Akassa and Toa stood side by side in a vast sea of red grass. The almost endless expanse of small, but sharp blades went on as far as the eyes could see. Luckily Saiyan military boots were durable footwear, their soles reinforced so that they could withstand multiple environments and countless hours of combat. This construction protected the two warriors from the jagged edges of the grass below, the only noticeable difference from walking on the grass of New Vegeta was the slight crunch heard with each step. Every time either of them took a step their boots sank into the dirt, the amplified gravity of this fictional planet making each footfall heavier. Above them the sky was a mixture of purples and yellows, the two pallets swirling together as the air shifted far above them. To any from the known planets of the galaxy this was a foreign world, one not charted and never before visited.
Sadly it was a realm that Akassa, no matter her powerful, could not claim for her people. Even if she were to ascend beyond any being before her or that might come after her this world was out of her reach for it only existed in the depths of her simulator. Resolute, the blunt and extremely efficient AI installed into her training machine had created the world for the Queen and her General. At Akassa’s instruction it had created a planet for them to train on, something that would test them both in terms of power and compatibility. If Toa was to be one of her most trust she needed to understand and experience exactly how he reacted to multiple situations. Because of this, she had instructed him to train alongside her in her newly enhanced simulator, the machine upgraded to handle someone as powerful as the Queen of the Saiyan people.
In the twisting sky that hung overhead, two suns floated lazily. Neither of them was as bright as the Sun they were both used to, but enough light penetrated the cloudy atmosphere of the planet to light the world in a similar fashion to what one might see at dusk on Earth. To the East was nothing but hills of the bladed grass, the same mirrored in the North and West, but South…South sported a impossibly high tree line of dark foliage. As far away as the forest looked to be the plants that lined is edge seemed more than sufficient to dwarf the two fighters. Akassa knew that was the only direction she sensed power signatures in, hundreds of them all hovering at about 1000. Eyes shifting she looks to Toa, letting him call the shots on this “mission” so that she could understand how his mind worked as well as his body.
”Your Grace, I believe we should head South. Beyond the fact all other directions seem to lead to nothing more but fields my scouter is picking up multiple signatures in that line of trees. Such a cluster of signatures implies some sort of civilized establishment, perhaps a small town or village.” His tone level and confident, the soldier having been told what was expected of him this session so he was not afraid to “call the shots” in terms of the next move.
”Lead on then General.” The Queen’s voice level and controlled as well, some of the commanding tone it usually carried absent as she did not wish to influence his decisions. Letting him take the lead physically she lifts into the air after him, silently following the larger of the duo towards the forest. As they flew her eyes shift to him to look the armored fighter over. His larger and more muscular frame would have any that could not sense energy believing him to be far more powerful than the thin female behind him. Akassa’s body was far from muscular, her human half having limited her from filling out into the typical Saiyan build. She didn’t mind for size was pointless when it did not give you an advantage in a fight. Tsuyo had been a perfect example. The late King had been almost twice her weight and thickness and she had defeated him with relative ease. Remembering the recent and glorious victory Akassa couldn’t prevent a small grin from curling onto her lips.
Onward the two went, heading towards the monstrous tree line. Unlike those that grew on Earth of even New Vegeta, the plants before them were enormous. Looking up she could see large branches protruding from various spots, the limbs themselves far thicker than she was wide. At first she found herself wondering how they had grown so large on this world before she catches herself. Letting out a short chuckle she reminds herself this was all a creation of the simulator, not anything pulled from fact. Sure it was possible such tree existed in the Universe, but it was unclear if she would ever see such a thing. If she did it would be a sight to behold that was for sure. A Queen and warrior, which did not mean she could not appreciate the beauty to be found in nature, she just didn’t have much time for it.
Within the forest was the more important focus, the cluster of signature that resided there. Those individuals, creatures or perhaps even plants were their current goal. Toa believed them the best source of information in their make believe scenario. Having been “stranded” on this planet he was in charge of getting his Queen back home, no matter what he had to do in order to make it so. Ducking and weaving around the massive trees, Akassa remained in Toa’s wake. The signatures ahead of them were lower in strength, right around what an average Saiyan soldier might be. Having no reason to worry, especially since this was a simulation, there was no “real” threat of them dying.
Several more high speed minutes of flight took them much deeper into the thick forest, the sunlight growing more and fainter as the thick canopy began to block it out. Glancing up she could see the countless branches intertwining far overhead, leaves blocking all but a few rays of light. With so little light reaching through to the floor below it basked this part of the forest in a permanent twilight, light enough to see, but dark enough that the shadows seemed to move of their own accord. Not bothered by the darkness she follows Toa with little more than curiosity as to what they might come across, the signatures they had been tracking only moments off at this point.
