It had taken a bit longer for him to heal than he realized it would, but there would still be time for one more training session. There wasn't a whole lot of time left for him to get his plans through, but if he pushed it then it would be enough. That wasn't important right now, what was important was that he get as strong as he could within the time he did have available. He needed to be able to fight anything that threatened the group that he was going to be heading towards the planets with. For that explicit purpose was the reason he called the one man he didn't get along with that greatly to help train him, and wanted the very best opponent that he could create. Without waiting to get fully dressed, but keeping his weights on he went to the training chamber to start up the next training session and to focus his abilities to make sure he could draw the battle out and get the most out of this training. Upon entering, he noticed that the simulator and gravity were already adjust to the appropriate settings for this training. He could feel the pull of the forty-five times normal gravity right away, his body pushing against the force naturally with all the experience he had with the machine already. The landscape was the same as before, but it seemed to be before the previous destruction that had already taken place as could be seen by the people walking around the area.
“Well Marisa, Dad, I hope you both have prepared an opponent that is going to push me to my absolute limits because I need to get as strong as possible as quickly as possible,” he figured it was important to emphasis the quickly part, given that there was little time and whatever they had planned it needed to be big. “Heh, yeah we've got an opponent to push you, in fact we have multiple opponents for you to fight against this time. We'll see how good your stamina is for fighting,” there was a bit more of a condescending tone to that than what he figured was necessary, but then his father was kind of a prick at times. Still, if that was the way he was talking than he could expect a powerful opponent and multiple opponents that would push him to his limit. He just hoped it wouldn't be all at once as that wouldn't really help him to get any stronger and would just be a waste of time. Little did he know what was actually waiting for him in this simulation, he would understand what was meant by those words.
What approached from across the way was a sleek, metallic robot-like creature that had a bizarre design to it, especially for something that almost seemed identical to the creature he fought last time. Although, the design had been altered to the extent that the machine was now holding a double-bladed weapon and seemed to be more streamlined. Not wanting to go full power from the start he used his item materialization ability to form a bo staff for him, so that he could start to expand his range of skill. Spinning the weapon in his hands, he wanted to test his ability to keep it in his grip to start with and so far it seemed to be pretty well, not as fast as he would have liked but it would also help him practice the proper grip. Unfortunately, his opponent wouldn't be waiting that long and dashed across the small gap in an instant catching the Half-Saiyan by surprise as his only thought at the time was to place the bo staff between him and the blade. That would not be enough as he soon found out when the blade cleaved through the weapon as easily as it cut through the air, forcing Conri to launch himself backwards to avoid being cut in half. Even that wasn't fully enough as the blade caught him just enough to leave a relatively shallow cut across his chest, the warmth of blood already seeping down his form.
There wasn't much he could do about it though the bo staff hadn't been anything impressive and putting it against that thing's weapon was a bad test for it he realized now. Not that he shouldn't have earlier given who was running this thing, but now he would focus his attention to fight this thing with a stronger weapon than the staff. Unsheathing Fragarach he held the blade out defensively in front of him waiting to see how it would attack him this time, he had to learn this thing's movements and try to predict what it would do next. Things wouldn't go as planned, however, as a new addition to the battle would come out from burrowing through the ground. The large reptile was about the length of a bus and the height of a jeep with a massive frame to accompany it, and it was flying straight towards him with maw gaping as if to devour him whole. It seemed that all the stops were being pulled out for him, so he wouldn't disappoint by holding anything back either.
Instead of trying to dodge the creature trying to eat him, he came up with a different strategy, and grabbing the creature by its teeth, swung it towards the insect-like being. It moved forward uncaring that the other creature was flying towards it and preparing to slice through it as it moved to attack Conri himself. What neither had expected from the lizard, apparently, was that it had bitten the blade in half and used the material to add some sort of evolution onto its body. Incorporating the sharp blade into its own claws now, and shifting his gaze towards the insect he could see that the blade was rebuilding itself. Great, as if facing one of those things wasn't bad enough he now had several more that could come at him all at once. They both lunged at him and he couldn't do much at the moment other than focus on evading their attacks, one wrong move and he'd be Conri steak. Although it hadn't been a perfect escape either as he could feel the blood trickling down his arms and cheek, but that was easily fixed.
