would spin with great speed, smacking Azazel straight out of the dome. Her body, bouncing across the ground would slam into a tree, almost cracking it in half.
As the people in the meadow heard the man scream, they knew Azazel had done something to him, something bad. Azazel slowly looked over at Alexandria, who was now protected by a ki barrier that was being created by Migan. The Leader was just tapping on it, talking to them. She was to far away to hear what he was saying.
“You see Azazel can’t defeat that man, it is only a matter of time before he kills her. If you two just hand over the child now. You will all get to live and we will leave this planet. It is really that simple.” The Leader said tapping on the barrier. “How long do you think you can keep this up?” he asked
“I will remain here as long as Azazel is still standing.” Migan yelled back at the man
Looking over at Azazel, then back to the group. “She doesn’t appear to be standing now.” The man said laughing
Azazel knew that there was only one more trick that she had that might work against him. Before Lunar flare began to dissipate, Azazel began charging and launching several obsidian black ki balls into the darkness. Slowly the darkness biome would begin to disappear around the large individual, but Azazel would continue to launch orbs into it. When the Flare was finally gone, the man would find himself surrounded by black orbs and Azazel standing off in the distance. She could see him begging to show signs of getting tired, he had lost a lot of blood and it was still seeping from the wounds.
With a wave of her hands the orbs began to spin faster and faster around the man, eventually spearing as they were straight lines of ki. A smile came across Azazel’s face, this was something that she figured out that she could do a few weeks ago. This was the first time she had actually used it against another person. She had only attempted this against boulders in the mountains, away from people.
“Hellzone Grenade!” Azazel yelled, once again swiping her hand. Except this time all the orbs went straight for the man, exploding on impact.
Soon everyone there was engulfed in a giant cloud of dirt and dust. It would be several minutes before everything settled down and they would see if Azazel’s attack was successful on the larger individual. Breathing heavily, Azazel dropped to a knee. She could hear Kiiro yelling for her to get out of here. She knew better than that, she knew that if this man wasn’t defeated. That he was going to keep coming after Alexandria and wouldn’t leave her alone until they had her.
Slowly rising to her feet “Migan, get Alexandria out of here right now. She is going to resist, but you have to take her and run as fast as you can. She is not safe here. So please do this for me.” Azazel said looking at Migan
A look of confusion came across Migan’s face, but she understood Azazel’s request. Dropping the barrier, she grabbed Alexandria. The moment her arms wrapped around her, Alexandria began to scream. Azazel knew that was going to happen, but she also needed to get Alexandria away from here in case this turned for the worse. Azazel didn’t knof if she was going to be able to beat this man.
She watched as Migan ran back into the woods, Kiiro not too far behind her. He stayed a little longer to stop the leader from following them. Unfortunately for the Leader, he now has a knife through his leg. It was Kiiro’s last effort to help, before he disappeared into the woods. Alexandria was now safe, she was in good hands. Letting out a sigh of relief Azazel dropped to a knee once again. Her body was beaten, her bones were weak, her energy almost depleted. The fight was not over, the leader was still alive, still breathing. Slowly she made her way over to him.
He was now up against a tree, holding onto the knife that was protruding from his leg. Even as Azazel got closer, all he was doing was laughing. Her rage grew as the mans laughing got louder and louder.
Grabbing the man by the throat, lifting him up “Why are you laughing so damn much. You have lost. Alexandria has escaped your clutches again. You are never going to find her now. You are never going to take her away from here.” Azazel said to the Leader
“She may have gotten away this time because of you. That will not happen again. You see, you aren’t going to be leaving here today alive.” The leader said pointing behind Azazel
Turning her head, the dust had settled behind her. The large man was still standing. The damage had been done, his body was burned and weakened, but it wasn’t enough to take him out. Letting the Leader go, he slumped back against the tree, laughing as he slid back to the ground.