Rounding another massive tree the pair is forced to come to an abrupt holt as several dozen figures occupy the clearing before them, small huts dotting the area. Far from any race she had ever seen, the pale, black eyes creatures appeared just as shocked to see Toa and Akassa bursting into what was apparently their home. All of them were roughly human size, varying in thickness and height as much as a group of humans might. For a moment they all float or stood in silence, looking each other over as if unsure what to do. It was Toa who broke that silence.
”I am General Toa of New Vegeta, and this is my Queen, Akassa Hattori.” He says with a motion to the female hovering besides him. ”We are sorry to intrude on your…home, but our ship malfunctioned and we were forced to make an emergency landing here. Might you point us in the direction of a place where we might acquire assistance in getting off the planet?” The General knew this was a long shot, as the group looked rather primitive, not really the type to have space pods parked behind the next tree. Still though he had to ask, at least try and see if they were of any help.
As if in response to his words the gathered crowd parts, revealing a trio of slightly larger creatures. While similar in appearance the small group, that had been seated around a small circle of rocks, were of a heavier build, like comparing a Saiyan to a Human in terms of muscle mass. With the rest of the creatures giving them a wide birth it was immediately obvious they were the leaders or ruling members of the tribe. Watching them stroll forward, Akassa also felt their rising signatures, Resolute obviously not wanting this to be easy on the pair of them. Focusing on the challenge before them she looks to Toa to see his reaction. Like her the general knew this was all fake, but he also understood it was a test and should be treated like a real scenario. Honestly, it was quite an engrossing environment, but that is what one paid for with the Simulator 2.0.
”To whom do I…” Was all of the respectfully polite statement that Toa was able to get out before the creatures attacked. Two went for Toa, while the largest of the group lunged for Akassa. In the instant it took for him to reach her the creature’s power signature rockets to match her weighted Super Saiyan form, the machine well aware of the current limits of her power. Hissing some she dashes backwards as she ascends, golden aura bursting to life. With golden hair and tail she blocks his leading strike, a headstrong punch aimed right for the center of her face. Narrowing her eyes at the sudden assault the Queen was already frustrated as she finds herself on the defensive from the very start.
Smaller than her opponent, which was often the case, the Queen ducks as weaves between his punches and only blocks when she needs too? Looking to discover his pattern she bides her time. Another duck and his fist slides over her shoulder brushing along her golden locks. Her arms come up to shove the extended appendage aside and strike, but the hulking fighters other fist was already coming for her chest. Having to abandon the counter attack she blocks the incoming blow. Akassa was starting to figure it out though, dissecting the pattern in his attacks. Soon enough she would…her back hit a tree. Suddenly no longer able to backpedal her mobility is severely limited. Still having her hands she blocks his next to strike, but that left her open as his knee drives up into her stomach. Forced to grunt she felt the air forced from her lungs. Behind her the tree didn’t even creek with the impact, the artificial trees much harder than any tree she had ever discovered.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Several dozen yards away Toa had discovered the exact same thing. Having looked to burst back through a tree to remove himself from the two aliens he was engaging, he had instead driven his shoulder hard into the deceivingly dense plant. Growling he rolls off of it as a fist slams into the spot he had just been against. Although the two he fought were decidedly weaker than the one Akassa was against, he was still sorely pressed. Her power so greatly exceeded his it wasn’t like his assistance to her was of any help as it was. Still…when he finished off these two he would rush to her aid. That was his duty.
Twisting to the side he flies around the tree, pulling close to it so that it would be harder for both creatures to pursue without one having to make a larger circle to do so. After a half rotation around the trunk he makes a sharp right towards the next tree, not wanting to allow one of the aliens to circle back on him. Bobbing and weaving through the forest he starts to pull away from them, his higher power level allowing him the advantage in speed as well. Pushing himself, crimson aura blazing, the General gets far enough ahead that he is hidden by the trees behind him. Ducking behind a large trunk he presses his back to it, feeling for the following fighters with his senses.
They were close, traveling as near each other as they could, but separating occasionally to move around trees. Considering how surprised they had seem when first meeting the Saiyan’s he assumed they could not sense others, hoping to use that to his advantage. Waiting patiently he prays for some luck as well, that he might be lucky enough for them to split while moving around the tree he was currently using for cover.
Luck was on his side. (More realistically the simulator was giving him a break.) The two creatures split around his hiding place. Timing his attack perfectly he lunges out as they pass, tackling the one on the right from the air. Slamming him down into the ground the pair drags across the dirt before the Saiyan lifts back to the air. Grabbing the rags the creature wore for a shirt he pulls him up with him. Looking to the nearest tree he rockets towards it with as much speed as he can muster. Lifting the alien as they drew close the tough soldier took the blows it delivered, his armor absorbing some for him. Quite a solid fighter and stronger than his foe he was able to withstand them until they meet the tree. Heaving with his thick arms he lifts the white humanoid up further, driving him hard against the tree.