With a swipe of his thumb over the cuts and a bit of electricity flowing around said thumb, the blood had stopped and the wounds were closed preventing them from causing too much harm. He was starting to get a feel for their strength as well, they were close to him, but he still held the edge in overall power. Which meant that he was likely about to be attacked by an extra simulation, given what he knew of his father and Marisa, when he asked to be pushed to his limit they generally did it in the most painful of ways. So, the best way for him to anticipate what was going to happen next was for him to keep his senses open for an attack from every direction. Unfortunately, it wasn't too long before he could tell that there was something approaching him and it was coming from above. He could tell from the giant shadow that was forming around him as he was watching the other two creatures. Jumping out to the left, he barely managed to avoid the next monstrosity that joined the fray, but once he took a closer look at what it was, he could only stare on in disbelief. There was a massive foot where he had been standing just moments before, and connected to it was a robot that was easily as tall as a skyscraper on Earth. That was just a dick move on both of their parts, it was bad enough dealing with the two he already had coming after him, but now he had this giant monstrosity to deal with?
He wanted to be pushed to his limits, not murdered, there was a clear difference between those two lines of thought, but apparently it was only him that saw it. Well, now he knew what the boss of this fight was at least, the other two were just additions to wear him down to make the big one's job easier. Well, that just meant that he had to take the two little ones down fast and make sure that they couldn't do anything to help the big one. Then he would need a plan for that ridiculously over-sized machine, because screw that thing. Rushing towards the first one that appeared, he figured taking them down in order wouldn't be a bad idea considering they seemed to increase in size on appearance. The small, blade-wielding warrior didn't expect the attack to come to him first, but as the first fist struck true it discovered how badly off it was as Conri was crouched on top of it now wailing away with his fists. They weren't just ordinary punches either, when his fist would impact upon the insectoid creature's metallic body a burst of Ki would be released point blank at it as well. The damage at point blank range had managed to bust through his light armoring and he reached inside to rip out whatever he could to take the thing out of commission for good.
Jumping away once that was done the lizard had tried to lunge in and attack him from behind while he was distracted, but he had already done enough and let the lizard finish it with his bladed claws. Although, he couldn't use the same tactic right away again given that his hands had received quite a beating from that little trick he pulled off. He could still use them for Ki attacks, but for punching they would need to rest a bit, unfortunately there were two more enemies and resting wasn't an option. Although the attack was pretty effective, maybe he would need to figure out a way to utilize it in a more appropriate manner. He couldn't waste anytime here, however, and immediately summoned two spheres of lightning to launch at the lizard while it had distracted itself with trying to eat its fallen comrade. When they reached the creature they released two powerful explosions on impact that launched the creature away and from what Conri could tell had taken a decent chunk out of its side and did some damage to the legs.
That should keep that thing out of commission and now the third thing to deal with was that massive robot that had tried to step on him. The best approach would be to hit him with powerful attacks to take him down quickly, but there was a bit of an issue with that, considering his one heavy hitter was a close range attack. Oh well, no time to be shy now, he flared his aura and increased his power to its max while focusing power into his hands he would start things off with one of the first techniques that he had learned as a child. The power continued to build higher and higher, it wasn't sufficient yet to take down the behemoth that was staring him down and seeming to prepare its own attack. When the energy reached critical mass, that was when he unleashed the attack against the giant robot and released a Masenko that dwarfed his own size immensely. He could feel the power reverberating throughout the entire area, and realized just what kind of power he was wielding at this moment. He had grown much stronger in such a short amount of time, but that very power needed to be properly treated and used, otherwise it could cause much more harm than good. Staring at his hands he would need to make sure that after the trip he focused on controlling the power so that it wouldn't wind up controlling him.
