The black cube fit perfectly in his hands. Model Zero shifts it in his fingers, under the thrum of the vehicle as it flew towards its destination. He recalled his master’s advice prior to the initiation of his mission. Once he reached his destination, all he had to do was place it on the floor and press on a center switch. The switch was hard to observe from afar, but up close he could see the intricate little lines that outlined the center of the cube. He wasn’t sure what it did, nor was he sure what Ivan had planned for him. As a drone, he needed little reason to do as his master wished. He doesn’t need to know the details, just the minimum to get the job done. Perfect Soldier.
There was an extra seat beside him and a pedestal in between, where he found the cube that now lay in his hands. He still thought the aircraft was unnecessary, but it was either that or he’s have to dress up. The android stored the black cube in his jacket as the controls began to flicker different lights and Ivan’s voice emerged from its speakers. “Testing… Hello, Zero?”
“Master.”
“Awesome, it works. Listen. Right now you’re headed to The Heart of Alpha, a casino under Zex’s jurisdiction. This is why it is of utmost importance that you remain hidden from all eyes. If Prometheus were to learn of our actions we would be disbanded and jailed without notice. You’re still not strong enough to fight him, so we must act like his loyal servants until you are. Your mission is to infiltrate The Heart of Alpha and take everything from their safe. Luckily for you, I have the map of the entire building. I’m downloading it onto your scouter as we speak.”
Zero nods.
“We’re almost at your destination. There are high-tech defense mechanisms on the rooftop, but soon they will deactivate for exactly five seconds. In five seconds you must bust through the security door and make your way inside, once that’s done you’re all alone. Furthermore, this spacecraft will return after thirty minutes. You must make your way back to the rooftop in thirty minutes, by which their defenses will be deactivated during those last five minutes. If you fail to mount the vehicle within the allotted time, you must wait another thirty minutes for it to return. Your goal is to leave with all of their riches without them ever knowing you were even present. If anyone sees you, kill them.”
“Yes, Master,” Zero obliged. The door of the vehicle slides open and currents of air rush in, pulling and pushing against the android. He jumped out without hesitation, just then getting that first glimpse of his target. He remembers observing the building during his previous missions, although as nothing but an after-thought. The building was to him like any other random building on Alpha Prime, but now it was a building of interest. His golden hair flutters violently in the breeze and he dives head first towards the rooftop. There were weapons lined on its surface, and they each shifted as their security system detected his presence. Moments later, the machine’s stopped moving and Zero landed safely on the rooftop’s surface. Pulling up him knees towards the chest, his lithe body rotated from its inclined position, preparing his feet for impact against the concrete. With the intention of minimizing impact sound and damage against the building, he bent his knees and crouched with the momentum he had harnessed from free falling.
Four seconds, he thought, running towards the metallic door. Zero whipped out his saber, melting through the metal. He catches the top part and places it on the ground to avoid any noise, continuing dawn a flight of chairs that spirals down. There, he finds himself with a second door which probably lead into a hallway. Zero activates his scouter and uploads the map Ivan downloaded. He could see a layout of the entire building, as well, as his destination. The safe of the casino wouldn’t be very difficult, however, he needed to bypass security. He slashes through the knob of the door and opens it manually, careful to make sure there were no spectators. His first action was to shoot one of the security cameras. Ivan modified the pistol so there wouldn’t be any sound, therefore, no one would hear his gun fire.
The floor he was in consisted of two long halls connected by two smaller ones. With the map and his scouter’s innate ability to detect life forms, he knew exactly where and how many people resides on the floor. Regardless, he wouldn’t have to deal with any of them once he entered their vents. In there, he crawled through the tight space. Whenever someone was within hearing distance, he would stop and wait for them to walk away before continuing to move. His pistol might have been silenced by the suppressor, but the sound of the metal banging against his legs and arms, they would surely detect his presence.
Making his way through the vents, he stopped above the safe as depicted on the map. Directly below it, made his way out of the vent and into the room while minding the security cameras. In this room, there was another person inside. However, the android moved fast and dashed behind the person just as his eyes were about to set to the realization that someone had entered their room. Zero swiftly and quickly slammed his hand at the back of the person’s neck and knocked them out. He would kill the person who sees him as Ivan requested, but that’s didn’t mean he had to kill them. Standing directly above the safe, he had two options: take the stairs to the lower level and sneak his way towards the safe or make a hole through the top floor. At first, he considered taking the stairs to remain unnoticed by the people in the casino, but realizing he doesn’t know the sequence to enter the safe, he would have had to blow it up regardless.
Therefore, collapsing his left hand into the wrist, he charged a cannon which had been hidden in his arm. First, the roar of his beam –however short- and the sound of explosions and tumbling pieces of concrete and metal would draw the attention of everyone inside the casino. They would start to panic, but confusion would delay their reaction as Zero grabbed all the money and headed for the rooftop. He placed the cube on the floor as Ivan had instructed and pressed on the center button. Immediately after, the entire room was scanned by the cube and its bearings swallowed inside. Zero and it were the remaining objects residing within. Alarms were blaring and red lights flashed, the sound of foots marching and the commands of leaders riddled the outside. It would soon be thirty minutes and the ship would pass by the casino’s rooftop. It would not take long for Zero to get there. Because everyone was now aware of his presence, he didn’t see why he couldn’t blast through the roof. The guards would soon open the safe to discover it is completely empty and finding two holes through the roof that led outside.
They could attempt to pursue, but the android was about to disappear. The machinery at the rooftop aimed and fired, but Zero easily dodged and deflected them with his saber. As the spacecraft approached them, the machines deactivated once more. Zero grabbed onto a leash from the craft and had it carry him away. “Good Job Zero, expectations met,” Ivan said. It was much more efficient and faster than the last time the scientist raided the casino. The cube had transported all of the goods to his headquarters without a trace left. Nobody would ever know or find them. The scientist was now much closer to reaching his goal…

Silencer: A suppressor is installed onto the pistol so nobody can detecting the sound of gun fire whenever he pulls the trigger.