Not stopping there he then drives his shoulder into its chest, crushing it between him and the unyielding plant.
A sickening crunch could be heard as the force of the blow partially caves in the things chest, its body going limp. Pulling back he lets the dead creature drop to the ground, sliding down the tree before flopping to its side. Rolling his shoulder some from the hard impact he saw the blood beginning to run from the corner of the alien’s mouth. One down, one to go. As if on cue the other creature’s foot collides with the side of Toa’s head.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sucking a bit of wind from the unforgiving blow, Akassa needed to get the creature to back off. Gathering herself the best she can her hands lifts towards his chest. The Queen winces as she feels him take hold of her thick hair, but she does not alter her plan. Palms to his chest she releases a kinetic blast from both. The alien was sent tumbling away from her, some golden strands still in its hands as it rolled across the dirt. Shaking her head after the uncomfortable pull on her hair she shoves away from the tree. Able to catch her breath for a moment she looks over to see it already rising. Her kinetic abilities didn’t do much for damage against evenly matched foes, but they were incredible effective at getting them away from her. Gritting her teeth at the challenge she launches forward to meet the creature as it finds its feet.
Vaulting across the space between them her fist meets its jawline as it looks up, saliva spraying from its mouth as her fist impacts his cheek. Far from satisfied the Queen throws a hard left followed by a hard right, causing the alien to stumble back under the barrage. With her foe off balanced she stops her advance only long enough to lift her right leg and kick out towards its stomach, slamming the creature back against a tree. ”I am not sure if you understand me, but this is a fight you cannot win.” Akassa advancing again as it rests against the tree. Cracking her neck as she activates her Ha-Ken, she advances, golden energy cascading down her arms as the gauntlets form. With the alien’s arms hanging at her sides she was sure it was still reeling from her strikes.
How wrong she was.
With its deception complete and her now close enough the creature unleashes its attack, but not a punch or kick, a scream. Opening its mouth the strange humanoid lets out a ear rattling scream, visible sound wave rippling towards the half-saiyan. Unlike a normal shout the technique focused energy into the sound waves directed at a specific target. In this case it was Akassa and as the waves hit her, the tree filled world around her begins to spin. Groaning she staggers back, managing to maintain her footing as the sound comes close to bursting her ear drums. Seeing its opponent disorientated it unleashes a second blast, dropping the Queen to her knees.
Stomping forward the alien reaches down for her and although dizzy, she was not defenseless. Reaching up her gauntlet covered hands reach for his, hands interlocking. Groaning Akassa begins to shove up in an attempt to forced herself to her feet. The disorientation she felt and the creatures leverage had her back to a knee in short order though. Gritting her teeth as the larger fighter growled down at her Akassa knew her arms couldn't take much more of this. Starting to temple some she had to think fast or the alien was literally going to be on top of her, a position she did not wish to be in. With both gauntlets restrained by the struggle her two main offensive weapons were useless and down a on a knee she could not kick. Out of head butting range she uses the only appendage left, her tail. In similar fashion to her arms the Queen channels energy down the golden tail, forcing it to take shape. A moment later the end of her tail was not the soft nub it had been before but a six inch Ki blade.
Shifting the best she can on her knee, Akassa stabs upwards with the newly acquired weapon. The small spike of solidified Ki punches right through the monster's forearm bone and all. As it howled and pull that arm back she felt victory drawing close. It quickly retreated though as her larger opponent tightens it's grip on her other hand before starting to turn. With little effort it slams the Queen up against the side of a tree with tremendous force. Despite the plants durability it splintered some under the pressure, or perhaps the cracking sound was that of Akassa's ribs. Let go after impact she drops to the ground, one hand grabbing for her side. Above her the beast lifts both of his, hands clasping together to deliver the final blow to the stunned female.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sent rolling across the ground from the well placed boot Toa saw stars for a moment as his vision tries to refocus while his limbs scramble to find traction. Able to halt his tumbling before hitting a tree the General gets back to his feet, boots sliding across the lead laden ground. No sooner had he gotten his legs beneath him did the alien continue its assault. Leading with a flurry of blows the soldier does his best to defend, more than a few blows slipping past his loose guard. Taking another hit to the jaw Toa growls with aggravation at his sloppyness. Done with this wall of flailing limbs Toa barrels forward, taking more hits as his body shoves the alien back.
Using his bulk to slam.the creature back into a tree Tia grips it's collar, the rags it wore barely having one. With a turn her throws the creature, the pale alien spinning in the air before slamming down onto the ground. Grunting on impact the alien scrambles to all fours before bolting around a tree. Able to sense the humanoid still Toa saw what was trying to so, using the near indestructible tree as cover while it caught its breath. Snorting some the general was about to make his move but stops himself, an idea forming.