It was like that old saying: absolute power corrupts absolutely, granted he didn't believe in an absolute power anyways especially not with Humans or Saiyans. There was always room to grown stronger and understanding that there were other incredibly strong powers out in the universe would help him keep his head clear. Although, he also had a human friend to help with that as well, if his words were true. While he didn't like that Kurosanai mentioned interfering with his affairs with the church, he did appreciate that his friend would help keep him on the right path. He would return the favor though, whether the young Muzai realized it or not, he himself was a hero in the making. Shaking those thoughts from his head, he had to focus on the fight at hand as he rushed towards the monstrosity, and readied himself for the next attack as he summoned what appeared to be a trident made of pure energy. As he neared the spot his first attack struck dead center of its chest and let loose a powerful explosion that weakened the no doubt several foot thick armor that protected the machine's most vulnerable spot, but it would not help in this situation. The three prong pierced through the metal and into the interior when the boosting started and began to pull the robot backwards and down, crashing it into the ground with a thunderous crash followed with the ground shaking from the mass.
That wasn't the end of his technique, though, as a large explosion erupted from the hole crated by the spear shredding the machine apart from the inside out. With that done Conri waited for the simulation to end as he moved over to one of the few remaining walls of the wasteland setting, leaning against it to recover some of his strength. The more time that went by though, the more that he realized that the simulation wasn't ending even though he had defeated the three enemies. Standing he looked around the area trying to see if he had missed something, but as far as he could see, everything had been taken down. It seemed that he would have to be here for a little bit longer, not that he minded too much, he was still getting stronger just being in the gravity. That was more just a bit of bullshitting to himself as he could easily sense the power that was waiting across the cityscape from where he currently was located. That meant these three weren't even meant to be a serious threat to him, and while that was true when he decided to go at things seriously it still wasn't cool.
The power he felt though was something he could already see was far beyond what he could imagine normally, whatever this final opponent was, this was the one that he was meant to fight in the first place. Those others were just there for him to get into a serious mood for as the Half-Saiyan wasn't always a fast starter when it came to fighting. The fact that the resting power of this new opponent was already so high, it was a bit disconcerting as to just what he was about to face. As he approached, the man wasn't really anything out of the ordinary, he was human as far as the Half-Saiyan could tell, had blonde hair and catching a bit of his eyes from the side seemed to have blue-colored ones. He was wearing simple clothes, amounting to a t-shirt and jeans, but something about the way he stood looking was enough to make Conri's senses stand on end. It was like looking at a dangerous beast, and he could tell that the power level he was sensing was just a small portion of what it really could reach.
“So, who are you? It seems like you're not just one of the random nameless enemies I'm being pitted against,” Conri question the man who seemed to be staring out at the wasteland with a blank expression. It was hard to get a read on him with such a stoic look, but something seemed to change the moment he spoke to the man as well as the blue eyes focused on him. It felt like he was being put under a microscope and having every part of him examined thoroughly. It seemed that there was a quiet, subtle pulse of power from him, a hint of possible anger that was boiling up from deep within his body. It was then that his true power started to leak throughout his aura, and showed to the young warrior that it was like facing down a tempest should he try to fight against the being. Somehow it made the Half-Saiyan feel small and insignificant, it was strange for him to feel that way, normally there wouldn't be such a monstrosity that he couldn't face off directly against. This time it seemed that those two were trying to do something else, but he couldn't for the life of him think what it could be off the top of his head.
“Th'fuck is it to you who the hell I am? You walked up to me, least you could do is introduce yourself,” the man spoke without a lick of concern about offending anyone. Not that he could say anything about that considering the way he generally spoke to everyone, although his own tones were usually more subtle. Like the little back and forth he had with Tsuyo in the palace, not many could say that they had spoken to the king of New Vegeta in such a way, especially not those from the small moon. Still, this guy just seemed to rub him the wrong way, mostly because it seemed he just didn't care about anything as well. His expression hadn't changed at all despite that he had flared his power in such a way as to make it seem as though he was angry.