Azazel turned to face the gigantic man. He was still standing after everything that Azazel threw at him. She dropped to a knee, she didn’t know what she had to do. The leader began to laugh as he slowly rose from the ground.
“You see Azazel, we made him better this time. I told you that you weren’t going to be able to beat him. Nothing you can do will stop him. Once he has finished with you, we are going to find Alexandria and take her back to where she belongs.” The Leader said
“You…aren’t…..going….to…..touch…her.” Azazel said standing back up.
As the giant man took another step towards Azazel, her eyes snapped back at him. Her anger building, the black aura whipping around her. Causing rocks, branches and dust to whip around her, she had enough of their games. Enough of the two of them going after Alexandria. It was time to end this, but before she could do anything, the giant man fell to the ground. Walking over to the large gentlemen, she felt him grab onto her left leg.
“This isn’t over…” the man said but before he could finish speaking, Azazel ripped her leg from his grasp. Bringing her left leg back she snapped it forward, slamming it into the larger man’s temple.
It was at this moment that the fight was truly over, both parties involved had taken serious damage, but it was Azazel who was still standing. Looking back for the other gentlemen, he was no where to be seen. At that moment Azazel decided to go find Alexandria, Migan and Kiiro.
-Ten to Fifteen minutes later-
Azazel finally found the three of them a mile or so away from where the fighting was taking place. She could hear Alexandria crying, saying that she wanted to go back and find Azazel. She saw Migan holding onto the child, pleading with her to stay put, that Azazel was going to find them. At that moment Azazel made her presence known and Migan let go of Alexandria. The small child charged at Azazel, but stopped before making contact.
“Azazel are you alright? Are those two men taken care of? Please just tell me that everything is going to be alright.” the red eyed child pleaded
“Everything is going to be fine Alexandria, they aren’t going to be bothering you anymore. So you can calm down. As for my condition, I am going to be fine as well. It will take some time for my wounds to heal, but I will be back to normal soon enough.” Azazel explained, placing a hand on the child’s head
“Are you sure everything is going to be alright Azazel? I don’t think that guy is just going to give up that easily. I don’t know what happened after we left you and I don’t want to know. I just don’t see that man giving up his search for Alexandria.” Kiiro asked
“You are right Kiiro, I don’t think that man is going to give up searching for Alexandria. But now he knows that as long as I am around, there is no way he is going to get his hands on her. That is the second time they have tried to take her away from me and both times now they have failed. No one is going to take her away from me.” Azazel said to Kiiro
Azazel wasn’t any closer to finding out the reason why that man wanted to take Alexandria. Every time Azazel has tried to talk to Alexandria about it, she ignores her. One day she was going to find out why they were after her. It seemed that she was going to have to wait a little longer before getting the answer to that question.
Walking over to the group Migan took Kiiro’s hand “Well it doesn’t matter now, Azazel was able to stop them from getting to Alex and that is all that matters. I suggest we get out of this forest and head back home so Azazel can rest.” Migan said to the group
Everyone looked at each other and decided that was the right thing to do. So all four of them began to make their way back to the city. Back to the elderly couple’s house, Azazel was carrying Alexandria despite her body being in pain. Where Azazel knew she was going to get talked to by the old women that lived there. She could already hear her voice in her head scolding her.
Whispering to Azazel “You didn’t kill them did you Azazel? I know that would make everything easier for ys, but I don’t want to see you as a killer.” Alexandria asked
“No, Alexandria I didn’t kill them. I knocked out the big man out and the other one got away. So I am sure he will be back at some point Alexandria, but if he comes back I will make sure he doesn’t get away.” Azazel whispered back to Alexandria
“I figured that they were going to come back for me. I am just glad that you are here to stop them.” Alexandria said with a big smile on her face.
Azazel tightened her grip on Alexandria, there wasn’t any person in the world that was going to take her away. Azazel knew she was going to have to rest, there was no telling when that man as going to return and try to take Alexandria.