Shifting his left foot back into a stance he lowers his leg hand, palm towards the ground as red energy swirls down his arm. Akassa had taught him this technique and would now test it's effectiveness. The energy began to take the shape of a sphere before flattening out parallel with his palm. As more energy flowed into the attack it began to spin, edges growing sharper as it's velocity increases. Grinning he enlarges the attack more to make sure it was sufficient for the task at hand.
With the alien still trying to use the tree for cover Toa had all the time he needed, pouring sufficient energy into the disc. Without a word he throws the Kienzan, not the type to call out his maneuvers before using them. As planned the disc sails right for the tree and enlarges as it makes contact. The durable plant was nothing for the fine edge of the technique and it slices clean through...and right through the alien's midsection. With a winds tend wet gurgle the creature drops to the forest floor. Strangely enough the Saiyan only heard the death, he did not see it as the tall tree does not fall. Instead it drops slightly but then it's neighbors support it, not allowing it to topple. Shrugging as the alien's signature disappears Toa turns to sense for Akassa.
Rushing back the way he had come Toa could sense the Queen, but when he rounded the next massive tree his eyes widen in shock. The larger creature who had targeted the Queen was lifting his arms as Akassa lay on the ground. Spotting the cracked tree close by the General could only imagine how much force the female had been slammed against the tree with. On the ground she looked a bit stunned, starting to push up as the alien prepared it's next strike. With her head down the way it was such a powerful hit to the back of her slender neck had serious potential to injure her. With no regard for his own safety the soldier charges forward. Aura blazing around him Toa puts as much into the rush as he can.
Making just in the knick of time Toa grabs for Akassa's jacket, pulling her out of the way as the hulking creatures fists slam into the ground. Dirt and dead leaves erupt from the point of impact, the shockwave sending the two Saiyans's tumbling. Not able to hold onto her the general rolls by himself. With her lighter body traveling slightly farther than his they land with him positioned between two more powerful fighters.
"Block his view if me...and get him...to charge you." Akassa grumbles from behind him.
Nodding the general hops to his feet, dusting off his armor as if the rescue had been nothing at all. Looking over to the alien he could see it was already furious for its victory being stolen away. Standing up straight Toa puts on the cockiest grin he can as he motions for the beast to come at him. Already hearing the first part of his Queen’s attack behind him he stands his ground. Thankfully these aliens could not sense power well for that might have allowed him to see through the strategy. As the monster charged forward Toa kept a grin on his face, dropping to the ground when his fast closing foe was only several yards away.
"...Flash!" Toa could feel the heat from the golden beam as it traveled above him. If he could feel it's power from just being close he knew the alien was finished. With a howl of pain the blast slams full on into the charging humanoid. For an instant it held against him and then he was gone, body literally disintegrated from the powerful blast. As it went on to burn it's way through the forest he tilts his head back to look at the panting Akassa.
"Impressive Your Grace, as expected. I apologize for inter...." An upraised hand stopped him mid sentence.
"Thank you Toa, let's get moving." While her tone was as serious as expected on a mission she had thanked him. Secretly she was proud of how he had acted. It was a simulation, but he had risked his own lift to protect hers. She expected nothing less from those serving her. Akassa was Queen after all and was to be treated as one. By her generals life or is death, it was her that needed to succeed. Toa was definitely earning his place as her general.
With the male leading them back to the original spot they had met the creatures Toa steps right back into the clearing. While he was dirty and Akassa's hair was a mess the fact they had returned drew shocked expressions from the remaining aliens. Rolling his broad shoulders the General takes the lead once more, his stern eyes look around the assembled crowd.
"Now I will ask one more time. Where is the closest city or civilization? There must be those more advanced than you somewhere on this planet. Do not make me ask a third time." For a moment they all looked at each other as if contemplating what their next step was. Ultimately realizing they had but one choice several start to nod their heads in response.
Toa gives a look as if to say "Well?" and the creatures understood. Turning one of them starts to head into the woods, others gesturing that they follow. Cautiously the two Saiyans pursue, ready if this were to be some sort of trap. For almost a full hour they walk, the creature unable to fly it would seem before they near the edge of the forest. On the other side another vast field of red grass stretched onward, but in the distance what seemed like metal glinted in the bright Sun. Decently sized even at this distance the object had to be massive...hopefully a building. With nothing more than a nod the two Saiyans lift into the air.
"I wonder how we will be received this time."
"Hopefully not with a fist." Both would grin at that for while they were looking for a way of the planet, neither had any qualms about discovering such a method by force.

Technique Learned:
Hane-tsuki tēru(Bladed Tail) - In similar fashion to her Ha-ken, Akassa is able to channel Ki down her tail and shape it into the form of a blade. The weapon is not the best for defensive purposes as her tail is not equivalent to her arm, but it does allow her a fifth deadly appendage.