“I'm Conri Lane, and you?” he questioned the man, the name made him focus more intently on Conri now, which could either be good or bad. The taller man approached him with a wary eye this time, something about his name intrigued him to some extent. Circling around him as if to study him entirely and trying to figure something out about the Half-Saiyan, but seeming to be exasperated by this whole situation. Finally, he stopped in front of Conri and looked him right in the eyes trying to gauge his response. Did he not believe him when he told him the name or was it a name that he didn't like very much?
“Is this s'pose to be some kind of damn joke? You're Conri Lane? Don't give me that bullshit, I'm the real Conri Lane you lil' shit,” before he could even try thinking of a response for that comment, he felt the impact of an open palm but even that was only after he was sent flying by the sheer force of the strike. He could barely stabilize himself as he rocketed across the landscape until landing against one of the few remaining buildings in this wasteland, and brought it crumbling down on top of him. He couldn't even fully register everything that had happened to him, first the guy had been talking and in the next he was flying across the wasteland with such incredible speed and force that he couldn't alter his course. He was well past being twice as strong as Conri was at this point, and he could feel broken ribs and possibly other broken bones, it was a miracle he was still alive with that power. Then again, it was likely that this guy just wanted him alive for whatever reason he might have in mind, if he hadn't held back his power, then there was no reason Conri would still be standing or still breathing. Standing probably didn't feel like an option at this point, but he couldn’t just let him get away with attacking him either. The strangest thing about this was what the other man had said though, the real Conri Lane? What the hell did that even mean?
As he lifted his head to look for the man once more, his heart sank a bit as the man was right in front of him, having crossed that insane distance without the Half-Saiyan even noticing his presence. He didn't get time to think about it too much as he was lifted out of the rubble by the neck, left dangling a few inches off the ground. The pressure around his windpipe began to increase, slowly restricting his breathing to the point where the best he could get was a shallow gasp of air. Then just as slowly as it had been applied was it released and he was dropped to the ground without any care.
“Now how about we try that again, hm? Tell me what your name is and this time don't try to play games with me, I am not someone you want to anger,” the tone of his voice told that he was not making an empty threat with that. Not to mention getting sent across the city before he could even register what had fully happened supported that theory as well. The issue was there was no other answer that he could give, his name was his name, regardless of what this person wanted. Even if he was a simulation, he knew that he wouldn't be let out unless he could figure out a way to take him on; it was always like this with his father.
Coughing sharply he could feel that he had some internal wounds, that fact made even more apparent by the blood that had splattered onto his hand afterward. The situation had quickly escalated as well, it had gone from talking to almost full on strangulation in a matter of seconds and that was not a good sign of things to come. If he wanted to get out of this he was going to have to overcome this person somehow, but as far as he could tell, there was just too large of a gap in power. He had no idea how to overcome that much of a difference, nothing would play a factor here except for power, but he had no more power to use he was at his limit. If he couldn't do something about it then he was going to be leaving this simulation in a body bag worst case scenario. Standing up to face the man he had no options, so if that was the case he would just face this opponent head on and try to beat him. Unfortunately, as soon as he attempted to throw a punch at the man, he felt his arm instantly shatter into multiple pieces from a powerful strike against it. The pain hadn't even had time to register as his arm went from a closed fist to swinging limply through the air like a noodle. It took his body a few seconds before the surge of pain came rushing through him and nearly knocking him unconscious from the rapid and powerful jolts of pain.
He couldn't even fully cry out in pain from his arm either as a fist was suddenly striking his head and launching him across the desert once more, bouncing helplessly against the ground as he flew further away. That was when he realized that this simulation had transcended the border between human and monster, he was a terrifying presence to the Half-Saiyan as he could do nothing but be knocked around like he was just a toy. He tried to stand up but the last few attacks had left him with shaky legs, they couldn't hold firmly enough for him to push up. Plus with his right eye swollen as much as it had been from that hit, his depth perception was now completely off. Taking a few deep breaths he tried to steady himself and recover as much as possible, since it seemed his opponent would be taking his time coming after him. Although, that would be a really bad plan to try wearing the man down that way, but sadly not entirely off the table for a strategy. He either had to find a way to weaken his opponent or get stronger himself, and the latter didn't seem possible within a short time frame. Then a thought hit him and he glanced to where the other three had fallen getting an idea in his head that might work out for him. It was a gamble though, but either way he was in the same boat, so it was definitely do or die time now as he pulled himself along the ground to position himself properly for his plan. The other part of this plan was to trust that his body was tough enough to take another hit like that and stay in one piece, otherwise this was where it would end.
“Hey Asshole, even if you kick my ass it's not gonna change my name so come and get me,” he called out, and before he could even think of anything the man was there lifting him up by the throat again. There was no words spoken because the message was clear as to what was going to happen, this other 'Conri Lane' had taken his offer and was about to unleash pain on him. It happened in an instant as well, at least twenty punches that he could count as the man laid into his body before delivering a powerful blow to his stomach that launched him into the air. His body flying high enough where he could survey the entire area with his one good eye, looking for the stage two of his plan. He had a rough idea of where it was, and when he finally did spot it, he aimed his good arm to direct his flight towards it. The downside to this plan was that there was no landing strategy and he was going to feel the impact on top of everything that was already aching.
With the crash, he couldn't let the pain delay him any and using his psychokinetic powers pushed the small insectoid robot towards the lizard while also pulling the massive robot closer to it as well. If his thoughts were right on the matter, then he would soon get a creature that could help him defeat his new opponent. The downside being that it would likely turn on him as soon as that happened, but that was the way things would have to be then, he was in no condition to fight anymore right now. With that all done he let his arm fall lifelessly, it was just an issue of seeing if his plan would come to completion now. He would it would soon if it was going to, as he was lifted into the air once more this time by his hair and struck in the face with immense power, if he could feel pain at all anymore he would take a guess that his jaw was broken. With all the built up damage and pain, however, his mind had gone numb leaving him to only guess at if he could even survive anymore attacks or not. He was probably hit a few more times as well, but given his current numbed state, he was unaware of just how badly he was being broken.
Before the other Conri could try to finish the job, however, a massive paw swiped at him and sent him away from the Half-Saiyan's half dead body. The best he could muster was a twitch of his lip that the plan had managed to work to this extent already. Even if he was eaten by the creature, he had managed to put something together to hurt the bastard that had left him in this bloodied state. He couldn't see or really hear what was going on that well, but he could tell that the man was now fighting something that rivaled his power and was pushing him back. With that now in thought he couldn't help the laugh that came from his lips, though he couldn't keep it up for long before he started to cough up more blood. There had been a world of difference between his power and the other man's to the point that he couldn't even fight against him, but he had managed to come up with a plan against him. That was also probably a part of the lesson that he was supposed to learn, but for what purpose, he couldn't truly understand. It was this barrier of neither one understanding the other that would continue a friction that would likely last as long as they both were still alive.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden sound of loud footsteps approaching his body, the sheer weight behind them that caused the loud sound gave way to the identity of what was approaching. When the lizard creature came up on his right side, even with his poor depth perception he could see it looming over him, regardless of what it was about to do to him, he couldn't bother being angry or afraid. It had helped him in his fight in the end and for that he would be grateful to the beast, lifting his still useable arm and placing it on the creature's snout.
“Thanks,” was all he could say before his body officially ran out of energy and he could only sit there, staring up at the sky in an attempt to recover whatever energy he could. He suspected that his savior would now try to eat him as well, but he figured it was better than being beaten to death by some weird jackass. What he wasn't expecting was for it to curl up around him as if it was guarding him, and he could only stare in confusion before his eyes closed. With his body aware that there was no longer danger, it went into a hibernation of sorts to recover, and without his knowing the simulation and gravity were shut off as his body was placed inside of a healing chamber on his ship.
Still, if that was the way he was talking than he could expect a powerful opponent and multiple opponents that would push him to his limit.
